Meet Lukie D. One of several somewhat overlooked and forgotten singers who fit into a pack of not outstanding, but not bad singers (I didn't want to sum him up completely as MEDIOCRE) in dancehall. He, along with singers such as Tony Curtis, Nitty Kutchie (who interestingly enough released an album named Jah Deliver Me just last year) and Singing Melody have for years made up that pack. They are all very very good singers, have had hits of varying sizes and record consistently but seem to lack the extra. . . something which sets peers of theres such as Wayne Wonder and Sanchez apart from that pack.

Lukie D would be much more successful as an American r&b singer. His style of vocal's is much more gospel and less roots oriented sounding, which is the type of big vocals which are more popular there. But, playing with the card dealt him, he has released Deliver Me, his 6th (with #5, Shelter Me, being released just 2 weeks before) and definitely most interesting set to date. Lukie's been very busy, releasing 4 albums in the last 2 years.

What's most interesting about this set, Deliver Me, is that it was recorded for Frenchie at Maximum Sounds in the UK. The young producer is working on establishing a big name for himself, and first he releases an Anthony B album, loads a Jah Mason album, does a big riddim and releases a Lukie D album. The Lukie D album doesn't seem to fit in there too well, however, as somewhat lukewarm fan of Lukie D, Deliver Me is easily his most accessible and complete long player to date.

Lukie, not surprisingly because of the label, comes armed with 3 big combinations on Deliver Me. The best of which being the best tune on the album, Back a Me Yard, the nice nice nice repatriation vibe with Junior Kelly. Why Junior Kelly? I have no idea but with Kelly playing the dj role completely, blending with Lukie D's toned down vocals, Back a Me Yard is a great great and emotional song.

The other combinations also comprise some of the best material here. Be Wise with Anthony B is a big tune might even have a bigger vibe to it than Back a Me Yard and is definitely more bouncy and the first 2 artists to release for Maximum Sound do a very very fine combination on the tune. The 3rd is a with the Warlord Bounty Killer, Kill Another Sound. Again, very very big vibe and I love those type of songs, paricularly in combination form, very effective tune.

Also check the gospel sound of the title track, which somewhat shows Lukie D at his best and worse, it doesn't really distinguish itself on the album, particularly with it being the title track, but its still a very nice song. Also love Hear Me Out over the Dis Ya Time riddim, big song; and Stand Firm, Lukie's effort of the World Jam (also known as the Jamrock) riddim redone for Frenchie.

And lastly, check the opening track. Which is simply the professional singer singing a well done version of the Jamaican National Anthem, and of course is one of the best songs on the entire album.

Overall, I don't know if I can blindly recommend this one to just about anyone. However, be you a fan caught up in the Wayne Wonder vibe you should give this one try, or if you have heard a song from the artist and are looking for an album. Definitely pick up Deliver Me in either situation, Deliver Me is without a doubt the biggest album of Lukie D's career.

I have previously reviewed this product. I think the previous review was sent direct to the seller. I have yet to hear from them, so I will do again for Amazon. The package arrived on time, but unfortunately most of the candies were broken. Now if you want a lollipop....you want it in one piece, not loose candy!

Therefore I will not purchase from this buyer again.

The order was not packaged as shown. The product was ordered with the intended use as party favors for my child's first birthday. The pops were thrown together in a ziplock bag and shipped in a box with no packaging material. Only 1/4 of the order was usable due to breakage. Steer clear of this item unless you wish to be disappointed.

Funky idea to link up to a custom wallpaper to match the skin. Skin protects the back, top and bottom of the front. I'd recommend a screen protector for the screen, and a clear case if you are worried about the sides of the phone that remain exposed.

Years ago, I became fascinated by a plant in the buttercup family called "Wolfbane." I had watched an old werewolf movie in black and white and wanted to know more of the folklore surrounding that plant. Unfortunately, searching through all my herb manuals produced no good effect (other than to alert me to the poisons affiliated with this purple flowering plant-helper). I felt as though the folklore had been lost forever.

Then I found this book, "A Witch's Guide To Ghosts and the Supernatural," by Gerina Dunwich, and I've felt thankful ever since because it addressed the mystery surrounding Wolfbane and its connection to werewolves.

This book shares fascinating stories about all sorts of beasts and haunting characters. For example, I found it interesting to realize that one can become a werewolf VOLUNTARILY (not just by being raped-or bitten by a fang-wielding nut-job, or otherwise having the sins of your fathers contaminate your family gene pool)!

According to Gerina Dunwich, to become a werewolf, intentionally, you merely need to do one of the following:

* Eat meat killed by a wolf (such as that of a lesser wolf or sheep)
* Drink from a water source where werewolves have first imbibed
* Eat a werewolf's brain (proving this is a dog-eat-dog sort of world)
* Ritualistically eat human flesh (I'd personally remind readers to be warned, however. Notorious cannibals like serial killers Albert Fish, Andrei Chikatilo, Edward Gein and perhaps Jeffrey Dahmer all earned a death sentence and as far as the records show - they never had a chance to shape-shift!)

Or, if you're vegetarian, you might find the following option to "turn yourself into a werewolf" more palatable (also presented in this book):

* WEARING OR SMELLING THE WOLFBANE PLANT!

In addition to turning you into a werewolf, folklore insists Wolfbane can also cure you. Sort of like a bad drug that can send you on a scary hallucinogenic trip - and then, being the hair of the dog that bit you, bring you back down from that super human adventure.

