(Fantastic soundtrack you'll love long after you beat the game) 『You'd think that with the sheer number of hours I spent playing Final Fantasy Tactics, I wouldn't need the soundtrack to keep the game's majestic score running through my head. There was something about this particular soundtrack though, that made me sure I'd want to have it on hand long after I was finished with the game.
The soundtrack's best attribute is that it does far more than just bring to mind specific "scenes" from the game. It's a work of art in its own right, and is the perfect background music for the epic fantasy novels I tend to read (the Record of Lodoss War soundtracks also work great in this regard).
Another thing that sets this soundtrack apart from a lot of other video game soundtrack is that it sounds like a film score. You hear an orchestra rendering a well-crafted symphonic score, not a cheap, synthesized version full of "bloops" and "bleeps". The Final Fantasy Tactics soundtrack isn't just the audio version of the game, but is a unique soundtrack on par with any of today's Hollywood scores.
If you're a serious fan of the game, you'll want to check out this great soundtrack. It should also appeal to anyone interested in anime and/or epic fantasy scores. 』
Core2Duoノートレビュー 's review (A must have for everyone) 『This soundtrack is stunning.I would recommend it not only to any Final Fantasy fan, but to any fan of music in general. Five Stars. For those who are sure they will buy this: the track titled Wandering Flame (Disk 4, Track 7) is great for music to go to sleep to.』
(beautiful music!) 『I downloaded the entire album online (cough, cough), but I must say it is a beautiful compilation of the music that made this game so dear to me, the themes are rather intimate and sincere, and some of the tracks have a certain innocence and playfulness to them. Others are very soulful and mellow... I would highly recommend this CD!』
(Unhappy) 『I have given 4 weeks to this company, and stil HAVEN'T recieved my purchase. I feel the service of Amazon has gone down recently and I think I won't be shopping from here any longer. It is impossible to get these idiots to address my issue, and ofcourse Amazon isn't responsible for 3rd party purchases. Very, very very unhappy customer, a total waste of 20.00, I shoulda just tossed it in the garbage.

(Truly great music) 『I've only ever played 3 of the final fantasies, them being VIII, X and XII. X would have to be my favourite because of its fantastic storyline and the loveable characters. But what makes the game and the story so much better is the music that plays over it. What's best about the music is how diverse it is, there is literally something for every music lover out there. The highlights of the soundtrack would have to be the beautiful piano ballad, "To Zanarkand", the song "Suteki Da Ne" and the heavy metal song "Otherworld." Also any of Seymour's themes are dark and scary. Nobuo Uematsu, Junya Nakamo and Masashi Hamauzu are truly great men for being able to write such beautiful, dark and fun music, there are even times listening to some of the songs that I have to stop because of how sad the songs make me feel or how beautiful they are. Whether you're a fan of Final Fantasy X or just a lover of great music, this soundtrack is absolutely perfect in every way.』
(Fantastic) 『I am a HUGE Final Fantasy X fan and its just so hard to find any good products for it anymore, but when i found this original soundtrack i was ecstatic. I ordered it on a Monday and got it the same week Thursday. It was in great condition and I'm very satisfied at how quickly i got it as well. I definitely recommend this product.』 『Japanese soundtrack for the popular video game. 91 tracks on 4 discs. As a piano player, I only used to practice classical music but since I have bought these I have expanded my repertoire. They are very lovely to hear and enjoyable to practice. Each time I play them I develop more and more attachments towards the characters and appreciate the people who made them possible.』
(Better than Original...) 『Ever since I played Final Fantasy IX, I've wanted to buy a soundtrack of it. I thought of buying the Original Soundtrack, but it cost more than $25, and i didn't have that much money. So I decided on this CD and it was worth it. Most of the songs on this CD are even better than the originals, and I wasn't going to listen to most of the songs on the original so... It's worth every penny.』
(Best Piano Soundtrack Uematsu's written) 『I almost wonder if I've been listening to the same album as 'elwen'.
You're Not Alone was one of the highlights of this album in my opinion. I understand the comments of "sounds like two songs being played at the same time: a simple melody line, and a bunch of staccato notes and chords..." but I thought they added to the musical experience, and that only plays in that manner for the first minute or so, before becoming a much more complicated and sophisticated song. Though it does return to that first section of melody a little later, it doesn't dwell on it before coming the fuller, louder melody that is what sticks in my head when I think of this song.
... Also Vama Alla Flamenco is AKA Chocobo Hot&Cold, and was only played during that mini-game, not during a sword fight.
I loved this album to death. In my opinion it's the very best piano soundtrack Uematsu has written. FFIV&FFVI's piano soundtracks sound very amaturish compared to the compilations included in the piano soundtracks for Final Fantasy 7&9.
While Uematsu has yet to write anything to the degree of say, Beethoven's third movement of Moonlight Sonata, this CD contains a number of quite powerful piano arrangements.
Melodies of Life is one such example. It is by far the most beautiful piano song (aside from FF7's Aerith's Theme) Uematsu has released.
Other noteworthy songs on this CD include: Place I'll Return to Someday, Sleepless City Treno, and Loss of Me.
I would recomend this album to anyone who likes listening to piano music, and I can promise you that this music will stick in your head, if not by technical merrit, then certainly on it's beauty.』
(A Must Have For Music Fans!) 『This piano collection is great! All of the songs sound just as good or better, then on original soundtrack. I ordered the Final Fantasy IX original soundtrack a year or so ago, and it took me a while to get used to all the music. But now I love every track! So when I learned that there was a piano collection, I knew I had to get it. It may cost a lot of cash for only 14 tracks, believe me, it's worth it. There is almost an honor of music on this great cd!』
(Only because Final Fantasy is always the best...) 『...can I justify giving this CD four stars instead of five. The problem is that it simply doesn't live up to the previous piano collections like FFVI and FFVIII. And believe me, I know these songs inside and out: I listen to them and then I learn them from the sheet music.
