(Love these humidifiers) 『I own five of these humidifiers. I own the Penguin, the Leopard, the Dragon, the Elephant, and the Frog. My favorite one is the penguin because his head is movable, you can turn the penguin's head in different directions to direct the moisture to different areas of a room. Of the five I own the penguin is the ONLY one you can do this with. Next, the leopard, the dragon and the elephant are nice units but you can not adjust the direction of the moisture, it is blown straight up into the air. These first four units I have described have a separate on/off switch from the moisture volume control knob. I really like this feature because you can set the moisture level and leave it when you turn the unit on or off. Which brings me to the last unit I own, the frog. The frog is like the leopard, dragon, and elephant in that the moisture is blown straight up into the air. However, the frog's moisture control is also the on/off control. I do NOT like this feature because you have to adjust the moisture level every time you turn the unit on or off. This is why the frog is my least favorite of all five of the units.』
(Not a good choice) 『The base arrived with a small crack in it. Filling the top with water and placing it on the base just caused the small crack to become a huge crack and needless to say, I had to send it back. I definitely do not recommend this product. Even if it did not arrive already cracked, it is so top-heavy that I really think it would have wound up cracked anyway due to the weight of the water pressing down on the flimsy plastic base.』

(Love this thing!) 『I love this pillow. It's so versatile and has changed my life as far as sleeping is concerned. I was using a pillow for my head, 1 for my back, 1 for my legs and one to hug. I'm only 5'4" so for me the size is perfect because it basically does it all. It's like sleeping in a cocoon. I was a stomach sleeper so this made the transition to side sleeping much easier. I also like that I can use it to recline when reading, to hold the baby on when feeding, and to sit on as a donut. Buy it, you're worth it!』
(Helps me sleep through twin pregnancy) 『This pillow is fantastic! Its shape is perfect. It helps keep your body in the best sleeping position while you are unaware how your body is lying. Before I had it my hips were hurting and lower back was much worse off. It also works so you don't lay on your arm directly and can prop up your head with pillows and stick in your arm if you need to when heartburn becomes and issue. I also like that it is 'open' on one side, it makes it easier to get out of bed when you are in later pregnancy and also gives you more positioning options. You can also twirl it up and use it as back support sitting up in bed. My only real problem with it is that my 3.5 yr old son thinks its his motorcycle and he keeps trying to steal it!!! Well worth it! 』
(Cumbersome, Not Helpful) 『My friend lent me her Snoogle for my pregnancy, swearing it was the most comfortable thing she'd ever experienced. I loved it for the first night or so, but then found myself getting repeatedly tangled up in it and unable to maintain the adjustments I needed to sleep comfortably (since the entire pillow is connected, when you move one part, the rest wants to move with it). I eventually curled it into an "O" shape and now have it against the wall behind the bed to prop myself up while I watch TV. I also found that it was stuffed too full to give my belly the under-support that it needed.
Now I'm using a belly wedge and a regular flat, rectangular body pillow, as well as a couple of other supplementary pillows where I need them. A million times better than this un-tameable monster. (Good choice) 『When I read negative comments about Baby Einstein videos and how they don't make a child "smarter," I have to laugh. My daughter knew all her colors when she was 16 months old. Yes, she could say them and identify them. That was due ENTIRELY to this video. We didn't think she was old enough to know her colors yet, so we hadn't started teaching them to her. Then, one day, she just starts pointing to objects and saying, "blue" and "red," etc. My child has watched this video dozens of times in the last 9 months or so and never tires of it. She especially likes the character of Vincent, and likes the books with him in them as well. Not only has she learned her colors, she has recognized Van Gogh artwork when we've seen it out in the "real" world. She points at it and starts babbling excitedly. How anyone can criticize this series is beyond me.』

(Great movie) 『My 7 month old son loves this video. He does not really like too many movies, but this is the one that holds his attention. He loves the animal sounds and its a movie that we can all enjoy. I bought it for my 12 month old nephew and he also likes it. Definitely a great purchase!』

But just like messing with the genetic composition of Timothy alfalfa, we don't know what the future holds with a world of Einsteinized children. If all those babies are more genius than us, could we be facing a new tyrannical political order where we become nothing more than diaper-changing slaves? Instead of working on national health care reform, all we will get from our politicians is promises of universal candy and more recess time at school.
