I was very excited to receive the Calphalon pot and although it was a bit shorter and wider than most of the 2-3 quart pots I have used, I thought it would be fine. I used it for the first time to heat stew and after carefully hand washing, set it in my drainer to dry. The next morning it was a dull gray color and the coating appeared to have disappeared, both inside and out. I rubbed the pot with canola oil and it absorbed the oil but the finish was unchanged. I tried using the pot for some soup but more of the gray coating came off and was a layer floating on my dinner (No we didn't eat it!). I washed the pot again and even more of the coating came off. This is HARD anodized? The next day I returned the pot. Terrible product. Don't waste your money.
This sauce pan is great for a small family. It is truly non-stick and is easy to clean inside and out. The lid matches and is easy to clean as well. The only thing that would have improved my rating is for a glass lid so I can watch the food as it is cooking.
You can't go wrong with this pot. I've had one for five years and it looks and performs as it did on the first day. It cooks well but best of all, it's so easy to clean! Buy one for its price, durability, and performance.
I have used Calphalon as long as I can remember (this is all my mother would use when I was growing up, but at that time it was made by a different company). I love the fact that the handle doesn't get hot like the old brand did. Great product! It will last forever if taken care of properly.
This is an unpretentious little pan that does whatever you want it to do well. As promised, it heats up is a quick even fashion, and I have yet to discover anything I have cooked in it overdone on one side. I was concerned about the pitting about which several readers have complained. But after about 15 uses, so for the finish remains satiny smooth.

I originally bought an older version of this thermometer for brewing beer. It turns out that they are perfect for checking the temp of baby bottles as well! The old one was dropped on its sensing tip and broke, so I purchased two new ones. They read fast, they are very easy to calibrate, though both were within 0.1°F from the factory. This is a great digital thermometer!
This digital thermometer was so useful and accurate I purchased one for each of my children.
Subscriber/viewer/fan of Cook's Illustrated/America's Test Kitchen since 2004. And, as always, they were so right! This is a great little product. I've had it for 6 months now and not only was it inexpensive, it really does give you a reliably instant, accurate read. So easy to use! Very pleased with this purchase.
I used this item for two years and now the red paint on the probe tip is peeling off. Did it get into our food? Hard to say. Otherwise it worked well, no problem with battery life. It is top heavy, so the face is always turning downward and that makes it a bit awkward to read. But if not for the paint issue I'd give it 4 stars. Because of the paint issue, I tossed it.
I found out about this thermometer from the PBS show Cooks County. It is a very easy to use thermometer. Quick and accurate - it's great. I highly recommend it.

The jugs themselves are not packaged well by the manufacturer. Amazon did everything possible to make sure they did not break (The box was bubble wrapped in two other boxes) however there is no padding in the original box, so there's not much Amazon can do. When I received them, one was broken and one was fine. Instead of returning them, I asked for a replacement in hope that I'll receive another one that is intact so I can have a set. Amazon is paying for the shipping so I'm not losing any money, however, the Bormioli jugs do not seem to be designed to ship.

The quality of the jugs are fine; just be prepared for possible breakage.

These are sturdy and pretty to look at, but make a mess when pouring. I was looking for a small jug that would hold juices and crystal light and these seemed like they would go the job. However first time I poured from one it made a huge mess on the counter.
They look great. The tops are cheap plastic. More liquid dribbles down the side than actually pores. We gave up on them and stuck fake fruit in them.
I LOVE glass, yes glass can be heavy but I have no worries about plastic with this product. Perfect size. Pouring cap stays on well when pouring. Great for ice coffee, juice, water,etc.
So Amazon deleted my original review ... I guess because they sent me a new set (but I'm a bit annoyed that it was deleted anyway.)

- First set was shipped with TWO shipping boxes, plenty of padding and one Manufacturer box. One pitcher was broken. Filled out the return info, printed out the shipping label and then Amazon told me to dispose of the glass instead so I kept the one unbroken.

- Second set was shipped with one shipping box, plenty of padding and the Manufacturer box. One broken pitcher one unbroken pitcher.

So now I have the set of 2 I ordered.