The first problem with these songs is the simplicity. There are a lot more sections when you are just hearing one or two notes played together and rather disjointedly at that. There aren't as many blocked and broken chords that add depth to the songs beyond their melodies. Of course, there are exceptions. Eternal Harvest in particular is complex and even more exciting than the original.
That leads us to the second problem I found in this CD. Usually the piano arrangements of songs are comparable to the original, or they provide some different perspective to the song. In my opinion, the original soundtrack of Final Fantasy IX is one of the best of any video game out there, so I had high expectations for the piano collection as well. Unfortunately, in many cases the original songs are plainly better. Again, there are exceptions. Vamo' Alla Flamenco is amazing at capturing the mood of the lively sword fight to which it was played in the game.
The last complaint I have is that there are so many dischordant and jarring places in the pieces. One song, You're Not Alone, sounds like two songs being played at the same time: a simple melody line, and a bunch of staccato notes and chords that do nothing to add to the music.
All considered, I suppose it's still somewhat unfair for me to rate this CD a four. The key here is relativity. While I would probably recommend this collection more than I might recommend some CDs I would give fives, I would even more highly recommend the previous piano collections from the Final Fantasy series. All the same, if you're looking for the nostalgic, distinctive mood of Final Fantasy IX, this CD still fits the bill.』

Core2Duoノートレビュー 's review (Final Uselessness) 『Dean Cain made a pretty cool Superman in Lois&Clark, and he did okay in an episode of Smallville. In general this movie reminded me of "Red Dawn" in the rebellion stages and so forth, "Red Dawn" was much better. It was really hard to believe that this story took place in a galaxy far away and all that, every scene outside looked Canadian or northern US. I will probably avoid any more Dean Cain movies after seeing this one. Seemed like a lot of bit part semi-stars that I see in a lot movies and TV shows, but it really lost me. It was really cheap and used and I forced myself and my brother to sit through it to the end. I wouldn't recommend this movie to anyone who really enjoys sience fiction.』
(One of the best movies I've seen in a LONG time!) 『I loved Starship Troopers and many other movies that have no notariety at all, and now I'll be adding this movie to that list. If you like "b" sci-fi movies, then this one will be right down your alley! Sure the acting isn't top par, but the sets and CGI make up for any of that. Worth a watch if you like these kind of movies, but if all you like are the multimillion dollar movies such as the StarWars franchise, then pass on it.』
(For fans of 'Lois and Clark') 『I liked this movie, but truthfully I think what I liked the best was seeing Jimmy Olson and Clark Kent from an alternate universe. NOT that I am saying that this is what the movie is about, but I think for fans of 'Lois and Clark' that is what you might be thinking in the back of your mind.』
(rubbish) 『possibly the worst film i have ever seen. do not buy it it is rubbish. looks like it has been filmed by a bunch of 10 year olds.』
(This movie. My Soul Bleeds.) 『... The grotesque dialogue and meandering plotline offer nothing to the viewer more than possible gastro-intestinal problems. This is not even a film that could entice fans of "quality" B-flicks for the sake of amusement. I, personally, enjoyed the Evil Dead series, Killer Klownz from Outer Space and eagerly anticipate watching Sgt. Kabuki-man, NYPD. I'm not certain I could watch this movie again even if shown as part of an Mystery Science Theater 3000 episode (which I enjoy also). ...
That said, it's a sci-fi flick without any coherant plot wherein even the slightly well-known actors display acting skills on par with the last elementary-school play you've been to. I sincerely believe that any actor of any standing in this movie was blackmailed to appear in it. If you want comparatively quality movie-watching, watch USA-network movies, the series VIP or any porno you can think of....』

In the film, affluent parents a pre-natal recording chip implant for their children. The implant, called the "Zoe" chip, records that individual's lifetime memories in real time. When the individual dies, the implanted chip in which all of the individuals memories are recorded, is removed and given to a "cutter". The job of the cutter is to basically edit the memories of the deceased and create a full length feature film of the memories of the deceased. This film is then shown at a "re-memory" ceremony held on behalf of the deceased, where the dearly departed is remembered the way that those left behind among the living would like.
Alan Hakman (Robin Williams) is the best cutter in the business. His handling of the memories of the deceased always end up with a film that makes everyone happy, even though the memorial portrait of the deceased may bear little resemblance to the way that the individual may have actually been in life. Alan likens himself to a modern day, functional equivalent of the sin eaters of old. He views his job as one of basically washing away the sins of the deceased for the sake of the living. Obviously, due to the extremely intimate and personal nature of what he does, a cutter cannot be someone who himself has an implant.
Alan is a stunted human being, due to a traumatic childhood experience involving a newly made friend. He was also orphaned at an early age. So, he is a guy who is really not too in touch with his feelings. He has a girlfriend, sort of-kind of, named Delila (Mira Sorvino), with whom he is trying, however badly, to establish a connection. Somehow, the path of true love does not go too smoothly for Alan.
One day, Alan is hired to do the final cutting for a deceased executive of the corporation that makes the implant. He is definitely a man with some truly serious moral issues, but his widow wants his life to be well remembered in the community, so she is looking for a whitewash. Of course, zealous activists who are against the "Zoe" chip, viewing the implant as an invasion of privacy, would like nothing better than to look into the deep recesses of the mind of the deceased in hopes of finding something that will embarrass the corporation that promulgates the implant.
A renegade cutter named Fletcher (James Caviezel), who has left the business, tries to bribe Alan into giving him the implant of the deceased corporate executive, but Alan refuses. It seems, however, that Fletcher and the anti-implant activists will not take no for an answer with respect to the implant of the deceased. Moreover, in scanning the memories of the deceased, Alan comes across a memory that sheds some additional light on the childhood trauma that has haunted him, and his investigation of that specific memory leads to some startling revelations for him. It is a discovery that is to have more impact on his life than he can imagine.
