(Soundtrack you'll love long after you beat the game!)
『You'd think that with the sheer number of hours I spent playing Final Fantasy Tactics, I wouldn't need the soundtrack to keep the game's majestic score running through my head. There was something about this particular soundtrack though, that made me sure I'd want to have it on hand long after I was finished with the game.

The soundtrack's best attribute is that it does far more than just bring to mind specific "scenes" from the game. It's a work of art in its own right, and is the perfect background music for the epic fantasy novels I tend to read (the Record of Lodoss War soundtracks also work great in this regard).

Another thing that sets this soundtrack apart from a lot of other video game soundtrack is that it sounds like a film score. You hear an orchestra rendering a well-crafted symphonic score, not a cheap, synthesized version full of "bloops" and "bleeps". The Final Fantasy Tactics soundtrack isn't just the audio version of the game, but is a unique soundtrack on par with any of today's Hollywood scores.

If you're a serious fan of the game, you'll want to check out this great soundtrack. It should also appeal to anyone interested in anime and/or epic fantasy scores.』

(Not Nobuo Uematsu, but still Final Fantasy music)
『The name Nobuo Uematsu is so synonymous with the fantastic musical scores of the Final Fantasy series that to not see his name on a soundtrack is something of a shock.

Yet the music of Final Fantasy Tactics is not the typical Final Fantasy score. Whereas most titles in the series rely on a mixture of melodic themes, dramatic action sequences, and brooding, dark overtures, composers Hitoshi Sakimoto and Masaharu Iwata treat listeners to a selection of what may best be described as epic themes. Reflecting the broad storyline of the game itself, their music is perfectly mated to the game.

Listeners ultra-loyal to the Uematsu conceptualization of Final Fantasy music may find this soundtrack somewhat strange, but the score stands on its own legs and offers a wonderful alternative to the typical Final Fantasy fare.』

(The best cd for the best RPG!)
『FFT is one of my favorite rpgs of all time. it has the best soundtrack ever. my favorite songs are delitas them, counts anger, ovelias theme, and zalbag the holy knight. I hope square soft makes a new rpg like fft. i would deff reccommend this cd to anyone whos a fan.』

(I CAN'T BELIEVE IT'S NOT NOBUO!)
『Final Fantasy. Nobuo Uematsu. The two go hand in hand. But wait, what's this? A soundtrack by Masaharu Iwata and Hitoshi Sakimoto? Who are they? You may not be familiar with them now, but after listening to these two great CD's, you'll want to commit their names to memory.

The first disc has most of the more popular tracks. As a general rule, if the track name was translated into English, that track is usually pretty good. However, as I've found with most video game soundtracks, you come across something that you don't remember hearing in the game. For me, those are the best tracks. For one, they make you want to play the game all over again just so you can see where that track was implemented in the game.

Some of the tracks are a little redundant, meaning that they use one or two "theme songs" and create different versions of them. Usually this bothers me, but the "theme songs" in Final Fantasy Tactics are so good that you don't mind at all. A few of the tracks at the beginning of Disc 1 sound like they would be right at home in the Braveheart soundtrack. Like another reviewer mentioned, Disc 2 is much more downbeat--compared to the first Disc. But one track on disc 2 that REALLY stood out was track 14, "Shock!" I don't ever remember this being played in the game, but listening to it just puts a smile on your face because it sounds so beautiful.

Of course, all of us that have played the game remember the adrenaline-pumped battle music. Songs like "Back Fire", "Apoplexy", "Run Past Through the Plain (a.k.a. Sweegy Woods)", "Decisive Battle", and "Unavoidable Battle (a.k.a Germinas Peak)". All of the above tracks are exactly as you heard them in the game, except that for some reason "Run Past Through the Plain" sounds a little soft compared to my MP3 version.

The soundtrack comes with a little pamphlet with the different tracks (alas, most of the song names are in Japanese, save a few). But as a nice bonus, you also get a folded poster with almost all the Job classes, and what the males and females look like in that class.

