This chair does not come with the extension rope that is mentioned in the instructions. Currently hanging from my back patio cover joist (which is 7' off the ground) this chair's bottom is about 40" off the ground. Clearly too high to get into, much less get out of. I emailed the company's support and they said they do not offer the extension rope and that "last year's model" came with it but not this one. I thought it was a good deal at $30.50 shipped, but now I have to go buy nylon rope and attach it manually, hoping I can tie a sailor's knot appropriately and my family doesn't bust their A$$ sitting in it. The other one I have, which I paid $70 for, doesn't need an extension rope the rope itself is long enough. I think next time I'd prefer to just spend more money and get something engineered out of the box to work without "accessories" required.
I was looking for another swing chair to replace one that had finally broken (unfortunately when someone sat in it). This one seemed like such a good price and so far has been an excellent product. It was already assembled in the box, so all I had to do was hang it up -- easy! Yes, the material is just a little thinner than one that I had earlier but that hasn't affected it in any way, it's still a very comfortable place to sit. I've enjoyed using it very much. The cup holder plus the bag for storage are nice extras too.
We had a rope chair hammock--it was wonderful!! we needed a new chair hammock when that one collapsed--i saw this one and was very impressed--bought it--no great instructions on how to hang ot--the rope hammock had a ring and hook thingy to hang on a secured ringlet of sorts--this one did not--it was the biggest problem--my husband hooked it up--however it would have to stay out during winter--spring--summer--fall--rain--wind--snow--etc--we have had it for several years--3-4 yrs--always outside in the shore area and salt-air--this year it has a worn area in the seat--it hasn't ripped--it is just worn--we are going to purchase a new one just because swinging in the summer breeze looking up at the stars--listening to the the waves--was way better and cheaper than sleeping pills or a shrink--it was WOOONNNDERFUl!!!! get one--or two. WE loved it! My husband is a large fellow 275+ and it worked for him.

Although the retail price for this chair is $70, I purchased one similar at a fair for about $70 and it is a bit better than this one. However, when you can get this chair for $20, it is worth it. The areas where this chair doesn't quite stack up to my $70 model are:

1. Arm straps are no sewn in, they slip freely along the wooden poles. You can rectify this by wedging them in there or perhaps use a staple gun, tack, or nail. I wedged mine in and it is okay - just not as comfortable as the other one.

2. Foot rest fabric is larger, but thinner, which makes it a bit more challenging to use; this is a very small difference.

3. Stitching is not as solid, but I think the chair should last a while. The stitching on the more expensive chair I have is more thorough and in lining around the connection points are much thicker.

This chair has two water drainage holes in the seat, so standing water shouldn't be a problem. I live in Phoenix area AZ, so it is fairly dry here - not a good testing ground to see how well it holds up to wet conditions.

Overall, I am glad I purchased this chair and I expect that it will last a long time. The more expensive chair will probably last longer, and is more comfortable, but for $20, I have no complaints.

The chair itself is great. You feel completely weightless in it when you get it set up right..the only problem is the scimpy directions..just some random pencil-liike sketches that make no mentions of the assembly, only the actual hanging of it..once you figure it out...its heaven..and for 20 bucks....well worth it...
We have seen these for years at the home shows and decided to go for it with Amazon due to the low price. They arrived quickly and assembled easily. VERY comfortable and fun. THink it would be cool for a small apartment or dorm room inside chair too (If your landlord don't mind you putting an anchor hole in the ceiling). Great chair...got 2 and LOVE them!

This is by far my favorite season of SATC, all of the Aidan episodes are great (my favorite Carrie bf) and one of my favorite episodes is I heart NY! A must have for any SATC fan.
I love Sex and the City I seriously watch it all the time, even the reruns on TBS. This season was a bit sad I was rooting for Carrie and Aiden to stay together!!! I cant wait for the sex and the city movie so I can complete my collection! For anyone whos debating about buying the sex dvds ITS A MUST HAVE!!!

