『Got me the OBD code in much less then what a mechanic would charge, I was able to clear the code using this scanner. Finding the fix on the internet was easy.』

『Got this for a relative who owns a 2002 Toyota Echo.
After a Boston area garage ripped her off for a fuel pump, O2 sensors
etc etc (About $1,000), I read the codes and found out she had a dirty MAS sensor. (The sensor wires were thickly coated with gunk)!
After I cleaned it, the car started running much better (no more stalling) and getting fantastic MPG.. "Just like when it was new".
Cleaning the Echo MAS is a very easy DIY job. Instructions on the web.


Even with a new gas cap, she is still getting the P0440 Evaporative Emission Control System Malfunction, almost every time she gets a fill up.

So, now she can quickly read and re-set the 0440 code and have her car ready for it's yearly state inspection.
(She just has to wait a week after resetting before getting inspected).

I've read that it's very common for the Echo to throw Emission Control System error codes, with 0440 being at the top of the list.

『This product works fine with my "Super Auto Scanner." Quality is excellent, it hooks right up, and never causes any problems. I bought it so I could use my new "Super Scanner" on my old car, and it works great. It also fits nicely in the nylon pouch that came with the scanner. So much nicer that counting flashing lights or watching the analog multimeter pulse back and forth. Definitely a good accessory to have if you work on older model cars.』

The kit was supplied by AutoZone...opened wrappings made it apparent the kit had been previously returned and put back in their supply system. Oh well, I can live without the "new" packaging. My initial concern on getting working parts was dismissed after the cable kit worked as advertised. Adding the cable to my CP9145 really fills (i.e., stuffs) the soft storage case.』

『It's too bad a review of 0 stars is not possible. 1 star, even a half star, is too good a rating for this product. Steer clear of Symantec. I repeat, steer clear of Symantec. As long as people continue to use their garbage products, they will continue to produce garbage for their beta testers, oops sorry, I mean customers. I'd been a Norton user since '98, but I have officially thrown in the towel after too many problems with SystemWorks 2005. To many bugs, install and system resource issues, and headaches in general. Customer support and technical support is non-existent, unless you pay out the ying yang for it. They can be talked into waving the support fee one time only. No matter though. When you call the technical support line or customer support line, you will likely get an agent with a bad attitude, is not knowledgeable of the product, and is barely fluent in English. A bad combination. So, on balance, it's a waste of time. Online support is a joke. The support website search functions are mediocre at best. GOOD LUCK EVEN FINDING A RELEVANT SOLUTION. Email support? Don't attempt it unless you enjoy having your intelligence insulted. I do miss WinDoctor, but oh well, life goes on. I currently use BitDefender Antivirus. I'm still looking for a good set of disk and file utilities to replace the SystemWorks suite. Currently, I am looking at a lengthy session of cleanup for what I will call a dead installation. Really dead. I can't run the apps or repair the installation from the CD. Error pertaining to not having access permissions. Ditto launching the program from the start menu. Symantec related Windows XP services will not start. Can't repair installation from add/remove programs--indicates program has been removed, would I like to remove the listing from add/remove programs. All files and folders present on the hard drive. All this after much ado getting this installation to work in the first place. So, I will have to manually remove Symantec files from the hard drive and manually remove all registry entries, hoping that I have no further serious problems caused by all this hacking. I will have a restore point and the registry backed up. Adios, Au revoir, Auf Wiedersehen, Ciao, Sayonara, Hasta la vista Symantec.』

『Don't buy software you pay good money for only to have it disabled! If I had known this was going to be disabled prematurely, I would have never had bought it.

After getting an error message that the subscription was invalid, I call support and was told the software subscription was up despite the fact that I still 4+ months left on the subscription renewal.

All I asked for for was the entire year subscription I purchased 11/7/2005 and am able to use the product (System Works 2004) until that time. I think that's reasonable, legitimate and legal as there was no agreement that I would have purchased another product to have the registration time applied to the product.

While the software I bought was SystemWorks, I don't think the draconian software policy would differ across products.