I can't wait until they make a Baby Ted Nugent DVD -- a few rotating toys and a bit o' "Cat Scratch Fever" in the background.』

Core2Duoノートレビュー 's review (Good story.) 『I really liked the story it was well writen and very well acted. They did a good job of bring the past alive, this brothel was not a safe happy place. They start the movie with a nice plesent scene, violet is roaming around with the paino playing and every seems happy but it doesn't take long and this world to be shown in the light and the happness is empty...
To really understand this movie one must understand the time it was set in 1917, WWI had been raging for 4 years and everyone's mind set was one of shock and fear no one beleived they lived in a safe world, but go back 5 or 6 years ealery and the mind set was totaly different and ppl were livng in a fantasy world where they beleived they were safe and the world around them was a safe one. Open scene Violet is skiping happly through the brothel she lives in without a care of fear in the world and beleving her world is a safe one, her mother on the other hand was wiser and older and she knew the hell she was living in. I liked the 2 adventures these two ladies took, it made the story more beleiveable and it also made you understand why they mde the choices they made. For example at early point in the movie when Violet's mother wanted to leave and how Violet wouldn't leave, that made total since to me, there was no reason for her to leave let she thought she had everything she wanted she was living in her fanstay pre WWI world. Than when Violet's mother does leave and they begin to shater her world and the cold truth of life in a brothel is revealed to her it makes those parts even more powerful. I liked the parts where the guy was shooting the gun radomly into the air, the part where they auctioned off Violet, and also the part where Violet was in the bath and the old women came up to show her off, and finaly the part where they was thrown out into the streets, thoes were all great parts of the movie the added to show Violet what the real world is like also helped to grow her charecter so at the end when she faces the same choice she had in the begining she knows the dangers of the real world and makes the right choice, and if nothing had happened to shater her world the choice she made wouldn't have made any since.
It is a wonderful story the only problem I had with the movie is I didn't really care to have a 12 year old girl running around nude in this movie, yes because of the setting of the movie it wouldn't have made any since not to inculde them I just think they should have found an 18 year old girl that looked like brook shields for a stand in. My second problem with this movie is they were way to easy on the guy who married Violet, he hit, had sex with and threw out a naked 12 year old girl into the streets, he should have either been sent to prison for life or shot by the end of the movie, not just let off with a broken heart. Other than that I really enjoyed this movie』

Now I'm no prude, I was only 10 years old when this film came out and had wondered for years what all the fuss was about and I must say that I was a little shocked at the nudity of this small child. The film could not be made today, it would be considered child pornography. After all the fuss that was made about the film Hounddog with Dakota Fanning, Which I thought was a hauntingly sad film told in a tasteful matter I have only one thing to say : watch Pretty Baby if you want to see children exploited on film. Note to all: My baby has never liked Baby Bumblebee Motorized Madness at all...think that DVD is the one bust in the set so don't waste your money purchasing that DVD. I have played it once a month since purchasing it and my infant (now a toddler) just walks off with a look of disgust on his face to find something else to do the second it comes on. He also looks rather irked that I am giving him the opportunity to show interest in what is in his opinion, an awful show. Guess he doesn't need to see it again as his opinion hasn't budged an inch when it comes to the Motorized Madness DVD from this set. He hated it when he saw it the first time, and he's walked off to avoid wasting his time seeing it again ever since.