(Joy of Sex)

The only connection here to the esteemed book is that our main (and desperate) character Alan (Cameron Dye) keeps a well thumbed copy with him in class. He pines for Leslie (Michelle Meyrink) who's considered off-limits because her father (Christopher Lloyd) is the overprotective lethal wrestling coach. Leslie is looking to"score"also - she misunderstands her doctor and thinks she only has a few months to live. Subplots revolving around Alan and Leslie's attempts to"lose it"include a confused exchange student from Mecca and an undercover policewoman (Colleen Camp) who's looking to bust a student named"Mushroom"Malone. Formula teen comedy offers some laughs and originality - not to mention a"fart lighting"contest.
I have seen this movie and if you want a good side splitting laugh get this movie. It will take you back to the hi jinks of your high school days. It is well worth the money to get it.

(POIGNANT COMING OF AGE STORY OF STAR-CROSSED LOVERS...)

This is a deft directorial effort by Elia Kazan. The name of the film comes from some telling lines of poetry from Wordsworth that are thematic for what transpires in the film. It is a beautifully acted, well told, coming of age story. It is also a story about young love in all its innocence and hopefulness.

The film takes the viewer to the bucolic Midwest of the nineteen twenties. There, the viewer meets small town, high school sweethearts, the lovely Wilma Dean Loomis (Natalie Wood) and the handsome and wealthy Bud Stamper (Warren Beatty). Wilma, "Deanie" to her friends, is head over heels in love with Bud, and he is head over heels in love with "Deanie". They want to get married right after graduation, and Bud wants to farm the family ranch.

The only problem is Bud's Father. He wants Bud to cool it with "Deanie" and to see other girls for the fun of it. He wants Bud to attend an Ivy League college and put off getting married. Bud tries to comply and cools it with "Deanie". The problem is that things had heated up between them before the breakup, and "Deanie" cannot adjust to being without Bud. Her heartbreak is palpable, and Natalie Wood's performance is so poignant, the viewer can just about hear her heart break, when she sees Bud with another girl. It is her yearning for what was that ultimately brings her to the bittersweet edge of despair. Likewise, it is Bud's yearning for "Deanie" that makes him behave in ways that are contrary to his own interests.

Well, the best laid plans often go awry, and things do not work out for Bud or "Deanie" the way they had originally planned. Their world is rent asunder by the vicissitudes of life and the impact of world events and others on their plans. What happens to "Deanie" and Bud when they come to a fork in the road, puts them on paths that may criss cross, but will never again see them travel on the same road at the same time. This is a heartrending story of star crossed lovers that is sure to touch the viewer. It is at the conclusion of the film that the beauty of Wordsworth's words are driven home and take root in the viewer's heart.
The story of two Kansas high school sweethearts growing up in the late 1920s through the stock market crash of 1929. Bud and Deanie are very much in love, but the pressures of sex in society creates a rift in their relationship. Bud's father encourages him to leave Deanie to find "another kind of girl" which drives Deanie into madness. She is committed into an institution while Bud reluctantly obeys his father and enrolls in Yale. The crash of '29 hits and changes the lives of both their families. Together they learn the harsh lesson of love and life in the '20s and sadly go their separate ways. This intense, tragic film marked the screen debut of Warren Beatty. In this case, old is definitely better! I had seen this movie several times on TV, but had missed scenes that had been cut for commercials (i.e., fashion show in color, while the rest of the movie was in b&w). Although the new version of this movie is up-to-date in its views of women, the original was definitely more "catty." Also, the new version missed out on the triumphant face-to-face scene between the wife and the other woman at the end of the original. Finally, the scene in the new version, with Meg Ryan's character eating the stick of butter, contained a line that simply ruined the movie. I say that because the message of a woman being able to survive without a man was lost with that one line and no mother (Meg) would want her daughter to think that's what it takes to "keep" a man...
The Women is a classic tale of love and betrayal and the in's and outs of love no matter the decade. Yes overly campy at times,it still is a great movie. Dont bother seeing the remake its absolutely terrible. But this is a classic with Joan Crawford as Crystal Allen,the seductress and man stealer! You cant go wrong with this movie.This is a must have in any series movie buff's collection.
Of course the original is better than the remake. The Women is a classic movie which shows the level of class (or lack of) women had back in the 30's. The fashion was fabulous! The remake does this movie NO justice

