Core2Duoノートレビュー 's review (amazingly awesome game!!!) 『this is an awesome game. it is much more complicated and real than the first two. i do have to warn that this game is extremely violent. even more than the first two. you can walk around christmas parties dressed as a guest or you can walk around and execute sexy women while they are down on their knees begging you not to shoot them. the graphics are sick. honestly, this is the only reason that i still have my old xbox still.』
(Strikkly Forr De Kill ;l) 『i absolutely Loved this game for the Original XBOX. the past installments have always been Interesting to me..but None of them got it Right like this one does. though it does have a FEW issues...none of them will spoil your experience of this game.
Pros: -EXCELLENT graphics, really pushes the box to its limits. -EXCELLENT Level Developement. i LOVED the Christmas Party level..as well as the Mardi Gras and Las Vegas levels. very well detailed and Perfect for Killing and escaping unnoticed. -holds an INSANE amount of CPU on screen at one time and doesnt Slow Down or Crash the Xbox. -all the hiding, sneaking, killing without being seen, its all there and is more Fun than ever. -excellent AI...the Best iv seen in any Game. on the Hardest Level, there is NO MAP..which i found ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY to beat this game. i dont see how ANYONE could POSSIBLY beat this game without a Map that shows u where all your enemies are..the A.I. is just too Realistic for that.
Cons: -the switching of the Outfits is still Wayy too fast, almost instant. it should take a few Seconds for him to UNDRESS and then DRESS into a new outfit...and not Instantly switch.. -sometimes, the guards Notice you out of the blue. you may have just Killed someone and have changed outfits..and be standing next to a guard on a different Floor..but all of a sudden, he will ATTACK you..when a second ago, he was just standing there. -i couldnt drop Items from my Itenorary. i usually just wanted the Silenced Pistol with me..but they MAKE you carry the surrenge and the Wire..which i NEVER used. it would have been nice to be Rid of them from my arsenal. -the Targets never Differenciate their Actions. which means if youv already PLAYED through a Level before...you know EXACTLY where the target will be and when..takes away DRAMATICALLY from the replay value. -no Online mode...how FUNN would it have been to not only go after another player via xbox Live...but see who could take out a Target faster.
Overall, i suggest anyone with an Xbox ATLEAST rent this game or get it used from Gamestop and try it out. after its beaten, you can play around with the levels here and there..but it IS repetative after u beat it. i would like to see them make another game with Online Multiplayer...or atleast take THE LAS VEGAS level and make an Online level for it.

(Better than all previous Hitman Games put together) 『The good: Fantastic Level design, great AI, DETAILED levels - so much NPC action is happening all the time...SO MANY ways to complete each level with a great gameplay experience. After the "silent assassin" ratings are all earned, it's even MORE fun to go back and choose the weapons you want without worrying about too many kills, and playing the missions again. Once you've played it through one way, it's INCREDIBLE to see the other options the designers have in store.
The bad: A few minor control/gameplay issues - some small issues with sneaking/fiberwire (aiming system is a little too precise), same problem with poison. You're unable to inject someone with a syringe AS they're discovering that you're armed. So if you're sneaking up and they turn around and draw their weapon, your trigger action is immediately turned into a gun disarm. This can be useful, but it makes you drop your (silent) poison. The issue popped up throughout the game and is the only noticable detractor from the experience.
The Ugly: No issues that made me say, "wow, this game could have used another few months in development," as is the case with quite a large percentage of games today.
Overall, I'm hugely impressed.』
(Awesome) 『I bought this game for me and my brother. We love it and it is way beyond what games were in the past.』

Core2Duoノートレビュー 's review (A Fun Game That Is Not Easy) 『NFL Street is indeed fun, but my complaint about the game is that it is hard, even on easy. In the game, you have to create your own team and edit their profile and skills before you can play in the game's campaign mode. I have played about ten games in main career game and I haven't won once. It's because of the create-a-team that isn't that good yet. You only have a limited amount of points that you can use to enhance your team, so some members are better than others. I just wish that there was an option to play other teams besides the one I created in career mode, but there isn't. So overall, the game is frustrating but fun, so buy at your own risk.』
(Off the chain football action) 『This game is mad tight. The pick-up games are fun when you get to have a team with D-Mac, T.O., Charles Woodson, and Simeon Rice. I hate though when you got a team on the ropes that they can come back. That's the problem I'm having with Tampa Bay in the ladder challenge. Someone tell me how to beat them so I can defeat The NFC South. Otherwise it's a great game.』
(good start) 『Well This game could have been much more instead the developers got lazy and decided to leave it as is.Not saying that the game isn't very good mind u...but it could have been jus as good as nba street 2. Graphics: The players look really good and this could be the game where nfl players get real pub, cuz is the real nfl u can't even see their faces. The fields are so so.... could have used a lil more fans on the side watchin and cheerin. but over all the game looks very nice...full of color and awesome animation.
