(A twisted horror masterpiece!)
『If you are offended by the F-Bomb, disgusted by dead animals and unfathomable filth, frightened by the thoughts of a serial killer dressed as a clown ala John Wayne Gacy, or appalled at onscreen murder and torture, then this is not the movie for you.

A psychotic family on a secluded ranch are awaken one morning by a police raid led by acerbic small town Sheriff Rydell (Williams Forsythe). What the law will soon find is not only the tens of missing people, but also the results of the most heinous mass murdering spree in U.S. history. When Rydell only manages to capture the family matriarch - Mother Firefly (Leslie Easterbrook) - his personal vendetta, which has a taken on Captain Ahab proportions, burns his desire for justice asunder.

The remaining family members are perhaps the most disturbed group of sociopathic killers ever. Led by foul mouthed father Captain Spaulding (Sid Haig), a quick-witted pervert who paints his face like a clown; the other two are brother Otis (Bill Moseley), a wraith-like psychopath with grungy hair (he looks like a Rob Zombie album cover); and sister Baby (Sheri Moon Zombie), a blonde bombshell who disarms with her beauty and surprises with her sadism. The trio wreaks havoc upon all they encounter, and abuse the world about them without remorse or hesitation. When Sheriff Rydell enlists the help of criminal mercenaries - played brilliantly by the duo of Danny Trejo and Diamond Dallas Page - the explosive situation runs its course in a heart-stopping finale.

Everything is near perfection, and Devil's Rejects has the feel of an older horror movie. With one Texas Chainsaw Massacre homage after another, there is definite respect paid to 70s and 80s horror (i.e. several unnecessary T&A shots, stupid people die, over-the-top sadism). Even Michael Berryman, original creepy bald guy from The Hills Have Eyes, makes an appearance as a pimp's right-hand man. The pacing of the movie falls right in line with theme, even providing a few freeze-frames mixed in so viewers can absorb the carnage. The blood and gore are all present, and just enough to satisfy the gorehound. The acting is top notch, believable, and downright scary. The lengths to which Haig, Moseley, and Zombie go to make everyone loathe them is outstanding; in their attempts at evil and wickedness, they are admirable.

Credit goes to Rob Zombie for making a captivating tale of evil, and for a creation that not only resembles the work of Tarantino, but rivals it as well. Highly recommended for the demented - one of the best horror movies of the past several years.』

(Rob Zombie should have paid Karen Black whatever she wanted!)
『OK I love this movie, I guess it's hard to tell that from the title of my review but it's true. I just think it could have been better if it had better actresses, namely better actresses than Sherri Moon and Leslie Easterbrook. Since Sherri is the director's wife I guess she can't be replaced but she should, because I never bought the whole Baby Firefly character that Sherri was trying to portray. I think the character could have been effective if Sherri had portrayed her as more of a tough Texas redneck girl but instead Sherri Moon's character just seems like a dumb blonde Valley girl. And don't get me started on Leslie Easterbrook! I don't know what Zombie was thinking to cast Easterbrook as Mother Firefly instead of Karen Black. Black was great as Mama in House of 1,000 Corpses. Black was sexy, funny, with a touch of evil and most importantly of all she KNOWS how to ACT. Easterbrook doesn't know how to act, overact and scream yes, but act no! Ok these are the negative aspects of the Devils' Rejects let's get to the good elements: Bill Moseley as Otis B. Driftwood totally steals this movie. Moseley is downright frightening in his role. He reminds me so much of Charles Manson with his long wild hair and wicked beard. Rob Zombie did a great job in changing the character of Otis from House of 1,000 Corpses. He made Otis more realistic and therefore scarier! The part where Otis humiliates and brutalizes the country music band in the motel is very realistic and disturbing. The character of Otis is evil and repulsive and Moseley plays the character perfectly. Another great acting job is done by Bill Forsythe as Sheriff Wydell, the lawman who seeks revenge against the Devil's Rejects for the murder of Wydell's brother in House of 1,000 corpses. Forsythe is hilarious when he chews out the movie critic and threatens to kick his ass for saying something bad about Elvis!! LOL! The movie itself is a combination of a horror and revenge movie. The movie is not exactly original but it is better than its predecessor House of 1,000 Corpses. The best thing about this movie is the way that Rob Zombie has changed the face of horror. Thank God that Zombie got rid of those awful tongue-in-cheek crap movies like Scream and I know what you did last summer. Zombie's horror is honest and in your face and it's exactly what we horror fans have been waiting for!』

(The greatest revenge movie of all time.)
『The Devils Rejects is written and directed by rock star Rob Zombie. The move is a sequel, but it's one of those sequels that doesn't require the viewer to watch the first film to understand what's going on. It works as a stand-alone film. In my opinion, The Devil's Rejects is not only one of the greatest sequels of all time, but it's also the greatest revenge movie of all time too.

The story takes place in the late 1970's, and is about this deranged and dysfunctional family of serial killers called "The Firefly's", but they are nicknamed "The Devil's Rejects" by the media. They're on the run from the local Sheriff, John Wydell, but the twist is, the Sheriff is just as crazy and violent as the Firefly family, so some viewers may be left to wonder who they're suppose to cheer for, and who they're suppose to be scared of, and I love that. That is one of the many things that makes the film so appealing to me. It's not about telling you what to think. It's about making you think for yourself.

I also love that different people have a different perspective of the whole film. Most movies it goes like this: Here's the good guy. Here's the bad guy. This is what you're suppose to think. That's okay sometimes, but overall, it's kinda boring and/or not too memorable. I like films like The Devil's Rejects, Hard Candy, Falling Down, Taxi Driver, and A Clockwork Orange where you don't really know who the hero is, who the bad guy is, and the director/writer refuses to tell you what to think, and leaves the answers to you, and makes you think. I like that Rob Zombie gives the audience options, and allows the viewer to create his or her own personal interpretation. It makes the movie seem more real, because there are no true good or bad guys out there, and with this film, you're left to wonder a lot of things. For example: Is Sheriff Wydell the hero of the movie, or just another psycho nutjob?

The reason why Sheriff John Wydell is so blood thirsty for revenge is because the family murdered his brother, George Wydell, in the previous movie, so now John Wydell is determined to seek revenge, and he uses his power as the Sheriff to catch the family any way he can, even if it means breaking the same laws he's suppose to enforce and protect, or hurting other people, innocent or guilty.

William Forsythe as Sheriff Wydell steals the show in my view. You just can't take your eyes off him. He's a ticking time bomb. Wydell at times comes across as a highly religious fanatic. I think Wydell believes he is doing God's work. After all, God does say in the bible, "Vengeance is mine,". Even God loves revenge, according to the bible. Loves it so much that he doesn't wanna share it. So God says revenge is for him only, but if God admits to using revenge, and if God can only do good, does that mean revenge is good? Does that mean if we are made in God's image, that revenge is not done out of hate, but is infact a blessed thing? I believe Wydell thinks so, and that he was chosen by God to carry out his work. The tension builds and builds before Wydell finally loses it. At one point, Sheriff Wydell acts no different then any other psycho killer you'd see in a horror movie, only the victims he targets are members of the Firefly family.

