『Master Creatures Series 03: Final Fantasy IX Phoenix is a PVC figure measuring approximately 6.5 inches tall. The Phoenix is posed in mid-flight above the eddying swell of a flame-limned tail. The Phoenixâs wings, composed of dense varicolored feathers, are aligned against a kaleidoscopic ring designed to filter light from behind. An Eidolon, the Phoenix can be summoned only by Eiko Carol; the summoning can be learned by equipping a Phoenix Pinion. The Phoenix manifests from sundered blackness, showering its environment with rainbow-hued light as the entity sinuously descends to smite a chosen adversary with a swirling red-orange fireball.』 タイトル『 Final Fantasy Movie , 31x43 >

I had never heard of this group and was intrigued by the weird title. Apparently He Poos Clouds is the 2nd studio album for a Welsh Indie Rock band and when it was initially released Pitchfork Media and Allmusic wrote very positive reviews. I can only agree with this assessment. The sound is quite different and to me it sounds like a mix between avant-garde and experimental music and a bit psychadelic rock. The booklet contains all the lyrics but the selection of font make it hard to read. We also get a very informative list of whom plays what on album. 4/5.』
(Some of the clearest, most purposeful music to come out in ages) 『Although I'm still confuzzled as to the rationality of Pallett naming this project after one of the biggest video game series around (as that series would overshadow the group), nevertheless, this music is amazing. I guess you could call it "indie", but Owen has alot going on here, from classical influences, to renaissance, to cabaret, and tons more I might not even notice. This album is evidence that Pallett is one of the most important forces in music today (remember, the orchestral arrangements on both Arcade Fire records are all him).』
(Reaching) 『This is some of the most reaching, intimate music that I have ever heard. Sure, the band name may be unfortunate (imagine trying to promote your goofy little indie movie project you've decided to call "Star Wars"), and "He Poos Clouds" makes it an odd gift choice for the uninitiated, but this album has staying power and emotional reach.
Pallett has a Joanna Newsom-like charm and gift for skilled minimal compositions, a reaching voice and a strong use of dissonance and melody. Parts of it sound like devilishly-composed, wrenching show tunes, with a wrenching component that should be considered heartbroken rather than dark. Check out the video for the title track on YouTube and consider this purchase.』
(Unusual and interesting) 『This album is definitely unusual, and very hard to define. I love it, but I'd be hard pressed to tell anyone what it's like. It's possible that those of us that like role-playing games, fantasy novels, clever lyrics and classical music are sure to like it. Those of us that like only some of those things will probably like it. Those of ust that like none of those things still might well like it. "This Lamb Sells Condos" is a fantastic song, with both the music and the lyrics totally fitting to the fear and ridicule of the topic. Incidentally, Owen Pallett is even better live. Some of the other reviewers have done a much better job than I can of describing it, I just wanted to put in my two cents worth. Give it a try, it's great!』
(Thanks For This Refreshing Album!) 『This album has been in rotation for me since it came out in 2006. It's often categorized as "Baroque" or "Chamber" Pop, but I think that's inaccurate. This is its own thing. Owen Pallett isn't just adding some strings to a pop song. No, these are well thought-out compositions that pass as pop songs, many of them quite catchy, all of them sophisticated and engaging. This music is dynamic, melodic, often rhythmically syncopated, and very well put together and played.
Finally, I have to point out that Owen Pallett does the absolute best job I've seen of doing the live one-man-band thing using his voice, a violin and some pedals (including loop pedals, which I usually find ultra boring). He also pitches the violin down to produce more cello-like parts. I've also seen him throw in some piano, especially on the sublimely brilliant "This Lamb Sells Condos" (which also has a really cool video).』

Many orchestral tracks can be found on the CD. Comparing to Nobuo Uematsu's clean but memorable tracks or Hitoshi Sakimoto (who composed Final Fantasy XII)'s beautiful and stunning themes, the composer, Masashi Hamauzu, who arranged this soundtrack did not try to over-do his musical ability.
The soundtrack has well arranged chords and melody, ranging from romantic garden-like scenery to top secret espionage and spy music. The battle music is tense and exciting - what you expect from Final Fantasy VII. Many tracks feature the clarinet juxtaposed on top of a pad of multiple violin playing in sync and a cold clean piano accompaniment. Other tracks include elegant piano and strong percussion.
Reminds the listener of being in a Jazz bar - relaxing, refreshing, and cool. Expect endless hours of listening, without songs becoming old or trite.』
(So many memories) 『Seeing this product brought back so many memories of when I first played the game. I fell head over heels for it when I first saw it and played it. I love the music. "Silent Edge," "LONGING," "Trespasser," and "Uneasy Feelings" are great songs. They put me to sleep whenever I listen to them. And I like music like that so for when I take naps.
This CD is well wroth especiall since you get a Music Video of Gackt's Redemption Music and beautiful music score as always from SquareEnix.』
(Totally Awesome) 『As my daughter put it when she opened it -- "OMG, this is totally awesome, the Vincentness!"』
(Extremely good soundtrack for a FPS, not near as good as the previous FF soundtracks.) 『Well, I own pretty much every final fantasy soundtrack that exists currently (including 12 limited edition). I also have Chrono Trigger and Chrono Cross as well as a number of other ones too. Being no stranger to gaming music, I found this one OK but not fantastic by any means. This game's music almost totally abandons that of the original Final Fantasy VII music, only retaining the "marching" feel that FFVII has in many of the soundtracks. Some change is good, but this music does loose the feel of the original FF7 game though.
There are some positives of this music though, which is why I rated it a 4. This music, as you play the game, does mesh in quite well in the general theme of the game. A lot of the music is more mysterious and march like, kinda the feel of the army-fighting-way that the main game has. This music does sound good though, especially the last two tracks but as like the game, it's an almost total departure from the original game.