Listening to this soundtrack, one can't help but wonder what Nobuo Uematsu would have done if he had been in charge of the soundtrack. But personally, I like how Iwata and Sakimoto did it and I wouldn't have it any other way.』

(final fantasy)
『if you see that i gave it only a 4 stars, it's because i feel it's just a next step up. remember vhs to dvd.

don't get me wrong i love the movie, but when you have a home collection with more then 1,000 dvd, and now you have to replace them with blu-ray. and it has taken me about 12 yrs to collect. i just hope they don't come out with another format, then i have to start all over again lol.』

(Convoluted story with an ambiguous ending)
『This is a very dark animated film, in which a remnant of humans are fighting aliens - and each other - to survive. On the one hand, you have a band of idealists, who believe that the Earth has a spirit that can be used to fight the invaders (whose true nature remains a mystery). They seek spirit essences of some sort, which when united might save humanity. On the other hand, there are militarists who see no reason to believe any of this; their ultimate weapon threatens to destroy the Earth's spirit, Gaia.

From this somewhat promising premise, the story becomes both a confusing shootout (it is unclear if the enemy aliens die and how to fight them) and a political struggle that becomes extremely deadly. At least for me, I could not quite forget that I was watching something made up - I never suspended my disbelief and gave myself over to it. The risks and ambitions just get bigger and bigger, the scenarios more outlandish and desperate and ultimate. By the end, it had nearly completely lost me.

One thing that is good, in my view, is that the outcome remains unexplained and ambiguous. The viewer is not told what happened and what it means, which is nice in that it leaves a lot to the imagination, which is the mark of all quality sci-fi. However, I found the characters boringly two-dimensional and the plot unoriginal, in spite of the good special effects. I assume that the product shoudl stand on its own, as I am not a gamer, and for me it barely did.

I would not recommend this except to those who like this world because of their familiarity with the game or because they want a simple adventure. It is not for hard sci-fi fans.』

(CGI Animation Done Right!)
『Long before James Cameron started pimping his Avatar epic, Square Pictures pioneered the world's first full-length photorealistic CGI animated movie. This was based on the hit video game franchise of the same name, although the movie took a more sci-fi approach as apposed to the more high fantasy that most of the earlier games.

Taking place on a post-apocalyptic Earth(that's right, not Ivalice!)in the mid-21st Century, Aki Ross is a scientist who is trying to collect eight seperate spirits, which when combined will create an energy field that will rid the planet of an alien force. The invaders are creatures referred to as Phantoms, which are ghostlike monsters that literally suck the souls out of people. This happened after a meteor crashed on Earth decades earlier, and the Phantoms spread throughout the world and killed off most of the humans. The survivors live in specially shielded cities, who have built a giant oribiting cannon to blast the alien meteorite and save the planet. But Sid, the scientist who created the special Phantom-proof shields, realizes that this might cause the aliens' spirit to take over the Earth's spirit known as Gaia, which would destroy all life. Sid along with Aki are enlisted the help of the special military squad of Deep Eyes, the commander of which is Aki's old boyfriend, Gray. They try to find the remaining spirits, however the vengeful General Hein is plotting to destroy the Phantoms at any cost.

The Spirits Within was the precursor to several other computer animated films that attempted to have the characters(human or otherwise)appear as real as possible, such as Beowulf, Kaena: The Prophecy, Resident Evil: Degeneration, and Negadon. The animation was virtually years ahead of its time, which might have worked towards its disadvantage as some people were possibly just not ready for that kind of advancement in cinema. Granted, it might seem pretty common by today's standards, but when this came out in 2001 it was groundbreaking, and even busts the chops of some of the more recent digital animation.

Of course the biggest gripe most people had was that it had very little to do with any of the actual Final Fantasy games. Most fans of the series expected guys with gravity-defying hair riding on Chocobos and swinging colossally huge swords around. However, the movie offered a compelling sci-fi/action/drama which managed to incorporate most of the better attributes that the games had, mainly brilliant character development and a compelling plot. It truly is an exceptionally great film, and worth a second look for those who are willing to see past the fanboy hatred.』