The rest of the Baby Bumblebee DVDs are great though. My son stands right in the center of the living room absorbing every minute of baby shows he's allowed to watch, and in return, he gets clean bottles and clean laundry now that I have a little bit of time to do those things here and there since finding this Baby Bumblebee DVD series. Every mom needs a little help or a short break here and there. Anyone who would criticize a mom for being human and chide her for using a DVD to "babysit" her child for short periods of time here and there doesn't have kids...maybe an early childhood education degree (even I took one of those easy electives in college for the easy A) and perhaps even lots of untested theories, but no kids for sure. Further, Baby Bumblebee DVDs use real time footage with real kids, so the interactions in the DVDs aren't jumping from clip to clip so fast so as to contribute towards the formation of ADD (Attention Deficit Disorder). Other lunatic (in my humble opinion after lots of research) theories about children under 3 developing problems with depth and dimension perception if allowed to watch too much TV that is 2 dimensional...well, we'd almost all have problems with this if there was any salt behind such theoristic ideas and rather poorly done studies. We haven't found another baby shows series to even come close to matching his level of interest than Baby Bumblebee. My son is not at all autistic, but he does like to learn with the combination of visual, auditory, and repeats of words and phrases that this set employs. Combination learning is highly effective in terms of long term memory tasks. We highly recommend this entire set. You should finally be able to make a phone call or pay some bills when you need a small break from entertaining baby and need something to entertain him or her. We spent a lot of money ordering the entire Baby Bumblee set, but it turned out to be a good purchase...and that's more than I can say for most of the other series we've spent an arm and a leg purchasing. Even my 2-and-a-half-year-old niece watched this series intently when she was at my house visiting. The recommended ages are 3 months to 3 years...seems to be pretty accurate.
Other recomended baby series: In the last month, my 15-month-old son has paid some attention to the Fisher Price Baby DVDs, Baby Nick Jr Curious Buddies DVDs (especially the At the Beach DVD...the others he pays little attention to), the Baby Einstein Signing DVD's (not the other Baby Einstein DVDs), a few of the First Impression DVD (he ignores most the DVDs in the set), half of the Brainy Baby DVDS (especially the numbers one in this set as it goes to 20 and that was new for him as the rest only go to 10), My Baby Can Talk (half pays attention to it at first), and he also really likes the Talking Hands DVD that is made by the same people who make the Brainy Baby DVDs (hand in a multi-colored 'I love you' sign on the cover). He ignored all cartoons and other shows until we found Baby Bumblebee. He hated and still hates Barney, Sesame Street, Clifford, Elmo, and all but 1 of the Baby Einstein DVDs (Signing one was okay) that we'd shown him before trying Baby Bumblebee. Other than these, I'm still searching for shows he might like. He's 15 months and seems to mainly like shows that show objects and name them. He must be really wanting to learn to say more words and have the names of ones he already does know reinforced by the Baby Bumblebee DVDs. People have told me how great the Baby Einstein DVDs are, but they are still not well liked by my 15 month old. For us, Baby Bumbleebee has provided months of educational and entertainment value for the amount spent. We've practically worn out the DVDs. Hope this helps some other parents trying to navigate the sea of baby shows out there to purchase. Unfortunately for us, we've got a library of different baby series at this point. I'm just like you... researching and trying to decide which baby monitor is the best. I've come to a conclusion, and I'm posting this simply with the hope that you might not have to spend 5 hours of your life doing what I just did. In other words, hours ago I wish I could have read someone's "Summary of User Reviews". So, if it helps, great. If it doesn't, sorry... just trying to help.
After reading dozens and dozens of reviews at various websites (including Amazon) I've decided that this Lorex baby monitor (model Lw2002 in either white or black; thus model Lw2002W or Lw2002B) is the best monitor out there for several reasons. However, as we'll see, it's not perfect. First, the good news.
PROS: 1. Very clear daylight picture. 2. Clear sound. 3. Infrared "Night" vision or dark mode that is quite clear. 4. Motion and/or sound detection triggering an audible alarm/beep/video image at the monitor. 5. Security of signal frequency hopping digital transmission. (So the neighbor's baby monitor can't see or hear your baby.) 6. Because of the signal's digital frequency hopping (1000 times per second) the device is very unlikely to interfere with, or suffer from interference from, your wireless router, cordless phones, microwave oven, etc. 7. Support for up to 4 cameras; all can be viewed on the same handheld monitor. 8. Auto-switching mode, for switching between multiple cameras (if you have more than one) every few seconds. 9. Remotely controllable (from the handheld monitor) night-light. 10. Ability to output video to a TV or video recorder. (e.g. set it up as a picture-in-picture while you're watching your favorite TV program.) 11. Ease of setup. (Simply plug it into your house power outlet - or charge and use the batteries - and you're done.) 12. Reasonably low price.
