(MOONLIGHT, THE COMPLETE SERIES)
『THE PRODUCT WAS BRAND NEW AND IN GREAT SHAPE.

THE SHIPPER WAS FAST AND THE PACKAGE WAS IN PRISTINE CONDITION WHEN IT ARRIVED.』

(Moonlight)
『A friend of mine told me about this show. I have no clue where I was when this show first came out but man o man, I got hooked. It is a shame that it was not picked up for a second season or more. I have seen movies that were not worthly of being made but somehow they were. Then along comes a TV show such as Moonlight, with wonderful characters, solid story line, a large fan base and they cancel it. It makes absolutely no sense. Anyway I bought the series after having seen just two episodes. I am glad that I ordered it. I know I will enjoy it for years to come. A Fan Forever.』

(Delightful!)
『I came across "Moonlight" a year after it ended. I purchased the entire season from Amazon based solely on the reviews. Of course being a long time vampire fan- from the Christopher Lee's Dracula movies to the Ann Rice's Vampire Chronicles and even the latest True Blood series- how could I resist? Although after so much had already been said on the subject, I did not think Moonlight would bring anything new to the table.

I must say, I was immediately captivated by the well-written, well crafted plot, the well developed characters and the oh! so seductive vampire hero. In Moonlight, vampires do not burst into flames with day light. They don't swiftly disappear in dark and threatening tombs where no one would dare follow them. They hide their eyes behind dark sunglasses, dress to kill, drink their choice of A+, B+ or 0- blood in crystal stem wares and live in elegant homes. They befriend humans, fall in love, make sacrifices and have principles.

As I advanced through the episodes, knowing that there had only been one season, I found myself slowing down my pace to make the experience last longer, at times fantasizing that these princes of darkness would truly haunt our world!!! I read that Moonlight won the people's choice award for 2008. What better way to tell the network what the audience wanted to see? I guess, in the end, it did not matter. Who makes these decisions I wonder?

I have already watched Moonlight twice and I am sure I will go back to it time and time again. I highly recommend the series to any vampire fan and I can promise you: never have fangs looked so sexy!!!』

(Moonligh)
『I loved Moonlight both the series and the actors in it. Best show on TV until it was canceled.』

(So sad...)
『Like C.R. Jackson, who posted below, I just found Moonlight this past week when Chiller was running a marathon - and was also completely hooked. Love the story lines, the detective aspect, and the way that vampire 'quirks' are tweaked to allow the characters to interact with humans while still addressing traditional vampire 'lore'.

I particularly loved the chemistry&interaction between the two main characters, Mick&Beth. The actors are obviously very comfortable with one another, as their exchanges have the ring of real conversations, not acting. The unrequited love is very poignant. I haven't seen all the episodes yet - can't even figure out when Chiller will be broadcasting more after this week - but knew I had to have the whole series.

Like Jackson, it also doesn't surprise me that CBS&Ms. Tassler would cancel this show - I was also a big Jericho follower, need I say more? From my experiences with that group, I know that, after this long a time, the show won't be coming back, but it would certainly be very timely for a movie with these characters! The only consolation is that, given the current popularity of all things vampire, you gotta know she goes to bed at night kicking herself for cancelling this show! Now, if someone would just kick her....
Moonlight - The Complete Series』

『Any private eye knows a lot about other people's secrets. L.A. private eye Mick St. John (Alex O'Loughlin) has a secret of his own. He’s a vampire, dwelling in a covert netherworld complicated by friendship with an undead finance honcho (Jason Dohring), memories of the alluring ex- wife (Shannyn Sossamon) who turned him into a vampire, and a relationship with a human (Sophia Myles) he feels drawn to protect – and maybe to love. But no matter how tempting, Mick knows a vampire-human romance is eternally dangerous. This 16-episode, 4-disc set of the series voted the 2008 People's Choice Award for Favorite New TV Drama is a sure entertainment bet for all who like their vampire stories sleek, intense and passionate.』
『A thoroughly entertaining series that lasted just one season,Moonlighttells the story of a sexy vampire who wants to do good. (Think along the lines of Angel from the Joss Whedon series of the same name.) Mick (Alex O'Loughlin,August Rush) became a vampire in the 1950s when his beautiful vamp bride Coraline (Shannyn Sossamon,A Knight's Tale) created his new incarnation. Shunning that lifestyle and turning against his wife when she attempts to add a little girl to their family, Mick creates a new identity for himself as a private detective. The job has its perks. Mick, who normally shuns fresh human blood, doesn't feel as badly partaking from the fluids of a criminal. Though Coraline would actually make a more intriguing ongoing love interest for Mick, he falls in love with Beth (Sophia Myles,Underworld). The two have a history together, too, though Beth doesn't remember it right away (Mick saved her from Coraline some 20 years ago); now, they're working together. O'Loughin and Myles make a handsome couple, but they don't share the type of chemistry that makes his scenes with Sossamon so intoxicating.Moonlightoriginally aired on CBS during the 2007-2008 television season. The season was truncated to just 16 episodes due to the Writers Guild Strike. Because of that, the series at times feels unresolved--especially in the finale. ButMoonlightis well-crafted and has beautiful production value. Mick at times utters groaners like,“Being a vampire sucks,” but the Aussie actor makes it work. The series in some ways is debating the age-old question of whether eternal life is a blessing or a curse. The answer depends on who--or what--you are.--Jae-Ha Kim

(Not in 3D as advertised when I ordered)
『I oredered this BluRay when it was advertised as The Final Destination in 3D but when it arrived it was only a @D version and Amazon said there was nothing they could do about recieving the wrong product as the copies they now have are only 2D. After my complaint Amazon changed the Advertised BluRay with the note underneath that early copies were in 3D but now they only stock 2D. Well Amazon you should advertise what your selling not advertise a 3D version and send a 2D version. After many years of using Amazon that is a poor excuse why they sent the wrong version. Stop False advertising Amazon.