Wolfbane supposedly cures WEREWOLFdom when it is consumed PRIOR to the first full moon, after first being bitten/turned. Once you have actually shape-shifted into that ravenous beast, however (e.g. w/the moon's pregnant cycle) the plant remedy proves ineffective. {Dang it.}

Once you make your first werewolf kill, you are forever cursed or blessed (depending on how you look at it) to roam the earth feeling very powerful until some sick perverts from an animal testing lab capture you to perform weird DNA probing into your hairy frame. {These are my thoughts, not Dunwich's}.

P.S. Wolfbane is also known as aconite, monkshood, wolfsbane, leopard's bane, women's bane, Devil's helmet and blue rocket. I hope you research it!
I must say that this is probably the best work by Ms Dunwich out on the market. I've always been fascinated with the "paranomal" since early childhood, so I was excited when I was finally able to get this book.

Inside, Dunwich tells sometimes frightening, chilling stories about her own encounters with spirits, the differences between a ghost and a spirit, definitions and folklore. Also included are different methods of conjuring, banishing and communicating with the dead. She mentions the Ouija board as a method of communication, but I do not recommend that to anyone.

Overall, it is a fantastic book and I'm going to take it with me on all of my ghost-hunting trips :)
In this book Gerina Dunwich teaches alot on the spiritual realm, from many different views, the book includes spells and rituals, spiritualism, necromancy and much more. She keeps you in touch with the basic knowledge of the craft as well as adds to your intellect of ghost and spirits.

She has a very connecting writing style, and you feel as though you are having a conversation with her, rather than reading a book.

I would reccomend this book for any witch, it is full of essential knowledge that will only help one in their quest for the truth.
I dont want to go into detail but it has great information on necromancy, the rituals are the real thing, has haunting herbal information, eyewitness accounts, and many cultural out looks on different views on ghost etc. Information about how to protect from evil spirits, come in contact, as well as many saftey guidelines that wont need you to run and get an exorcism. THIS IS TRULEY A GREAT BOOK FOR THE PAGAN READER or ANYONE WHO WOULD LIKE TO LEARN ABOUT GHOSTS AND GHOST MAGICKS!
REALLY REALLY GOOD!!
You are in for a hauntingly good read! Author Gerina Dunwich has recorded her own stories, sometimes terrifying experiences into a subject that is usually propagated as bad or horrifying. Before you call in the exorcist, be sure to read this book.

She begins her book with Phantasms and Ectoplasms, Understanding Ghosts and and Spirits. In this chapter she explains the difference with Ghost vs. Spirit, Poltergeist Phenomena, Cold Spots and Spirit Portals, To Dream About a Ghost, Communicating with Spirits Through Dreams, Evil-Natured Ghosts, How to rid yourself of an Unwanted Spirit, Samhain: Night of the Dead, The Feasts of the Hungry Ghosts, The Ghost Dance, Crisis Apparitions and Doppelgangers, How to Properly Conduct a Ghost Hunt, and an Interview with a Spiritual Medium. All this is packed in the first chapter!

Moving into the next chapters, True Tales of Ghosts and Hauntings. The author leaves you riveted as she goes back in time from one story into another that she has experienced. Moving on to Spiritualism, The Necromantic Arts, Possession, Obsession, and Exorcism, Spells and Sorcery, Herbs Associated with Ghosts, winding down with Ghostly Superstitions and Creatures of the Night. Ending with Deities of Death and the Underworld.

With this wonder tool you will learn communication with the dead, the dangers associated with it, how to do a proper witch hunts, the secrets of necromancy and divination by the dead and explore spiritualism from Victorian age to the present. You will delve into the supernatural with vampires, werewolves, shapeshifters and other creatures. Go into the secret world of both witch and non-witches for protections of darkly creatures of the mists.

Gerina Dunwich has done her homework and brought us an easy to read, fascinating book in Ghosts and the Supernatural. Not only is it a knowledgeable read, it is also very entertaining.

I enjoy other titles by Sirona Knight, but in my opinion this title and the Witch and Wizard Spell Book belong on the same shelf as Wizardology. However, I think these books would be good to introduce children to real magick. For adults, this is a poor choice. Not recommended.
I ordered this book but after reading it, I gave it to my sister for she is the one in our family who seems more WIccan then the rest. I read it cover to cover, and I could honestly say that this is a a-z topic book for anyone interested in Wicca, though she writes with a comical standpoint.
Yuck! That was my gut reaction by the time I hit chapter 4. I could not finish it. Wishy washy putrid ground out cookie cutter same old stuff Wicca. Nothing new. And the kids spend their money on this garbage? Well fools and their monies are soon parted. Go see Harry Potter, it'll do you as much good. Sirona should be publicly flogged for putting out this tripe. I gave my copy of this to a Santero hoping to make him go blind.
I was so glad I bought this book. I am already into the fae and have read Sirona Knight's book FAERY MAGICK, so I tried this book. It is magickal! There are all kinds of things you can do right away after thumbing through the pages. I liked that, and there are sections on divination and shapeshifting which are totally cool! It's snap and a totally awesome book on magic, Harry Potter style, but real not fiction.
I am not new to spellcrafting, but I was feeling the need to give my practice a little boost. I headed to the bookstore and waited for a book to come to me. This one sort of dropped into my hands and didn't want to leave. I was sort of mortified by the Harry Potter references and put off by the cheesy cover art. But since I had"asked"for the right book to come to me, I took it home even though I would not have chosen it myself. Surprise! This is a great little handbook. It is simplified, but as someone already familiar with many magical techniques, I found the brevity refreshing. The techniques and perspective are solid and sound, but the BEST thing about this little book is that the spells can mostly be done using handy, everyday materials. Its a great little reference tool, compact but covering a wide range of magical subjects. Im glad I didn't judge this book by its cover.
