(The Tinker is almost perfect for daily use)
『My first Tinker model was a black one-- brought to me from Switzerland in the 80s. I used it for years before finding a red version in the US-- at a Surplus store. I have other models, but the Tinker is the only one I carry on a daily basis. I use it, every single day. It has no attachments that I don't need (scissors, corkscrews etc are nice, but I don't *need* them) and its small enough that I don't feel like I have a brick in my pocket. Tweezers are great for picking up tiny lost objects or splinter removal, and the leather punch is a great awl. The only difference between my Swiss version and the "American" (both Victorinox) is that the Swiss one has a Philips head driver with a horizontal "slot" gap in the tip. That allows it to pinch into a smaller head, while the non slotted one is a fixed size for only larger screw heads. I when I found I could get the Tinker in the US so easily, I put the original in my locked box so I don't lose it. Its a super knife, and I am the hero at the office, at parties (I can open the most complicated packaging easily) and anywhere I fine a loose screw, dull pencil or use for a toothpick (which you can buy in replacement packs). I'd give it 5 Stars-- if this version had the slotted Philips head like my import. I own three in all-- black, red and engraved clear blue. [...]has 4 colors&can do the engraved ones, but they're a few $$ higher.』

(Reliable Quality)
『This is about the 15th Victorinox knife I've bought. I (we) still have them all and they are in fine shape. (I have a wife an four kids, hence the large number of knives of various models.) I like to purchase Victorinox knives because I can count on the quality. I've tried buying other brands with very mixed results. Even my oldest Victorinox is still in great shape after 26 years. They come sharp and hold an edge well even though they are stainless steel as opposed to high carbon steel. The Super Tinker, Tinker, and Classic are my three favorite models. The kids get a Tinker when they start scouts and they get a Super Tinker when they get their Eagle rank (of Silver Award in the case of my Girl Scout).』

You're not MacGuyver. You won't save the world with your Swiss Army Knife.

This little baby is perfect for the little girls, or IT tech types, in my life. They can keep the larger one in their purse, or pocket protecter, then attach the smaller one on their key chain. Those tweezers are perfect for plucking their eyebrows, or clipping onto their joints; and then they can call me, a real man with man's tools, to come along and jump start their cars, change their flats, change their light bulbs, open their jars, and spray WD-40 onto squeeky stuff.

All kidding aside. My niece loves her's. She simply does not need all of those other things that come with the other tools. This narrows it down to a few simple things that she will use. A small blade for opening mail. Little screwdrivers for battery doors. Everybody needs a bottle opener. She loves the large blade for cutting big sandwiches in half since she simply can't finish those giant deli combos. Her favorite part is the little scissors.』

『I got this band and at first thought I was going to return it. I thought this because the band had a little more resistance than I was planning for, but after a while it gets warmed up and starts to release a little bit of tention. Just make sure you get the right strength when you buy, since the medium is a little tighter than I anticipated. Over all, I give this product a good rating』

(A good training addition)
『How can you go wrong with resistance bands? They all break at one point or another if you use them regularly--so that's why I purchased this one (to replace the last two I purchased at Filene's Basement which broke from serious usage). If you are a woman I strongly suggest you do not buy the blue like I did... way too strong for me; can hardly do bicep curls with them.

I gave 4 stars because the cord takes some self tuning (it coils a little and doesn't grip well under my shoe when it's pressed to the floor). I guess in time I'll adjust to it, but I definitely have to buy a different color because the blue is limiting in exercise options due to its heavy tension. Also, the door attachment is a bit misleading in what you think it might be. You actually place it halfway inside the open door space and then close the door so the loop sticks out... problem with that is: I'm afraid that the 'knot' part inside the closed door will snap somehow and pop out--thus injuring me in the process (probably totally in my head but it's a scary thought for me nonetheless).』

(grandson loves his new bike)
『My grandson who will be two in one month loves his new bike. He is tall for his age so he can reach the peddles, but he is not able to actually ride it yet . He has not ouite figured out how to push the peddles correctly to ride. Any day now he will put it together and take off riding. Meanwhile he is having fun sitting on it , being pushed around ect. We are very happy with the quality and the look.』

『Definitely a cool trike. Got it for my son's 2nd birthday and he initially had trouble reaching the pedals (and he's a tall guy - at the 90th percentile for height), but enjoyed pushing it with his feet on the ground. Now that he is three, I've observed that he does have an easier time pedaling other trikes - I'm not sure if it is the air tires or the "low rider" build of this trike, with the pedals more out in from of him rather than under his body. I like that it is low and hard to tump over. It has put up with some abuse and still looks great! Tires seem to slowly leak air requiring fillups every few weeks. There were also a few scratches on the wooden piece (when it was brand new) on the back that I probably could have called and gotten replaced, but never got around to that since it had no impact on function and I knew my little guy would eventually be playing hard on it!』

『I bought this item to replace a Nike heart rate monitor. I don't like the Timex much because it's less solid than my previous watch (plastic feel) and has a lot less flexibility/fewer functions. It does estimate how many calories you've burned. If that's all your after, it could be a good choice.』

If you're looking for something that will keep track of your progress, look elsewhere as this monitor only deals with one workout at a time (if you start a workout, the previous session details erase). Also, if you have small wrists, the band may be too large for you. I wish this one had one more hole...』

(Great monitor!)
『I bought this heart rate monitor a few weeks ago to help aid my workouts. Personally, I was most interested in the calorie burning feature. I picked this monitor because I have had good fortune with other Timex products, the reviews were good, and this monitor allowed me to put in my weight for a more accurate reading.