(The Final Destination? God I hope!)
『I am so glad I only spent one dollar at REDBOX to rent this crap. It has nothing to do with the characters of the previous films, and making it 3D is some marketing ploy to sell this total trash. Ridiculous "freak" accidents that made me laugh out loud! Gee so many places of business in this movie that are so dangerous and accident-prone. Maybe OSHA should be called? If you watch this, then I suggest just to fast forward to all the accidents. Better yet just rent it for $1 at REDBOX. Too bad I can't get my dollar back.』

(The Final Destination)
『If you like the Final Destination series then this will be right up your alley. I found it to be entertaining but some stuff a little far fetched, but its a movie its suppose to be. I recommend it for a horror flick.』

(Not what I expected.)
『for my review, I think that it could have been maybe a little better than the other. . and the 3-D just too good.』

(Bloody and Gory and Messy...)
『When you prepare yourself to watch "The Final Destination," popping popcorn and pouring your soft drink, you should also prepare for one other thing: predictability. This movie is formulaic, the script isn't very good, and the gore is elevated to extremely high levels. I can honestly say that I found myself laughing at both the dialogue and insane amounts of gore (you have to see certain scenes to believe them, and even then they don't make much sense). This is a fun movie, but not an Oscar-worthy one.

If you want over the top bloody, gory fun, then this movie is fine. Don't expect the script to be anything but messy, and don't expect spectacular cinematography. It looks great on Blu-ray (but the 3-D scenes obviously don't have the same type of impact that they would have in theaters).

Overall, an interesting part of the series, but it could use a serious overhaul to prevent it from being another "Saw."』

『AFTER A TEEN'S PREMONITION OF A DEADLY RACE-CAR CRASH HELPS SAVES THE LIVES OF HIS PEERS, DEATH SETS OUT TO COLLECT THOSE WHO EVADED THEIR END.』
『Installment #4 in the premonition-ladenFinal Destinationseries comes on like a poker-faced send-up of the previous episodes, featuring a collection of hilariously over-the-top deaths and the usual array of Rube Goldberg set-ups--except this time the chain reactions rarely result in mayhem. Fate, it seems, is more random than that. We open at a racetrack, where vapid teen Bobby Campo has a vision of slaughter involving cars crashing and bleachers crumbling. When he hustles girlfriend Shantal VanSanten and their friends out of the grandstands before the real conflagration, it doesn't take long to figure out that their time is going to come, and soon. (Which they would have known if they'd watched the first threeFinal Destinationmovies.) From there, it's just waiting around for the killings, which this time utilize a car wash, a beauty parlor, and a tow truck run amok. Perhaps the gruesomeness of the deaths this time is explained by the cheapjack production (gotta grab 'em with something) and surely the many jabbing, jutting implements are there because the film was released to some theaters in 3-D. As for the death that occurs in a swimming-pool drain, it seems somebody read Chuck Palahniuk's notorious story "Guts," or at least had an ear for urban legends. The bland characters and tin-ear dialogue don't help anything, even if the climactic sequence in a movie theater showing a 3-D film suggests a lurking sense of self-awareness. Moral: there may be three dimensions, but there's only one destination.--Robert Horton

(Great Series)
『I have read all of Charlaine Harris's books (post True Blood viewing) and have enjoyed them as well, but the series ROCKS! They are two different animals. The first season followed the books fairly well, the second vascilates a bit and I think the 3rd will depart completely...but thats OK! It has everything you need, great quirky characters, sexy leading males, humor, complicated supernaturals....the list goes on. I personally think Anna Paquin is a miscast, but she has grown on me throughout the last 2 seasons. I love this series!』

(Addictive show)
『This show is one of the best I have seen. It is intense and original. I would recommend this to anyone who loves True Blood!!! However, everyone should watch the first season before watching the second.』

(Super buy)
『I love True Blood and this was cheap and perfect condition when I got it. If you are debating the buy, go for it!』

("I am vampire...yes!")
『I thought the first season of "True Blood" was laughably bad, and Season Two is as well, but I must admit, I'm hooked. This season introduces some new characters with new supernatural powers, and although much of the plot is way out there and kind of ridiculous, I enjoyed it immensely. By far, my favorite scene this season is when Bill goes shopping at Forever 21, but there are definitely many hilarious moments to choose from. Despite Eric's bad haircut, Bill's aversion to using contractions, and Sookie's annoying gap-toothed smirk, there's still a lot of great things about this show. For me, a lot of my amusement revolves around the bad acting (the chick who plays the vampire queen is hands-down the worst actress that has ever appeared on an HBO program). However, any time Jason Stackhouse appears on screen, you are guaranteed to laugh your head off. I am looking forward to what's in store for the citizens in Bon Temps when Season Three begins.』

(A show you can really sink your teeth into...)
『True Blood is a supernatural world suppressed in the charming (and not-so-charming) south. As vampires "come out" to the human world, new relationships form, new sides square off, and new passions arise. One can't help but fall in love with the flawed and charming characters, and the storylines are so intricately delicious that you'll be left craving more.』
『Welcome back to Bon Temps, home to mystery, Southern sensuality and dark secrets. For Sookie Stackhouse, life is more dangerous than ever after she and Bill become more deeply involved. Meanwhile, Tara finds herself under a lover’s spell; Sam puts his trust in an unlikely ally; Jason becomes involved with an anti-vampire sect; Eric becomes interested in Sookie after he recruits her to investigate the disappearance of his 2,000-year-old maker; and Maryann is revealed to possess a power that can control almost everyone in town. Then, after making a shocking discovery, Sookie, Bill and Sam must form the last line of defense against a diabolical plan that raises this award-winning series to bloody new heights.