Now the bad news. Although the majority of users find the product usable, and many find it ideal, the following areas are the 4 most consistently repeated of the complaints voiced by users in the countless reviews I've read. If you can live with these few product deficiencies, then this very well may be the best baby monitor for you too.
CONS: 1. Automute: By far, the number one complaint that people have is that they cannot set the sound to stay on all the time. The monitor will silence itself (mute sound and turn off the screen) if there isn't any "significant" audio or motion coming from the baby's room after a certain period of time (e.g. 10 seconds) but will of course turn on again if there is a "significant" sound or motion such as a baby talking, crying or moving. Again, this feature can't be disabled. However, to the manufacturer's credit this sensitivity is adjustable, and apparently, the device will still flash red lights (from one to several - depending on the intensity of the sound) as sounds are detected, even when the monitor is muted.
The device designer's idea, as stated by them, is to allow the parents to sleep without the white noise "hiss" that would exist with constant reproduction of a "quiet" room's sound. But many people find the sensitivity adjustment to be insufficient and wish that they could set the monitor to relay sound or picture ALL the time. (At the very least sound.) In fact, many feel that the suddenness of the device turning on and relaying sounds is more alarming than the constant "hiss" and/or noise of the child would be. As a result, these people find this muting "feature" to be disturbing and would clearly prefer to hear every sound and rely on their own brain to detect abnormalities in the child's environment or breathing, etc.
For some, they work around this by using another traditional sound only baby monitor to listen to the child, then, if they hear something unusual, they grab the Lorex monitor and turn it on to see what the child is up to. Not so elegant, but it works.
It's worth noting that this issue, which many consider to be a key design flaw, would be an extremely easy fix for Lorex to implement; simply add a "sound always on" and "video always on" setting to the setup screen. Hey Lorex, how about a firmware update!?
2. Beeping Upon Button Use: The handheld monitor beeps "loudly" every time you press any button when using it. This annoys a number of people because it wakes their sleeping spouse next to them during the night when they are using the baby monitor to check on the child. This could be easily fixed by Lorex by implementing a mute, or volume setting in the monitor's setup screen. Hey Lorex, how about a firmware update!?
3. Bad Button Placement: The relative ease with which certain buttons (e.g. specifically the power on/off button) can be inadvertently pressed. Some people complain that the buttons are just placed poorly, and shouldn't be put where they're easily and accidently pressed when picking up the device.
4. Battery Life: Although both the camera, and the handheld monitor come with plug-in AC power adapters, many people feel that the device (particularly the handheld monitor) is short on battery life. They feel that the 2.5 to 3 hours of run time (approximately) is insufficient. Personally, I feel it's on par with such a power hungry video wireless device. Of course this isn't as easy of a fix as the first two issues (which would only require a firmware update), but of course this too could be remedied by the addition of a larger more powerful lithium ion rechargeable battery.
(It should be noted that the use of batteries in the camera, particularly during the dark when the camera's infrared lights will automatically turn on, is also very short. But for some reason, people intuitively seem to understand that the camera needs to be plugged in, and so they don't complain about this. Not so for the handheld monitor; instead, people think the battery in the handheld monitor should last as long as the other handheld device they use daily... specifically, their cell phone's battery... and who knows, maybe they're right.)
Conclusion: Ok, now I'm placing my order. I'll try to post a useful update if I find anything noteworthy to add. 』
(More troubles) 『I bought the Lorex LW2002W after doing a lot of research. Read many reviews. I thought I could tolerate all the minuses the other reviewers listed... I couldn't! All those design flows turned out to be major inconveniences/annoyances, making this otherwise technologically sound product unusable. I used it for a month, couldn't stand it anymore. Had to return.
Pros: Digital "spread" signal : no interference with wireless internet, no security problems.
