(Delve deep into breed life with Jacob's story)
(Missing something)
(More plot--a little less sex!)
(21st Century Woman) I had a little trouble getting into this one. I'm a fan of all Leigh's breed books but this one didnt seem to have to much of a plot. I felt like I was reading a porn which is ok to a point. Toward the end I found myself skipping over scenes because it was just to much. I am not going to go into detail, I see this has been done quite well. I really enjoyed this book. Lora weaves a tail of believable characters with her breed books and Jacob is no exception. He is alpha, forgoing any formalities to protect his mate-whether she likes it or not. But Faith is not going to take this lying down, literally or figuratively. Read this book and find out what happens when alpha and stubborness collide. This book was a great addition to Lora's breed books, it is imaginative, original, compelling and enthralling. I believe the way Lora's mixes erotica and romance is very well done, not alot of authors can do this. I recommend this book.
Kudos Lora, keep them coming. Can't say I loved this book, not up to this author's usual standards. Tried too hard with the emotional storyline that just fell short. The hot language that I usally enjoy left me cold as it seem out of place. I just did not enjoy this, if fact, I put in down several times. That has never happened with a Lora Leigh breed series book. Can't actually believe I'm writing this--usually I'm saying where is the romance--how about another love scene--but it isn't so much that there was too much sex--as there was not enough plot...
The actually plot itself could have been written in 3 or less chapters--all the rest is Jacob and Faith screwing--and I mean screwing their brains out......
I do like the epilog at the end, it really got me ready for Aidan's Charity.... This is a refreshing detour from the other Breeds stories involving an Alpha Breed male and human female. Here we have two Breeds. The sex scenes are hot and erotic. The verbal sparing keeps you entertained because no Breed female should just lay down and fall for her mate after suffering years with the 'Mating Heat." This book was so hot I read it at least 3 times within 3 days before I went searching for my next Breed fix. Book 2 in the Wold Breeds series They are a new breed, a new race. Engineered rather than born, trained rather than raised, and their unique genetics have created more than one surprise... Jacob left Faith six years before, unaware that the mark he left on her also left her in an agony of sexual heat that never dimmed. Now Jacob and Faith are together again, but surprises lurk around every corner and dangers as dark and deadly as their very creation surround them in more ways than one. (Aiden's Charity)
(Pretty Good!) This book was one of the best books that i have read. it includes some of the old characters from the previous books. Please don't let it slip through your fingers. Somewhat similar to the Feline breed series, however, this book was shorter than I like. the series of breeds is very entertaining and you cannot wait to read the other books. I loved this book. The real hero of this book was Charity, who saved Aiden from dying the day before he was to be rescued from the labs. The big lummox actually thought of this as a betrayal. It is a wonderful story about the sacrifices we as woman make for our beliefs and loves ones. This book goes to show that you do not have to be the alpha male to be a star. Way to go Ms. Leigh. Aiden's and Charity's story was pretty good. I don't the its as good as Leigh's feline breed books but it was ok. There were parts that made me laugh and some parts that were so steamy I had to put it down and go find my husband LOL. If you love the series you will like the book. Book 3 in the Wolf Breeds series The forces of survival and destruction swirl in the darkest corners of men's minds. The nature of the beast cannot be harnessed, and survival is the purest of all instincts. Survival of the species itself goes soul deep. But can the human heart accept and adapt as easily? Can Charity bestow the love and the acceptance that has always been a part of her, to the man whose very survival depended on the hardening of his heart, of his soul? And can Aiden maintain that cruelty now, in the face of the sacrifices she made? Only time and nature can tell Rerations < Aiden's Charity (Wolf Breeds, Book 3) >

I just finished this book and thought it was awesome. I could not put it down. I was late for work trying to finish reading. I would love to be in Faith's position - WOW!!!
This is the first book I have read of Maya Banks and I will be looking for more.!! The crime story aspect of this book was not well developed, and really, all we're interested in is the sex and the relationship between the two protagonists, but I guess the author needed something to hang the story of the relationship on. Fortunately, it reads quickly. I thought the developing relationship was pretty well done, although not filled out for Gray, the "hero," and the writing wasn't as bad as some I've read. So yeah, I'd recommend it. Strong man, woman wanting to be with someone who will take charge and also take care of her. Gray Montgomery is working on the biggest case of his life. His best friend and partner Alex was murdered, and he cannot rest until the perpetrator is brought to justice. The Dallas police department has been working on it without any forward progress, and Gray decides to follow the lead Alex's father uncovered. He takes a leave of absence from the police department, and goes undercover in Houston to find out what Faith Malone knows because their suspect was last seen in the company of her mother.