True Blood: The Complete Second Seasonincludes all 12 episodes of this critically acclaimed series from Alan Ball, writer of the Academy Award®-winning Best PictureAmerican Beautyand creator ofSix Feet Under. Loaded with special features, this essential 5-disc set is certain to quench the curiosity ofTrue Bloodfans everywhere.』

(FOX underestimates Megan's Body)
『While FOX promotes all the other movies on its roster, the movie at the bottom of their agenda, may have been the one that should have been at the top. Don't get me wrong, it was a bad year for FOX, but JENNIFER'S BODY, while it may not be intellecual or have top known actors in it, it is, for all intensive purposes, sheer fun and constantly interesting.

Dismally promoted, JENNIFER'S BODY was shrugged off by its studio as a disappointment, but in the end, JENNIFER'S BODY will probably be one of the movies where, in a few years, or a few months, people will still be watching it. People will still have to get it off the shelf and check it out again and again, because its fun. It isn't all that scary, although it has some scary stuff in it. It's more along the line of 80s movies like NIGHT OF THE CREEPS. It's fun. It's eye candy. It's plain and simple, entertaining.

Amanda Seyfried and Megan Fox are two of the hottest actresses in hollywood right now, and I don't mean HOT as in HAAATTT! I mean HOT as in, getting jobs and getting good jobs and continuing to deliver time after time. Especially Seyfried who is fast becoming one of my favorite actresses. She preys on the audiences natural reaction to find her adorable and cute and then does things either sexy or shocking and it works in JENNIFER'S BODY like a charm. She plays Needy, a nerdy girl who everybody thinks is a lesbo, except for her, who watches the world around her, including her friend Jennifer, become stranger and stranger as dead bodies keep popping up. Is she crazy? or is she just a gulible friend?

JENNIFER'S BODY has everything it needs and more to be a movie that will stand the test of time, despite the poor promotion it received from its studio. Unlike most movies that are forgotten as soon as the credits hit, BODY is a repeat viewer and a fun trip with two actresses who will be around for a long long time.』

(Average Story)
『Overall, I enjoyed this movie. The story and cinema photography were good...but, the acting was a little weak. Looking back I should have rented it instead of purchasing it.』

(Needy's Movie)
『You might think, judging from the commercials, that Jennifer's Body is about some high school queen bee that uses her unholy popularity to cut a bloody swath through cliques and clichés of all types. Alternately, you might think it's basically soft-core porn featuring Megan Fox. None of these marketing approaches served Jennifer's Body well. Please note: this review contains spoilers!

Diablo Cody, who earned a reputation for smart dialogue from Juno, isn't interested in writing a horror flick. She wants to delve into the issues of friendship and sexual maturity, as viewed through the lens of demonic possession.

Right, about that. In a fashion similar to Ginger Snaps (which combined lycanthropy with puberty), Jennifer (Megan Fox) is now the sexiest girl in high school. Her best friend, helpfully identified as "Needy" (Amanda Seyfried), has nothing in common with her. In a twist on the old trope, it's Needy who has the boyfriend (Chip, played by Johnny Simmons).

The two end up at a dive bar for an emo band, Low Shoulder. Low Shoulder is actually a band of amateur cultists who believe, on the strength of Jennifer's transparent lie, that the hot chick oozing sexuality is in fact a virgin. This leads to a hilarious misunderstanding with hell, in which Jennifer is sacrificed only to return from the dead as a succubus.

Jennifer's Body waffles between horror tropes of stupidity - the band believing Jennifer's lie; Jennifer's ability to get away with murder; victims doing really dumb things - and mood-killing reality checks. The murders are drawn out over time, such that the high school deals with them in a realistic way reminiscent of other real-life high school tragedies. Midnight vigils are held, jocks cry, and camera crews roll tape.

Although Jennifer's Body is supposed to be about its namesake, we get precious little insight into Jennifer's thoughts. The film is actually about Needy, who is a typical "Final Girl" of horror movies. Like the legions of Final Girls that have gone before her, Needy is psychically connected to Jennifer in a way that's never explained. This movie is much more about Needy, her boyfriend, her "nerdy" persona that's never convincingly portrayed, and her awkward relationship with Jennifer. Jennifer's Body tries hard to imply there's some chemistry between the two of them, but it just doesn't click. Jennifer comes off as uniformly one-dimensional and Needy as a disconnected cipher.

The pacing in this film is incredibly jarring; at various points, Jennifer just jumps out the window and exits a scene. The movie starts to feel more like a series of vignettes than an actual plot. Cody uses the Lovecraftian technique of "I was there!" that is no longer in favor because it saps a film's momentum.

The ending, such as it is, is something of a foregone conclusion - we know that Needy is committed to an insane asylum because as narrator she tells us in the beginning of the film. But don't worry, Jennifer's condition is some kind of super-virus (you can "get succubus" on you, apparently), which destroys any pathos around Jennifer's transformation and turns our Final Girl into a superhero who can fly. That's right, fly.

Still, Jennifer's Body isn't terrible. Slickly produced, with competent special effects, the movie tries hard to be both sexy and cool. All the navel gazing around why it "failed" is unwarranted; Jennifer's Body made back twice what it cost to produce. It's just that Jennifer's Body, despite using lots of "hip" dialogue, wants you to like it so much that it throws everything at you: a contrived horror plot, prolonged seduction scenes, a lesbian kiss, and a superhero revenge sequence. In the era of the Internet, that's not enough to make a great horror film anymore. It could just have been easily called Needy's Movie.

(Eclectic, but nothing memorable (much).)
『This is my first experience in the Jennifer's Body universe. I'm waiting for Jennifer's Body to arrive from Amazon, and will be getting the Blu-Ray from the UK because the idiots at Fox think it's financially viable to region-lock their Blu-Ray discs.

The soundtrack is something you wouldn't associate with something that claims it resembles a horror film. It has echoes of the songs Juno had, but, dare I say it, more "hardcore". Yeah, that seems right - "Hardcore Juno".