As far as the collector's edition vs the normal. In my opinion, if you plan to buy the game and the single then this boxed set is a pretty good idea too if you want everything together and actually have it for collecting. On the other hand, if you're like me and buy it for just a collector item and don't buy the game or the single then much of this kinda feels like a waste of money. When I bought this, I thought of a foldout case like the FFXII collector edition, where you could put the cerberus DVD and the single in. It's not quite like that..instead it's designed so the cases of each of the other items will fit in the boxed set. I didn't like that idea much, but meh.』
(Just Excellent!!!) 『If you are a true FF7 Fan you need to get this box set of CD's. The music is just amazing and has a great sound to it. The price is reasonable for what you get. And since it is imported it makes it all the sweeter.』

As a piano player, I only used to practice classical music but since I have bought these I have expanded my repertoire. They are very lovely to hear and enjoyable to practice. Each time I play them I develop more and more attachments towards the characters and appreciate the people who made them possible.』
(Fresh and Beautiful.) 『I wasn't sure how this album would fair after the departure of Nobuo Uematsu (with such great work as the iconic "One Winged Angel" or the underrated "Dancing Mad"), however, after thoroughly listening to this album I can't say I have missed him one bit. "Final Fantasy X-2: PIano Collection" is without a doubt my favourite in the series and with a combination of great performances, great arrangements and great compositions it almost reaches perfection.
"Windcrest~The Three Trails~" (the opening track) is my favourite of the album and is perfect; in a ternary form the piece begins in a reflective mood with a constant stream of quavers and harmony that changes from the right to left hand. The quavers continue in section B in the left hand while the right hand plays triplets; the duple/compound rhythms flow together so well and build to a very expressive chordal climax which breaks into half of section A again to end. What I also love about this track is it is performed so expressively and flawlessly it seems easy. Of course I was surprised when I picked up the sheet music and discovered that it was in A Flat Minor. It took a bit of practice to get the polyrhythms in the middle section right.
Some of my other favourite tracks include the Jazz arrangements; "Paine's Theme" is this sort of contemporary/Jazz fusion and "Creature Creation" - wow; the 'spider-like' (at least that's the feeling I get when I listen/play it) leaps by the left hand is impressive and the whole piece sounds improvised (in a good way). I don't want to spoil this track, it's a lot of fun! "Party" is another track which I guess could best be described as 'Theme and variation' and is my second favourite track.
"Nightmare at a Cave" is a short but a dissonant and virtuosic piece. "1000 Words" is a beautiful arrangement of the hit song; "Epilogue ~Reunion~" although slightly cliché at times peaks in its polyrhythms which work just as well as Windcrest, if not better.
Eternity ~Memory of Lightwaves~ is 6 and a half minutes of emotional brilliance.
The only disappointing thing about the album is the lack of a grandiose, powerful battle theme. "Demise" is underwhelming to say the least and just falls to the likes of the "Final Fantasy VII Battle Theme", "One Winged Angel" and the "Final Fantasy IX Battle theme".
It's still a must buy for any FF fan, or anyone who loves piano arrangements in general really, to be honest I've never played a FF game in my life; but adore the music!』
(A new experience of piano collection) 『I have the piano collection for FFVIII, FFX and just added FFX-2 to my collections. This is a different piano collection from what I owned. Most of the tracks focus on the parts raterh than melody so it's bit hard to recognize the soundtracks. However, the arrangement and the performance is excellent, full of emotions. These are masterpieces of FF music industry.
There are 12 tracks of which there are 2 version of eternity which are fabulous. Never know that this sond can be arranged in these ways.
The musician involved are Noriko Matsueda, Takahito Eguchi, Hiroko Kokubu, Masahiro Sayama and Febian Reza Pane.
Tracklist: 01 - Seal of the Wind ~The Three Trails~ 02 - Yuna's Ballad 03 - Paine's Theme 04 - Creature Creation 05 - The Calm Lands 06 - Zanarkand Ruins 07 - Akagi Team 08 - Nightmare in the Den 09 - Demise 10 - 1000 Words 11 - Epilogue ~Reunion~ 12 - Eternity ~Memories of Lightwaves~
This collection is different and you would expect surprises. :)
』
(A pleasant surprise!) 『This album is remarkable not only in performance, but also in the quality of arrangement from such a risqué game album. At the first wind of this recording, most of the gaming community was stunned. The soundtrack from which this collection derives is so unpleasing that it might take several aspirin to finish it. The tracks from the Original Soundtrack were so non-musical, that we were left in disbelief that piano arrangements could be made. However, we were proved wrong upon hearing this masterpiece of piano arrangement.
These arrangements vary from calm and flowing music to music so loud that piano strings are forced to break. On the seventh piece,"Party", the end climax is really amplified by the breaking of an A string in the piano.
This album has some jazz improvisation and some fully structured piano arrangement. These styles complement each other beautifully in this surprisingly listenable album.』
Core2Duoノートレビュー 's review (Not as good as part one, and that's rough) 『This is parts 3 and 4 of a four episode show off of the final fantasy game of the same name. The show isn't based on the game, but they have the same setting.
I watched this with part one. I don't think it would be so easy to follow without having seen part 1. This begins with the main character Linally having merged with the wind crystal. It went in through her chest, but manifests its guidance by making her butt cheeks glow when it wants to show the adventurers something. (She wears a shirt and panties but no pants.) Somehow that says a lot about this show. There isn't really a cue to the audience that this is because of the embedded crystal, so not having seen part one could make this confusing.
I preferred part one to this video, mostly because here there long tedious fight scenes. One of the better features of these is that there is a longish sequence with totally inappropriate music. The music is happy and jazzish and would better accompany something having to do with a chokobo than with a going to the moon to fight the death god scene. There is comic relief here, but it seems forced. The best part of the video is seeing the setting from the video games drawn out and little details added.