After just spending a few moments with Faith, Gray instinctively knows that she had nothing to do with the hit on Alex, but stays in hopes of finding a lead on her mother. Gray finds himself incredibly attracted to Faith, but fights his feelings because of her involvement in his investigation, and he is afraid she couldn't handle his darker sexual tastes. Little does Gray know that Faith craves a strong dominant man. She finds herself thinking about him constantly hoping he is the man she has been looking for. When Gray and Faith finally give into their desires, and it is explosive.
Maya Banks became a must buy for me after Colters' Woman, and her subsequent books never fail to hit the mark. I am always excited to see what she has coming out next. This book was sexy, erotic, and thrilling. I am hoping to maybe see this developed into a series. It sure was set up to. Superb read!
This book brings out everything, tension, suspense, desire, and restrained but uncontrollable passion. It will grip you from begining to end. The chemistry between Faith and Gray is electrifying, the pace of the story is such that it is crying out to be made into a movie. Great writing. Have a look at Maya's 'For Her Pleasure' and if erotic short stories tickle your fancy, try Suzie Van Aartman's 100 Percent Erotica I loved this book!!! The journey that Faith goes on to find out what she needs and how Gray is there to help her figure it out. Throw in a little crime and lovin'. It's enuff to keep you warm for quite awhile. The secondary characters are amazing as well. I hope their stories will be told at later dates. Ms. Banks is indeed on my list of must haves. The author ofFor Her Pleasuremakes readers surrender to erotic romantic suspense. It doesn't get much hotter.
Dallas cop Gray Montgomery is on a mission to find the guy who killed his partner. So far, he's found a link between the killer and Faith, a beautiful stranger-and if Gray has to get close to her to catch the killer, so be it. And closer still when the killer makes his own moves on the vulnerable young woman. Rerations < Sweet Surrender >

(pleasurable erotic tale)
(Dangerous yet so succulent!) Ms. Small's latest installment in her "Pleasures" series introduces us to Annie, a widowed mother of five kids, aging from college to preschool. It is simular to the first book,Private Pleasures (Signet Eclipse) in that the protaganist is a mom on her own and fighting to keep things together for her kids. This book also brings back the Nora from book one. She acts as Annie's mentor through the changes in her life.
I was dissappointed by the lack of sexual tension in the book. While there were plenty of sex scenes there was none of the erotic pull one would expect from an erotica novel. In fact, some scenes were as short as one paragraph.
The language in the book was also off-putting for me. "Squealing," in deilight or for any other reason, brings to mind piglets, not excitement. Many passages read like bodice-rippers from 40 years ago.
I was also bothered by Annie's frequesnt reminders that she was doing everything for her children when, in fact, the book shows her pulling away from her kids. By the end of the book her most frequent contact with the children is over the phone or through updates from the nanny. Maybe that just bothers me because I'm a mom who's close to my kids, but I did find it troubling.
One thing I like about Dangerous Pleasures is that the heroine isn't the perfect 20-something with the right look, right body, right everything. She's a woman in her 40s with all the stresses that come with motherhood. Its nice to see a more realistic character in the starring role.
Overall, I don't think this book is worth the price. The story feels very superficial with no real emotional depth, The sex doesn't garner the erotic draw one would expect from erotica, and the plot is almost non-existant, with very little conflict to keep it interesting. Above all it reads like a little old lady's idea of a dirty book... granted, it's an adventurous old lady.
I'd recommend skipping it. In Egret Pointe, fortyish Widow Annie Elizabeth Miller raises five children by herself with no social life since her husband died in London. When her mom calls whining that her dad ignores her for golf, Annie knows this is an omen. Soon the high school calls to inform her that her two oldest Nathaniel and Amy are on detention; that is followed by the middle school informing her that her twins Lily and Rose are suspended. Finally her youngest stay at home Wills rejects the nap that Annie desperately needs.
Her corporate litigator sister Lizzie who knows Annie's "strength" façade hides a depressed miserable person, submits her name to a contest sponsored by Channel, a spa catering to female desires. Annie wins a week at the spa. She has the time of her life sexually and otherwise. Shockingly she is offered a position at the spa, which would eliminate her financial woes and her sexual abstinence, which she accepts. However, her family, especially her kids who depend on her, wonder how far will success and pleasure spoil Annie Elizabeth Miller.
The sequel to PRIVATE PLEASURES is a pleasurable erotic tale starring a fortyish mother of five who has no life of her own with the only person interested in her well being her sister. The transformation of Annie from only raising five kids to sex siren works; she classically displays defense mechanisms defending herself psychologically with initially altruistic and suppression states to altruistic rationalizations. She defends her changed behavior from a stay at home mom to BDSM and multiple-partners. Fans will enjoy Bertrice Small's fine character study while pondering the wise wisdom of teenage philosopher Amy that eventually you reach an age that sex does not matter (not).
