Core2Duoノートレビュー 's review (A Drop at a Time) 『This low-cost rain gauge is calibrated in far more (smaller) increments than the old one it replaced. It should be easier to read, hence more accurate for interpretation. If there is a drawback it is that the vertical numbers and measurement marks are as transparent as the gauge itself, and are difficult to read from any distance. The product illustration shows that. (There is no piece of mounting equipment for the center of the guage, as seems to be indicated in the illustration.)
I fixed the readability problem by affixing a strip of black elecrical tape vertically to the outside back of the guage, from top to bottom, which provides the contrast I need. This is a good product.』
Core2Duoノートレビュー 's review (Gorgeous) 『This shower curtain is just as gorgeous as it looks online. It looks great with a black and white themed bathroom (mine also has some pink in the room and it looks even better).
The only downside is when it is wet it gets quite a bit darker (almost gray looking).
Also, I wanted to use an additional shower liner so it would last longer. This wasn't possible because of the "EZ hooks" it already has built into it.
The EZ hooks are nice because they never come off the pole.
Overall, definitely recommend it for the design!』
(Pretty curtain!) 『Found this shower curtain because I really liked the design and wanted a black and white curtain for our dorm bathroom! Love the design and it requires no hooks - great way to save on costs for college!』 『Ez On shower curtain does not require the use of shower curtain hooks. Product is water resistant, so a separate shower liner is not needed as well. Constructed of 100-percent Polyester, size 70-inch wide by 72-inch long.』

The lyrics are hilarious and biting ("Aspirin and alcohol are not enough to die, Nicole"), and the production - if somewhat repetitive - is tight; the songs hold together fairly well. This album reminds me very much of the Francois Ozon film "Criminal Lovers" - trashy, stylish and sexy. Delicious.
("You can get an American to buy anything...") 『Or at least that seems to be the theory this French band is pushing with this album.
Bland beats and lyrics fittingly filled with all the profanity and none of the subtlety or insight of a true teenager.
Their stupid, sneering anti-Americanism shows that these cultured continentals have spent too much time sitting in front of the tube watching American re-runs and thinking that "The OC" portrays American teens as they really are.
The most interesting thing about this album is it's unintentionally ironic title. They condescendingly proclaim their album to be a mirror for the American listener, when really what it does best is expose their own naievete. Not surprising though, since isn't most hate spurred by ignorance?
To buy and listen to this album is a true excercise in self-loathing for any American. These guys hate us with every fiber of their being. So if listening to how much you're despised set to overly repetitive beats and derivitive New Order guitar sounds like a good time to you, then go for it.
』 『Consisting of three lovely French 20-somethings, lead singer Quentin Delafon, guitarist / synth man Dorian Dumont and bassist Michael Szpiner, The Teenagers are a band that could have only come from Paris. Their sound is built around a backbone of golden pop melodies, with a penchant for leftfield visioning - all enveloped in a sardonic wit and lingering Sofia Coppola soft focus. They are easily one of the most intriguing and unique musical properties to tease us in 2007. While the trio left their teenage years a few years ago, adolescence is a concept that cuts to the core of the group. They're in love with the idea of the dreamy teen, inspired by sunset walks through the park, clogging up shopping malls for no good reason, holding hands, and stolen kisses in the cinema.』

Usually ships in 24 hours Core2Duoノートレビュー 's review (Reprint from The Journal of Singing, Jan/Feb 2004) 『The title of this disk and the image of a sleeping child on the cover might lead one to assume that this is one more "Music to Relax By" recording to add to countless others that have already been made and that threaten to overwhelm the planet. This is actually a stunning collection of widely varied songs by one of the finest art song composers on the scene today. Lori Laitman deservedly stands shoulder to shoulder with Ned Rorem for her uncommon sensitivity to text, her loving attention to the human voice and its capabilities, and her extraordinary palette of musical colors and gestures. One intriguing entry in her resume is a masters degree in flute performance (from Yale School of Music), and it would be interesting to inquire how she believes her extensive background as an instrumentalist has contributed to her growing mastery of vocal composition. This collection is superbly executed in every respect, not only in the smallest musical details, but also in matters of presentation