CONS: -Signal is not strong enough for a basic 3 bedroom apartment on one floor in wooden house. The signal indicator is a gimmick: goes from full strength to low or no signal in a moment. -On-Off button: Horrible placement - no matter how careful I handled the receiver it shuts off. And when you turn it back on again it emits loud beeps (even if you previously mute the volume) The result is at night you end up waking up everybody. ( Also imagine: you hear the baby's noise, grab the receiver to see what's going on, and this thing just shuts off!) -Receiver's connection to the charging cradle is designed very poorly. You have to put down the receiver very carefully - otherwise it is not charging. And after a couple of weeks the wire contacts in the base got bent, so there was no charging at all. Those hair-wire contacts are very fragile. - The camera stand design is very bad. No matter how you twist it it is next to impossible to aim the camera at the proper angle. Also attaching the camera is a major hassle: The base is too thick to use any clips. Screwing it to the wall does not give good aiming in my case. Tried to attach it to a small piece of plywood... C'mon, this is nonsense for $150 hi tech product. -Both chargers have very short cords. This is a major problem for camera: Extension cord is too heavy and pulls the camera off-angle. -Battery saving mode is very poorly designed and cannot be override: The unit turns on when detecting movement, but then turns off again no matter if there is more "action". -when using the camera with AA batteries: the battery life is very poor and there is no warning of "low battery power". Also cannot be used in low light while battery powered. -Some smaller issues: -The light-on button is poorly placed-will accidently switch on-off all the time. -The receiver's center of gravity is too high, so one has to be very careful when standing the unit down - it flips very easily. -The color is a joke- the picture is mostly the same as black-and-white.
So the bottom line : the Cons make this unit a pain-in-the-neck. I returned it and am getting ZOpid instead.-They seemed to just put in a new firmware, which takes care of most negative reviews issues. Hope it will be better.』
(One of the best you can buy, but not perfect....) 『After spending hundreds of dollars on various different baby video montitors and systems, I eventually landed on the Lorex. Right out of the box, it was very easy to set up and was much more solid in terms of build quality compared to the other plastic toy-like monitors out there that are horrible. I had it working in about 3 minutes after quickly glancing at the instructions (I also purchased a 2nd monitor system to go with).
It works great, however is not perfect. I was impressed in that it's quiet and you really do not get any interference and I have not noticed any issues with losing internet connection, which I had on previous models. I've come to the realization that no company out there knows how to build a quality baby monitor without having it's issues.... this still remains my #1 ranking, however.....
- Battery life is horrible and you will need to keep it int he cradle often. Just taking it downstairs to have dinner with my wife, I wondered if the battery would run out and don't believe they give you an option to put in AA's either - this should be improved in a future model for sure.
- Navigation of the handheld unit is a bit weird and not the most user friendly, though it's not that complicated. It's annoying that every time you press a button to activate a camera or do anything the unit beeps with every press you make.... this is especially stupid considering I could not lie in bed next to my wife and check on the babies without waking her up with all the beeps of the unit - this is pretty stupid and my biggest issue with the product I think. Why on earth would they not give you the option to make it completely silent if you want to???
Night vision works great, decent sound quality (not the best), and does what it's supposed to do without frequency sounds, and buzzing, etc. I do recommend the unit, however realize none of these little things are perfect including this one.』

Pros: -above all, the night vision is perfect. It's like you're looking at the baby in broad daylight (except it's in B&W) -the day vision is great too -the screen size is great, not too big, not too small -the monitor/receiver is a great size and weight. You can clip it on your belt or stand it up on a flat surface -the camera is nice- you can adjust it in many different directions, put batteries in it or even mount it. It seems like it would be unstable, but it stays up very well. -the night light feature doesn't seem like much, but when it's pitch dark in a room, it lights up quite a bit -it's nice that it turns the sound off so there's no "white noise hum" especially since we keep a white noise machine in his room -if you turn the volume all of the way down, you still have the meter on the top that lights up if there's noise
Cons: -the controls are anything but intuitive, but once you figure it out, it's ok -there is no battery meter telling you how much battery is left- annoying -the monitor makes this loud beep when you turn it on- also annoying and you have to make sure you're well out of earshot of the little one before you turn it on -if you leave the monitor on, it only lasts about 3 hours which I guess is ok
You can also hook it up to your TV, but we haven't done that yet. We really like this monitor overall. It's great to watch and listen to your baby and easy to carry around the house- not much bigger than a portable phone. We love it so much we're buying one for my best friend for her baby.』

Pros: Great picture! My previous monitor was a Summer Day&Night and it doesn't even come close the quality of the Lorex. Crystal clear audio.