Now there are moments when The Devil's Rejects will say or do things that might make the audience laugh with them, and relate to him, as well as even feel sorry for them....but then they will turn around, and do something totally shocking and violent....to remind us that they are still dangerous people....but people nonetheless. Then you have a character like Sheriff Wydell who is just trying to protect society from highly dangerous people....and get revenge not only for his brother, but for all the innocent people The Devil's Rejects have tortured and killed.....once you realize and understand that, Wydell will also do something totally shocking and violent....to remind you he is not all that innocent either. To give an example: There's a funny scene where a movie critic insults Elvis Presley, and Wydell is a hardcore Elvis fan, so Wydell just goes psycho on him, and threatens him. The whole scene is hilarious, but it goes to show that if Wydell would get that ticked off over something like that, it's no wonder he became so insane after losing his brother.

It's a very interesting character study. Pretty much all the characters could have their own spin-off movies that center on them because they are all that interesting. All the actors also have amazing faces, eyes, and voices too that really stand out.

Another thing I love about the film: Rob Zombie was able to take really sick people and make them very likeable. It seems like some people cheer for the villains in horror movies just for the sake of it, and cause they wanna be rebels, but Rob Zombie actually actually took evil people and gave them great personalities so you could generally like and care about them, and have good reasons to wanna side with them.

I like how the movie in a way was custom made for horror fans who cheer for the bad guys in movies. People who like to support the bad guys were also able to see things from a victims point of view which was probably a first for them too. In most horror movies, they're cheering the killer on as he chases the victims, but in this case, like the Firefly family, they were able to see what it was like from another point of view, and the viewer who is cheering for them gets to be scared and worried, and sitting on the edge of their seat as someone insane stalked their favorite characters with an intention of torturing and killing them.

Wydell was a perfect creation for the type of people who like to root the bad guys to cheer against. I think anyone can enjoy this movie, but I do think it's target audience was the gothic/emo/skater/biker kind of crowd. Even though all horror movie fans come from all walks of life, the majority of them are usually the gothic type....tats, piercing's, are atheist or Satanist, etc. And then you have Wydell playing the part of a cop, and most people hate cops, and Wydell not only played a cop, he played the type of cop and Christian most people hate. Most people hate rednecks too, so him being a hick probably also angered some people, and gave them more reason to hate him.

Rob Zombie strikes me as the type of guy who probably did root for the bad guys in a lot of movies, especially horror films, when he was a teenager, and I feel like Zombie was finally making a movie for all the people out there who like to cheer for the villains, but also left plenty of room out there for people who wanted to cheer Wydell, and gave them good reasons to do.

It makes me sad that some people would look at this film, and just think it's another sick violent movie that serves no purpose, and that people only watch it cause they're sickos. Nothing could be further from truth. This is actually one of the more intelligent horror films because it challenges you, makes you think, and presents many questions, and there is no truly right or wrong answer. But it can paint a good picture of what kind of person you are based on what you think. But some people are too blind in their hate for horror to understand that. Even people who love horror may just be too gore obsessed to see the whole big picture.

Some people who don't understand horror movies, or only care about gore probably would not get the many points I think writer/director Rob Zombie makes with this film. Horror haters/Gore lovers should understand that not all horror movies have violence for the sake of it, nor do all the people who go to see them go to watch them cause they get off on the blood, gore, and death. Sure, movies are made to entertain people, and for the people who make them to get lots of cash, but some movies can create good discussion about one's principles, how we should be run as a society, and might make you think of some questions you never thought of before, and can help you grow as people. In the case of The Devil's Rejects, I think one of the most important questions is: Do you support cruel and unusual punishments? You see these characters doing all these horrible things to innocent people, and it has to be sick and disturbing so later on when they get a taste of their own medicine, you can ask yourself that question if they deserve it or not, and if criminals in real life deserve the same treatment. What you think and decide I believe tells a lot about whom you are.

Some people cheer for The Devil's Rejects, and other people cheer for Sheriff Wydell. It's up to you who you wanna side with. I personally side with Wydell. He's like an old-school, anti-hero kind of character, and Forsythe has the look of what a real action star should look like in my view. Most action heroes today are just Hollywood pretty boys. Back in the day, you had real action stars played by actors who actually looked like they could kick some butt in real life if they needed to. You could believe they were tough, because they had the look down perfectly, and that is the case with Wydell/Forsythe.

I sometimes wanna cheer for the Firefly family, and I did in House of 1000 Corpses, but after seeing some of the things the family does in The Devil's Rejects, it's hard not to wanna see them get what they deserve. This film also makes me wonder if Charles Manson ever had a daughter, if he'd break down crying if someone put her in the same dangers he put others in. But I get the point Rob may have been making. You see these characters doing all these sick things to people, but then those same characters can make you laugh, and relate to them in the next scene. And I think the point Rob was making was that they were human too, and even the most sickest criminal out there isn't just some evil person. I sometimes wonder if Rob was making some type of anti-death penalty message. It's like even though these people deserve it, do they really have to go through with that? I think it's the goodness and the compassion that makes us different from the killers, and if we act like them, we're no better. But sometimes, it can be hard to make a choice on what you think in regards of this film, because one minute, I wouldn't mind seeing the Firefly family getting their karma after all they do to other people, but the next minute, I may be feeling sorry for them.

The movie is unique in a lot of ways. For example, most horror movie "heroes" are usually young and female, and they just barely survive (if at all) and are usually running around, screaming, all cut up, and unsure of what to do. But Wydell is the type of character that could probably take down an entire army of zombies without any fear in his eyes.

Also, in most horror movies, the killers are always doing the stalking, but in this film, it's the killers themselves that are being tracked down, and it's interesting seeing how these violent people react to being placed in the same position they put others in.

Rob Zombie's other movie, "Halloween", also makes the same type of point that was made in The Devil's Rejects, and that is, revenge is messy, and it never really goes the way you want it to. And really, Rob Zombie's Michael Myers was a little bit like Sheriff Wydell because it was violence that made them violent. And what separates them from heroic characters seeking revenge in movies is that Wydell and Myers both became just like the villains they loathed. It's as if evilness is a sickness, and if you're exposed to it for too long, you lose whatever morals you had, and you become what you once hated. Some victims may be able to rise above it, and still be good, but not all of us can. It could be debated that those who can't are weaker and/or that they may have just always been evil, and would have done evil things at some point, even if they were not victims.

Both Wydell and Myers wanted revenge, but they both had trouble controlling it, and perhaps Rob Zombie is trying to make a point that like the old saying goes: "Revenge is a dish best served cold." Meaning if the person wanting revenge goes into it all hot, he's likely to go hungry. But the guy who approaches his mission and is all calm, cool, and collected about it, he can overeat.

