(Intense Racing Fun!!)

『I had just rented the Speed Racer movie for my son, 11, and he really enjoyed it. Then he told me that there was a Speed Racer game for the wii. So I bought it (new) from one of the independent Amazon sellers for less than $10.

Let me say this: this is one exciting, very entertaining and well-designed game! If you saw the movie, this game is a faithful re-creation of the final race.
The graphics for the various tracks are near-3d realistic. You can use your wii controller to "shunt" a passing opponent racer by jerking the controller sharply to the left or right. When you do this, time slows down in the display as your opponent slides into the rails, or is sent flying off the track into the depths below. All through the race, your opponents "talk" to you as windows on the left or right appear on the screen, and the opponent's voice threatens you, or declares vengeance!

One and two-player modes, as well as single-race and Championship modes.

I can already see this game will not be collecting dust on a shelf, somewhere. It is going to be getting PLENTY of use!

Buy it... you won't be sorry!

『I got this game last year and we all played it so much we unlocked all the characters. My son became a pro stunt racer, he gets first place 99 percent of the time and mastered all the carfu stunts. Unfortunately a few months back it somehow got a huge scratch on it and wont work anymore. I plan on buying a new one soon. I also love the graphics, colors and smooth handling of this game. I often felt like I was actually driving down the track in real life. Very cool game!』

『The Speed Racer wii game is a champion like Michael Jackson. The game is awesome because when you get 4 boosts you can go really fast and the colors change on the screen. It is really easy to play, takes a few steps to learn how to "car-fu", then you can kick butt, without getting into trouble. The smack downs, shoving other cars off the road and flips are fun. I love Mario-Cart, but Speed Racer is more action packed so it's better. It's even easier to play on the wii than on the dslite if you have the wii wheel.』

(Nice calm gaming experience)

『This game is not for intense gamers. It's a calm gaming experience with beautiful scenery. You jump off the boat and dive through the deep blue see to find various sea creatures. The best part is the online experience. I can play online with friends. We can dive together so it's kind of cool. I'll admit, after a while it does get a bit monotonous so I put it aside for a month or so, then came back to it. It was a nice experience again.』

(Its a 4 for fun and a 5 for relaxation!!)

『This is not for everyone. If your looking for something that will get your heart pounding, this is not it. I got this for my wife cause she use to scuba dive years ago. She really enjoys it. But I found myself playing it more and more. We have it on a 100" screen and its just so relaxing. We have had it over a year now and still play it. We use it more for a great way to mello out and unwind. If your looking for something simple, and relaxing this is it. Just remember, in real life you wouldn't pet and poke some of the ocean life you do in this game. :-P』

『This is actually the second Endless Ocean that we have purchased. The first was stolen from my daughters home during a break-in. This is my grandson's very favorite Wii game and he can spend hours with me diving, exploring and identifying different kinds of marine creatures. I definately would recommend this game for parents or grandparents who have a little one that you want to spend quality time with.』

『I rented this on a monthly gamepass and I would strongly recommend renting it vs. buying to try it.
I read many positive reviews of this game and thought it sounded great - free-form exploration would be great for my daughter (8 years old) who loves the sea&sea creatures (as do I).

Before letting you just jump in and explore the water like it should, you have to sit through endless text (two lines at a time and hitting "A" to advance it just like games in the 80's) telling you about the game&how to play (which really needs very little explanation). My daughter kept saying "I want to just swim around", but the intro stuff was so long&boring.

Kids who are not very good readers will need a parent sitting with them explaining things also and even good readers will not understand many of the words.

The game then tries to give you a series of tasks via your email -- to check bring up the menu, select "return to boat", click on the boat cabin to enter, click on the PDA, click on the email, then read. Why so many steps for such a core part of the game? Also, if this is a free-form game about exploration, why is it giving you tasks right away? The first few tasks seemed very dull also such as "map the lagoon" rather than fun things like "find a shark" or "feed a dolphin".

In the water in our 45 minutes of play we saw a few fish, one ray (briefly) and nothing else. No other sea creatures at all. My daughter kept saying that she wanted to see sharks, dolphins, sting rays, etc. Maybe you have to unlock cooler creatures, but why if this is mostly a free-form exploring experience?

To learn the name of a fish you must "touch" it repeatedly, some as many as 8 or 10 times. This is certainly not my idea of fun and nor would kids put up with it.