Cons: Scary looking camera has a red ring of lights and looks like a spooky eye. My daughter has been used to the Summer camera (has only one green light on it) for her whole 2 1/2 years of life. As soon as we hooked up the Lorex, she started waking up screaming two times a night. After 3 nights we finally put it together and figured out it was the camera scaring her. Terrible battery life. I left mine on and in the charging cradle all night long. Then I used it for about an hour or two off the charger downstairs until my daughter woke up. No problems there. I returned it to the cradle upstairs when she woke up to let it charge for her nap. By naptime, the handheld says it's fully charged, but it dies midway through her nap (it lasts about 2 1/2 hours). So then I had to go upstairs, unplug the charger, plug it in downstairs and let it charge until she woke up. Then I had to lug the whole setup upstairs when I went to bed. Very frustrating!
I'd also like to note that I called Lorex about this issue today. They said the estimated handheld battery time is 20 minutes to 4 hours. Very helpful, huh? They walked me through my settings to make sure I was in "power saving" mode, which I was. They recommended I buy a $30 portable battery charger, which would hook up to the handheld unit and charge it portably. But then I'd have to make sure that was charged, too! Sounds like too much hassle.
I was deciding between this camera and the Summer Best View. I would have preferred a much more extensive set of Special Featurees however. Surely with this cast there could have been literally hours of out-takes and special features but instead we're provided only 3 "featurettes" and one 15 minute gag reel. In addition, the Commentary with Rob, Charlie and Glen that is listed on the cover of Disc 1 and 2 is nowhere to be found. What's up with that?

It kept my son's attention because of the animals in the video. The thing I really didn't like or care for is certain letters used are always different. For example the word "tiger" would be spelled like this but the thing that I would think is confusing (for a small child) is they would use the letter g in that form then another g like an old typewriter. I can't post one up but its like a circle with a little half bent circle then another circle. Does anyone know what I'm talking about? Same thing with the letter a. It is used in this form "a" then as a circle with a little line next to it. As adults, we know they are different letters, but what bothers me is why they wouldn't just be consistent with a letter.
Anyway, my son seems to never even look at the tv when the words are supposed to be read on the tv screen. Once they say the word, he repeats it and he knows exactly what everything is. But the whole point of this video is so the children see the words and recognize them and learn to read them. I use the flash cards and my son is only interested in looking at the back of the cards where the picture is. I try to show him "elephant" and he just tries to get the card from me or for me to turn it around. As soon as he sees the picture of the elephant, he will say, elephant. He is very good at looking at pictures and saying whatever it is, that was the whole reason why I bought the dvd's so he can learn to READ them. It just never keeps his attention though.
I think it is better for small babies. My son just turned 3. It says it's for babies from 3 months to 5 years of age. He was 2 when I purchased it but I guess I will have to come up with something else to help him read. I figure it's not going to hurt him if he doesn't know how to read yet. None of us knew how to read when we were that age. We learned it at school and sounding out words and knowing the sounds they make. But it's good that they know a lot and are ahead of the crowd. It just takes time and consistency. So, in my opinion, it probably would benefit a really small baby instead of a toddler.』

It was only weeks before she was reading the flash cards from the 1st DVD! (Good idea-boring and long product.) 『I'm a teacher and I know how to teach children to read, but I had a curiosity about how this product teaches infants to read. I had heard criticism because it teaches memorization only and not phonics. However, part of reading is memorization. What bugs me is the videos almost seem like hypnotic rather than teaching. The words flash on the screen so fast during the songs and I think its a good concept but needs a lot of supplementing to work well. When teaching 5 and 6 yr olds to read teachers use sight words, just like the words they use in the video. But we use them in games, on bulletin boards, not flashing for a few seconds on a screen.
If you sit down and get your baby to watch these they may or may not learn to recognize the words. However, paired with alphabet games, phonics songs, one-on-one interaction that deals with letters and phonic sounds and lots of reading...then this would work. Basically its a good teaching tool, not a whole teaching system. If you use it as just one of many tools to educate your child then I believe you'd have a strong reader by kindergarten. If you sit your child in front of the dvds two times a day without making this exciting, it probably won't work and they could even grow to hate written words.