and organization. The disk is about as generous as current technology allows, and features a thoroughly riveting range of song cycles presented with thoughtful introductions from the composer in the liner notes. Her comments are succinct yet heartfelt and seem designed not so much for scholars as for ordinary art song listeners. The singers are able champions of Laitman's music, boasting strong and attractive voices under impressive technical control, and performing these songs most expressively. Warren Jones is pianist for most of the songs and offers his usual brilliant work. Aside from the singers and Mr. Jones, the collection also boasts the presence of one of the world's finest string bass players, Gary Karr, a past teacher of Laitman's husband. It was for his considerable talents that Laitman composed her shattering Holocaust 1944, seven songs based on a wide array of poems either stemming directly from that human tragedy or written in reflection of it. Laitman mentions her earlier holocaust work for soprano voice and alto saxophone, which she says has a lighter and more hopeful quality. This later work is more relentlessly bleak and heart-broken, its dark texts so movingly embodied by Karr's haunting double bass and William Sharp's eloquent baritone. Karr is confronted by technical hurdles of every kind as well as the task of helping to bring these searing words to life. The longest song of the cycle (and of the entire disk) is a setting of a powerful text called "Both Your Mothers" in which the poet, Jerzy Ficowski, speaks to a youngster of the birth mother that gave him up in secret so that he could have life with a new mother in a place far away from the Nazi horror. The double bass conveys in its lower register the savage edge of sorrow, but Laitman also takes it to the uppermost reaches of its range for the moment in the poem when Ficowski speaks of the courageous birth mother, "Who could now step into crowded death happily incomplete" in the hope that her baby would survive. The double bass is also quite striking in the following song, "What Luck," which is the brightest bit of optimism in the cycle, with the poet quietly rejoicing at having escaped almost certain death and able now to enjoy tender moments of affection. Most of the cycle, however, is unsparing in its despair, and never more so than in a poem called "Massacre of the Boys." Laitman writes that it is all but impossible to read these words without weeping, and one can hardly imagine them being set any more movingly than in the stark combination of baritone and string bass. Regrettably, these remarkable songs and their equally remarkable performances are sonically the most poorly recorded pieces on the disk; Mr. Sharp seems to have been recorded from a distance and his lovely timbre has a metallic edge not evident in other recordings. These technical concerns pale in importance, however, beside such remarkable words, music, and artistry. The remaining works on this disk are scarcely less compelling. They underscore Laitman's remarkable regard for the poetic word and her ability to set the irregular and unpredictable texts of Thomas Lux as effectively as the more standard poetry of Dickinson and Teasdale. Four of Lux's delightful and off-beat poems make up Men With Small Heads and are winningly sung by Randall Scarlata with the composer herself at the piano; the rhapsodically absurd "Refrigerator 1957" is a special tour de force for all concerned. There are two sets of more serious and sedate songs featuring the poetry of Emily Dickinson, gorgeously sung by soprano Jennifer Check, who keeps her evidently large voice under impressive control. She admirably contends with Laitman's occasional tendency to send the singer on sudden and somewhat jarring melodic ascents. Sari Gruber offers impressive singing of her own in the cycle Sunflowers, which features some of the most complex music in this collection. The most accessible set is called The Years which Laitman composed in honor of her in-law's fiftieth wedding anniversary. She adapts a simpler and more unabashedly romantic approach for these somewhat sentimental texts, and mezzo-soprano Patricia Green responds to them with an honest expressiveness that is entirely persuasive. The disk ends with its title track, but this is certainly no song of slumber! "Dreaming" is a hilarious recital encore with a text by the composer in which two singers exchange thoughts on the thing they most dream about receiving, "a great review." The rollicking energy of this music shows us yet another side of Lori Laitman's remarkable gifts as a composer, making the dreamed about great review rather prophetic and leaving us hungry for more from this exceptionally gifted genius. GREGORY BERG』
