Core2Duoノートレビュー 's review (Gorgeous watch! Beautiful styling.) 『Let's get this out of the way: this is a BIG watch. For those who don't like big watches, stay away from this one. It has to be the largest watch I've ever owned. It's like a miniature wall clock on a band.
That said, I love big watches. I like the heft and feel of them, and they get noticed. Watches are, to some degree, the only universally acceptable jewellery for men (one could argue this point, of course), and while some wear watches strictly for telling time, a watch can be much more than that. It can accentuate the fashion choices you've made. It can catch the eye and get noticed. They can be conversation pieces, symbols of your wealth, or, of course, purely utilitarian methods by which you have the time visible on your wrist easily and without requiring anything more than a glance.
The size of this watch, and its lines and form make it a striking piece of visible jewellery to wear, and will certainly complement any business casual or semi-casual clothing choices. The rugged leather band and automotive look will also nicely complete a more casual and relaxed attire.

(My first casio G-Shock. I love it.) 『This is great product. G-2900 is my first G-shock watch, so really can not compare with other G-shocks. Well, first of all I have purchased G 9000 1V from Macys, and then returned it. G 9000 is also great watch, i have returned it for only one reason and it has more sporty / outgoing look, I love that look thats why I purchased it and then suddenly realize that it wont go to much of my office-ware.
Now again back to G-2900.
Likes: 1) It has 10 yr battery life. some review says after replacing battery (opening watch) sometime it loosed its water resistance. so I thought of purchasing longer battery life. I am using it from last 3 months ;). Lets hope battery runs atlest 6-8 yrs. 2) I can store important numbers in internal memory. I ofter forget my cell phone at home / car /gym and not good to remember phone numbers. So internal memory helps me.
3) It has 4 regular alarms, 1 SNZ (snooze) alarm&1 SIG (my fav) alarm. good part of 4 regular alarm is it can show 3 letter description on screen. so I put sometime "gym" 7:00 pm. when alarm turn on at 7:00pm it show 3 letter only "gym" on screen. SIG is my favorite. When it turns on it beeps twice every hour. Sometime in office you don't see time regularly. but SIG remind every hour and I can get back to my work.
4) While driving a car in night, "Auto EL Backlight with Afterglow" feature is very handy. You just need to move your hand 30-40 degree up and BackLight glows automatically.
DisLikes: 1) Backlight only turn on for 1-2 seconds, which some time annoy me. Many times in night I forget to set up alarm. And then there is no feature (or I dont know how to turn on yet) that turn on back light for longer time so I can set up alarm. Same thing happen while driving a car in night if I want to setup timer or see world time back light only glows for 1-2 second when I move my hand upwards but can not see much in that duration.
All over its great watch. I love it. I fully recommend it to buy. I bought it from kohls. So no comments on how amazon handle shipping / returning / warranty and all. 』
(It is a great watch.) 『This is my second casio g-shock watch. My last one lasted for about 8 years and the battery died. The only reason I decided to buy a new one was because the old one was showing it's age. I expect this one to last just as long or longer.』
(Simply does not get any tougher than this......) 『I bought this watch in 2003 as I wanted something which could take a beating, as my previous Casio had a band which broke.
This watch has a few things which make it stand out for me from the other standard G-Shock watches on the market. It has an edata memory system which allows you to store things such as passport numbers, phone numbers etc. This is very nice when traveling, since you don't always need to pull out your passport, and has proved very handy indeed. It also has a 10 year battery which has the original 2003 battery in case anyone wondered whether this was truly a 10 year battery. And please note, that I used this watch every day as my sole alarm, making it all the more impressive. One of the watches I was considering was an altimeter watch.....some of those have batteries which last only 9 months or so.
The band of the watch is a double closure band and takes some getting used to, with the the inner being velcro and the outer being a plastic latch. If you get it wet, it will remain wet; this can be an annoyance in cold weather, admittedly a small annoyance.
Definite 5 stars for a watch which could take any kind of beating one could imagine.』
(Smaller/sleeker version of the old G-shocks) 『This watch is smaller in diameter and sleeker than the monster G-shocks of a few years ago, although just as thick. The display of the seconds and date could be a little bigger. It's readable, just smaller than it could be. Buttons all work smoothly, band is comfortable although it could be a little longer. If you have fat wrists or want to wear it over a wet suit, you might have a problem.
