The only thing negative to say about this towel is that I thought I would be getting more than one. It appears as four in the picture and you do not get a choice of color. I would have preferred blue.
That said, these towels are oversized for kitchen towels-about the size of a bathroom hand towel. They are also thick and absorbent. The price was good for the item, just should not be pictured/shown as four and your only get one.
Over sized Kitchen Towels are 100% Cotton, fully reversible. 20"x30". So big you'll love them. The picture is a representation of the colors that we have. These are sold assorted.

Do you like Jazz saxophonists that have a message to convey? I mean the kind of saxophonist who plays from the heart and touches your soul (not just your auditory sense). There are so many good Jazz saxophonists out their now. but Ray Silkman has helped me understand why some of them 'hit home' more effectively than others; its what I call 'rendered from soul to soul'?

If you 'feel' Gerald Albright - Kirk Whalum - Grover Washington more than you do Kenny G - Boney James - Richard Elliot, then Ray Silkman's Sound Check is definitely for you.

If you still do not get my message, try the free Amazon download of 'So Saxual' from this album. This track tells you what Silkman has to offer in this wonderful album. I often wonder when Silkman will come up with a follow up album but it will take years of hard work to match such a brilliant start.
I can't get enough of Ray and the sax. Beautiful sound and feel from this man. Can't wait when and if the next great album comes out. Romantic and smooth and full of feeling! LOVE IT!
After an extensive search for this CD I finally found it here on Amazon.com. Before purchasing this CD I use to hear one of the songs played on the radio. The song "So Saxual" was only played once a week at midnight on a local station. I fell in love with that song so I had to have it. Loving the song meant purchasing the CD. Purchasing the CD gave me the opportunity to hear more songs from this artist. For the smooth jazz collectors this CD is a must have. It contains a mixture of slow and upbeat tempo music. The song "So Saxual" should be labeled for lovers only..if you get my drift. However the entire CD is pleasing to the ear.

Since obtaining this CD I have become a fan and follower of the artist. If Ray Silkman comes to your area definitely check him out because he gives a great show. Plus you would hear his music come to life.
A friend of mine downloaded some of Ray Silkman's tracks from Amazon and I decided to buy his latest CD "Sound Check" f/ Amazon; boy I should have bought it sooner, it was at the time of ordering very few left maybe one in stock. But I got it now and I'm listening to it now as I write this review; if you buy this its well worth the purchase and a lot more. Plus it has a bonus track which is a live concert video clip which I found to be most amazing in concert!!!!!! Wish I could give it more than just 5 stars . BUY IT BUY IT BUY IT NOW !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I discovered Ray Silkman while browsing for some new jazz cd's on Amazon. I stumbled across the"free download"link and decided to see what was on there. While"surfing"some of the MP3 samples, I came across a name that I had never heard before....RAY SILKMAN!!! Not only did the name intrigue me but I was starving for some new jazz artists to experience so I clicked on Ray's downloads.

I was in complete awe of his saxaphone talent! Right then and there, I decided to purchase his cd,"Sound Check"! I have listened to and have seen many jazz saxophonists in concert which include such greats as Kirk Whalum, Dave Koz, Boney James, Warren Hill, Najee, Steve Cole, Paul Taylor, Marion Meadows and more. I can compare Ray Silkman to these fabulous artists without hesitation! His jazz style and smooth sax sound is absolutely hypnotic!!!

As I sit here and listen to his song"Islandskin", I can only hope that Ray Silkman can soon provide his fans with another cd VERY soon to quench our thirsty jazz soles!!

I bought this model to use for checking moisture in the lumber in a solar kiln I just built. I've had it for almost 6 months and it works great, and is easy to use. The way that this is built means it will take some serious abuse and still keep on working. I would suggest this one to everybody, and would buy it again.
The Timber Check Moisture Meter allows you to take moisture readings in any species of wood with a moisture content of 6 to 25 percent. Durable fixed component circuitry virtually eliminates the possibility of false readings and never needs to be recalibrated. All components, including probing pins, are securely held in place with screws and are non corrosive. Measures 6 3/4" long and comes complete with an extra set of probing pins, one 9 volt battery, a wood species moisture chart and instructions.

