(Loved it until it fell apart) 『We got my son this bike for his 2nd bday in February. He was a little small for it at first but started riding it about 3 months ago. He's crashed it the way that a normal 2 year would. First the wood around the handle grips started splitting. My husband duct-taped which worked fine. But the handlebars completely popped off and the wood split from the screws making it completely un-fixable after a normal fall on the sidewalk. Pretty bummed because now I'll be out another $100 replacing it with a more durable metal version.』

PROS: - great value for the money: less than 1/3 the cost of the German Like-a-Bike, acceptable build quality for the price - pneumatic tires with excellent tread&grip (Beware of lowest-end balance bikes with hard plastic wheels that do not offer adequate grip while cornering) - "disc" wheels (no spokes to catch small feet) - lightweight - good grips - great for smaller children: another reviewer had the BRILLIANT idea of flipping the frame upside down to accomodate children under 3 years of age. Wish I'd thought of that for my firstborn!
CONS: - limited seat mast extension: I had to drill an additional hole in the wooden seat mast to extend it to accomodate my eldest as she grew beyond ~44" at age 5. The Smart Balance bike, for example, has a seat that extends at least 1" further than the stock drillings on the Skuut. - our 2-year old Skuut came with a fabric seat cover&thin foam padding (denser, closed-cell foam and a weather/scuff-proof vinyl cover would be much better idea) - bolts cut into curved plywood surfaces. If I could do it over again, I would have placed larger washers between the plywood frame and the bolt heads and the mounting hardware for the seat-mast and rear wheel. The $300 Like-a-Bike undoubtedly uses sturdier plywood, but for $0.60 at your local hardware store, you can purchase washers that will prevent the bolt heads from digging into the wood as you tighten them to proper clamping tension. - finish quality: I smoothed out some of the rougher cut edges on the plywood with 200 grit sandpaper.
Our Skuut is now being used by my 35lb 3-year old, and is still hugely popular with my 6 year-old and her friends, all in the 40-50lb range. We have had no durability issues whatsoever, but I will qualify this by saying ours has been ridden largely on smooth, paved surfaces, never been left out in the rain, and our girls do not abuse their riding toys by dropping them, ghost-riding, etc. Mileage may vary!』

I sent my shirt back to Amazon and hope that I get a refund. This is not what I expect from a company like Amazon. They are usually reliable and a very respectable company. (Good T-Shirt) 『Recently, my wife complained that several of my t-shirts were showing their age and it was time for new ones. Amazon was my first choice in shopping for new ones. I looked at several brands and choose the Pro Cotton Pocket T over the Hanes Beefy T mainly because Amazon gives free shipping for brands they carry. I had selected several Hanes Beefy T-shirts at a cheaper price from one of Amazon's merchants and was in the checkout when the shipping came up at $35 (they charge per shirt shipping with no adjustment for combined shipping. Screw that!! I went back and looked at the Pro Cotton T-shirt. In reviewing comments most people were satisfied with their purchase however, several complained about the shirts not being what they use to be. I'd have to disagree. I have a few older Pro Cotton T-shirts that were buried in my hunting pack for a few years and compared with the new ones. Same quality manufacturing and same thickness material. The only real differences are: 1) the neck is tighter (which I like but maybe a problem if you have a large neck) and 2) the cotton material is softer, not thinner. Other things I like about the Pro Cotton are: long sleeves down to the elbow, generous waist length (I tuck my shirts in so this is a big deal to me), reinforced and generous sized pocket and the tighter reinforced neck. I wear an X-large. I will be back to buy more of these shirts.』

I had this as a base layer and wore a good windbreaker on top of it, some thick gloves to protect my hands, and reflective toque. It was 18 degrees F at 5am and I went for a run in KC from my hotel to the Liberty Memorial and back, total of 3.4 miles. This, along with my Under Armour Cold Gear Action Legging Mens, kept me warm.
If you run in cold weather, anywhere from 55 degrees to about 18 degrees, and you have a solid windbreaker, gloves, a nice warm hat, and this as a base layer, you'll be fine.』

