Before, my husband had to try to sleep with my bedside light turned on so that I could read. Now, I use this light. It easily clips to the back cover and doesn't push the kindle too far forward. I love that there are two settings - really bright and a little dimmer. The flexible neck allows me to move the light whereever I need it. The light is easily adjusted so that there is no glare on the screen at all. Very powerful. Stays in place well. The only draw back is that the clip leaves a crimp mark on the leather cover. Maybe a small piece of cloth between the clip and the outer cover could prevent this. I've only had this for a couple of months and used it less than a dozen times. The switch sometimes doesn't work. I have to take a battery out to get the light to go off. The placement of the switch is poor too. It's too easy to turn it on accidentally if I'm carrying it in a purse or backpack. Excellent product. Works as advertised. Provides nice, clear, nonglare lighting of book page or of Kindle screen. I bought this light for my daughter, who I frequently catch with a book and a flashlight under her covers after bed time. I tried it out myself (in the dark) and can report that it has a lot of good attributes that are perfect for light-assisted reading. - It is light-weight, but does not feel fragile. - The batteries are common and are easy to change. - The spring clamp holds tightly to a group of pages. It doesn't fall off or slide when turned upside-down. - The wire neck also holds its position perfectly. It's very easy to adjust and stays precisely in place. - The two-setting light is bright (on both settings) and a clean white color. My two suggestions for improvement would be, first, to have a third LED in the head that is not a super LED and would put out less light. My eyes can adapt very well to the dark and both of the current settings are more than enough. And second, to increase the lever portion of the spring clamp a little so it is easier to de-clamp from the book. It has an odd feel since the lever end is almost right over the hinge/fulcrum. Neither of these things are enough to detract from the fact that this is an excellent product and deserves a five star rating. I read a lot, often in unusually/unconventional places and getting an adequate amount of light for me is always an issue. Mighty Bright book light resolves most of my problems, as it is both a convenient an inexpensive way of obtaining more light wherever I end up reading. The two LED light bulbs provide enough light and are quite adequate for even the darkest room. The switch button is conveniently located at the top of the light where it can be easily reached. It can be turned on by a slightest touch, which means that you don't have to readjust the book light's position each time you turn it on or off. One can use the same switch to switch between using one or both of the light bulbs. The neck for this book light is sturdy yet very flexible and adjustable. It can be positioned in a virtually infinite number of configurations. The base at a first sight seemed bulky, but after using it for a while it turned out to be unobtrusive. It uses three AAA batteries and because of its size it can double as a stand when one is positioning the light on a flat surface. The clip can be used to attach this light to a book of almost any size. Overall, this is a vary useful and well designed product. It sets a standard for book lights. This is a fabulous light... very bright, batteries last a long time, clips easily and securely. The book light has a powerful LED that is more than adequate for illuminating any sized pages for the purpose of reading. Its flexible head also allows for easy readjustment. Definitely an easy to use book light. It is also durable. I just throw it in my back pack for longer trips and it holds up fine even though I just kinda throw my back pack around. This was my first book light so I do not have a lot to compare it to. The only problem is for paper back books, despite the clamp being able to hold a large number of pages it still felt a bit flimsy and I had to keep my hand on the base of the light while I read. Not much of a problem but if you opt for a lighter model you would have that problem. Overall definitely worth the price. I think I got it for $10 through Amazon. Very nice product, does what it promises to do. The only thing I would improve on it is the stifness of the flexible shaft. (A solid coffee maker, but not quite perfect) (Finally! HOT, consistently great coffee) (Best Coffee Maker Ever!) (Quality name, but glaring oversights in design) This may very well be the best coffee maker I have ever owned. The best part is...it doesn't burn or cook the coffee while in the resevoir! Coffee is super hot, stays hot for hours, and has that fresh brewed taste all day. I will turn it on to warm up long after it has shut off and it still doesn't burn the coffee. The resevoir is super easy to clean, everything fits neatly