Sound:Real cool sound.Except the player chatter is kinda corny and repetitive.. the music is cool but the ingame music should have been real music instead of the stupid 3 instrumentals u get. The game shines with the tackle sounds...damn when u get hit it sounds like a car crash VERY nice indeed.
Replay:not much the developers thought it best to set the game so when all your tokens run out u can't replay the other challenges to unlock all the plays and logos and stuff... this is Stupid!!!! The legends in the game are nice...but only a handful which really sux cuz there are better guys that could have been added.』
(Fun) 『This game is very fun if your good at it. Thepays are cool and the way that the game can go out of control with one fumble or interception. Yes this game was a rip off of NBA street but who cares if they can pull it off more power too em. FIFA Street will come out pretty soon.』
(Sweet Game) 『NFL street is cool because of the graphes. You can do a quick game and be a real team. You can make your own team on a pickup game aganst your enimes in the NFL. If you want to unlock stuff play an NFL challenge.』 『Given the success of NBA Street it was only a matter of time before EA Sports took the street concept to its flagship sport, football. And even though there really is no such thing as street football, the concept is a winner. Straight up smash mouth football with no penalties and no clock--just the ball, the field, seven vs. seven playing offense and defense, all for the glory of the game? Boom! Wap!』 『Given the success ofNBA Streetit was only a matter of time before EA Sports took the street concept to its flagship sport, football. And even though there really is no such thing as street football, the concept is a winner. Straight up smash mouth football with no penalties and no clock--just the ball, the field, seven vs. seven playing offense and defense, all for the glory of the game? Boom! Wap!
The game licenses all the NFL teams and some 100 big-league players. The characters models are exaggerated, so don't expect likenesses to be exact, but it's fun taking a bunch of current Packer greats and stuffing the rock down the throats of seven Rams. Game modes let you choose players from single teams or create your own pro bowl, and there is a nice assortment of QBs, RBs, corners, WRs, tight ends, and O and D-linemen. There's a lot of strategy in picking your team. Sure, running backs and quarterbacks are givens, but a corner can intercept better than a wide receiver though he won't catch as well. A big offensive lineman can be useful, but he doesn't tackle well when forced to play defense. When playing two-player, you can really stack your line and shut down the enemy passing or running attack, or go for a balanced corp.
You can play a ladder or league by creating your own team, which is annoyingly time consuming. An option to draft your own NFL stars and go through would be nice, instead you have to pick a cadre of nobodies and fill out their stats. Pick a name, a logo, and try to beat the pros with your average Joes. Winning gives you points and you can upgrade from there. It's a nice option but only for the hardcore players; casual players are effectively shut out from continuing play because of it.
EA hired "street" artists to design wonderful load screens, but this makes the player models look dull by comparison. One wishes they had used cel shading and that street look to the characters, but instead we get freakish players that generally look the same. Uninspired, un-intimidating, and, frankly, boring.
The gameplay works. There's a nice assortment of offensive, defensive, and trick plays. There are no special teams, no punting, and extra points are two points for a pass, one for a run. Mastering the buttons is key because the game rewards style, impressive plays, and more. Gathering these points opens new playing fields and, if you like, can be a victory option. The computer is programmed to catch up when behind, annoyingly so, so this is more of a blast against a human opponent. The fast action and brutal hits are reminiscent ofNFL Blitz(which is a better game) but EA Big has started something here. Next year this could be really big.--Andrew S. The illuminati, knights templar, and even the grays are a large part of this games plot. I highly recommend this game. If you have played Fallout 3 you might like this, albeit this is not as advanced as Fallout.』
(Deus Ex: Invisible War) 『I should first mention that I never played the original, and so a few things were a bit confusing at first... but I quickly learned what I needed to know.
As far as storyline goes, the storyline is intricate and really makes you think. You have many missions that you can choose to do or to ignore. As you progress, you continually get sucked into the growing storyline.
As far as game play is concerned, it is kinda similar to Knights of the Old Republic because you can choose what missions to do, you choose which side you are on (and you can't be sure which is the "good" or "evil" side). It is all first person, and so you don't really level up or anything, so you know that you could defeat anybody if they attack. There is a decent range of weapons that are rather unique. One complaint is that all your weapons use the same ammo, so it is much easier to run out. If you are careful, this will not be a problem.』

I played Deus Ex: Invisible War when it first came out for the Xbox. I feel completely head of heels deep into the way the game played. I love first person shooters, so this was new to me and much more interesting.
Over the years of trading games and upgrading, I ended up buying an Xbox again, so I could play it again. It does not play on the Xbox 360, so I bought a used Xbox, just for Deus Ex: Invisible War.
I read somewhere, if Bio Shock is a success (ha ha, what a perfect game, rated a 10 in video game magazines), there may be a new next-generation Deus Ex. How great would that be on a PS3 or 360!!!!!

