『We bought two of these safes for our 4 and 6 year old sons. They are great for little guys who want to have their own "secret place". I saw some reviews that the lock and the safe itself weren't too sturdy - but it IS A TOY, not a real safe for goodness sakes! It works perfectly for the intended purpose. I do wish we could turn off (or down) the alarm...』

『I got this for my nephew (and the pink one for my neice) for Christmas. They are both 5-years-old. My older children also have this safe - they are 15 and 12 now, but got this when they were 5-7. My children still use their safes to store items. As others have said, the knob can be a bit hard to turn. Pushing the door shut seems to help. The alarm can be irritating, but I think we disconnected it on my son's. Overall I like it for kids.』

(A Durable Heirloom Doll Your Kid Can Play With)
『Over 30 years ago I got two Little Huggums dolls. Now my daughter, and sometimes my son, play with them A LOT. They are extremely durable dolls that last, literally, a lifetime or maybe two lifetimes.

What works about this doll? I love their smallish size. They are 12 inches tall which is a more manageable size than the 18 inch American Doll baby dolls. Little Huggums have soft bodies, so they really are huggable. They are easy to dress and undress because they have soft bodies. I bought extra clothes for my/my daughter's two Huggums from the Magic Cabin catalog. Sometimes I find 12 inch doll clothes at Target. The extra clothes enhance the fun of playing with these dolls. Huggums are soft but they can sit up on their own and participate in tea parties. Finally, these are really cute looking dolls.

They are an indoor toy because I would not recommend washing them in the washing machine. The squeeker in their bottoms will not work as well after washing. I spot clean them.

I highly recommend Little Huggums over any other doll, and I've played with many!!!』

『I got this doll for my granddaughter's second birthday and it was the perfect gift! My granddaughter loved it the instant she opened the box. She enjoys feeding it with one of those "magic" bottles and she cuddles with it while watching TV. She also loves to push it around in her doll stroller. I think the soft body is very inviting to a small child and the face on this doll is so precious you can't help but love it. I just wish Madame Alexander made doll clothes for this doll, but we found some 12" doll dresses from the Corolle doll company that work just fine, so I can't complain. Bottom line: if you're looking for a great first doll for your toddler, this is it!』

『Preface: Professional industrial machinery engineer. Cars are simple compared to what I work on all day. So maybe I'm not a "shadetree mechanic". I have no brand loyalty, nor am I getting a kickback of any sort for this review. I just needed a good scan tool, NOW. I wish this one had been available 10 years ago. My son is a professional, ASE certified auto mechanic, and this is better than his, by his own admission.
1) 9V battery not included (only needed if not connected to vehicle).
2)Worked flawlessly out of the box. Didn't read the manual and figured it out in about 5 minutes flat. Intuitive menus. Clear, plain english fault description.
3) You'll read on the internet that the computer software that comes with it is junk. I'm running Vista 32 Home Premium and the software installed and worked flawlessly. Not a single "work around" or problem. However, I'm also a computer geek, so what I regard as normal might drive somebody else nuts. You have to "install" your scan tool in the software for it to know what to update/ look at. Took 12 minutes to flash the tool to the latest software version. Another 10 to update the scan tool computer software suite.
4)Used it to diagnose a 1999 Neon prior to purchase. Check engine light on. Tool said "cylinder #3 misfire". Checked plugs and wires. Found all spark plugs loose, particularly #3. Tightened. Car runs great. Cleared codes in ECM. No new faults. Dealer mechanic and salesman looked at me like I was a wizard. Because I did this and gave the mechanical and electrical system a thorough inspection (and found several minor problems), they knocked $700 off their price. (Tool paid for itself 5 times over in the first day). Even the GM dealer (Neon being a Chrysler product)Didn't have a scantool like this that would read multiple MFG (generic) OBD-II codes. Plugged it into my 2000 and 2003 Corolla's; and my 2009 GMC Van. Communicated flawlessly. Note: It's a little slow, but thorough. Gent at Advance Auto says this one is better than the one they use. In other words, this is a moderately priced, powerful, upgradeable, nearly "obsolete proof" Scanner, better than some "professional" auto technicians use. Note: WILL NOT READ PRE-1996 OBD-I OR ANY MANUFACTURER SPECIFIC CODES. NOR WILL IT READ "BODY" OR "ABS" OR OTHER NON-ENGINE/ EMISSIONS CODES. But I promise you, on anything newer and for basic diagnosis, "check engine" light problems it's all you'll need. I would recommend it to friends, enemies, and my own mother if she needed one.』