This is somber film with performances that often seemed to be phoned in. James Caviezel adds very little in the role of Fletcher, given his one-dimensional performance. Mira Sorvino is okay in the role of Delila, but she basically had very little with which to work. Moreover, the relationship with Alan never really seems like a fit, as there is absolutely no chemistry between them. Also, Alan looks to be at least twenty years older than her in the film. Since he has little to offer in the personality or looks department, it is hard to believe that someone of Delila's age and looks would be so hot to trot with Alan. I simply do not understand why Hollywood is always so reluctant to cast age appropriate actresses.

Usually ships in 24 hours Core2Duoノートレビュー 's review (A fairytale must remain a fairytale (SPOILERS)) 『Note: This review contains spoilers. Anyone who was a fan of this series will want to have this season in their collection. After all, a collection isn't a collection unless it's complete. Having said that however, the choices made by the writers and producers of "Beauty and the Beast" were poor. This story--at its core--is a fairytale. Fairytales must have happy endings, or they're not fairytales. It wasn't worth twelve rather unsatisfying episodes to compromise the integrity of the fairytale genre. It would have been much more rewarding--and honest--to have ended the series with Catherine realizing that she had done all she had set out to do in the world above--and joyfully accepting that her future would properly be spent with Vincent, and their son, in the world below. Having Vincent lose his empathic connection with Catherine was a big mistake, since that bond is the entire premise on which their relationship was based. Killing off Catherine was, of course, the ultimate error--because it simply is not the way a "true" fairytale should end. Season III, in and of itself, isn't wholly "bad" television, but it is mediocre. It actually contains some fine moments, particularly for some of the secondary and recurring guest characters (such as Joe Maxwell and Elliot Burch, respectively). In addition, unlike some other reviewers, I found the character of Diana quite interesting, primarily because what she and Vincent develop is a friendship. It could not possibly be more. However, the evil characters in this season were silly and boring--and too much time was spent on them. The season would have redeemed itself far better if they had spent more time on a more romantic storyline, since the whole series was intended to be a romance. For example, they could have focused on Joe's coming to terms with the love he felt for (but never expressed to) Catherine--AND they could have developed a meeting/friendship between Joe and Vincent. (After all, the love Joe felt for Catherine was far less selfish than what Elliot felt for her.) Or, they might have pursued a romantic interest developing between Joe and Diana--perhaps even with Vincent's help. Joe Maxwell, in particular, was a wonderful character who was left wholly unresolved in the series, and that is unfortunate. Although I still believe the third season never should have happened--there are ways in which it could have been better.』
(Not complete without the bitter sweet ending.) 『I was one of the original fans of the Beauty and the Beast T.V. show, and it has been entertaining to rewatch the entire series. This last season has its ups and downs, but if you are a fan of the show the final season is a must. However, you should be prepared for a less than happily-ever-after ending.』
(roantic beast) 『This is the last season I bought ,and I have to say I was not prepared for the way in which catherine s life was ended,it upset me imensly. I watch it but cannot watch that part of it .I like Dianna but for me it all happened too soon after Catherine s death . Am I write in thinking it was near three months. Considering how much Vincent loved Cathy I dont think he would have been that eager .Aftr all he reckons he didn t remember their love being consumated so not as if he was missing anything. But I like to think maybe she didn t die and is in a safe place untill the time is right to return .Maybe one day she will .Fingers crossed.』
(Beauty and the Beast Final Season) 『I always liked the original series and on this DVD format it is even better, if that's possible. Very pleased with the DVD's. I thought the final season was awesome and probably the best of the 3 seasons.』
(Final season of Beauty&the Beast) 『I need information of the last season of B&B, where there only 11 discs? The final season i purchased did not have an ending??Can anyone help. Pam Nevada』 『Beauty and the Beast's controversial final year plays like a one-arc epilogue. The impression comes from a change in direction and a smaller slate of episodes (12 instead of 22). While the second ended with the suggestion that Catherine (Linda Hamilton) had met her maker, two-part premiere "Though Lovers Be Lost" confirms that she's healthy--and pregnant--but Vincent (Ron Perlman) can no longer sense when she's in danger. Then Catherine takes on a case that jeopardizes her life, and Vincent arrives too late to save the day. Fans felt betrayed by the development, since the two were presented as soul mates rather than tragic lovers (Hamilton left the show because she and husband James Cameron were expecting a baby). With Paracelsus vanquished the previous year, Gabriel (A History of Violence's Steven McHattie) steps in as resident bad guy. Before he orders Catherine killed, Gabriel absconds with her son. Thereafter, the opening changes to reflect a focus on Vincent. While he teams up with Catherine's former flame, Elliot Burch (Edward Albert), to catch her killer, district attorney Joe Campbell (Jay Acovone) and detective Diana Bennett (new cast member Jo Anderson, portraying a harder-edged character) work towards the same goal. Their obstacles include Gabriel's henchman Snow (Millennium's Lance Henriksen as an icy blond) and two drug kingpins (played byUgly Betty's Tony Plana andMedium's Miguel Sandoval).
Despite its tarnished reputation--and higher body count--Beauty and the Beast's third season averts disaster for the most part. If Vincent and Diana share a lower-wattage chemistry, they still work well together, and the rest of the cast offers good value, particularly Perlman and Roy Dotrice, who would re-team in 2008 for another adventure about a misunderstood man-beast, Guillermo Del Toro'sHellboy 2: The Golden Army.--Kathleen C. Fennessy』

(Duncans worst nightmare) 『Duncan would have taken this evil "kell" out a long time ago if he was on the series. because duncans the best. over 627 heads for this guy. duncans 174 huh.