Usually ships in 24 hours Core2Duoノートレビュー 's review (A decent hack and slash, not much replay value in the end) 『I'll be honest; I wasn't so enthralled with Hunter: The Reckoning that I immediately had to rush out and buy "Redeemer". However, I do like seeing if things improve in a series and Hunter: The Reckoning was a good enough game to at least pique my interest into wanting to see what they did this time. If you're a die hard follower of this series then I think you'll find this an enjoyable game, but if you only casually enter this particular universe you'll be slightly disappointed.
You'd think that the follow-up would be bigger, badder, and more intense. Unfortunately we don't exactly get that. You do get some cool new things that definitely made playing this game a little better. The most obvious is a new player character in addition to the four Hunters from the first game, some of you might remember saving the scared little girl in the original game. Naturally she's all dolled up in a super short skirt, corset styled top and thigh highs. This is what anyone would expect a girl to be wearing to go hunt demons and werewolves. I was a little disappointed with her character because she was kind of slow in comparison to the other characters my friends were playing. Not to mention her ranged weapon, albeit really strong, takes a long time to fire and reload. So don't expect her to achieve nearly as many kills or levels if you're playing with friends that have much faster characters. Sure, she's more powerful, but in this game it seems speed is one of the most useful aspects for a character. Since I'm on the topic of characters, one other cool concept added to the game is that you can unlock other playable characters. Namely these are the monsters you face in the game. However, strangely, if you choose to play as these characters you can't complete certain missions. That's kind of annoying and leaves you wondering why make them available as player characters at all if you can't complete the game with them? It's really a cool idea, but I don't think it was executed nearly as well as it could have been.
One thing that caught my attention in the first game was the story and length of game play. Granted the story was a bit cheesy at times, but that's fine, I don't mind cheesy story lines so long as the game play is fun with my friends and me. I expected similar things from "Redeemer", but the game was way shorter than the first. It seriously felt like it took us half the time to beat this game than the first one. Secondly the storyline this time around felt a lot more stupid. Basically you meet up with this other hunter named Lucien to protect his factory in Ashcroft from the werewolves that are attacking him. There's some crazy conspiracy and not everything is as it seems. The plot twist was overly predictable and it wasn't even that interesting. You run into a familiar face from the original game and rather than generate intrigue he generates disappointment as it feels like a waste of time to include him. Ah well, I wouldn't say I'm completely done with this series forever if they ever put out another game. However, my expectations will certainly be lower and I found myself glad that this game was a lot shorter, because it just wasn't nearly as fun.
A major improvement on this title is the graphics though. Things are a lot more crisp and clearer. Granted it's nothing to really get excited about, but it's an improvement from the first game. The combat engine is essentially the same, except some of the increased abilities. Another gripe with the game is you still have no control over leveling up your characters. Simply use a certain kind of weapon category or ability a bunch and you automatically level up, it's not based on any kind of experience points. Overall it was a decent game to play with my friends. Unfortunately we had better things to play and ended up playing this simply because we hadn't. There are definitely better things out there and if you're looking for a game with a lot more control in this regard pick up "X-Men: Legends."
Overall Rating: 2.5/5』
(The best Hunter Game) 『I just recently got the original xbox after I traded in my PS2. I have played all the Hunter games and this one is the best by far. The first Hunter the Reckoning was way too hard and the Wayward one for PS2 wasn't too bad for one player but it got really hard with the 2 player. With Redeemer the thing I liked about it was the fact that you could put it on easy, medium or hard instead of just one setting. You can also level your characters up as well. You can even unlock new characters like a zombie and foot soldiers plus some of the bosses you fight in the game. The graphics are way better as well. If you want to play a hunter game get this one it is worth it and you can find used at a cheap price as well.』
(I would love to play this, but...) 『I would love to play this game as I have really enjoyed all the other Hunter games that are out. BUT, I have an older X-box so I can't play it! The game won't even start up! I tried several copies but to no avail... it just won't work. So take heed to this warning: If you purchased your X-box shortly after they came out, don't bother getting this game. Or at least rent it first to see if it will even play.』
(A straight up shoot-em-up for four) 『My wife and I beat the Hunter: The Reckoning -Wayward on the PS2 a year ago, so we decided the next logical step was to buy Hunter: The Reckoning - Redeemer (can that title get any longer?) for the Xbox.
The Hunter series is noteworthy because it's based on a World of Darkness pen-and-paper role-playing game. The World of Darkness was dominated by the first game in the line, vampires. Then werewolves. Then wraiths. Then changelings. Finally, someone got fed up with playing monsters and made a game dedicated to blowing them all up. Thus we have Hunter: The Reckoning, where soccer moms and school teachers suddenly discover they have super powers and can pierce the Veil, the illusion that cloaks the monsters who live among us. Good stuff.
Now, you might expect that our heroes would all be rather mundane looking, boring people. But in a sacrifice to the laws of videogames (and thus, the laws of What Teenage Boys Like), all those Hunters were sexed up quite a bit. We have the big scary biker guy (Spencer "Deuce" Wyatt), the black ex-cop (Samantha Alexander), the wise priest guy with a wicked sword (Father Esteban Cortez) and the rich kid raver chick (Kassandra Cheyung). Wayward had something of a 70s funkadelic feel to it.
