『This is one nice mouse, despite it's small size. It simply works well on all surfaces I've tried and even with my large hands. I'll nitpick it for one minor design flaw. For ease of removal from its storage slot in the mouse, the USB stub needs to be stored one way only. Flip it around and the grove that makes for easy removal of the stub is on the wrong side. Bottom line, though, if I lost this little guy today, I'd immediately buy another.』

『Mouse was Dead on arrival. No help from Kensingtons website. It looks like there is a little reset button on the inside to resync it, but no way to know how to use it. the "instructions" were on a piece of about 1.5" x 2" paper and effectively communicated the fact that the scroll wheel will glow red when the batteries are running out. (and nothing else) All in all, this mouse is a complete waste of time, i should have heeded my instincts and purchased a logitech nano. I already have two for work and i am quite happy with them) rather than purchasing this one in an attempt to save a few bucks. I cannot comment on how it performs (as it didn't) but i can say that the plastics seem significantly cheaper than the microsoft mice or the Logitech mice.』

『I bought this about 4 months ago and was happy with the compact size for use with a netbook. Still the same batteries in use too.
Seems pretty sturdy and well made. But the battery compartment is TIGHT! It's a slide and snap like most of them and mine is a little hard to open.

Also, the mouse is small, so you have to be happy with that. My hands are probably average, but if you have big hands and fingers, you might find it a bit harder to use.

Truly plug and play, no software to load or fool with, but no battery meter either.

The best part is the nano receiver. So nice to not have to bump some stick protruding from the side of your netbook or laptop.

Very happy with the purchase.

『I'm very pleased with this netbook! I'll break my review into different aspects of the device, to try to keep things relatively organized.

AMAZON PACKAGING
No issues here, perfect. I ordered mine overnight, so it came via FedEx. The box was easy to open, and there was sufficient packing material inside.

APPEARANCE
Very attractive case on this. The faux carbon fiber (it's not REAL carbon fiber, wish it were) pattern is very slick looking. I will say that I've only had this one day, and there are a couple of scratches on the surface--nothing serious, and they're only visible at certain angles, but it sort of sucks, and I'd recommend getting a case for this thing, such as the Case Logic PLS-9 Ultraportable Netbook Sleeve for 7-Inch to 10-Inch Netbooks (Black). Again, too bad it's not real carbon fiber casing. :) Otherwise it would be virtually indestructible! The display is a matte backlit LED, with a native resolution of 1024x600. It's crisp and bright, and mine had no dead pixels or any other issues. Very nice screen!

ERGONOMICS
As expected, this thing is small! Not overly small like the older 8" netbooks, but small enough to stash away into a briefcase or attaché case for sure. It also doesn't weigh much, which makes it highly portable. The keyboard is a 92% full size keyboard, and I'd say it's perfect. I can type at nearly full speed without feeling cramped at all. The keyboard "gives" a bit under typing pressure (mostly in the upper left portion), whichmakes it feel a little cheap, but it's nothing to be concerned about. All the keys themselves are pretty solid. The one thing I DO not like about this netbook is opening it. It's very awkward to open the lid, because there's just a very small lip to put your finger under and lift it up. There are no other decent spots to get a good grip to open the lid, unfortunately, and that's one of the main reasons I only give this netbook four stars. The other thing that's mildly annoying is it's very back-heavy, due to the 6-cell battery, so the laptop tends to tilt backwards. Minor, but again, something that makes this a 4-star product rather than a perfect 5-star.

HARDWARE&SOFTWARE
This comes with Windows 7 Starter installed. Ignore any comments or product details that state it comes with WinXP - it doesn't. Win7 Starter runs pretty well, just what you'd expect with a netbook: not super fast, but it's not like you're tapping your foot waiting for things to load, either. To be honest, I didn't spend a lot of time in Windows before I reformatted and installed Ubuntu Netbook Remix 9.10. More on that below. The battery life in Win7 claims 9-11 hours, which is quite impressive. The wi-fi card works without a hitch, and all power-saving capabilities work quite well.

Now, onto some Ubuntu stuff...