Now the product is disabled and EVERY service is disabled as well. That means, no virus scan, no disk doctor--nothing.』

『I purchased this product, having using earlier versions and been completely satisfied. I presntly use Norton Systemworks 2003 and have discarded their 2005 version. Their programs are no longer integrated and each program, in multiple parts, needs to contact Symantec (parent org) with statistical info or what ever it is that your computer is revealing to them? I downloaded a trial version of 2006 Systemworks, think it's nothing more than 2005 with a few more added bugs? Norton Systemworks 2003 was the Symantec's last actual attempt at upgrading their product, save your money and invest in, much cheaper too, I may add, that version.』

『I purchased Systemworks 2005 with some hesitation after reading the reviews. However, I have Systemworks 2003 Professional on my Dell 8200 desktop and 2004 on my Dell 4600 desktop, both work great with never a problem. I bought 2005 for my Inspiron 8600 laptop. Installation was quite easy with no problems. I was not running a previous version of Norton. It certainly is a system hog but that is to be expected for what you are getting. I have been using it now for about a week and no problems at all.』

(Fooled Again)
『I've had home computers since the Timex Sinclair in 1982. The only time I've been forced to reformat my hard drive was a couple years ago after install problems with System Works 2002. I bought 2005 from buy.com because it was $64 with $64 rebates for upgrading. Free but not worth it.

I installed 2005 over 2005 that came installed on a new desktop. The pre-installed version had a virus update subscription that was to expire 12/5/05. After installing from the CD and registering I could not update my virus definitions as my "subscription" had expired instead of being extended 12 months as it should have been.

Now after a few attempts at uninstalling and re-installing, using the advice and programs from Symantec's web site the program is installed but won't run. At times it has seemed to keep unrelated programs from running.

If you do try to install this software be sure to have the backups and recovery points ready.』

『This is a great bag if you use either a walking cart or riding cart on any given day. It has every feature that you need and as always the OGIO quality is hard to beat. After shoulder surgery it was obvious that my days carry a stand bag even with dual shoulder strap system were over, and at 60 I didn't need to carry all that weight. I invested in a Clicgear 2 push cart (which is great, get one) but using my stand bag on the cart wasn't cutting it. I did my research at several retail and pro shops, and liked this bag the best. And like so many of us do, while its nice to touch and feel at a retail store to make our selection choice, I always price things out at Amazon and other on-line vendors. Saved $25 and tax vs the best retail store price and of course free shipping here at Amazon made the choice very easy. I really like the Uniter 15 club top with full length club dividers. When I switch to a riding cart the Uniter top is very easy to switch the orientation of the clubs so my woods are in the back because the top is pretty much equal front to back and in height. I really like having the separate putter tube its very handy and keeps your putter head from banging on your graphite shafts. The wet/dry isolation chamber has a 2 separate pockets inside for your cell phone, wallet or whatever and when you get caught in a downpour its nice to know my skycaddie is in a waterproof area in the bag. The construction of this bag is a wire frame much like a stand bag verses a plastic tube on most cart bags, but it is very sturdy, and makes sense since this bag was designed for both push carts and riding carts. The hydration pocket is just that, an external sleeve that will hold one large or small bottle. The side pockets are roomy on this bag so I usually pack a few bottles of Gatorade and a re-freezable ice pack in a zip lock baggie, stays cold the whole day. The TORQ Strap is great when using a riding cart and the zipper less ball bag is a nice touch. All in all if you are like me, either in a riding cart or using a push cart this is the bag for you.』

    『I hardly rave about any product like I'd rave about this one. It is the best carry bag I've ever had. It is sleek looking, and extremely functional, and on top of all that it is very light weight for easy hauling over 18 holes. I got this one to replace my OGIO Grom bag, which is even bigger than this and equally exceptional, but it was getting to be too heavy as I'm pushing on to the big 5-0!

    It has optimum pocket set-up for carrying just enough and it's easy to grab things from any out of them. There's a water bottle slot, scorecard slot, marker and pencil slots, an outside ball silo for 3 balls and a lot more without being gaudy looking. What's great is the new grab handle on the top of the bag just on the back of the putter well (a very nice feature too) that allows for a very convenient place to grab the bag as it slides off your shoulder to set it down. It's like Titleist or Sun Mountain's, which looked handy to use, but works even better! The top, besides the putter well, also has the coolest thing called the Woode top. It separates the wood shafts into 4 individual compartments (but not with those stupid plastic tubes) and then there are 3 big areas for the irons too.

    It rates about as perfect of a score as any product can. I also have an OGIO Syncro cart bag that has so many of the same features. They are really well made, functional, and sharp looking. I think one would be foolish not to at least look at one before buying another bag. They're excellent!!』

    『I own several of these shirts and they are a mainstay come December and January when temperatures are at their coldest. Made of the heaviest weight wool these shirts are handsome with a rustic charm. When worn over a pair of thermal underwear, I find absolutely no need to add a sweater or other layers when performing outdoor tasks. I have yet to find anything as warm as the Woolrich Original Buffalo Check Wool shirt.