(MAGNIFICENT AND BREATH-TAKING 9.5 OUT OF 10)
『It's a shame that this film didn't do as well as it should have. It didn't do very well in terms of critical response (44% Fresh on Rotten Tomatoes and a 49 out of 100 on Metacritic), it was a box office bomb to the point of where Square Enix kicked the film's director and producer Hironobu Sakaguchi (The creator of the Final Fantasy game franchise) to the curb, and some people have been popping up who proclaim it to be "the worst video game movie ever!" Surprisingly, one of the biggest defenders of the film was film critic Roger Ebert who I hate greatly for a number of reasons. Roger Ebert handed the film a 3.5 out of 4-star rating and didn't believe people would understand the film. I believe Square Enix reacted a little too quickly to fire the creator of Final Fantasy, which I believe was a big mistake. And to those of you who think this is the worst video game film ever, clearly you've never sat through an Uwe Boll travesty, have you? Not to mention, most scores on different sites that I've researched, beg to differ on such a proclamation. I loved this film, it was an amazing cinematic accomplishment in terms of CGI and sci-fi action films. It may not have the most original storyline, but it does pull you in to a certain extent.
WHAT IT'S ABOUT: Year: 2065, thirty-four years previously, a mysterious alien forced called Phantoms invaded the Earth and destroyed most of the life on Earth by stealing the spirits of their victims. Now the planet is overrun with the Phantoms. Dr. Aki Ross is a woman struggling with a Phantom parasite inside of her body and suffers from strange dreams she cannot explain. She goes around the planet trying to find eight spirits which, when all eight are collected, will destroy the Phantoms. With the help of the Deep Eyes Squadron and her mentor, Dr. Sid they search the planet to find the seventh and the most important eight spirit. But they face troubles with the military, and the military unknowingly is about to destroy Gaia (Earth's spirit) and let the planet become overrun with the Phantoms. Now Aki and the team must stop this from happening and destroy the Phantoms at their source.
MUSIC: This music is simply amazing. It fit the mood well and was extremely well-written and composed. I have absolutely no gripes with this area at all, the music is stunning to put it bluntly.
ACTION: This film a feast for the eye. The CGI is staggering and beautiful in every way... and this film came out eight years ago! Nothing competes with this film's CGI, not even Pixar films! The action scenes are wonderful and totally awesome in every regard. The film starts off slow, but then the film goes off with a bang and doesn't stop till the end. It gets the blood and adrenaline pumping and refuses to let go. This is how a Star Wars animated flick should be, not the disastrous Star Wars: The Clone Wars (Widescreen Edition) (Let's just try and pretend that never happened). Quite simply, this sci-fi flick is kickass.
ACTING: Although not all these actors are recognizable, their performances are really good, even though there are some moments of questionable dialogue. This film may not have the most compelling characters, but they do their job well and they do move the storyline along quite well. Overall, this area is really good.
OVERALL: If you love sci-fi flicks, CGI films, or just love awesome films in general, you must see this film because it will blow you away in just about every way.
THE GOOD: Stunning CGI animation, awesome action scenes, good acting, and great music.
THE BAD: The storyline doesn't quite live up to the potential and there are moments of awkward dialogue.』

(Definitely a gamers' movie)
『Beautiful colors and brilliant animation with excellent voicings.

That's it. That's about all you can say about this rewarmed pot-boiler. Hackneyed plot, nonexistent character development, unsatisfying conclusion.

This is a film that will appeal to gamers and fans of anime. Everyone else can find better use for their ticket money.』

『Earth is a desolate wasteland inFinal Fantasy: The Spirits Within. Humanity has been decimated by an invasion of Phantoms, insubstantial aliens that extract and devour the spirits of living things. The few remaining humans have retreated to a handful of cities that are protected by massive bio-energy shields. The beautiful Dr. Aki Ross (voiced by Ming-Na) and her mentor Dr. Sid (Donald Sutherland) have discovered that the energy signatures of eight key Earth spirits can cancel out and destroy the Phantoms. With the help of Captain Edwards (Alec Baldwin) and his band of marines, they must scour the globe for the last two remaining spirits before General Hein (James Woods) manipulates the refugee government into attacking the aliens with an orbital laser that may also destroy the Earth.

Hironobu Sakaguchi's film is taken from the popularFinal Fantasyvideo game franchise, which is particularly well suited to film adaptation with its series of original stories, but the movie features entirely new characters and settings. And likeToy StoryandShrek,Final Fantasy: The Spirits Withinis completely computer generated. Unlike those cartoon comedies, though,The Spirits Withinis a serious science fiction drama with astonishingly human digital actors. Aki, the female lead, appeared in a full-page spread inMaximmagazine's Hot 100 list--and was indistinguishable from the real-life models. The setting and conflict make for incredible action, but it's the larger issues, character interaction, and human elements that really make the movie shine. The Spirits Withinis not simply a science fiction movie, in the same way thatCrouching Tiger, Hidden Dragonis not simply a kung fu flick. The result is a fantastic summer movie with better action and more emotion thanPearl Harbor, and actors more lifelike than those in that other video game movie,Tomb Raider.--Mike Fehlauer

『If you loved FFVIII, you'll love the design of this necklace. It is exactly the same as the pendant Griever that Squall wears in-game, right up to "Sleeping Lion Heart" engraved in it's back.