Overall I don't recommend this movie. It's not so terrible, but it isn't wonderful either. Also because you only get two 30 minute episodes you don't get much video.』
(Final Fantasy) 『got the game but never seen the movie what is it like cant buy the movie saving my money for Re3 best game ever of course now tell me what the final fantasy movie is like already got VII AND VIII both versions.i wanna know what the movies like.』
(One of the best Game-Anime swach I have ever seen!) 『Ok Final Fantasy is a grate game. But when it is a Anime it's even beter. FF pedasesers where not good for instens, Tecken gooD game, bad anime. But FF takes it all away. You get good story line, grat grafics, and whene it's in Japanise you get the real fell that your in the story.』
(Its old but hot!) 『the game is old but NON-Stop RPG!!!!!』
(it was a plethora of excellent animation and story telling.) 『the plot is not as predictable as you would think. this video is defintely on the must see at Blockbuster.』

(Pretty good for a filler.) 『This movie has two things that make it a must-have for DBZ fans: Awesome fight scenes, and our first view of Videl and teenage Gohan. But it also has two anoying things: We only see Videl and teenage Gohan in the last episode, and the Grand Kai. The grand Kai is probably the second most stupid character in the DBZ universe (The most stupid being the Ginyu Force). But aside from that, it's a pretty good movie.』
(Great Saiyaman....Good if you love cheese.) 『I love Dragon Ballz, i think its one of the coolest things ever put on gods green earth. The story is top notch, the fights are drool inducing, and the message of good vs evil, love, respect, heart, desire, death, and courAage make this one of the most important cartoons of our time. This review has so far been cheesey, which is another trait DBZ has down pat. I think the Cheese is what makes this show so good, i mean, who could forget the time Vegeta had to wear pink, killians love affair with Marion, or even some of the stupid things Goku says all the time, its pure camp, and pure cheese and pure pleasure. This video is filled with cheese, it features Goku being stupid on snake way( very funny scene, remember the"bye guys"part ), and the different kai's of the universe( the video explains the whole Kai thing ) constantly agrue and poke fun at one another. This one had some fights, but nothing memorable, the storys ok, even though its just a gap spacer between the cell saga and the even cooler Buu saga ( wait til you see the Buu saga, Dbz at its best ) But until then, sit back and enjoy some newly released american dbz, its been a couple months, you've earn it.』
Core2Duoノートレビュー 's review (does not age well) 『7.9 THE FILM ITSELF 6.9 VISUALS 7.5 SOUND 7.0 PACKAGING 8.4 EXTRAS
Remembering that Final destination came out in 2000, it's easy to see how old the film looks - especially on blu-ray. But even more so, the dialogue, the some what hammy / cheesy acting and just how young the cast is makes you understand you are not watching an Oscar award winning film.
Final Destination is an above average thriller / horror flick that deals with a young man who has visions of death. When he escapes the "death" that was imminent, the count down is on until death "catches up" to those who escaped. It's an interesting premise and it's handled decently. But after 9 years, it's certainly not the most engaging of stories, it sometimes doesn't really hold your attention and the characters feel cookie-cutter at best. But if you're looking for something different and slightly entertaining, you can do a lot worse than Final Destination.
VISUALS 6.9 There's no reason this should be bought on blu-ray. It looks okay at best, but for visual nuts they will certainly call this "horrible". From the bad haircuts that are really shown well here to the blotchy skin / makeup, some movies just should be left on DVD. Of course, being 9 years old doesn't help, but I've seen movies had 20 years ago that look stunning compared to this. It seems like no remastering has been done here at all.
SOUND 7.5 It's good, but nothing special. And after listening to the entire "isolated score" feature, I'm even more less impressed with this than I originally was. The rest of the sound - dialogue and explosions - are better, but still, nothing that makes you crank up the surround sound or anything.
PACKAGING 7.0 No main menu, the movie just starts with a menu bar that pops up on the bottom. The cover kind of resembles a cheesy teen-horror / action flick, and that's exactly what the film is.
EXTRAS 8.4 Two commentary tracks, one of which is really good (the one with the crew) while the other is average at best (the one with some of the cast members). There is a feature that is commentary by the composer as the entire score is presented over the dialogue. I never listened to one of these before, and this was not a good first selection for a film to do so on. The score just isn't that interesting here and the dialogue is "blah" at best.
"The Perfect Souffle: Testing Final Destination" is an inyteretsing feature I have never seen again. The creators talk about what a testing piece does for the film and what changes after it. Kind of interesting, but glad more films don't have this as it won't be watched by many fans.
"Premonitions" is an obnoxiously cheesy piece about a woman who believes she has the power to see when people are dead or in danger, and that she can see the future. Maybe if she didn't try to force her kids to believe it (that's how it seems anyway) it wouldn't be so bad, but this just seems like a family that will be in the news one day for joining a cult or something.
Then there are 3 deleted scenes that show a radically different ending. These are good because it shows just how far off the ending was, but they're bad because this ending is a horrible decision. So I'm glad they changed it and this is a very interesting original ending.
FINAL VERDICT Final Destination is a decent film that offers something new to a tired genre, but it certainly hasn't aged well in the 9 years since it was released. The special features are impressive, but aside from the crew commentary and the shocking alternate ending there isn't much substance here.
8.1/10 "IMPRESSIVE"』
(great horror that deserves the many positive ratings and reviews) 『The first Final Destination is actually a really good horror film. It's significantly better than the third Final Destination movie (that's the one with the carnival and roller-coaster ride segment, right? I like this one a LOT more).
The only flaw with this film is that the first 20 minutes start off rather predictable, but give the story some time to develop and I believe you'll find yourself really getting into it.
Maybe it's just me, but I found it kind of disrespectful that they'd keep playing John Denver's classic "Rocky Mountain High" throughout the film. The song plays whenever something bad is about to happen.
It's disrespectful because, as you probably know, John Denver lost his life in an airplane accident a few years before this movie was created and released. The writers should have honestly picked a different song.
Now about the storyline. Are you the kind of person that believes you can cheat death? If so, do you believe if you happen to cheat death that death will rear its head shortly after in ANOTHER attempt to take your life? These are the kind of serious and curious questions that many of us probably ask ourselves, and these same questions are the reason this kind of horror is a few steps above the generic slasher kind (and honestly, slasher flicks are the kind of horror stories have been done to the point of exhaustion by this point).
I often wonder about these questions personally, though obviously it's important not to let these questions interfere with enjoying your life. But it makes you wonder exactly what your destiny is and when it will happen, doesn't it?
Anyway, great horror suspense.』
(Extremely Underrated Sci-Fi Movie) 『Final Destination has an interesting concept. Death hunts people who overcame his plan for them. A script originally written for X-Files, it is intelligent, cerebral, and witty. It is not your average "kill-teens" flick. Each teen has their own personality and you can actually tell the difference between all of them. You sympathize with the teens and hope they don't die; instead of rooting for the killer (in this case Death itself). The teens have actual intelligence and are not idiots. The cliffhanger ending is truly excellent. Among the Final Destination series, this is the best. Final Destination 2 (second best) suffered (in my opinion) from a relatively happy, hopeful ending compared to this cliffhanger ending; the new life concept seemed too hopeful. The Final Destination (third best) was relatively good but suffered from "show everybody die and not leave mystery" syndrome. Final Destination 3 suffered from stupid characters who no one cares about syndrome.』
(Useless, dumb POS movie) 『As they are, horror movies are for the most part useless and have no cultural value at all unless you're some kind of sadist. Final Destinations 1, 2 and 3 aren't so much horror as they are safety films that show what happen if you don't put safety first. People are decapitated, suffocated, immolated, defenestrated, and the only lesson we learn from this movie is... they shouldn't make a sequel... but they did anyway, 2 of them! Then they're making this new dumb Final Destination movie, with the word "The" in front of it as though they are trying to have more respect for the English language somehow by making the title a complete sentence on its own.