Redeemer adds a new character, and she screams, "Somebody knows their demographic!" Dressed in a tight leather bustier, pigtails, and wielding a huge sword, Kaylie Winter achieves two amazing feats: she can actually swing a sword bigger than her entire body and she never falls out of her outfit. Not for lack of trying, mind you. Also, perhaps in a nod to being a bit more politically correct, Samantha no longer has an afro.
Although the World of Darkness role-playing game supposedly doesn't have classes, it has something similar: creeds. These creeds determine the characters starting abilities and access to Edges, the powers that Hunters wield against the forces of darkness. These range from confusing enemies to healing allies to blowing bad guys up real good. It didn't take long to start thinking of Father Esteban as a cleric (oh the irony!), since he gets the healing Edge.
The developers tweaked the game significantly since Wayward. Specifically, we stopped playing Wayward because we got stuck at one of the bosses-an evil witch. With her gun-toting harpies, she mowed us down over and over. What we didn't realize was that there are actually a limited number of lives. You just have a lot of them, so it takes a lot of deaths before you run out-long enough that we figured we had unlimited restarts. When we finally reached the boss fight, we had long since saved several games with that limited number of lives. It was never spelled out explicitly in the game documentation and, for reasons I will never understand, it's not spelled out in Redeemer either.
But it doesn't matter, because on Medium difficulty we never ran out of lives.
The game play is basically the same. You shoot stuff, you hack stuff, and you take its stuff. Wayward had the hysterical side effect of putting items in garbage cans, thus turning Hunters into the worlds most powerful dumpster divers. No trash receptacle is safe! Conversely, Redeemer restricts items to corpses and even gives certain adversaries items that make sense.
The plot is difficult to follow, mostly because it draws on preconceived notions from the World of Darkness that most gamers are probably not familiar with. Werewolves, in this universe, are good guys fighting the forces of corrupt civilization. In Redeemer, werewolves that appear to be enemies are actually allies, opposed by Gentex, an evil super corporation. This might sound familiar, because it's obviously Pentex, the evil super corporation from Werewolf: The Apocalypse (now Werewolf: The Forsaken). I'm not sure why the name was changed.
Anyway, it just so happens that a Hunter runs the corporation. So the corporation can't be that bad, right? Without giving too much away, let's just say that another role-playing game, one of the last to be released before the current World of Darkness "reboot" has a lot to do with this game. That will only serve to confuse people, I'm sure.
By far the best part of Redeemer is that it's one of the rare four player games for the Xbox. The controls are customized for blasting away at opponents, including a very cool strafing maneuver. It's all about killing zombies, vampires, and other weird things.
And that's not a bad thing. Redeemer makes no pretense about what it is: a straight up shoot-em-up for four. If you can stand the everything-but-the-kitchen-sink premise and don't mind your Hunters showing a little leg, Redeemer is for you.』
(The best in the series. . .) 『Since the release of "Hunter: The Reckoning," the games in the series have become steadily more accessible in terms of play balance. "Wayward," released for the Playstation 2 just months before "Redeemer," offered a considerable improvement to the hack-slash-shoot formula of its predecessor - but also failed to offer anything that felt genuinely new to veterans of the series. It felt like a glorified expansion pack to the previous game, simply put. "Redeemer," on the other hand, comes off as a true sequel, and further refines the series' signature gameplay. Gone is the oppressive difficulty of the original entry, and gone is much of the sameness of "Wayward."
That's not to say that "Redeemer" doesn't become repetitive. It does. When a game relies so heavily on hacking, slashing, shooting, and little else, this can tend to occur. Even so, the formula maintains its shallow but addictive quality - particularly if you have a friend to run through the game alongside you (or a few, for the matter of that). There are many noticeable improvements to the core game that include ranged attack power ups (such as incendiary or poisonous bullets), level-ups that actually make an impact on your chosen character (your weapons become noticeably more potent, and your basic ranged weapon can hold more ammunition), NPCs that add a little something extra to the game's environments, and more health and "edge" enhancers that pop up in place of slain enemies. "Hunter: The Reckoning" was murderously difficult, and both "Wayward" and "Redeemer" have addressed this issue respectably.
Graphically, "Redeemer" takes the series much further. The environments are slick-looking and full of eye candy (like reflective surfaces), and the characters onscreen animate believably. Even when there are many enemies onscreen at a given time, there is very little slowdown. The sound effects get the job done without making a particular impression, and, unfortunately, the music is still sporadic, but the in-engine cutscenes are very well done and excellently voiced. Overall, "Redeemer" offers a winning presentation that trumps each of its forebears.
The story that runs behind the scenes here isn't anything too impressive, but the involvement of monsters that aren't entirely evil does add a wrinkle to the proceedings. The new character class (the Redeemer) plays a large role in the scheme of things, and is a fine addition to the other four. She is, perhaps, one of the most well-rounded characters in the game.