    Beside being warm these shirts wear like iron and are worth their higher price because of their durability. If there is a downside, it is the fact that the weave of the material makes them feel a bit coarse against your skin. It is not really a problem for me, but people with sensitive skin might want to try one to make sure they will be comfortable with the shirt before they spend the $80+ dollars. If you can tolerate the wool and want the warmest shirt money can buy, than look no further than the Woolrich Buffalo Check Wool shirt.』

    『Reality Check is about a teenager named Cody who was the top quarterback at his school and was sure to go to college and his girlfriend, Clea, who was the smartest and prettiest girl in school. There relationship was seemingly perfect until Cody severely injures his knee and Clea is sent to Beijing for the summer taking a huge toll on the once perfect couple. Soon after Clea is home and Cody injures his knee the two split and Clea is sent to one of the top private schools in the country where she is expected to keep her grades and focus. Cody is distraught and soon embarks on a life without meaning where he basically drinks, sleeps, and parties his way through the days of Clea's absence. But after a few months of Clea's leaving he receives an odd letter from Clea telling him how much she misses him and how she wants to see him. Then shortly after receiving the letter he hears the news of her mysterious disappearance. Cody who is still very much in love with her runs off to her private school in Vermont where he is determined to discover the disappearance of his one and only true love. Once in Vermont Cody discovers the mystery of Clea's disappearance all of which has to do with deception, greed, and blackmail. Will Cody find Clea before it is to late or will he have to live his life in misery over the loss of his love? This thriller is not as good and exciting as the plot leads you to believe, confusing and with a somewhat implausible plot it is a little lackluster on the action. As well as a lackluster plot the characters are not examined very well and Clea and Cody's relationship is not looked at deep enough. Definitely not worth buying, I suggest that if you are dieing to read this book wait until it is available at your local library.

    Varsity quarterback Cody Laredo has a difficult time scholastically. He has some real disadvantages, being that his mom died some years ago, and he shares a small, grungy apartment with his hard-drinking, uneducated, unloving father. Fortunately, Cody has a great thing going with Clea, the smartest, richest, hottest, horseback-ridingest girl at County High, in Little Bend, Colorado, just east of the Rockies.

    But when, at the end of their sophomore year, Cody is joyful about the D- in English -- it is, after all, good enough for him to be able to play football in the fall -- Clea is totally freaked over her B in calculus. She knows that she'll pay a heavy price for anything less than an A. And she does.

    While Cody spends the summer helping make deliveries for the local lumber yard, Clea's powerful businessman father ships her off to her uncle's home in Hong Kong, and then enrolls her in a Vermont boarding school for the fall. Cody tries to do what he thinks is the right thing by ending his relationship with Clea. Then, at the very end of the first football game of the season, a moment after Cody has pulled out a one-point come-from-behind win, a very dirty and very late hit on his knee results in a devastating, season-ending ACL injury that requires surgery, pain pills, and rehabilitation.

    With no girlfriend, no support, and no football, Cody quickly falls behind and then completely gives up on school. Even a return to work for the lumber yard quickly sours...and then Cody sees a story on the front page of the newspaper that Clea has disappeared in the woods near her boarding school. Her horse, Bud, returned to the campus barn without her.

    After a sleepless night, and a terrible day of work, Cody comes home to find a somewhat cryptic letter from Clea that was mailed the same day she disappeared. Packing a snack and some clothes, withdrawing what he can from the ATM, Cody aims his truck toward Vermont.

    There are so many teens who love great thriller/mystery stories -- or would if they were lucky enough to find one. Peter Abrahams has crafted a first-rate page-turning thriller and mystery for young adults. Danger, disappearance, and star-crossed lovers make REALITY CHECK a perfect summer read.

    『Cody and Clea are opposites. She's smart and rich. He isn't. He decides that he is holding her back from everything she could be, so he breaks it off with her. But he still loves her. Clea's dad never liked Cody and has decided to send her away to boarding school to finish her high school education. Clea moves across the country to Vermont to attend Dover. Then she disappears. It's in all the papers. And Cody knows that something must be going on so he packs up and heads to Vermont. Hoping that he's not too late.

    May I just say I loved this book. I fell in love with Cody myself. His self-deprecating manner, his determination and persistence. It was hard to tell who was on his side and who was against him.

    "It's hard to know who to trust sometimes." (91)

    This theme runs throughout the book and just when you think you've figured out the good guys, Abrahams gives you a little more rope. I thought the story moved quickly and kept me involved and guessing.

