This basket isn't the top of the line picnic baskets, but it has alot for what you buy for, really. Picnic baskets are not cheap but this one is VERY resonable for everything that comes along with it. I, highly, recommend it.

Not that the remaster makes an incredible difference but it's clearly noticeable. And the extra tracks variate from amazing to interesting.
This is one of the B-Boys best and one of personal favs (though honestly I love em all). But this new re-issue and remastered version is just amazing! And the extra is full of so many goodies it's like a new record just came out! Highly recommended to any B-Boy fan out there!
I'm a big beasties fan, but this one left me wanting more. The recent Paul's Boutique reissue comes with a bonus disc that is pretty good, but this one is kinda lame. The actual Check Your Head album is great, but there's no reason to buy this version instead of the much cheaper single-disc version.
I remember picking up the original CD release back in 1992. While this album is no Paul's Boutique, it brought the Beasties into a new direction. It also put them back on the charts with Pass The Mic and So What'Cha Want.

This new re-rerelease (2009) does sound better than the 1992 release. However, if you do pick up the vinyl, just know that the bonus tracks that are included on the CD re-release are not included. For the price of the vinyl, they could have included another disc with the bonus tracks, or at the very least an MP3 download.
You probally wouldn't expect much from The Beastie Boys after releasing Paul's Boutique. After all, it pretty much was a king of sampling, and there's no real way to top that album, especially since sampling wasn't going too well after the album being released. So instead of panicking, The Beastie Boys decided to employ their own beats more, and add some of their early rock influence, and live funk courtesy of keyboards.

It works, extremely well. Whether Mike D (that's my guess, since he usually played drums) or a sample was backing the beat, I can't help but feel this may be the most organic rap album as far as beats, always heavy, funky, great. Oh, and there's the percussion too. They still sample, but it's not very dominated with samples like Paul's Boutique. Plenty of other stuff, but have a listen for yourself.

They really isn't a bad song on here, nearly all of them rule in different ways. Lighten Up Groove Holmes and Namaste are laid back funk tracks, some of them rock, like Time For Livin'. They still rap and shout over some of the coolest beats made in a rap album, but yeah, there's a lot of variety. There's really not much else to say but to check it out. There's plenty of stuff that would take foerver to describe like this, and I don't feel like doing a track listing because it would be just redundant. Still though, Beastie Boy listeners can't pass this one up. Seriously. Not much else to say anyway.

With their third album, the Beasties transformed themselves from smart-ass punks with a hip-hop jones into a playful live funk band with some solid rhymes, assisted by the extraordinary keyboardist Mark Ramos Nishita. A couple of tracks look back to their old school rap roots, and they still deploy goofy samples like nobody's business, but they're mostly making their own grooves (including some instrumentals worthy of being sampled in their own right). Their universalist world-view results in some excellent, off-the-wall fusions--the metalloid bump that forms the funk pulse of "So What'cha Want," Sly Stone's "Time for Livin'" transformed into a hard-rock bomber--but they don't have to prove how clever they are any more, and they're stronger and more humane for it.--Douglas Wolk

What an incredible Cd off of an incredible label, power=pop at its greatest, though its not popular..at all.
After another exausting losing season, this cd inspired me to pick up the rod&reel again and give it another go. Thanks fellas.
The past two years have brought hours of listening to this album! It is still one of my all time favorites! Greg and Jason sharing lead vocals&guitar make this band unique. They each add their writing styles to the band. I can hardly wait for their new album SOME OF THE YOUNG to be released on April 22, 2003!
Every song is as melodic and catchy as the one before, and since it's on replay right now, it keeps getting even more catchy (and better)! Jason's voice, awesome lyrics, and a beat to back it up make this, like, totally wonderful. There are no words to describe. And if you've ever seen them live, it makes the record even better. Basically if you have any taste, you'll love it.
This is creative, upbeat music, fun to listen to! The rhythm makes you want to dance away your frustations. This band will go places. It already holds its own with the best.

(Two very different albums)

These two albums were not originally released together, and to me, it does not seem like they should be. They really don't have much in common besides the fact that they're both very good.

Chyekk China Doll is a very upbeat album with lots of great Ka-Spelian waltzes, which aaAzhyd China Doll has a much darker feel. Perhaps they were paired up like this to suit different moods!