As I had mentioned previously, I think it's a problem with the Manufacturer's packaging since they only put a thin piece of cardboard between the two pitcher's. Two glass pitchers, a little bit of wiggle room and they hit against each other breaking at least one during shipping each time.

I have been really happy with the pitcher I've been using for the last few days.
- It is really thick glass and a great shape and size for the fridge.
- Might be better for a 1-3 person household since each pitcher doesn't hold a lot. But this makes it very nice for having say a pitcher of iced tea ready so you drink less soda.
- Pouring hasn't been a problem for me, even with the lid on (don't pour too fast ... if you want to pour really fast just take the lid off.) DO make sure you have the lid turned the correct direction with the opening at the spout before pouring.
- It does not have an airtight seal so you can't shake whatever is inside but it does seal enough to protect whatever is inside from being quite so exposed to fridge air.

Because of Amazon Prime and free shipping deals the set of 2 is still cheaper than buying the individual one that doesn't get free shipping (even if 1 out of 2 breaks it's still cheaper.)

Other than the hassle and dealing with broken glass these are pretty much perfect for me. I gave it 3 stars for that but I would buy them again.

This is the best silicone brush I have ever used.

It has a curved handle so you can brush things easily without getting burn by hot steam or flame. The specially designed brush head can holds fluid well, and brush smoothly. My only complain is that the head is not replaceable. That means if you accidentally ruin you brush(which I doubt, but you know...anything could happen), you have to buy a complete new one, not just switch the head.

If you have ever tried other silicone brushs, yet having bad feeing about them, don't give up the thought that silicone brush might be just better than traditional bristle brush. Try this Oxo silicone brush, and you will finally know the art of brushing!
I have been using mine mostly for oils. It picks up a decent amount for oiling a pan, mould or wok. It is non absorbent, inside the bristles are strips with holes which hold liquid for the bristles to distribute. That takes a little getting used to as it is quite different from a bristle brush--it picks up more and distributes faster. Its great for making pastries with oils like almond, sesame, walnut etc. It also does very well with glazes, but I would not try it with any thick material; but that's what a spatula is for any how.

Cleanup is easy and you don't have to use the dish washer but it is fine in the dishwasher; unlike the bristle brushes which degrade.

One feature that no one else has mentioned is that the bristles angle to one side so you can lay the brush down without getting oil or whatever on the counter or plate.

I was so happy when silicon pastry and basting brushes came out a few years ago. They are so much easier to clean and I finally feel like mine is clean when I run it through the dishwasher. These silicon brushes do not burn or singe when used on very hot food or pans and they don't stain. Best of all the bristles don't come out and get stuck on your food. I always hated having to pick off the bristles while cooking or before serving and I inevitably missed one or two. Now that problem is gone. These are a great tool and everyone should have one with fine "bristles" and one with heavier bristles for more generous dispensing. Oxo Good Grips is reliable and produces good products.
Prior to getting this brush, I had a bristle pastry brush that was starting to lose it bristles, and those that were left were getting brittle. I was hesitant about getting a silicone brush because I didn't think would would hold enough oil or marinade. Boy, was I wrong. I bought 3 Oxo brushes in different sizes, but tend to use this one the most because of its smaller size. I use it primarily for basting fish and meats with marinades or seasoned oil. It holds a surprising amount without dripping. Needless to say, all of my bristle brushes have been retired.

I actually bought this to use for a full size keaboard and mouse, and it works greate for me playing games from my bed, VS, sitting on a chair at my desk. (I use my 52 Samsung for my pc gaming, better than my 19'Viewsonic) I also use it with my Laptop and is just do what it was build for. I have wireless at my house and i just pick this thing up / carry with laptop and mouse and go upstairs and downstairs, even out side. it's awsome.
... if not for one major design flaw.

The support from underneath is NOT in the middle of the shelf that holds the computer, but rather off to the right. Put a laptop on it, like my 15" MacBook Pro, and the left-rear corner of the shelf sags.

Another, smaller issue: If your computer's "open switch" is on the front, it will be blocked by the front of the platform.