(Magnificent Music) 『I listen to all types of music, including a lot of classical, but I've never spent much time in the art song/lieder genre. Recently a friend gave me"Dreaming - The Songs of Lori Laitman", and all I can say is Wow. What an amazing achievement. The songs are outstanding, the lyrics profound and heartfelt, the melodies rich with power and passion, and the performances absolutely first rate. If you like your music beautiful and have a preference for excellence, do yourself a favor and pick up this disc today. You'll be glad you did.』
(Lori Laitman's Masterful Achievement) 『I fell in love with Lori Laitman's luminous art songs last year when I discovered this composer's debut album, Mystery. I was struck by the freshness of Ms. Laitman's harmonies, the beauty and accessibility of her vocal lines, and her talent for illuminating the unique voice of each poet she sets. My admiration has grown exponentially as I've listened to her second CD, Dreaming-Songs of Lori Laitman. The new disc features two of her signature Emily Dickinson cycles, sung to perfection by soprano Jennifer Check, as well as four darkly hilarious Thomas Lux songs, performed with daffy brio by baritone Randall Scarlata. Mezzo Patricia Green brings the Sara Teasdale cycle, "The Years," to life, while soprano Sari Gruber gives sparkling clarity to "Sunflowers," three Mary Oliver songs that rank among Ms. Laitman's finest. One of my favorite singers, the always-intelligent William Sharp, movingly portrays the pain and loss of "Holocaust 1944," a stirring addition to Ms. Laitman's Holocaust canon featuring texts of authors who were victims of Nazi persecution. Gary Karr expertly accompanies the latter cycle with his virtuosic doublebass, whereas 22 other songs feature sensitive piano work by the incomparable Warren Jones and Ms. Laitman. I don't think it's hyperbole to say that Dreaming is a masterful achievement by a composer writing at the apex of her powers. For me, the recording offers 79 minutes of sheer aural bliss.』

(Issues of Political Correctness Aside) 『Okay, everybody who has any interest in A&A knows about it being started by two White men (Gosden and Correll) in Blackface and later hiring real Black actos for the 12950s TV show. With that said, on to the movie itself.
Simply put, it's not that good by any standards. There are a few midly amusing minutes of A&A doing some of their standard schtick such as"Mulsifyin and Revidin"and"Phone Call to Ruby"(as well as the tire changing routine that would later appear on the TV show). But aisde from this and the priceless footage of the Duke Ellington Band, FORGET IT! This early sound film is as dry as toast! A draggy love story not involving the prinicipal characters also helps slow things down like molasses in January. This film was so bad that even Gosden and Correll themselves have gone on record as dismissing it as junk and Charles Correll's son has recently said that his father hated it so much that he forbade his son from watching it! He had a smart daddy.』

When Derek and Lisa Williams start having trouble in their nine-year marriage, Derek decides to purchase a blowup doll (Delila) to keep as a companion. He becomes so engrossed with his new girlfriend that the doll actually comes to life in his mind or does she really?
Derek and Delila enjoy long conversations, romantic evenings, even walks along the beach, much to Lisas chagrin. Only Derek sees Delila as real, with the exception of a few choice moments when she decides to show her human side to confuse and bewilder strangers. Lisa, though still very much in love with her husband, decides that Derek has lost his mind and that spending time with his imaginary friend is the final blow to the marriage. The hilarious scenarios that take place between this threesome and their families make for great fun with a surprise twist at its conclusion.

Core2Duoノートレビュー 's review (simply accounting) 『Very easy to use and set up. I have been using this system since 1994.』
(Seems OK, but ...) 『I bought this when my Quickbooks 2000 started acting up (requiring me to press "enter" about 20 times to clear a cryptic message which objected that "another program is busy"). Simply Accounting seems to be an adequate alternative to QB, although it is less intuitive to use than QB. Perhaps this is just because I have grown used to using QB. My major complaint is that in order to be able to make adjustments to any invoice which has already been saved, you must have set up SA to use accrual- rather than cash-based accounting. QB has no such restriction. Since I use cash-basis, this is a major limitation. Because of this, I decided to resume using QB (after re-installing it, which eliminated the problem I mentioned). For the money, SA is a good product if the cash versus accrual issue is not a problem for you.』
(Not very impressed with Simply Accounting Basic) 『I was hoping I'd like this more than the corporate bookkeeping system I currently use. We have an acccountant, but like to keep track of the day to day books and cash flow. I was hoping this would be a little easier on us (two of us handle bookkeeping and neither of us have a background in finance or accounting).