In closing, I like The Devil's Rejects because it's a great story, and it's realistic. The camera work, the story, and the characters are all great, and the characters all look, and act like real people, and I like realism in my movies. I'm also a big classic rock fan, and the movie has plenty of great 70's songs on the soundtrack. The Devil's Rejects is one of those movies where you sit there and watch the credits roll, and think "Wow." If you haven't seen it yet, please go buy or rent it. It's worth it.』

(A favorite movie of mine)
『Great from the VERY first minute to-one of the best endings I have EVER seen. You will hate loving these terrible people. This is one of my all time favorite movies from any genre. You wont believe the things they do, yet they are likeable, it's disturbing. I even had a crush on Otis-don't judge until you've seen it, seriously! The music-cool 70's music during mad chaous at times. Great cast, great story, great characters. Some scenes are difficult to watch, others you want to watch over and over. It's not a slasher flick! It is a movie that will take you on a wild ride and you will love it. Turn off your cell phones! You wont want to miss a minute. I'm not exaggerating.』

(This crew makes Rob Zombie look normal)
『Over the years Sid has heard a lot about Rob Zombie's The Devil's Rejects and decided to finally check it out. Watching leads you to one motley crew of freaks with Captain Spaulding being the most offensive and vile, if we had to pick one. He's played by Sid Haig, not of elf descent, who is one of the strangest looking human walking the earth. This guy would be just as creepy cashing a check at the bank as he would dressed up as his murderous clown character. Now we're full aware that this was the sequel to House of 1000 Corpses, but decided to watch this one first anyway since it appeared to be the better flick.

The film takes place in Ruggsville Texas as Sheriff John Wydell (William Forsythe) and a crew of police show up at the serial killing Reject's house. Opening fire they manage to catch mother Firefly as the rest of the crew gets away. Now on the lamb Otis and his sister Baby (played by Rob Zombie's wife who just happens to be really hot) meet up with daddy Captain Spaulding and keep reeking havoc on some innocent folks at a run down motel. However Sheriff John Wydell is bent on revenge for his brother's death and catched up to the Rejects for quite a great scene.

Surprisingly The Devils Rejects was a really good horror flick. Yes it was very gory, which we never look for, but it fit the film since these were very deranged people. As far as the reviews go it's either people love it or hate it. If you hate it then you probably went in expecting too much, which is never a good idea for a horror film. Usually if you don't set the bar too high you'll have yourself a fun watch. So to sum it up yes Sid enjoyed this and would have years ago especially for Sheri Moon Zombie, who Sid wouldn't mind chasing around the room with a pink turkey baster.』

『From the visionary mind of acclaimed musician Rob Zombie comes Lions Gate Films The Devil's Rejects the gritty violent follow-up to Zombie s smash horror hit House of 1000 Corpses. Written and directed by Zombie The Devil's Rejects reunites the homicidal members of the Firefly family tracing their bloody flight from an outlaw sheriff hell-bent on revenge.System Requirements:Run Time: 109 minsFormat: BLU-RAY DISC Genre: HORROR Rating: UNRATED UPC: 031398195078 Manufacturer No: 19507』
『Homicidal maniacs have a field day in Rob Zombie'sThe Devil's Rejects, an ultraviolent spin-off from Zombie's critically reviled 2003 debut,House of 1,000 Corpses. As Zombie continues to cultivate his name-brand variety of extreme horror and splatter-film homage, he definitely takes his place among connoisseurs of carnage. In the case ofThe Devil's Rejects, several characters from1,000 Corpsesreturn for another marathon of mayhem, as the murderous Firefly family (led by Sid Haig as the maniacal "Captain Spaulding") turn their bloody wrath against hostages in a fleabag motel, while the local sheriff (William Forsythe) plots revenge against them for the killing of his brother. Before their inevitable showdown, Zombie has plenty of fun--perhaps a little too much fun--indulging his penchant for sick, sadistic humor and gruesome atrocity. Clearly, Zombie fancies himself as horror's answer to Quentin Tarantino, but he lacks Tarantino's gift for riveting plots and escalating tension. Instead,The Devil's Rejectsis just raw, rampant excess from start to finish, paying visual tribute to gruesome classics from the '70s and guaranteed to earn the cult status that Zombie is all too obviously aiming for. (DON"T YOU RECOGNISE A CLASSIC CAMP?)
『I couldn't stand the rating on this one. Had to set things straight. The title and cover picture can throw you. I didn't want to watch it to begin with until my kid told me about it. But I love "True Blood" too. I read the books long before it went to TV.
If you are on the current bandwagon for Vampires, don't belive what these other ratings say about this movie. Check it out.』

『This movie was excellent. It wasnt scratched or messed up at all. I would order from the person I bought it from again』

(Excellent Adaptation)
『The movie Queen of the Damned is an excellent adaptation of several of the Vampire Chronicles stories interweaved as one. I thought that Stuart Townsend did a great job as Lestat as well as Vincent Perez as a very believeable and likeable Marius. As an Anne Rice fan i was very content with this adaptation. Word on the streets is that Universal is going to make another series of Anne's books into films starting with The Vampire Chronicles which will be starring Robert Downey Jr. as Lestat. I can't wait. Until then, enjoy Queen of the Damned.』

(Vampire Junkie!!!)
『Loved this movie!!!! Aaliyah did great in her role as Akasha, and the movie was entertaining. Great Soundtrack as well!!』
『It's her time. Her place. The wickedly regal Mother of All Vampires is ready again to rule! Aaliyah plays the title role in this stylish shocker based on Anne Rice's The Vampire Chronicles. Stuart Townsend portrays Lestat, the undead antihero previously seen in the movie version of Anne Rice's Interview with the Vampire. This time, Lestat finds acceptance in a tattooed and pierced world. He's a rock star. And his intoxicating Goth-riffed sound rekindles the desires of all-powerful Akasha.』

(the only curse here is another below average film in this franchise)
『6.6 THE FILM ITSELF
7.0 VISUALS
6.5 SOUND
3.0 PACKAGING
0.0 EXTRAS

Halloween: The Curse of Michael Myers is a decent film. However, much like the rest of the films in the series, it has some interesting moments, but nowadays more laughably bad moments and ridiculous characters. I mean, seriously. No one sees a freakin' blood trail or finds a crying baby in some random train station / business in the middle of a busy day? Seriously? But aside from the that the new spin here is that Michael is part of a cult called the "Thorn"... er, something like that.

Bottom line: It's a passable film that is fun to watch when you want to reminisce about such a profitable franchise and to remember just how far the series has come since the original film.

7.0 VISUALS
Nothing special here. Alot of grain, and blacks. Nothing stands out, and no special effects really needed or shown. But luckily the movie doesn't need fantastic visuals to still be "scary" (for some).

6.5 SOUND
The typical theme is here which is the best part of the movie. Dialogue is cheesy at times and there's no use of ambience or sound effects for home theater nuts.

3.0 PACKAGING
Nothing special, actually, just plain bad. I wish the creators and the company would've spent more time building up these films instead of just sending them to DVD with bland menus.

0.0 EXTRAS
Absolutely nothing here. Bare bones DVD. Just the film. Unexcusable.

IN CLOSING
The film is mediocre, and passable at best. A new wrinkle in the mythology of the show is nice and mixes some things up. But the film certainly isn't scary for anything - especially after all these years. But for fans of the series or horror movies in general, there will be some fun in watching this film. No special features at all though really makes this DVD set a let down. Is this the VHS age or what?

