This is perfect for my clothing embellishment business, in which I use ribbons.I have tried so many types,and this is by far the best out there.
Stop ribbons or fabrics from Fraying with Dritz Fray check. Fray Check will not discolor or stain most fabrics. Always test on an inconspicuous seam to be sure. Place a piece of cardboard between area being treated and other fabric layers. Gently squeeze bottle and apply very small amount of Fray Check. Allow to dry for 15 - 30 minutes and stop those fraying ends!

I love all reggae and believe Peter Tosh was the greatest artist of all time. However, this has to be my favorite album, same militancy and social consciousness that Tosh was known for with thumping base and Earl"China"Smith (of the wailers) ripping the guitar up. Every reggae fan - dub or not - should check this one out, it is definitely worth it.
Mutabaruka's `Check it!' is a great album within `dub poetry'. Dub poetry is a sort of subgenre of reggae, whereby poetry is `toasted' (half-talked, or `musically talked': often (sometimes partly) in Jamaican patois) over reggae music, with mostly a strong bass.
To my opinion Mutabaruka reaches great heights with this 1983 album within this dub poetry reggae.
The conscious, interesting lyrics, are combined with great, groovy `rockers' reggae. Mutabaruka's toasting is creative and varied: it's not monotonous.
The lyrics cover a lot of social themes, such as the system, violence, Jamaican society, living in the ghetto, Africa, Angola and Jamaican emigrants.

Lyrically it's strong: already from the start, in the intro, when Mutabaruka explains why he cannot write about lovers in the park - because "when you sit down late ina de park at night man come an' shoot you an' take your woman and rape her" and also can't write about flowers with all the "pollution". Elaborating then: "right now de reality out deh different. You ave fe write about South Africa, di youths ina de ghetto, you ave fe write about di Inglan. You ave fe write about all these things".
And so he does, and he does it great with conscious content and interesting rhyming. All this also on great music with a prominent bass and drums and nice keyboards, guitar and other instruments.
"De system" and "Everytime A ear de sound" are groovy. The same counts for "Witeman country" and other songs.
Somewhat slower, with a somewhat distinct music (including a bongo), but not less interesting is "Whey mi belang", about the African roots of black "West Indians". "Angola invasion" is also groovy and creative, and includes quotes of Marcus Garvey and Emperor Haile Selassie I.
Creativity in lyrics is also found in a song like "Hard time loving" (with a nice, somewhat mellow feel), and "Butta pan kulcha", about trying to be free from misery in the society.

Recommendable.
The Jamaican experience is captured in the lyrics of this CD. Don't miss out. THIS CD IS FABULOUS.

I love this song, and the video, and heck ... I love the Beastie Boys. I purchased this CD for my private collection as well as my DJ collection and play it fairly frequently in clubs and bars.

One thing I wasn't ready for was the lyrics that you don't hear during radio play. One of the first times I played this CD after receiving it was during an instuctional DJ class that I was giving to a bunch of kids. Obviously, you don't hear any cursing on the radio play version of the song, but, there's plenty on the album version which I wasn't expecting when I dropped the disc into my CD turntables for a bunch of kids. It got a good laugh watching me try to cover it up ... parents were not so amused though.

Well, if you have seen one Y&D movie, you know what's up. Part five follows the typical, but highly enjoyable formula. Happy build-up, everything seems peachy, a major tragedy through betrayal and death, and the always very drawn-out and perversely enjoyable payback scene.

Okay. To me, part four and five were both running a bit low on gas, but they are still a given buy if you liked the other movies. And I also strongly recommend watching it, only to understand part six better (whenever it comes out in West), which is in my eyes a much better movie than it's predecessors, both when it comes to plot, directing and cameography.

But you probably already know this, if you've seen one of the movies, and enjoyed it and found the characters likable and interesting, you'll watch this movie anyway.