Don't watch Final Destination. You'll only destroy your mind and your dignity.』
(No Cheating The Reaper) 『The "Final Destination" series started off with this low-key and middle-budget suspense film. Cast with a bunch of young actors in a twist on the old slasher formula, except this time, the mad killer is old Grimm himself. It makes this movie a minor classic, in that there's never anyone chasing these kids through the woods (so to speak). You don't need to set up a story about the killer that got killed by the angry mob or tormented by nasty classmates. Death doesn't need that kind of contraption, Death just is.
Of the actors, only Sean William Scott (aka "Stifler") and Heroes' Ari Larter have moved up from this series starter. Then one of the kids - Devon Sawa - has a premonition that gets him and six classmates plus one teacher booted from the flight. Said plane then explodes upon take-off. This team of cast-offs realize they've cheated death...or did they? Seems Death's Design isn't to crazy about being disrupted, and comes back for the stragglers. This is where "Final Destination" slips back into formula, and became more inventive in the way the teens get killed off. This does sort of make FD a precursor to the Saw series, in that the kills had to be elaborately set up and executed (har har).
Even with the beach-blanket-bingo of the FD plotline, the suspense is real. Who goes next and who beats the reaper? The concept was so successful that the Big D came back for two more sets of teens (Final Destination 2 and Final Destination 3) with a 4th in the works with little variance in the formula.』 『While hardly a spiritual upgrade of the slasher film, this high-concept teen body-count thriller drops hints ofThe Sixth Senseinto the smart-aleck sensibility ofScream. Helmed byX-Filesveteran James Wong, who cowrote the screenplay with longtime creative partner Glen Morgan,Final Destinationis an often entertaining thriller marked by an unsettling sense of unease and scenes of eerie imagery. It suffers, however, from a schizophrenic tone and a frankly ludicrous premise. A high school Cassandra, Alex Browning (Devon Sawa ofIdle Hands), wakes from a preflight nightmare and panics when he's convinced the plane is doomed. His ruckus bumps seven passengers from the Paris-bound plane, which immediately explodes into a fireball on takeoff, but fate hasn't finished with these lucky few and, one by one, death claims them. Wong brings such a funereal tone to these early scenes of survivor's guilt and inevitable doom that the already far-fetched film threatens to veer into unplanned absurdity. Thankfully, the tale loosens up with a playful morgue humor: one of the victims winds up the splattered punch line to a grim joke and elaborate Rube Goldbergesque chains of cause and effect become inspired spectacles of destruction.Final Destinationis a pretty silly thriller when it takes itself seriously, and the filmmakers play fast and loose with their own rules of fate, but once they stick their tongues firmly in cheek, the film takes off with a screwy interpretation of the domino effect of doom.--Sean Axmaker』

(Convoluted story with an ambiguous ending) 『This is a very dark animated film, in which a remnant of humans are fighting aliens - and each other - to survive. On the one hand, you have a band of idealists, who believe that the Earth has a spirit that can be used to fight the invaders (whose true nature remains a mystery). They seek spirit essences of some sort, which when united might save humanity. On the other hand, there are militarists who see no reason to believe any of this; their ultimate weapon threatens to destroy the Earth's spirit, Gaia.
From this somewhat promising premise, the story becomes both a confusing shootout (it is unclear if the enemy aliens die and how to fight them) and a political struggle that becomes extremely deadly. At least for me, I could not quite forget that I was watching something made up - I never suspended my disbelief and gave myself over to it. The risks and ambitions just get bigger and bigger, the scenarios more outlandish and desperate and ultimate. By the end, it had nearly completely lost me.
One thing that is good, in my view, is that the outcome remains unexplained and ambiguous. The viewer is not told what happened and what it means, which is nice in that it leaves a lot to the imagination, which is the mark of all quality sci-fi. However, I found the characters boringly two-dimensional and the plot unoriginal, in spite of the good special effects. I assume that the product shoudl stand on its own, as I am not a gamer, and for me it barely did.
I would not recommend this except to those who like this world because of their familiarity with the game or because they want a simple adventure. It is not for hard sci-fi fans.』
(CGI Animation Done Right!) 『Long before James Cameron started pimping his Avatar epic, Square Pictures pioneered the world's first full-length photorealistic CGI animated movie. This was based on the hit video game franchise of the same name, although the movie took a more sci-fi approach as apposed to the more high fantasy that most of the earlier games.
Taking place on a post-apocalyptic Earth(that's right, not Ivalice!)in the mid-21st Century, Aki Ross is a scientist who is trying to collect eight seperate spirits, which when combined will create an energy field that will rid the planet of an alien force. The invaders are creatures referred to as Phantoms, which are ghostlike monsters that literally suck the souls out of people. This happened after a meteor crashed on Earth decades earlier, and the Phantoms spread throughout the world and killed off most of the humans. The survivors live in specially shielded cities, who have built a giant oribiting cannon to blast the alien meteorite and save the planet. But Sid, the scientist who created the special Phantom-proof shields, realizes that this might cause the aliens' spirit to take over the Earth's spirit known as Gaia, which would destroy all life. Sid along with Aki are enlisted the help of the special military squad of Deep Eyes, the commander of which is Aki's old boyfriend, Gray. They try to find the remaining spirits, however the vengeful General Hein is plotting to destroy the Phantoms at any cost.
The Spirits Within was the precursor to several other computer animated films that attempted to have the characters(human or otherwise)appear as real as possible, such as Beowulf, Kaena: The Prophecy, Resident Evil: Degeneration, and Negadon. The animation was virtually years ahead of its time, which might have worked towards its disadvantage as some people were possibly just not ready for that kind of advancement in cinema. Granted, it might seem pretty common by today's standards, but when this came out in 2001 it was groundbreaking, and even busts the chops of some of the more recent digital animation.