Unfortunately, the worksmanship is shoddy... don't expect it to last forever even with gentle use. The ring connecting the chain and the pendant of mine bent out of shape about six months after I bought it. Still, solid necklace and a great gift idea for any Final Fantasy fan. ^^』

『The Master Creatures figures are a brand new series of collectible PVC figures depicting the awesome gods and creatures encountered and summoned by the heroes in the many games of the Final Fantasy franchise. With the release of the amazing Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children film, and the recently announced Fall '06 release of the next installment in the game series, Final Fantasy XII, interest in the monsters of the FF world is higher than ever before! There are a larger 'Master' scale of the creatures, with most of the figures standing over 6' tall (and many with impressive wingspans). Each sculpture has astonishing detail and an exciting base, with many parts cast in translucent material.』

(Prolific alien cast, prominent plot)
『Let me just say that I've never read a James White novel before, so I've never been introduced to the Sector General series before I picked this book up at a 2nd hand book store. The synopsis sounded interesting enough, that being a giant ambulance spaceship capable of handling a HUGE spectrum of different aliens (from oxygen breathers, to chlorine breathers to hard radiation absorbers). Upon reading the book I was struck by how wild White's imagination can be when he describes (sometimes in detail and sometimes leaving it up to the reading to fathom) the sights, sounds, stenches, diets and thoughts of each alien being. Seeing the interaction between these aliens and the human characters is a refreshing bit of SF compared to the usual warring species presented in much of today's SF. This may be my first Sector General book, but it certainly won't be my last!』

(Too much background)
『Maybe it's because I've read most of the other Sector General stories.. I felt that Final Diagnosis had way too much explanation in it. Most of the other books do explain the alien physiology classifications that White uses, which is fine, but this particular plot could have fit in a thimble after all the explanations had been cut.』

(This sci-fi book was a find which surprised and intrigued me)
『I have not read the rest of James White's Sector General series but I now eagerly anticipate reading them. The humor and mystery of the book were only equalled by White's talent for describing enthralling alien characters. He paints a picture of the future with a different slant than any I have read thus far, an uplifting look at human/life ironies told from a sympathetic point of view, like a Norman Rockwell doctor who routinely treats nitrogen-breathing slime creatures from a planet with five times our gravity!』

(I'm glad this wasn't the last book in the series after all)
『*Final Diagnosis* refers back to *Star Surgeon*, which pleased me because that the first Sector General book I ever read [in 1967 or 1968, when paperbacks were only 50 cents]. If you've read that earlier book you'll enjoy reading how things turned out, and you should enjoy the book even if you haven't. Although, as another reviewer mentioned, it's easy to figure out most of what's going on (once Hewlitt remembers his kitten's accident, the incident with Morredeth is inevitable, etc.), that doesn't matter much. Never mind the"mystery", the book is worth reading for the characters alone. I only wish, for new readers' sake, that series remained in print as long now as they did when I was a girl. The internet makes it easier to find out-of-print books than it used to be, but that's no substitute for being able to order all the earlier books from the publisher. Ann E. Nichols』

(White is still the best at this style scifi!)
『As a long time reader of White's Sector General novels i was definitly not disappointed with his newest. I really enjoyed Patient Hewlett's attempts to get over his xenophobia. No one writes aliens like White. You really want to meet these creatures by the end of his books. His plots are always wonderfully off kilter. It is good old fashioned science fiction in the best sense of the word. You can read them out of order but to get the full effect try to find the earlier books as well.』
『A tale from the Sector General, the galaxy's greatest medical complex, finds the Sector General Staff fighting an interstellar virus that somehow crosses species--which previously had been thought to be an impossibility.』

(Very well written)
『First things first, this is my first exposure to Vampire: the Masquerade (VtM), so if you don't want a noob's opinion skip this review. On the other hand I've been reading fantasy for about 15 years; I just happened to see this particular book in a used book store and grabbed it. In a way I'm sorry since it's basically the beginning of a re-birth of the VtM world, and I never experienced that world before this (plus now I know the fate of many characters whom I suspect are regulars in the world).

At any rate, this book was surprisingly well written. I'm a bit of a snob when it comes to bad writing, but Marmell was able to weave a tale that kept me truly interested. The main character (Beckett) was a sort of morally grey character that I genuinely liked. None of the characters were over the top, the dialogue flowed, I was never left wondering what in the nine hells the author was talking about - in short, this book avoided all of the major problems I've run into in other similar books. The plot was fast-paced and jumped around a lot, but the layout of the book made it fluid and easy to follow.

