Unfortunately, I'm the type of reader who doesn't put down a book until I've read it entirely. While reading this book I found myself despising the writer for wasting my time. It happens to be the worst book I ever read. Pretty much anyone with motivation can sit down and write a book but not everyone has something worthwhile to say. This book apparently was written by a professional writer that was more interested in filling up a page and selling it than saying something worthwhile, something meaningful, something from the heart. And when it doesn't come from the heart, it isn't literature.』

This book and I, ah, our first night was magic. There was laughter, some tears, time and space became distorted, the line between reality and fiction frayed, and then a kiss... by an old decrepit relative whose relation has never quite been pinned down. Which is how this book opens.
Our love affair hit a good stride towards the middle; we were looking to the future and I felt we had really bonded. But I began becoming a bit bored with our relationship, began sneaking in other books behind the Angel's back. We carried on our romance as before but we both knew something had died. After a while, I just was waiting for the end.
When the end came, I felt good about our relationship; it was fun and definitely had its moments. I'd probably take it up again if I hit a cold spell.

Core2Duoノートレビュー 's review (Started out good but then became boring.) 『I liked the start of this book. The idea of the "Forever Bride" story is very beautiful and heart warming. I thought the plot of this story that the modern woman, Meagan, goes to Scotland to get married in an old church where the "Forever Bride" tale is said to have taken place, was unique. There she is suddenly flung back in time and ends up marrying, not her modern day fiance, but Robert Cameron, the Laird of Thistledown Castle. Robert has never met his bride to be so is shocked to see that she is not as young as he thought her to be, nor as innocent. He can't deny that he is attracted to her and tries to convince her that she is just as attracted to him. He soon realizes that she is not his real bride and together they set out to find the missing bride. The story is very good for a while and really held my interest but then it started to drag. I put this book down several times and it took days to finish it. I think the ideas of the book were good but not really brought to life. The characters were a bit lacking also. If you are a devoted fan of Donna Fletcher, you'll probably love this book. Those of us who have never read her works and was anticipating dramatic escapades, it was surprisingly bland and continually flat. I noted the storyline was heavy into messages against prejudice and preaching how one should look at life. I didn't find the messages overwhelming to the point of reader overload; the book just wasn't what I was expecting from reading the back cover. To give Remember the Magic its due, it did keep my interest. It was a pleasant tale and I enjoyed it, but I doubt I will look for more books by this author as I like my books with a more rousing storyline.
It appears Remember The Magic is a somewhat sequel to Wedding Spell. Just because Remember The Magic wasn't for me, it doesn't mean it wasn't a good book and should pass up. 』

Though Eileen pales compared to Sydney and Gwen, fans will appreciate Ms. Fletcher's magical charm.

All I can add to this is that I have never enjoyed a fantasy tale so much as I have this one. The sensual love scenes were amazing, the love story itself so very moving, and the secondary characters fascinating. Beatrice, Sydney's sidekick fairy, whose wings were off kilter and head wreath that would not stay in place was a total delight who always brought a smile to my face and the rest of the characters, I am sure had their own stories and I am on a quest to locate them. This is a book to cherish - pure magical enchantment and one that should not be missed.』

Core2Duoノートレビュー 's review (Quick and easy read, entertaining and thought-provoking story) 『I was actually surprised by this book, in that I enjoyed it more than I thought I would. I love time-travel novels and a friend gave me this one to read ... now I'm going to find more by the author!
I will say it was a very quick and easy read, with some depth and some very comical scenes. Some of the central themes about love and death made me think. I do think Kelly assimilated into 19th century life a little too easily. And that the 19th century people she interacted with seemed to take her bold and unorthodox ways a little too smoothly. However these issues didn't detract from my enjoyment of the story.
I especially loved Mammy Clara and Miss O'Days character portrayal of her ...what a rich and rewarding character. All in all, I'm gladI read it.
P.S. The story would make for a fabulous movie!』

(Read her other ones instead) 『I've been reading Constance O'Day-Flannery's books for a while now, and I always pick up every new one. But this one is a major disappointment! The characters are flat, too nicey-nice, and it's just really boring. I used to believe in the romance in her novels, but, in her last three or four, she's gotten too New Agey (and I say this as a native Californian) and has forgotten the basic principles of romance. Try her earlier ones instead, especially "Once in a Lifetime," which is really good.』
(Time After Time) 『An interesting attempt at looking at how a modern woman may (or may NOT) adjust to being thrown back in time 100 years. The main character spends a great deal of time railing against the concept of time travel and saying it isn't possible. A majority of the book is spent with the main character coming to "acceptance" of the situation and building relationships with other women in the time.
The actual romance is a secondary and minor plot. The male lead is not the focus of the character development and seems pretty flat. If you are looking for a story with a woman having trouble accepting her situation, this book is for you. If you're looking for a in-depth romance, this book misses the mark.』