But I was really unimpressed. The templates aren't much of a help for our kind of business and there's not even a check register in the program!
Support is also pretty lousy. I know -- what can you expect for under $50, but I expected a flippin' check register at least!
While we will give this another try, I am more than likely going to go back to our old program and chalk this up to an unsuccessful adventure in our search for a good small business bookkeeping package.』
(A great piece of software at a great price!) 『I' would like to start by saying that I made the mistake of buying Microsoft's Small Business Accounting 2006 first. I got sucked in because Microsoft offered a rebate that made it about the same price as Simply Accounting. I thought, "What a bargain!"
I am an idiot. What a big mistake. I should've taken PC Magazine's recommendation of buying Simply Accounting and saved myself [...].
Simply Accounting is by far the superior product hands down. It's flexible, easy to use, and allows me to adapt it to fit my accounting needs. Microsoft's SBA is clunky, rigid, inflexible and just plain horrible.
There are still a few things about Simply Accounting that I would like to see in future versions, but it's definitely the best software in its part of the market.

The knowledge and skills required for preflight preparations as well as those required for departure, en route, terminal, and approach procedures are thoroughly covered. Numerous, full-color illustrations simplify maneuvers perceived to be complicated, such as holding patterns, intercepting and tracking, and flying approaches with crosswinds. Usually ships in 24 hours Core2Duoノートレビュー 's review (Before Beginning A Non-Platonic Relationship) 『I wrote this 6 months ago and things have changed for me a great deal, but still apply.
Though I'm at a very broken part of my life right now, and before I can venture into a relationship with any man, this book, though not very difficult to read, is giving me insight that I do not have to settle for anything than the very best God has to offer for my life. I am definitely not a woman that most men can handle, though, some feel they could.
In my first marriage, I didn't want to be alone, though, I did not feel God wanted me to get married. I found out quickly that I was correct in what my intuitiveness told me. He was not right for me, and a series of poor choices led to my first divorce. Though I was and continue to be anti-divorce, now I've been divorced twice. It was not my desire to be divorced a 2nd time, but another series of poor choices led to that marriage, then divorce.
As I judged Liz Taylor for her many marriages, I could see now how she could have so many marriages. She just wants to be loved, accepted, cherished. She certainly doesn't need money, as she has plenty of that. I don't want to go from relationship to relationship, searching.
Getting a good understanding of God and a working knowledge of Him, who I am in Jesus Christ, the person He has made me to be, and the best compliment in a godly man for me, and a father to my children will take time. I'm grateful to the many godly men and women who have gone before and are sharing their wisdom with people like me. And, I'm grateful that I am now opened to learning, to waiting however long it takes. I've learned it's better to be alone than to be with the wrong person. It takes time to unload all this baggage and really start from a clean slate.
Recognizing the pitfalls, avoiding them, allowing healing to occur in the broken areas, and proper recovery is all very important. This is a very special time of my life, and though lonely, it's a great opportunity. It's not an obstacle, rather it is a time to see God really work in this darkness of m life. In trading, there is a candlestick pattern called the morning star. It occurs when things look really bleak. I'm there. 』

(Don't settle for less) 『Elsa Kok (Colopy) has written another great bible study full of great advice, easy to use checklists, and heartfelt stories to encourage, coach, and mentor single women in their journey for that someone special. Elsa reminds us that we are not alone with a loving God always at our side, therefore, we need not rush into an unhealthy relationship. Her book not only gives advice like so many others, but also provides ways to measure both parties in the relationship and the relationship itself. It is a very hands on book that gives you something to work with not just lofty theory one can't figure out how to apply. I recommend this book to anyone looking for Mr. Right, especially if your life has been filled with Mr. Wrongs previously.』

(Settling for Less Than God's Best) 『The information contained in this book literally transformed the way I think about relationships and dating. What I learned here helped me realize that when I date with a "God perspective" it is much easier to rule out those who I would typically "settle" for and showed me the benefits of waiting patiently for God's best. Using the tools learned from this book I started asking the questions "what do his relationships with family, friends, and God look like? What do his past relationships look like?" - things I may not have paid much attention to before, but the answers to these questions are vitally important when getting to know someone and determining if their character is in line with my values. The checklists at the end of each chapter were helpful to show me the type of person God intends for me to be in relationship with and to give me a sort of benchmark as to the type of character traits my potential mate should have.