Not hardcore with thrashing heads and heavy metal, hardcore as in more heavy than the music on Juno's fifty-billion editions of the soundtrack.

A few songs stand out: obviously, Panic! At The Disco's "New Perspective" is catchy a short and sweet for those who like Panic! (like me), "Kiss With A Fist" by Florence and the Machine is worth a few listens, but is nothing ground-breaking. Little Boots' "New In Town" is catchy and up-beat, and fits with what I've seen with the film perfectly. Cobra Starship's "Chew Me Up and Spit Me Out" is funky and dancey, and a pleasant listening experience. Probably by favourite song is "Toxic Valentine" by a band I've never heard of: All Time Low. Don't ask me why, I guess it just sounds awesome. I'll probably check their records out sooner or later.

The range of styles on here, there should be at least one song to please anyone that listens to this. Three stars.』

(Just Plain Fun!)
『To Keep it simple, I loved this Movie, it was definitly not the worst film in history but it won't get an acadamey award either. I'm a sucker for hot Chicks being all evil and looking hot doing it, (And I'm Gay, but i guess that makes sense!). Anyway i would recommend this to anyone that likes Horror Teen flicks....Like my title says, Just Plain Fun.
And!!!! The Soundtrack is okay, I wished that the producers or whoever had worked a bit more on that part, i think a great soundtrack can help the most mediocare of films, thats why i gave this 4 stars! Still i walked away loving "Jennifers Body".』

『Sexy temptress Megan Fox is hotter than hell as Jennifer, a gorgeous, seductive cheerleader who takes evil to a whole new level after she’s possessed by a sinister demon. Steamy action and gore galore ensue as the male student body succumbs to Jennifer's insatiable appetite for human flesh. Now it’s up to her best friend (Amanda Seyfried) to stop Jennifer's reign of terror before it's too late!

(Sookie...Sookie Stackhouse!)
『I was initially turned on to True Blood while visiting friends in Chicago, and I must say I loooooooooooooooooooooooooooove this show as well as the books, I have watched the first season and I'm waiting for the second season on DVD. 『This Series is awesome! If you like the Sookie Stackhouse books, you will love this HBO Series.』

(Excellent)
『Love this show!! I ordered this set and recieved it within 5 days. The service I have gotten with Amazon has always been great, would recommend them anytime. I have pre-ordered the second season, and can't wait to get it!!』

(great!!)
『I got this as a Christmas present for my husband not only did it come early but he loved it and stayed up all night watching the entire season now we cant wait for the second season!!!!』

(Bonnie)
『Love this series....I'm hooked and am glad I own the first season. Very good series definitely worth buying let alone watching, which I have more than once.』
『TRUE BLOOD chronicles the backwoods Louisiana town of Bon Temps... where vampires have emerged from the coffin, and no longer need humans for their fix. Sookie Stackhouse (Anna Paquin, Academy Award®-winner for “The Piano”) works as a waitress at the rural bar Merlotte's. Though outwardly a typical young woman, she keeps a dangerous secret: she has the ability to hear the thoughts of others. Her situation is further complicated when the bar gets its first vampire patron - 173-year old Bill Compton (Steven Moyer, "Quills") - and the two outsiders are immediately drawn to each other. Delivering the best of what audiences have come to expect from Creator and Executive Producer Alan Ball (writer of Oscar®-winning Best Picture "American Beauty", creator of the Emmy® Award-winning HBO®series “Six Feet Under"), TRUE BLOOD is a dark and sexy tale that boldly delves into the heart - and the neck - of the Deep South.』
『Alan Ball’sTrue Bloodseries works well for television, as it has enough sensationalism to tantalize and enough story girth to make the viewer care about the characters. That one can finally invest emotion into monsters, including an undead Civil War victim, a transformer who can shapeshift into various animals, and a female mind reader, speaks volumes about America’s willingness to accept fantasy. Of course, television has always produced good fantasy shows (I Dream of Genie), butTrue Blood’sSouthern Goth brand of fun horror is more macabre and more perverse, not to mention gorier, than most shows of its kind to date. Adapted from Charlaine Harris’ Sookie Stackhouse novels,True Bloodthrills because of its equal blend in each episode of erotica, humor, tragedy, mystery, and fantasy.

Set in a rural, swampy Louisiana parrish, the show centers around Sookie Stackhouse (Anna Paquin) and her clan, sweet grandmother Adele (Lois Smith) and air-headed brother Jason (Ryan Kwanten). Illicit love is spawned early on, when Sookie saves vampire Bill Compton (Stephen Moyer) from having his blood stolen in the parking lot of Merlotte’s diner, owned by Sam Merlotte (Sam Trammell) who completes what will form a complex love triangle. As tensions between Sookie’s suitors loosen or tighten, many side plots, such as her African American best friend Tara’s (Rutina Wesley) struggle with an alcoholic, Bible-thumping mother and her brother’s dangerous crush on drug addicted hippie, Amy Burley (Lizzy Caplan), keep one wondering who will succeed in this podunk place. The main tension throughout, however, is a race war waged between vampires and humans. As murders of “fang bangers” occur (human girls who let vampires bitethem) and dumb policeman Andy Bellefleur (Chris Bauer) fails to find clues, one sees the metaphorical implications of vampirism and feels deeper resonance with what can be a downright trashy show. Gossip galore, especially about what kinds of babies interbreeding will produce, is rampant. One of the funniest characters is Tara’s flamboyant cousin, Lafayette (Nelsan Ellis), who deals drugs, works as a fry cook, and services the local white politicians, while making sure he’s always up in everyone’s business.