All in all, if you're a fan of the series, then there's no reason why you should be without "Redeemer." It takes everything that makes the series so strangely compelling and polishes it to a radiant shine. It lacks the insane difficulty of the original and the overwhelming sameness of "Wayward" and offers up a game that is quite enjoyable.

Core2Duoノートレビュー 's review (A pleasant surprise) 『A brisk and dark 3D action game: part shooter, part beat-em-up and all pretty enjoyable. Things to like: The T'lan enemies are downright intimidating early in the game (less so later on as your powers expand). It's big (it took me 20 hours just to get through it -- not counting all the replays) and not over when you think it is. And it's a solid story; I always understood what was going on -- in no small part because clipboards and vocieovers fill in details throughout. My one complaint is that the game's too linear -- just one path -- and, apart from the boss battles at the very end, pretty easy for a game with a checkpoint system.(If you fail in a sequence, it reloads with a healthier character.) Visually exciting with a steep learning curve, this game offers the opposite of the "Sid Meier's Pirates" gaming work load. Very hands on and all the small details are on you, the gamer. Avoid the easy-to-aquire cheats: Will ruin the gaming experience. I purchased the game for a low price, so overall good buy.』
(Average) 『I was so excited to finally find a copy of this game and eagerly awaited for it to arrive....excited until I played it. It is nowhere near as exciting as I thought it would be having read all the reviews. I mean it's ok for an average game but that's it. The only really good part is when you are at sea in your ship. At sea, the graphics are really good. Watch out for those storms though. I have been playing for about 4 hrs or so now and those storms sink my ships every single time. Must be some trick to survive them I guess. We shall see. If you find this cheap somewhere, pick it up. But I wouldn't spend too much money on it.』
(awesome) 『This is simply a fantastic game-incredible complexity, I don't know hao they crammed it all in-the se-battles , the Duals-you can play this game for months and still discover new things-one of the most complex detailed games ever made.』
(pirates of the caribbean) 『I had a problem with this video game. It came damage, I never can see the video game. I was explain the problem but I never recived any solution at this problem.』 『Pirates Of The Caribbean gives you the chance to test your mettle against the legendary pirates who sailed the high seas!』

This game is very repetitive, very boring, very generic, and crappily designed. To start off I'll give you a list of licensed games you should go play instead of this piece of crap: 1. X-Men Legends I and II 2. Marvel: Ulitmate Alliance 3. Over the Hedge 4. King Kong 5. The Chronicles of Riddick: Escape From Butcher Bay 6. Spider-Man (Any game) 7. Goldeneye 007 8. Buffy the Vampire Slayer (Xbox) 9. Indiana Jones and the Emperor's Tomb 10. Aladdin (SNES, Genesis) 11. Hulk: Ultimate Destruction 12. Kingdom Hearts I and II 13. Superman: Shadow of Akopolis 14. Ghostbusters: The Game 15. Lego Star Wars 16. Batman: Arkham Asylum 17. The Incredibles 18. Cars 19. Ratatouille (Xbox 360 version only) 20. Celebrity Deathmatch 21. The Thing 22. Constantine 23. The Warriors 24. Scarface: The World is Yours 25. The Matrix There, now go play those good licensed games instead of wasting your time playing this cesspool of failure. Now, let's to go to the review. WHAT THE GAME IS: Another crappy licensed product that is very generic and very boring. The X-Men are dealing with their history and are trying to stop an evil corporation from releasing dangerous technology upon the world. Unfortunately, the story is confusing and poorly conveyed throughout the game. GRAPHICS: This game came out in 2006 and looks ugly like a game from '03 or '04. The cutscenes at least have a nice comic-book style. This game is ugly most of the time, sometimes the the special effects look good. MUSIC: Most of the time there is very little present. And when it's there, it's awful and not worth listening to at all. SOUND: Lots of punching, lots of shooting, lots of screaming from dying enemies, voices of annoying enemies, some actors from the movie and more. GAMEPLAY: This is the worst part of the whole experience, with very generic and uninspired moments that are on par with things you thought (or at least hoped) you left behind in the original Playstation era. Kill all the enemies in the room! Put out all the fires and defend the nuclear reactor! Destroy all the control systems! Protect Colossus (What the hell?!)! Find your way to the entrance! Fly through all the rings! The list goes on and on. This game can be extremely frustrating during the generic "kill all the enemies in the room" objectives. Enemies are armed with guns and electric prods, and I can't tell you how many times I died because I got shocked and shot to death too many times because too many enemies are thrown at you. Then you have to redo a fairly large portion of the crappy level all over again. This game has a health recovery system, but you have to be standing still and hold down a button while you do this, which caused many of my deaths because I couldn't recover my health. This game also has possibly the worst flight mechanics I have ever experienced. When controlling Ice Man he has very badly designed maneuvering abilities which can cause you to hit several objects and damage your health. He also has the worst lock-on system I have ever used in a game. During one particular mission I had to shoot down missiles, but because the lock-on system so horribly designed I failed the mission because I could not lock on properly. It told me where my enemies were, but I had to aim my ice beam and guess where it went. Nightcrawler's abilities are cool to use, but his ability to teleport to the area you are pointing him to often times does not work and you will be going back and forth on objects you don't want him to be on. Boss battles are also badly designed. Juggernaut sure did suck, all I did was run around him to avoid attacks and I just slashed and kicked him to death. The battle with Lady Deathstrike also sucked, mostly because I continuously got sucked into a tornado on the level because of Storm and it damaged my health. Plus, your allies suck most of the time minus Storm. For example: Colossus really sucks, and you have to defend him from being killed by soldiers. OVERALL: Go play the licensed games I listed above instead of this treachery. If you like X-Men play something else.』
(Where have all the heroes gone?) 『Ok, I'm writing having just beaten the game at 100% on the hardest difficulty and I must say I have mixed feelings.