Harriet Klausner What a great read--it totally took me out of the real world and into a fantasy world, all at the touch of a button. I really got into it and loved the way the story flowed. It was a hot read, don't get me wrong, but it was atypical erotica. So, yeah, don't let this one pass you up. I also liked Playtime. A new novel fromthe reigning queen of
erotica, romance, love, and lust. (Literary Times)

(Hidden Agendas- Best in the series so far.)
(Fabulous)
(Hidden Agendas) Kell, the hero, is by far my favorite of the Durango team. I just love that Cajun accent! But Emily, the heroine, is my least favorite. Her constant whining, for lack of a better word, and her inability to stand up to her father were irritating to say the least. But the suspense in this book was great! A definite recommended read. i love how lora leigh writes about strong dominate men and kell is all that and more.Yet the females are strong women out side of the bed room and submit at the touch of their men.I look foward to reading the rest of loras books. This book is the best so far in Lora Leigh's Tempting SEAL's series. It had just the right amount of danger, sensuality, and intrigue. What made it stand out from the other books in the series (excluding Wildcard) is the framework of actual love and caring between the two main characters, Kell and Emily. I loved that Emily was not another tall, blonde, stick-thin character and that Kell- ripped, hard, sexy man- still fell for her. Definitely looking forward to the next installment in the series. This was the first book I read in the Tempting Seals series. I LOVED it and can honestly say after reading all of the others that it is my favorite! I found the characters of Emily and Kell to be a perfect match. The characters were in depth (as are all of the characters in the Seal's series) and the sparks flew anytime they were together in the same room. I just recently discovered Lora's books and have read as many as I can get my hands on! I've stuck mainly with the Tempting Seals series and the Nauti boy series. Kudo's for wonderful characters with depth and chemistry. Did not like it, did not finish it and will not buy anymore of her books. Would not have used any stars but would not let me finish without clicking on one.
SAVING LIVES IS HISMISSION. Tough-as-nails Navy SEAL Kell Kreiger is the best there is at searching, rescuing, and taking no prisoners…yet even the rush of ever-more dangerous missions isn’t enough to satisfy him. Haunted by a tortured past, Kell seeks distraction in a secret world of dark intimacies. But when Emily Stanton, the one ray of light in Kell’s shadowy existence, is pursued by a ruthless drug lord, the rules of the game suddenly change—and Kell will have to go deeper undercover than he ever imagined...
SAVING HER IS HIS PASSION. Emily has loved Kell ever since her father, a prominent politician, rescued him from a brutal life on the streets. They were kids then, too young to act on what was growing between them…but now that Emily is ready, the handsome, headstrong SEAL has decided he’s no good for her. Ever since he rescued her from Diego Fuentes’ compound, Kell’s only duty has been to keep Emily safe. But Fuentes isn’t finished with Emily—or Kell. And to protect Emily, Kell has no choice but to lay himself—body, soul, and secrets—bare…and fight against evil with all his heart.

(So Disappointed!!)
(Wow!)
(Vulgar Waste Of Time)
(A Sexy Sad Truth) Its about the main character, Anna, in her point of view. She is the luckiest woman in the world. She has a loving husband, James, and wonderful home, and a life to live for. Suddenly James gets a phone call from an old pal named, Alex, from Singapore. His company was bought out and now he needs a place to crash so he can get his own company up and running. So James and Anna agreed. At first Anna doesn't really approve of the extra company. For one when James and Alex get together James starts acting unlike himself. But worst of all Alex becomes extremely attractive to Anna until they both hatch a plan to share her. But Anna starts wondering if there is something more to the both of them than just having alittle fun with her? I think this book was a cross between a threesome porn and a made up movie on Lifetime. An odd mixture of a woman dealing with her husband's weird antics, her families mishaps, and of course her own personal demons. I think this is a very good book to read and should be given a shot.
I've read two of Megan Hart's other books (Broken and Dirty) and really enjoyed them. I was excited and couldn't wait to get my hands on this book. I was so disappointed. I'm taking my copy to the used bookstore for credit. I loved this book; and simply could not put it down. I read the book in one reading staying up until 4:00 am to finish it. It's not typical erotica - it is so much more. I appreciate a book that can illustrate the complexities of life, love, and relationships and challenges you to evaluate your own relationships in life and why you make the decisions you make.
some have mentioned the ending is unsatisfactory. The problem really is that these readers don't want to face the fact that often life is unsatisfactory and there isn't always an easy answer, or neat wrap-up to lifes trials and tribulations. There is not always a happily ever after ending in life; so why shouldn't a book mirror reality? This book illustrates the complexities of relationships and the unforseen consequences of the decisions that we make. It's messy and it's painful and there are no clear cut answers to the dilemma that these three characters find themselves in. There was just no way for everyone to be happy at the end of this story. In fact, no one was happy. There were no winners. Both a long term friendship and a marriage were irreparably damaged by the consequences of the decisions these three people made. As the story unfolds, we see how other relationships in these characters pasts have affected how they currently view and handle relationships. We understand why they make the decisions they make in the end, and we sympathise and ache for each one of them. This book is master storytelling at its best! If you want a clean, neat, happily ever after book, read Cinderella. This is my second attempt to review this book. My first one was removed. I'm not sure why. I gave it a one star and only gave the first initial of word that was used repeatedly in this book (6th letter of the alphabet). I guess they didn't like the fact that I told it like it was. No other adjectives were used to describe their act, their thoughts or their casual conversation. That 4 letter word was the only word this author used. I was tired of hearing it (audio book). This is not good writing at all.
