(Read the last Highlander by Claire Cross)

(Don't waste your time and money!)

(Boring dialogue...)

(Entertaining time travel romance)
This book starts out okay but its both characters are from the past which doesn't work.
As a fan of time-travel books I'm wondering why I'm even giving this one star. There was no substance to the story just lots of fluf. I'm sorry, but there is no way someone arrives in the 20th Century from the 14th Century and takes everything in stride as the two main characters did in this story. How does Viviene get a paycheck without a SS#? AND she and Niall can read modern-day English with no trouble? It wasn't very realistic. Also, I don't like stories that make sure EVERYONE in the story has found a love in the last 5 pages!
This story contained some of the most boring and dumbest narration. It bored me and I skipped from the begining to the end and got the full sense of the story. Her other books were better.
In 1390 Britain, Sir Niall of Malloy loathes escorting prisoners to their death, but loathes it even more when a female requires his convoy, which is his present task. He accompanies Viviane to certain death for witchery. Viviane asks him to take her to see the Archbishop of Cantlecroft, but he cannot being a lowly dungeon guard. Finally, realizing her plight, Viviane wishes upon her father's stone to be as far away from where she is as possible. In a flash, she vanishes leaving behind the moonstone.

The Archbishop charges Niall to complete his duty. Before leaving, Niall says good-bye to his sister and her children. Meanwhile Viviane lands in 1999 where a local resident Monty Sullivan adopts her. Niall uses the moonstone and follows her into the late twentieth century. Viviane decides that Niall his her hero and savior. Soon Niall and Viviane fall in love, but he swore allegiance to a fourteenth century archbishop. Niall knows if he takes his beloved Viviane back home, she dies. If he fails to return with her, the honor he lived for would crumble and slowly kill him instead.

MOONSTONE is a fabulous time travel romance that will leave no doubt as to the standing of Claire Cross among sub-genre fans. Using magic to propel the fast-paced story line forward (and back), sub-genre fans and fantasy readers will gain much pleasure from the superb novel. Readers will embrace the intelligent characters. Their reactions to time displacement feel genuine as the Medieval travelers struggle with modern times and a twentieth century individual seems overwhelmed with the fourteenth century. The response of the cast turn MOONSTONE into a necessary read for anyone who enjoys an entertaining story.

Harriet Klausner
Setting: England, 1390, and contemporary British Columbia
Sensuality: 7

In 1390 England, Viviane is imprisoned for practicing witchcraft. Confident that the archbishop will believe her denial, she is stunned when she's led to the executioner without a hearing. Deeply disturbed by the young woman's fate, Sir Niall of Mallory grants Viviane's wish to hold her father's moonstone one last time. To his shock, the beautiful young woman disappears in a flash of bright light, leaving nothing but the moonstone behind.

Viviane finds herself on an island in British Columbia in 1999--but she believes that she's been transported to the legendary Avalon. Meanwhile, back in 1390, Niall swears to do his duty and recover Viviane. While retracing her actions, he triggers the moonstone and follows her across time. Unfortunately for Niall, Viviane happens to be onboard a boat and he lands in the water, his chain mail weighting him like an anchor. Rescued in the nick of time, Niall soon finds himself falling in love with Viviane, who believes that he's her knight in shining armor. The two lovers have a difficult path to happiness, however, for the evil archbishop has plans for them back in 1390 and they'll have to foil a dastardly plot and travel across time more than once in their struggle to live happily ever after.--Lois Faye Dyer

(Not my cup of tea)
I bought it beacuse it was a time travel book but was very disappointed. The heroine and those she went back to were too complacent and accepting. The story was not believeable or enjoyable.
Kristie Somers is happy in her life. She has a promising career ahead of her, grandparents who love her, and no time for a man. Or so she thought, until she was dropped in the year 1864 at the close of the Civil War. The handsome Union colonel, Eric Langston, was a man to be hated. Her grandparents told her so. Her family has despised him for generations. He commanded the Yankee regiment that invaded her ancestral home; he was responsible for Whispering Willows burning to the ground. Why then does her heart pound every time he enters a room? Why do his fiery kisses stir her like no man ever has before? And how can she just overlook the fact that she KNOWS he is destined to die an alcoholic?

(A fun and interesting read!)