What makesTrue Bloodsmarter than pure soap opera is the parallels it draws between its monster mash and actual, familiar societal problems. Sookie and her friends watch the news, where Evangelicals bash vampires and prohibit mixed marriage, and everyone is addicted to V, a.k.a vampire blood, that effects like psychedelic heroin. Even its gore reflects a mix of serious and silly, as vampires explode into red, sticky goop. Though it may not be attempting to qualify for the best vampire footage ever shot,True Bloodis as addictive as that substance the town’s youth obsesses over, which is a metaphor in itself. --Trinie Dalton

(WHAT A JOKE)
『I was soooooo HYPED to get this movie and I settled down, turned the lights off and got ready to be scared, but instead, I laughed thru the whole thing. What a crock. The only thing good I have to say is it got here fast and in great condition.』

(Taz's first review)
『The best movie I ever seen is....."PARANORMAL ACTIVITY". It was so scary .I loved it .I loved it .I loved it because it had an ghost and a demon it .It was scary. I love scary movies like that....I bet you I can sit up in the dark all by myself looking at a scary movie.(Also I could use a little bucket of popcorn!)I did before. I might even do it again tonight .I don't like it when people tell me the whole movie because id would like to see what is going to happen myself .I am going to tell you the movie. Right here and right now. HERE WE GOOOO!(BASED ON TRUE STORY.) Theres a couple. There names are Kate and Micah. They live in a 2 story house in Virginia. Theres a ghost and a demon in their house that keep causing double-trouble.Okay ,here we go....So,Micah and Kate are asleep and Kate hears something downstairs and she gets out of bed and walked to the door and Micah got up and he sees Kate at a door and walks down the stairs together. They see anything but,the chanderligher .It was swinging left to right .They went all the way downstairs and flipped on the lights in the whole house. They didn't see anything so,they went back to bed......TO BE CONTINUED........(SEE PRT.2 )...KAVONTEZ』

(We all have our "demons")
『I bought the dvd before I saw the movie. I didn't really know what to expect. A couple of people I know told me that it was "really scary". I love horror movies, so i've seen quite a few. I also know that what is "scary" to one person may bore another to tears. This movie starts off really slow, the characters started to really annoy me in the middle, but in the end...it got me. Paranormal Activity made me think:. How well do you really know your partner?. Do they have something inside them that could destroy you?. Sometimes you don't even see it coming. Sometimes you don't want to see...like you're asleep. Watch this movie with an open mind. It just might surprise you.』

(What a waste of time - Not even scary!)
『I rented this movie because I wanted to see what all of the hype was about. Sadly, I still have no idea why this made more than $100m in the U.S. The dialogue is AWFUL, the editing leaves much to be desired and the supposedly scary scenes don't even make you jump.

I wish I hadn't wasted 90 mins of my time on this junk.』

(Paranormal BS)
『My sister called me the other night raving about this movie that she just got done watching that scared the beejeesus out of her so I said "aww cool, what was it?" so she says "It's a movie called Paranormal Activity", I say to myself "uh oh" up goes the red flag in my head. So shes telling me a little bit about the movie and it SOUNDS interesting enough but shes leaving out some important details that she forgot to tell me...but first:

I don't believe in this crap, never did, never will...it's a stretch for me to believe in god because I was expected to believe in Santa Claus and the Tooth Fairy and the Easter Bunny when I was a kid and we all know what happened to those things so now, as adults, you plunk me down in a chair and make me sit through 86 minutes of a film shot by a home movie camera ala The Blair Witch project, which I thought was a bunch of crap too but was far creepier crap than this and I only watched 45 minutes of this till I couldn't take it anymore, granted the woman's rack was well worth the 45 minutes I DID sit through even though I know of only ONE other woman that goes to bed wearing a bra (Pullleeease!)....I knew this movie was in trouble with me from the opening credits when I found out that it was shot with a home movie camera and not a traditional movie studio (the fact my sister forgot to tell me because if she had, I wouldn't have wasted my time or my money).

I did watch this movie with the lights out in the middle of the night when I couldn't sleep during a snowstorm and it didn't help at all.

I can't believe this movie did so well because...................it didn't do so well, sorry!, it sucked!』

『This intense edge-of-your seat horror film follows a young suburban couple who record the sinister disturbances in their home while they sleep– even as the domestic haunting becomes more frequent, more threatening and all too personal. Hypnotic and harrowing,Paranormal Activityuniquely delivers frightful suspense punctuated by moments of sudden and unexpected terror, all the way to the shocking ending.

Featuring a version not shown in theaters with an exclusive alternate ending,Paranormal Activityis the one supernatural thriller Blu-ray to own that plays on your most primal fears, and guarantees you’ll need to sleep with the lights on.』

『LikeThe Blair Witch Project,Paranormal Activityis an impressive and harrowing indie chiller that derives much of its terror--and there is quite a bit of that in its brief running time--by playing on the most basic of human fears: that which cannot be seen. Though one might assume that the point-of-view aesthetic had been worn out thanks toCloverfieldandQuarantine(and, lest one forgets,Blair Witch),Paranormalmakes excellent use of the single-camera technique, which helps to not only preserve the film's central conceit--a new-minted couple records the increasingly threatening supernatural phenomena that have invaded their home on a camcorder--but underscore the realism needed to drive home the low-fi (if completely persuasive) special effects. The approach is also crucial to the film's suspense, which unfolds in long, largely broken takes to nerve-rattling effect. Not every horror fan--or moviegoer--will fall for the film's spook-show approach. Those that foundBlair Witch's less-is-more approach aggravating will feel the same way aboutParanormal, but the sleight of hand exhibited by first-time director Oren Peli, and assisted by his two leads, relative newcomers Katie Featherston and Micah Sloat, should provide adventurous viewers with fresher and stronger scares than anything from Hollywood in recent years.--Paul Gaita

(A Super First Season of a Super Show)
『Supernatural and Dexter are my favorite TV shows. The first season of Supernatural shows you the premise of what the story is going to be: two brothers whose mother was killed by a demon and whose father became a hunter of the evil teamed-up again after a few years of trying to live a 'normal' life because dad is missing. What I really like about this show is that the stories are well developed and you actually learn about different spirits from diverse mithologies (Christian, Eastern, Native American, Indian, etc.). It's not just a stranger mix.