I found a workaround, though:

Raise both the computer and mouse platforms at once, and put the computer on both. (This solves both issues, because when you move the computer to the side it exposes the "open" button on the front.)

Of course, this covers up most or all of the right-hand mousepad. So you use either the trackpad or put a mousepad on the left-hand side.

P.S.

Oh, I should mention - This is a "lap top" stand, but if you unfold the legs all the way and put it on top of your desk then you can work standing up. (Depending on your height and the desk height, of course.)

Perfect for those who don't want to sit around all day.
It looks smaller than the pictures shown. It's plastic, so it's not as durable as the wooden ones with similar design. Yes, the table can prop your laptop on an angle, but most normal laptops may be too heavy, and the plastic leg that props the table up cannot support the weight of the laptop. My laptop weights about 6.4lbs and it bends the plastic table top when it's propped up. Unless you use one of the mini notebooks I would recommend you leave it like a flat table.

I have a 16" Dell XPS, when I put the laptop on the workstation, it hangs off about 3/4" on each side. The mouse pad is a very nice for mouse use. There is storage under the mouse pad, but it's very small, almost useless. The light's not very bright, I don't use it since my laptop has back lit keyboard. I'm a normal size person, the lap high is fine, but if you are a big and tall person the space's slightly tight depends on how big you are.

Overall, it's a little small than expected, not very heavy duty, but it gets the work done.
I went to my local Fry's and bought this item. I returned it the very next day. I have a toshiba satellite p305 and its 17" and the lop left corner bent in. It overall feels and looks very cheap. If you need something for a smaller laptop or just reading then it may be for you.If it had a second support arm for the left side I may have kept it.
While spending time on bed rest while pregnant with twins, this table held my laptop over me allowing me to still work. I also used it for eating. I had to raise both the laptop&mouse area to comfortablely center the laptop. The laptop is secure enough. I was worried that it may fall on me but it hasn't yet. (I keep the legs on the first level.) The light is a nice feature&maybe a new design will have a cup holder.

Bought two of these for my man, a real "foodie," an experimental cook, and the ultimate collector of high-quality knives.

He and I both are really impressed with this find. Really quality product.

These are up in our kitchen side by side horizontally, with the knives hanging diagonally on them. A friend has knife strips stacked vertically on a tiny wall near the sink and stove area, again with the knives hanging diagonally.

The strip came with all the hardware needed for installation, butno instructions, gladly it was pretty easy to figure out. Over all it works out great.
I have more counter space, it holds knives securely. It doesnt come with instructions but then it is quite simple to screw in place and really doesnt need any. Much better than a butchers block for holding knives! Highly recommend
Works great, the way I have it mounted it is almost too strong for me, I'm afraid I'm going to pull it off the wall when I take a knife off, but it mounted easily and works very well.
I purchased this product from Amazon because the stores near me only carry extremely ugly colors. The reviews seemed good, but after putting it up, it is not very stable. As you pull a knife off the wall the whole thing tilts and almost comes off completely. You have to hold the thing up against the wall as you strategically pull and twist the knife off of it. Maybe we didn't install it properly, but who knows considering it didn't come with any instructions whatsoever.

Had a previous foreman, (actually bigger, but with less "float" to hinge), but handle broke and replacement part too expensive, so replaced with this model. Best part is a newer higher, wider range floating hinge that allows top plate to sit flat on meat, instead of an angle just at the back portion. Smaller size has not been a problem.Use daily, great handy appliance.
I bought this grill for someone who forgets to turn off burners. When the set time is up it automatically turns off. It's also much easier to clean with the removable plates. They really like using it. I would recommend this grill for anyone, but especially for people with memory problems. I may buy one for myself, but my George Forman grill is still going strong after several years.
I got this product to upgrade from my older, smaller, original George Foreman grill. I use it frequently, and it's wonderful, especially the fact that it's very easy to clean.