(Beth has been transferred back in time. First thing that crosses her mind is this party sure is realistic.)
I find that time travel genres have to be written very well for me to fall into the plotline and believe. I wasn't so sure I could buy it when this story began: Beth Bouvier goes to a costume shop, tries on a dress given to her by a mysterious shop keeper, and in the dressing room, voila! She's transported back to the time of Henry VIII. But the utterly fascinating idea of ending up in King Henry's court reeled me in. For some reason, this main character has a hard time believing something has happened, and it takes too long for her to realize she's really been transported back in time. At the very least, I'd think I'd eaten too many mushrooms or someone laced my Kool-aid.

Nonetheless, after the initial jump through time, the story took off for me and the believability did as well. Beth meets Philip in King Henry's court then she recalls that they have already had an encounter--in the mysterious costume shop. Together the duo must keep from being sent to the chopping block and find their way home. Throw in King Henry's sudden obsession with Beth`s good looks and you have a great mix for adventure.

I felt like the research into the historical figures was very well done. It was fascinating to watch Ms. Pilz's characters interact with King Henry and his women. That is very brave writing. The details of everyday life are meshed in, but not overdone. I learned a little about the era without being deluged by cliché facts.

Another plus, Pilz does not use the common tools of the bad first impression and hero and heroine at odds until a black moment brings them together scenario. Not that there's anything wrong with that; it's the stuff of romance novels. Her choice to bring her couple together in their quest for survival and then let romance develop in natural progressive order is a nice change.

As the adventurous couple fights to survive in a cruel, unforgiving century, the storyline stays true to what would be reality. Of course, I would have liked to have seen Beth lose it and confront King Henry in a mad turn of events. I would have even liked their time travel costume shop hostess to have showed up, but Pilz uses no deus ex machine. We agonize right alongside Beth and Philip as they are taken all the way up to what appears will be their gruesome deaths. I had not idea how the ending would be resolved and that kept me up reading.

With Love, King Henry VIII is a fun and interesting read for those unfamiliar with the precise details of King Henry's reign. Pilz shows she has the gift to create well-plotted adventure, every day approachable heroines, and an unflinching flair for bringing history to life.

[...]

Beth C' de Baca Bouvier has to introduce her boss at the company business dinner. Not being a speaker is one thing, but to top it off, it's a costume party. Just want she needs.

Te Olde Costume Shoppe, Maybe they have what she needs. She passed out.

The date 1531, Beth has been transferred back in time. First thing that crosses her mind is this party sure is realistic. As she meets Philip Radcliffe, she remembers him from somewhere--the costume shop.

Now, the adventure begins. Come along on a fair journey as Beth tries to keep from insulting the King. Philip plays her bodyguard. Anne Boleyn with full-blown jealousy, along with her family, plot to get rid of her

As time goes on, Philip and Beth fall in love. They are both accused of treason and sentenced to death. Will they make it back to the 20th century before their execution?

You can not help but get a chuckle out of this story as you listen to Beth talk, forgetting she traveled back to the year 1531. This is a very good, sweet read with a touch of humor.

What Henry VIII wants, Henry gets. And he wants her ... Thrown back in time to 1531, mousy accountant, Beth C' de Baca Bouvier treads a razor's edge. King Henry VIII's romantic advances are not welcome, but she can't insult the king of England who is sending her love letters. Equally as deadly, the amorous advances make her a target of Anne Boleyn's ruthless jealousy. Nor can she escape the constant presence of the Lord Rochford plotting behind her back and watching her every move. Beth would much rather spend her days and nights in the arms of fellow reluctant time traveler, Philip Radcliffe. Her dashing companion tries to protect her, but when Lord Rochford accuses Beth of treason, both she and Philip are sent to the Tower of London to face the executioner's chopping block. Can they find their way back to the twenty-first century? Or will their love die with them somewhere in time?

(Excellent Fast Paced Time Travel)

(This was a Romance?)

(NICE TIME TRAVEL!)

(Tremendously Enjoyable)

(Elizabethan England lives!)
England 1999 - best friends, Olivia Lindsley and Alison O'Neill don 16th century costumes and enter a maze to meet others in their tour group would be playing parts in an Elizabethan revel! Who would have guessed that when they came out of the maze they would be taking part in history - namely England 1586!

Upon exiting, there stood Geoffrey Talcott, amateur scientist and younger brother to Lord Nicholas Talcott. Well, that is he stood for a second until he fainted dead away at the sight of the two women he immediately recognized as coming from someplace other than his century! Regaining consciousness, his first thought was he had to hide these two from his brother Nicholas and their royal guest, Queen Elizabeth but that didn't happen and with some quick thinking on Olivia's part, a plausible story was made up until they could figure a way out of this mess and Geoffrey figure out how to get them back to their own time.