Overall, I really love this product. I am able to use it for my own interests, and appreciate that there are tons of other options that I can utilize if I decide to do so in the future (such as alarms for going below a certain heart rate). I have had no problem getting the sensors to work, and have no other issues with the watch.

The only reason this isn't a 5 star review is the lack of instructions. The instructions are very step by step for most settings. However, the manual does not tell you how to set your weight. I am not all that electronically inclined, but I was able to figure it out after fiddling with the buttons for a few minutes. If I remembered what I did, I would post it. I think I had to hit the recall button. Anyway, it didn't end up being that difficult to figure out, but it is a problem.

『I bought this for my 8 year old daughter who loves it! But the tire went flat and trying to find somewhere to fix it was extremely hard. Razor customer servince via online was terrible. The phone stayed busy. So good luck with that part.』

『When we went to the store, we weren't looking to get little Jeremyna a motorcycle, and thanks to this, we still don't have to worry. The little scooter does move quickly, but the uphill for her kind of taxes the motor and drive train. She is on the edge of 150 pounds, so that might have something to do with it! She has to Fred Flintstone it up a hill. :)

But it is so quite, especially when she is jabbering on about Hannah Montana and the like. Oh, that Jeremyna! She hooked up a little Red Ryder to it, and she pulls around her little pet Maia wherever she goes! That fast little Jeremyna!

I suggest that you go with a bright orange flag and if you are like our Jeremyna, a sturdy set of elbow and kneepads. Because our little one is a little accident prone. Clumsy little Jeremyna!

Razor makes a sturdy product, and it is great for the sidewalk (at low speeds) and unbusy roads. No stunt driving for this little rascal, though. It can't handle the ramps. (reckless Jeremyna)』

『My 12 year old daughter was the envy of the neighborhood when she got this scooter. She wanted the razor 300 but I got this instead. She said it's so much better. The lighter you are, the faster it goes. My 195 pound husband even rode it. My 8 year old is jealous and wants one as well. I think Santa might surprise him with one.

It holds a long charge, approx. 45 minutes, longer than most scooters. It goes 10 - 15 mph depending on your weight. But it's not too fast for my 8 year old.

It also has a compartment under the seat for storage, you know, in case your son or daughter finds a frog or something!!!

We have owned ours for a year now and it's still in perfect condition. That's why we will own a second one soon.

『The advantage of the Thera-band is that it's small and portable. I can throw it in my suitcase when travelling. I use it for strength training and therapeutically for stretching.』

『This was recommended by my Orthopedic MD to help supplement the work of a licensed physical therapist. He says he's has consistently good reports from patients who have used it, and that the only place he knew you could buy it was through Amazon.com. On seeing it, my physical therapist recognized the brand, but was unfamiliar with the device. After testing it and reviewing the various exercises in the brochure that accompanied it, he confirmed it would aid in strengthening muscles between PT visits and recommended several specifically that would be helpful in my particular case. He even decided to order a couple for himself to use in his practice. This is so simple it can be used while watching TV.』

(What's up with the "free" basemap?)
『The Garmin products are very good but their business plan is to squeeze more money out of us for the maps and charts. The base map that comes loaded is ridiculous - they must have made it bad on purpose. The result is a nagging feeling that we are being taken advantage of. Get with it Garmin - you could be building loyalty in customers but you are creating ill will.』

『After researching several handheld GPS devices - we bought the Garmin eTrex Venture. We've only used it so far for geocaching and it's worked extremely well - can get us to within a few feet. It's sometimes slow to pick up the satellites when it first turns on - otherwise, no problems. You're supposed to be able to download geocache coordinates from the geocache website to Garmin GPS units - we haven't tried this yet.』

『I finally used this for the first time to find a geocache. Turns out, I chose one of the hardest ones to find (a micro multi-cache) and didn't make it past the 1st location but at least I was able to follow it quite easily. Inside, I was concerned about the screen contrast and brightness but outside in the light, I was able to see the screen ok without it being lighted. I am a bit concerned about the battery life. Time will tell. I bought 4 NiMH rechargeable batteries to use with it. From time to time I take it out of the drawer and turn it on. It didn't seem like the batteries lasted too long before it told me battery low. I haven't used it enough to tell how long the true battery life is but I want to take it hunting to find the blind and the car. It wouldn't be to cool if the batteries gave out. You usually walk to and from the blind in the dark so the lighted display will be used a lot. Accuracy finding the first geocache was to 14'.』

『My 11 y/o received this from his big brother. We had previously decided to make sure all of his gifts kept him outdoors. He LOVES it. It's very sturdy, unlike some of the less expensive pogo sticks. Even our older boys get on this and it handles their weight just as well. The rubber bottom has not worn out unlike our last pogo stick. It may be a little heavy for beginners but it doesn't take much time for even the youngest to get the hang of it.』

The first unit we received had a few flaws - the rubber pad on the bottom was skewed, and after one day of usage there was a streak of greese on the stick below the footpads. Fortunately - Amazon replaced the unit quickly, including shipping costs and so forth.