I have owned juicers before and they performed admirably. Their down-fall,however, was the difficulty in cleaning them. The positive benefits of natural juices was out weighed by the difficulty in cleaning the machine. Sad, but true. After reading reviews about the Breville juice fountain I was skeptical but have been made a believer! It juices with magnificent speed and the juice it extracts is wonderfully healthful. AND, the clean up is quick, easy and efficient. A quick rinse and then right into the dishwasher. The only time it takes is to use the included brush to get the last particles out of the screen surrounding the blade. It doesn't take much work and I prefer to clean it well each time I use it to prevent bacteria build up.
I would recommend this machine to anyone who's interested in juicing!
We've been looking around the internet for juicers before we decided to buy this one. Only regret after I bought this juicer is that its twenty dollars cheaper than it was. But it's well worth the money. Everyone in the family loves the juice it makes. This is the best decision we ever made as far as health is concerned. I think every family should own one; you won't be needing a doctor after drinking this twice a day.
I like the juicer but there are a few things which could be improved. The pitcher is not well designed: a) You can't pour when the lid is on b) It is not sealed so it will pick up oders from the fridge c) There is a lip on the base so when you invert it and wash it in a dishwasher it collects dishwater.
There is a similar issue with the pulp container. It collects a lot of water when inverted.
My criticism is not of the juicer itself but of the additional parts which could be much better designed, especially the pitcher.
At my mother's recommendation, I originally purchased the Jack LL's Power Juicer Pro. I kept and used it daily for a few weeks but wound up returning it and getting the Breville Juice Fountain Plus instead. Here's my feedback on both:

JLL Pros: clearer juice, little to no pulp or froth in juice.

JLL Cons: Spout location is too low (only allows for a small, perhaps odd-sized, catch container, which, as someone else aptly mentioned, is not convenient if you're juicing more than a cupful; as compared to the Breville, the cleanup takes a little longer since you have to detach the blade from the filter and wash them separately; non-drip spout would frequently get clogged and cause the liquid to leak from the sides (a mess) or especially with harder items like pineapple, the machine would find it too much to handle at times&shut off and you'd have to wait a while for it to recover before it would work again (the main reason for the return.)

On to the Breville:

Pros: Very attractive (the reason I bought the JLL Pro is because it was more pleasing to the eye than the basic JLL juicer, as there are no differences in motor. I'm sorry, I can't pay money for ugly things!), handles pineapples, carrots, beets, etc. like a champ- no problems whatsoever. Spout height is user-friendly, not to mention that it comes with a tall catch container with a cover (no splashing on the counter) and a spout (which is wonderful. True, I could just as easily use a large measuring cup, but the cover is nice, and it fits the machine.) I'm no engineer, but I wonder what role the difference the wattage increase&the 2 speeds plays in the better performance for me (in which case, I would wonder if a similarly-credentialed juicer (but lower priced), the Juiceman,Jr. is competitive. (I won't know. I like the Breville, so I'm keeping it.) Is cheaper than the JLL Pro (got at Bed,Bath&Beyond w/ a 20% off coupon - tx to the reviewer who suggested this, so was 120 + tax.) Faster cleanup with the blade attached to the filter basket.

Breville Cons: Juice is thicker/frothier/pulpier than that of the JLL, even in switching speeds according to the hardness of the fruit/vegetable (Isn't really a 'con' unless you dislike it. I don't mind, but the difference was notable.)But I should add that there is an attachment to the catch container to separate the froth from the juice.

Addressing other things mentioned, I've not had anything bounce back into my face, but I do immediately place the plunger in the chute after the fruit/veg. Agreeing with others, even though both juicers' parts are dishwasher-safe, it's so much easier to wash everything right after juicing, before anything gets hard and crusty. And it doesn't take that long at all.

Overall, I am very happy with this juicer, and it's so true what they say about juicing. My body loves it and I can feel and have observed positive changes in my body since I've started.

I love this juicer.However after one month of normal juiceing the filter basket tore and they do not warrant this item.Luckily I purchased this item at BED BATH&BEYOND .They would have given me a refund if I wanted it.They gave me a new unit and told me if I had any more trouble I could return the peoduct for any reason even after the warrany period was up.
I would not purchase another juicer from this company unless they offered a warranty on the basket as it cost $50

This thing looks to be well built but it is too big for my char-broil smoker. It is even too big for use on my Weber Genesis Silver grill unless I leave the lid up. If you are planning on using it for one of those two make sure you understand the dimensions of the thing.