There were so many delightful and exciting twists and turns to this time travel that used actual famous historical people in the plot. Both Olivia and Alison were wonderfully portrayed - Olivia fitting in quite naturally as she had assisted her father in Elizabethan historical studies, and Alison her very best friend and clearly a 20th century gal, not enjoying roughing it in 16th century England! Both would fall prey to the charming Talcott brothers, and heartbreak seemed to be in store for both should they ever find their way back. With the politically dangerous climate and old enemies exacting plots for revenge the bigger question was would they survive long enough to make it back or would their prescence upset and change forever the future, as they knew it. This was a very fast-paced time travel story, lots of intrigue, history, and sprinkled with a little humor and lot of heart.
I did something I've never done before I didn't finish the book. I skimmed it and never found any romance in it. I'm not sure what the other reviewers found but it wan't in my copy. I disliked the main hero and would have liked to have read more about the secondary hero although he did sound wimpish. the two heroines were ok but nothing special. I got bored with this almost from the first. I would not recommend this at all.
Just to make myself clear, 3 stars means that this is a nice book. Not a great book, but not a dud either. I enjoyed Olivia and Alyson. Also thought Geoffrey was a cutie. Nicholas, however, seemed to have trouble deciding what his personality was going to be from day to day. He was a cold, arrogant oaf who eventually degenerated into a needy puddle of mush. The ending is very well done, working out just right. I will look into other books by this author.
I loved this book. It was a great combination of romance and history. The author really did her homework in connection with the time period... and I learned a lot along the way. I enjoyed the contrast between the two women and the way their relationships evolved. One of them had a more "modern" sensibility, and the other seemed to feel very comfortable in the past.

What fun! Do pick it up.

I've read other books by Anne Kelleher, and she continues to get better all the time.
I thoroughly enjoyed Anne Kelleher's latest novel. I read many historical romances and honestly feel that Ms. Kelleher has a better grasp of the history and language of the historical periods about which she writes than the other "power house" authors of historical romance. This new novel is no exception, as she takes the reader seamlessly from 1999 to 1587. The characters are real and believable and she does a superb job of sketching 16th century England for the reader. You can honestly see the countryside and hear (and smell!) London, Dover, Calais, etc. If you enjoy this book, I highly recommend her previous work "My Once and Future Love" and "The Ghost and Katie Coyle". She ahs also written a sci-fi/fantasy series that begin with "Daught of Prophecy". Enjoy! I'm already anticipating her next novel!
When two best friends enter the labyrinth at Talcott Forest, they think it will be fun to pretend to be Elizabethan ladies. But when they finally leave the maze, they have traveled farther than they could ever have imagined-400 years into the past.

TIMELESS LOVE

After narrowly escaping death in the present, Abigail West mysteriously awakened in Salem, Massachusetts -- in the year 1692! She was suddenly living someone else's life, and as a self-supporting female she was viewed suspiciously by the hot-tempered townsfolk. Even worse, from the future she'd brought the last two things she needed -- a black cat named Familiar and a sexy gray-eyed man . . .

Sam Truesdale was honor bound to help prosecute witches in Salem -- but he also wanted to save Abigail from the gallows. The russet-haired woman had instantly stolen his heart, but she also kept insisting that Sam himself was from another century.

Did Sam dare believe that Abigail was telling the truth? Were they bothreallyfrom the future -- or had he merely been bewitched?

(Loved this book-- so I bought more copies for my friends!)

(Pleasant surprise.)
This book is one of those books you can't put down. If you love time travel and romance combined, you will love this!
It's fun to read a book when you recognize street names, landmarks, and small towns. This was hard to put down. What great comparisons are made between the 1890's and present day Hamilton County. Well done!!
I love to read, I read a book a week and I know when I've got something wonderful. Kurt Meyer made his characters very real. You actually felt what the people in the book felt. When a writer can make you laugh out loud when you are alone, that is a good writer. Why this young man does not have this book available in bookstores everwhere, I just don't understand. I would love to see this become a triligy!
I'm from Indianapolis and initially purchased the book because it centered around Noblesville, a community north of Indy. I thought it would be fun to read a book with some familiar sites I could identify with. Kurt Meyer surprised me with an interesting story that I couldn't put down. I highly recommend this book and purchased more copies to give as gifts.
Normally I am not a fan of science fiction or a lover of history so I didn't expect to be so taken with the story of a small town history teacher who slipped into another era. The author conveyed his interest in Victorian architecture without becoming pedantic and made the time warp seem almost believable. It was particularly rewarding that the ending of the story was not entirely predictable. The author successfully brought out the advantages and disadvantages of life in both time periods though it was easy to see where his preference lies.
A riveting novel about fatal attraction between two young lovers entangled in time. In this fresh contribution to our cultural legacy from the Hoosier heartland, protagonist David Henry, through a combination of technology and serendipity, steps back in time more than a hundred years.