J』

(A Worth-While Purchase)
『Supernatural is a great example of acting and writing at their best. The plot and characters are fully developed, there's plenty of action, and the actors work together very well. The show is simultaneously scary and smart, and the acting keeps everything feeling natural - the witty lines and quick comebacks don't sound like they're read straight from the script. As a fairly recent Supernatural fan, I've started watching the show from the beginning. As soon as I finished the 1st season I knew I wanted my own copy, and as I rewatch the episodes I can enjoy them just as much the second and third times as I did the first. Overall, I'm very happy with my purchase, and I plan to buy the other seasons as soon as possible!』

(Amazing)
『One of the most amazing series I've ever viewed.
Every episode is like watching a short monster movie.
The special effects and acting are top-notch.
I highly recommend this series for anyone who is into fantasy, scifi, or horror genres.』

(Xmas Present)
『Got this as part of son's Christmas present. Great price, free shipping. He love's it!』

(AWESOME)
『I love this show so much and the first season is awesome I'm so excited I was finally able to see it all the way through.』
『Bound by tragedy and blood to a dangerous, otherworldly mission, two brothers travel in mysterious back roads of the country in their '67 Chevy Impala, searching for their missing father--and hunting down every evil supernatural force they encounter along the way. Bring home all 22 episodes of the first season of the thrilling new show, Supernatural along with must-own bonus features. Supernatural is a completely new kind of thrill ride that takes viewers on a journey into the dark world of the unexplained.』
『Call itKolchak: The Night Stalker, The College YearsorBuffy the Vampire Slayer for Boys, but the horror seriesSupernaturaldelivers some of the most satisfying small-screen scares in recent memory. The premise is deceptively simple: brothers Sam and Dean (Jared Padalecki fromGilmore Girlsand Jensen Ackles, both appealing) travel the darker corners of the American landscape in search of their father, who's gone missing while hunting the malevolent forces that lead to the death of their mother. In the course of their search, the siblings encounter a host of otherworldly creatures, including vampires, ghosts, and witches, as well as such distinctly American phenomena as the urban-legend favorite the Hook ("Hookman"), monsters from Native American mythology ("Wendigo"), and fearful figures from children's games ("Bloody Mary").Supernatural's integration of elements from American pop culture and folklore, combined with its skilled cast and crew (creator/co-writer Erik Kripke delivered 2005'sBoogeyman, while director/executive producer David Nutter is a veteran ofThe X-FilesandMillennium), and better-than-average attempts at atmosphere and suspense place the series well above the other spookshow programs that arrived on networks at about the same time (Invasion,Night Stalker), and should hold considerable appeal for fans of frightful fare.

The six-disc set contains all 22 episodes of the debut season, with commentary by Ackles and Padalecki on "Phantom Traveler" and Nutter, Kripke, and producer Peter Johnson on the pilot episode; two making-of documentaries (one on the show itself, and the other on its stars), as well as a brace of unaired scenes and a gag reel round out the set. For those with DVD-ROM capabilities, the set also includes a link to a web site which offers a sneak preview at season 2 and the pilot script, among other bonus features.--Paul Gaita

(Great Film Suffers a Bad Transfer)
『I'm sure it's quite easy to read around the other reviews for the praise the film deserves as a film. BUT unfortunately this blu-ray transfer looks washed out, with a constant sheen of brown that dampens the whole image throughout.

It's a great film, but definitely deserves a better transfer than this. Buyer beware.』

(The Silence of the Lambs)
『An ambitious FBI agent enlists the aid of a criminally insane ex-psychiatrist to help track down a vicious serial killer. It has been a good long while since I have felt the presence of Evil so manifestly demonstrated as in the first appearance of Anthony Hopkins in The Silence of the Lambs. The Silence of the Lambs slams you like a sudden blast of bone-chilling, pulse-pounding terror.』

(CLASSIC MOVIE)
『Great movie....I've seen this about a thousand times and will probably never get sick of it.』

(Not a good Blu-ray transfer comparing to the Criterion DVD)
『This is one of my all time favorite movies. This is a five star movie and my two star rating applies only to the Blu-ray transfer. I have the Criterion Collection Edition of this movie. In comparing the Blu-ray edition and the Criterion DVD edition, I found the Blu-ray edition to have a less appealing color palette. It is somewhat bluish, less saturated, and sometimes looks magenta. The Criterion edition has an overall warmer tone. The movie itself also does not seem to benefit all that much from the higher resolution transfer either. I don't know if it's the definition of the film or if the transfer wasn't well done. You are not going to see the kind of sharpness you see on more recent Blu-ray transfers such as The Dark Knight or Revolutionary Road.

Excellent film, though if you have the DVD already it is probably not worth it to get the Blu-ray version.』

(old...but still great.)
『I bought this movie expecting an Ok mistery Thriller...and that is what I got at the beggining but then it turned very good since the first time you see Buffalo Bill.My favorite scene is Hannibal's escape it is gory and exciting he is so clever I think he is the cleverest slasher movie villan off all time he can read your mind.Buffalo Bill is nutts...and I got a very high tolerance for nutts. The main villan is not Hannibal it is Buffalo Bill he is more bad than Hannibal...he has no reason Hannibal is traumatized.Between this 2 villans there is a hero it is the detective the female detective. It is a true classic of Horror cinema the first movie to give Anthony Hopkins his famous role as Dr. Hannibal Lecter The Cannibal.