I can only express my true sentiments with one word - JUNK! I know different horses for different courses but this is mindless garbage. The music CD is bargain bin type stuff of which some is mildly listen able however the DVD is so weird that even if you were tripping on acid I don't think the videos would inspire any startling revelations. Don't waste your money on this rubbish.
Probably to weird to understand, but then again, you never understood ANYTHING. Cosmic toxic stew anthology of several short tales from the nasty corner of a cinematic dumpster. Character-driven, takes parts from sci-fi, sexual mind benders, 80's teen movies, spy thrillers, bad horror movies, disgusting snuff flicks, urban decay intropsections, heavy metal videos, porn, and the bastard child of David Lynch does John Watters fluffed by Fellini and Troma. Comes with the soundtrack also. Includes the Doormouse (Addict Records) "Skelechairs" video which is a cinematic delight in its own right and deserves the price alone.

Everytime I take a temp I get a different reading. Even in the same ear within 6 seconds. And not just a couple of tenths of degrees, full 5-6 degree difference. This product is crap and I am returning it.

Easy to use, very practical stuff. Gets right to the heart of the matter. I am a professional and use the Code Check books often.
Excellent knowledge base for the DIY and pro. This series of books will show you everything you need to know to do it right the first time and pass those crucial inspections.
When it was difficult to get to the library to view the Uniform Plumbing Code, I used this at home to study for an exam. I was rudely surprised when I got to the libary, compared the references to the code, and found that this guide was riddled with errors. It serves a purpose as it alerts the user to possible code issues, but you must check all references. The codes are expensive but not as expensive as counting on this guide might be.
Code check has helped me immensely. I teach residential plumbing for a 150+ employee 1500+ homes a year Northern California company and have found that the info in C.C. is formatted in such a way that my apprentice plumbers can easily find info they need. They seldom need clarification. All codes cited are referenced with the UPC and IRC section numbers for easy look up.(IRC not used here in NorCal but nice for those who need it) Diagrams are simple and clear. C.C. is laminated and tough. Built for in the field use. I love this book. Holding back the fifth star due to spanish version unavailability.
This has good diagrams, good descriptions, but is very basic. For the money you can find a better source.

I was very disappointed when I first tried to install this product in that it WILL NOT work with Windows NT or 2000. I had to boot up the old Windows 98 machine to try it out. The user interface is one of the worst I've seen in a long time, requiring you to jump through many hoops just to get a check printed or designed. The help files are not very detailed. In fact there is some sort of"check encryption id"that is printed on each check and looks pretty cool, but there is no mention of what it is or how it works or how it improves the security of your check.

On the positive side, it does seem to integrate with quickbooks, but again, only under windows 98.

Also, this program does not print deposit slips like many of the other check printing programs. For the cost, it is not worth it. I will attempt to get a refund.
I found MyBusinessCheckWriter extremely useful for my business. The easy-to-use design wizard give me the freedom I needed to create professionally designed checks. I have multiple bank accounts in U.S. and Canada and each time the checks were successfully accepted. I was able to add my company logo, font, and digital signature. This is a must product for a business that wants to save time and money. I was able to integrate it with my Quickbooks data as well. It even came with checks enclosed.
I got this sofware for myself but find it to be much more complex than what it need it to be. The layout of the sofware is very confusing and the options are not clear. Once you make a template for a check, it takes a lot of turns to change it around. You have to keep going back and forware in two differents icons to be able to print. Make sure to have a laser printer, it is a"requirement". My (money was) a total waste.

it took about an hour to get it to work right but I love the program. I can pick up blank check paper from any business depot and it works. Putting in the account info was a bit time consuming put over all it is great. thanks
I also call tech support and purchased the code. It STILL does not work on XP. I also went back to my old check program. I really liked the fact that you could change the font and size of font in this program, but could not get it to work.
After weeks of trying to print blank checks with this product and after noticing that my bank was unable to record some check numbers.. finally the realization that ONLY LASER PRINTERS USING MAGNETIC INK can print checks. The instructions refer to but do not limit to those requirments. FOR LASER PRINTERS ONLY should be prominantly displayed On box. What a waste of time and money. ..
This product is awful. If you are using Microsoft XP it won't install. You must call their sales line to get an unlock code to install a download version that works with XP. After setting up two accounts it was impossible to print blank checks to verify that they print correctly. Documentation is almost non existant. I could not print checks out of Quicken. You cannot print full size checks only wallet size checks from this product. I consider the purchase price a complete waste. I uninstalled it and went back to my other check printing software.
I got a version of this software recently and found that it won't work on Windows NT/2000. This is listed in the system requirements, but I wasn't careful enough to notice it.