David falls in love with Mary and the era she belongs to. Although sensing the tragedy of the fact that they are separated by a hundred years, David and Mary are too much in love to say goodbye.

Stardust offers a thought-provoking look at the dramatic changes in attitudes, morals and values that come with technology, advancement and growth while proving that regardless of the time period in which we live, love transcends time.

(An absolute keeper...)

(Delightful Regency)

(A definite keeper!)
I loved this book right from the start. It is fast paced, witty and kept me to my couch until the end. It was funny to read that Amanda - the time traveller - would have killed for a piece of pizza or a juicy cheeseburger. That she suffered through the realization that toilet paper had to be inveted yet, etc. I wished that Amanda would have used her knowlege of the future more to change everyday life, expecially when planning the restoration of "The Park" or in any other aspect of life, to better the position of women in society for excample. Her adaption into regency life as a woman without even trying to "meddle" quite a lot did not strike true to me. To be fair it has to be said that the book only covers about two months in Amanda's new life therefore there is not much that she could have achived. But I would have loved to read an additonal chapter like "10 years later" or so, just to learn what she did with her knowledge and if her husband learned to accept her as an equal partner. Nevertheless, the book is more than worth reading, so if you can put your hands on a copy - DO IT.
Ms. Barbour's knowledge of the Regency era is as solid as her power of reasoning. Both combined allowed her to create a believable time-travel story -- not an easy task for any writer. Fans of the conventional Regency romance will like this book and so will anyone who enjoys a well-plotted story.

This is indeed a keeper. I have it on my shelf.
RDP

I have read many romance time travel novels and only a handful are worth rereading. This book is one of them. It's truly a delight, and for once I was actually disappointed when the book came to an end!
Transported back in time to Regency London and into the arms of handsome Lord Ashindon, Amanda McGovern finds herself trapped in the identity of the innocent heiress Amanda Bridge and is devastated when it appears that Ashindon wants her only for her wealth.

(Profound and Positive)

(TERRIBLE!!!!!!!!!!)

(Absolutely Fabulous!)

(Dreamy book)

(fine time travel romance)
This book is a way to read about and learn about an amazing Native American tribe without having your heart broken the way it usually is in any story that involves these people. I really appreciated having a book that presents the joy, beauty, spirit, knowledge and ways of a Native American tribe without going into detail about the painful history of which we are all too well aware.

The author's fluid writing carried me from the mystical to the real and back again with never a hitch.

The love story was compelling, bringing together two very strong people and showing them fall in love in a gradual and realistic manner as their relationship grew through increasing challenges into abiding trust.

I particularly liked the way that the author expressed the mental awarenesses, the stirrings, longings, and whispers of our paths that we all have but sometimes ignore.

And finally, I relished the journey to the desert. I felt like I was there. I love desert beauty but have no idea how one would live there. I enjoyed having that experience through this book.

Finally, the author appears to be an impeccable researcher.

I have read every time travel romance book I can find. This one is awful.

If you want to read a book that is predominantly a native american language lesson, cookbook and plant lesson, then by all means buy it.

If you want a good story, save your money!

The description of the plants go on and on, how the plants are prepared for food (ZZZZZZZ) go on and on. The female character describes all the plants too. Who cares? There is so much indian native language you have no idea what is being said. There is a glossary. I don't want to have to look up words while reading a fictional story.

The characters are boring. There is nothing to them. The entire book goes no where.

This book will go into the trash when Im done. IT SUCKS!

This is a wonderful adventure between dreams and reality leaving
the reader wanting to track their own dreams.
Coyote is strong, amazingly tender, and if ever you're going to dream about a hero, he's the one.
Suzanne is the white bird he was destined to save both physically and emotionally.
Together they learn about loyalty, love and tradition. And together they learn that there are no physical boundries when it comes to the heart.