The little pen has come in very handy when I needed to write something down and a regular pen was unavailable. I collect swiss army knives, so the champ was a must have. This a well built tool that can be used hard. I have always been impressed with it's ability to fight off rust. The champ does not require a lot of maintanence. There are implements on this knife I will probably never use. The only reason I do not carry my champ 24/7 is I have been unable to find a comfortable way of carrying it. It is a great conversation starter. The fit and finish of these knives is excellent. All the tools have good snap.』
(shunk o' steel) 『from the pictures on this website it is impossible to estimate the exact size of the swiss champ. now, it is not exactly collosal, but it feels kind of like your pants will be dragged down any second. of course this is easily solved by putting it in your jacket pocket. i think a lot of weight could have been taken of if this knife did not have so many superfluous functions. i have never used the corkscrew, or most of the screwdrivers, just one phillips and one regular. the ballpoint pen is almost completey useless, being so impossible to get a good grip on. the knives are extremely sharp, but i think only one is neccesary. about the wire stripper, you have cut a small slit in the wire sideways before usig it. the slit should catch onyo the edge of the tool. on the quality: superb as superb can be. you cannot get a better made knife, they simply do not exist. only problem is that the magnifying flas is plastic, wich will eventually get scratched, probably. the hook thing is not able to carry more than one bag, and you have to wrap the handles around it. waste of three milimeters in my opinion. the most useful tools are the toothpick, scissors and pliers. the thing tha is supposed to have a metal file on one side and a nail file on the other has two files wich are exactly the same. both work well for both jobs. the plastic handles do gt scratched up so be careful』

(A wonderful watch that always works and is always set) 『I stopped wearing a wrist watch about ten years ago when I started carrying a cell phone. Why have two time devices? In the last few years though I've started ditching my cell phone when I don't want to be disturbed. That left me with no time piece. My cell phone doesn't like to go swimming either.
So first I wanted a watch that I wouldn't have to keep replacing batteries in, 1. because it is a pain, but 2. I find that good water resistant watches often start leaking after the battery is replaced. Never opening the back of the watch is a good way to maintain the seal.
Second I have some of the radio controlled clocks around the house and I really like that they are always correct without me messing with them. So I wanted the same in a watch.
Finally it needed to be tough, because I am hard on my watches. When I was younger I had good luck with Casio and the "G-Shock" watch was always the "coolest." thing.
My wife dislikes big chunky digital watches though. This one with the analog face was a great compromise. It still has digital, and it is still durable, but the analog hands make it just a tad more classy.
I LOVE this watch. Here are some points:
1. The solar charging works great. I was afraid of letting it die, but it really doesn't have to be in light that much. It goes into power saving mode at night and stays there if you don't bring it into the daylight. So you can leave it in a drawer for weeks. On my wrist, even with long sleeves, it still manages to stay fully charged to "Hi" most of the time. Remember, too, if it does die, it will set itself with the radio when it charges up again.
2. The radio reception does work, but you do have to experiment with where to leave it at night. I just kept putting it in a different spot on my house each night until I found a spot where it was consistently getting the time overnight. Remember that weather affects this too, so try a few nights in each spot, and don't worry if it misses a night once in a while. You really don't need a set EVERY night. It will keep accurate time for a long while between setting itself to the radio.
3. The light is a slight disappointment in that it does NOT illuminate the digital sections. You get the time from the hands, but no date/day/etc. Hopefully you know what day it is. :) For my use it works fine. I usually have my cell phone if I need more than just the time. However, if you compare this to an analog watch with glow in the dark hands it is wonderful. I find the glow in the dark hands to be next to pointless on all but the most expensive diver's watches (and I don't own one of those). The light works great on the hands and it works every time and any time.

(Great watch; one minor quibble) 『I anguished over the choices for solar watches for quite a while. I read tons of reviews and checked out several options in stores. I finally settled on this Casio G-Shock and am very happy.
The first cool thing about this watch hit me when I took it out of its box after getting it from UPS: the hands immediately started twirling. When the watch notices that it is in the dark for several hours, it goes into powersave mode and shuts down the digital displays, but keeps the analog hands moving. After several days, the hands move up to the 12 o'clock position and it essentially goes into a sleep state. As soon as it is exposed to ample light, it wakes up and starts keeping time again. As a result, when I received the watch, it was fully charged despite not being exposed to light for months. Note that you can also turn off powersave mode.
I live on the East coast in a house with tons of tall trees all around it. Even in this setting, I have found a few good locations in my house for syncing up to the time server in Colorado. The watch dealt with daylight savings time just fine and keeps good time. The stop watch and countdown timer are easy to use
Minor quibble: I wish the hands were glow-in-the-dark along their entire lengths instead of only at the tips.