Of course the biggest gripe most people had was that it had very little to do with any of the actual Final Fantasy games. Most fans of the series expected guys with gravity-defying hair riding on Chocobos and swinging colossally huge swords around. However, the movie offered a compelling sci-fi/action/drama which managed to incorporate most of the better attributes that the games had, mainly brilliant character development and a compelling plot. It truly is an exceptionally great film, and worth a second look for those who are willing to see past the fanboy hatred.』
(MAGNIFICENT AND BREATH-TAKING 9.5 OUT OF 10) 『It's a shame that this film didn't do as well as it should have. It didn't do very well in terms of critical response (44% Fresh on Rotten Tomatoes and a 49 out of 100 on Metacritic), it was a box office bomb to the point of where Square Enix kicked the film's director and producer Hironobu Sakaguchi (The creator of the Final Fantasy game franchise) to the curb, and some people have been popping up who proclaim it to be "the worst video game movie ever!" Surprisingly, one of the biggest defenders of the film was film critic Roger Ebert who I hate greatly for a number of reasons. Roger Ebert handed the film a 3.5 out of 4-star rating and didn't believe people would understand the film. I believe Square Enix reacted a little too quickly to fire the creator of Final Fantasy, which I believe was a big mistake. And to those of you who think this is the worst video game film ever, clearly you've never sat through an Uwe Boll travesty, have you? Not to mention, most scores on different sites that I've researched, beg to differ on such a proclamation. I loved this film, it was an amazing cinematic accomplishment in terms of CGI and sci-fi action films. It may not have the most original storyline, but it does pull you in to a certain extent. WHAT IT'S ABOUT: Year: 2065, thirty-four years previously, a mysterious alien forced called Phantoms invaded the Earth and destroyed most of the life on Earth by stealing the spirits of their victims. Now the planet is overrun with the Phantoms. Dr. Aki Ross is a woman struggling with a Phantom parasite inside of her body and suffers from strange dreams she cannot explain. She goes around the planet trying to find eight spirits which, when all eight are collected, will destroy the Phantoms. With the help of the Deep Eyes Squadron and her mentor, Dr. Sid they search the planet to find the seventh and the most important eight spirit. But they face troubles with the military, and the military unknowingly is about to destroy Gaia (Earth's spirit) and let the planet become overrun with the Phantoms. Now Aki and the team must stop this from happening and destroy the Phantoms at their source. MUSIC: This music is simply amazing. It fit the mood well and was extremely well-written and composed. I have absolutely no gripes with this area at all, the music is stunning to put it bluntly. ACTION: This film a feast for the eye. The CGI is staggering and beautiful in every way... and this film came out eight years ago! Nothing competes with this film's CGI, not even Pixar films! The action scenes are wonderful and totally awesome in every regard. The film starts off slow, but then the film goes off with a bang and doesn't stop till the end. It gets the blood and adrenaline pumping and refuses to let go. This is how a Star Wars animated flick should be, not the disastrous Star Wars: The Clone Wars (Widescreen Edition) (Let's just try and pretend that never happened). Quite simply, this sci-fi flick is kickass. ACTING: Although not all these actors are recognizable, their performances are really good, even though there are some moments of questionable dialogue. This film may not have the most compelling characters, but they do their job well and they do move the storyline along quite well. Overall, this area is really good. OVERALL: If you love sci-fi flicks, CGI films, or just love awesome films in general, you must see this film because it will blow you away in just about every way. THE GOOD: Stunning CGI animation, awesome action scenes, good acting, and great music. THE BAD: The storyline doesn't quite live up to the potential and there are moments of awkward dialogue.』

(Time warp) 『This is a very interesting film and it deals with time travel. Imagine this..you're on one of the most powerful aircraft carriers of present day and you get whooshed back in time to just before the attack on Pearl Harbor. I won't spoil it for future viewers, I'll just say I really enjoyed it! Kirk Douglas and Michael Sheen are excellent and add their own quirks to the film. A must see. What would you do??』
(Great Sci Fi) 『This has traditionally been on of my favorites. An older film this boasts a very good cast and a what if scenario, if history could be changed. If you like military films and Sci Fi you may well enjoy this film.』
(One for a remake) 『The Final Countdown has always been one of my favourite what if movies. I purchased it on Blue Ray and was surprised at how well it turned out. Most of the time when they take an older movie like this and put them on BR and you watch them on a large screen TV 50 inches or better it is still like watching a VHS tape on a big screen. The BR Copy I bought was like a VHS upgrade to DVD. By no means as clear as BR should be but much much better than I expected to get. Hats off to the remastering team that did the work on these disks. BR and DVD.
Lastly. Would it not be cool for a good director and production team to remake this movie. And not ruin it with PC garbage or turning it in to a global warming commercial, or turning it in to a liberal anti war propaganda reel. Wouldn't it be cool if it was done right with today's effects?
What if』
(Modern Classic) 『This movie has always been a favorite of mine. The special effects were good enough for the time and still do not take away from a very entertaining movie. The Blu-ray clarity has added a wonderful aspect to all the flight operations. This movie was made the cooperation of the Navy and everything is actual footage and not computer generated. The F-14s and the Confererate Air Force Zeros performed amazing maneuvers together. The cast is first rate and made the movie work. As an added enjoyment, watch the interviews with the "Jolly Rogers". Naval Aviators always have something fun to say and don't worry about being politically correct.』 『Movie DVD』 『With a tantalizing "what-if?" scenario and a respectable cast of Hollywood veterans,The Final Countdownplays like a grand-scale episode ofThe Twilight Zone. It's really no more than that, and time-travel movies have grown far more sophisticated since this popular 1980 release, but there's still some life remaining in the movie's basic premise: What if a modern-era Navy aircraft carrier--in this case the real-life nuclear-poweredU.S.S. Nimitz--was caught in an anomalous storm and thrust 40 years backwards in time to the eve of Japan's attack on Pearl Harbor? Will the ship's commander (Kirk Douglas) interfere with history? Will the visiting systems analyst (Martin Sheen) convince him not to? Will a rescued senator from 1941 (Charles Durning) play an unexpected role in the future of American politics? Veteran TV director Don Taylor doesn't do much with the ideas posed by this potentially intriguing plot; he seems more interested in satisfying aviation buffs with loving footage of F-14 "Jolly Roger" fighter jets, made possible by the Navy's generous cooperation. That makesThe Final Countdowna better Navy film than a full-fledged time-travel fantasy, but there's a nice little twist at the end, and the plot holes are easy to ignore. James Cameron would've done it better, but this popcorn thriller makes an enjoyable double-bill withThe Philadelphia Experiment.--Jeff Shannon』
Core2Duoノートレビュー 's review (Great Shirt) 『I just got this shirt in the mail the other day.