I loved this book!
"Dreamquest" is truly enjoyable. Beautifully written with dreamy characters. Janet Wellington's recipe for romance is perfectly told in this book with the right amounts of intriguing suspense and teasing sexual tension. This book will inspire you to keep track of your dreams-you never know, they just might be real.
It seems all her life Suzanne Lucas has dreamed of the Native American male or at least since she was five years old and a visitor to Anza-Borrego Desert State Park. Now needing to make an employment decision, teacher Suzanne decides to go on a vacation back to her favorite state park after the most intense dream yet. However, at the park after seeing an old man, an earthquake strikes, injuring Suzanne.

In the 1860s, Coyote treks to his favorite spot, Anza-Borrego Desert State Park, to get away from things, but an earthquake shakes things up a bit. When he reaches his oasis, he sees the injured naked white female. His grandfather informs him that Suzanne is the bird in the young warrior's dreams that he has envisioned for years. As Coyote helps heal Suzanne, they fall in love, but avaricious miners abduct his beloved trying to ransom her in exchange for the location of a legendary gold mine. Even if he succumbs to their demands, neither knows whether she will remain in the nineteenth century though if love is the ultimate force they belong together.

Time travel romance readers will enjoy Suzanne's trek. The story line is at its best when the two lovers are confronted with external enemies including stormy Mother Nature trying to bring Suzanne back to the future. The couple is a fine pairing, but has no strife between them as each easily accepts the other as their destined soulmate. Still sub-genre readers will appreciate Suzanne's journey for love and Coyote's acceptance that his cherished one was born over a hundred years from when they met.

(Loved this book, but...)

(Could have been SO MUCH better)

(THE TITLE SAYS IT ALL!)

(Good Choice!)

(Just in time)
I read this book a long time ago, and it stayed with me. Many years later, I wanted to read it again. Forgot the title of the book but with the help of readers and after a long search, I finally got it.

Onto the book.
I remember why I liked it so much, the first half was fantastic. It's time travel, which I like and rather well done too. This time the heroine drinks a potion that takes her into the future.

I really like Josh and Beverly and the chemistry between them was wonderful. His emotions and feelings for her are so honest. He's a constuction worker/bouncer at a night club when he meets Beverly, who literally pops up right in front of him and then disappers. Only to later reappear right in front of him again, on a sky high construction building he happens to be working at and nearly giving him a heart attack.
Belligerent as he is with the heroine, I like how he comes to her rescue, especially when he thinks she's cuckoo, talking about timetravel and saying she must save him.
Josh is the first half is dark, bitter and brooding and absolutely wonderful. And Beverly is a good counterpart to him.

The second part of the book is where the charcterization of H/H stumbles. Okay, the heroine saves who she's suppose to, and that this changes history, in Josh's case. From poor to wealthy, he's gone from alpha to... so not alpha. I thought the author should have allowed glimpses of the strong character the old Josh had to show through occasionally.
And the heroine became this feeble-minded person. I understand she was at a loss as to what she must do, since it seems this Josh doesn't remember her. But still, where's the back-bone she showed in the first half?
For me that was poorly done, hence the loss of a star.

Still, I love the book and enjoyed every bit of it.

3 1/2 stars, actually.
I ordered this book based on a reader's suggestion and the synopsis, having never read this author before. I had very high expectations and was let down some. I liked the storyline and I liked the secondary characters and their roles in the story. It was a unique plot that I thought could have been made into a really great book. Maybe if it had been longer or the whole part before Beverly is sent to the future shortened to allow for more h/h interaction it would have been better.

The h/h did not have a well fleshed out, developed relationship or enough interaction, and therefore, I as the reader, did not feel them falling in love. Instead of experiencing with them their tour of New York City and feeling their emotions building, we get a short narrative telling them what they did. Given this was an important part of the story that was supposed to show their developing feelings for each other and then the significance of that tour the second time around, I found the whole scenes insignificant.

The h/h fell in love too suddenly, especially when Josh had just gone to his previous lover looking to use her to get Beverly out of his mind. And Beverly was barely upset by it. Beverly, IMO, was too practical and emotionless. The wonderful plot would have had a much stronger emotional wallop if she had had stronger (or any) reactions to the adversities she faced. She was barely upset when she was sent back. She was not upset to have to say good-bye to her family and friends for good. She should have been scared witless to learn she was alone in the future and she should have been devastated to learn Josh not only didn't remember her, but was engaged to another. What the reader got was maybe a tear or two and the narrative telling us Beverly was panicked briefly.