    Abrahams did a great job of giving Cody a voice. I knew what he sounded like and his going to Vermont made sense with the way the story had been setup.』

He's just finished his sophomore year of high school - his first as the starting varsity quarterback - and he eked out passing grades in all of his classes, so he'll be academically eligible to play next season. And next season is the key, as far as getting recruited by a D-1 college football program is concerned. For the summer, Cody's lined up a good job, one that pays better than minimum wage. Best of all, of course, is Clea - his smart, funny, beautiful girlfriend.

    So there's Cody on the top of the world and then suddenly, he's not. Angry because she received her first `B' on a report card ever, Clea's father sends her to Hong Kong for the summer and then off to boarding school in the fall, leaving Cody alone and feeling as if he's been gut-punched. Then, at the very beginning of the football season, Cody takes a late hit and suffers a torn ACL. End of season, maybe end of football career, definitely end of chances for a good scholarship.

If the novel has a fault, it's that the story's conclusion feels slightly rushed, a little abrupt, so readers will probably be clamoring for more stories starring Cody and featuring the seemingly star-crossed lovers from different sides of the tracks.

    『Have worn Acorn slippers for years; they last and last! Comfy, sturdy, warm and easy to wash. We've noticed the fit has gotten a little smaller, now that they are made in China. Two things we would like--better sizing, sized in narrow and wide, as well as, individual sizes, not multi-sized AND even though they are cushioned, more would be better, with a little arch support. We like the tex moc and polar moc styles the best. Don't ever want to be without them! We love them!』

    『I got these slippers two months ago, after reading lots of reviews on Amazon, and they have worked out really well: comfortable and warm (but not too warm). Comments here warned that the sizes run big, so I followed the advice of ordering the Medium for my 10 1/2 feet. At first the slippers seemed too small, as my big toe was right up against the tip, but after a few days of wearing them they had stretched out enough that they now seem just right; the Large size would almost certainly have been too loose. At first I had to reach down to slip them on, but now find that they're just loose enough that I can scrunch them on with my toes. For bitterly cold weather I'll probably want to wear a pair of socks with them, but for ordinary cold mornings, they are just right.』

    『I found this cd to be quite bland with only one song"Like I Do"standing out. As has been the case with the last few Bo Deans albums it doesn't have anything distinctive enough to recommend. It is a bit of a departure from the Bo Deans but not much. Sadly I think they have run their course creatively. Stick with Love&Hope or Outside Looking In and remember their glory days.』

I bought this CD when it was on Kurt's own label. Now, I plan to get the recently released version on Oarfin records. There isn't a bad song on Shy Dog. Kurt sings like an angel. The song"Hopes"is the best song I think I've ever heard.』

    『I love all reggae and believe Peter Tosh was the greatest artist of all time. However, this has to be my favorite album, same militancy and social consciousness that Tosh was known for with thumping base and Earl"China"Smith (of the wailers) ripping the guitar up. Every reggae fan - dub or not - should check this one out, it is definitely worth it.』

    (Great dub poetry)
    『Mutabaruka's `Check it!' is a great album within `dub poetry'. Dub poetry is a sort of subgenre of reggae, whereby poetry is `toasted' (half-talked, or `musically talked': often (sometimes partly) in Jamaican patois) over reggae music, with mostly a strong bass.
    To my opinion Mutabaruka reaches great heights with this 1983 album within this dub poetry reggae.
    The conscious, interesting lyrics, are combined with great, groovy `rockers' reggae. Mutabaruka's toasting is creative and varied: it's not monotonous.
    The lyrics cover a lot of social themes, such as the system, violence, Jamaican society, living in the ghetto, Africa, Angola and Jamaican emigrants.

    Lyrically it's strong: already from the start, in the intro, when Mutabaruka explains why he cannot write about lovers in the park - because "when you sit down late ina de park at night man come an' shoot you an' take your woman and rape her" and also can't write about flowers with all the "pollution".     And so he does, and he does it great with conscious content and interesting rhyming. All this also on great music with a prominent bass and drums and nice keyboards, guitar and other instruments.
    "De system" and "Everytime A ear de sound" are groovy. The same counts for "Witeman country" and other songs.
    Somewhat slower, with a somewhat distinct music (including a bongo), but not less interesting is "Whey mi belang", about the African roots of black "West Indians". "Angola invasion" is also groovy and creative, and includes quotes of Marcus Garvey and Emperor Haile Selassie I.
    Creativity in lyrics is also found in a song like "Hard time loving" (with a nice, somewhat mellow feel), and "Butta pan kulcha", about trying to be free from misery in the society.