together. Simply lift the entire resevoir out, lift out the gold basket, rinse, lift out the basket holder, rinse, then pour out the left over coffee (yeah, right, like there is ever any left over coffee!) rinse that unit, then place back in main unit. Water fill location is easy and convenient, too. Controls are simple to use! Love it! I will never stray to any other type of coffee maker again. And FINALLY...NO STUPID glass caraffe! Buy it, you'll love it! We got this coffee maker as a gift recently, and overall I'm very pleased with it. It produces very good hot coffee consistently, it's easy to use, and looks good on the counter. The empty/full gauge on the front is a really handy feature too. It's not perfect though... Trying to fill a tall mug (like the insulated travel mug I use) is cumbersome since it doesn't fit under the dispenser. You have to take out the drip tray to expose a cut-out in the base (which I presume is there for this purpose) and then pull the coffee maker forward so it's halfway off the counter to get enough clearance. Also, filling the reservoir with water without spilling any takes a bit of practice. The opening you need to pour the water into is small, and it's tough to get an angle on it. Finally, the clock on it is very small and the quartz display is hard to read unless you're really close to it. This really isn't a big deal since I've got a few other devices in the kitchen with clocks on them, just don't buy this with the intent of using it as a clock as well. Overall, this is a very good coffee maker, and I plan on keeping it and getting many years of good service out of it, but my lifelong quest for the perfect coffee maker continues. We bought this after owning a different Cuisinart model (with the built-in grinder and thermal carafe) and being unhappy with the practically lukewarm coffee it made. The old model also leaked which left marks on my counter top. So as you can imagine, we weren't keen on another Cuisinart. But an office where I sometimes work as a freelancer had this one, and I knew from using it there that I loved it. Now that we've owned it at home for 5 months, I have to say we LOVE it even more than we thought we would. First of all, the coffee comes out H-O-T! No more do I have to microwave it to get it to drinking temperature. Second, it keeps it just as hot for a full 2 hours (after that it shuts off automatically), but since the coffee is not sitting on a burner it doesn't get that "cooked" taste. Third, we've made as few as 4 cups and (more often) as many as the full 12, and the coffee comes out perfectly every time. No grinds in the coffee (another problem we've had with previous makers), NO leaking at all. Just consistently great coffee that definitely compares with the gourmet coffee shops. I highly recommend this coffee maker! I have owned this model coffee maker for 8 years and never had any problems. Yes, you need to use a pitcher to put the water in (bought one for $1.99); no, a travel mug doesn't fit under the dispenser (fill a regular mug and pour it into the travel mug); yes, you can keep coffee in the internal carafe (I am the only coffee drinker in my house and it usually takes me 2-3 days to get through 12 cups); yes, it does spill if you move it after filling it (why would you do that?). A year ago, I had to finally get rid of my 1200 to upgrade to this. Don't be afraid, this is a great purchase. I've written very few reviews, but this one needed to be written. We had a Hamilton Beach Brewstation for about 3 years and really liked it. The lid eventually broke and the coffee started tasting weird--even after many cleanings so we sadly "retired" it. When I went looking for a new one I prerused the reviews like you are now. This Cuisinart DCC-2000 came up with mixed reviews alongside our favorite Brewstation. I thought I would try something new and since we just built a new house the stainless design would compliment our counter space. But I must say here is the summary of our opinion on the Cuisinart DCC-2000 after owning it for six months. Pros: Looks really nice and classy sitting on your counter. Name recognition will earn you brownie points with the materialistic elite. Fortify your status and clout with those visitors who judge you by what you own. Cons: Aesthetically, (IM0) it is a bit too sterile looking--square and symetrical--which will appeal to many. It seems that it should be on a standing NASA P.O. for the staff lounge at Cape Canaveral. The critiques that note the difficulty of getting water in the machine are valid. I should say that "getting water in it without getting water all over" is the trick. I am 48, but my hand-eye coordination is still pretty good. There is virtually no possible way to get water into this machine "consistently", with or without a special container designed to pour water into difficult openings. Even if you manage to get the water in the official opening, the water filter will inadvertantly, fall over