Duncan should of had more heads than him. anyhow duncan was scared a little but in the end we know what will happen. what about methos? he's an immortal? he should of been fighting in this show too. anyhow the worst nightmare was duncan could of lost his head. good overall show.』
(Better than the second movie) 『This was better than the second movie, which didn't fit very well with the Highlander saga. I thought they redeemed themselves with this one by making it fit with the first movie. I liked the characters and the storyline and was pleased that they paid attention to what happened in the first movie, and the series that spun from it. The swordsmanship and special effects were both exciting.』
(Best HL "sequel" yet, falls short of Series) 『This movie came out in when I was about 13 and a huge fan of Highlander: The Series and the original movie that spawned the entire franchise. History, swordplay, martial arts, philosophy, and good principal actors. To this day I have fond memories of being entertained by the HL franchise.
Endgame is the third of four sequels to the original movie, none of which can truly be called sequels. Highlander II: The Quickening betrays the premise of the original movie, Highlander III: The Sorcerer returns to the premise but ignores the Series (which ignores the events of the original movie, but not the premise), aside from being a mediocre imitation of the original. The Series, on the other hand, is where the whole franchise reaches its zenith and, in my opinion, surpasses the original film in scope, with a rich mythos and a world of interesting characters.
Endgame doesn't reach the heights of the best of the series, but isn't as bad as its worst episodes. All in all, it can be seen as a high budget, feature length episode of the series. Thematically, everything in the movie (besides a storyline featuring Connor) has been played out more or less in the series. The flashbacks are convincing but, again, not nearly as compelling as the best of the series. The story arch and mythos could only be appreciated by fans of the franchise, so by itself it has little strength. The movie also falls short of its own potential; the original script and alternate cuts reveal a somewhat different movie.
By itself, it is far better than many sci-fi cult movies, but the best of Highlander is the best of the series. If Davis and Panzer ever wish to make a feature film that rivals the series, somebody needs to seriously reflect on what made the franchise successful in the first place.
The DVD itself is high quality and highly entertaining, though. It includes an entire alternate cut and interesting production features. The soundtrack is also quite good--I made a point of re-purchasing it this year after losing my original copy.』
(Please, STOP Writing about Endgame, this movie is NOT that one!) 『Okay first off, this movie is NOT the endgame one where connor and duncan arein it together, this is the one where the original highlander and his son are in it. the mongol guy, Caine, (Mario Van Peebles), breaks his katena, blah blah. do just a LITTLE research, GAWD.』 『Despite a typically haphazard plot,Highlander: Endgameis a marked improvement over previous sequels. This is the "torch-passing" chapter, in which the Immortal Connor MacLeod (Christopher Lambert) passes his life force to his heroic brother, Duncan (Adrian Paul, star of the 1993-96HighlanderTV series). These appealing stars make a fine onscreen duo, and Paul is a terrific choice to keep the franchise alive--strikingly handsome but possessing enough gravitas to make the prospect of future sequels unexpectedly promising. The movie is incoherent to the uninitiated, but established fans will be reasonably impressed byEndgame's cagey mix of romance, swordplay, and history-spanning action. While the movie's chaotic construction is regrettable, the frequent battles (including dazzling work by Honk Kong action star Donnie Yen) are adequately impressive, and Douglas Milsome--cinematographer of Stanley Kubrick'sFull Metal Jacket--ensures that every scene is strikingly photographed. All in all,Highlander: Endgameis surprisingly worthwhile.--Jeff Shannon』 『Movie DVD』
Core2Duoノートレビュー 's review (Wonderful addition....) 『I have been looking for the complete series for sometime. I was very happy to find the complete series at a reasonable price.』
(Amazingly Attractive Andromeda +++) 『This is "Amazingly Attractive Andromeda" for sci-fi/fantasy/mystery followers such as I [my words in quotes]. I am now very happy that I took a big chance and got the whole show in all seasons when it was easy to do so. This show has everything I look for in sci-fi/fantasy/mystery -- including most surely great sci-fi/fantasy/mystery. "Andromeda" is glorious grand space opera with an overall ethical theme [in dedicated support of galactic law-and-order civilization revival during a future galactic dark age] -- supported by a strong starship commander via clever-but-ethical action with his loyal crew -- that he has to win over to such loyalty. They are mostly successful versus tricky dangerous situations with various interesting twists along the way.