6.6/10 "PASSABLE"』

(Mrs. Hub loves Halloween)
『I am a huge fan of the Halloween Movies and was unable to find this movie anywhere else for the low low price. Thanks Amazon!』

(HALLOWEEN 6)
『HALLOWEEN:The Curse Of Michael Myers which is the 6th sequel to the Halloween saga and should've been called HALLOWEEN 6: THE CURSE OF MICHAEL MYERS was a so-so kind of movie.

It was okay, but it wasn't that great and was somewhat predictable since a lot of the same sort of action and plot happens again in this movie such as immature teenagers partying, getting high, teenagers having premarital sex, and always having the jerks and the teens who get laid die off, just like all those characters did in the first 5 Halloween installments and just like they always do in your typcial horror flick including all the FRIDAY THE 13TH's, the NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET's, HELL NIGHT, PROM NIGHT, THE HOUSE ON SORORITY ROW, etc.; except in this HALLOWEEN sequel Laurie Strode's alcoholic abusive father John Strode(Bradford English)decides to be optimistic by buying the old Myers house and move his family in there since he was never able to get that house sold after being vacant for at least over 30 years since every Haddonfield resident felt the Myers house was haunted ever since Michael Myers killed his sister at age 6 in 1963, but John and his wife(Kara Strode)end up dying off in the middle of this movie and the Myers house blows up into smithereens at the end of the movie while being chased by the relentless Michael Myers(George Wilbur).

This horror flick also takes me back to memory lane to when I was still living in the Imperial Valley in my hometown(El Centro,CA)when Halloween VI had it theatrical release in the Fall of 1995.』

(Now this is a Halloween movie!)
『No sequel in the Halloween series has divided fans more than part 6: The Curse of Michael Myers. You either love it or hate it, but I thought part 6 had everything a Michael Myers movie should have. It was extremely suspenseful, Michael was arguably in his scariest form, the acting was good for the most part, and it left you wanting more. When I saw H6 in the theater, I couldn't wait for the sequel to find out what happened. Unfortunately the producers decided to abandon the whole storyline from parts 4 through 6 in order for Jamie Lee to reprise her role as Lorie Strode in the teen friendly H20. So we'll never get a proper sequel.

Personally, it's one of my favorite and most watched in the series behind parts 1 and 4. I just wish we could get a blu-ray release which includes the Producer's cut. I highly recommend adding Curse to your Halloween collection.』

『For pulse-pounding suspense and relentless thrills, nothing can match HALLOWEEN: THE CURSE OF MICHAEL MYERS -- one of the most frightening chapters in the chilling HALLOWEEN series! In a single horrifying night, Michael Myers' masked reign of terror changed Halloween forever! Now, six years after he was presumed dead in a fire, Myers has returned to kill again -- and this time there's no escape! As the homicidal fury builds to a spine-tingling cliimax, the long-hidden secrets of the screen's most maniacal murderer are revealed ... with shocking results! Starring a thrilling cast including legendary Donald Pleasence (HALLOWEEN, THE ADVOCATE) and Paul Rudd (THE CIDER HOUSE RULES, CLUELESS).』
『The series premise continues to stretch so thin it could dissipate. This time, Michael Myers chases his unfortunate niece around, then goes after a family who happen to be living in his former home. This is slasher-ism at its most cynical, and a thoroughly unpleasant, unimaginative, and unredeeming movie. Donald Pleasence, the one holdover from the original film, looks like he'd rather be anywhere than in this thing.--Tom Keogh

(Not quite what I expected....)
『I ordered the slim set, and received the older wide set. I'm not too upset because the discs still worked and the delivery was pretty fast, but still, you expect to get what you ordered.....』

(When door closes another one opens)
『Angel's last full season on Buffy, Faith's first. Just as the final year of high school ushers in a new chapter in the characters lives, it also brings in a rogue slayer as a protagonist for Buffy and the Scoobie Gang. Dusted Vamps, killed critters, heroic action, just what the doctor ordered. The big finale sees the loss of the high school and Buffy's one true love. Excellent writing and compelling acting with plenty of special effects to boot. The Joss Whedon blueprint.』

(Great follow-up)
『This third season of Buffy was great, it picked up right where season 2 left off. Buffy is now living in LA, in a depression after being forced to kill Angel at the end of the last season. Back in Sunny dale, her friends are trying to fill the void left by her absence, hunting the vampires on their own. The very first episode, "Anne", is one of my favorite episodes in the series, and also my favorite season premiere. I mean, the season just opened with a bang. Somehow, that whole slave thing underground reminded me of "Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom." Anyway, Buffy eventually returns to Sunnydale after remembering her calling. At first, her mom and her friends seem happy to have her back, but with time, Buffy realizes that they are all very angry with her for leaving the way she did.

Now I just want to say something here that I haven't said in my earlier reviews of this series. I hate Buffy's mom. She's such a control freak. I mean, in the first two seasons, it was understandable for her to be so overbearing. She didn't know that Buffy was the slayer. She thought Buffy was just immature. Now that she knows, she's going to be more understanding, right? Well, no. She, along with Willow and Xander, are very angry at Buffy for leaving Sunnydale. Um, WHAT!? Buffy just killed the man she loved, she sacrificed him to save the world! And let's not forget the fact that she lost just about everything else, too. She was, at the time, wanted for murder, expelled from school, and kicked out of her house by her mother. You know, the same one who's angry at her for leaving. So Buffy left for a few months to be alone for a while. Only someone as strong as Buffy could have had all that happen to her and not gone insane or committed suicide. And her friends are mad at her for putting them through...what? I would have expected this from her mom, but her friends? I don't know. This whole thing seemed kinda contrived to me.

So Buffy makes up with her mom and her friends. The next episode, "Faith, Hope, and Trick", introduced Faith, a character that many people love and/or love to hate. She's a new slayer, the one who was called after Kendra's death. Faith is the polar opposite of Buffy. Not a lot is said about her childhood, but we get the impression that she came from a very disfunctional family. Her watcher has been killed, and a very dangerous vampire named Kakistos is after her. Her and Buffy are able to kill Kakistos, and they start to become friends. However, Faith's dark side starts to take over her, and she ends up allying herself with the Mayor of Sunnydale, who wants to take over the world by turning into a pure demon. I love the character of Faith, and I love what they do to her in future seasons of Buffy and Angel.

Angel is somehow brought back from Hell. How? We don't really know. It's hinted at that the First brought him back, but we never really find out for sure. That's kind of annoying. Angel and Buffy try to stay apart, but find it too hard to not be involved with each other. At the end of the season, Angel decides to leave Sunnydale and seek out his own spin-off show in LA. I think this was a wise move on the part of the writers, since Angel didn't really have all that much to do in this season. And his show was awesome.