I have shared this book with many of my single women friends, who have in turn shared it with their friends, who have all agreed that it changed their perspective on what they look for while in a dating relationship. I also gave it to my teen-aged daughter to read. I think all teen girls should read this book first before venturing out in the world of dating. It helps give them a firm foundation of what to look for, and what to avoid when considering someone as a potential mate.』 『This book is full of practical tools to guide women toward Gods heart in their search for the right guy. It can serve as guide to both project selection and execution. It helps you identify and use the tools that are most appropriate for your specific problem. I would highly recommend for anyone learning or leading continuous improvement efforts in their organizations. Should also be a required textbook! Forrest is the future of Quality. What Deming did for the movement Forrest is taking it to the next level.』
(How to devise or re-invent an effective business management system) 『 Actually, this is the fourth of a four-volume set of books written by Forrest Breyfogle III, with the first volume (The Integrated Enterprise Excellence System: An Enhanced, Unified Approach to Balanced Scorecards, Strategic Planning, and Business Improvement) providing an overview on the other three. Briefly, the IEE system is set of management techniques that when effectively implemented improve an organization's measurement and improvement system so that there is an increase in predictable and sustainable bottom-line benefits. The IEE system embeds a set of best practices derived from the strengths of past systems--applying structured metrics and a no nonsense roadmap to initiate process improvement and achieve substantial benefits. IEE takes Lean Six Sigma and the Balanced Scorecard to the next level in the pursuit of enterprise excellence.
In two earlier works that I read and then reviewed, Implementing Six Sigma, Second Edition: Smarter Solutions Using Statistical Methods (2003) and Managing Six Sigma: A Practical Guide to Understanding, Assessing, and Implementing the Strategy That Yields Bottom-Line Success (2000) co-authored with James Cupello and Becki Meadows, Breyfogle indicates that he is a pragmatic optimist in that he is determined to know what does and does not work (also why and why not) but he also believes that all human initiatives can be improved. He seems driven to share everything he has learned with as many people as possible. In my opinion, that is why his explanations are so specific and so thorough as well as anchored in real-world situations.
This book offers an excellent case in point. Apparently writing primarily for the individual who aspires to develop superior skills and competence in process improvement project management, Breyfogle organizes his material with meticulous care within seven Parts: Integrated Enterprise Management System and E-DMAIC (i.e. Enterprise Process Define-Measure-Analyze-Improve-Control), Improvement Project Roadmap: Define Phase, Improvement Project Roadmap: Measure Phase, Improvement Project Roadmap: Analyze Phase, Improvement Project Roadmap: Improve Phase, Improvement Project Roadmap: Control Phase, and Appendix in which seven are provided (Infrastructure, Six Sigma Metrics Article, Creating Effective Presentations, P-DMAIC Execution Roadmap and Selected Drill Downs, P-DMAIC Execution Toll Gate Check Sheets, Implementation of Six Sigma (Breyfogle 2003) Supplemental Material, and Reference Tables) followed by a Glossary and References.
Breyfogle serves several functions in this as well as in each of the other three volumes in the IEE series. First, as a geographer, he is intimately familiar with the territory that his reader is about to explore. Also, as a cultural anthropologist, he fully understands the nature and extent of probably barriers, challenges, and (yes) perils that await once the process (i.e. "discovery journey") has begun. Moreover, as a cartographer and navigator, he can assist with formulating or revising all manner of "roadmaps" that will enable his reader (i.e. the "traveler") to proceed safely in a timely manner. Finally, as an adviser, he is well-qualified to provide counsel when (inevitably) decisions about adjustments, modifications, and even "detours" must be made.
In an article published last week (April 10, 2009), Breyfogle asserts that, relative to our financial crisis, "there seems to be an elephant in the room that is being avoided. It seems like much discussion about the financial crisis is focusing on greed and use of process improvement activities such tools as Lean and Six Sigma. There is also blog discussion by the Harvard Business Review (HBR) about how the business schools teachings are part of the problem. The real question that should be addressed is what should be done differently?" He acknowledges that there are several "elephant in the room" business management governance policies that nobody seems to openly talk about. For example, red--yellow-green scorecards that permit, indeed enable playing games with the numbers. Also, addition table of numbers, stacked bar charts, and pie charts are not leading to actions that truly fix problems and make long-lasting improvements. "Our business management system is broken and needs re-invention - NOW! What is needed is a business management system that integrates healthy policy creation with scorecards, strategic planning, business improvement efforts and control. A business management governance system that addresses these needs is the 9-step business system of the Integrated Enterprise Excellence (IEE)."
Of course, everything any decision-makers need to know and understand about this system is provided in the four-volume series. Breyfogle also invites his reader to check out the resources available at http://www.smartersolutions.com/blog/forrestbreyfogle/?p=711. Obviously, it remains for others to decide to what extent will guide and inform their own efforts to devise or reinvent their business management system but I do presume to suggest that it is worthy of their careful consideration.』
(IIE Volume III - A Must Read for Students, Engineers, Consultants, Project Mgrs) 『Integrated Enterprise Excellence Volume III fuses enterprise strategy with operational execution. In the most comprehensive step-by-step Lean Six Sigma manual on the market today, this 1,100+ page guide is the perfect companion aid for any engineer, technology or business student, consultant, project manager or Lean Six Sigma practitioner who is serious about their career advancement and driving enterprise excellence in their company.
From business strategy and balanced scorecards to project management steps and detailed design of experiments, this is one of the most important handbooks on business performance improvement. - Frank Shines, former IBM Principal and Director of Industriaplex』
(Going Beyond "Implementing Six Sigma") 『Integrated Enterprise Excellence Volume III (IEEV3)is one volume of a three volume series - but as a standalone text, it is essentially a highly evolved sequel to the award-winning Implementing Six Sigma (ISS) books which were first published nearly a decade ago, in 1999. Although the second edition of ISS (2003) introduced a substantial amount of new reference material to the original book, it was still largely a handbook for implementation of conventional Lean/Six Sigma systems at the operational level. IEEV3 introduces new topics, new text, and new graphics to provide a significant step beyond both earlier ISS books in scope, structure and content.
Although both earlier books generally address the wise application of improvement systems and analytical tools to resolving business problems, the scope of IEEV3 has been broadened to acknowledge and more clearly define two distinct yet interdependent levels of study and improvement: the operational level and the enterprise level.
IEEV3 takes the position that to focus on specific operational process improvements without consideration of effects throughout the enterprise can result in suboptimization of results if not counterproductive unintended consequences. To be effective, operational level improvement projects must derive from the study of enterprise level "top down" requirements that consider the needs of the entire enterprise.
At the outset, IEEV3 reviews the limitations of traditional improvement systems and methods and describes how, using the principles of IEE, established project improvement tools - like DMAIC and TOC- can be combined with innovative analytical methods for enterprise level goal setting and measurement to avoid problems and enhance performance.
The main body of the book walks the reader through a detailed DMAIC project level execution (P-DMAIC) roadmap using the enhanced measurement and scorecard techniques of IEE. It also includes extensive discussions on essential project management techniques: building team effectiveness, encouraging creativity, and how to document and present resulting improvements.
The Appendix includes additional concepts that are used in the enterprise process or project execution roadmap steps, including drill downs, check sheets, and reference tables.