The captain, ship and crew are very attractive heros -- yes, even the ship "Andromeda" is quite a Lady -- lovely, sweet, smart and oh-so-sharp. The episodes mostly flow along in an on-going adding-up long-saga -- unlike much of the previously produced work of Gene Roddenberry -- who had "Andromeda" plotted long ago waitng for creation. The hi-tech, effects and settings are done as well as all of this show -- as well as plenty of DVD set features and extras. I am refreshed by such a positive show with positive actors and actions. I avoid much recent media shows as being just too chaotic, graphic, bloody and grim -- even if I like the darker "Battlestar Galactica" and "Firefly" about as much as fair "Andromeda". So -- I am wonderfully surprised by "Andromeda" -- [for me] the best thing since "Lord of the Rings" +++』
(Best money spent for the entertainment.) 『I saw several episodes of Andromeda on the Sci-Fi channel. I was intrigued enough to want to see the whole series. I looked for quite a while and only found the very pricey individual seasons. I was hoping that this set would come along. I spent almost two weeks watching every episode and most of the bonus features. I will wait another year and do it again. I have never gotten a deal like this for any form of entertainment before. If you have the opportunity to buy this, don't wait, jump on it!』
(Where some have gone already...) 『Gene Roddenberry's "Andromeda" was an unmade pilot when the creator of Star Trek passed away. Majel, his widow, carried on his legacy by bringing this to life. It's essentially a retread of Star Trek, except it as Captain Dylan Hunt (Kevin Sorbo),his geeky techie, his telepathic hologram ship, and a "Nietzschean"(a guy with dreadlocks)
"Andromeda" is formulaic. It doesn't venture into deeper issues like Star Trek did. It's a "monster of the week" variety. Still,it makes good, cheesy fun.』
(Basic scifi on all levels) 『I'll review this product in 2 parts: 1) Andromeda as a series 2) The SLIPSTREAM collection DVDs. Andromeda is the standard episodic version of futuristic scifi. It's action orientated with numerous special effects and some outlandish aliens. In true Gene Roddenberry fashion, the captain is the hero and always gets the girl. Apparently all female species in the universe are beautiful, love to show cleavage and have no morals. But it does make for good storytelling. The cast here is top notch. Lisa Ryder, Gordon Woolvett, Laura Bertram, Keith Cobb, Steve Bacic and the incredible Lexa Doig all are accomplished and polished entertainers. Kevin Sorbo is a good lead but at times is a bit too stoic. The episodes each tell their own story but there are also a couple of story arcs that run the length of the series. Characters come and go throughtout. The problems this show encountered were a vast - vast overuse of flashbacks and heavily overused stock footage. The editing leaves much to be desired, there are actually scenes where cast got out of character before the cameras stopped rolling. This is slightly above average scifi. 2) The Slipstream collection is well packaged and compact. The special features are tiresome and often duplicated. There are even deleted scenes and bloopers on the wrong discs. Interviews are repeated and sometimes serious, most times not. An uninspired production at best. If you take anything from this series, it should be an appreciation for the acting chops of Lisa Ryder, Lexa Doig, Steve Bacic and the very likable Gordon Woolvett. I also was amazed that Laura Bertram spent almost 1800 hours in the makeup chair during the 5 year run. I give the series a grade of "B+", the DVD collection a "C".』 『The explosive final season of one of the most beloved science fiction TV series of all time! Core2Duoノートレビュー 's review (Great Poster!) 『I was so thrilled to find an actual Zack poster on amazon. Poster of him seem to be hard to find and are usually over priced and/or have to be imported (expensive shipping). I received this poster a couple days right after i placed the order! and the it is very good quality. It looks much better than the photo page which makes the poster look very dark. Also its not horribly massive like some wall scrolls I've seen. Over all, very good quality, I'm very pleased to receive a poster of one of my favorite FF characters! The only thing unusual about it is that the poster advertises the "Final Fantasy: Advent Children" movie, but shows the younger Zack (the looking up one) only seen in "Crisis Core" for the PSP. Not that it really matters. It is cool to see the younger and older versions of him back to back! Point is, you should get it if your a Zack fan!』 『This wallscroll features the popular character, Zack Fair from popular game series, Final Fantasy VII. Zack is featured back to back with himself. He is shown both young and older. The wallscroll has two hooks for easy hanging (using nails/push pins, etc.). This wallscroll is 60cm (24-inches) wide, and 90cm (36-inches) long.
Dimension&Measurement: Approximately 60x90cm (24x36-inches).』

Core2Duoノートレビュー 's review (Vincent valentine) 『This figure was very high quality and lived up to all my expections. It had many movable joints and parts and was well crafted down to the very last detail. I would say the only draw back is that he is top heavy, but the display stand will take care of that. This figure is a must have for any final fantasy/vincent valentine fan. I recomend it onehundred percent.
I may post some pictures of the figure later on.』
(very good buy!!!) 『this action figure is an awesome item for any final fantasy fan's collection, it has alot of movement and has very good detail in every part of it, from the hair, face, clothes, the golden hand etc...very nice action figure, dare to call it a toy, lol. It comes with an optional stand, but i didnt use it cause i have it on a shelf with other figures so i didnt want it to take up too much space. The one and only thing i can say that was kind of annoying with the figure is that it was difficult to set it in the right position so it wouldnt fall over, its kind of top-heavy so if you dont have the figure standing just right he'll fall over, but after you figure it out it looks great!!! i am very happy with it and highly recommend this figure to any FF fan out there.』 『 Following on the heels of the best-selling first series, the characters of Final Fantasy VII have been made into highly articulated Play Arts Action Figures based on their original Playstation game likenesses! Core2Duoノートレビュー 's review (A strategy guide, with an internet conection?) 『This Strategy Guide is a tribute to all of the great strategy guides of the 90's, back before Game Stop had you spending ridiculous cash on strategy guides that are twice the size, but still only have the same amount of information. The one downside to this book is that it was dependent on the owner having an internet connection because for some reason Brady Games thought it would be smart to have about a fourth of the Info in this book only accesible from a website. If that was'nt bad enough the website no longer exists, the bright side though is that as long as you go online you can do what I'm doing right now and that is filling in all the blanks of the strategy guide with Info. from the internet which is a surprisingly easy task. Even if you don't have a means of an online connection it's still a great book that does it's job for a great game.』
(Useless now - You cannot access the website) 『This is useless now as it tells you to go to the website for info on everything, but the website is down. I wanted to play this again (still am) but you cannot use this guide anymore. =(』
(WHAT!?) 『Ok when I buy a guide I expect it to give me all the info I need not tell me to go online to find it. Then for no other reason then that I played the game later then other people, if I go to the site I dont get any info, I just get stuff for final fantasy xi, not ix. This guide is very incompleate, and beacuse of that can't help anyone if you use the guide for every step you take then you will become very frustated, if you only want if for help with mini games and finding special items well then dont even pick it up because thats the stuff thats missing. Anyone wanting to play this game would be much better served by an online guide which is what I ended up useing to find what I didnt find in the official guide』
(Great for propping up chairs.) 『I want to give this guide a one star review but it is just so perfect for correcting off balance chairs and tables that I can't possibly do that.』
(And The Razzy Goes To...) 『This is easily the worst strategy guide I have ever seen. The Bestiary is all of 7 pages long. The Secrets and Side-Quests section (usually my primary reason for buying a guide)is also 7 pages long. The guide's advice for fighting every boss boils down to "Try to not die."