『A psychopath nicknamed Buffalo Bill is murdering women across the Midwest. Believing it takes one to know one, the FBI sends Agent Clarice Starling (Foster) to interview a demented prisoner who may provide clues to the killer's actions. That prisoner is psychiatrist Dr. Hannibal Lecter (Hopkins), a brilliant, diabolical cannibal who agrees to help Starling only if she'll feed his morbid curiosity with details of her own complicated life. As their relationship develops, Starling is forced to confront not only her own hidden demons, but also an evil so powerful that she may not have the courage or strength to stop it!』
『Based on Thomas Harris's novel, this terrifying film by Jonathan Demme really only contains a couple of genuinely shocking moments (one involving an autopsy, the other a prison break). The rest of the film is a splatter-free visual and psychological descent into the hell of madness, redeemed astonishingly by an unlikely connection between a monster and a haunted young woman. Anthony Hopkins is extraordinary as the cannibalistic psychiatrist Dr. Hannibal Lecter, virtually entombed in a subterranean prison for the criminally insane. At the behest of the FBI, agent-in-training Clarice Starling (Jodie Foster) approaches Lecter, requesting his insights into the identity and methods of a serial killer named Buffalo Bill (Ted Levine). In exchange, Lecter demands the right to penetrate Starling's most painful memories, creating a bizarre but palpable intimacy that liberates them both under separate but equally horrific circumstances. Demme, a filmmaker with a uniquely populist vision (Melvin and Howard,Something Wild), also spent his early years making pulp for Roger Corman (Caged Heat), and he hasn't forgotten the significance of tone, atmosphere, and the unsettling nature of a crudely effective close-up. Much of the film, in fact, consists of actors staring straight into the camera (usually from Clarice's point of view), making every bridge between one set of eyes to another seem terribly dangerous.--Tom Keogh

(Ho. Lee. Crap.)
『This movie owes whatever sucess it may have had to the trailer. The trailer was good. This was without a doubt one of the worst movies I have ever seen. It is easy to understand when you consider it was being written WHILE it was being filmed. I loved Rob's first Halloween. I loved the fact that he said he would never do another one. Then along came a truckload of money and a chance to get his wife in front of the cameras again. Seriously, I could not stand anyone in the film other than Annie and I think that goes more towards the magnetism of Danielle Harris as a person than any credit to the film-maker. I seriously felt insulted by this thing. It is unoriginal, often unintelligible, and a waste of money. In my opinion, this film ranks below Season of the Witch and Resurrection as the worst Halloween movie ever made. Great. 3-D comes out in October. Sad. Just sad.』

(Decent movie, but doesn't do the series justice.)
『I've been a huge fan of the Halloween series of movies since I was a kid. And Rob Zombie's interpretation of the first Halloween movie thrilled me, as it delved into the history of Michael Myers that the original didn't. After seeing Rob's first Halloween, I was very eagerly anticipating this second one, since Halloween II was my favorite of the original Halloween series. However, this one seemed to miss the mark with me. It wasn't a BAD movie. It just didn't expand on the original like the first one did. Rob's Halloween II seemed more centered on the violence aspect and was closer to a "Torture Porn" genre than a true "Slasher". Also, there was a lot of just plain weird stuff in it that made it hard to follow.

Overall, as a big fan of the Halloween series, this was worth watching. If for no other reason, just to see someone else's take on the movie. But, next time I sit down to watch Halloween II, it will be the original.』

(Michael should've stayed dead after the first movie!)
『Let me get this out of the way so that there is no mistaking what direction this review is going:

JOHN CARPENTER'S HALLOWEEN II IS MILES...NO MAKE THAT LIGHT YEARS AHEAD OF THIS REMAKE....NO QUESTION ABOUT IT!

And the reason I can get away with saying this so easily is that being a collector of horror movies and having the complete set of every Michael Myers Halloween and even the one Non-Michael Myers Halloween movie ever made, I can tell you that this second Rob Zombie remake blows monkey chunks so bad, that just when I thought it was impossible to watch, a watchable part came strolling by the screen....and even THAT isn't saying too much but first, a back story to why this remake is not plausible.

In the original Halloweens, Michael was an unstoppable force, a demon possessed and we all understood this and accepted it as such so naturally when he was shot at by police or whacked over the head or gutted with a knife, he could never be killed and he came back film after film after film until finally in "Halloween "Resurrection", Laurie is killed and Michael is believed to be killed also and unfortunately shortly after that movie was finished, the producer of these movies, Moustapha Akkad, was killed in a suicide bombing and for all intents and purposes, that was the end of the original Michael Myers Halloween Movies because Moustapha said that the only way he would stop making them was if he were dead.

The reason why Carpenter was able to get away with bringing Michael back was because of the possession story I explained earlier that Michael was cast in.....

****SPOILER ALERT****IF YOU HAVEN'T SEEN THE FIRST ROB ZOMBIE HALLOWEEN MOVIE, STOP HERE!****SPOILER ALERT****
In Zombie's first Halloween movie, no such demonic possession existed, Michael was portrayed as a child who grew up in a really twisted and dysfunctional household and who himself was bullied at school and one day just snapped and went ballistic on the bully at school and killed him, and killed his scumbag father and was incarcerated and then his twisted mother who was a stripper (more on this later) blows her brains out and then he grows up to be this huge M****RF****R who breaks out of Smiths Grove (just like in the first movie), returns to Haddonfield and starts killing people, now this is all well and good until the end of the movie when Laurie, his sister, shoots him in the head and kills him.

Now, I don't know if you're following me here but if you're not a person possessed by a demonic soul, when you get shot in the head by a gun the size of the one Laurie used at the range she was at?, YOU'RE DEAD!.....This is the first reason why this movie is so stupid...Yeah Yeah, I know it's Hollywood and they can do things like that, I get that but if you're going to make a sequel to a movie like this, at least make it look half way plausible so you're not insulting the audiences intelligence.

I thought the first Rob Zombie film was the better of the two, far better, way better, I'm glad I just rented this film because it's a piece of crap, I don't know why he bother schmutzing it up with his wife in it through out the movie playing a ghost, I mean seriously, the scenes with her could have been substituted with some kill scenes instead because this movie was sadly lacking a body count.....there were more bodies in the Original Halloween II (the music was better also).