In summary, Volume III of the new series is an expanded sequel to Forrest's previous award winning book - Implementing Six Sigma . It focuses on meeting the demanding business challenges of the 21st Century and avoiding the unintended consequences of earlier implementations. It provides additional analytical tools and a new, expanded and improved practical roadmap for successful implementation of Lean Six Sigma and the DMAIC process at the operational level, orchestrated to align with business needs and support the attainment of meaningful enterprise level goals.

(Knowledge leader) 『If anyone wants to understand how process management works on an enterprise level, this is the book to get. If anyone wants to know the future look of Six Sigma, this is the book to get. If anyone want to understand Lean principles and how they should work, this is the book to get. Forrest Breyfogle has been one of the most proflilic writers in the world of Six Sigma and process improvement. Even people who are afraid of math and statistics will understand the value of the tools and techniques that he writes about. His crisp style and many examples help the reader to understand the fundamentals and the outcomes of using these approaches to business excellence. Every Six Sigma practitioner should have this book.』 『A Lean Six Sigma deployment Master Black Belt, Black Belt, or Green Belt can benefit immensely from a step-by-step Define-Measure-Analyze-Improve-Control (P-DMAIC) project-execution-roadmap, where Lean and Six Sigma tools are truly integrated for effective problem solving. The P-DMAIC roadmap needs to truly integrate both statistical and non-statistical tools, going beyond traditional Lean Six Sigma techniques.
In addition, the P-DMAIC project management roadmap needs to have a 30,000-foot-level process control system that assesses process stability/predictability so that special-cause variability is truly separated from common-cause variability. For predictable processes, a system process capability statement is needed that is expressed in easy-to-understand terms; e.g., the process has been predictable for the last 38 weeks and unless something changes we expect to have a future non-conformance rate of approximately 2.3%.
The 30,000-foot-level project/operation metric improvement needs are to lead the practitioner through the DMAIC project execution roadmap to the most appropriate tools for timely-positive-project success. For example, a detailed P-DMAIC roadmap needs to guide both the novice and expert to appropriate Lean and other tools for lead time and WIP 30,000-foot-level metric improvement needs. Kaizen events and other Lean activities need to have improve-phase DMAIC roadmap whole-enterprise-beneficial prescription. A P-DMAIC roadmap needs to orchestrate Lean activities with statistical analytical and non-statistical tools such as design of experiments (DOE) and plan-do-check-act (PDCA) for process analysis and improvement; i.e., a quality control management and operational system for long-lasting organizational benefits.
This volume describes IEE benefits and its measurement techniques providing a detailed step-by-step Project Define-Measure-Analyze-Improve-Control (P-DMAIC) roadmap, which has a true integration of Six Sigma and Lean tools.
The IEE system is a set of management techniques that embeds best practices derived from the strengths of past systems - applying structured metrics and a no nonsense road-map to initiate process improvement and achieve predictable and sustainable bottom-line benefits.』

Core2Duoノートレビュー 's review (First set of poker chips) 『I got this chip set as a birthday gift for my boyfriend. He wanted a nice poker chip set so he could start having tourneys. Well when they arrived, all were accounted for, however the case was damaged on the bottom side. Not from delivery either the box was intact. It looks as if the assembly process went awry. I agree with the prior comment, the lock is very weak. I think its more for looks than anything. So if you don't really care too much about how the chips are stored, then this set is great. The case, however needs to be beefed up with that much weight.』
(Would have been 5 stars, but . . . .) 『All in all it's a great set of high quality chips. The weight is perfect and the chips are durable. Everyone at my Tourny's love these chips. It makes for easier game play when the denominations are on the chips. The set needs some upgrades in the end. I took one star away for the case, I've had it for a month and it is starting to seperate from the weight of the chips. That is not a good thing. Who wants to lug around 1000 loose chips? Not this guy. Also the lock is flimsy. The other star was from the cards, chip denomination&rule book. Both decks have delaminated in one use, crap cards. The chip denomination should have contained $10 chips instead of $1 chips, who uses $1 chips in a game? First blind increase and their useless. It would have been nice to see the $5000&$10,000 chips in the set. Instead I had to buy those seperately. Lastly, the rule book, crap. Not a useful piece of information in it, if you've ever played Poker before. Then again, I didn't buy the set for the book. If the case was better, I'd highly recommend the set, but it's not, so I won't.』 『This is our 14 Gram Heavy Weighted poker chip Set with Hi Roller Design. Core2Duoノートレビュー 's review (Good, not quite great) 『I'm a frequent traveler for work and I was looking for a durable, lightweight roll aboard to replace the slightly-too-large model I've been towing.