Otherwise a great watch. One month and no problems. I just wish they would get rid of the gimmicky graphics. I loved it, but due to my age and back, I decided to replace all my old heavy gear with newer, lightweight items. Price and weight were my two concerns. I researched Snowpeak, Brunton, and Primus, and found the price was more than the Coleman F1, and the other stoves had from 8,000 to 11,000 BTUs. This stove has 16,400 BTUs and weighs only 2.7 oz. I ordered from Amazon, and am so glad I did! Two cups of water for my Lipton pasta reach a rolling boil in under two minutes, then I reduce the flame to a light simmer for a few more minutes. Boil time for 1 liter is about three minutes. This stove performs amazingly, easy to use, great flame adjustment, little boil time, and packs down to a 2 inch pouch. What more could a camper want?』
(has a design issue) 『I really like the small size and weight of this stove. It is simple to operate and reliable. However, to break it down, you unscrew it into two pieces. I have had a problem where there are actually 3 pieces and the wrong two get separated such that the 3 prongs are stuck in their separated position, and now after some use it will not separate at all because it is siezed at the threads. This means it no longer packs small and you run the risk of bending the prongs. It is still functional, but does not break down properly. I have not been able to fix this problem. 』
(Great little stove) 『Great stove, glad I got it! My scale actually weighs it at 2.5 oz (specs state 2.7 oz), and the nice little reflective sack (easy to find in the dark) it comes with weighs 0.25 oz. Boil time seems faster than the 3 min 40 sec listed, I'd estimate on the calm days it took about 2.5 minutes to boil a liter in my broad-based Primus teapot, and on a windy/rainy day closer to 3.5 minutes. Was stable with the teapot on even on windy days. Can't use with a reflective wind-breaker due to it having a plastic part, but worked well with a log wind-break. Fast set-up and take down, fits inside my teapot, lights on the first try every time, used less fuel than I planned on, and the Coleman fuel canisters are self-sealing with no risk of leaking in your pack. I'd highly recommend this to a friend!』

(Great super lightweight stove) 『I bought this stove a few weeks ago for a backpacking trip in the California Sierras. We used the stove twice a day and it worked great (one match to light every time even in windy conditions). The stove is unbelievably light and fits in a tiny sack which can easily be stored inside pots and pans for protection. It is also surprisingly stable considering its' size. The manual says the stove is compatible only with Coleman propane/butane canisters but it will work with any propane/butane canister. I used the MSR brand. I used one 4 oz. cannister in four days (7 meals plus boiling water for tea, hot chocolate). In summary, this is a great product for a great price. Purchasing the Exilim, I wasn't looking for a camera to take photos with since nothing can beat the Canon Digital Rebel XTI already in my posession. I purchases the Exilim for it's ability to record high speed movies for slow motion playback. Thus far I'm impressed. It is astonishing to watch simple, every day things in slow motion.
I do have an old nikon camera that is completely useless due to the fact it is a nikon. I should record myself smashing it with a hammer in high speed, so that I may post it online to show what it looks like when a substandard camera is broken in slow motion. Every detail of the epic wonder will be captured in stunning detail. I can then record HD video of my personal feelings on the matter afterward. I will have no remorse, I promise.
With all of that said, the photo quality is pretty good, and the camera takes fast pictures. No lag time recording to the flash card at all. It's also amazing to take 60 photos in 1 second. Astonishing. The abilities of this camera far outweigh those of ANY nikon on the market. It's absolutely astonishing.
If I had the choice between a nikon with $10 Million and a Casio, I would choose the nikon, purchase another Casio, and record myself smashing nikon cameras all day, every day, for a month solid with the higher quality Casio.』
(Amazing camera) 『I find this camera to be extremely good for a consumer type camera. If you don't need super high resolution, this camera is very adequate. The 12X optical zoom and large lens just blow away most digital cameras. The slow motion (high speed) video is very good at 300fps. At the higher speeds (600 and 1200fps), it does take a lot of light to get good results and the resolution is OK, but not great. However, I have found that most outdoor sporting / action type activities are very well suited to 300fps slow motion video.』
(Very techno geek camera) 『It comes with a 150 page manual. In readable (mostly) English. A zillion options. One very nice feature, you can program it to remember most settings. If you want the flash to stay off (which I need most of the time) you can set it to do that, even if you turn it off and on. It seems to have good sensitivity, the image stabilizer works quite well.