And the book's excuse for providing absolutely no information whatsoever? Well, just type in this handy code on our web site and you'll get the information you paid for!
...but... that's why I bought the book! But tough luck. Save your money and download the free guides and walkthroughs at gamefaqs.com.

I had read an interview in Romantic Times and then it became available for review. I took it as a sign and asked to review it. It arrived about a week later and I dove right in. This is a very well researched novel. For someone like me, who devours shows on the History Channel, Discovery, etc. about lost civilizations, ancient prophecies, and the like, this series was tailor made for me. If you don't find those kinds of things interesting, give The Night Keepers a try for the believable characters, the unique subject matter, as well as a few surprises that I didn't see coming. Strike and Leah are two very strong personalities that are so real and true. In fact all the secondary characters are fleshed out. Ms. Andersen succeeds in introducing a lot of characters as any start of a series does but doesn't overshadow the main characters. The action sequences are well done and the foreshadowing is deftly woven into the story. What also impressed me was the fact that Ms. Andersen was able to bring the story to a satisfying conclusion while making me eager for the next book. Originally reviewed at Night Owl Romance』
(Fans of paranormal romance will not want to miss Nightkeepers.) 『The Nightkeepers are a small group of ancient warriors sworn to protect heaven and earth. The Nightkeepers must once again band together to fight evil Banal Kax. Strike (king) of the Nightkeepers falls in love with heroine Leah. Of course, first he must rescue her from human sacrifice.
Nightkeepers has a high-action, paranormal plot. This is not your typical paranormal story. Jessica Andersen takes information concerning the Mayan Calendar which comes to an end, December 21, 2012 and speculation that the world will come to an end on that date, and she builds a thriller around it. The suspense builds to a climatic ending. Fans of paranormal romance will not want to miss Nightkeepers.』
(loved this book) 『I loved this book. It was great. I will definitely be buying the others.』
(Night Keepers) 『Great Read!!! Jessica Andersen pulls you into her books and makes you feels like you are part of her characters. This story has it all; action, suspense, romance, and mystery. I am waiting with abated breath for the next book in this series (Book 3, Skykeepers) to hit the shelves this August 2009.』
(Must be JR Ward's pal.) 『I was thinking this was going to be better than it was. Not that the writing was poor, but I could not suspend disbelief enough to really dig it. After reading it though, I've come to the conclusion (correct or not) that Jessica and JR Ward must have the same editor. There are too many very similar or exact phrases used by both authors. After a while, it just got old. That said, I think it was a valiant attempt to tackle a monumental topic using the Mayan culture to create this story and setting. 』 『The exciting debut of a new paranormal romance series

Yes, it can get difficult at times but its not impossible. I wouldn't recommend this game for casual gamers or those who are new to RPGs. The fighting can get grueling, especially in some of the longer parts.
I think the main thing that makes this game harder is the fusions. Not having the right spell in this game can be your down fall, and if you fuse you only monster with a healing spell, you're screwed. I'm used to the fusions because of the Persona and Devil Summoner series. Granted, they aren't exactly the same when it comes to the monsters but the same principle is there.
Even for seasoned vets, I'd recommend you at least look at an online guide if you get stuck or frustrated. This game doesn't have many clues when it comes to what to do next at times. If you take a break from this game, prepare for a lot of wandering until you remember what you have to do next.
The pros to this game is the challege. You can depend on having to look for weakenesses when it comes to bosses. The story line is great. I'm about 20 hrs in. Basically you control the destiny of the world. Your actions will result in the various endings in this game.
The graphics aren't anything special but they were good for a early ps2 game. The music is pretty good, all of it is fitting for the game.
All in all, this is a solid game. If you've played anything else from the MagTen Series, I recommend you at least try this game. Be sure to get it when its cheap though, its not worth some of the outragious prices I've seen out there. I say don't pay anymore than $40 and that's only if its new. I paid $30 and it was new from amazon.』
(More of a college course than a video game) 『SMT: Nocturne is one of a very rare breed of RPGs that makes some very different assumptions about what you might consider 'fun'. To play with any real competence requires a deep understanding of the game engine, and Nocturne rarely bothers to tell you how that game engine actually works or even the existence of many features. Players new to SMT (especially Western players) will immediately be bombarded with the alien: skills with strange, foreign names, a host of bizarre demons, and a plot-line with nothing of the familiar. Even graphically, Nocturne is alien: although minimalistic, the odd use of color at times is reminiscent of Tron (if you can imagine.) Certainly Nocturne will require that RPG'ers forget a lot of the standard conventions (there are no weapons or armor in the game, no princess to save, and it is hard to say if you are even the 'good guy'), but the sacrifice is worth it because the new conventions you'll need to learn are deeply rewarding.
If you are up for the challenge, you probably won't want to come to the game unarmed. For other games, reading an FAQ might be considered cheating, but if only to grasp all the ins and outs, you will need to read. And you'll need to think. I'm glad there aren't many games like this (thinking too hard can be a lot of work!), but I think we're blessed to have a few. Nocturne at first is deceptive: turn-based dungeons crawlers can't be that hard, right? You've probably forgotten your Wizardry, but even then, Nocturne flips all those conventions on their head; such that we're using a stone-age interface to do rocket science. You can get away with blundering through the game, treating it like a standard dungeon crawler up to a point, but by the time you get to the first FIEND (Matador), you'll realize you've made some terrible mistake. Then you'll start reading outside sources and for the first time get a glimpse of just how deep the game goes.
