(Ultimately pointless)
『After playing Futurama for a few hours, I realized that what I really wanted was just to watch some episodes of the show rather than mess with the game. Which ultimately is the only real purpose of the product reviewed here: enjoying the whacked humor of the TV series. The mechanics of the game itself are brutal platforming dullness, with all the cheap deaths, dull objectives, and idiotic easter egg hunts. Yeah, a lot of the gags are great and the original cast does the voice work, but gosh you can enjoy the same experience just by flipping on Cartoon Network and catching reruns of the show. Only recommended for the hardcore Futurama completist.』

(Great if you like platform games, so-so if you don't...)
『We'll start by saying I've watched every episode of Futurama and love it to death. I'm eagerly anticipating the release of Season 5 on DVD. The game's graphics and sounds are pretty true to the series, and it is done in the same sense of humor as the series. If it had been more of an "adventure" style game and less of a "platform jumper" it would probably get 5 stars from me. But I absolutely HATE games where you spend 95% of your time hopping from one platform to another, with each mistake costing you a life and requiring you to start jumping all over again. I think platform jumpers are a crutch to avoid having to invent more interesting and entertaining challenges in the content of a game. If you're the sort of person who loves those run and jump games, and love Futurama, you'll love this game. If not, you'll probably feel (like me) that it's "so so". I only got about 2-3 levels into it before I got bored with all the jumping and quit playing.』

(I can't believe all the bad reviews this game has.)
『This game is a blast! I mean c'mon, you get to be Fry, Bender, Leela, and Dr. Z! How cool is that! I admit the game has some flaws. OK so the rotating camera is a little hard to control and can drive you crazy when you get killed on jumps. But except for Bender's one minute countdown out of the canyon, you can take your time on each jump. The funnest characters to play are Fry and Leela, but the whole game is great. Bender has the best lines, when he picks up his pink rocks for money he says cool stuff like 'This'll spruce up the pimp mobile' and 'Dis'll go great with my gold tooth.'』

(It's like getting an extra episode of Futurama!)
『A full episode worth of cut scenes between the levels make it a must-have for any Futurama fan.

The game gets better and better as it goes along. Don't judge it based on the warm-up.』

(Fan of Futurama? Spend your money on the DVDs.)
『Cel-style animation. Original voices. Cut scenes with all the off-beat humor of the original TV series. What's not to love?

Well, in the "not to love" category we have: Weak graphics. Substandard (non-customizable) controls. Dumb missions. And a third person camera that absolutely defies player control.

All in all, I thouroughly enjoyed the cut scenes, and spent much of the gameplay trying to gouge out my own eyes. Thanks a load, Fox Interactive.』

(American Wasteland)
『I like Tony Hawks American Wasteland a lot. I like the goals that you have to complete. They are challenging and fun.You can switch from bike to board easily.I also like the places where they put the ramps.I play this game a lot. The only thing that I do not really like is the goals on level 4, otherwise, the game is really awesome!!!』

(umm...ok.)
『this game was alright. i've been playing tony hawk games since thps2. this game is nothing special, i'd rather play thug1 because that at least has jamie thomas. the only things i thought that were cool is the new spray feature where you can spray the ground, and the few new moves. the new no load screen feature is a joke because you still have to change areas with a loading screen in multi-player. also i didn't really get into the soundtrack i guess because i have this version. also why didn't activision keep the create a deck mode the same as thug1 why did they change during thug2? after thug1 the tony hawk games have been going down hill and have had a cliche story mode. all in all this is pretty much a clone of thug2, it's just a dressed up version of that.』

(best game i've ever played)
『this is the best game i have ever played,
and it is so much fun i could not set my controller down.
if you like tony hawk rent or (what you should do)buy
an awesome game beginning to end you will love it.
and for those who haven't played tony hawk or do not like the previous ones. here is the chance to admit that superb puts the s in skate boarding.
BUY THIS GAME NOW!
P.S. if only all games were this good』

(One of the better skating games)
『American Wasteland is alright not all that fun but not so bad that no one would buy it. Once you get in to it it's not that bad but it doesn't take very long to beat I beat it in one day.』

(Ify)
『Not the best but not the worst. Ok but pretty much the same as the undergrounds. Its still one of the best skateing games out there.』

(Near perfect Pac-Man)
『Judged on just the extras, menus&features, this title is far from special. Compared to what Capcom has delivered with their "Classics" series, a few extra features like save states and shorter load times would have been nice.

However, I bought this title for the Pac-Man, Ms Pac-Man and Galaga emulations, and on that note 50th Anniverary delivers. First off, the graphics&sound for Pac-Man, Ms. Pac-Man&Galaga are spot on, a vast improvement over the terrible distortions of the original Namco Museum (Xbox) title. Ghost behavior in the Pac-Man games is about as close to the arcade as you'll probably find in an emulation. Sit spots, passing through ghosts, and the little quirks of each monster from what I can tell are exploitable just as they were in the arcade. As far as grouping behavior goes, I'm not an expert in that arena, so your mileage may vary if your questing for a perfect game and want to test out your favorite arcade tricks.

I only wish I could praise the Galaga emulation as highly. Graphics&sound are as they should be, but an unfortunate input lag will cause some frustration when your pounding away on the fire button. Of course, having played the arcade quite a bit during the 90's, I became accustomed to creaky old stained cabinets with faded screens and half working controls.

As for the rest... I'll have to give the other games a try, but for the big 3 this disc does deliver the goods.』

(Good complation)
『This is a good colection of some of the classics, the main reason I got this was for Rolling Thunder and Xevious (since I've never seen them on any other collection of games). I used to love those 2 games when I was a kid. Most of the other games are cool but a good bit of them are already on other classic games out there (like Pac-man, mrs pac-man, galaga, dig dug ect...). The only things I didn't like was the load times and that you couldn't continue on Xevious or Dig Dug, which is kindof annoying. Other than that it's $20 of my hard earned cash well spent.』

(Nostalgic Namco)
『There is so much to say with nostaligic video games these days. Yet, with so many different games that have been coming back and definitely remaining a constant in the industry. That has been the case with Namco and their brand of video games. We've seen classics from their main attraction, Pac Man revive the company over and over again to still stand as a popular favorite for every video game system. That also was shown with the Namco Museum reflection of the classic video game library. While the games have all been released for each of the ssytems, another edition was over the horizon, without a quarter to place into the slots.

Namco Museum 50th Anniversary Arcade collection for the Microsoft Xbox, is a collection of 14 games for everybody to love and enjoy. The collection of games is mostly nothing new for people who bought the previous edition. Neverthless, for anybody who hasn't played these classic gems, that is another story. The games here have all been restored and remastered nicely, with a main menu soundtrack that feaures classics from the 80's like the Fine Young Cannibals hit She Drives Me Crazy. The compilation includes so many greats that still stand including Pac Man, Ms. Pac Man, Dig Dug, the original driving machine Pole Position, and Galaga. While the game doesn't showcase the arrangement editons of games like Pac Man, and Dig Dug, the classic editions still stand still, and just remain as good guilty pleasures. The control for these games is very simple and easy for all gamers alike old and new.

While so many people might not seem interested in the classics right now, and are just considering newer games like Need For Speed: Most Wanted, and Project Gotham Racing, Namco Museum's 50th Anniversary Arcade Collection for the Xbox is a great buy for any gamer who has a feeling for the arcade greats.

Graphics: B+

Sound: B

Control: B 1/2+

Fun&Enjoyment: B 1/2+

Overall: B+』

(Namco Museum. It's great!)
『Why, you ask?

1) Play your favorite classic NAMCO arcade games!

2) Go XBOX LIVE!

3) Includes PAC-MAN, RALLY X, DIG DUG, and 11 more games!

Buy it! You won't be dissapointed!』

(Great Collection)
『This is a great collection of Namco's classic games. If you bought the Namco Museum for XBox, then you know about the jerky movement of both Pac-Man and Ms. Pac-Man. Very distracting but they are gone in this set. Plus there are more games and they added the classic Galaga '88'. All you need is to score 40000 on Galaga and it's yours but why even bother because 40000 on Galage should be no problem for moderate to pro players. There's also Pacmania on the game and you need 15000 on Pac-Man and 20000 on Ms. Pac-Man to unlock. If you already have the Museum, this is still a must buy so you can get Rolling Thunder along with the bonus game of Galaga '88'. If you buy the Museum, 50th Anniversary and the Battle Collection for the PSP, you actually wind up having 4 different versions of Galaga. The Arrangement version on the PSP is different then the one on Museum and a whole lot more fun. At any rate, buy this game.』
『Namco's Museum 50th Anniversary Collection compiles some of the classic Namco arcade games that defined gaming in the 1980s. Go back in time and play classics like Pac-Man, Galaga, Dig Dug, and Pole Position. The new retro menu Interface allows players to explore a virtual arcade hall where each of the game's classics will be standing in its original arcade form. The only difference is, this time you don't need a pocket full of quarters! Pole Position - The milestone in racing games Pole Position II - Sequel to the original, 4 real racetracks - Fuji, Test, Suzuka, and Seaside Rolling Thunder - Become secret agent Albatross and rescue Lelia Blitz from the evil Geldra Bosconian - Survive against an army of space stations, while avoiding asteroids and other obstacles Rally X - Players drive around a maze while avoiding chasing cars, laying smoke screens, and collecting flags Dragon Spirit - Control a powerful dragon through the air, harness spells, drop bombs and breath fire at enemies Sky Kid - Control a bi-plane and avoid enemy planes using evasive loops, while dropping bombs&shooting down other planes Xevious - Use a heavily armed fighter plane to destroy enemies and targets, in the air and on the ground Mappy - Control Mappy the police mouse, as he dodges chasing cats to collect valuable items』

『I was looking for a golf game for my brother for his birthday and i heard that outlaw golf was a good game. After i got it very fast great shipping time, my brother loves the game.』

(Tons of fun)
『This game rocks... it's good for someone who like to be able to pick up a game and play for a little bit, or for hours on end. Easy in-game tutorials on the controls, very small learning curve. Challenging if you really get into it, and not to hard to play if you don't. Love the comments.. is that Dave Attell from Insomniac doing the commentary?? Love his one-liners!』

(Best Golf Game I've ever owned)
『This is actually the second time I've boughten this game, it's that much fun. Nevermind that it's funny, narrated by Dave Attell and you can beat up your caddy and drive your golf cart into fun obstacle courses, it's actually a very decent golf game. It really utilizes the full potential of the X-Box controller. I don't even like golf as a sport, but I love this game.』

(Very fun and funny.)
『Great golf game. I don't play golf but I love golf games. Go figure. This one is fun and funny. A+』

(Great game)
『I prefer OLG1 because its a little easier to play. But this, OLG2 is great, so much more golf (courses, holes) to play. Being a guy, the girls are much sexier with different outfits to unlock. I like the new skill events, blowing up cows, driving carts around running people over, etc.』
『Outlaw Golf 2 brings back the shameless golf action that made Outlaw Golf such a hit! "Playing from the rough" has a whole new meaning when these bombshell babes and deviant d00ds go for 18 holes. Turn your boring old golf game into a rowdy and tasteless display of uninhibited fun. Career Mode tracks a player's progression in the game, unlocking new characters, outfits, clubs and balls More than 50 tacky costume combinations per character Multiplayer action for up to 4 players online or on the same couch Put your balls where your mouth is trash-talk your opponents over Xbox Live』

(Robo-TRASH: "Make YOU Cry" if you buy it!)
『Avoid this dog-pile... Look, lots of people like lots of different things. I HATE THIS GAME. I couldn't get rid of it fast enough. The graphics are crappy, the game play is utterly repetitive. Did these jokers spend any time designing this product? You will need to be a real die-hard fan type of person to enjoy this more than a few minutes. You cannot turn into the flying mode at will. That sucks. And the graphics look like a kid's coloring book. Get yourself a used copy of "Mechassault" or even "Battle Engine Aquila"&you'll be better off.』

(An awesome game for fans of Robotech!!!)
『If you've never heard of Robotech, this game will seem average at best. You'll be intrigued by the whole transformations thing, but you won't get it. You won't be amazed by the music or the new planes or the abilities of each new veritech, and you definintely won't get the paint schemes. Overall, you'll be like... decent plot, okay graphics, and okay gameplay. You just won't understand.

But...

If you are a robotech fan, this is a must have! Though you do not follow the Macross Saga timeline, they allow you to follow it enough to get you attached and then go off on a believable and interesting story. It does help account for the many Zentradi that survived the battle, since you fight so many in the game. The ability to switch modes on command is amazing. The cut scenes are not the best and some of the machinema, just plain sucks, but it doesn't matter, it's robotech. Every vertitech is in the game, and sometimes, you'll get surprised with a new one you didn't think was coming. All the paint schemes are there, from Rick's to Max's, to the infamous SKULL ONE!!! The Boss battles, seem like they would be monotonous, since there is a pattern to beating the enemy, but for some reason, it's more of an adrenaline rush. Everything about this game is fun... except the protection missions. These get old FAST. I viewed them as a challenege, but it really kinda sucks, protecting something that cannot protect itself. Multiplayer is also lacking in this game. There is only one on one, which can get boring pretty fast. And a flight ceiling in some levels sucks, but makes sense for the point of the level. With such a low flight ceiling, you'd be surprised by how big the space missions are. You can literally fly anywhere, practically. The graphics are perfect for the game, as it emulated the animation from the series. The music is good, and although the sound effects are repetative, they are the same sound from the series, so it works for a fan. You will love launching salvo after salvo of missles and targetting five guys at once and unleashing your payload. They created a realistic balance between the three different modes, giving each its own individual strength. The main point of the game is to play through and beat it, but striving for the different medals and promotions adds a new level of gameplay and causes you to increase your skill and proficiency in new and old areas.

For the Robotech fan, this game is a must. It has all that you could ever want in a robotech game, minus the better multiplayer.
I own it and love it.』

(this game is crazy awesome)
『This game is crazy. Its one of the best games ive ever played. The only problems are the missions are severley repetetive and u cant fly very high, but other than that its awesome. Although there never is a mission where u have enough room to do maneuvers like firing a salvo of missiles and then changing into battloid mode to realy fight, or do some coolio spin move then fire some missiles and then fly upward and straight down again. But this game is 10x better than that ripoff Robotech Invasion. But its still one of the best games ever. (Xbox version is best).』

(RoboTech - BattleCry.......I get it!)
『The RDF (RoboTech Defense Force) has A-LOT of confidence in their Veritechs. Basically each level is done single handedly by you with one Veritech (There is minor support but insignificant as it really doesn't seem to make or break an outcome). Sometimes this soloing seems reasonable and other times just absurd. I recall the level "Cat Scan" were you're supposed to escort a recon unit doing her rounds amoungst 20,30...Zentradi. So it's basically you and a recon unit with minor defensive weapons VS a small army. When you fail the mission (and you will fail it, unless you happen on the "trick" right away) the game barks at you "What were you thinking", or something along those lines. It didn't take long for me to think "What was the RDF thinking putting only one Veritech out?", or at least "What were the programmers thinking when they assembled this level?"

That being said if you can get past the "One Man Army Syndrome" the game is pretty fun eventhough you have a very limited "arena" to play in. It has alot of neat visuals, good music (based on, but not the original North American Macross Series, and that is really too bad!) and good control(X-box)(once you get used to it!). One more thing, with the gameplay, music and cell-shading combined it began to feel like the cartoon after a while.』

(whish I could give it 2.5 stars)
『Man - this game is phenomanally erratic. On the plus side - its really cool to watch as you play - it feels very authentic - and you can do some really fun stuff with the Veretech (swooping in on enemys - firing a bunch of missiles - and then transforming to finish them off with your gun) - but some of the missions are just absloutly horrible. It is not so much that they are too hard (althought there are a few) - its that there seems to be no rhyme or reason as to how exactly to get through some other than kill everything in site by seeing how fast you can fire your gun and how well you can aim. There were honestly a few levels where when I beat them i could see no difference in how I played vs the times i lost - in fact i would switch difficulty and sometimes end up lasting longer on hard than on medium. On the flip side there are a few missions that are unbearably easy - OK - the one with Minmei is fun just because it gives them an excuse to put her in it and it is kind of like comic relief - but sometimes - its like whatever. Also there are way way to many missions involving protecting something - a few are good - but you spend so much time tethered to something you are protecting - you rarely have time to really use the veretech as it can be used. And finally - the mission spaces are way to containing - why you can not fly up above a city- circle around and swoop in is beyond me. I know the game would be different - but limiting how high you can go in a VT to a few stories up is very unauthentic - and not very Robotechy - If the designers really wanted to incorporate missions where you were forced to stay close to the ground - they should have changed the story a bit - and have you transfered to the SDF-1 after bursting point - and have to fly missions in the city onboard the sdf-1 - then you would actually have a reason for a flight cieling (the roof)

Second - if you are a big fan of Robotech - you will realise there is a serious flaw in the time frame of the game vs what happens on the missions. Most of this game is supposed to take place after the war but before Kyhron goes after the SDF-1. The problem is you end up going on missions where you end up fighting 100's of battle pods. While that makes sense early on - it certainly is not at all appropriate when you consider there are only a few thousand Zentradi malcontents at this point (pre Malcontent uprisings for all you seriously die hards)and they have a very limited supply of mecha (and not much protoculture to use it.) I know this sounds really picky - but to be honest after the way the Matrix incorporated the plot of the game with the plot of the movie - I think the bar has been raised substantially for film and TV tie ins.

BUT BUT BUT!- I will say this for the feel of the STORY -it is very authentic - it - like everything Robotech is tragic. It has a great commander that is very Lisa Hayes. The appearances by the originals are great - the way they incorporate Roy's death is great as well. The vs environment Rocks - actually it is the best thing about the game - and with the price now under 20 bucks i would reconmend the game just for that. If you dont like the story - then just use a cheat code to unlock all the environments you can play in. (The only thing I whish they would have added was a MAX vs Myria level set inside the SDF-1 - where you and a friend (girlfriend whoose into Robotech?) could re enact the great battle.』

(One of the finest last-gen games.)
『Yes yes yes, I agree, one of the greatest games of all time! Sometimes confusing what to do but being persistant makes for a very satisfying game to finish.』

(Wow.. Wow..WOW...~!! Part 2)
『I wrote the last review A little over 2 and 1/2 years ago, and im happy to say that they are making a sequel to Beyond Good and Evil. Dreams do come true! Yayyyyy~!!!』

(Wow.... Wow.... WOW~!!!!!!!)
『Two things: 1) It is sooooo sad that there is no sequel to this game out there to be found. 2) It's very hard to put into words my feelings about how great this game is. It is the best game that i've ever played, and among the 100+ games that I own, no other game has yet to make me as happy playing it more than Beyond Good and Evil has . I have 2 copies (one for game cube and one for x-box). Great story, beautiful graphics, nice action, wonderful music, and loads of fun. Sometimes it takes a lot to spend time and energy playing a game, but this is one game that's really worth it. I only hope that a sequel is made someday. It would be a shame if one wasn't.』

(Neglected Beauty)
『Beyond Good&Evil is one of the best, yet most overlooked games available, however, those who have played it know exactly what everyone else is missing out on, a fantastic gaming experience.

Today's video game market is being flooded by the overflow of endless first person shooters and cookie cutter adventure games; Beyond Good&Evil is something fresh and unique. It combines elements from many different game genres. There is the stealth factor: Using Stealth to your advantage is essential to make any progress in the game and is very well executed - this is likely due to the fact that the game was created by Ubi, the developers of the ground breaking series of stealth action games - Splinter Cell. There is the action/fighting aspect in which you punish your enemies with Jade's Dai-Jo Staff techniques and tag team combo moves with the help of your friends Pey'j and Double H. This is somewhat reminiscent of Prince of Persia's fighting system, well done and very intuitive. Also on the list of features is the camera system; throughout the game Jade must use her trusty camera to capture intelligence for the Allied Resistance, this not only gives your allies info to work with in order to help you further, it also gets you paid so you can get supplies and upgrades. The graphics are not the very greatest you have ever seen but are well executed and work well with the style of the game.

Beyond Good&Evil is a truly fantastic game that you should certainly hunt down and play when there is a lapse in your list of must buy new releases. It's a bargain bin dweller so it may be a little difficult to get your hands on but it's worth the effort. Its unique style and easy learning curve make it accessible to children but its depth and ever-changing universe are enough to keep even the most jaded adult gamers engaged and thoroughly entertained.

(This game is the BOMB!)
『I am not a hard core gamer, but do own over 50 xbox games, and this was one of the best I have ever played! The characters and story line are great! I have played many other highly touted games, i.e. Halo, Halo2 etc. and though different, this game ranks up there with the best! If you have never played it, I highly reccomend that you grab a copy and do! And since it is an older game now, you can also get a great price on it. I would rank this as one of the 5 best games that I have played in all time.』

(!!!!DONT LISTEN TO THEM!!!!)
『Don't listen to the other reviews. I got the game a long long time ago, and I still love to play it. I do agree that some of the minigames could have some major improvement; but despite this, one minigame is very, very, fun to do. The high jump minigame is what I mainly do on this game. (besides races) Also the races the cars you're racing are accually not like a four year old is driving them. They try to run you off the road, smash you, stay directly in front of you, and pass you. It is a game that accually might have a possibility of beating you. Also when you crash you don't have some stupid damage bar, your car gets dented where it was hit. If you don't like games where you might lose, don't get this game. If you like games that are accually a challenge and fun, this is the game for you. I think this is the best racing game for the xbox council hands down!』

(Worth exactly $10)
『Flatout is a very average racing game with average cars and a below-average soundtrack. The car handling is spotty and the graphics aren't Burnout Revenge quality by a long shot but not too bad either. I think the developers made a mistake by only having crappy junk cars and the soundtrack is lame. But the minigames make this a solid $10 used game purchase. The games where you hurl the driver through the windshield at targets are fun and the damage to the cars is very good too. Don't pay too much for this game and you might not be too disappointed.』

(Interesting Physics but Poor Graphics and Sound)
『Flat Out is a racing game that rewards you for smashing into other cars. You're expected to run dirty. Minigames involve things like flinging your driver the longest distance.

You can be a guy or a girl, and you can choose from a variety of car options. Once you get into the races, what you usually notice first is the rag doll physics of the drivers - as they get flung from their cars. Most racing games focus on the cars - but in this one, you can achieve gory death for yourself or others by the lack-of-seatbelt ejection.

I appreciated the different worlds you run in - on regular race tracks, on off-road dirt through forests, on snowy trails, and so on. However, everything seemed very "muddy" to me - and often it was hard to see on the screen what was road and what was brown near-road-but-not-driveable. Maybe their aim was to have all obstacles camoflagued, but in practice it made it not fun to drive towards an open spot and smash into something there.

So in general I wasn't keen on the graphics. Normally I love deformable objects, including cars. However, these cars didn't look like they were "dented" realistically. It seemed more like a plasic object had melted strangely.

The sounds were even worse. I was quite not-fond of most of the songs played in the soundtrack, and the RRRRR RRRRRR RRRRRRRRRRR of the cars must've been generated on a sound machine.

I didn't find the driving part to be that bad, and I do enjoy racing games in general. However, since I do own several other racing games, I'm not sure why I would put one of those down to play this instead. I really don't think the "flying humans out of the car" aspect makes up for the many other problems inherent in this game. Maybe if they come out with a sequel that has the same physics but better graphics and sound, it will start to come up to speed.』

(Diamond in the Rough)
『I find the complaint that Flatout is too difficult, interesting when that is one of the game's main assets. I find this theme of dirtroad junkcar racing rather lacking in the market compared to the overcooked city style street racing and it's good to see something come out that is a little unique and challenging. While racing, there's no wide berth for making moves, plenty of fast opponents that are hard to keep up with and many of them are surprisingly aggressive when it comes to fighting for position up to and including the last lap. I was rarely short on taking a win by half a car length or less. Best of all, the courses are not forgiving, making precision a must. Shortcuts are not shortcuts, but tests of nerve to not mess up a well earned lead.

I found the extra games like bowling and darts funny in a macarbe sort of way, but their appeal doesn't last. Camera angles, especially from the dash is lacking, and upgrading cars seems more of a natural progression rather than requiring any strategy. Keeping a garage of cars would have been great. On the otherhand, the graphics are fair, but the atmosphere and design is excellent. Tracks are true to their locale being littered with junk cars, tractor trailers for ramps, and roads that wind through rural landscapes reminiscent of the south or the northwest.

There are flaws to be sure, but if you like slim odds and aggressive racing, don't count this one out entirely.

(One amusing gimmick can't compensate for an unfinished product)
『A novel concept is generally the first step taken by any developer with aims at creating a new franchise amidst the crowded market of today's gaming landscape. There's been a lot of ground covered over the last thirty years, but there's also plenty of room left for innovation, and if you're going to stand out on the shelves, you're going to need a hook. In Flatout, that hook is certainly not lacking, (it's the only game I can think of that features... no, downright flaunts... a fleet of fully-ejectable drivers) but it falls into the very first pitfall in its way. This game takes that unique twist which gives it an identity and attempts to use it as a bandage to salvage what would otherwise be an underdeveloped, unremarkable, entirely forgettable title. What's worse, that single little identifying gimmick has an incredibly short shelf life and only serves to irritate beyond the first hour or two of gameplay.

Actual gameplay is in dire need of some serious polishing, with minor bugs resulting in big-time dilemmas as the races grow more difficult. As I've already mentioned, the big story here is the engine's ability to eject a car's driver following a rough collision, which gains points for ingenuity, but loses them right back for implementation. Sure, it makes a revenge kill twice as rewarding when you can actually see the opposing driver suffering a grisly death after you've forced his car into a telephone pole, but the first time you hop a curb and watch your own lifeless driver hurl himself through the windshield, you'll start to curse the day you thought rag-doll physics were the least bit amusing. Of course, no real dire circumstances result from your driver slamming unprotected into the side of a barn at 82 MPH, as you'll respawn a few moments later, but the act of losing a few seconds every time it happens completely derails your own momentum and often takes you completely out of the race. Playing catch-up is the real game in Flatout.

The finer details of the title's engine are never fully explained in-game, as I had to consult more than one online guide before realizing that nitro boosts are awarded in the middle of a race, depending on how many obstacles you actually hit, and how large said obstacles actually are. Debris only seems to award these bonuses upon the very first time they're struck, but remain on the track throughout the race. This adds a touch of additional personality to the game, as almost every car is seeking out the big landmarks like a guided missle on lap one and the track is usually thoroughly trashed and tough to navigate by its conclusion.

Of course, it must've been a little bit too much to ask for the development team to leave well enough alone in this regard, and sure enough, there's a flaw or two. What's destructible in one track (and thus, the object of desire, as it carries with it a small nitro bonus) is frequently rock-solid in the next, resulting in (you guessed it) a brutal driver ejection and, usually, the loss of any lead you may have accumulated. As I'm sure you can imagine, this results in an uncontrollable flinch every time your car comes close to a fairly-sized obstacle, for fear it will result in death rather than rewards. Even more wonderful is the way small items such as a stray tire or a dislodged bumper, which frequently litter the track after lap two, react in wildly unpredictable fashion upon coming into contact with the front of your car. Sometimes they'll bounce harmlessly off to the side of the track, others they'll hang out on your grill for a while, killing your momentum, and occasionally they'll result in driving the nose of your car toward the sky, which always leads to a terrible, highlight reel wreck, complete with cartwheeling car and airborne driver. Considering how frequently these things appear, it's not a matter of if you'll hit them, but when, and how kind they'll be to your car.

The mini-games you'll unlock while progressing through the single player mode, which were featured significantly in the game's promotional bits (and were probably single-handedly responsible for my own purchase) really aren't even remotely as much fun as they appeared on TV, and are limited at best. They really highlighted the "HAHA LOOK WE'RE PLAYING DARTS WITH PEOPLE" aspect of the game in these ads, but neglected to mention the fact that you get three tosses per game, with no option to play a legitimate game of 301, cricket or anything even partially entertaining. It's a straightforward three tosses, with the highest scoring player named the victor. The same goes for bowling, the long jump the high jump, etcetera. They're like the mini-games of Super Monkey Ball 2, just significantly limited, drained of all the fun and difficult for new players to grasp.

In-game controls are tough to think about without wanting to curl up and cry for a spell. Whether you're driving the cheapest car on the lot or the most souped up monster available, turning is almost laughably bad. Your cars don't turn, so much as they rotate and slide. Whether you're on a filthy patch of snow or fresh asphalt on a sunny day, your car handles exactly the same. Likewise, no matter which vehicle you're sitting atop, every single computer driver on the track is faster off the line than you are. I didn't think I'd noticed any change when I poured all of my race-earnin's into a new engine, guaranteed to deliver faster acceleration right out of the box, and sure enough, when I was driving the fastest car available with ever possible enhancement applied, I was still being kicked off the line by the slowest car in the race. It's always nice to have a handicap, I guess.

The graphics are average for the current state of the Xbox, which basically means they're the best part of this package. They aren't completely fugly, but they're far from the most impressive thing I've ever seen. Some of the particle effects are fairly well done, especially during and after a nasty wreck, but you're usually so preoccupied by your car's hesitance to take a turn that you won't even notice. The speed effects of using up some of your stashed nitro is cool, but doesn't really hold a candle to what Burnout did before Flatout's release. The terrains and surrounding textures are imaginative, but very sparse, especially when you take away the standard break-away objects that litter the roadways and are shared by all courses. This isn't a game that's going to completely blow away your impressions of what a game can do, visually, and occasionally shows evidence of being hurried out the door in a state of incompletion.

Where Flatout's visuals are mediocre at best, the game's audio is a downright disaster. The revs, grinds and hums of the cars, engines and tires are far too loud by default, and again fail to distinguish one car from another. Is that my car struggling up the hill, or is another driver right up my ass, ready to make a pass? Don't look to the audio for the answer. While most racing games contain similarly lame, repetitive sound effects, there's just something about what Flatout brings to this table that's a little bit more irritating than its peers. That engine is a bit more piercingly shrill than the one I heard in Project Gotham, the tires much more vague, hollow and shy of personality than those I heard in the most recent Mario Kart.

Flatout isn't a finished product. It is, at best, a great concept stretched far too thin over a below-average mullet-themed racing title. It's barely worth a rental, and certainly not worth busting out at a party, for all to enjoy. The graphics are unrefined, the audio is the kind of garbage that forces fingers to race for mute buttons, the controls are completely ridiculous, and there's nothing around that's driving you to reach that next goal. If you enjoy crap, or are easily amused by floating human bodies, you've found the promised land, but if you're looking for a breath of fresh air in a crowded industry, your holy grail remains elusive.』

『Buyer beware. The photo of this product shows a microphone and states it comes with a case and manual. My son order this and got a scratched disk in an envelope. No CASE, No Manual, and no microphone. Try to find someone to contact on the Amazon home page. Go Ahead I dare you. I will never purchase anything from Amazon again.』

(Who cares about the game)
『This is one of the worst games ever released for xbox, but thats not the point, the point to buy this game is that its the only way to transfer music and videos to you xbox without hacking it. So this is definately a primo choice for only 9 bucks. So if you want to transfer files to your xbox this is your one and only choice w/ out voiding your warrenty. Definate a worthy buy.』

(What a POS, do NOT waste your time)
『I was hoping to find a simple way to play mp3s across a network on the xbox. This product looked promising. I realized that it would not stream the music from a share but rather require importing, however I thought I would give it a try.

What a horrible, horrible product. I am giving it one star becauae it at least has potential.

Microsoft, listen up. This product sucks. Its interface is horrible, its too cludgy, doing simple things are not simple.

For instance, transfering songs onto the unit works with id3 tags. I hate this. Let it work with file names for frig sakes. I dont want to sort by album or genre, I want to be able to sort by folder!

Piece of crap. [...]』

(Avoid; Pricey and Disapointing)
『Terrible in almost every way. Not HD (as claimed), ugly UI, overpriced and poor quality karaoke tracks, difficult to use, and poorly integrated with existing Windows networks. This is a product that cries out for seamless integration with your home music library which the current Xbox deliberately avoids. The few karaoke tracks that are available are overpriced and not what anyone really wants to play with anyway.』

(Not what you would think)
『All the negative reviews...shame too...this is a great product to have FUN with. It might not be a great microphone or have a lot of songs but it has everything you need and more to have a good time.

Let me explain...

The microphone is not that great but it is good considering the price. Your not buying it for the microphone. Good Microphones don't come cheap but for the price this one is good.

The software itself is pretty freaking cool. It doesn't have a lot of songs for karaoke but you can strip the background off of the cd's you do have...and you can run this program without the disc so you can change CD's randomly without having to reload the program.

You can always buy Karaoke CD's from Wal-Mart or here at Amazon.com and use with it...it is cheap to do it that way and you can build an AWESOME collection of Karaoke CD's to use with this or on another CD player.

I paid 19.99 for mine and let me say for the price you can't beat it. I love it. I have used it more in the last few days than most of my games for X-Box.

Don't listen to those negative reviews, I am a musician (singer) and have been for most of my life. I tell you this product is worth it!』

(Decent)
『I own the original and had played "Round 3" a while back, so I bought "Round 2" because it was a bit cheaper. In my opinion, buy "Round 3." I think it's a better game.』

(I'm Ready To Fight!!!!)
『This game is the best boxing game so far (that's until Round 3 come out). The graphics are great plus the soundtrack and the haymaker I love that haymaker. It's a very easy game to get hooked to. The best thing about this game is that you can do combos and knockouts out this world. You should get this game and you will love it. I got this for New Year's and it was the best of the best.』

(Great Improvement Over first one)
『I purchased this game because I enjoyed the first. The only problem I had with the first one was that it was very difficult to get high in the ranks before you were forced to retire. In this installment of the game you can just keep fighting, although with the slow loss of stats biting at your heals. The mini games to build your stats are easier. If you try to take the easy way out and to the auto train, you get lower results and can potentially hurt yourself, which in turn lowers stats. The gameplay itself is practially identical, with the addition of the haymaker. This is a more powerful hook or uppercut that takes more energy. A few well timed haymakers can turn the tides in almost any fight.
Changing weightclasses and unifying belts is a great addition as well.
Really nothing to say bad about this game other than it only has so much replayability. After you retire one fighter, making another is kinda fun, but you can only do that so many times.』

(More realistic than the first, but less fun...)
『..Let me explain. The first Fight Night game introduced a new realism in boxing video games. It had realistic characters boxing styles stances, and a setup in which you could choose to fight a faster paced style, or one dedicated to more power. In Round 2 you see an improvement in detail, especially in the faces of the boxers. You are also introduced to something new which is the haymaker...which is both good and bad.

The haymaker, as you probably already know, is a punch where you put all of your might in order to try to score a knockout. The problem with this game is that it is very much focused around that one particular punch...and power in general. Your bob and weave doesn't seem to be as effective this time around...and if one of your punches is paried...your arms fall for 2 or 3 seconds, pretty much guaranteeing the opponent will get a haymaker in. This makes the game feel very cheap..unlike in the first Fight Night game, where a parry leaves you open for a split second..which seems more realistic. Also, the movements of the characters seem choppier than last time.

There are other new additions, such as playing a cornerman, and tending to cuts and swelling between the rounds and the ability to chose between two types of training before fights.

In closing..if the gameplay was more like the first fight this game would be absolutely perfect. I grew tired of getting a punch blocked and standing there like an idiot until I got busted by a haymaker』

(Almost Real!!!)
『This game is a great fighting game. You can create a person and start a career! When you punch people in the face they slowy begin to swell and then a cut will open and they begin to bleed! Every time you punch them blood splaters off their faces.
When you start off playing career mode you can make your own boxer or play with a known boxer. You start off in last place out of 50 other boxers you slowly work your way up to first place, then when you get to first place you have to defend your tittle!
There isn't much to tell about this game, just that it has good graphics, good joyicestick control, and that its a good game.』

『EA SPORTS Fight Night Round 2 Xbox EA SPORTS Fight Night Round 2 continues to deliver innovative gameplay via the analog Total Punch Control mechanic, allowing gamers to throw multiple punches, block, bob and weave with complete precision and control. Packing in more fearsome punches, players can now dominate the ring with the all-new EA SPORTS Haymaker allowing gamers to knock down their opponents with one devastating blow by adding extra power to each punch. Every hit counts in the game with powerful punches inflicting dynamic injuries on opponents, and thus reducing a fighter's ability to defend himself. 『This game is so fun.It is just fun to make jurassic park.It is genesis to make a game like this.I like making the dinosaurs, geting new atrractions, everything!I realy like making the dinosaurs get loose. You need to buy this game!』

(BEST JP GAME EVER!)
『i am amazed at this game i hated all the other jurassic park games but this is the best.
the graphics are pretty and the dinosaurs look very similar to thier counterparts in the films. If you love the movies and like games like zoo tycoon then you should get this.
you make your very own deathtrap,uh i mean dinosaur preserve.u hav to check on security
and whether ur customers are happy or not andd u have to see if ur dinos r doin OK.
and thiers a cool option called sight B that u can unlock once u beat all the missions
its were u can make as much dinosaurs as u want and u cant make any buildings and
u watch ur dinos roam free.thats basicllay Jp Operation genesis in a nutshell.』

(Jurassic Park right in your own home!)
『I originally purchased this game for my 7 year old son and after watching him play it for endless hours, I started to sneak my own playtime after he went to bed.

I soon realized that this game is more addictive than any Sim game I've ever played.

The graphics are simply amazing! There is nothing like having the controller shake in your hand as you zoom into to see your T-Rex or Spinosaurus chomp on their prey.

There are plenty of dinosaurs to choose from and several items to build to help please your guests. Don't be afraid to experiment and watch your herbivores move in packs!

Even when you have built everything you can and have researched everything possible, the sheer beauty of the game draws you to just stand back and watch your creation.

This is a must buy for any Xbox and dinosaur fan of any age.』

(Neat game)
『This is a great game for the xbox. I'm not a fan of any sim games, but this was fun. The graphics are good and so is the sound, although it would have been nicer to have some more sounds and music. You can play missions, build a park, or play site B. You can unlock site B by successfully completing each of the missions. The missions are not hard, I beat all but 2 in 1 try and the others in 2 trys, so don't hold your breath there. The site B is ok, I guess, you just make Dinos and watch them....so what. The best part of the game is the park building! It's fun and provides alot of replay value ie. you'll never have the same site, park, starting dinos, layout, etc, so have it! It is on the easy side so kids should be able to do it. It's a little too easy that's why a four star rating.
Pros: 1. its Jurassic park 2. graphics 3. alot of controls 4. easy to learn 5. built in tutorials 6. great camera 7. ability to do your own shooting, rescuing, shot giving. 8. Great replay value.
Cons: 1. almost too easy 2. more sounds/noise/music needed
3. more levels of control 4. enough with the emails already!
5. need to be able to set default orders to eliminate email questions (otherwise what do those people have those jobs for?)』

(I AM HELP FUL)