    Their music is authentic. They are the genuine artical. They are some of the hardest working musicians you'll find anywhere. They love what they do. This album is brilliantly produced. The sound is incredible. While I am a much bigger SKA fan than a reggae fan, JBB has inspired me to listen to more reggae -

    I have no problem with the way that Kevin Kinsella tunes his voice... he's been tuning it this way since he started singing. It works. If his "authentic" Jamaican friends and fans don't have an issue with it, then neither should his bourgeois fans from the North East.

    『I bought Pressure Points some months ago when my buddy got back from Camp Bisco where JBB had a set. He knew I'd really like them because of my love for reggae. Needless to say, I was hooked immediately and extremely interested in who John Brown's Body was and where their music has been, slipping by me somehow. After seeing them live and buying All Time at the show, my respect for them grew even more because at that point I owned only their first and latest albums, both being great and yet extremely different. Within a few weeks I needed another album and for whatever reason I chose Spirits All Around Us. THIS CD BLOWS ME AWAY.

    Just as an overall scope of it, there is so much diversity and originality. It's roots reggae, it's hip-hop, it's jazz, it's pop-rock, it's ska, and it's all really really good music. Deep bass lines accented by weaving horn fills and vocal melodies that keep you on your toes wanting more and questioning, "How'd they put this all together?" No doubt this is one of my favorite studio albums I've ever owned and I constantly play it for friends who are floored and happy to hear something fresh and feel-good.

    『My cholesterol was 288, so I made changes in my diet and started to monitor it dropping using this test every 3 months for an entire year- I watched my cholesterol drop to 220, then 200, then 180, then 140. Wow, I was really impressed until I read the reviews here that this test is inaccurate so I decided to go back to my doctor to be rechecked. Well, my actual cholesterol is 225, nearly 90 points higher than this test is saying! My advice would be don't buy this test or you may be fooling yourself into a false sense of security.』

    『Bottom line: don't waste your time and money.

    The instructions require you to squeeze at least 5-6 drops out of your finger. Even before I stabbed myself, I couldn't believe that that was even possible. After two tries, I have decided that it really cannot be done.

    Reading the result is somewhat of a guessing game because after the blood has soaked into the test strip, it says to "Read the scale on the test by finding the very tip of the blue or purple colored line, regardless of how faint the line may be." Granted, it doesn't seem to matter too much if you're off by a few lines in your reading because at least it will put you in the right ballpark. This is assuming that the test is accurate to begin with, which is something that the other reviewers seem to have evidence against.

    I haven't gotten a real cholesterol test before so I don't know how accurate this is. My result came back in the "desirable" level so we will see if this was anywhere close to accurate once I get a real test. Keep in mind though that I was unable to follow the instructions to the letter because I simply could not get enough blood to get to the "fill level" of the blood well.

    If you bought this at the store and haven't opened it yet, I highly suggest returning it. I certainly wish I had come here before I opened the box.』

    『I absolutely LOVE this case! I recently purchased a Samsung NC10 Netbook. While driving one day I set the netbook on my dashboard. I took a right turn with the driver's side window down and the computer ended up on the road. That was about the moment I realized it was time to get a case. I looked at a lot of different cases and decided on this one. It had a crazy amount of cushion and the price was very reasonable, plus I liked the style better than any other cases I had seen (I'm big on checkers). One of the added benefits to this case that I didn't anticipate is that it looks almost like a bible case. It is about the size of a text book and when someone asks to use my computer and I hand them the case they usually look at me like "why did you hand me a bible?" which in some way disguises it so that people don't know that you're carrying a $400 computer, they think it's just a book in a case. I use the pouch one the side to carry my charger and cables, it makes it a little more bulky, but if I didn't have the pouch I would forget my charger EVERY time.』

    (Good but a little cramped)
    『I purchased this case for my ASUS Eee 1000HE netbook and Logitech V470 Bluetooth mouse. I'm satisfied by its construction quality but don't love the styling (though I'm not deducting any points for styling since the pictures do a reasonable job of presenting the product). The reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is that it is a struggle closing the case and the pouch when bringing along anything other than the netbook and A/C adapter. A slightly bigger case would better fulfill the potential of an external pouch. (With a little brute force and creative arranging I have been able to fit those items along with a bluetooth mouse and a small USB corded phone for use with Skype. Perhaps the case will expand slightly with use?) Overall, this case delivers on its promise at a fair price. Just be aware that it might be a tight fit if you want to use this case to transport any accessories besides your A/C adapter.』