All in all, I liked the book, but it could have been a GREAT book with more emotions and development of the main characters.

If you are a time-travel fan, then this is the book for you. It is not so far-fetched that after awhile you almost believe it could really happen. Josh (the hunky, biker/construction worker hero) rescues our 50's era heroine who has mysteriously appeared in front of him on a steel beam in the middle of a construction project 50 stories up! He takes her home with him to his run-down tenement apartment, where things heat up from there. Suffice it to say, that because of their changing history, Josh's life goes from poor orphan to a wealthy family who adores him. Beverly, who has discovered a lump that her doctor says is nothing finds 20th century medicine saves her life. And because she has seen the future, Beverly has an inkling of what will be valuable and can "invest" wisely in their future.
I loved this book! I normally don't read time travel books, but I have to say that this book changed my mind. I had a good laugh and have read it at least 3 times!
I thought the book was very good. Not very many time travel books go to the present. There was sexual tension but it wasn't the main focuse. One thing I would change is at the end, exploring there new relationship a little more becuse the book ended after there first kiss.
After visiting a gypsy fortuneteller who predicts she will save someone's life far in the future, young widow Beverly Newcastle finds herself transported from the fifties to the nineties, where she meets a dashing young motorcyclist.

(nice story but the sequel was better)

(Very Entertaining Story)
First off, I messed up and read An Echo in Time before reading Whispers Though Time. "Echo" is the sequel to this story and can be read alone but it helps to read this book first.

Kurt Richards was betrayed by his first wife. Since then he has had a hard time establishing a relationship with other women. At the beginning of the story he has been dating Charlotte who is in the process of breaking up with him. Like with his first wife, Kurt has put his job of working for the Department of the Interior first.

The Black Mesa is "home" of Kurt's passion. Kurt has made it his life's work studying the Anasazi people who inhabited this protected area many years before. Afraid of robbers carrying off artifacts, he decides to spend the night at the site. That evening he hears a woman crying. Thinking the person could be hurt he goes to investigate and, instead, falls into a ravine.

Upon waking he finds himself outside Cortez, Colorado in 1889. He meets Olivia Hamilton, a widow, who is soon to lose her ranch. The story continues with both fighting their underlying feelings while trying to save the homestead. Sam, a neighbor, also loves Olivia and wants to marry her. And then there is wily Sloan Durrant who is a banker up to no good.

A western romance that includes time travel, Whispers Through Time lacked a certain amount of passion that you would expect to feel between Kurt and Olivia. It seemed as though Olivia didn't know who she wanted. One minute she would remember the best of her deceased husband but was blind to hurtful decisions that he made. Then she was confused by Kurt, did she really believe that he came from the future? And what about Sam...he had always been there helping to make her life easier.

It is slow in some parts but you'll want to read this before taking on An Echo in Time.

Whispers Through Time proved to be well worth the time to read. You may wish to also order Sherry Lewis' book titled, An Echo in Time, since it is the sequel to this book.

We begin our tale with a fellow named Kurt Richards, modern man, who just ended another relationship. Or rather, SHE ended the relationship. He has had a string of bad luck in love, mainly because he is devoted to protecting the historical ruins of Anasazi at Black Mesa, Montana. While on a stake-out to catch looters, he finds himself swept off a cliff into another time.

He wakes up in the year 1890 and finds himself without a place to stay and nothing to eat until a widow takes him in as her hired ranch hand. He discovers he is very much attracted to the lovely, dark Olivia. But then, so is the neighbor, Sam Evans. And Sam is not too friendly with Kurt.

Olivia struggles to maintain the ranch and it's surrounding property left to her by her late husband, Harvey. Considered useless land for farming or grazing, she finds herself unable to pay the upcoming mortgage payment to the smirking bank manager, Sloan Durrant. And really strange yet, he wants to buy some of the so-called useless land up on Black Mesa! Something is up, and Kurt knows what it is. Durrant is after the legend of a treasure, but won't ever find it if Kurt and Sam have any say.

The characters are written with the characteristic warmth of Sherry Lewis, and the setting description is satisfying. This is a story that doesn't forget the plot for just romance. Enjoy!
Kurt Richards was trying to stop the looting of Indian ruins in modern-day Colorado. Then he slipped down a cliff face-and into the 19th century. Now he's trying to help a widow save her ranch. But can he save his own heart?

Praise for Sherry Lewis's A Time to Dream:
