A very cute idea for the rich/famous. I must have been off my rocker to pay $38 for this item. You need 2 to cover an average window.
We bought this valance to go with the Cotton Tale Pirate Cove bedding. Our window is a little larger so we had to order an extra valance. The bedding is adorable and the valance helps polish off the room. Looks way better than in the pictures!

I've been waiting for this CD for years and it's finally here. Where else can you find a collection of Kalmar and Ruby songs? If you love the movie, you'll love the soundtrack. As with all Rhino soundtracks, both the audio, art work, and liner notes quality is great. Buy it before all 2500 copies are taken...
there are so many great songs sung by beautiful women-Gale robbins singing I love you so much, Arleen doll on All alone Monday, but the best is the enchanting unforgettable Thinking of you, sung by Vera Ellen, the best dancing lady ever on the screen. Sad we cant see Miss Ellen dance to the song but the wonderful scene will live in your memory. A very nice record,Also Miss Debby Reynolds does a very nice imitation of Hellen Kane on I wanna be loved by yo.

(Does it work? Yes, oddly enough it does!)

I am a dyed-in-the-wool Mellencamp fan and I have been since "American Fool" came out. Fans like me could either love projects like this, or absolutely hate them and view them like a desecration. The attitude taken torwards the project has a lot to do with it and this album has taken a respectful attitude torwards Mellencamp's work.

The songs have been adapted for String Quartet but have not been radically altered - you can sing right along with them if you'd like. Most have been thoughtfully chosen - for example, if it featured a strong fiddle component, such as "Paper in Fire" than it was worked in to the album.

"Peaceful World" is achingly beautiful in this adaptation. "Small Town" has a more melancholy tone than the original song, but it is not at all inapproriate. It is also quite beautiful and it is respectful reinterpretation of this anthem to small town life.

The only duds in the group are "Hurts So Good" and "Jack and Diane." Unlike the other songs which seem to have been carefully chosen for their string quarted friendliness, these had to have been chosen because they are two Mellencamp standards - you cannot have a collection of his work without them. Heck, the first song I cued up was "Jack and Diane". It just did not translate well.

So, final grade: A-. Most are strong, two are tremendous, two are weak.

If you are a true Mellencamp fan (a Mellenhead, if you will) this one is one to pick up.

(A great way to keep your kids entertained on car trips)

(Daddy a Go Go is back on track!)

Any parent who regularly carts their kids around in the family minivan or SUV knows that keeping your offspring occupied prevents WWIII from breaking out in your vehicle. To that end, I'm always on the lookout for music that caters to kids without numbing the mind of anyone over 10. That's why I was so excited to find the excellent music of Daddy a Go Go. I find myself listening to his music even without my kids in the car. And that's a high compliment from someone who spent much of her youth in clubs and concert halls taking in live music and at the listening stations in records stores soaking up the latest releases. After the disappointment of *Big Rock Rooster*, the third Daddy a Go Go album, I was hesitant to buy *Mojo a Go Go* when it was released. I was finally able to find a library copy to borrow, and was very happy to discover that Daddy a Go Go's fourth album is more on par with their first two releases (*Cool Songs for Cool Kids* and *Monkey in the Middle*, which my husband, 23 month-old son, and I love).

What other children's musicians mix surf guitar, Yiddish, and clever lyirics? Besides Ralph's World, not many! Memorable tracks on the CD include the Ramones-esqe "I Don't Wanna Go to School Today"; the Yiddish-smattered "Of Mice and Mensch"; covers of "Linus and Lucy" and "Snoopy vs. the Red Baron"; the pun-filled "Don't Blame the Weatherman"; and the rollicking "The Git Down Towns."

The only song we don't care for is the cheesey tweenish track, "Radio Dizzy" (which seems to have recycled the melody from the instrumental "Radio Wah Wah" on *Big Rock Rooster*). However, it's sure to appeal to older kids, with its references to tween pop culture.

