Since then we have shared it with others who decided the same thing. What is great about it is that kids can play along and reap the educational benefit without it really affecting the fun for the older players. This game is fun for the whole family. It also teaches children new words and spelling. There is no board required and you are building off your own words. You are playing independantly and as a group. You can also play this game alone. Challenging and rewarding! Great Game! We were given this gift by 2 different relatives for Christmas last year. We like to play games&we have been making our friends play Bananagrams with us on a regular basis&everyone loves it. It doesn't take long to play and you get better with every game. Kids in my family age 8 to age 80 have enjoyed this, including me, the person who always has better things to do than play games. I have one and have bought 3 others as gifts. My one complaint is the lack of spaces between the gamers. Everything else is quite nice for non active kids of this day, and age. Though I would recommend an open area to play. The bigger the better, and soft for falls. Carpets verse hardwood or title floors. If, playing, outside keep mat on a level surface. Avoid locations with tripping hazards, or little room to move. I was surprised when my kids wanted this toy. They like playing it and I'm sure you already know the game since it has been around for quite some time. Twister is a fun game especially for kids but of course adults can play, too. It also gives younger kinds the opportunity to identify colors and work on their coordination. Twister is a bit crazy but an awful lot of fun. Someone (perhaps an adult) spins the wheel and people playing the game take turns placing their right or left hands and their right and left feet on the different colors (green, yellow, blue and red) on the mat. The game usually results in kids laughing and having fun while they play the game; and I doubt that a parent would mind spinning the wheel so the kids can some fun. Although people can play this game anyway they want, usually the person who keeps their hands and feet everywhere they should be the longest wins the game. Players can be disqualified for not placing their hands and feet on the correct different colored dots on the Twister mat. As other reviewers note, it is a lot of fun for the adults to watch the kids try to keep up with the game! The game is also easy to store. The Twister game mat, which is made of plastic, folds up neatly into a comparatively small mat that can be stored on a shelf or in the box along with the spinning wheel that comes with this game. Overall, I highly recommend this game for younger children and the kids in all of us. It's inexpensive and a lot of fun. With proper care the spinning wheel never breaks and the Twister mat is relatively long lasting, too. Purchased this for my son, daughter-in-law, and young grandchildren for Christmas and it was a great hit with the entire family, something that everyone can participate in.
