We got this about a year ago and it was okay. Better than most Black and Deckers but not great. The interface is a bit confusing and the toasting and broiling is not good (but not bad either) and has been getting progressively worse. Tater Tots should not take 40 minutes! Well last night it happened, the upper (back) element has failed to light and it appears that it is broken. We had this for less than a year and this is a big disappointment. Save your money and try to find something else.
This oven stinks. The controls are too complicated. I shouldn't have to remind my mom every time she visits how to use it! It's not logical at all.

TOASTING: It takes an eternity to toast anything, esp. frozen waffles. It does not automatically shut off when toasting is done.

BAKING: The oven only sets in 50 degree increments (350, 400, 450, etc.) I think the temp must run high because I burn things on a regular basis. Plus, you cannot turn the oven on without setting the timer first. So to pre-heat, you have to set the timer to some random number.

I essentially have given up using the oven function and only use it to toast.

I cannot begin to decribe I how much I hate this expensive piece of junk. I'm asking Santa for a new toaster oven for Christmas.
This toaster oven makes really good toast--and the digital controls are very user-friendly. It is good at baking, also--but you must be careful not to overbrown the bottom of your baked goods.

BTW, the notorious "beep" is not particularly loud or annoying.

This is an OK product. I expected it to be a much better quality. It does the job...but I wouldn't say it's any better than a $30 toasted oven. I have heard so many great things about DeLonghi and will give them another try. However, I would pass this product in particular up if/when we need another toaster oven.

I have owned this toast-r-oven for two years. A power failure "fryed" the digital works. I was unable to get it fixed as parts were no longer available. I searched the web and I was able to find the last (known) Delonghi XD479B toast-r-oven for sale. I quickly bought it. It is the best four slice toast-r-oven I have ever owned. I believe this product is no longer manufactured. I don't know which Delonghi toast-r-oven has replaced it nor do I know why (if) it has been replaced.

In 2006, producer/rapper Newman, of Giant Panda, first heard rapper Shawn Jackson over the Mekalek produced track Dream Come True. Newman was blown away and commenced to deliver a beat CD to Shawn. Following that, Newman and Shawn put out the Go! single. Go! sold well in L.A., the U.K., and Japan garnering attention from tastemakers such as Quantic and most notably Andy Smith of Portishead. This warm reception inspired the two, now known as New Jack Hustle, to create a full-length album. The resulting project became Sound Check.
Sound Check is the debut album from New Jack Hustle, with Newman handling all the production and helping on the raps, leaving Shawn Jackson to bless the production. The entire album was recorded on 2 tape at Old Standard Sound studio in Portland, Oregon. Being in Portland allowed two of the cities finest, Rev. Shines&Vursatyl (of Lifesavas), and Ohmega Watts to be the only guest on the LP. Stand-out tracks include Lionel , centering around an elastic beat and Latin atmosphere, New Shades s throbbing vibe and Shawn Jackson s chant-esque rhymes, and Ronald s breezy, chill educing beat countered by the political observant rhymes of Shawn Jackson and Vursatyl. Sound Check is sure to have heads checking bins for the sounds introduced on this album.

(Very Good Modern Roots Sound)

On this album LMS successfully brings roots reggae into a contemporary arena. The majority of the album uses a culture roots feel, but with a modern sound that inspires dreamy and optimistic feelings. There are two fast "dancehall" songs toward the end of the album, and two others that sound more like ambient hip hop than culture reggae, but mostly the album is smooth and easy throughout. "Girl From Kingston Town" and "Saddle Up" are masterpieces. Even the crossover material sounds very good. When this group finally realizes that rap is out of style, and focuses more on their beautiful, harmonic singing concept with one-drop reggae beats, they'll be the most infectious group in contemporary reggae.
As a new member of the reggae arena, LMS has really impressed me with their conscious reggae and hip hop type beats. Their message is quite clear as they give praises to the most high for allowing them to see life for what it is truly worth. This is a must have album that will be of enlightenment for listeners of all ages.

I used a Lifestream cholesterol meter until they un-expectedly went out of business. This meter appears to use the same technology, but it is packaged better (smaller and has a lid to protect the sample from bright lights during the measurement). Like my previous meter, results are more consistent if you do the test under very dim lights. I did not buy my meter through Amazon, so I have no feedback to give regarding this seller, but I am happy with the meter. The strips come in a lot of 25 in a plastic container, and they are only good for 60 days once the container is opened.