There were a few things I didn't like about this season. First of all, the relationship between Cordelia and Xander ends when he cheats on her with Willow. And then Cordelia goes back to being a snotty brat like she was in season one. That kind of disarmed what they did to her in season two, starting to make her into a nicer person. Secondly, Principal Snyder. At the end of season 2, when he expells Buffy from school, they make it seem like he's working for the mayor. He knows that they are on a hellmouth, and it's hinted at that he knows Buffy is the slayer. However, in this season, it seems that he does not know anything about the mayor's plans. Thirdly, this season introduced the character Anya. I loathed this character. I will have more to say about her in upcoming reviews. There are a few instances here and there where you can see small mistakes the writers made. They are not huge, but you can see that this was leading to the crap we had to watch in seasons 4, 5, and 7.

Even with my minor complaints, this season is very good. There are excellent comedic episodes, such as "Homecoming", "Band Candy", "Lover's Walk", and "The Zeppo". There are also dark episodes, such as "The Wish", "Amends", "Bad Girls" and "Helpless." There are also some stupid episodes, like "Dead Man's Party" and "Gingerbread". The season finale, "Graduation Day", was excellent. My friends and I actually did something like that at our high school graduation. Only we used guns. Lots of guns. Overall, this season was very well-done, and a good followup to season two. I didn't like it as much as season 2, but it was still very entertaining.

(Buffy The Vampire Slayer - The Complete Third Season Slim Set)
『Product arrived as described on time and in great condition. We will purchase from this vendor again.』
『All 22 classic episodes are available for the first time in this exclusive 6-disc collectorÂ's edition. From Â"Faith, Hope&Trick,Â" Â"Band CandyÂ" and Â"Bad GirlsÂ" to Â"Consequences,Â" Â"EnemiesÂ" and Â"Graduation Day, Part Two,Â" these Season Three episodes are a must for every true Buffy fan.』
『The third season of Joss Whedon'sBuffy the Vampire Slayerwas marked by the arrival in Sunnydale of renegade slayer Faith (Eliza Dushku), a moody loner who seemed to like her demon-staking calling just a littletoomuch. While Buffy (Sarah Michelle Gellar) was always wary of Faith, the two developed a deep friendship and appreciative rapport--that is, until the evil mayor of Sunnydale (Harry Groener) tapped into Faith's dark side and lured her into his plot to take over the world, first as a double agent spying on Buffy, then as out-and-out nemesis. And as the mayor's ascension approached--which happened to fall on Sunnydale High's graduation day--Buffy and Faith's battles got nastier and nastier, as Buffy attempted to wrestle with her dark side (literally and figuratively), save the world and her friends, and keep her lover Angel (David Boreanaz) out of Faith's evil clutches.

Chock-full of exceptional episodes, this third season started out with a bang (the superb season opener "Anne," in which a runaway Buffy finally returns to her Slayer calling) and never let up. Among other highlights, the season introduced former vengeance demon and soon-to-be regular Anya (Emma Caulfield), fleshed out Angel's tortured character (and readied him for his own series), and featured a hilarious doppelganger Willow (Alyson Hannigan), a vampire from a parallel universe, who in Willow's own words was "evil and... skanky... and kinda gay!" (Total foreshadowing there, folks.) The season's pièce de résistance, though, was the two-parter "Graduation Day," wherein Faith tries to kill Angel, and the students of Sunnydale High prepare to do battle with a mutated mayor and his army of demons. Aside from the series' exceptional writing and acting, this compelling year ofBuffywas anchored by the consistently excellent Gellar, as well as Dushku's complicated Faith, a girl youtrulylove to hate. By the time you finish these episodes, Faith will have cast a spell on you that you'll find very hard to shake.--Mark Englehart

(A WONDERFUL OLD SCI FI MOVIE!!!)
『I was thrilled to get this movie, hadnt seen it since my teen age years and I loved it then. It is still as wonderful as I remember! The newer version is good, funny too, but this original one is still one of my favorite old sci fi movies.』

(The quintessential Sci-Fi movie from the 50's)
『I remember watching this as a kid when the horror-science fiction were all the rage from that period.

Great acting and special effects like when the sand would swirl and swallow up people.

I still love watching it to this day』

(Invaders from Mars)
『Invaders from Mars is a favorite of mine form when I was a child. Although the movie brought back fond memories, the copy is not in great condition. It appears that the transfer to DVD is fine, but the master has many flaws. I recommend the edition if for nothing else then the movie is fun and a classic example of 1950's science fiction.』

(Classic 50's Sci Fi)
『Classic movie from the 50's. I remember watching it as a kid on TV in black and white which may be better than color. The Martian leader carried around in a fishbowl always reminded me of the head of Edward G. Robinson surrounded by octopus-like tentacles. See for yourself!』

(OMG what a great movie!)
『I loved this movie as a kid and really enjoyed seeing it again. It scared the daylights out of me when I first saw it and I can now see the creepy mindgame that was going on with this little kid in the movie, with his parents and almost everyone he knows turning into strange evil people and the haunting music and long scary shots of places like the police station and people falling through holes in the ground. And that guy in the globe...Yikes!
What was really interesting is that they did an alternate ending for the British release, which is on this DVD. It would have been nice for the quality of the DVD to be a little better, but hey, it's in Color (that's how long it's been since I've seen it; I thought it was a black and white movie!) with no cuts and no commercials! Very fun...watch it with your kidz!』

『A young boy is awakened during a storm to witness a flying saucer land in the field behind his home. No one will believe his story as, one by one, the townspeople are captured and put under the control of sinister forces from the planet Mars! Brilliantly created by visionary set designer and director William Cameron Menzies (designer of "Gone with the Wind" and H.G. Wells' "Things to Come") with a haunting musical score by Raoul Kraushaar, this golden age sci-fi classic has lost none of its chilling power. Surreal imagery brought to terrifying life in a Cinecolor world just beyond our nightmares!』
『The cold-war paranoia of the McCarthy era had America in its grip when the originalInvaders from Marswas released in 1953, and this atmospheric, highly influential science fiction film--the first of its kind to be filmed in color--was perfectly in tune with the mood of its time. Jimmy Hunt plays the quintessential American boy of the post-war years--a freckle-faced kid named David who's curious, alert, and possibly prone to elaborate flights of fancy. Then, during a midnight thunderstorm, he witnesses the landing of a flying saucer that buries itself underground in a nearby field. David's father (Leif Erickson) indulges his son's urging to investigate... and thus begins a bizarre and chilling story of alien invasion, with David's cries of "Martians!" falling on deaf ears as more and more adults are abducted, probed, and placed under alien control.

Designed and directed by William Cameron Menzies (one of the greatest production designers of Hollywood's golden age, whose credits includeGone with the Wind), this eerie little thriller benefits from Menzies's skill at combining physical settings with psychological undercurrents of paranoid terror and resistance against the alien threat. It's still most effective for younger viewers, with Jimmy Hunt providing the story's youthful point of view. And although the malevolent aliens look campy now, with a leader who resembles a bubble-brained squid in a fishbowl,Invaders from Marsremains one of the seminal science fiction films of its time, paving the way forThe War of the Worldsand the rapidly developing trend of alien-invasion thrillers.--Jeff Shannon

(Hilarious)
『IF you are a fan of MST3K then you know the deal. If not, this DVD is a great example of what they did. What a shame this show ended. There is certainly no lack of bad movies to lampoon.』

(There is nothing funnier than Santa Claus conquers the Martians)
『It doesn't get any funnier than MST3K, and Santa Clause Conquers the Martians is just about the funniest, stupidest movie ever made.