blocking your best attempts and water will flood the counter. Keep a rag ready--maybe two. Furthermore, if you manage to get the water near the appropriate opening, but not quite, then THAT water will be directed down to a tray where, you guessed it, water quickly fills up and joins its watery cousin on the counter as well. The Brewstation had a design that allowed the caffeine-deprived individual to shove their shaking cup under the dispenser with one hand while gently pushing, which in turn, filled the cup. The Cuisinart's shortcoming albeit trite to some, is that you must place the cup under the dispenser and THEN reach up and push down on the lever. This design is futher complicated by the fact that one cannot see the level of the coffee being dispensed until it right at the top. The square design casts a shadow right over the cup whereas the Brewstation's design is round and illuminates the inside of the cup thus confirming its design brilliance. I paid around $90 for the Cuisinart and could have had the Brewstation for a 1/3 less, but I will be keeping this machine until it dies. Which may be quite some time. The Cuisinart seems to be made of quality materials, but designed poorly. I can say that I long for the day that this machine gives up the ghost, because THAT day will be a happy day. I will place an order for my old friend, the Brewstation, and will wait with trepidation for its arrival. I'll take great pleasure in taking my son out for his weekly target practice on our property. We will set the Cuisinart at 50 yards and giving it a last smoke and a blindfold we will execute it for crimes most heinous to coffee-lovers everywhere. Flawless artwork, splendid performance, excellent recording, superb sound. Silent Night choral version is most impressive. Other tracks could be labeled as 'flat' were it not for her voice. Guess she could have given her personal touch to more traditional Christmas stuff as others have done. Being of the Jewish faith, I was a little hesitant to buy this album, knowing it was suppose to be an Christmas inspired album. However, also being an avid Enya fan, I decided to buy this album and listen to it with an open mind. And I am so glad I did. Not only did this album not sound like a commercialized Christmas album, it reminded me of the music Enya had done on her first four or five albums. Even though there are some references to Christmas, they are few and far between. No Enya fan will be disappointed in this album. The melodies are very well layered, very lush and simply heavenly to listen to. As one of the previous posters said, only one song caught me by surprise and that was "My, My Time Flies!", but it surprised me in a very good way. I love every song on this album, but my favorites are "Trains and Winter Rains", "Dreams are more Precisous", "Last Time by Moonlight", "One Toy Soldier" and of course "My, My, Time Flies!". Overall, this is a great album for any time of the year. I love this album. It has the typical Enya stuff that I both expect and love. Some of my favorite tracks though are the more upbeat numbers. I am especially fond of the song about the toy soldier. It is very sweet and and again has a catchy beat. She started out as a Really Great Singer with a silky, smooth voice who can turn gutsy on a single note; her music and lyrics (credits to her co-writers, too) have matured in a very short time. (get the latest ipod for FREE) Well, when i ordered this CD I did expect it to be good since i knew the songs, but it was even better!! The poster that followed with it was really cool :D It's totally worth the money! After reading some of other people's reviews I thought I should write one myself... If you've read the books but haven't seen the movie, I don't think you should buy this soundtrack. I've read the books (and while I enjoyed them, I have issues with Bella's strength as a character) but I loved the movie (specifically the strength that Kristen Stewart brought to Bella) and therefore loved the soundtrack because I remember how the songs were matched up with the movie. Tracks 5-7 are a little iffy for me, I usually skip them, but I thought all the other tracks were great. I found it surprising how much I liked all of these bands that I've never heard of. I couldn't get enough of the Muse and Paramore. Also: a lot of people complain about Robert Pattinson's song, which is understandable--he does mumble a lot. But he's also mentioned that he gets some inspiration from Van Morrison. If you compare VM's and RP's versions of "I'll be your man" I think it'd help people see where he's coming from. So, considering who inspires him musically, I think Pattinson is a great musician and he shows a really different side of him (much more serious and intimate) than he does in his interviews--when he's really just joking around all the time. I would agree with the other reviewers that Bella's lullaby could have been a lot better suited for what people thought her lullaby s