The best part of the book was the ending because I was finally able to get the junk off my Ipod.
Childishly written.
A BIG WASTE OF MONEY!!! I was hooked by the very first scene and had to see what would come of Alex's phone call revealing his soon-to-be arrival home. I felt besides the erotic scenes, which were very fun and descriptive, Hart put the characters together very well. Life isn't all butterflies and she created plenty of conflict within her characters to make it real. However, I do find it hard to believe that every single character had a different problem: love triangle, homosexuality, gambling addictions, pregnancy, affairs, alcoholism... while I felt the characters were very in depth, it was almost over the top and the book became almost deflating at some points with all the issues going around. Also, I felt Jamie's private issues with Alex went unresolved or untold. Besides these two things, I liked the ending. While normally I like a happily-ever-after to lift the spirits, life isn't always like that and I believed the book ended like it should (even though I was sympathetic for Alex who ends up alone). I'm glad Anne found her sense of self, and she knows its up to her to make the best of what she has. Not everyone is meant to live in a perfect menage-a-trois. Ah, well. I had everything a woman could want
My husband, James. The house on the lake. My life. Our perfect life. And then Alex came to visit. The first time I saw my husband's best friend, I didn't like him. Didn't like how James changed when he was around, didn't like how his penetrating eyes followed me everywhere. But that didn't stop me from wanting him. And, surprisingly, James didn't seem to mind. It was meant to be fun. Something the three of us shared for those hot summer weeks Alex stayed with us. Nobody was supposed to fall in or out of love. I didn't need another man, not even one who oozed sex like honey and knew all the secrets I didn't know, the secrets my husband hadn't shared. After all, we had a perfect life. And I loved my husband. But I wasn't the only one. Rerations < Tempted >

(3rd in a Really Hot Series)
(Great Book)
(wow)
(Heather's Gift) I'll just admit up front, this series wasn't among my favorites, but this might well have been the best of the lot. FINALLY we get some real insite into what makes the August brothers so confusing to us. I still don't fully understand the compulsion to share, but am finally able to accept it. Sam, the hero, was by far the most compelling of the August brothers. His journey to find some semblance of peace was heartbreaking at times, annoying at others. But it makes him the best of the lot to me. Heather, the heroine, has been the only female in the whole series that makes a serious attempt to get to the bottom of the whole story. And for that reason alone, she's got my vote for favorite heroine. The culmination of the saga of the August brothers was wrapped up well for me, with all three couples as happy as can be expected, given their circumstances.
This is the last one in the August Men series. Liked it the least, it was just ok. Yes the story is wrapped up, the bad guys are caught. Heather of course doesn't want to have sex with his brothers, but oh twist my arm OK. I was hoping for a last chapter oh, ok we are healed and we can all be with our own mates without our brothers. No that finally happens in an anthology Ms. Leigh does later. Still just a litte weird with all the sharing. Its like you can start off that way, but when your going for your happy ever after at the end, its time that the the main characters decide oh, I love you and only want to be with you. I don't know thats just me. Still love ya Ms. Leigh, your the best. Lora Leigh never misses, this is one of four of a series. Happy endings are great! I can't believe the book was that good. The story line at so many twist in. I could not put the book down. When the end it blew my mind away to find out what happened at the end. I loved this book so much that I have ordered the first two books of this series. Also will order the fourth of the August Men series when it is out. It held my attention from the first page to the last and makes you wish for more. This book was fast paced and full of action that makes you stay up late at night just to finish. Heather was strong yet very soft. I loved how she got tired of his game of his satisfation and leaving her high and dry and then followed him to the barn to take what she needed. So looking forward to books 1 and 2 for the details of the start of this series. Book 3 in the Men Of August series Will she bring the gift of acceptance, or will she break the bonds that have been forged through the fires of hell? Heather's job was to guard Sam's body. As part of the team assigned to the protection of the August family, she had taken her job seriously. Until a madman learned she was Sam August's weakness. Until the past rose with deadly intent and surprising secrets. Will Sam be able to deny his passion for this woman, or will the dark nightmares and sensuous desires that rage through them both be the cause of his destruction, and the destruction of the woman he loves?