Training quality employees has always been a challenge as shown in this collection of two films made 50 years apart. The first film is The Troubles of a Merchant and How to Stop Them (1917). This silent film demonstrates the troubles a shopkeeper in the teens has due to trying to keep track of everything on pencil and paper. The film shows thetroubles the storekeeper has on a day to day basis and how these problems cause loss of profits. It then shows how a National Cash Register solves all the merchant's problems and brings him back to profitibilty. This 33 minute films is a fascinating look at early cash register machines and their positiveeffects on stores. The second film is The Front Line (1965). This color production runs for 15 minutes and shows how grocery checkout clerks were trained. A new checkout clerk is trained by three expert clerks in all the ins and outs of working with customers efficiently and with a smile on her face. The film is a goodexample of 60s culture and styles and is an interesting portrayal of how markets operated before the advent of barcodes and computerization and shows that the clerks really had to be educated in their jobs back then as there was no computer to rely on as there is today.

This device has been quite reliable and consistent. You do have to follow the instructions carefully to get an accurate reading.
I borrowed this from a friend after being diagnosed with high blood pressure. The readings are consistently inconsistent and ranged from normal to high. Thankfully, I got to try this out before I purchased, because it would have been a waste of money. When monitoring BP, you need to know where things are at, not that just that you have a blood pressure!
We have purchased 4 units to be used by friends and family, and they are great.
To get accurate results this one is a pain to use. If you don't follow the instructions to the letter, you will get tremendously different results.

I bought this pocket scanner before buying a used car. Amazon had it at the right price. It gave me some clues where to look for a starting problem and saved me lots of $$$ and time. Both the scanner and car are running fine.

Susan Orlean, notable to most as a writer for The New Yorker, became the literary "It" girl in 2003 with the help of the movie "Adaptation" (the movie based on her book The Orchid Thief). In an attempt to capitalize on that book, "Bullfighter..." was released.

The book takes some of Orlean's favorite and most popular articles and complies them into what appears to be a theme about remmarkable people. Orlean speaks candidly in the begining of her book about always wanting to be a writer and ironicly this introduction proves to be some of the best writing in the book. The rest of the books tends to be pretty much hit and miss. A fasinating story about a taxi driver who is in reality an African king somehow ends up being not so fasinating. Another story about a 10 year old is down right boring. My favorite ended up being about a store owner in New York that only sells buttons.

This is not to say that Orlean is a bad writer, she's not: however she writes with a sometimes akward detachment that made it hard for me to enjoy these "personal" articles.
Look at the cover of this book and you'll see who and what it's really about. It's all about SO; her subject matter is irrelevant both to her and, consequently, to the reader. Worse, even her style, which seems to sucker in a lot of poeple, is not exactly her own. If you want to read what she's read, and cribbed from, track down a copy of Mr. Personality, by Mark Singer, also a New Yorker writer but a far finer one. Really, I don't see how SO can pass MS in the NYer's hallways and not hide her head in shame. Singer is by far the more human writer. He reserves his style for his short Talk of the Town pieces, drifting it to the side for his longer, more important pices. Unlike SO, he knows when to take it down a notch in order to add some real heart and feeling to his writing. SO's stuff, from one story to the next, is stylistically the same beginning to end. Half.com often has copies of Singer's book. When you find it, be sure to check out what's on the cover; it ain't a picture of Singer.
Like her predecessor Joan Didion, Susan Orlean writes of the wide range of human experience--from a traveling gospel group in the South to a budding basketball star--and in doing so presents a portrait of America that is both comprehensive and engaging. What's even better is that she does it without ever being sentimental.

While I liked all of the essays in this volume, my favorites were ones that showed lives of the"average"American, like Heather Heaton, a young journalist covering the events of a small town, and, of course,"The American Male, age 10."Ms. Orlean has a way of following her subjects around&illuminating their lives, without ever getting in the way. Truly professional work, and I only have to say: give us more!
For anyone who enjoys reading profile pieces in major national magazines, you will love Orlean's superb writing! Her choices of interview subjects are far and varied, from the American Man, Aged 10 to the Female Bullfighter, hence the title of the book.
You will be delighted and most of all, impressed by her deft writing and wonderfully descriptive passages. You will not be disappointed!
When I had finished"The Bullfighter checks her Make-up", it had occured to me that many of the rich and famous are quite dull when you take away the riches and fame. You don't believe me? Read an issue of Vanity Fair. In every issue, there will always be some hot star featured that month. This person may sizzle on celluloid, sound great on CD, etc. but is boring as heck or so self absorbed that you go running to a preening, navel gazing 14 year old for some company. None of Ms. Orlean's subjects are in this category. Whether it's a buff Boxer(the dog) named Biff or the Ghanian King who drives a cab; these people are unique.
In fact Ms. Orleans seems to find the unique in the ordinary. Her first subject is the"American Man"aged 10. Somehow, when reading about this fellow you are paying attention. His interests seem to be no different than other boys at that time. Yet you read and want to finish this. And to think her bosses wanted her do a profile of the then 10 year old Macauley Culkin! Good thing she got her way.
Many of these vignettes, in fact, would not be what a typical editor would request from a writer. In the sport of Women's Tennis, for instance, she doesn't profile the prominent Williams sisters but the lesser known Maleev sisters. In the dog show world, there isn't a profile of the prize poodle, but a contender in the Working Dog Category. The choices are unexpected and always a treat.
I would recommend this book to most everyone. Even a subject in which I had no initial curiosity such as Best Working Dog caught my eye. As for the Bullfighter...she's there as well. Happy reading!