This device isn't quite Ubuntu-ready. Or maybe I should say, Ubuntu isn't compliant with 1001P hardware just yet. With a fresh install of Ubuntu Netbook Remix 9.10, several things do not work: wi-fi, multi-touch, built-in microphone, and brightness controls. The brightness controls do work, but they are unpredictable. With some searching around, though, you can find helpful resources to guide you in the right direction to getting these things working. If anyone has specific questions on Ubuntu, post a comment and I'll do my best to reply.

One important note: if you decide to format this and put some other operating system on it, do NOT wipe out the 10GB and 17MB partitions! The 10GB partition contains the Windows 7 clone source which you can boot on and use to revert the netbook back to using Windows 7 as its operating system. So no matter how bad things get, you can always boot up that partition and reinstall Windows. If you've installed Ubuntu, there might be some extra leg-work to get that recovery partition to properly do its job (you may have to re-create those two extra partitions and make them FAT32 or something). I'm still fuzzy on going back to Windows after having Ubuntu installed.

『This review was written for the same clock but it had a United States Marine logo graphic behind it. Unbeatable Sale have seemingly removed the USMC version from amazon.com since I posted the original review.

When this clock arrived it was damaged; the second hand had fallen off inside the clock and the neon holders were broken. Now ordinarily I would exclude such shipping damage info from an amazon review, as it's not really pertinent to the actual item. But since this was for an imminent birthday I decided to fix it rather than return it and this gave me an opportunity to see the construction and clock innards for myself.

Now as an object d'art item this clock looks okay - it's big and the silver chrome plastic outer looks metallic although it's not. The two outer powered neon tubes (inside is white, outside is red) are bright and uniform and the print on the USMC logo is clear. The clock itself is standard fare for low priced clocks - a single AA battery powers it and it's the kind of small clock mechanism you could buy for $5 at any craft store. I'm sure it'll keep time for years though.

The construction however is VERY cheap - a crude wooden shim holds the power inlet from the power block and it was very poorly put together. Hot glue was holding the neon clips on which would explain their failure, and a poor soldering job held together with electrical tape juiced the two neons, with the wiring just shoved in there. The USMC was a cardboard print not even lacquered or sealed - could've been done on a $50 inkjet printer probably.

So ultimately I fixed the clock and on the surface it looks fine but for a near $100 item I was expecting considerably better craftsmanship and really can't recommend based on its price.

It's a shame as had the clock cost under $50 I would've been more than happy with it.』

『The original cord for my 900 series ASUS eee PC was both too short and too delicate. It got severed when it was pinched in my recliner, something that has happened to many power cords over the years but has never actually broken one! When I went to replace it, I saw this one priced about $20 less than the name brand, which was more than enough to make me bite.

This new cord is more sturdy, longer, and isn't such a chore to fit in the machine. The original had an "el" shaped head that was often difficult to remove and insert into the slot. This one is straight and slides right in, but doesn't feel loose, so I don't worry that it will become too loose in the slot any time soon.』

(Functional Adapter for the Eee PC 900)
『I have the Eee PC 900 series and this power adapter matches the electronic specifications of the original adapter for my laptop. As the other reviews stated, the previous power adapter began to wear and the wires were not making proper contact due to coiling the adapter's cables at least twice a day. The male plug on the adapter cable that plugs into the laptop extends out of the plug approximately 3mm and, like other reviews, has a tendency to to "unplug" itself. This is due to the plug's exterior circumference being larger than the original adapter. This is not to say that the cable falls out on its own, but if you were to move from desk to couch, expect to have to plug it back in. The adapter's brick does not have an LED on it which is fine, and does not get too hot or humm loudly like some power adapters might. Of course the cable length is sufficient though bordering on being too long. Overall, the product is a $20 dollar cheaper replacement buy that performs the same functionality as the original adapter. If you have the Eee PC and you need a replacement, grab one of these, they do just fine.』

『I bought this adapter for a EEE PC 1000HD.
I'm not sure how but I believe that the wires inside the cable broke, so I found this replacement here. It works fine because it powers and charges the PC as expected, but the plug sticks out about 2 o 3mm.
I'm not sure if this is the reason why, but the cable tends to slip out from the PC's female plug :S
I have to constantly be checking that it is plugged in and plug it back in, which is very annoying.
This is my second and last ASUS as my first ASUS had the same problem with the ac adapter, and I was very careful with this one...』