I read this book after struggling in a string of secular based relationships. The author introduced the concept (which was new to me!) that I was worthy, that relationships needed Christ at its center, and that prayer in seeking His will is essential. WOW! After 2 years of putting this into practice, and after reading this and re-reading this book, I met the Christian man of my dreams. The Lord used Ken Abraham as a messenger to bring single Christians direction in dating according to His plan. I thank God for Ken and message. One part that really caught my eye pointed out that you should be praying for the person that would be coming into your life when God wanted him/her to, as this person might be struggling as well. Ken was so right. I learned that my husband was struggling with some issues at the very same time I was reading Ken's book! I am now a Christian counselor and I share this book with anyone I can...I have to purchase another book--I can't get folks to return this book!
I'm not a person who usually reads, however when I began to read this book, I literally could NOT put it down. I took the book to work, and read it every chance I could. I even would take half of my lunch break to read at least ONE chapter of the book.

Thank you Mr. Abraham for writing such a DYNAMIC book. It is showered down with wisdom within each chapter of the book. All sixteen chapters were superb!

A friend has borrowed my copy because she was not able to obtain her own. When she returns it - I will read the book AGAIN! I am recommending it to all my friends.
Here is positive, practical, and effective counsel for enjoying life fully as a single person. Abraham encourages sexual abstinence, but realizing that there are those who have already "bitten the apple" and are struggling with potentially devastating relational problems, he points out the path of forgiveness for sexual sin and the way to recovery of personal purity.

Ever seen the Geico commercial where the guy marries this girl and did not realize she had a mountain of unpaid credit card bills? This book is intended for a woman to use to check out her boyfriend or husband, hopefully before she gets married to him or gets hurt by him. This is a general investigations book and brushes over the laws applicable to this type of investigations. Investigations generally could be done by a lay person and this book is easy to understand. In depth information may not be available in your state and you might have to hire a professional if you really need the information. Knowledge of computers, applicable laws, etc. is required to be able to utilize this book.
This book is full of resources that I never would have known were available. In today's society women really need to be careful of the men they date. A man can be so nice on the surface and after checking him out his background can show the con man in him. This book is well written. It answers many questions, and does so in a light-hearted fashion - without compromising the great information. I never thought I could laugh while reading a gut book, and learn a great deal at the same time! Has tips on how to avoid getting traveler's sickness, and how to stay healthy on an every day basis. There is also a good section on nutrition with meal suggestions. I highly recommend this book!
For a lay person, this is the perfect book. It's easy to read, well laid out, and helps me understand not only how to deal with current problems, but also how to prevent new ones. I've already told by three adult sons to buy it, and now I'm going to tell my brothers and sister and their kids.
Not just another diet or exercise book, but a unique reference tool that discusses a difficult subject with wisdom and wit and provides concise, expert information on how to optimize bowel function, prevent disease, and achieve great health.

(A great piece of software at a great price!)

Very easy to use and set up. I have been using this system since 1994.
I bought this when my Quickbooks 2000 started acting up (requiring me to press "enter" about 20 times to clear a cryptic message which objected that "another program is busy"). Simply Accounting seems to be an adequate alternative to QB, although it is less intuitive to use than QB. Perhaps this is just because I have grown used to using QB. My major complaint is that in order to be able to make adjustments to any invoice which has already been saved, you must have set up SA to use accrual- rather than cash-based accounting. QB has no such restriction. Since I use cash-basis, this is a major limitation. Because of this, I decided to resume using QB (after re-installing it, which eliminated the problem I mentioned). For the money, SA is a good product if the cash versus accrual issue is not a problem for you.
I was hoping I'd like this more than the corporate bookkeeping system I currently use. We have an acccountant, but like to keep track of the day to day books and cash flow. I was hoping this would be a little easier on us (two of us handle bookkeeping and neither of us have a background in finance or accounting).

But I was really unimpressed. The templates aren't much of a help for our kind of business and there's not even a check register in the program!

Support is also pretty lousy. I know -- what can you expect for under $50, but I expected a flippin' check register at least!

While we will give this another try, I am more than likely going to go back to our old program and chalk this up to an unsuccessful adventure in our search for a good small business bookkeeping package.
I' would like to start by saying that I made the mistake of buying Microsoft's Small Business Accounting 2006 first. I got sucked in because Microsoft offered a rebate that made it about the same price as Simply Accounting. I thought, "What a bargain!"

I am an idiot. What a big mistake. I should've taken PC Magazine's recommendation of buying Simply Accounting and saved myself [...].

Simply Accounting is by far the superior product hands down. It's flexible, easy to use, and allows me to adapt it to fit my accounting needs. Microsoft's SBA is clunky, rigid, inflexible and just plain horrible.

There are still a few things about Simply Accounting that I would like to see in future versions, but it's definitely the best software in its part of the market.

The only thing that I would criticize is that their tech support after your first 30 days is too expensive. There should be more tiers of support (ie. bronze, silver, gold) so that you can choose how much support you get and how much you pay. As it stands, I won't be paying for support because I can't afford it so I'm on my own after my 30 days is up.