Paul Chek has consistently been shown up in the area of science. His over-reliance on swiss balls and "core stability" exercises are amusing. This book is good for people who teach classes for non-athletes looking for a bit of challenging fun, and circus performers.
I have bought the entire Paul Check physio-ball video series. I also have videos from other instructors and Paul's are by far the best. He knows the body so well and explains how and why to do things so you can understand. I feel scientifically grounded in my knowledge. I teach a weekly class on the physio-ball and have incorporated everything I learned from this and the first video (Exercises for Abs and Buns). Be ready for a challenging workout!

Paul Chek has come up with some devilish balancing and strength exercises for this tape, and he gleefully puts you through the ringer. I like this tape quite well as a supplement to my Yoga practice, which I find gives me a better overall sense of core power and fitness, but nevertheless the Swiss ball exercises work your body in some very unique and helpful ways. More core power and balance means you can channel release your body's energy with greater focus and intensity.
Paul Chek has come up with some devilish balancing and strength exercises for this tape, and he gleefully puts you through the ringer. I like this tape quite well as a supplement to my Yoga practice, which I find gives me a better overall sense of core power and fitness, but nevertheless the Swiss ball exercises work your body in some very unique and helpful ways. More core power and balance means you can lay out more satisfying [booty]-whipping on the field or in the ring!
Paul Chek's Swiss Exercise video for Athlete's Part 2 is a content-rich walk through high-level exercises on this training device. My hope was to obtain a video which would be a good demonstration of techniques which were new to me or for new variations of standard physioball(swiss ball) activities. For this, I should have stayed with the first part of the video with the same title. No significantly new activities were shown in Part 2 which were not in Part 1. This being said, my bias is that I do have some familiarity with Mr. Chek and his teachings. Those unfamiliar with him and his methods should be pleasantly suprised at the variation of effective training possible. Finally, I enjoyed the backgrounds and the ability of the demonstrators, but the camera crew should have been more cognizant and remained out of view of each other. An otherwise professionally created video appears of lower quality from that alone.

The Actron p-9185 worked good when I first received it. But it always showed a low battery reading. The device came with an usb cable to do updates. When I tried to do the update with the software they provided with the device it went blank and would not turn on anymore. Now it is in the repair-shop to be fixed with the only explanation that my anti-virus may have caused this problem. With unsuccessful e-mails and phone calls to the repair shop I finally found out that they were three weeks behind in repairs. I still don't know when I'm getting it back.
This is the best to come yet! I'm selling my Actronscanner CP9145 to a mechanic . With this Upgrade you'll earn the title as a techician. The Actron CP9185 has reached far beyond my expectations. I used it today for the first time, considering I was curious about the back lit display.
Pior to operating the scan tool I download the firmware update. I didn't see the back lit display when powering on. Only to view a normal display similar my Actron CP9145. Now don't get me wrong, this was a great investment&still is . However, the CP9185 Elite superceeds all earlier Actron scanners to my view. With all the features O2 monitors, temp. reading&graphing data, etc. What more can one ask for? For those that can't make the repairs themselve, knowing whats the problems are intimidates auto repair shops. I gave it a 5 star because its easy to operate, the codes are strait forward. Now remember this the CD is a must have that is included with a New CP9185 Autoscanner. I attempted to purchase one on ebay, I did'nt win the bid. Only later to know that the CD was not included. Without that no upgrade is considered&the manual is included on the CD. In conclusion, all I'm saying is simply this a must have Autoscanner. The name Elite is what it is.
Only had this for a day so I have not explored all options, but I've used Actron scanners for years now - they are awesome for weekend warriors. They don't have all of the functionality of the Snap-On, Matco and OEM scanners - but Actron's scanners are fast, simple and reliable. Perfect for those of us that need a scanner but can't justify spending $1500-$15,000 on the high end stuff.

I've used the full gambit of scanners, and these little orange things do about 80% of what the big boys do, for a fraction of the price.