(Very easy to use)
『Can't really compare to others in terms of use and price, I'm no expert in the field. After seeing all of the other options on this that I don't use, I probably could have gotten something much more basic for less money. I have no regrets though, I've used this on at least 5 different cars (mine and friends) to read error codes. It's very easy to use for that, plug it in, put key in, hit a couple of buttons, read the code(s). Then google the code to find out what it means and if it's an easy self-fix or something you need to bring it in for. In just a couple months I've saved way more than the cost just in reading the codes, and most of the problems have been fairly easy to fix myself, saving me more money.』

『I am pleased with the unit. It was simple to connect to my vehicle and showed me the error code. Unfortunately the unit did not have a description for the code listed. I also could not find the code in my Hanes book. I was able to find the code listed on-line and fixed the issue. It was nice to be able to then delete the code and then run a check for pending codes like what will be done at our vehicle inspection site. It remains to be seen whether the vehicle will pass inspection.

I like the long cord and the mode whereby one can diagnose while the engine is running.』

『This worked great to shut off my engine light on my 1999 Mitsubishi Galant ES 4-cyl. Light still came on later but was able to tell I had a bad O2 sensor and it even told me which one, the same as my Chilton book says. I mainly got this so that I could do other things with other cars. What sold me on this one over the other version was "Fully updateable via the Internet, so it will work with future vehicle models." I intend to use this on other vehicles instead of paying a shop to "diagnose" the system and tell me what needs to be done. Plus I don't always trust auto places because they could say a part is bad like an O2 sensor when the light could just go on as a reminder to check it then clear the code. The only down side, which is at no fault of the AutoScanner, is that not all the functions work on my car. Your car has to be built with the capability and sensors.』

『Very fast and very accurate. I first used it on some nice filet mignons and they came out an absolutely perfect medium rare. Yes, it's a little pricey, but if you're cooking an expensive cut of meat it's a must have.』
『Originally designed for professional users, the Super-Fast Thermapen is chosen by restaurant chains, health inspectors, quality managers and chefs all over the world. The clever pocket design replaces more costly and bulky handheld thermometers while using the same professional thermocouple technology. The Super-Fast Thermapen displays actual internal food or liquid temperatures in only 3 or 4 seconds. Other thermometers make you wait another 20 seconds or more to catch up to the Thermapen. Thats a huge difference in a fast paced commercial kitchen or when youre over a hot grill. If youre cooking an expensive cut of meat you want a perfect outcome. You dont want a slow temperature reading that might be misinterpreted and your meat overcooked.The reduced-diameter needle tip of the Super-Fast model only requires about 1/8 immersion so you can take the temperature of even thin burger patties. It's almost as if the recording sessions for Cortner's 2006 album Fast Track had continued and produced a second disc. Most of the players are the same, reassembled for sessions in October 2007, May 2008, and January 2009. The 11 tracks offer an assortment of jazz standards and new compositions, all with fresh Cortner arrangements that make them all sound brand new.
Trumpet hero Marvin Stamm solos on every tune, giving him a chance to show off his stylistic range from soft ("Sometime Ago") to swinging (Cole Porter's "It's Alright With Me") to funky blues (Herbie Hancock's "Cantaloupe Island"). Check out the juice he pours into his solo in "Caravan."

(A Pleasant Surprise, Especially Dunaway)
『This was surprisingly entertaining and with a few minor exceptions, very inoffensive family fare. It's another one of those adults-and-kids-can-both-enjoy flicks with a number of lines that border on being too much for kids but are still tame for adults - close, but safe. There are also some funny special effects and some good slapstick humor.

Being basically a kids' film, the main child, played by Eric Lloyd is cute but a little too spoiled for me but he's tolerable, as is his brother. Jason Alexander is the father, a very likable subdued guy but a little too lenient.

The real surprise in this cast is Faye Dunaway. Usually playing hard-edged types, she is the opposite in here which is kind of refreshing to see. She shows a nice comedic touch. The chimpanzee is probably the most entertaining, which is the idea, but so is the villain played by Rupert Evert. In other words, there are a lot of likable characters in this movie.

This a "sleeper:" an underrated film that a lot of people would enjoy. I'm sorry it never got much "press."』

Less foul and more fun than Clyde from the Clint Eastwood comedies, Dunston is the practical-joking orangutan partner of foppish jewel thief Rupert Everett. Making his escape in a five-star New York hotel, Dunston lands in the protective care of 10-year-old Eric Lloyd, the high-spirited son of harried hotel manager Jason Alexander, and together they turn the snooty social event of the year into a zoo. (A Pleasant Surprise, Especially Dunaway)
『This was surprisingly entertaining and with a few minor exceptions, very inoffensive family fare. It's another one of those adults-and-kids-can-both-enjoy flicks with a number of lines that border on being too much for kids but are still tame for adults - close, but safe. There are also some funny special effects and some good slapstick humor.