First of all, I agree with whichever reviewers mentioned the fact that the game has horrible cinematics graphics. Why in the world would we want a cinematics in which people are talking but not moving their lips? I don't care how artsy it may be, it's stupid! For the same reason I enjoy my actors in movies to talk AND move their lips, I enjoy the characters in my video games to do the same, especially in a cinematic.
Now then, on to gameplay. There are three characters (granted, a great lack of variety, but I'm just going to ignore that right now). I did like the way you could upgrade mutant abilities throughout the game and even the little bands of DNA you could do it on (I'm taking Genetics right now), however the gameplay itself did not have as consistent a semihappy feeling to me. Iceman can only slide around on his ice... Why can't he walk? Someone, please tell me why Iceman cannot walk? Oh yes, I did enjoy his abilities and they were interesting and all, but why can't he walk? Better yet... why is it that he is nothing but a mutant fire extinguisher except for a few levels? I really got bored of that. However, later (when you finally got to crush things with hailstorms) it was much more fun with Iceman.
Wolverine is really cool... I think his slashing and fury skills and healing powers are SO awesome. They did a good job with that, except there's a little lack of variety (paraphrasing what one reviewer said... hacking, then hacking, then hacking some more). Yes, he did not have the most complex of missions. Most of his missions were "kills these guys" and "destroy that one thing after killing these guys" and "now kill THAT guy." I'm aware it's his favorite way to go about things, but he is capable of intelligent work... Oh, and one more thing... Why can't I move the camera around? There's limited camera movement in most (if not all) of wolverine's missions and it bothers me. If I were eviscerating scores of people, I would want to see everything around me...
As for Nightcrawler... simply brilliant! I must say he was my favorite mutant even before I got the game, but their design of him and his powers are wonderful. He can do acrobatics, use teleportation to many objects and edges, and use teleportation to enemies (imitating on a near equal scale the teleportation techniques displayed in the second X-Men movie in the oval office fight scene). I also like the fact his skills are used in strategy as well as straight forward fighting (as opposed to nothing but straight forward fighting like Wolverine). The ability to quickly teleport to hit one guy and then teleport to another guy is amazingly done (though, with an understandable limit of how many times you can do this as well as a limit on how much damage Nightcrawler can inflict, lest he be nearly invincible).
To sum up, the game itself was ok. If you love Nightcrawler, buy it. If not, it's your choice, but I don't think it's worth it otherwise. It's rather limited with annoying cinematics, redundant strategies with Wolverine, and sometimes interesting sometimes not interesting levels with Iceman. If Nightcrawler wasn't in this game and/or didn't have such awesome gameplay, I'd probably give this game 1 star.』
(Great Idea - but Not Fully Implemented) 『I really enjoy the X-Men series, and was looking forward to learning more back-story to the latest X3 movie. It was disappointing that this game seems to have been rushed.
First, you can only play 3 characters - Wolverine, Iceman and Nightcrawler. I really like the Wolverine character, but his game action is rather feeble. He just hacks, hacks, and then hacks some more. In comparison, Iceman and Nighcrawler are much more fun to play. I enjoy the Iceman's sliding along the pathways he creates, and I love the BAMPF as Nightcrawler teleports from place to place.
Still, all 3 are guys! Surely they could have come up with a female character or two for me to play as well? Storm would've been fun, or any of the myrid of other females in the storyline.
The sound in the game is great because in general they used the correct voice actors from the movies. So you get to hear Patrick Stewart and all the rest giving their lines. It really does help to immerse you in their world.
On the other hand, the graphics are surprisingly poor for an XBox 360 release. I understand that X-Men was a comic strip. I understand the "artistry" behind wanting to keep up that same world. However, the implementation here comes across as pure silliness. You start with a speech being given - and the character who is "speaking" just stares, motionless, at the screen the entire time. Later scenes are even worse. It's almost as if you're watching popsicle-stick theater, with little cardboard representations of the characters being waved around.