In fact, the clue you need is right under Santa's feet!』

(MST3K FIRST YEAR INTRODUCTORY CLASS)
『These are two classic stinkers from the early years of the MST3K catalogue. I give it five stars of course, because its so BASIC for any fan of the show. If you have NEVER seen any Mystery Science theater on TV before, and sadly, this is true for more and more people, as the years since SCIFI channel removed their shows from saturday morning reruns, then this is a good taste of what you are in for. BEST BRAINS (the writers) know these are some of their best shows, so they used this inexpensive 2DVD set to rev up interest in their DVD products. In many ways, MANOS is so terrible, that the horrible quality of that film, might overwhelm the jokes being said about it. HOWEVER, if you really want a taste of the very WORST movie ever made, and therefore the favorite of the MST3K writers, you MUST buy MANOS. PLOT? Well, its almost like BLAIR WITCH in the lack of production quality, plot, etc. But compared to MANOS, the BLAIR WITCH PROJECT seems like Citizen Cane. These are GREAT episodes for SCIFI channel fans to discover JOEL ROBERTSON (who founded the show, and was the first astronaut on the SATERLITE OF LOVE). As for the other movie, SANTA CLAUS CONQUERS THE MARTIANS, it functions more like therapy for why you are afraid of Christmas movies. The basic SCIFI Xmas film, about Marian Kids (including Pia Ziadoa) who wish they could have SANTA CLAUS too. In order to make this 2DVD set more enticing, you get an extra called "BLOOPERS", a 20 minute compilation of bizarre outtakes and screw ups, that you used to have to buy directly from BEST BRAINS via mailorder, on VHS. Its funny, and a great inside look at the personalities that bring you the show. If you only know the SCIFI channel shows, then this 2DVD set, is a great way to find out how the COMEDY CENTRAL concept of the show worked. The inexpensive price, makes it an obvious first buy, incase you DONT like one of the two films that much.

However, a couple of cautions to the buyer, about the CONCEPT of MST3K. First off, this show started 20 years ago. The early JOEL years, were formed from the PUNK-NEW WAVE esthetic, which was very "Do It Yourself". Check out the set, which the COMEDIANS made themselves. The show still had its local, cable access FLAVOR to it, even tho it was produced by comedy central. The humor is COOL and very hip. But at times, dated, at least with its cultural references. Outside of the timeless irony, or tearing apart bad production values of the films, TONS of current (ie 1992) pop references, as well as very obscure pop references from the 60s or 70s, flood the show. The writers didnt shy away from making allusions to their city's culture, or other running jokes from the show, which might make the humor at times hard to get. If you are 18 years old, remember that these writers were born around 1960, so their cultural life was formed by TV shows, many of which were NEVER in syndication in your lifetime, or music you have NEVER heard of. In other words, one's AGE and CULTURAL awareness, is a HUGE factor in whether you will enjoy all the humor. However, its catching these quickly delivered, obscure jokes, that makes this show so well loved by the MSTies. (FANS) It's no secret that kids always loved this show too. The SKITS, and the invention exchanges, etc, deliver enough humor, that you wont feel culturally insulted if you DONT get some obscure jokes. However, If you are under 25 years old, consider that the SCIFI CHANNEL shows, are more likely to deliver more recent cultural references, which form the core of the "IN" humor. MST3K is so much more than "IN" humor, tho. You really NEED to love that BAD, CRAPPY part of our culture, in an ironic, snarky way. All the MST3k Shows skewer POP culture, like bad childrens programing that used to have a creapy guy who'd introduce the cheap Saturday night horror film, the local channels would show. Its also based on bad children's programming, the wierd puppet/robots, for example, which was also the jumping off point for PEE WEE HERMAN's gimick. IF you dont like that humor, or dont' have a certain LOVE for the garage punk qualities of cheap HOLLYWOOD films, then you might not enjoy any MST3k shows. In the end, its the MOVIES that provide the jumping off point for the humor, because the skits are based on the films, as are the cutting remarks from the ships "audience", and the way the robots, the MAD scientists, and JOEL interact. I have watched these two MST3K treatments OVER and OVER. Its always fresh and funny. I have noticed recently that HBO has shown the MST3k MOVIE almost every saturday night. If you enjoy the MST3K film (based on THIS ISLAND EARTH), you'd certainly get your entertainment dollar with this set. Get ready for MOVIE SIGN!!!!!!』

(Manos Shows Joel At His Best)
『Manos is every bit as bad as you've heard, but the comedy is so good. Santa is fun ride through the wackiness of space.

I have long been in the Mike Nelson camp of Msties and still keep my feet firmly planted therein. But finally watching Manos, The Hands of Fate made me change my opinion of Joel from "boring, sleepy-eyed creator who should have never hosted" to "sorta funny, sleepy-eyed creator, who should only host after drinking a Red Bull".

Manos is so poorly shot and the "why not" catfights so numerous that I was already laughing at the awkward pauses and confusing wardrobe even before the riffing began. Almost every minute of dialogue is covered by constant riffs(which is just the way I like it) and the Torgo impressions are never a let down. The Pizza Delivery scene with Mike as Torgo had me on the floor-good times!

Santa Claus Conquers the Martians is just a goofy movie and the riffing is sufficient, but I feel like a later Sci-Fi Channel Mike episode would have been more appropriate so as to provide "The Essentials" of of both eras of the show.

Manos is available as a single disc, so I would suggest just picking that up on its own, unless you are a completist.』

(Really not the best of MST)
『I paid for this one based on my love of the show but this one really isn't their best- by far. Not as many jokes as the show usually had&the jokes that are there just aren't that funny. Even the movies aren't that entertaining (cheesewise I mean). There are better episodes you can purchase out here. I'd go with just about any of them before this one. Still love the show, but in this case they really missed the mark on funny.』
『Join Joel and his "robot friends" as they're forced to endure two of the worst movies ever made. To maintain their sanity, they hilariously skewer the films' performaces, special effects and dialogue.』

(Cheerleaders and zombies)
『Night of the Comet is a great piece of 80's sci-fi noir. How can you go wrong with "Mags" from The Last Starfighter and the cheerleader from Fast Times at Ridgemount High toting machine guns and fighting zombies? There's enough of a plot and a dose of suspense to keep you interested, while the gags and subtle, well placed jokes remind you that there's a tongue in cheek thing going on here. By the way, Spielberg probably ripped off the whole bodies turning to dust and leaving behind the clothes idea, used in this movie, in his version of War of the Worlds. (Not knocking Steven, those effects were killer.) This movie has been hard to find, glad it was finally released on DVD.』

(Night of the Comet DVD)
『I've always liked this movie and having Catherine Mary Stewart in it really doesn't hurt at all. It's a very fun sci-fi ish B movie that's entertaining.』