All in all I really enjoyed this book and can't think of anything bad to say about it (which is in itself a testament to its quality). I simply wish I had read some other stuff in the VtM world first.

*EDIT*
Almost 3 years later to the day I just finished re-reading this book after having read all 13 clan novels, the Red Death trilogy, the Grail trilogy and the Blood Curse trilogy. I feel now that Ari is either tied with Fleming as the most talented writer in the V:tM world, or even slightly better. Another reviewer was correct to point out that Gehenna is waaaay too big a topic to tackle in a single book, but Ari did a stand-up job, even weaving in several sub-plots that enhanced rather than detracted from the main story.

My impression of the V:tM novels overall is that World of Darkness doesn't particularly care about this arm of its products, as most of the books are mediocre to poor; I'm thinking particularly about the Tremere clan novel and the Red Death trilogy, but probably more than half of the clan novels were a disjointed mess. This author should be given far more assignments in the new RPG novel world, if they bother to expand it beyond the few novels that currently exist.』

(A bit disappointed)
『I just finished reading Gehenna. This is the first Vampire novel I've actually read. Having read as much as I can about the metaplot from the roleplaying books, I was a bit disappointed in the ending.

Like a previous reviewer, I wanted more questions answered. I wanted concrete answers to all of the "myths" about kindred society.

That doesn't take away from the fact the author, in my opinion, did a great job with writing the novel. The descriptions he used, especially describing the beast and how it reacted to stressful situations, was great.』

(Craving for something more)
『I bought this book because I wanted to know how this great series ended. Was I disappointed? A tab bit. There were several prominent figures from pervious novels that weren't even mention like Aisling Sturbridge, Isabel Giovanni, or Khalil. There's no written note, e-mail, or confession. Guess we have to make them up ourselves.
If you want, buy the book for some easy reading but don't expect much. This book was suppose to coincide w/ the storyline on the recently release game Bloodlines, especially concerning the Anarch Smiling Jack.』

(now I'm waiting for the sequal to Gehenna.. wait a sec...)
『I have been a long time fan of the V:TM plotline, mainly game focused material but books as well. I was hoping this "finale" would answer my questions, provide details, uncover secrets, maybe even show a man-behind-the-curtain and basically wrap-up the world of darkness vampire plotline as I knew it. Although the writer does a very good job of outlining the cause and effects within the game itself, he dodges all the major storyline meat I wanted to chew. I wanted to read a book with some answers, and at the end of the book I felt very much like the main character did, which is that the answers aren't going to come. I feel I wasted my time reading this book; it is written well, I will give it that much credit. BUT. If you are looking for the climax of Gehenna, battles between elders, devastating mystery powers, mythic figures, ancient secrets revealed, basic kerblaam stuff, and the rest of that epic carp, look further. I can say that near the end of the book, I kept checking how many pages I had yet to read as there were too many questions and plotlines left unanswered and untouched. Now, I guess its time to start waiting for Gehenna: The Next Final Night. Or maybe Gehenna: Final Night #XVI: Caine Vs. Himself...

(Interesting, but flawed)
『This was only the 2nd WOD novel I've read. I've played the game a few times, but am not a fan of Role-playing. The world itself is interesting, though, and so I bought this book.
It was good, but could have used a little tighter editing. Also, a lot of characters were introduced, and I think most of them have been around a while. This might be good for people who've followed the whole series, but it made it hard to figure out motivations we (it seemed) were assumed to already know.
I'd say this is worth reading if you want to know how it all ends (for now) and you might like it more if you know who all the characters are.』

(Nothing special, but worth owning if you are a die-hard FF7 collector like me)
『An interesting feat I should point out is if you rewind track one past -4:00, an orchestral version of One Winged Angel without vocals whatsoever is to be found. I found this out when I got bored and held the "previous track" button during the first track. It's quite worth listening to, and you can even sing along to it if you like!

Aside from that, this is mainly a "best of" collection of Final Fantasy VII tracks. It's nothing new, but it's certainly worth purchasing if you want to own the music (but are too lazy/poor to shell out money for the original soundtrack). THe orchestral versions of the FF7 Main Theme, J-E-N-O-V-A (although I HUGELY prefer the Advent Children version), and One-Winged Angel (which, AGAIN, the AC version is better than).