I appreciate the thought behind this game, what they were aiming for. I think if they'd spent more time developing it, they could have had a really great result. The Iceman sliding and the Nightcrawler BAMPFing was very cool. If they'd added in more characters, provided a more involving environment and given a bit more intricacy to the main gameplay, it could really have been great. As it is, there's not a lot to draw you in and keep you playing.
Recommended to rent.』
(Another comic book Game Poorly Executed!!!!!!!!!!!!!) 『Another comic book title semi-wasted. This game has alot going for it. Unfortunately it was very poorly executed. The game has the movies music, feel, and atomosphere down pat. But that is about it. It really lacks anything innovative in a action adventure brawler. I have to say that Wolverine is the worst character to play in this game. His hack&slash levels are so ordinary. Ice Man&NightCrawler seem to have the most entertaining rounds. Ice Man is always on his snow glide&Night Crawler can do his teleporting effect. Its such ashame we couldnt pick Storm, Colossus, Angel, Magneto, Cyclops, Jean Grey, Beast, Rogue, or Shadowcat. Another down side is that the game is not created for 2 players. I dont have an Xbox 360 but from what everyone tells me it has the most impressive graphics on the 360. I got a GameCube version&the graphics are fine but seems like it was made for the Nintendo 64&Playstation 1 if anything. I got my game at Best Buy for 29.99 cause i was in no mood to shell out 39.99 for this game after all the bad press. All in all a decent game, but not on any level is it EXTRA-ORDINARY. Another thing is the animated cut scenes. There not so ANIMATED!!!!!! If you know what i mean? Its setup like your reading a comic book&the only characters that ever move in the cut scenes are the non X-men characters. All in all a decent action/adventure game&hopefully when the next X-men game comes out it will be so much better. A recent comic book video game that just came out that is really GOOD is Teen Titans&its only 19.99. Give Teen Titans and this one a try , X-men is not as bad as everyone says it is. But just wait till the price drops to 29.99&under before making your purchase. 』
(Poor Quality Cash Cow Game) 『Not always is a game based off a movie bad. There really are some good ones out there. However, there are some that truly are bad and should be avoided. X-Men: The Offical Game is that game. The game overall is pretty poor. The developers didn't seem to take it seriously. The game is meant to connect The second X-Men movie with the third one. Unfortunately, the game just reeks of bad quality. Perhaps if it had spent more time in development, the game could've been good. Instead it's rather bland.
The game begins with a training mission with each character. This is simply to get you adjusted to the gameplay mechanics. Later on you'll come to see these training missions are just a waste of time. Playing the game is already simple as can be. Afterwards, you go back to Alkali Lake as Nightcrawler and recover parts of Cerebro. Afterwards you'll be given a choice between which scenario you want.
Throughout the entire game you'll only get to play as three characters. Wolverine, Iceman or Nightcrawler. Each of them have their own abilities, and their own scenarios. Once you pick one character, you're stuck with them until their scenario is over. You won't really run into the other playable characters a lot, though. Neither are the scenarios very hard or exciting.
X-Men is pretty much a simple beat 'em up game, with little bits and pieces of story thrown in for good measure. The story isn't really impressive, though. It's hard to follow, and the game doesn't put an emphasis on it. What voice acting there is isn't so bad. At least the voices that come from the stars of the film. You'll recognize them instantly. Those who aren't voiced by celebrities don't sound all that great. The story also unfolds mostly through storyboards rather than cinematics.
But what emphasis there is on gameplay is simplistic and mediocre. All you've got to do is beat people up. You might have to open a door or something, but that's about it. It isn't that the game is a beat 'em up that frustrates me. It's that there's nothing more to it than button mashing. And there aren't a lot of combos to perform either. As I said, it's simplistic.
Outside of beating up your enemies, you may have to telport as Nightcrawler. Nightcrawler does have a healing ability, and so does Iceman, but I'm quite sure they didn't have one before. Iceman's levels are a little more interesting than the others, seeing as how his are constantly moving along. The bulk of the game, however, is simply beating up your enemies. And as I mentioned, there isn't a whole lot of variety to beating them up.
There are moments when the game can be hard. Well, frustrating actually. The game doesn't provide a lot of difficulty, but it does provide you with having to charge at your enemies head on to--you guessed it--beat them up. You'll have to run through bullets to get to most of them, and that can be a little annoying.
Boss fights aren't really exciting either. Those consist of you performing a simple little dash and hit sort of pattern most of the time. They have predictable patterns and don't really do a whole lot to get you. Again, this makes the game rather easy.
Where the game really hits a low point are the graphics. The game certainly looks good, but there are some glitches that might make you question the graphics. For example, you can knock an enemy into a wall and they'll get stuck there, unable to get out of it, and unable to damage you. Sometimes enemies will pop up out of no where and there's no explanation. If these sorts of things only happened once or twice, I wouldn't mind. But they don't. They happen numerous times and constantly. The game looks good at least. Nothing noteworthy, there are plenty of games that look better, but this game doesn't look bad at all.