Being basically a kids' film, the main child, played by Eric Lloyd is cute but a little too spoiled for me but he's tolerable, as is his brother. Jason Alexander is the father, a very likable subdued guy but a little too lenient.

The real surprise in this cast is Faye Dunaway. Usually playing hard-edged types, she is the opposite in here which is kind of refreshing to see. She shows a nice comedic touch. The chimpanzee is probably the most entertaining, which is the idea, but so is the villain played by Rupert Evert. In other words, there are a lot of likable characters in this movie.

This a "sleeper:" an underrated film that a lot of people would enjoy. I'm sorry it never got much "press."』

『This disc contains two of Jeff Foxworthy's performances, each about 30 minutes long. Thirty minutes is a bit short for a standup routine, but including a pair of them does make the DVD worthwhile, even if it feels like slightly less than a full show. Foxworthy jokes about single life, married life, his firstborn, and of course, includes some 'you might be a redneck' jokes. His recollections of being single and broke are particularly amusing. All of the material is solid, and there are no slow spots to speak of. The subject matter of the two shows overlap a bit, which makes them feel a tiny bit redundant when watched back-to-back, but the jokes are unique. This DVD doesn't represent the best that Foxworthy has to offer, but he has an excellent rapport with his audience and delivers smoothly and with superb timing. This should be considered good viewing for most comedy fans.』

『Accu-Chek Softclix Lancets - 21 gauge needle The Accu-Chek Softclix lancet are specially designed to be used with the Softclix Lancing Device. Unlike traditional lancets that have a round shaft, the Softclix lancet has a rectangular cross-section and is significantly smaller than other lancets. Softclix lancing device and lancets are easy to use, small, and lightweight and can easily be used by kids of all ages. The Softclix 21-guage needle minimizes discomfort due to unique design for accurate penetration. Use only with Accu-Check Softlix Lancet Device. Sterile. Accu-Chek Softclix Lancet Directions Remove the cap from the lancet device. Insert a new lancet in the lancet holder. It is properly positioned when it snaps into place. To remove the protective cap, twist and pull it away from the lancet. Replace the cap onto the lancet device. Twist the cap of the lancet device to set the lancet depth. Start at 2 or 3. For tougher skin, dial to a higher number. Press the plunger on the end of the device all the way down until it clicks. A yellow dot will appear and remain in the center of the clear release button. 5. Wash your hands in warm, soapy water. Dry well. Hold the lancet device against the side of your fingertip. I took a chance as I read several reviews for this case and other cases, with varying degrees of satisfaction. This looked to be the best choice. 『I would give this case a 5 for being so cushy and sleek looking, but a 1 for claiming to be designed for the Acer 10.1 inch netbook--there's about a two inch margin on threes sides between the edge of the netbook and the edge of the case. With all that memory foam and extra space, it looks like it would nicely protect a bigger netbook.For me, I picked a netbook to be small. I like the fact that it looks like it'd hold my power cord and maybe even a mouse in the front pocket, but that pocket has nothing to do with the fact that the main compartment is oversized. I liked it until I stuck my netbook in there and saw how much too big it is. I'm sending it right back.』

『I had ordered this battery charger after borrowing one from a friend. It really helped me out of a tough situation and it's quite versatile. It not only jump starts a battery, but it can trickle charge or recondition one.』

『I have the black&decker unit with an F03 problem (model VEC 1095ABD). It has worked well for about 8-9 months, but now it shows only the F03 on any battery (including ones that are operating normally and are charged). I am very disappointed with this unit and it has turned me off from black&decker. The unit is made by a 3rd party OEM (Vector Manufacturing). Previously I owned a Schumacher and it worked well for 10+ years before it was accidentally broken. Anyway, I am going back to Schumacher!』

『Bought this to charge a marine battery and didn't expect to use it much. But I was wrong, courtesy of a balky lawn mower and an aging car. The charger does just what it's supposed to do and does it well. As a bonus, it's very light and portable.

Didn't pay any attention to the quick jump feature when I bought it but it bailed me out recently when I left the lights on in the car and killed the battery. Attached the cables, charged it up, the car turned over and I was out the driveway.』

『This B&D charger uses a switching power supply which makes it quite light. The inside of this charger contains almost nothing... just a fan and a circuit board; the large outside dimensions are retained to remind people this charger is just as powerful as its big and heavy cousins. Some of that volume is used for cord and clamp storage.