Keep in mind that no scanner will fix the car for you, if you really don't know your way around modern electronic controls and automotive service, this will not help you.
The CP9185 works exactly as expected with one exception. It does accurately provide the diagnostic codes for trouble-shooting and will clear (turn-off) the "Repair Soon" light if you wish. It seems to have an extensive built-in database that allows it to recognize most vehicles - both domestic and imported. The operation of the unit is straight-forward and simple. However, the internal database on the unit I received contains data only through model year 2002. Vehicles manufactured after that date would have required an update to the built-in database. Updating over the internet is one of the features that attracted me to this unit. The problem occured when I tried to install the PC drivers that would allow the unit to communicate with my computer - something that is necessary to perform an on-line update. The drivers provided with the unit simply would not work - i.e., the PC would not recognize the drivers on the supplied CD as valid drivers for my CP9185. I am very familiar with computers and installing drivers for a unit like this is straight forward. I contacted technical support (in fact I spoke with them about 4 times) to try to work through the problem. Technical support personnel were friendly and responsive - I have only the highest praise for them - but they were unable to solve the problem. They finally told me that it appeared the CP9185 itself was defective in that it was probably identifying itself incorrectly to the PC - even though the unit appeared to work fine in every other respect. I have shipped the unit back for repair (my expense) and am told it will take 4-6 weeks for repairs to be completed. If it had not been for this problem, I would have rated the CP9185 as a full 5 stars. If and when the unit is returned to me in working order, I will update this review.
Bought the CP9185 Autoscanner. Pluged it into my 2001 Tacoma and read the codes. Looked up what to do to repair the codes. Did it and then reread the codes and they were gone. Great tool to let you know what is going on with your vehicle. Gives you a chance to fix things your self, saving you big bucks. Haven't had the scanner real long and do not know how to use all the features yet, but would recommend it to anyone wanting to know what their codes are. It was very easy to use. You have to have a computer so you can print out the operations manual.

My wife has had the check engine light continuously on in her Honda Accord for the last 6 months. I didn't take quick action because the engine sounded fine and there has been no drop in performance. Recently, the check engine light came on in my Toyota 4Runner. Since we now have this problem in both of our vehicles, I decided it was time to buy a vehicle On-Board Diagnostic (OBD) scanner. We decided to go this route because we heard many auto repair shops charge anywhere from $50-$100 to perform a vehicle diagnostic scan.

I researched several ODB scanning solutions, and decided I wanted a tool that had a lot of flexibility and was very easy-to-use. Specifically, I was looking for a solution that I could connect to my notebook computer and operate it from a Graphical User Interface (GUI) from the notebook. I also wanted the capability to be able to capture diagnostic trend data and be able to analyze it in other software tools.

I ended up choosing the ElmScan 5 USB Scan tool and have been very pleased with this purchase. First of all ScanTool.net (the seller) shipped my item in less than 24 after receiving my order. The item arrived within a few days, was well packaged, and came with decent installation instructions. It only took me about a total 10 minutes to get the ElmScan working and providing me with error code "P0401: Insufficient flow in the Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) system. I "Googled" step-by-step instructions on how to resolve the problem, and it appears to be now corrected. I didn't get the opportunity to use this device on my 4Runner because its "Check Engine" light went out. NOTE: the 4Runner's problem was probably a loose gas cap, which I learned was a common problem from a Google query.

Another great feature of the ElmScan 5 is it can be used with lots of 3rd-party vehicle diagnostic software as well as G-Net Gigital dashboard, which is a solution for those who want to install a high-end touch-screen PC/Navigation system into their vehicle.

If you decide to purchase this product, make sure it's the model that supports the Universal Serial Bus (USB). Virtually all notebook computers have USB ports, but few have the legacy COM ports.

A great device that does everything, (and more) than most hand held readers costing at least 3 time the $100 bucks that this ScanTool costs.

It works with just about any computer, use a laptop with the supplied cable and even your desktop computer can be used if the car is within about 10 feet of the computer.

Very quick and easy setup with the supplied install CD. You don't have to be a computer expert to read and clear any error code. You can see all of the vehicle's sensors in a easy to understand screen. Third party software is available that will give some really impressive gauge panels and performance data.