Daddy a Go Go's surf guitar sound has an undertone of southern rock to it, so if you're not a fan of southern rock (as I am not), you may not care for John Boydston's brand of children's music. However, this CD has enough surf rock, creative and amusing lyrics, and cool instrumentals to make most parents and kids happy.

If you're interested in other children's musicians who rock, try Ralph's World (our favorite is the 2nd album, *At the Bottom of the Sea*); Brady Rymer (especially *I Found It!*); Yosi (*Under a Big Bright Yellow Umbrella*); They Might Be Giants (*No!* and *Here Come the ABCs*); and Elizabeth Mitchell (*You Are My Flower* and *You Are My Sunshine*, for a retro Sun Studios sound).
Certain music-critic cliches bear repeating, and in the case of Daddy a Go-Go, the one about audible fun--the idea that you can actually hear how much a band is enjoying making its music--applies. A lot. This is retro-throwback-goofball-jangly guitar rock reduced to its rowdy good-time elements, and there is not a single track (assuming you are not too tethered to respectability to blaze down the road blaring kiddie music) you won't love. Standouts onMojo,the fourth in a line of consistently groove-worthy A Go-Go records, include the Radio Disney spoof "Radio Dizzy" (sample lyric: "We'll change our names to Avril Lasagna/Or Broccoli Spears if you'll play our songs, yeah") and leadoff track "I Don't Wanna Go to School Today," a Ramones-inspired hoot-and-howler that proves that while Papa may have a brand new bag, Daddy is off-the-charts hip, too.-Tammy La Gorce

(Works for some pcmcia cards, but not the one I wanted)

The duel adapter is great at first for P2 cards, but it quickly breaks. There is no physical damage that I can see but it routinely stops working. I bought 3 of these (and was very gentle with each) before I gave up on them. I've spoken with several other videographers in New York and they all say the same thing. One told me she always buys them in two's for back up. I've recently noticed some competing brands on the market and I am going to try them out next because I'm sick of the dual adapter.
I've been using it for months with my 16GB Panasonic P2 card and Macbook Pro. Never a glitch. You have to remember to disconnect the Duel from the laptop only when you're done. If you try to reconnect without rebooting the computer, it won't mount (and on a Mac you might get the spinning beach ball of death). However, you CAN remove the P2 card from the Duel (leaving the Duel attached to the computer) and then re-insert the P2 card later (perhaps after shooting more footage) and the card will mount. There is no solid "click" connection between my Macbook Pro slot and Duel, which is a minor annoyance, but I don't know if that's Apple's fault or Duel's.
I bought this so I could use my buffalo high power wireless g wifi pcmcia card with my Dell 1505 laptop which has only an express card slot. No luck, no matter what drivers, installation steps, or configuration settings I try, the wireless will not connect. When the adapter is installed and the wireless card inserted into the adapter, the wireless appears to be recognized by windows XP but never is able to detect any wireless signals.

So for me, this adapter is a $100+ paperweight.

I bought this case for my 10 inch Acer netbook. It was a little tight from the beginning but after several zips and unzips accessing the netbook it fits okay.
I personally loved the case, though I have a smaller computer, 9" instead of ten, the case fit's fine and works perfect. It's a little thinner than I thought it would be, but the memory foam really cradles the PC. It's perfect for me.
I bought this case and am veyr unhappy with it.
My Asus EeePC 1000H BARELY fits in it. I feel it is just such a tight squeeze. I dont understand why they could'nt make this base about 1/2 - 1 inch bigger so the netbook COMFORTABLY fits inside. Then this would have been a wonderful prodcut

