Core2Duoノートレビュー 's review (Great CD) 『This CD is great! If you want beautiful, orchestrated versions of your favorite FFVIII music, this CD is what you're looking for. Uematsu did a great job composing this music. It has the most memorable tunes from the game, so check out the track listing to see if the songs you want are there.』

(4.75 stars.) 『Excellent album. The ochestrated version of FFVIII sure is good! All tracks have the ability to bring back memories from the game, yet you can listen them for their very own artistic qualities. The only problem is, one very important battle theme is missing.
The dramatic music used in both "Lapin Beach Landing" and "Galbadia Garden vs. Balamb Garden Aerial Battle" opening scenes should have been included in this album. With the exception of "Liberi Fatali" and "Fithos Lusec Wecos Vinosec" themes, this music was probably the most moving throughout the whole FFVIII game. It kicks your senses in high gear instantly and keeps you on the edge throughout the battle. Too bad it's not on this album. Otherwise I say go for it! This album is a must have for FFVIII fans. It's almost 5 stars but not yet...

(OUT OF THIS WORLD! buy it!!!! NOW!!!!) 『When I first bought this CD, I honestly didn't expect much out of it at all! BOY was I in for a great surprise!!! This CD just blew me away - and actually reduced me to tears!!! the game FFVIII was to me, a game like no other and it is still my favourite game of all time. one of the reasons for this was because of the wonderful music that Nobuo Uematsu composed for it. Hearing the FFVIII OST brought me back to the wonderful things i'd experienced through that game. But hearing this CD brought back all of the emotions I'd felt while playng it, as I'd never imagined that I could have heard so many of my favourite tracks played so beautifully! Even "Fragments of Memories", a track from the OST that I had not really liked all that much, was amazing! It was beautiful! Every track on this has some new twist to it - like "The Man With The Machine Gun" which has been given a wonderful orchestrated feel to it; or "Fithos Lusec Vevos Venosec" which is so different from anything i have heard before, with its strangely beautiful melody and instruments! Only 3 out of 13 tracks on this CD are taken directly from the OST - compared with only 3 out of 13 tracks on FFVII: Reunion Tracks NOT being taken from the OST!!! I love every track on this CD and I'm sure that you will too! Whether you are a FF music fanatic, or just someone who likes FF music just do one thing - BUY THIS CD!!!』
(Absolutely wonderful!) 『Uematsu fans, brace yourself! You all have heard his in-game music, no doubt, but wait until you hear it taken to the real thing. I'm talking orchestrated, and slightly re arranged for playability. And, Uematsu fan or not, if you like any classical, you'll LOVE. It brings back memories from the games, and sets you in a mood only Uematsu can. It's inspired me in my own music and art, and hopefully it will help you, too. Core2Duoノートレビュー 's review (Final Fantasy I + II Dawn of Souls) 『I think this Players Guide is an excellent guide to use when you get stuck playing the games. It will always put you on the right track.』
(Definitive, complete. Would like a pocket version though!) 『The only thing I can find wrong with this guide is that I wish it were in a smaller form factor -- the large pages are colorful and bright, but the magazine format is a drag because it gets dog-eared quickly. A thicker, pocket-sized guide would be just the thing for this PORTABLE game, especially since most of the maps and charts don't take up a full 8.5 x 11 in page.
Even better than that, of course, would be to have the reference material somehow hidden in the software. The built-in maps in the game are helpful, but not nearly as complete as these in the book.』
(Large Maps!) 『I love large detailed maps! In a game where you can easily get lost. It's good to have large maps that detail where everything is. I haven't read the section detailing FFII yet, I've only beaten FFI. What I've seen of the book detailing the first one however was more than suitable for helping me beat the game.』
(One Thing Missing) 『This is missing from the guide: build up your Life spell to level 10 or so and you have a pretty good chance to take out even the highest undead types in the final dungeon with one cast.
Otherwise, this is a good guide.』
(Relive the past.. fond memories revisited) 『A must have for gamers looking to do everything there is to do in these epic RPG titans! This is a very well planned strategy guide. Completely filled with charts and walkthroughs to keep you in the action. Core2Duoノートレビュー 's review (Excellent story, not too badly told.) 『Diane Carey is capable of being one of the best writers of Star Trek stories in paramount's stable; she is also capable of being one of the worst. It all depends on whether she (or her editors) manage to curb her tendancy to try too hard for novel, exotic, clever, "creative" use of the language. When they succeed, it is possible to see that she is a fine writer, with a good sense of pacing, characterization, and (where applicable, when she isn't simply adapting an already existing plot to book form) plot. When they fail, it is virtually impossible to see anything past the flurry of distractingly WEIRD uses of perfectly good words in places that they simply aren't appropriate.
In this book, they partially succeed; it isn't nearly as bad as her worst work ("Descent", "The Search") but her tendancy is still present enough to be distracting. The plot, of course, isn't hers; it is the work of Stephen Behr and Hans Beimier, who wrote the episode for TV, and it was a fine episode and makes for a fine plot for the book. Unlike in the above-mentioned books, Diane Carey doesn't completely ruin a fine plot with her writing, but she does detract from it.』
(What You Leave Behind) 『After I read this book, I realized how much I had actually fallen in love with all these characters! The book had so much more and was so much better that the episode, in my opinion! The Odo/Kira scene was really touching, and I cried after the book was over, not wanting it all to be over. It was a really well-written book, and I give my accolades to Diane Carey on this. Now, if they could just do something about the length.... Read the book, people, you will love it!』
(I like the book...but) 『I noticed a couple instances in the book similar to http://www.jcandco.net/archives/2004_03.html David Schleifer's books also mentioned at http://www.maccenter.com/ The battlecruiser series shows so many things prevalent in both this book and others like it, yet it was written in the eighties.』
(very enjoyable reading) 『I have become a big fan of the Star Trek paperbacks, and have read several -"What You Leave Behind"was my favorite so far.』
(Don't Waste Your Time) 『Not quite as painful as Diane Carey's "Dominion War" books, but she fails to really get into the minds of the characters as we see them on the show. Tolerable. Read only if you are a completist -- and have read almost everything else. (I remember Diane Carey being a far better author than these three adaptions show. Maybe she's just not good with DS9.)』 『
A powerful novel in the classic tradition ofAll Good Things...

Core2Duoノートレビュー 's review (Less than advertised) 『This article was in poor condition. Several of the pages are loose but there are no missing pages. It is soiled and will fall apart unless it is handled very carefullly. I am very disappointed in the condition of the book and certainly it is not as it was discribed.』
(Terrible.) 『This guide is poorly organized and sucks beyond belief. Besides, any good gamer could figure out what to do in this game. This guide is a total waste of money and I recommend just looking online for help in the game if you absolutely need it.』 『This Nintendo Player's Guide for Chrono Trigger is the only Strategy Guide made for the Super Nintendo release of the great Role Playing Game, Chrono Trigger.