(You Gotta Luv It)
『It's Hokey&Badly Acted for the most part but it screams Bad Old Science Fiction Horror from the 50's and anyone that's seen those films, knows what I mean.
I really Enjoyed it.』

(Greatest Movie Ever Made???)
『Could this be the greatest movie ever made about zombies? I think so! Also the ladies in this film will rock your world! They excel in the plot of this film... very believable... also very attractive! :) Make you wonder if you should look up or be outside during the wonderful astrological events!』

(Totally Awesome Survival Horror Sci-Fi Flick!)
『An L.A. cheerleader and her tough but sexy movie theater usher big-sister think they may be the last survivors on Earth after the comet that devastated the dinosaurs makes its return fly-by. It seems that most everyone turned out to witness the comet, and those unlucky folks were reduced to a pile of red dust. Those who stayed indoors are now dangerous, zombie-like creatures decomposing at a slower rate. But, those few that were, by chance or design, protected by walls of steel, like our two heroines, have inherited the burden of the future of civilization. It isn't all that long before they find one more survivor, young truck driver Hector, but everyone else they encounter seems to be highly hazardous to their health, including a group of rowdy boys at the mall led by a guy who seems to have inspired Mark Hamill's take on the Joker!

Starring The Last Starfighter's Catherine Mary Stewart as the gun and videogame loving theater usher Regina and Fast Times at Ridgemont High's Kelli Maroney as her cheerleading Valley-girl little sister, Samantha, "Night of the Comet" is a survival horror/sci-fi spoof from 1984 that is sure to be an instant favorite for any fans of the genre. Don't get the wrong idea though. While there is humor, this film plays out as a serious story, much like 2004's wonderful Shaun of the Dead. And to my fellow Romero fans, don't get the idea this is pure zombie horror. The zombie-like creatures here are important, but we don't see hordes of them or anything like that. More important and frequent threats in Night of the Comet are those folks who are turning. There are some good scares, by the way, though they are few enough that one should go into this more for the post-apocalyptic adventure theme than anything else. Primarily, this movie is just loads of fun by having just the right amount of everything it serves up! The cast is great, and the stars are definitely the two leading ladies. Neither is my dreamgirl type, but between Catherine Mary Stewart's Emma Watson-lookalike head and Kelli Maroney's fantastic body, you've got enough to keep me watching with a smile on my face. Robert Beltran is the male hero of the film as Hector of the barrio (you'll get that one after seeing the film), and one simply must mention the great Geoffrey Lewis as the leader of a group of government scientists with nefarious plans for our beloved girls and Mary Woronov as the one scientist keeping control. Incidentally, also check out Mary in the hilarious and underrated "Looney Tunes: Back in Action" opposite Steve Martin at his best!

My sincere thanks to the presumably underappreciated writer and director of "Night of the Comet", Thom Eberhardt, for providing one of the most enjoyable films ever. If you're interested in "Night of the Comet", I recommend picking it up right away, before it gets any harder to find! This film is a must for your home DVD library! Sadly, it's totally barebones, but the film alone, thankfully presented in widescreen, is more than worthy of the currently, usually very affordable price!』

『A comet wipes out most of life on Earth leaving two Valley Girls to fight the evil types who survive. Two pretty high school girls (one a cheerleader!) don't like their mother or her new boyfriend ("Daddy would have gotten us Uzis!"). One morning they wake up to find that everybody in Los Angeles has been turned to dust by a Comet except them a guy who looks like Erik Estrada some zombies and the occupants of a secret underground government installation.System Requirements:Run Time: 95 minutesFormat: DVD MOVIE Genre: SCI-FI/FANTASY Rating: PG - 13 UPC: 027616067760 Manufacturer No: M106776』
『A sleeper at the time of its release in 1984, Thom Eberhardt'sNight of the Comethas built a small cadre of fans thanks to its breezy performances and blend of comedy and tongue-in-cheek science fiction. Catherine Mary Stewart and Kelli Maroney are thoroughly likable as a pair of San Fernando Valley sisters who find themselves completely alone after the arrival of Halley's Comet reduces their affluent community--and most of Los Angeles--to dust. Their subsequent nonstop shopping spree is soon interrupted by predatory zombies, as well as a sinister scientific cabal (led by cult favorites Mary Woronov and Geoffrey Lewis) with designs on the girls. Stewart and Maroney are terrifically game as the heroines (especially Maroney, whose flair for bubbly comedy was never given another chance on screen), and Robert (Star Trek: Voyager) Beltran is also on hand as a fellow survivor and romantic lead. Fun for '80s enthusiasts and sci-fi fiends who don't mind a little fizz in their end-of-the-world scenarios.-- Paul Gaita

(Ignore all of the bad reviews...)
『about this movie. Those people are obviously uptight with no sense of humor. This movie is fun and ridiculous but creepy at the same time. It's a great low budget film and is a cult classic. It deserves 5 stars. In no other movie will you find clowns uglier and scarier than in this movie.』

(Total 80s!)
『Yep. Hard to tell if it is serious or what. Closer to the serious part. Because the clowns are kind of eerie. Brings back memories of girls with big hair!!!』

(Excellent service!)
『Product was shipped quickly and came in perfect condition! I have no complaints at all. This was for a present and my friend was so happy I was able to find this old fun movie!』

(The best hoax ever?)
『Basically, lots of folks started talking about how honest to God awful this movie is, and how they were going to troll everyone before trolling was invented by saying it is the best scary movie ever.

It's fairly epic that most of the reviews place this movie as a 4+ star ride of awesome, but honestly, it isn't, every single good review managed to think this movie is great because they were tricked by someone else.

The power of suggestion over human minds is pretty powerful, as I myself have partaken in this joke, and this is the only place you'll find a review by me that's honest in relation to how terrible this movie is, from the effects to the acting to the actual plot.

A grade A stinker that nobody should watch, but everyone should tell someone else to see it for it's 5 stars of greatness!』

(Welcome to the most bizarre circus in town)
『Released in 1988 Killer Klowns from Outer Space gives you a 50's style drive in quality that nothing can match. It is simply one of the most bizarre films (in a good way) I have seen in my history of film watching. It's one of those movies that's best seen after midnight on tv during those countless hours of strange programming. Thanks to some stellar b writing by Charles&Edward Chiodo we have been given one of horror/sci-fi's best b efforts to date.

We start off when a group of aliens, that resemble earth's version of clowns, land in the town of Crescent Cove. Once they have landed in the middle of the woods the ship takes the form of a circus tent. Our main characters Mike and Debbie are out on a date and stumble across the hidden tent. Since they think it's strange that a circus is held in the middle of nowhere they decide to check it out. While they're poking around they run into our giant headed clown friends that shoot at them with a popcorn bazooka, barely escaping.

Once back into town they go to the police with their strange discovery but kid hating Sgt. Mooney thinks they're on drugs pulling some prank. Shortly after the clowns make their way through Crescent Cove and begin capturing the townspeople turning them into cotton candy cocoons. Once it becomes known something's wrong Mike and friends take action by going back to the tent for a final showdown with the aliens. Unfortunately they have to face a hidden giant clown, but manage to get out alive.