I don't think forcing your child to watch this twice a day will do any good. When my daughter grows bored with it I turn it off and do another activity and we come back to it later when she's in the mood. That being said I think these DVDs are way too long for their intended audience.
Don't waste your money and buy this system used or at a discount if you plan on using it.』

A doctor recommended I try Alli rather than an appetite supressant (I had requested an FDA approved prescription rather than risk ill effects of over the counter or those found online with possible origins in Asia) that speeds heart/raises BP. The good thing about Alli is that doubling the standard dose is the equivalent of the $400 drug, Xenical. Same results. Same medication.
However, I generally eat quite healthy -- never eat fried foods, or rich fatty foods, no pastries or desserts. However, I do intake too many calories of carbs and as of the holidays, sugary calories as well. I explained this to my doctor.
After the holidays, I've resumed my typical diet of non-fat sources of food, lean meats, fiberous veggies and for treats, fruit and Kashi bars. However at night, when I want a snack, I eat too many calories for my final meal. One of my favorite treats is Jello pudding made with nonfat milk after dinner.
Combined with being mostly sedentary on the job, I've gained 15 lbs since October. Upon researching this product, it only works for those who consume more fat than I currently intake.
In fact, if I followed their ([...]) 1200 calorie diet (online) I would have to modify, albiet worsen, my diet where the caloric breakdown of their site 1200cal menu would leave me with over 9% of my calories coming from fat (where I strive to stay below 6 currently) and carb intake of 50% of my calories, protein would be 18% of my calories and sugar intake would be significantly over what I normally allow for myself. My calories are roughly 30 Fat-30 carb-40 protein currently.
Xenical doesn't work unless you intake "fat-based calories." I guess what I need is an appetite suppressant...despite what the doctor suggested.』

(Best book I read to prepare for labor) 『I was very nervous about labor, most especially about interventions (epidurals, pitocin, c-sections, etc.). The Birth Partner had up-to-date, relatively detailed information that allowed me to feel more prepared for labor. I appreciated the matter-of-fact, even tone. Even though it is clear Simkin advocates for the most natural labor possible, she doesn't use scare tactics or overblown statistics to try to convince the reader that there's only one true way to have a baby.
If you happen to need intervention (like me), it's great going in with a reasonable understanding of what's going to happen and what the risks are (and aren't!). I went to 42 weeks with my baby and had an induction with cytotec and pitocin. I was very nervous about the induction and tried many of the natural remedies suggested in The Birth Partner (though not castor oil). They didn't work, which told me my body really wasn't ready for labor. The pitocin did work, though (as it should) and many of the strategies I read about in The Birth Partner were helpful for me coping with the labor pains.
I would highly recommend this book to anyone having a book or assisting in a birth. I've lent it out a couple of times to friends and they've all had good things to say as well.』

(Good one) 『I bought this product after going through all the reviews. The product does what it says...I have seen considerable reduction in the white dust accumulation in the room and well as mineral deposits on the operating surface of the humidifier. I have used it only for 1 month now...and the filter is still working...
Cons:- Only problem i found was that the filter doesnt fit the humidifier perfectly. [To the first time users - this filter replaces the existing cap of the humidifier tank]. I own the Crane Penguin humidifier and the tank sits on the base perfectly with the original cap. But with the filter (even after securing it tightly to the tank) the tank doesn't sit perfectly on to its base...it remains a bit raised (due to the imperfection of the filter) and causes the water vapors to leak thru the sides...not a big deal though. And I am not sure whether it's a problem with the particular piece i bought.』
(doesn't fit Penguin model correctly) 『I live in the desert and bought the filter to help with the hard water. However, when I use the filter and put the water tank on the base, it no longer sits flush. It comes up just a little bit, so steam comes out the back, and it's sort of close to the on/off switch. It didn't seem like a good idea to allow that to continue, so I will be returning the filter for a refund.』
(Crane humidifier filter - not worth it) 『We have hard water in our house, so I thought this filter would help, but, in fact, it made things worse... every time we added water to the humidifier, we noticed that the plastic was orange and slimy.