This battery charger is different from most battery chargers you have ever used. Most old school chargers are built around a big iron line transformer attached to a diode bridge. Those designs rely on the voltage drop in the transformer and diodes to "current limit" the charge... but they really do a marginal job of it.

The B&D charger uses high frequency switching electronics and a tiny, tiny transformer. Unlike like "old iron" chargers, the current is actively regulated to a precise point until the battery voltage rises to where the charger switches to constant voltage mode. This allows you to charge at a maximum safe rate even as the battery voltage rises. The charge rate in amps is always displayed on a two digit LED display.

A caution: The 25 amp range is too high for charging a gas automobile battery if you wish the longest possible lifetime for your battery. Always use 10 amps if you are not in a hurry. 25 amps is good for the impatient, golf carts, deep cycle batteries, and diesel batteries.

This charger does not spark when you connect the clamps... even if you hook them up backward! Current only flows once the charger is satisfied that it is connected to a battery.

This is the best designed and most innovative battery charger I have seen. And the price is right too!

『Farberware Stainless Steel 36 cup coffee/water urn: I had originally purchased my first one of these about 30 years ago. I used it about once a week for 25 hours, as needed. It sprung a leak, and I called the company about the repair of this product. I learned that the Farberware company no longer fixes their products that breakdown after a year. So I donated it to the GoodWill Industries store, where they will fix it and resell it discounted. I purchased a new one from Amazon.com about two years ago. After using it for about three months, I noticed that the supposedly stainless steel washer or houser located on the bottom of the 36-cup pot, which connected to the outside spigot, had become corroded. It peeled away, with an interior colored metal showing through! I called up the Farberware company to let them know of this defect. After checking the numbers printed on the bottom underneath the urn, the company rep said that I could have a new urn sent to me, if I returned the urn before the year was up. However, they refused to send me a free mailing label and insisted that I return this item by UPS. UPS charged me over $23. to send it! (I also noticed printed on the bottom of the urn, "Made in China" and that was disappointing to see!) About six weeks later, I received a "reconditioned" 36-cup coffee/water urn, via UPS, from the Farberware co. I was disappointed that it wasn't new, as was promised me, but I used it anyway as it was needed very much. After only one month, the supposedly stainless steel washer or houser located inside the bottom part of the urn, also peeled away and became corroded and the bottom part became rusty too. When dried out, I washed the insides with a wet, soft cloth which was rinsed with baking soda to remove the rust. It helped, but the defective washer could not be helped. With a wet cotton swab, I cleaned out the inside of the washer which connected to the spigot and found a great deal of rust inside of the hole! I had asked my doctor if there is any harm in drinking hot, rusty water, and she replied that for most people, there is no problem. But since I have a lot of allergies, she told me that drinking rusty water would not be good for my health! So now I just use the urn's hot water for other purposes, other than for drinking. I am stuck with this urn! Why did I think only "my" urn had a peeling washer/houser? Obviously, it was cheaper to replace all of the manufactured stainless steel urns with washers that were of inferior quality ones! 『Okay, this product is beautiful, but function before beauty. I was so excited about getting my new urn coffee maker as I had done a ton of research and read all the technical specifications and felt that this is the one and it was at a great price. I opened the box read the directions and prepared it for its first use. I set it in place (I have a coffee bar) and plugged it in. It started to sputter from the water left in the bottom from cleaning and rinsing it out. I immediately started to look for the on/off switch, front, back, and both sides, I even checked the lid, THERE WAS NO ON/OFF SWITCH! Well I quickly unplugged it and it stopped sputtering. Went back to the tech spec's...no mention of an on/off switch...just to make sure you fill the urn before plugging it in. My bad. So...the only way to turn this urn on or off is to unplug it. Very poor design and dangerous, at least in my case, as the only electrical outlet is on the wall in the corner directly behind the urn. The directions also advises to turn the unit off (unplug it) when only two cups of coffee remain. No where in all my research thru Amazon spec's the manufaturer's spec's and several other dealer sites does it say anything about no on/off switch or advises that you must unplug the urn to turn it off. Very disturbing. This is an important detail to leave out. If this were stated in the specifications I would not have purchased this urn. I think they know that and that the omission is deliberate. Also, if I am hosting a party the last thing I want to think about is keeping an eye on the coffee pot. I am sure it would not be that difficult to install a sensor to automaticly turn the unit off, and also put in an on/off toggle switch on the front of the urn. I never have used an urn (or even seen one) that did not have an on/off toggle and I have 30 years of hosting recreation events. I contacted thru e-mail the manufacturer and the seller, but have only heard back from the seller who said since it was not defective (she called the manufacturer) she would (if it did not look used, was in the original carton, and the instructions and other paperwork were in prestine condition)take it back as a return but would not be able to refund any of the shipping costs. 30.00! I think I will wait and call the manufacturer myself. Poor, poor tech design and confusing instructions but, it is pretty.』