I ordered these particular plastic cards because in my opinion, they are much cooler than the paisley ones that are also offered. I immediately ordered them, yet when my package arrived yesterday (in a timely manner, I will give them that) I opened to find the ugly paisley cards looking me in the face. But now that it is here I find that it is a great OBDII Code Reader and a cool automotive performance meter as well. It's like two products in one! As an OBDII Code Reader, it satisfies all my needs. This little gadget has helped both hubby and several of our friends un-needed trips to the dealership or a mechanic to hook up to a diagnostic machine! Worth the money several times over!!!!
If you have an older vehicle and you even use this once, you've gotten your money's worth. I have used this scanner on both of my vehicles and have saved a lot of money from not needing autoshop diagnostic testing because this unit has been quite accurate in pinpointing problems which I have repaired myself. The excellent spouse asserts that he used this product a dozen different times on various makes and models of cars. After a few weeks, the lights on the read-out screen dimmed and the cord exhibited a faulty connection. Attempts to jiggle the cord and restart would work for a few minutes, and then the unit would shut down. After a few such efforts, it failed to restart at all.

He's having trouble getting hold of the manufacturer Finding this scanner to be of very poor construction, he's extremely disappointed.

I am a trustee on a board for a small non profit organization and we needed a professional looking sign in book for our black tie event and this was it. The spaces are large enough and it looks very nice.
This was purchased for our small church and we are pleased with the book itself, as well as the cost. I was disappointed that it took so long to arrive and took 3 attempts at delivery. We are in Hawaii, so perhaps should have paid the extra postage for speedier service from Ohio. I would recommend Fedex or UPS over DHL delivery service.

Easy to use, very practical stuff. Gets right to the heart of the matter. I am a professional and use the Code Check books often.
I bought three books at the same time, recieved two within seven days of the order. The third has yet to come. Contacted the vendor and he stated that it must be lost in the mail and offered to re-ship or re-fund, I wanted to re-ship because I needed this book for my work. Waited a couple of weeks and sent an e-mail asking when the book had been re-shipped, got and e-mail back but didn't state the date it was shipped but said if I didn't recieve it in three days they would give me a refund. Well have not gotten the book after 40 days. Not sure if I will get a refund like they state but if you are looking for a quick and no hasel transaction don't look here.

This is a great resource for firefighters. I went through the fire academy and spent the past few years using IFSTA Essentials to study with. I found the Firefighter's Handbook to be much more entertaining and enlightening. The chapters read alot easier and seem to be written for firefighters rather than students. It's loaded with more fire service history and many more tips and tricks of the trade than essentials. Highly recommend it.
This book has to be, hands down best book to get if you want to know all about Firefighter I.
I found this book very useful. This is an excellent introduction in fire fighting and rescue. In my country (The Czech Republic) some drills, standard operation procedures and organization matters are different, but this publication is still very useful and inspiriting.
DO NOT buy this book if you are in Pennsylvania! The Commonwealth has created their own edition that is similar, but different than this. You will be frustrated in class trying to follow along with this version.

I love the colors and the style. The only problem that I had with the shoes is that they were a little tight across the top of my feet. Other than that, I love them!!!
These boots are adorable! They get the job done and were much cheaper on Amazon than on any other site! I recommend them.
These are cute, but they do run small. If you are a half size, be sure to get the size up. Also people with high arches may have discomfort with these because the foot is tight.
These boots cost me 1/2 the price of what they were advertised for at a local department store over Thanksgiving. They do run a little small, so you should probably size up if you plan to wear regular socks with them. And your feet don't sweat either! Easily removed, cute, a real show stopper!

This program has mostly files written in 1989, on a CD-R copy disc produced by a cut-rate publisher. They do not support the product, unless you pay PER THE MINUTE over the phone. In short this product is not worth it, even as cheap as it is.