The Checkpoint bag succeeds in the lightweight category. It appears durable, but only time will tell. Replaceable wheels should help - those have gone bad on previous bags (e.g. after dragging through the streets of Paris for hours looking for a hotel). The handle feels solid and the plastic bumper guards on the back and bottom look sturdy.
The large zippered pocket on the front of the bag is great for storing a laptop and retrieving it quickly for TSA.
Unfortunately, the two smaller pockets inside the large pocket are almost useless. They *desperately* need a zipper or velcro closing mechanism. Anything I put in those pockets is going to slide out and end up in the bottom of the big section where it's difficult to reach and crunched under my laptop.
That leads me to my only other complaint: there aren't any small and quick external pockets - well, except for the ticket pocket, but that's only useful for tickets. The ticket pocket is tall and narrow and hugs tightly to the bag, though it also doesn't have any kind of cinch on top. It's a great place to store your ticket when you arrive at the airport until you get on the plane. When the bag goes horizontal, though, I'd put it somewhere more secure.
The ticket pocket is too deep and too tight to the bag to hold much else. Oddly, there are two of them, so I don't know what you'd put in the other one. Also, they hug the corner of the bag which makes for some nearly unusable pocket space.
What I'd really like is a small, convenient and secure exterior pocket where I can put my passport and my car keys. The Checkpoint doesn't have this.
I'd also welcome a larger and much less secure external pocket where I could put a newspaper or magazine. I'd like to suggest using the location of the two straps on the front of the bag. Actually, I could just slip my newspaper under these straps if there was something to prevent it sliding out the bottom - maybe the bottom edge of the bottom strap should be sewn to the bag.
But, onto more of the positives: the interior of the bag seems roomy and well thought-out. I like the shoe pocket which seems to be air-tight enough to hold my running shoes. The other two pockets also have zippers (yea!) and they're convenient and spacious for toiletries or other small to medium items that would otherwise slide around and get lost under your clothes.
I especially like that the bag is not rigid in all three dimensions (unlike my previous bag). It can collapse a little front to back and slightly top to bottom. That helps the bag only take up only as much space as you pack into it - if you pack lightly, you should be able to squeeze your bag into a tighter slot in the overhead. If you're going for a whole week, you can cram it full and it will definitely still fit if you get on the plane early enough. (Note to bag designers - a few tweaks to the shape of the rigid plastic shell could take this flexibility even further. Every centimeter counts those times when you're in the last group to board.)
The handles on all sides were a good idea.
In summary - this is a very good bag, but with a few minor changes, Timbuk2 could turn this into the greatest bag to ever go in an overhead bin.』
(This bag rocks) 『I travel a lot. I *never* check my bags when traveling on planes. I dig this bag.
I always take one carry-on and one bag in the overhead storage bin when flying no matter where I go (yes, including India).
Best features: Swappable skate board wheels!! (I really like the idea of customizing my bags and often do customize my bags with stickers, etc.) Hint: you guys should offer customizable wheels on your site. Better yet, offer customizable bags.
Outside pouch will hold my laptop - and it's padded! when going through security - easy to take out and put back.
Tapered end maximizing space in the overhead (this is a 'no duh' feature, surprise it wasn't out there earlier).
Zippered inner pouches so that my stuff isn't everywhere when I open the bag.
Handles on every side - you can grab and lug, throw, toss this bag where it needs to be, you don't have to wrestle with it.
What's needed: The outside zippered pouch that holds my laptop has a couple of inner pockets, sure wish these had zippers on them.
Rotating hand grip on the extended handle when you are towing it.