This has always been one of my favorite movies. You have to remember that it was filmed in 1939 and considering "women" were not big stars..men were the draw for the time. There is not a man in site. You don't even hear a male voice...I was amazed that it could be pulled off.

George Cukor, Hollywood's legendary "woman's director," had his hands full with the all-female cast of this 1939 film adaptation of the Clare Boothe play. I wanted to add this movie to my collection and it was almost $5 less than other places through Amazon's pre-order option. Great price, great service, great flick!
A little slow, not as funny as advertised ,but still a good movie. Was still enjoyable.
No regrets with buying this blu-ray release. Get it if you're a fan of Ashton or Cameron. Worth every cent!
I thought this was an extremely funny movie! Everyone did an awesome job&Ashton Kutcher and the sexy Cameron Diaz were perfect together! After a wild party in Vegas, Jack and Joy realize they got married, but they don't remember it. Jack wins a 3 million dollar Jackpot with Joy's quarter. Since they are married, have to share it, but they don't want to. Judge Whopper takes away the money until they go through six months of 'hard marriage' Throughout the months, Jack and Joy do all they can to drive the other crazy. Even their friends try to help them, but soon, they slowly begin to fall in love. If you love romantic comedies, you'll love WHAT HAPPENS IN VEGAS!!!
I am really surprised at this sub-plot of coming back again and again to portray Joy's Chinese colleague in the worst possible stereotype. While I liked the movie and found the leading actors cute and funny I couldn't figure out the racist approach everytime Joy's Chinese colleague had to say something or do something. The scenes at work or in the boardroom or in the boss's house or in the night party with the Chinese woman with her Chinese husband? I thought that was far too much and I thought all this confirms it was done on purpose. Maybe it is fashionable now to bash China? What others think about this? I did not also appreciate the portrayal of other minorities in the movie, such as the African American guy who arrived in a police suit. Is the movie telling us that only this couple of mainstream white Americans can be truly "American" and that Joy's boss found a connection with her husband (Ashton) because he displayed some cultural treats?
After the wildest party night of their lives two mismatched strangers Jack (Ashton Kutcher) and Joy (Cameron Diaz) wake up in Vegas to discover they not only got lucky they got married! The road to annulment takes a hilarious turn after Jack wins a three-million-dollar jackpot while playing Joy s quarter and a no-nonsense judge (Dennis Miller) sentences them to six months hard marriage. What follows is an all-out war of the sexes as Jack and Joy go to outrageous lengths to try and cheat each other out of the money. What Happens in Vegasis a comedy waiting to happen. It takes an old premise (drunk strangers regretting their decision to get married in Las Vegas) and adds in a dilemma (a $3 million slot machine win) that could've been easily resolved. But then again, there would've been no movie if the unhappily wedded couple figured out that splitting the money in half and getting their marriage annulled would've been quick and effective. Cameron Diaz plays uptight clean-freak Joy, who has just been dumped by her fiance. Ashton Kutcher is Jack, a slacker furniture maker who has been fired--by his own dad. Each goes to Vegas to let off some steam. And while they have nothing in common (except being exceptionally good looking) they make out, get married, and fight over the money Jack wins with Joy's quarter. Instead of letting the couple get divorced, a judge sentences the odd couple to half a year of marriage. What happens in Vegas doesn't stay in Vegas, but extends into New York where Jack and Joy live. Both actors have fared well in comedies, especially Diaz inMy Best Friend's Wedding.