I bought an earlier edition of this book in 1999 and have gotten a lot of use from it. I initially used it for calorie counting (I lost the 35 pounds I needed to lose and have kept it off), and when I turned vegetarian I was able to look up protein amounts to make sure I was getting adequate nutrition.

The lists break down foods by the amounts of Calories, Fat Calories, Protein, Fat, Cholesterol, Sodium and Fiber in each serving. An item such as an apple will get multiple listings: 1cup, slices: canned, sweetened, sliced. drained, unheated; 1cup, slices: raw, with skin; 1 cup, slices: raw, without skin, cooked, boiled, and two other listings for apples because the nutrients vary according to the way the things are prepared.

Sometimes the amounts are hard to figure (Tofu, 1 piece, 13 g) and I have to do a little arithmetic or consult an online source for an easier way to measure the food. Overall, though, I've found it to be fairly comprehensive (the newer edition may be more so), and the counts jibe with other sources.

For foods that don't already have nutrition labels on packaging -- fresh vegetables, fruits, grains, legumes, and so on -- this guide is handy to have around the kitchen, saving trips to the computer to find out how calorific some food might be. (If I were a complete health nut I'd also be watching my sodium and fat intake, but being mostly vegan, that's probably unnecessary.)

Most people don't seem to have the anal determination to calorie count, or the curiosity to find out if their nutritive requirements are being met, but if you are concerned or curious about your health in regard to the foods you eat, this is a helpful guide for the basics.

An ideal book of this type would also list minerals and vitamins per food item. I have to check other sources to make sure I'm getting enough calcium and iron, for instance. But I still use this book almost daily to check calorie amounts.

This book integrates the Lean tools (i.e., 5S, takt time, standard work, continuous flow, etc.) with the quality improvement tools (i.e., fishbone, pareto, 5 Why, Failure Analysis, etc.)like no other book has done to date. This book is for the front-line worker who needs to understand some simple problem solving tools to help Lean out their processes. The book does a very good job in defining each tool, as well as providing a case study example. Excellent reference and case study in my opinion.
The Simply Lean Pocket Guide is just what we needed in introducing Lean to our new employees. The Guide teaches the basic problem solving tools with a Lean twist. Employees found this book very helpful. Many of our Lean teams also use this book as we are finding out, the basic premise of Lean is to simply problem solve.
I found this pocket guide (and the case study) very informative. A great balance of teaching the quality improvement tools with a lean twist. A must buy!

I found this book to be packed full of great, simple explanations of how the quality improvement tools and Lean tools compliment one another. The case study tied everything together and provided an excellent source for discussion throughout our training session. We plan on using these, as well as the other Lean pocket guides, as our sole training materials. The Simply Lean book is a great value!

This product advertises that it will print cheques that are acceptable in Canada. This is not true. Canada has changed it's format 2 years ago and this product has not changed it's format. If you are using Canadian banks, do not use this product.
This product is worthless, that's why I would have rated it "no stars" if that were available.

Despite this product's impressive-sounding name, it is useless unless you have one of the printers on its "acceptable" list. I have an Epson C-62 and a HP Deskjet 540. The product does not have a source for downloading drivers that will allow either of these two printers to function with this product.
This software is compatable for QB, but only up to 2000. It can still be used as a stand alone product, if you get the printer to set at the right 600 DPI

(Nice chips)

Very nice 14 gram chips... especially for the 53 dollars after shipping. Nice and heavy... The only qualm I have on them is that the design is actually a sticker put on each chip which is hard to see in the photo. Again its not like i paid so much as to expect something else, but I thought it would be worth mentioning (I'm sure many other chips like this are the same). My only other bad thing to say is the case... in each row its perfectly square instead of the round bottom you usually find so that the chips don't "fall in". Otherwise very satisfied customer and couldn't ask for a nicer chip.