Obviously, Nocturne like most SMT games is about demon fusion, and that alone will require some well-planned decisions on your part. The amount of freedom allowed through this is unparalleled in other RPGs and is part of the reason SMT games are highly revered. In general, you are limited by your own creativity and your own lack of knowledge. Armed with the latter, you might, for instance fuse a demon who can continue to replenish their magic just by walking, then share it with the rest of the party (makatara), or you might cleverly infuse a demon with the ability to resist many types of magic (a sort of walking tank.) The main character can similarly be customized, though through a different process. In this way, the idea of 'class' has become obsolete. You can make your main character and demons into whatever sort of class you want, or your own unique hybrid (currently I'm working on a 'paladin' sort of main character who casts spells to protect the party and occasionally does damage.)
In a sense, Nocturne brings us full circle in the life-cycle of RPGs, where once again you'll need a notebook (though thank the heavens, no graph paper!) You'll need to track the many attributes of your party and plan wisely. Holes in your defense WILL be found and exploited by the enemy. I do wish they could have implemented the same 'analyze' system (allows you to see enemy strengths and weaknesses) we see in Persona and Devil Summoner, but one could argue that's just a crutch. You see, the reason I keep returning to this game is that it belongs to a very rare breed of games. Not a lot of people are willing to 'play' like this anymore, where every battle must be thought out, notes consulted, etc. The closest comparison (outside of SMT) would be Wizardry 6/7, where that series jumped way beyond just the standard dungeon crawler and started exploring new territory, even perverting the game engine they themselves had created. And of course, SMT has its roots deeply sunk into what Sir-Tech had started. For a few people anyway, Nocturne is a very special sort of thing that doesn't come around that often.』
(Fun, but Difficult) 『This RPG is definitely one of the most difficult games I've played, but is also one of the best. The storyline will definitely appeal to people who like horror games and the customization feature (which is the most obvious, prominent feature in the game) is VERY addictive. The player will need to do a lot of strategizing though to get the most out of this game, but otherwise is very enjoyable. Highly recommended!』
(Great! But feels quiet...) 『I am a newcomer to the SMT games and started out with P3FES like a lot of people have. I have to admit that that game completely blew me away and so did Persona 4. Because I had so much fun with the mentioned titles, I was craving more action from the SMT Universe. So I came across Nocturne and heard nothing but praises. Nocturne is just as addictive as Persona 3 and 4 and battles is where I had the most fun, not to mention recruiting demons. There are times though where the difficulty seems way high, but there is definitely a rewarding experience towards the end when you get to recruit the most powerful demons in the game. The only issue that I have with this game would be the story. It is a great tale, but I couldn't help but feel like more could have been said about the characters, not to mention having them more fleshed out. The world in the game feels really empty and sometimes I wondered what exactly kept driving the main character to move forward. Other than that, this is definitely a great game and anyone that really enjoyed Persona 3 and 4 would love this game too!』
(An Awesome game especially for an SMT fan!!) 『I'm a Shin Megami Tensei fan, I've played Devil Summoner, Persona 3, and Persona 3 FES and I can say that these games have their faults but they are very good quality RPG's! I only played a little of Nocturne but I still enjoyed it very much I'm currently playing Persona 4 and enjoying it very much!! If you like playing RPG's give Nocturne a chance or try Persona 4 which is the latest SMT game!』 『Atlus' platinum selling RPG series from across the pacific finally comes stateside this September when SHIN MEGAMI TENSEI: NOCTURNE hits store shelves. Core2Duoノートレビュー 's review (Game is extremely hard to find in the stores) 『Your best bet is to order it used from one of the sellers on this list. I lost my original cartridge for this game and went to try to find a replacement at several of the local gamestops in the area. And also don't pay the $80 new game price either. These cartridges are rock-solid so most used ones work just as well.
At any rate, this game is an absolute classic and was one of several classics released by Square in the mid 90s. The Advance release does nothing to degrade the quality of the game. The intricacy of the plot was very advanced for its time. I am more of a fan of the "midevil" setting Final Fantasy games - so this an FF9 are my favorites.』
(Best game in the series.) 『This game is absolutely perfect, I highly recommend this game over all others in the series.』
(Best of the series so far!) 『I have now played Final Fantasy 1-6 through to the finish. FF VI is most definitely the best in the series up to this point. I did not start playing the FF series until 2008, so it definitely has stood the test of time. These are true classics.
FF VI has a great story, great characters, and very good music (even though it's only on the GBA). Of course, the graphics are outdated since it was originally made for the SNES, but it goes well on the GBA/DS. I thought I might not enjoy this one as much as everyone else has since it doesn't utilize the wonderful job system that was in FF V that I loved. The esper system replaces the custom job system very well. The game took around 40 hours to play. Lastly, I found the difficulty to be near perfect. I was able to complete the game without getting any hints. I completed it with only beating 79% of the enemy types, so I may find a walkthrough and try to see what enemies I missed and any side quests I might have missed. It's a challenge, but doesn't get frustratingly difficult on the bosses (including final boss) like some of the others did.』
(A great port of arguably the best Final Fantasy ever made) 『Having not been swayed by the legions of fans who worship Final Fantasy VII or Final Fantasy Online (FFXI), I grew up playing them all. The 2-D entries into the series will always be my favourite, because they had something special about them that I just can't find in the later games. The visuals are beautiful, the music pleasing and memorable, the characters likeable (even the villian), and the story epic and well written.
Unlike their next attempt at a remake (Final Fantasy III on the DS), Final Fantasy VI transitioned to the GBA beautifully. While it is lacking the wonderfully made cinematic sequences the Playstation One (PSX) port had, the loading times are almost non-existent. However, I can't say that I'm entirely pleased with the new translations they've been using for their remakes lately. Some of the name changes make little sense, as I've never approved of their renaming someone after fans have known the original name for years (that includes Aeris for all the people who insist on using that ridiculous new version).