This is actually a very early Elaine Fox novel and is not necessarily a contemporary story. This novel shows another side of Elaine's talent and is definitely worth the read. I enjoyed the story - the spunky heroine and a happy ending is always a good thing.』
(Pretty Good Story) 『Shelby Manning finds an injured man in a Civil War battlefield and he insists he is Lt. Carter Lindsey, Union soldier from 1862. Shelby takes him home and gets him medical help and decides to let him stay at her home until his "amnesia" passes. Shelby boyfriend "Rory' is not happy about the situation, but since it is not his home he can't do anything about it. Rory and Shelby have been dating for 10 years and he stays at her house one or two nights a week. He is a bartender and sometimes Shelby doesn't see him for days and he just shows up in the middle of the night. Carter is a gorgeous man and Shelby finds out he has a wife, or he thinks he does back in the 1800's and she may be pregnant. He says he needs to get back to her even though it isn't a happy marriage, he feels responsible. Carter gets a job with a landscaper who pays him under the table so he can earn his keep and as he and Shelby start getting to know one another, they start falling love. Shelby finds Rory with another woman and breaks off their relationship, but Carter feels his honor will not let him get involved with Shelby. Carter tells Shelby about some hidden jewels from his past that he hopes his wife will find so at least the baby will be provided for and then they discover there is a descendant of Carter's living in the same town. When it is discovered that Carter appeared during the Northern Lights he attempts to go back in time during another appearance of the Northern Lights but it fails. He really wanted to stay with Shelby but is afraid his guilt will eat him up inside. When a fire sends Shelby back to the past she discovers secrets that can save their relationship in the future.
this was a really great story but I'm only giving it four stars because there are some holes in the story that are never really explained. Why did Shelby go back to the past and what reason was there for the events that happened afterwards. To me there were just too many holes in the story, but it was still really good. Just not the best explained or entertaining time travel I've ever read』

Unbeknownst to her fairies hear her request and take over. She thinks it's just a joke but when she's transported back to the 1790's on the verge of her wedding she realizes it's not. If you want a quick enjoyable light read this is the one. There are some very humorous scenes with Elle trying to use her future knowledge to make life easier. The one scene where she's trying to ride side-saddle was absolutely hilarious. I started laughing so much I had tears running down my cheeks. The hero Henri tries very hard to be supportive and kind. He thinks she's a little nutty but is never mean to her. Also the ending when she tries to let her family know what happened to her was really great. Enjoy this book for what it is a light, funny, time travel. Suzanne』
(Be Careful What You Wish For...) 『"The Changeling Bride" is a very well-written time-travel romance. In this story, modern day Wilhemina (Elle) March is given a mysterious coupon "good for one free husband" by a homeless woman. When Elle decides to "redeem" her coupon, she finds herself (along with her dog Tatiana) transported back in time 200 years to rural England. Elle is switched by fairies with another young lady named Eleanor who is about to marry one Henry Trevalyan, an impoverished earl. The book is both sexy and funny, with some very funny scenes where Elle is trying to "fake" her way through a lack of knowledge of everyday life in the 1790s. Also, there are quite a few humorous scenes where Elle tries to introduce various modern conveniences (such as a flushing commode and playing cards with numbers) to her new husband.
The book has a surprising and touching ending.
This is Lisa Cach's debut novel, and the first one of her books that I have read. I highly recommend this book and look forward to reading more books by Ms. Cach. Lots of fun!』

(Fun and Entertaining) 『I loved this book for several reasons, the story doesn't make itself too serious. No one reads books about fairies and changelings because they believe them to be true. They read them for that fairytale, light entertainment that we know is pure fantasy.
Present Day: Elle is slightly overweight, kind of boring and believes she will end up the old maid aunt that everyone feels obligated to invite to holiday gatherings, but really don't think about otherwise. Her brother always talks about finding her a husband because he wants her to have his white picket fence domestic bliss he has. Elle is having a problem finding that perfect mate who has a nice house but doesn't want much from her. She finds the companionship of her dog the only company she craves. She makes a wish and wakes up in a dead girls body in England in 1790.
The Past 1790-Henry, the Earl of Allsbrook, decides to marry money to restore his crumbling estates. He makes a wish in front of his mysterious grandmother for a happy marriage.
When Elle and Henry marry, they both realize they got someone they weren't counting to get. They both seem torn between happiness in that surprise and fear of losing themselves to another. They can't deny their attraction and soon the only battle seems to be in admitting their is something magical going on here.
This book is humorous, sexy without being too overly done and just pure entertaining. I read it through in a couple of hours. If you're looking for light, fun entertainment, this is it.』