It's also rather annoying that the character selection is only limited to three characters. There could've been more characters than just Wolverine, Nightcrawler and Iceman. They each play a little differently, but they're the only three characters. That's rather disappointing.
This is nothing more than a Cash Cow game. It's nothing but a beat 'em up game with little variety. If it had spent more time in development, it probably would've been a better experience overall. There are better games out there. Ones with a bit more quality than this. I can't recommend this one. Not at all.』 『Experience epic Super Hero action, as the game explains Nightcrawlers mysterious absence from the movie, and in-game events foreshadow the roles of the X-Men and Brotherhood in the film』

Once you get the feel of the game, you will be disappointed that there is no quick save feature. The game saves automatically but I have never made it to the first save point and likely never will. The game is just too difficult for a casual gamer like myself. It would be great if you could just save and continue but having to start over every time makes this game a big disppointment.
This game is relatively rare and the lack-of-save is probably why. This game is only for highly skilled aces that can battle through to the save points; otherwise, avoid.』
(no pain no gain) 『The game is great for the fans, but the save feature is bad, i have fun with the misions, now im stuck in the mision os scouting with a Cylon Rider for the past 6 months, is hard has hell keep track of flying with the others cylon riders and dont get discovered. Buts its fun.』
(EXCELLENT FOR BATTLESTAR FANS) 『ITS A MUST FOR ALL BATTLESTAR GALACTICA FANS, IT RUNS ON XBOX 360 SMOOTHLY, ITS A MUST IF YOU LOVE THE OLD AND NEW SERIES, THE GAME ITS A LITTLE BIT HARD BUT AFTER A FEW HOURS YOULL GET THROUGH THE MISSIONS.
I DO RECOMMEND IT, FROM AMAZON??? BETTER!!!!』
(I like the game it reminds me of the old tv. show in some ways) 『I would tell people if they liked the old and new show.Buy this game its fun and hard not easy but you will like.』
(Heyyy!! Where's the sequel ?? Is there a sequel out there??) 『This game was loads of fun. Some people said that it's too hard, but, I didn't find it hard at all. Actually it was kind of easy. I think car racing games are much more difficult (too much traffic to deal with on the ground), but flying games are easy (not much traffic to deal with in the air). However, in both driving and flying types games you have to do things at an incredibly high rate of speed. So, my advice is that when you play this game, just get used to thinking and doing things very quickly.
Oh yeah, one more thing, don't forget to make sure that you fly that stupid Viper like you just stole it and the cops are after you.』 『Battlestar Galactica is a wild space combatgame set in the universe of the cult sci-fi show! Set 40 years before the events of the show』
Core2Duoノートレビュー 's review (Excellent Game) 『If you're looking for an excitting real-like Rally game, this is yours. Since enviromental noises, even individual damage in tires and parts of your car, up to different behiavor deppending the tipe of car you're driving. It's like Forza Motorsport, but rally version (even better than Microsoft version). I'll strongly recommend it.』
(Fun game; driving dynamics and graphics could be better) 『Definitely a fun game, and if you are a rally racing fan Colin McRae 2005 is worth the money. It's challenging, which is a good thing, and the rally locations are realistic. The only reason I don't give this game higher marks is that driver dynamics and graphics could be better. Of course this game dates back a few years, so this should be expected. That being said, in my opinion Forza Motorsports still reigns king in the world of Xbox racing games.』
(good game) 『Very fun, but not quite like rallisport challenge 2, also, for all you cheaters, this one almost requires you to pay to cheat :S (BUT I NEVER WOULD!)』
(a couple of improvements needed) 『I love this game. Graphics are great, physics fantastic etc.
There are a few improvements that I want to suggest, but don't change whats good with the game now - I would hate to see this become an arcade racer! 1) The controller customization gives you just about every option you could imagine except one - you can't use the right thumbstick to change gears - please put this option in. 2) ability to save favourite runs for replaying later (watching a run can be almost as fun a driving it - especially a few of the big offs) 3) choice of camera angle for replay (inside, outside, helicpoter, as well as the tv style that the game currently uses for replay) 4) movie controls on the replay so you can watch a certain section over again (perhaps from a different camera angle) 5) a few more options in car setup (perhaps more precise tire compound control) 6) a couple of very long courses up to 10-12 minutes (most are under 4 minutes) 7) improved graphics (alhough this is well below my gameplay/replay wants)』
(Total Disappointment!) 『I don't care how much "Fun" and "Realistic" is the pitch from the marketing. This game is BAD! Pretty cars in the select menu, that's it for the cool graphics! In game visuals are lame! The Replay mode is just.. well I have not seen such a low quality since my Dreamcast!
And the controls and "realistic" driving? Where? I'm a race game junkie, so my skill is pretty decent. I can hardly believe that a race car needs 10 second to get to 30mph and fly out of control on slightest turns. Yes visually it feels you are still at 5mph. I returned the game after first 30 minutes of play.