Also the thing comes with 5 red dice and two decks of cards which werent on the description as far as i saw.

(Not all it's cracked up to be, but still has a purpose...)

Okay, admittedly, I had caught the golf bug BIG time when I started 5 years ago. You can read my review first, then I'll try (without self-indulgence) to qualify myself a bit afterwards. After all, you'll only respect opinions from people you respect. And you really don't know me.

This product was really hyped a couple years back, with people like Tom Lehman and David Duval (give 'em a break) using it and even endorsing it. Sharper Image sells it, too. I had to get it.

I "line" all my balls anyways with the "Line 'Em Up" ball marking tool (plastic) sold at most major golf shops for about $6-7, and use a red Sharpie marker. Works great. I've pretty much ALWAYS lined my balls ON THE SEAM. I'll "seam" ProV1's when teeing them up (not really sure it makes a performance difference) and prefer putting on the seam, it's the ONLY continuously FLAT roll on a ball. Makes sense to me. Only the Callaway HX Tour's do NOT have a seam, virtually every other ball does.

First, I found that this Check-Go was kinda unstable. I mean, the balls can easily wobble on it. And it goes through batteries pretty quick. I find that it takes a while, like 90-120 seconds to get the ball spinning AT MAXIMUM speed. So, if you're planning on trueing a new box of ProV1's, figure 45 minutes plus.

Marking the balls WHILE spinning is kinda a disaster. You cannot draw CLEAR, DISTINCT lines without upsetting the 'balance' of the ball while spinning. So, I'd prefer to LIGHTLY mark the ball and use the "Line 'Em Up" tool to finish. A lot of work, I know.

Now, consistency is the issue. Will it ALWAYS go to the SAME EQUATOR when trueing the SAME BALL? My answer is almost every single time NO. So, IMHO, it isn't really 'trueing' the balance. It is FINDING AN equator, but there can be many. Maybe only one in about 25 balls (brand/model doesn't matter)will return to a near-to-exact equator when re-testing. I'm serious.

So, it doesn't work? Actually, it kinda does still. I found some of my (then new released) Maxfli M3 red dot's were VERY, VERY unbalanced. Some boxes had like 5 balls WAY unbalanced. Like, when they were spinning, you could DEFINITELY tell they were EGG shaped. And for $40/doz balls, that's a big no-no. I've never found such evident QC issues with other makes (like ProV1's, Nike Tour Accuracy TW's, Callaway HX Tours, etc).

So, for seeing if the ball is balanced, it works like a charm. To find a "sweet-spot" I'm not convinced. I STILL think putting on the seam is more conducive to "pure" roll than anything else I've ever found. And to my eye, it is less distracting than having a logo go through the middle of my line (on the ball) while at address.

I'm not saying it doesn't work. I have no way to prove that. But, I am saying it is incosistent, which to me personally means it doesn't do what it claims to do. I want it to find the same equator each time, then I'd be convinced- easily.

I never saw straighter drives or more yardage, or more distance control by using this. If I told you my full wedge goes 117 yards, I wasn't hitting 120 by lining up wedge approach shots. In fact, I am NO LONGER using it. I just use my Line 'Em Up to mark my balls again, on the seam. (used one for sale, cheap! maybe).

Me? I've played to a 7.5 handicap at its lowest, took my P.A.T. after playing for only 2.5 years and scored a 86-76 to miss by 5 strokes. Last tourney I played was at Spyglass Hill where I shot an 81 my first time on the course (from the Whites), including pars on the 7 toughest holes. I am always able to notice details in performance. A few weeks back I was at a local shop/range and was asked if I wanted to try a new Taylor Driver. I held it for about 4 seconds and said, "It looks like a shortened shaft." Sales person said, no it's standard length. I took out TWO others from the rack, sure enough, it was a half inch shorter. I worked as a Tech Rep for Rollerblade back in the day. My point? If anybody might notice a difference in performance, I'm that kinda guy. Maybe I'm not PGA tour (I'm not even close), but I recognize nuances. And since basically the first months I started playing, I've always averaged 31 putts per round or under.

I can't say this will help your game. If you're still interested, get it anyways. I spent $30 on it two years ago. At $22, what's the worst that can happen? You spend useless money to try to improve your golf game? Welcome to the world of golf, my friend.

If you still want my advice, get a putter that fits your motion the best. And that doesn't mean a Cameron or Bertinardi. I've always used mallets (I use the centerlined NOT center shafted Rossa Fontana that was recently discontinued).