Bottom line, Final Fantasy VI on the Gameboy Advance (GBA) is a great addition to any RPG fan's collection if they don't already have the game on another console or two. The bonus dungeon really isn't that big of a draw, but it doesn't really change the overall story of the game either, so that's a plus. If you do own the game, I'd suggest looking to Final Fantasy V or the GBA release of Final Fantasy IV (avoid the horrible DS remake like the plague). However, if you have the cash to spend, and want FFVI as a portable game to take anywhere.. you can't go wrong with this one.』
(A classic game from the past!!) 『In response to some of the negative (&i mean negative) reviews i just want to clarify, this game is NOT overrated. If anything its underrated. Tell me how many people have actually played Final Fantasy for the first time, playing FFX or XII&think, hey these games are pretty cool, lets look at the older games&see how they are. When they get a hold of the game they're like.. "ewww. this game is horrible, graphics are bad, character development is lame&god forbid the noise they call music" or whatever it is they complain about not liking the game. People have to remember, this is an older game! From 1994!! Graphics were limited at that time&this game is no exception.
Anyways, what does make this game so great? Well for one thing you can have 4 characters instead of 3 during battle&you get more characters overall. So whats not to like about this game? Well sure it can use a graphics overall maybe some voice-overs but other then that NOTHING. I think the story is superb, you start off with a girl who has no recollection of who she is or what she is doing in the middle of an ancient 'magic war'. Sure that's nostalgic but i think the greatest thing about this game is the fact that the characters don't give up hope. Not only that the music for this game is phenomenal, especially for a Snes game. The sound is a little different from the original i think due to the fact its on a portable system that still uses cartridge technology but that doesn't really bother me, it sounds different, in an interesting way. Not only that you can choose what magic spells you want to learn for those who still want to do the black mage, white mage, fighter style, they can! You also have some innovative tech skills that enables you to certain things for every character. To me this fun is enjoyable, epic&has a replay value up the roof. For all those naysayers, well its your loss.』 『Join the Revolution! Core2Duoノートレビュー 's review (Amazing Game) 『Classic, greatest-hits game. Arrived in decent condition. Packaging wasn't great and the CD was a little scratched, but it played fine after cleaning it off. The game is definitely worth it for FF fans.』
(Most Difficult Final Fantasy) 『Definitely one of the better strategy RPG's I've played, but still difficult. Not as difficult as the Disgaea strategy RPG series (THANKFULLY), but still pretty hard. The plot and the "Job" system are very deep though and will definitely keep a lot of players busy. Highly recommended.』
(90's classic) 『This is a classic from the emerging square RPG line of psx games. As Final Fantasy VII broke onto the scene RPGs were taken to a new level, gaining a wider following and acceptance. Due to FFVII's popularity, Tactics is often overlooked. However, Tactics is a classic in its own right. A turn-based games of unites battling on a grid. A great plot, full of twists and turns. In-depth character development, and a nice integration of the storyline into the battles. The translations aren't always the greatest, and a few battles are unfair. These two factors do not diminish this game, though. Extremely playable, and enjoyable.』
(Over 10 years after release, it is still one of best srpg's) 『This game was probably the second strategy rpg I have ever played. The funny(and perhaps sad) thing is that this may still be the king of the genre. I have been playing the game again and am still amazed at the depth and challenge of this game. The different jobs and skill each character can master is simply astounding. The challenge of the battles is tough but not impossible. Yes, you will have to play some random battles to level your characters a bit, but its worth it.
Seriously if you like strategy games and have not yet played Final Fantasy Tactics, you are missing one great game.』
(It's probably my favorite of the entire Final Fantasy line.) 『Since I have been retro gaming again recently, and thus tactics, 8 and 9 were dusted off and put in my venerable PS2. I felt it necessary to perhaps review these titles for all to see.
Final Fantasy Tactics was the first world (to my knowledge) where we were introduced to the world of Ivalice. A world that undergoes cataclysm after cataclysm remaking itself in a vicious cycle of doom.
The story, I didn't know that games could have stories half as well made as this story was back when I first began playing it. Let alone this well done. The story is a timeless masterpiece that can still take on the best of them and walk away with pride and victory in it's bruised hands. There's almost nothing about the story that makes me say "Wha?" (in the sense of spotting a plot hole)
The character development (ie the characters that matter) is very well executed, and it's really hard to believe after playing this, that this is a Final Fantasy, so used to the bad plots and characters from that series I am post 6. (9 aside...)
The most fun part about the gameplay of course is the tactical aspects. And if you don't like thinking tactically this game is not for you. (Sorry FF7 rabids. You need a brain for this. You just can't spam and expect to come out ontop every time) for me, this is what most Rpgs that are turn based should be going for.
Graphically, the game has aged very well, (sprites for the win) which is not all that surprising given the art style.
Controls, you open a menu click a button select a square and it's done. Nuff said.
If there's one failing of this game that I like to pick on. It's the scaling encounters. First off I dislike random encounters. They ruin immersion for me. Second, I like leveling up to actually you know. Matter. The idea that out there in this world monsters magically become better as I do (the same monsters) is just ubsurd.
Bravery and Faith, were stupid but at least the concept "works" (sorta) but again, just like random encounters I hate random stats.
The menus can get a bit much, as well but they don't detract from the game as much as some people like to whine about (these people are the ones that think characters that can do everything is a good thing so they can just spam ultima or what have you and gg the bbeg).
The game with those three faults is still a five star product in my eyes and seeing how long it has been since it was released in my opinion that says alot about the quality put into this game.
Damn square, why can't you put out products like this anymore?』 『In Final Fantasy Tactics you must guide your nation through a revolution while defending it from otherworldy forces!』