I've bought this tool a three weeks ago, and this tool (Elmscan 5 serial) has just proven to be such a amazing tool for the its price. With free software, I can do read OBDII trouble codes with ease and erase them. So far using this tool i've helped diagnose problems several old and new cars. Using live sensor data, I've been able to determine that my O2 sensor needs replacing, even though the check engine light is on. I can see so much potential in this as well, using the live data that this tool can provide I can use it toward performance tuning, for instance to monitor air/fuel mix, air flow rate, coolant temp etc.

I use this Elmscan 5 tool with my laptop and Sony Clie PDA, and I love this tool for what it can do for me and others (helping friends and family fix their cars). At the price it is sold, its a real bargin, because I have not found a PC based (or PDA) tool that can perform such functions and be flexible enough for all OBDII protocols at this price.

This is an excellent tool for those who have to deal with cables with different interfaces at work. It is a time saving tool.
It is a great product and worth every cent. It has made my efficiency on troubleshooting cables and connectors incredible. It is very simple and accurate.

I wish it had connectors for the flat Molex 6&8 pin styles as well.
The only other modification that I could think of would be to be able to selectively jumper the goes-intas to the goes-outas. Otherwise, it works great for testing conductivity of cables.

An impressive author with another impressive book. But Groomology is still my favorite of the "Essany collector's set" :)
This book is barely about the business of producing reality TV. Other than an interview with Survivor producer Mark Burnett, I found little helpful information. The book is mostly about Michael's experience being in a failed reality show. It observes other styles of reality shows as one who would watch them and comment on them, but is almost totally void of any industry information.

Focal books are usually the standard for detailed industry information -- this book is not in that category, it is a personal diary, and not a insiders guide to the business of producing reality TV.
I am new to the reality industry....However after reading this book I am more prepared now than ever before to go out and do what I need to do to break into the reality business. Thank you Mr Essany for all of your knowledge!

I teach an independent radio/television production course and will probably assign Reality Check to my students. There are few practical books in this area, and I was overjoyed to find something so comprehensive and helpful.

I bought this book to understand better the modern age in the hotel industry. I run a small hotel in Greece with my family and now we are building a new more up to date one. This book helped me to understand the hotel industry as a whole and the way it is changing. It covers with detail many issues, from GDS to bed making. There are hundrends of examples that make it easy to understand what is being discused. It is abstract at the beginning of every chapter and becomes more practical (how to do things) further on.
Although the books draws most cases and examples from big properties, I found it very helpful and discovered many ways to improve the service we offer in our small hotel.

It is one of the books that I will keep for reference and the best I have read so far, among those that try to cover almost every aspect of running a hotel. I can not think of someone in the hotel bussines who would not find this book intresting and worth reading.

This series is probably the best--it lives in the job site bag...it is well-organized with good graphic organization, up-to-date, and a fairly comprehensive code reference; naturally, the content isn't completely exhaustive, but it does an excellent job of presenting the most useful code compliance information all in one convenient package.
GREAT BOOK , A MUST HAVE FOR THE CONTRACTOR AND REMODELER . DOVETAILS WELL WITH THE IRC .
Are you a contractor or work in (or with) the trades? I rehab old houses and find this guide without peer. While not for the do-it-yourselfer (it's definitely not a how-to book, it strictly presents the salient aspects of the often confusing and opaque residential building codes), it's a quick reminder and update on codes applicable to electrical, plumbing, heating, and general construction. It covers mutltiple major codes. I've found the individual guides essential and this work combines them in a handy, fits in your portfolio size. Very useful for those who work in the trades, or deal with contractors, as I do.

If you work in residential construction work in some way, buy this book. Considering the price of the usual codebooks or even the books explaining the codes, this book is also a bargain.

This booklet provides a fine checklist for reviewing your own designs or doing home inspections. This checklist is not intended to be a replacement for your building code books. You still need to have a firm understanding of the codes. Code Check does serve as good 'tickler' on thoses codes that you do not refer to regularly and helps make sure that you don't overlook something.

I've played only 3 times using the balls marked with the Check-GO. I played very well the first time, scoring lower than I had in months.
