Usually ships in 24 hours customer 's reviewThis is a hands-on practical guide to a large variety of topics and use cases. This book tries to use real-world examples when possible, but is not afraid to come up with a contrived pretext if it makes explaining the problem simpler. Unlike a lot of other books, this one does not try to maintain a continuous theme from chapter to chapter, such as demonstrating solutions on the same fictional application; doing so would be almost impossible given the wide variety of recipes presented here. Instead, this book concentrates on focused problems users are likely to encounter and shows clear solutions in a step-by-step manner. This book tries to teach by example and is not afraid to show a lot of code because, after all, it is for coders. This book is for current users of the Apache Wicket framework; it is not an introduction to Wicket that will bore you with tons of theory. You are expected to have built or maintained a simple Wicket application in the past and to be looking to learn new and better ways of using Wicket. If you are ready to take your Wicket skills to the next level this book is for you. Rerations < Apache Wicket Cookbook >

Usually ships in 24 hours customer 's reviewThe Apache culture of the latter half of the 19th century blended together the lifestyles of the Great Plains, Great Basin and the South-West, but it was their warfare that captured the imagination. This book reveals the skillful tactics of the Apache people as they raided and eluded the much larger and better-equipped US government forces. Drawing on primary research conducted in the deserts of New Mexico and Arizona, this book reveals the small-unit warfare of the Apache tribes as they attempted to preserve their freedom, and in particular the actions of the most famous member of the Apache tribes - Geronimo. customer 's reviewBook 2 in the Apache Warrior series first published by Kensington Books in 2008. APACHE PROMISE follows the taboo love between a Chiricahua Apache brave and a Baltimore belle in Southwest Arizona in the 1860s. Amanda Carroll was kidnapped from the stagecoach on the way to Tucson to make a new life for her and her sister after the death of their parents in Baltimore. After her Apache marriage to warrior Kayto, Cochise goes on the warpath, forcing Amanda to find her way back to her uncle in Tucson. Sad to leave Kayto behind, she is nonetheless happy to be reunited with her sister who has fallen in love with the gambler from her stagecoach days.
APACHE PROMISE proves that love happens in the heart when you least expect it. It knows no color, creed or race, but if allowed to grow, can conquer differences in culture, hatred, and personal loss.

customer 's reviewWhen a rugged stranger darkens the door of her family ranch, Martha Jean Flynn can tell right away that Ridge Longtree is nothing like the other cowboys who usually show up in search of work. In the eyes of this raven-haired, half-Indian loner, Marty sees a hint of danger, the depths of sorrow-and the tiniest spark of untold passion. And when tragedy strikes, the two must set out on a dangerous mountain trail, where they'll discover a love that threatens to set their hearts aflame. Rerations < Under Apache Skies >

Usually ships in 24 hours customer 's reviewEnhance your search with faceted navigation, result highlighting, relevancy ranked sorting, and more - Comprehensive information on Apache Solr 3 with examples and tips so you can focus on the important parts
- Integration examples with databases, web-crawlers, XSLT, Java&embedded-Solr, PHP&Drupal, JavaScript, Ruby frameworks
- Advice on data modeling, deployment considerations to include security, logging, and monitoring, and advice on scaling Solr and measuring performance
- An update of the best-selling title on Solr 1.4
In Detail If you are a developer building an app today then you know how important a good search experience is. Apache Solr, built on Apache Lucene, is a wildly popular open source enterprise search server that easily delivers powerful search and faceted navigation features that are elusive with databases. Solr supports complex search criteria, faceting, result highlighting, query-completion, query spell-check, relevancy tuning, and more. Apache Solr 3 Enterprise Search Server is a comprehensive reference guide for every feature Solr has to offer. It serves the reader right from initiation to development to deployment. It also comes with complete running examples to demonstrate its use and show how to integrate Solr with other languages and frameworks. Through using a large set of metadata about artists, releases, and tracks courtesy of the MusicBrainz.org project, you will have a testing ground for Solr, and will learn how to import this data in various ways. You will then learn how to search this data in different ways, including Solr's rich query syntax and "boosting" match scores based on record data. Finally, we'll cover various deployment considerations to include indexing strategies and performance-oriented configuration that will enable you to scale Solr to meet the needs of a high-volume site. What you will learn from this book - Design a schema to include text indexing details like tokenization, stemming, and synonyms
- Import data using various formats like CSV, XML, and from databases, and extract text from common document formats
- Search using Solr's rich query syntax, perform geospatial searches, and influence relevancy order
- Enhance search results with faceting, query spell-checking, auto-completing queries, highlighted search results, and more
- Integrate a host of technologies with Solr from the server side to client-side JavaScript, to frameworks like Drupal
- Scale Solr by learning how to tune it and how to use replication and sharding
Approach The book is written as a reference guide. It includes fully working examples based on a real-world public data set. Who this book is written for This book is for developers who want to learn how to use Apache Solr in their applications. Only basic programming skills are needed.