Killer Klowns from Outer Space has everything I look for in a campy b movie. It really is one of the essentials sitting high on my list of films in the category of "so bad it's good." I couldn't imagine someone watching this and not getting a kick out of it. Just by looking at it you'd have to know to expect nothing more then a over the top horror-comedy. I 100% recommend this one to the fans in the world of b. Odds are you've seen it already, but if not then check it out as soon as possible.

『Finally the truth about clowns is out! Beneath their smirky sinister grins and wildly patterned clothes are clever killers from out of this world. The "juxtaposition of their toy-store arsenal and malevolent intent proves to be a tasty combination" (Los Angeles Times) in this killer entertainment that will leave you fearing these big-top creatures for good. A spaceshiplooking like a circus tentlands in a field near a small town, signaling the attack of deviant, red-nosed, balloon-twisting psychos from another world who plan to annihilate mankindby turning people into cotton candy! Luckily, the town's teen citizenry decides to fight back and teach the cosmic bozos a lesson. But these klowns are no klutzes, turning popcorn, peanuts and caramel corn into playfulbut deadlyweapons of madcap destruction and mayhem!』
『What's completely and utterly baffling aboutKiller Klownsis not the plot--that's rather tidily summed up by the title--but the fact that it got made at all. According to the filmmakers, (the Chiodo brothers: Charles, Edward, and Stephen) all it took to convince the studio was a one-page treatment and a picture of a clown holding a gun. It boggles the mind. Anyway, some killer Klowns descend from outer space and start wrapping their hapless victims in cotton candy for later consumption. Debbie and Mike suspect something's amiss, but who will believe them? The movie's greatest asset is its willingness to play on the inherent creepiness of clowns. The Klowns are grotesque parodies of their big-top cousins, hiding hideous malformed teeth behind terrifying circus makeup. It's impossible to tell ifKiller Klownsis truly meant to be scary, but it is compelling in its thoroughness: popcorn, balloon animals, and really big shoes are all used to their fullest effect. The only cast member you'll recognize immediately is veteran character actor John Vernon as Officer Mooney, but keep an eye out for Christopher Titus in a small role as Bob McReed. Then just sit back and stare open-mouthed in bewildered joy.--Ali Davis

(Put down the silver bullets because the only way to stop a werewolf is uncle Gary Buesy)
『Of one the most intense creatures in the horror world has to be the werewolf. What could be worse then having a huge, fast, blood thirsty man beast hunting you down? On top of there size and other beastly features they can sniff you out no matter where you try to hide. That's certainly enough reason to fear the wolfman also making him a must during Sid's personal horror film festival (this being the 10th on the season). Now there's a lot out there in the wolf department but when given the option to see a young Corey Haim team up with Gary Busey there really was no other choice as far as we're concerned.

Silver Bullet takes place in the small town of Tarker's Mill that seems to have nothing interesting going on. Marty Coslaw (Corey Haim) is a young handicapped kid who lives at home with his parents and sister and is viewed as helpless. We'd have to suspect his experience from playing a paraplegic here helped him very much today when he pretends to be a crippled war vet begging for change outside a local diner. Anyway, a lot of extreme murders begin to take place putting the towns folk in fear. As they hunt for the killer it is soon discovered by Marty that a werewolf is doing the murders. So naturally his first option is to enlist the help of his drunk uncle Red (Busey). With a team compiled of a handicapped kid, his sister, and wasted uncle Busey how can you go wrong?

Despite the jokes Silver Bullet was a killer flick packed with some great wolf action and laughs. Unlike most, this one doesn't waste anytime with the wolf as we see a decapitation within the first 3 mins! That right there is something revered by Sid in any film. Not only was the werewolf kick a** but Gary Busey is so entertaining to watch. Especially when he builds his nephew a motorcycle wheel chair to tear around town in. Sure came in handy when he had to run from the werewolf. This one is a great choice for any fan of the genre especially if you want to see a still somewhat sane Busey on screen. Even have to give it to Haim to was really good too. Unfortunately seems he shot all his talent away early on leaving him too bad to even get cast in a horrible B. Due to the great enjoyment this one get's close with the Drive-In Totals:

2 Decapitations

1 preacher moonlighting as a werewolf

7 shotgun bearing drunk werewolf hunting rednecks, 1 getting caught in bear trap

Illegal fireworks smuggled by drunk Uncle Gary Busey

4.5 bottles of Wild Turkey downed

hand crafted motorcycle wheelchair

3 fantastic werewolf murders within the first half hour

and a body count total of 9』

(Silver Bullet)
『I grew up with this movie, with Corey Haim and uncle Red. Makes me all fuzzy inside and still scary. Good movie and fast delivery.』

(Wonderful King Adaptation)
『Silver Bullet (1985) is a very good movie. The acting is top-notch. Corey Haim is very sincere and gives a great performance as Marty, the wheelchair-ridden, yet exuberant main character. Megan Follows gives a strong, believable job as Jane, Marty's stressed and responsiblity-pounded sister. Gary Busey, once againm, is extremely likeable as the kids' hard-drinking uncle who spoils Marty. Everett McGill is great as the town reverand, who is the werewolf. He does a good job making you think that he actually believes that he is saving people's souls from hell and doesn't want to be a werewolf. The werewolf effects are a little cheezy, but this is countered by keeping the werewolf in the shadows. The music comes on as a little sappy at a few points, but all around it is effective. With good suspense and good pacing, Silver Bullet is a win.』

(One of the Best Werewolf Movies Ever!)
『I'm a bit biased since I have been a fan of this movie for so many years, but I truly believe that this is one of the best werewolf movies ever! It never gets old and has a lot of memorable scenes. I am not a fan of Gary Busey, but I really do like him as Uncle Red. That Silver Bullet wheelchair motorcycle is awesome! Do you need a license to drive that? lol. Anyway, this is a highly recommended movie. After all, it is based on a story by Stephen King!』
『A boy in a wheelchair stops a werewolf with his uncle and sister. From a stephen king story. Studio: Paramount Home Video Release Date: 08/22/2006 Starring: Gary Busey Megan Follows Run time: 95 minutes Rating: R Director: Daniel Attias』
『Corey Haim (back when he was still cute) and his souped-up hot-rod of a wheelchair are all that stand between a sleepy little New England town and a ferocious full-moon killer in Stephen King's adaptation of his novellaCycle of the Werewolf. This minor entry into the werewolf canon lacks the scares and sense of humor of superior hirsute thrillersThe HowlingandAn American Werewolf in London, but pays off in some nice casting touches. Gary Busey is loyal to the end as Haim's beer-guzzling Uncle Red,Twin Peaks's Everett McGill cuts an unsettling figure as the town minister, and fleshy B-movie icon Lawrence Tierney (Reservoir Dogs) is the gruff bartender who breaks up bar fights with a baseball bat called "The Peacemaker." The monstrous wolf beast, a towering mountain of fangs and fur, is the creation of Carlo Rambaldi (E.T.).--Sean Axmaker