『The model I recieved was the 3100e. I only saw references to models a and c on the Equus site.
I bought this and when it arrived I tried to install the software on a new computer running Windows Vista. The software loaded but it would not recognize/find the scanner. Luckily I had a laptop using XP and the software loaded and immediately logged in to the site and updated to a new version (the software did not try to update in Vista) and when I plugged in the scanner it too immediately went to the Equus site and updated to new firmware. I took a copy of the updated software and replaced the existing files on the Vista computer and everything worked. There is an updated software on their site but I do not know if it can be used with Vista without first installing it on an XP computer.
A frustrating part of the software is that it wants you to log into the Equus site each time you download a file from the scanner. I guess they want to have it on file if you use their $10 trouble shooting option.
I thought I got a great deal on this, but the day it arrived I was in Costco and found it for a few dollars less than what I paid (and I used Amazon free shipping).
The display is easy to read.
If you are looking for a basic OBD2 scanner this should do well for you and it's price is reasonable compared to others on the market.

It is pretty much a no brainer to work this and I like that it can be updated via the internet. Works on my 2003 Nissan Pathfinder and 2008 Honda Accord. It doesn't do everything like ABS, but I bought it knowing this. Bottom line, it meets my needs and works as advertised.

Now if it only came with a case.

『I bought this to read and clear trouble codes but the X-Gauge displays are great.

Installation was very quick. The OBD connector (at least in my Honda) is not buried in the wiring under the dash. It's mounted on the bottom edge of the dash sheet metal just above the gas pedal, very easy to find.

I mounted the ScanGauge on my steering column cover with the supplied velcro in a few minutes. It's very light so the velcro works and it blocks only part of my odometer.

It displays your choice of four gauges and many of the 'gauges' are things never available in a 'gauge' before like instant, trip and ave. MPG and intake air temp. The data is fascinating.』

(Great product for keeping track of your fuel economy)
『I had my eye on a Scangauge for some time. The tipping point was when I was working on my car and wanted an OBD II reader to check the engine codes. The scangauge does this, so it seemed as good a time as any to buy one.

I've been quite impressed by the functionality. The trip function is useful for knowing my overall fuel economy for a drive. I use the scan function for real time information on my fuel economy, coolant temperature, load, engine timing, and a few other numbers. I'm still learning what some of the features are, but I'm already quite satisfied with the product. It satisfies my curiosity about driving optimality. For instance, last night I discovered that for climbing a certain mountain near my house, it's more efficient to drive it in 3rd compared to 4th, as I did before. I've also found that driving a freeway route late at night is less efficient than driving the same route during the day. My guess is that it's due to intake air temperature, but figuring out reasons is another matter.』

The ScanGaugeII includes a diagnostic scan tool that can check for Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs), clear the codes, and turn off the "Check Engine" light on 99% of 1996 and newer vehicles. (However, this feature may not work on some trouble codes in Dodge vehicles.) If any DTCs are found, the ScanGauge will show how many there are as well as the codes themselves. Then you can use the Internet or repair manual to find out which is the failed part is, so you can repair it yourself or know what needs to be fixed at the mechanic's shop.

Multifunction Trip Computer
Four sets of data are automatically recorded on the trip computer: Current, Today, Previous Day, and Tank Trip. The "current" trip restarts after the engine has been off for more than 3 minutes. The "today" trip restarts after the vehicle has not moved for 9 hours, and the data from "today" is moved to "previous day" when you restart the car, so you don't have to reset the computer every time you begin a trip. "Tank trip" resets when you fill up the tank. It can provide you with "to empty" data and other useful information, which can be viewed any time during the trip. The trip computer also integrates information from the Cost Per Mile gauge. Simply enter how much you paid per gallon or liter of fuel, and the ScanGauge will automatically calculate the cost of your trips as you drive. 『When I migrated to Windows Vista, my old Versa Check product (on floppies) was one of several applications that Vista didn't like. (Besides, I don't have a floppy drive on my new PC.) Although I don't need or want all of the Versa Check 2007 features, it was the only product I found that would achieve the same results I used to get in a kinder, gentler time. And it works great. My only complaint is the online Help file, which has no Index or Search capability. Answers can be hard to find. As for "local help," Vista doesn't recognize it--one of many similar situations.』