There's not much I can say about it, however, I will note that I received mine in excellent quality. My only gripe, however, is over the image itself.
Any Final Fantasy (let alone Sephiroth) fan that wants a shirt like this that is typically hard to come by may notice the sword. While its more difficult to notice because of the blood that has been left on the image, the sword is a great deal shorter, indicating that the image has been edited, more than likely through Photoshop or the like.
It is normally twice as long and also the blood is missing when you actually receive the shirt itself.
Despite this, though, I found myself enjoying having Sephiroth on my shirt while walking around school and found it particularly comfortable, especially in the Florida heat.
4 stars due to the edited image.』 『 The Final Fantasy shirt is black with the Sephiroth image shown in the picture on the front. 』 タイトル『 Final Fantasy Tonberry Plush Keychain >

(A bit small...) 『A really nice piece of merchandise for fans to own, however it is a bit small.
I assume that is because the main aduience for this item is children, but the metal plant and size of the band make it awkward for adults or teens looking to add it to a costume. It will fit, but the band will be tight and you won't have more than an inch of excess fabric after knotting it.
If possible, I think interested buyers should try to locate one of these in person to get an idea of the size if you require a larger one.』

(Not as good as my original but still cool.) 『Months ago I had a similar wristband that I had gotten from an anime convention but sadly one of the dogs got ahold of it and chewed it apart. Since then I've been trying to find a replacement and this is the closest one I can find to my original. Its beautifully made, good leather, but my wrists are in between the tightest and second tightest snaps. So I'm forced by circulation to my hand to wear it with the second snaps done and as a result it slides around a bit more than I'd like. But I like the thicker ring in the wolf's mouth, on my old one it was a thin piece of metal that constantly got caught and bent out of shape.』

Core2Duoノートレビュー 's review (Excellent Quality) 『This is probably my favorite Final Fantasy action figure. I am more of a person who likes or loves something about all the Final Fantasy games and this character really stuck out to me. First let me say the first figure I got had his head broke off and his gear all messed up. The second I got had his sword broken and didn't come with the metal backing on the stand. I said forget it and just kept it. I took super glue and fixed the sword which looks like new now and he is sturdy enough to stand with any help so no biggie with the stand.
The features on the armour and everything really come out on this character which looks very nice considering the price. The one thing is that he isn't the most poseable and make sure you are gentle when you change his hands out. It doesn't take much pressure but too much might break something. Though he may not be too poseable he can still stand on his own which is a problem I have had with other Final Fantasy action figures. Overall this is an excellent piece and I will have to say it is my absolute favorite thus far.』
(Fantastic figure!) 『At about 23cm (9in) tall, the Play Arts Final Fantasy XII Judge Gabranth figure is one of the best of the whole Play Arts series. The amount of detail on his armour, swords and helmet is stunning. As one reviewer stated, his armour usually covers up his joints, so most of the time he looks like a sculpture rather than an action figure.
He can assume a good number of poses, though the bulk of his armour prevents anything too flamboyant. He's quite well balanced so he'll be able to stand on his own without using the base and stand provided. His cape also bears an insignia of the Archadian Empire on both sides (see my submitted photos).
His hands may be hard to change when you first try it; just be patient and gradually increase the force and twist that you apply, and they'll come off. He comes with two pairs of hands, one pair are balled fists, the other are open hands with small sockets to allow the weapons to be held tightly. His two swords also join at the handle, just like in the game!
Overall, an extremely cool looking action figure, and a must have for Final Fantasy fans.』
(Awesome Figure) 『Awesome figure, sword breaks easily, but super glue works to make it more durable than before, or at least in my case』
(UNBELIEVEABLE FOR FINAL FANTASY 12 FANS!!!!) 『This is truly an amazing product. I cannot comment enough on how amazingly detailed this play arts figure is. Everything about Judge Gabranth Play Arts figure is perfect! Another good thing is that his joints are covered by pieces of armor, thus making this the absolute best Sqare Enix Play Arts figure out of any Final Fantasy! Inexpensive yet masterfully detailed, I cannot recommend this product enough for any Final Fantasy fan. My only complaints are that the joints and stand are a little stiff, and interchanging hands to let him hold his swords is a little hard. Other than this it is flawless! A MUST HAVE IF YOU LIKED FINAL FANTASY 12』

They are indespensable at letting you know if you are going to miss any valuable items, where secrets are to be found, what level you "should" be before attempting a boss and how to deal with specific enemies. They also act as a broad reference on any questions you might have at any specific point in the game.
It is on this second point where this specific guide fails. This guide works best if followed entirely along as you progress in the game. If you attempt to use the guide as a general reference for sticking point that you encounter as a you progress, it will leave you wanting.
The main point is there is no world map layout. This is a critical omission. If you were to go wandering around ad hoc and search on your own or do some level grinding it is very easy to become lost/disoriented. Without a world map to direct you where to go to locate your next way point, you can easily end up wandering aimlessly for far too long. This could have been rectified by indicating names of places on the game map but they are not, maybe due to the DS's screen size but nonetheless they need to be SOMEWHERE. And part of the reason someone would buy a game guide.
Along the same lines, if you were to stray from the games indicated path of progression, which is possible to a certain extent, it is easy to encounter areas, bosses, that you are entirely unprepared for. This is common obviously for an RPG but additionally where a guide comes in handy. Area summary and level info is fairly routine for a guide and this do not include it. Lastly, organization is fairly poor, from non-alphabetized beastiary, to no table of contents for the walkthrough, ie. what page is what town on?
Lastly, the overall feel of the book is cheap. Brady has been putting out top-quality guides for FF games for years and this guide really feels like a cheap afterthought. This guide really makes me think of a competitors guidebook.
In the end, the book will be a necessity for many gamers despite its flaws, it's just that it could have been so much more. For the completist who plays an RPG along with the manual, the guide will be sufficient, but less valuable for the person looking for a casual reference.』 『

Those words...Those words are all I can say. This book finally has the Toa Nuva, Takanuva, and the Toa Ignika reunite in the Swamp of Secrets. And as they enter the Codrex, they see the truth of how to awaken Mata Nui. They find threee vehicles, one stolen by a Makuta, and Lewa and Pohatu follow him on the others. Takanuva, meanwhile, has found a way to save the Shadow Matoran, and succesfully leads the newly saved Av-Matoran to Metru Nui.
As Toa Ignika sacrifices his energy to awake the Great Spirit, becoming a mask yet again, a terrible storm erupts in Karda Nui, killing anything and everything. The Toa Nuva escape with mere seconds to spare, and return to a great party in Metru Nui's Coliseum, with characters from all over the world joining in. But a dark wind blows past, the stars rearrange themselves into a constellation of despair, and a dark secret is revealed. And as the people of the Matoran universe realize what has happened, Makuta Teridax's laugh echoes all around.
But hope is not lost. As the Mask of Life hurtles through space, leaving the planet we've been on since 2001, a voice speaks up from inside it. None have heard this voice in 1,000 years but they'd immediantly know who speaks it. It says but once simple sentence: "I shall return."
It was awesome. And I can't wait for the new direction the story will be going in 2009! A neqw planet, new characters! Bara Magna, here we come!』 『
When this final battle is over, everything in the BIONICLE universe will have changed forever.
The Toa Nuva face off against the Brotherhood of Makuta in a final battle to awaken the Great Spirit Mata Nui. But when the battle is over, the Toa make a terrible discovery: Makuta has taken over Mata Nui's body and Mata Nui has disappeared. Makuta promises the Toa that they will never find him or know a minute's peace again.

(Excellent&BOTH Are Faithful to the Originals) 『Final Fantasy IV Hardtype (which this version of Final Fantasy IV is based off of) was known as one of the most difficult Final Fantasies... and this remake doesn't disappoint either! For better or worse, it's also pretty difficult! Chrono Trigger is much easier by comparison, and definitely a LOT more fun! Both versions are faithful to the originals too, which both the nostalgic gaming crowd AND younger, curious gamers like myself will appreciate. Definitely worth getting... even if you only plan to play Chrono Trigger.』
(Pleasently Suprised) 『I wasn't expecting too much coming from this FF title, mainly because I never really hear anything about it. People always rave about 6, 7, 10, etc...but you don't hear much about 4. I bought it because I wanted to own every FF game, and just figured I would think the game was okay, or "good" at best.
Turns out this game was a lot of fun. It's my favorite pre-PS1 FF game. The characters are diverse, the story is interesting, and it's just a very fun game over all.』
(PS1-Final Fantasy Chronicles (Chrono Trigger/FSIV)) 『I have not played Chrono Trigger for years. It is quite the game. The controls are easy to use. If you played it once long ago, do it again. I recommend it. Good buy too. Two games for the price of one. I have not started Final Fantasy IV yet. I will give it a go when I finish Chrono Trigger. Have fun.』
(Awesome!!!) 『Chrono Trigger is simply the best game of all time. Nothing else comes close to it in terms of fun, at least for me. Final fantasy IV is also a good game that I enjoyed playing through for the first time.』 『This old school compilation from Square includes "Final Fantasy IV" (known as "FF2" as a 1991 US SNES release which introduced the Active Time Battle system) and "Chrono Trigger" (1995's precursor to the wildly popular "Chrono Cross").Format: PSX Genre: RPG (VG) Age: 662248901015 UPC: 662248901015 Manufacturer No: 9796』 『Showcasing enhanced versions of the Super Nintendo classicsFinal Fantasy IVandChrono Trigger,Final Fantasy Chroniclesis a must-have "retro" bundle for the serious role-playing game fan.
Originally released in the U.S. in 1991 asFinal Fantasy II, the groundbreakingFinal Fantasy IVintroduced the "Active Time Battle" combat system that has since become a staple in the series. In addition to new computer animation sequences and minor gameplay enhancements, this reissue sports a new dialogue translation that is more faithful to the Japanese version and fleshes out the previously pared-down story of a conflicted knight and his quest for redemption.
Although not as well known asFinal Fantasy IV--and not even part of theFinal Fantasyseries, for that matter--1995'sChrono Triggeris a nonlinear adventure game where players must travel across time to save a princess (and the world in the process). New Japanese cartoon cutscenes from animator Akira Toriyama (creator ofDragonball Z) grace the updatedChrono Trigger, and an extras mode (filled with game-related goodies that must be unlocked) has been added, increasing the already high replay value of this title with multiple endings.
Admittedly, the games' two-dimensional graphics and simplistic sounds are quite "last generation," which may turn off some younger gamers and recent converts to the genre, but their solid gameplay, deep storyline, and memorable characters are still first-rate by today's standards.--Joe Hon
Pros:
Brings together two classic Super Nintendo role-playing games
Retranslated text ofFinal Fantasy IVmore faithful
Extras mode increasesChrono Trigger's replay value
New animated "movie" sequences
Cons:
In-game graphics and sounds are quite dated
』 『The two classic RPGs in this compilation not only represent hours upon hours of story, character, and action, they also present the background for two recent bestselling, critically hailed games:Final Fantasy IXandChrono Cross.
With all the different names for the original 1991 release of the first title in this compilation (Final Fantasy IVin Japan,Final Fantasy IIin the U.S.), role-players new to the game may get confused. Make no mistake, though:Final Fantasy Chroniclesmarks the first time this pivotal installment of the cherished game series has ever been available on the PlayStation. InFinal Fantasy IV, players take on the role of Cecil, a loyal captain who questions the orders of his king, and for it is sent to slay a mysterious beast in a nearby valley.
InChrono Trigger, Chrono must follow princess Marle's teleportation through time and locate her before an intergalactic parasite arrives to destroy the world. The original game, also on the PlayStation for the first time, was one of the first nonlinear role-playing games. The decisions that players make during the game will point them toward one of more than a dozen possible endings.
These new versions retain the authentic Japanese SNES stories and characters while updating their graphics and adding new full-motion video sequences and other features.』

Usually ships in 24 hours Core2Duoノートレビュー 's review (Far better than I was expecting) 『From a lot of the reviews I had read for this game, I was kind of nervous to attempt to play it. The complaints about the change in the leveling system alone were enough to give me second thoughts. However, I bit the bullet, and boy am I glad I did.
First, like the remake of Final Fantasy for the PSP, this game looks great. Yes, it is 2d, but there isn't anything wrong with 2d games, especially if it is well done, which this is. The members of your party are all unique looking, the enemies were nicely detailed.
I was also pleasantly surprised with the one-off leveling change. I guess, having played a couple of elder scrolls games had helped me wrap my head around the idea that the more your party members use individual weapon types or magic, the more their proficiency in each of these areas increase. Although, I have to admit that the adjustment wasn't immediate. I'm a player that usually likes to conserve spells and take as little damage as possible. In this game, however, it is essential that you take damage during battle, or else it takes forever to increase your max HP.
One of my biggest complaints about the first game was a lack of character or story development. I was quite pleased with both in FF2. Yes, there are some plot-holes, and some of the characters are a little inconsistent, or hastily thrown together, but this game was definitely a step in the right direction. And, if nothing else, this was the game that introduced Chocobos to the FF series! So, again this game is a must for anyone who is interested in seeing how the Final Fantasy series has progressed over the years.』
(Better than Final Fantasy 3) 『Pros: Good Graphics Excellent Remake of the original NES version Nice cutscenes
Con's: -"Leveling" system is not like other FF games -"Where to go" can become confusing at times. -"Random Battles" can be frustrating -No save-points. Can only save on the map or at a specific point can prove frustrating. -Abit on the boring side
Nice game to purchase at the used price. 』
(Portable 16-bit Greatness) 『I've had this game sitting around in my house for a while. It was one of the first few PSP games I picked up. I work in a pretty boring call center and although it's slow, it's not slow enough to finish the books I'm reading, so I decided to bring the ol' PSP along for a ride one day, and just picked this game up to start. I never thought I'd be finishing it, since I really don't like too many JRPG games. To my surprise, this game has held my interest long over the two days of work, and now I'm playing it at home on my day off.
The game is a classic story of evil forces invading a land to take it over (or destroy). You have four characters, all who are beaten down right at the beginning. On your adventure, you have to find your missing crew member, fight off air pirates, and soldiers. It's pretty typical of an JRPG from the SNES days, but trust me, if you're going on vacation and want something to keep your interest, this game is it. I'd write more, but that's it. It's less than [...], so just buy it.』
(A portable classic) 『It's been a while since I played FFII, but this psp remake (or port actually) really does the trick at bringing back memories.
Final Fantasy II it's a great game, but sadly, it is outdated. I don't recommend you to try this game unless you know the franchise beforehand since you could be bored easily and also RPG loving is a must before playing the game, if there something you don't like about the genre "DON'T BUY IT," this game is old school RPG.

Usually ships in 24 hours Core2Duoノートレビュー 's review (Better than expected) 『I was iffy on this game. Not a fan of the style of gameplay they chose for normal games, but they pulled it off decently. Not saying it's an amazing game, but by far better than what I had expected out of it. Worth at least renting for any Final Fantasy fan.』
(Decent but not great.) 『The game is ok. It really fails to reach anything spectacular. The only thing thats really good about the game is the storyline which is something Square Enix knows a lot about. Another part that is good is the weapon customization element and it is pretty cool addition to the game and I wished more 3rd person action games had this feature.
The game is at decent length and I think most people would find it adequate. Controls are responsive enough and are easy enough to pick up and play. The interface is a little bland and menu driven. Sound is standard. Graphics are good but the level design is linear and generic looking. The challenge is good enough but sometimes I felt like I was at a shooting gallery instead of taking on some baddies. The game is far from being bad. It just has a been there done that feel you can see in other games. Basically get this game for the story because thats what this game excels at.』
(THIS GAME WAS GREAT Forgot those low scores this is worth PLAYIN) 『I dont understand y people r so hard on some games this was a great game and story i loved knowin about Vincent i wish the had more before in the final fantasy game but this has great game play and story and LOTS of EXTRAS for the game if u like me u play the game on yur own then play it again with the startegy guide to see what all u miss and there is alot of stuff thats what is part of the game the extra missions well its 5 stars all around for me ^_^. I wish they remake the orginal FF 7 game with new grapics that would so rock =p』
(I Don't Really Know What To Say....) 『Its Like this game is hard to describe, i don't know why. I've had the game for quite a while, maybe for a few years and I'm just now going back and replaying it for the second time. I thought I go back and REALLY pay attention and TRY to enjoy myself before I grade it.
just a quick summary, the game takes place 3 years after Meteor, and shinra's deep secret has been discovered which is called "deepground". the President (not Rufus) Heidegar and Scarlet only knew of this. Soon soldiers that are from "Deepground" has suddenly attacked and abducted a LARGE amount of people. They are needed becuase they are pure and they need that purity to trick the planet into thinking that its under attack so "Omega" can awaken early then it should. At first Vincent wanted no part in trying to liberate them, but Reeve convinced him to.
Yes The game is concentrated on Vincent and the closest characters that have a connection to him such as His Father, Lucrecia, Hojo and even new characters will be introduced. Bascially youre going to find out his origin and understand him and his past alot better then you could in Final Fantasy 7. You'll see visions and flashbacks of how Vincent was expeirmented on and transformed from a handsome guy in a turk uniform to a remix of Edward Scissorhands. You'll also noticed a personality change in him. also if youre a BIG Cloud Strife fan, you will be able to see him in this game, but hes only in the animation scenes plus some posters of him in Edge. You'll get to speak to other familiar characters such as Yuffie, Tifa, Barrett, Reeve and Cid, oh yes and even a small phone conversation with Cloud nearly towards the end of the game.
The graphics are pretty smooth and nice, its bascially just like FF10.
The gameplay is neither easy or hard, its just right in my opinion. Vincent gets to use 3 guns that you can customize and do a quick-switch with the L2 button i believe. He can attach some materia magic to it.
The characters dialouge does tend to sound alittle dull and empty but its nothing to frown over.
If you play as Extra Hard (which isnt hard at all) you'll get to keep your data from the last game.
Is the game worth buying? sure.』
