These napkins add a lovely touch to my table. They are a great size (big), look beautiful, and the price was great with the four for the price of three offer. I've yet to see how well they hold up to washing, but as of now they get five stars! I've downgraded these to four stars, although it doesn't show. They're great, but to look good they need ironing. Arghhh. Can't be doing that everyday!

(I'M GETTING A TATTOO OF THIS MOVIE)

This is a bizarre one. Somewhere in here is a very disturbing, very good movie. The traces of it are so strong, it must have just left the room, and it's almost as though if we hurried we could catch it. But we got distracted in this room full of perversities that we're stuck here only with a sickening sensation deep in our stomach. In other words, I can't really tell if this movie was successful at what it was trying to do or not. The back of the DVD box promised "camp", but there's something different going on here.

Basically, this movie fits smack-dab in the middle of Psycho and Peeping Tom conceptually. A sexually frustrated young woman, escaping from her abusive roommate, goes to stay in her aunt's hotel. This hotel is filled with various unsettling characters, including a gay priest, a half-dead alcoholic, and a obsessed photographer. It's a Wonderland without an Alice--and quite literally, a character named Alice is alluded to, a woman who inhabited the hotel but is already dead. Without Alice we're given Cheryl as our protagonist, but herein lies a problem: Cheryl is just about as insane and perverse as the other people in the hotel are, meaning there's very little real sanity to be gleaned from this movie.

Now, there's this whole theory about storytelling that says you can only have a sane person in insane situations or insane person in sane situations, but not both. I'm not too sure I really agree with that philosophy, but this movie makes a good case-study for comparison. The thing is, Cheryl is a believable character by all means--remember that one woman who married the stalker who almost killed her? These things do happen. But she's NOT relatable, and so its hard to really understand what we're supposed to get from this movie. Her relationship with George is disturbing, sure, but to what purpose? And I'm not really getting the point of the transgendered twist.

I think the filmmakers had watched precisely those movies Psycho and Peeping Tom, along with other sexploitation and horror movies of the time, and decided to make their own exploration into sexual anxiety. However, I'm not entirely sure what they were to have discovered and revealed, here. There is, however, the lingering sensation that they were attempting SOMETHING. At any rate, neither am I too sure I want to know what that is, either.

Favorite film of all time. Yep. It is. I can't say enough about it. I first saw it a few years back as a result of me buying it because it looked interesting and weird. After the first time I saw it, I knew that was it. This is truly an awesome film.
Seedy, not sure if you should laugh or be scared or be disturbed or all of the above, very unnerving at times, very interesting at times, very artsy at times, very "real?" at times, sensual, psycho, violent, sexy, mysterious, 42nd street seedy, hotel, very bizarre characters, SHOCKING ending, amazing score.
I am in the process currently of making a documentary on this film and am trying to get into touch with the cast (that's still alive!). If you look them up, you'll see that most of them haven't been acting in a long time. So much mystery surrounds this film. Even the writers haven't written anything since it. And Paul Bartel (director) is now dead.
HERE'S A SECRET ABOUT GETTING THE SCORE: look under Hugo Friedhoffer and it will be a double movie score cd. or you can get it on vinyl used. look for it on amazon too. amazing.

Sex with blow up dolls filled with water(that lead to murder) Fantastico! Young girl lost in life looking for her place leads her to a hotel filled with weirdos,just genius.
Plot: Teenage runaway Cheryl moves out of her best friends place after being caught 'spying' on her friend and boyfriend. She heads for Downtown La to her Aunt Marthas Old Hotel. After talking to her a little she says she can stay but she has to not get too involved with the guests in the hotel. On the way up to her room some good looking guy is standing there who happens to be 'George', for the time being the viewer and Cheryl just know hes a photographer, just one of the tenants yet identity is still kind of unknown,. Soon someone starts leaving weird notes and stories in her room, lingerie, etc .. she goes investigating and from there it just gets weirder and weirder.. it involves a disapearance of a model named 'Alice', George, a blow up doll and blood in a needle 'really odd' part and then the outrageous ending..It could have been somewhat better but overall it was a pretty good movie. The only part i was a little confused and disapointed on was the ending.