Maybe we didn't devote enough time to the game to get the full experience, but when it's not fun why bother? Why should I have to keep pressing a button while pointing to a fish to learn its name? We tried 4 different locations on the map and they were all very similar.』

Interact with fish or plants and discover new species while building up your fish log. Befriend companions like a dolphin which will become your partner and with whom you can train and swim with. The Wii's unique Wi-Fi Connection Service allows players link up with your friends. By exchanging friend codes, two players may dive and explore the ocean together.
Looking to kick back and relax? Endless Ocean features several soothing modes. On the deck of the boat is a deckchair that allows you to sit and watch the sea. 『This is a pretty good controller. I prefer the original Nintendo version, but if you're looking to save a few bucks, I think this one is fine. It's definitely fine for a 2nd remote. From my experience, it's more or less the exact same as the Nintendo version, with the exception of the way it looks and a few of the buttons. Feels very similar in your hand.

Giving it 4 of 5 since the Nintendo is the standard and I like it better. This one is pretty good though. I may get another should I be in the need for a 3rd remote.

By the way, friends have played on this one with no problem also. I also like that it's a different color/look, so I can tell remotes one and two apart just by looking at them.』

The Good:
It works great. I like the increased button size, and the rubberized grips. I prefer to play without the rubber sleaves that the normal controlers come with, this is a nice alternative.

The Bad:
It's a little ridiculous that I have to send a new product back to the company to be updated so that it will work correctly with the Motion Plus.

Also, the battery compartment is loose. It doesn't fit as snug as the Nintendo controlers, and it gives the Wand a cheapness factor that I do not like.

『I'm typing this while watching the show!!

I watch the show almost everyday, and because of that, my wife bought me this game to play on our Wii, this past weekend. I've only played it twice so far, but on my 2nd attempt I won the showcase showdown and a Cadillac!! What I didn't like was the fact that my Cadillac was a 2006 model, not a 2009 as you would think for such a new game. As everyone else has said, the graphics are kinda weak, and they don't show the host on screen. I've only played by myself, so I'm disappointed that when I play with my wife, we will have to share a single controller. This is going to suck because our home theater seats aren't that close to each other, so we will have to throw the controller across the room to share it.

The game is over after you fail to win three game elements, each considered a strike. I don't consider failing to get the correct price on contestants row a failure, since you get multiple attempts on the real show, but on the game, you are a loser if you don't guess the price of an item. After three strikes the game is over, then you have to start again from the beginning. The object of the game is to accumulate as much cash as you can, based on the retail prices of the prizes you win. So the game just keeps repeating itself until you get three strikes, and however accumulates the most money is considered the winner. This will be a great game to pull out when friends come over, but for playing alone, I forsee me becoming bored with it after about five plays. Luckily, I also got Monopoly, so I have another great game to play.』

『The concept is a good one and it could be a lot of fun, but it's slow moving and not as exciting as watching it on TV, which you would think it would be, since you are actively involved in it. It was interesting how they used real life footage from the show. Games are pretty realistic. Controls are ok.

I've played it one or twice. That's how good (or bad) it is.

Saw there is a "2010" version coming out soon. Hope they'll read the reviews here and make improvements.

If you're a fan of the show, get it. Otherwise, wait until the next version comes out and see what they improve on.』

My boyfriend and I play it with each other and also take it to our friends' homes for team play. There are a few cons in that you get a lot of the same prizes and things to bid on, but otherwise we've really enjoyed it compared to many other games we've purchased.The Price is Right』

『This game is fun to play for any fan of TPIR. Even if you've never watched the show, a description of each pricing game is given. A lot of my favorites are on here, Plinko, Cliffhanger, Bonkers, Three Strikes, Master Key and the game where you find the front and back of the car. However, it does not have Pathfinder, Dice Game, or Lucky Seven. After completing a challenge for each game, you unlock a video clip of a funny or special moment from the real show. It's my favorite part of the game. Some challenges are freakishly hard to do, and it only counts if you complete it on solo mode. Also, you can't choose the games you play in solo mode, it's just random. In party mode, you get to choose between four games. When it's time to spin the big wheel, you must wait for the CPU to spin as well. And most of the time, they always seem to out-spin you, even if you get $0.95. It get's repetative but I never tire of hearing the "boop boop boop" of the wheel. Some pricing games are a bit unfair. For instance, "It's in the bag" where you have 6 price tags and 5 groceries to price. They give a short description of each item but only show a picture of it on a flat screen so it's hard to tell the actual size of it. You also have to remember what the items are because they only show them to you one at a time when it comes time to put a price tag on them. I've also had to choose between a price tag of $1.65 and $1.67. I've played this game 6 times and still haven't won. It's a bit frustrating at times, but worth it just to experience all the games and to see those video clips.』