There are GOOD things about this movie if you can believe it, Brad Dourif was terrific as Sheriff Brackett, Malcom McDowell, with all due respect to his acting ability was okay as Dr. Loomis but could never replace the late great Donald Pleasance. I really thought Danielle Harris was great in these Zombie flicks, she played the part of Annie very well. Newcomers who do NOT know who Danielle Harris is, she played Laurie Strode's daughter in Halloween IV: The return of Michael Myers and Halloween 5: The revenge of Michael Myers but for some reason was quickly removed from the cast in any future movies after that until these two remakes.

If you must see this movie, RENT IT, DO NOT BUY IT, Trust me, YOU'LL BE SORRY IF YOU DO, I believe in series continuity just like the next guy and I feel like I need to get every movie in a series but if I don't like a sequel, I DON'T BUY IT...........PERIOD and I didn't like this one AT ALL, Stay away from it!

(Bad way to cheat the fans!!)
『I'm a huge fan of Rob Zombie. I am very sad that I have to say this about his 2 different films Halloween 2 theatrical with better ending.Spoilers alert read no further if you haven't seen the director's cut! The directors cut has more gore as suspected and more nudity. Also it has more of Rob's famous seventy's exploitation style! Both versions are entirely different films in an effort to make more money. This is from a huge fan! The theatrical version has John Carpender's theme and is a better film, more 80's style. I prefer Halloween movies with the only scary parts included suspense,(Rob only had that with his first movie, House of a thousand corpses! The directors cut has great stuff but no theme or suspense just plenty of shock and gore more disturbing images and I think more nudity. Rob is an innovator of what's been done before, but not since the seventy's. Italian directors such as, Joe D'mato, Dadanto, and others have out gored him but those films weren't received well in the States, Unfortunately even Argento's and Bava's movies are better than this. I love you Rob but I had to write this review because you tried to cash out in a bad economy! Both films are great horror films and to the point, but why do the true fans have to buy 2 of the same film. Rob, you should have packaged this differently, it's not fare to fans, like myself.PS. Danielle Harris is still adorable!!!』

(IT IS WAT IT IS...love it hate it.)
『ok so it would get 5 but zombie has to always release directors cuts that change the best parts of his movies to make em more f ed up. remember halloween one? the prison break, instead we get rape. yeah dont expect the original master peace ending! he changes it to an ending thats ok. but it was a good movie. and it was better than what they were planning. a difforent director to do it in 3D? no 3D sucks. any way get it, but if you can find the theatrical version get that one.』
Rob Zombie'sH2(Halloween) picks up at the exact moment that 2007's box-office smash,Halloweenstopped and follows the aftermath of Michael Myers's (Tyler Mane) murderous rampage through the eyes of heroine Laurie Strode (Scout Taylor Compton).

Evil has a new destiny. Michael Myers is back in this terrifying sequel to Rob Zombie’s visionary re-imagining of Halloween which grossed almost $80 million worldwide. It is that time of year again, and Michael Myers has returned home to sleepy Haddonfield, Illinois to take care of some unfinished family business. Unleashing a trail of terror that only horror master Zombie can, Myers will stop at nothing to bring closure to the secrets of his twisted past. But the town's got an unlikely new hero, if they can only stay alive long enough to stop the unstoppable.

『Rocker turned writer-director Rob Zombie returns to the horror field with this visually ambitious and aggressively brutal follow-up to his 2007 reinvention of John Carpenter’s seminal slasherHalloween. The 1981 sequel to the Carpenter film is completely ignored here (and for good reason) in favor of an extension of the central focus of Zombie’sHalloween, and all of his films, for that matter: the corruption at the heart of the nuclear family. Here, Laurie Strode (Scout Taylor Compton) is attempting to heal the psychic wounds from her previous encounter with brother Michael Myers (Tyler Mane) by bonding with Sheriff Brackett (Brad Dourif, a pleasure to watch as always) and his daughter Anne (Danielle Harris, herself a vet from the original run of Halloween sequels). Her previous surrogate father, Dr. Loomis (Malcolm McDowell) has forsaken his connection to Laurie by exploiting his connection to Michael with a tell-all book; meanwhile, Michael himself roams the lonely outskirts of Haddonfield, driven by visions of his mother (Sheri Moon Zombie) and a single-minded urge to bond with his sister at any cost.

Aesthetically,H2is striking, thanks largely to the ashen color scheme by cinematographer Brandon Trost (Crank 2: High Voltage), which underscores the doom-laded spiral track each of the main characters seem to travel in the film. And Zombie is to be commended for venturing outside of his comfort zone--the grimy, pop-culture ironic, white trash environment his characters frequently inhabit--with the scenes between Michael and his mother. But again, his ambitions don’t meet with his abilities--Moon looks impressive, but her apocalyptic mutterings ring more silly than spectral, especially when she’s forced to play opposite an enormous pale horse (insert heavy-handed Biblical imagery here). Most fans will find these moments more tedious than inspired, and a distraction from the murders, which retain Zombie’s preference for mayhem. He succeeds in this department, but if the end result is a menu of ugly killings, the point of revamping the Halloween franchise is somewhat moot, since the threadbare follow-ups to the Carpenter original already achieved that goal. Zombie’s knack for offbeat casting remains his most inspired talent: Haddonfield is filled with cult icons like Caroline Williams (Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2), Margot Kidder, and Daniel Roebuck, who jostle for space with rough-hewn character players like Duane Whitaker, Mark Boone Junior, and Dayton Callie (Deadwood) and left-field cameos by Howard Hesseman and“Weird Al” Yankovic.--Paul Gaita

(All the classics.)
『Everyone below has outlined the product effectively.

My main problems with the set are the lack of a Play All option on every disc and the seemingly fragile disc cases (which also may potentially damage the disc if one is not careful in putting them back).

Other than that, the content is phenomenal.』