This is one of those movies where you wont forget it. The weirdness and the odd imagery is something that will stick in your head. It feels dirty, bleak and just morbid. George's room is something else. The way he tries to interact with women and the way he lets it out is so bizarre youre almost like what the hell was that? I have to say the 'suprise ending' was really a suprise considering the way George looked. Ive never seen something so bizarre. Psycho with a twist. Id give this 3.5-4 stars.
Young runaway, Cheryl seeks refuge in her prudish aunt's highly peculiar San Francisco hotel, and in spite of her aunt's warnings, she soon finds herself swept up in the perversions of it's sorted clientèle.

Though a tad more conventional (and polished), Bartel's work usually fits in comfortably with that of Paul Morrissey and John Water's. I found the quirky nature of Private Parts pretty captivating, and Bartel manages to portray some fairly off-color goings on, which in more mean spirited, or less skilled hands would have been hard to sit through.

You have to hand it to Warner for putting the late Paul Bartel's Private Parts out on DVD (and a nice looking DVD at that). It's by no means a "big" cult favorite, but a pleasantly surprising little cult favorite that might of easily have languished in vault. I don't know what made them choose it, but I'm glad they did.

This was surprisingly entertaining and with a few minor exceptions, very inoffensive family fare. It's another one of those adults-and-kids-can-both-enjoy flicks with a number of lines that border on being too much for kids but are still tame for adults - close, but safe. There are also some funny special effects and some good slapstick humor.

Being basically a kids' film, the main child, played by Eric Lloyd is cute but a little too spoiled for me but he's tolerable, as is his brother. Jason Alexander is the father, a very likable subdued guy but a little too lenient.

The real surprise in this cast is Faye Dunaway. Usually playing hard-edged types, she is the opposite in here which is kind of refreshing to see. She shows a nice comedic touch. The chimpanzee is probably the most entertaining, which is the idea, but so is the villain played by Rupert Evert. In other words, there are a lot of likable characters in this movie.

This a "sleeper:" an underrated film that a lot of people would enjoy. I'm sorry it never got much "press."

Very Fun Movie, Cute boys and an orangutan have a special bond.
Full of laughs and a sweet bond with their father.
My 10 yr old son has this movie&absolutely loved it, so I purchased it for my friend's children for Christmas. They loved it too! My friend was glad to get a movie the whole family could enjoy.
I was suprised that I actually liked this. Ape Dunston! It is warm, fun, and slightly zany, and seems not to take itself too seriously which is a good thing to me.

Oh, and "Lord Rutledge" that is a great freakin' name!
High society gets a dose of monkey business in this family-friendly bit of simian slapstick. Less foul and more fun than Clyde from the Clint Eastwood comedies, Dunston is the practical-joking orangutan partner of foppish jewel thief Rupert Everett. Making his escape in a five-star New York hotel, Dunston lands in the protective care of 10-year-old Eric Lloyd, the high-spirited son of harried hotel manager Jason Alexander, and together they turn the snooty social event of the year into a zoo. Faye Dunaway is Alexander's overbearing boss just aching for a comic comeuppance, and Paul "Pee-wee Herman" Reubens dons a mauve tuxedo as Buck La Farge, animal-control specialist. Would you believe the monkey upstages them all? Though hardly the smartest comedy around, this is a cute, cuddly little barrel full of monkeyshines just made for the younger crowd. I keep it on my bedside table to check my AM resting HR. It's been perfectly accurate. It's great, because it beats wearing a chest strap, or counting while I'm still half asleep. But it's probably not the best choice for exercise - you really have to be perfectly still.
This product is unreliable. I used it one morning and it registered my pulse at 68. I took my pulse again a minute later, without moving from my bed, and it registered at 178. After that I tested it again and again, and the pulse reading wildly flucuated for no reason. I can only assume that it is not really reading your pulse, but is just giving you random numbers.
Pretty much useless for physical activity. You have to be sitting still to get a read.
Works fine. Don't press you finger down too hard or it will give you an error.
No! Do not buy this product. I completely wasted my money on it and it has never consistently worked since the first day I got it.