Very sturdy construction, with lots of support for meats(those cross-members in the middle are welded to the top layer, so you have six support rods elevated almost an inch to let the fats drip down and not touch the ribs.

Finish is baked-on enamel. Poor packaging - it is shipped in thin polybag. Do not order this along with cast iron "stuff" or the rack WILL get scratched (ask me how do I know :( )

Like any sturdy convoluted thing, will be a bear to clean unless soaked in the DEEP sink with nylon brush. Personally, I'll run it through the dishwasher. Then, again, just like a grilling rack it does not have to be spotless :)
Five stars for the rack, one star for the packaging except that I do not know whether Amazon repackaged the item.
title says it all. i never even took the cardboard off it. wish I had tried it out as soon as I received it so I could return it.

I got one from Lowes for under ten bucks that worked all fine. if anything check the dimensions well beforehand, or test it for fit as soon as you receive it.

if you're using it on a grill, that's probably fine, but then, that's not barbecue. if you're using it on a vertical or an egg, you're probably fine (and I'm jealous of your egg :)

This rack is built really tough. It's a very nice rack and I believe it will do the job it is intended for, but the rack was too big for my grill, so I can't use it. I will give it to a lucky person!!! I would recommend it to anyone wanting a really nice rib cooking rack.
Hard to use in a small oven (barely any room for a drip pan) and hard to put BBQ sauce on while in the rack. Very hard to clean even though it is non-stick. Ran it through the dishwasher twice and there is still with stuff still on there - gave up.

Great universal pan. Works great an my flat electric top. Not deep enough for an oven braise (pork or beef shoulder), but for anything on top of the range it will work well for a family of 3-5 depending on the size of your teenager.
I want to preface this review by saying that I own several pieces of Calphalon cookware. Usually, performance is not an issue. It is with this pan. I echo the complaints of other reviewers. EVERYTHING sticks, from stirfry dishes to French toast. Experimentation with regulating temperature made no difference.

However, Calphalon products do come with a lifetime warranty. Calphalon was more very helpful when contacted, and the company is in the process of sending a replacement.

I have had the 10" model of this pan for years and loved it, so when I saw the 12" for $30 on Amazon, I jumped on it. Unfortunately, Calphalon has changed the nonstick coating in the years since I bought the 10". EVERYTHING seizes up and sticks to this pan, and it takes a great deal of time to clean it. (Putting clean, cool water in it and allowing the water to simmer for a while is about the only way I've found to get it clean. And oftentimes it takes more than one change of water to loosen all the food particles.)

My other complaint: The handles on this puppy heat up extremely quickly. It's a far cry from my All-Clad pans, the handles of which never get too hot to handle. Then again, to be fair, this pan cost a lot less than the All-Clad.

Despite my gripes, this pan was worth $30. It's well made and has good weight. The surface heats evenly. This pan is definitely a workhorse. But I simply am unable to use it as I had hoped, and that is disappointing.

I purchased this, and the small sauce pan right before the holidays, as they were on sale for a great price. I thought Calphalon was a reputable brand. I have used Magnalite Anodized Aluminum Cookware for YEARS, and it was finally showing some wear. For health reasons, I knew I had to replace them once the dark coating wore off to show the shiny aluminum. When the pots arrived, I noticed that they were paper thin, compared to the Magnalite, but decided to give them a try. I never wash my pots in the dishwasher, and follow all recommended cooking and cleaning instructions, yet the dark coating has already wore off the bottom of both of the pans I ordered in several spots. (within a month of use) I know for sure that this is a health hazard, and the pans are now useless.
PLEASE DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THESE PANS!
I bought this pan from another source, paid more and it didn't even come with the lid. I love mine and wish it would have had the lid to keep my stir fry's warm while waiting for my rice to finish or when everyone comes downstairs to eat. This pan is nice and sturdy. The shape is great as it works super well for deep frying too. Very glad that I bought this.