As a still camera, about average. As a video camera, a lot for the money. It shoots normal video, HD (1080p, 60 Hz) and fast video, up to 1200 fps. Low resolution above 300 fps, good for things that go bump, not for fancy presentations. The 30-300 fps adjustable setting is not so convenient, you have to set the frame rate each time you shoot. It should be programmable. The 300 fps fixed setting has a resolution of about 512x390, good enough for most sports work.
A comment on pixels. The Ex-F1 has a 6 Mp sensor. You can get a lot more than that for less money, but it's more marketing than real. You have to look at the sensor (CCD/CMOS) size. Real world lenses are limited to about 100 line pairs per mm in what they can resolve. Based on the specs for the Ex, it tries to get 200 lp/mm. So, not real. My little Olympus P&S is over 400 lp/mm. You just can't get there. Fewer pixels for a given chip size usually means better light sensitivy. That helps more than anything else.
For my use, mostly in sports, a very good compromise. The CS prerecord mode is very good. You can get 60 full resolution frames before you press the shutter. It stores them in internal memory and saves after you press the shutter. (Great little lantern for backpacking, not a powerhouse...) 『Purchased in mid 2005, my Exponent F1 Lite lantern performs the expected job quite well. Build quality is exactly what I expect from Coleman products. The design was simple and straight forward.
Once the lantern is ready with a burned in mantle, use is very simple. Remove lantern from protective pouch.Screw onto fuel canister, strike match, twist fuel knob, light, adjust brightness.
The lantern is light enough that it is worth carrying on backpacking trips where you need general area lighting that a flashlight simply will not provide. Ultralight backpacking purists will turn up their noses to this, but then again, they probably won't like that I bring a deck of cards with me either because it is too heavy...
If you are expecting the lantern to trow out the same amount of light as say a 2 mantle propane lantern, you are in for a RUDE suprise. But it DOES put out the same light as a single mantle propane...
And speaking of mantles, and the reason I give this thing only 3 stars. I do not regret buying this, and love using it, but the burn in on the mantles is a pain in the [...]. The globe must be off of the lantern to burn in the mantle, and you must be VERY careful while pacing the globe onto the lanter with a new mantle or you will break it. And of course mantles tend to break very easily... BUT, having said that, once the mantle is dealt with, this thing is a joy...
Summary? If you need light for an area, say to read by, or to play cards with friends by, this is a good device to own, it is nice and light, and it works well. And the actual alignment changes inconsistently throughout the day. Though this problem may be common to all quartz watches, this watch is too much way off the chart. Got a replacement from Amazon today but it also has the same problem! Looks like the whole batch is like this. But, anyway, I'll keep it for everyday use and as a reminder that I will not buy another quartz again. 』
(chronograph function is very limited) 『Jacques Lemans Men's Sports Suzuka Chronograph Watch #1382F This watch looks quite good but the timing functions are very limited. The watch can only time up to 60 minutes then it resets to zero. There is no way to time beyond 1 hour. The upper right dial is totally wasted, as it only displays 24 hours in 20 minute increments. It has nothing to do with the chronograph aspect of the watch. It is only tied to the time function. The markings on the upper left dial which show elapsed minutes have no larger ticks to show 5 or 10 minute marks. It can be quite hard to read how many minutes have elapsed. If you want to replace the metal band with a rubber wrist band, the tangs measure out at 24mm which may be hard to find. The large second hand is a sweep second hand and is not controlled by the chronograph function. The chronograph aspect of this watch is not very well designed.』

(The Tag Heuer F1 Is a Classic Timepiece) 『The F1 Tag has been around forever, and unlike some other Tag styles (which have come and gone) it's a classic. Many other watch manufacturers have copied it. Along with the Link series, I would say this is one of the most popular Tag lines. I admit it's not a dress watch per se, but the latest incarnation is very sharp and one can wear it with a suit. Quality is top notch! I believe the black chronograph is the best of them' all.
This is my first watch purchase from Amazon, and you cannot beat the price. A very well known watch store by me was at least $350 more (plus tax).