I will say this though- the track selection is well made. The Chocobo Theme, Honeybee Manor, Cid's Theme and Crazy Motorcycle are featured. THough I do like some other tracks that were not featured, such as Holding My Thoughts In My Heart and Trail of Blood, I like the selection here. Otherwise, only buy it if you are a lazy person and saving up money for the 4 disc soundtrack is too much for you, or if you are a die hard collector.』

(FFVII Reunion Tracks Audio CD Game)
『The perfectly remastered music of the videogame Final Fantasy VII (7) for PlayStation by Nobou Uematsu. This cd is a Japanese import and the packaging is Japanese, if you want to experience authenticity. If you loved the music from FFVII as much as I did, and would love it on cd, you will adore this album.』

(The last three tracks are great, but the rest are old news)
『Most of the soundtrack is just midi-quality music, with the last three pieces being fantastic orchestral rearrangements. The midis are fairly good, having been chosen by their writer, Nobuo Uematsu, as his favorite songs from the game. Some of his choices I may not agree with, but still the midis range from good to great. Something else that I didn't like is that the midis are just ripped directly off the original soundtrack, and aren't remixed or anything at all. They aren't the main reason to buy this CD, though. The power comes in the orchestral arrangements.
The "FFVII Theme" is the lowest of the three, but is still a wonderful arrangement. This arrangement isn't actually a whole lot different or better than the original, but is still a little better. The piece has happy, dark, and eerie mood shifts throughout it, and is very well-written. Still though, after several listenings, this six-minute piece can get a little slow at times. This gets 4/5, "Great."
Nobuo Uematsu's flagship masterpiece, "One-Winged Angel" is brought to a fabulous level in this arrangement. It sounds, powerful, creepy, and wonderfully evil. The choir sings the villain's name between the lines of latin; "Sephiroth!" they sing, "Sephiroth!" The choir is more high-pitched than I would like, but it adds to the feel of this particular arrangement, which often sacrifices power for a different, more eerie sound. Usually this is better than the power in the original, but is sometimes worse. This choral/orchestral piece is one of the greatest songs you could find. It gets an "Awesome," 5/5.
"Aerith's Theme" is a wonderful piece in general, and this orchestral arrangement gives it a new sound and a new level of emotion. This tearful, beautiful piece is an absolute classic. The orchestra gets a little loud at times, reducing the emotion and making it a crash-boom noise-fest, but it stays quiter for the most part. The song is supposed to be a piano piece, so the orchestra was pretty risky. However, Shirou Hamaguchi's arrangement summons up a 4.5/5, a "Gresome."
The midis are good, but the orchestrals are definitely better, and are the main reason to buy this CD. I recommend it, considering its low price. Definitely worthwhile.』

(The last 3 tracks make this a must buy)
『I normally am the type of person who just can't recommend buying a soundtrack that is comprised of mostly midi quality music, even if the music is really pretty good. However, this album isn't comprised solely of midi quality music. The final three tracks are performed by a symphony orchestra, and the choices of these three songs couldn't have been better.

One Winged Angel, is a scary song that gives Carl Orff's O Fortuna (Do a net search for an O Fortuna midi if you don't know the song by name) a run for it's money when it comes to extra-ordinarily powerful good vs. evil face offs. This song is as evil sounding a song as they come, but it's very beautiful. The choir singing the 'Sephiroth' chorus really added to it's power.

Aerith's Theme. Quite simply the most beautiful, tranquil, and awe inspiring song Uematsu has written. This song is at a calibre and class all it's own when it comes to Uematsu's music. Far and away the best song he's ever written. Whether you've listened to this song once, or a million times over you can appreciate the beauty of this song. Whether you consider video game composers as second-rate composers or if they're the only type of orchestral composers you'll listen to, this song stands out as among the best you'll ever hear.

The Main Theme of Final Fantasy 7. When you compare it to Aerith's Theme or even One Winged Angel this song doesn't seem to special, but that's only by comparison. This song is a very pretty, sweeping song that covers the overall feel of the game. It's at once beautiful in it's peaceful tranquility and creepy in it's moments of transition.

The rest of the songs on the album are pretty good really, in fact there are a number of songs that, if performed by the symphony orchestra that played these other three songs, would have rounded out the CD and made it one of the best symphonies you could buy. But they're only midi quality songs, and therefore lack in sound quality, and are written such that they can loop endlessly so have no definate ending. More's the pity.

But this is still a great album to have.』