I bought this to wear around my neck for taking my heart rate during jumproping or spinning. It seemed like a great concept, but it never worked since I opened the package. I cannot return it now, because I should have called Amazon right away, but I made the mistake of putting it in the drawer out of frustration.

I even read the directions with my aerobics instructor, and she could not get it to work. She said she just uses her watch and I looked at her and laughed!

The good old fashioned way of checking our heart rate is the best, and I should have saved my $20.00 instead.

Don't buy this product unless you want to waste your money.

(Avoid Newer Versa Check Versions)

(Versa Check)

Avoid Versa Check. Newer versions have far too many conflicts, starting issues, and unnecessary features. Most financial software products perform the basic check printing services this program offers, so it is not worth bothering with. I uninstalled the product within one week of purchase.I had two earlier versions of Versa Check (2000&2002). Both were great. Not any more. Also, customer service is non-existent, but that seems to be the norm with tech products and software.
As expected, it's quite a different between my prior 2002 version and this one. It's easy to use and has met my reguirements fully.

I was given this same product 10 years ago brand new and loved it. After 10 years, it finally wore out after much use. I had to have another, and it is every bit a great product as the first one I received. I am sure, having had the product before, that this one will last me a good 10 years as well! Excellent product, and would recommend for anyone.
Having used this single flap Buxton wallet for years and enjoying its ease of use, perfect for travel, I was excited to be able to reorder same on internet. Then to my disappointment I find Buxton redesigned and it now lacks features so much needed for organizing. The coin purse on inside front was removed for more creditcard slots. The middle zipper compartment which I used to put extra credit cards, car key,now placed on inside front which is hard to open, not suitable for change and lacks room for anything but small note. Inside pocket is no longer divided for money&receipts. My old Buxton is shabby, but I'll continue to use it.
Excellent travelbag. I do wish the shoulder strap was longer, so it would fall below the waist more on the hip region, but it was an excellent pruduct.
I was a little dissapointed. I got one of these clutches several years ago that I liked better. The inner zip section of this purses zipper pull is hard to get a hold of in the tight confines of it's placement making it difficult to use. On my original clutch this zip section was on the inner back piece which was more convenient with more space for the zipper pull. I was expecting a second section for bills. I got used to being able to separate receipts, coupons and even amounts of money that I miss very much. I like the 6 card slots but prefer the old one with 3 slots and a coin purse on the other side. The zipper section on the back of the purse is great. The shoulder strap on both purses (old and new)is much to long. I have had to shorten them by 13 inches. This clutch is not as organization friendly as the old one. They measure the same but this one is a bit lacking, but it is the closest I can find.
Going out on the town, concert or to a baseball game? Leave that bulky purse at home

The kids love this bank as it automatically counts the $ as you put it in and gives you a total on deposit. However, what we don't like is there is no direct mechanism for reducing the balance when you take the money out. It seems pretty durable, except that the ATM Banks sign at the top looks like it could be broken off fairly easily.
My daughter enjoys her new bank. It teaches her how to use an ATM and helps her to keep an accurate count of her money
My 7 year old daughter couldn't wait for this ATM for Christmas and the buttons don't work. Everytime you walk by the bank it starts buzzing. She tried to "make a deposit" and not one button will work. She cried and doesn't know how Santa can come take it back.
I first bought one of these banks 4 years ago when my son was 4. Unfortunately, he wasn't "into" saving money at that age. Eventually he gave the bank to an older friend (who loved the bank). Now my son is 8 and wanted his old bank back. We bought a new bank and he has learned how to make a deposit and withdrawal from his bank. He knows exactly how much money he has and has learned that money is not a toy. Great learning and savings tool for a child or adult. Careful, the bank will not hold more than a big handful of coin. As my son accrues coins, we tend to swap coin for dollars to place into the bank.