It's too bad a review of 0 stars is not possible. 1 star, even a half star, is too good a rating for this product. Steer clear of Symantec. I repeat, steer clear of Symantec. As long as people continue to use their garbage products, they will continue to produce garbage for their beta testers, oops sorry, I mean customers. I'd been a Norton user since '98, but I have officially thrown in the towel after too many problems with SystemWorks 2005. To many bugs, install and system resource issues, and headaches in general. Customer support and technical support is non-existent, unless you pay out the ying yang for it. They can be talked into waving the support fee one time only. No matter though. When you call the technical support line or customer support line, you will likely get an agent with a bad attitude, is not knowledgeable of the product, and is barely fluent in English. A bad combination. So, on balance, it's a waste of time. Online support is a joke. The support website search functions are mediocre at best. GOOD LUCK EVEN FINDING A RELEVANT SOLUTION. Email support? Don't attempt it unless you enjoy having your intelligence insulted. I do miss WinDoctor, but oh well, life goes on. I currently use BitDefender Antivirus. I'm still looking for a good set of disk and file utilities to replace the SystemWorks suite. Currently, I am looking at a lengthy session of cleanup for what I will call a dead installation. Really dead. I can't run the apps or repair the installation from the CD. Error pertaining to not having access permissions. Ditto launching the program from the start menu. Symantec related Windows XP services will not start. Can't repair installation from add/remove programs--indicates program has been removed, would I like to remove the listing from add/remove programs. All files and folders present on the hard drive. All this after much ado getting this installation to work in the first place. So, I will have to manually remove Symantec files from the hard drive and manually remove all registry entries, hoping that I have no further serious problems caused by all this hacking. I will have a restore point and the registry backed up. Adios, Au revoir, Auf Wiedersehen, Ciao, Sayonara, Hasta la vista Symantec.
Don't buy software you pay good money for only to have it disabled! If I had known this was going to be disabled prematurely, I would have never had bought it.

After getting an error message that the subscription was invalid, I call support and was told the software subscription was up despite the fact that I still 4+ months left on the subscription renewal.

All I asked for for was the entire year subscription I purchased 11/7/2005 and am able to use the product (System Works 2004) until that time. I think that's reasonable, legitimate and legal as there was no agreement that I would have purchased another product to have the registration time applied to the product.

While the software I bought was SystemWorks, I don't think the draconian software policy would differ across products.

Now the product is disabled and EVERY service is disabled as well. That means, no virus scan, no disk doctor--nothing.
I purchased this product, having using earlier versions and been completely satisfied. I presntly use Norton Systemworks 2003 and have discarded their 2005 version. Their programs are no longer integrated and each program, in multiple parts, needs to contact Symantec (parent org) with statistical info or what ever it is that your computer is revealing to them? I downloaded a trial version of 2006 Systemworks, think it's nothing more than 2005 with a few more added bugs? Norton Systemworks 2003 was the Symantec's last actual attempt at upgrading their product, save your money and invest in, much cheaper too, I may add, that version.
I purchased Systemworks 2005 with some hesitation after reading the reviews. However, I have Systemworks 2003 Professional on my Dell 8200 desktop and 2004 on my Dell 4600 desktop, both work great with never a problem. I bought 2005 for my Inspiron 8600 laptop. Installation was quite easy with no problems. I was not running a previous version of Norton. It certainly is a system hog but that is to be expected for what you are getting. I have been using it now for about a week and no problems at all.
I've had home computers since the Timex Sinclair in 1982. The only time I've been forced to reformat my hard drive was a couple years ago after install problems with System Works 2002. I bought 2005 from buy.com because it was $64 with $64 rebates for upgrading. Free but not worth it.

I installed 2005 over 2005 that came installed on a new desktop. The pre-installed version had a virus update subscription that was to expire 12/5/05. After installing from the CD and registering I could not update my virus definitions as my "subscription" had expired instead of being extended 12 months as it should have been.

Now after a few attempts at uninstalling and re-installing, using the advice and programs from Symantec's web site the program is installed but won't run. At times it has seemed to keep unrelated programs from running.

If you do try to install this software be sure to have the backups and recovery points ready.

For around 30 bucks, cost plus shipping, I would have expected more. These pants are very thin material (i.e. not warm) and not as roomy as one would expect them to be. The plaid is groovy though. Go to Kohl's or Sports Authority for a better quality product for less cost.
Comfy casual 100% cotton flannel, exposed elastic waist, unisex cut and false fly. Many other patterns available and wide choice of sizes. Flannel pants are available in youth and adult sizes
