『bought them for my 3 1/2 yr old grand children for Christmas and they absolutely love them. Shipment arrived promptly. They are easy to inflate and deflate. My son takes them with them everywhere they go. The only drawback is if you are in the same room with the kids, the beds make noise if the kids toss and turn a lot.』

Now that there are more grandkids than guest beds, they have to take turns sleeping on it. Everyone wants to sleep on the "blow-up bed" - but they have to obey the 'no jumping' rule. The soft cover is great and everything washes up easily if little ones have an accident. Between visits, it takes very little space on a closet shelf.』

『This is a great bed. I got it for my 2 almost 3 year old boy. I even checked it in at the airport and it's not charged because it's like a "crib". My son is potty trained but he did have an accident. The top cover lets the "liquid" pass through, and it seems to remain dry on the surface. I put a water proof mattress pad (the sheet kind, like from Walmart) under the cover and that helped with the clean up. My son stayed in the bed - no problems with him rolling out. He loves it. I love it. If you are considering a travel bed - search no more.』

『I got this for cooking steaks but I use it just about any time I am cooking meat. Only problem is it takes maybe 30 seconds for the gauge to climb to the temperature』

Compared to my CD of the solid, direct Beaux Arts Trio, and remembrances of the scholarly but energetic Stern-Istomin-Rose group, the classical superstars of this new album perform the Mendelssohn works with emphasis on grace and joy. The sweet and lyrical Op. 49, comes off smoothly but without inner depth; the more serious, classical Op. 66 offers thought and emotional gravitas. Perlman and Ma were mentored by Stern and both play with lightness and fluidity. There is no roughness or edginess to their sound; thus, their approach is fitting for the early romantic Mendelssohn. Do not expect a wide range of temperments; these compositions are andante and allegro, but the final two movements of the second trio are vigorous and bright. I wonder if this senior trio will go on to other issues of, for example, the Schubert, Schumann, and Dvorak trios. Or perhaps they will venture to contempory trios. I am pleased with this particular recording and recommend these light, popular pieces for those whose interest in chamber work is still developing.

『This is a very elegant album. It is classical chamber music that doesn't disappoint the deepest part of your heart or brain. Honestly I am not familiar with Ax or Perlman, but Yo Yo Ma is a favorite of mine. I do favor a more contemporary flare, but this music stands on its own. The pieces flow easily from one to another and there are no deep shifts from one piece to another. I love the three instruments together. These three dance together and flirt in a wonderful singsong CD. This cd is full of just beautiful music! This comes highly recommended to the classical fan.』

『This album to commemorate Mendelssohn's bicentennial has shown up a little past 2009, but it's a welcome return to chamber music by three stars in the classical world. Of the major labels, Sony BMG seems to have given up on chamber music almost completely. Thank goodness we have an archive of recordings from the era when Yo-Yo Ma and Isaac Stern, often in the company of Emanuel Ax, produced an outpouring of Brahms CDs that remain the best modern renditions. Perlman has made fewer appearances in chamber music since his early days but is, of course, accomplished in his own right.

Here they compete with the ghost of Stern, whose all but definitive account of the two Mendelssohn Piano Trios with partners Leonard Rose and Eugene Istomin derives from an even earlier era of recordings. As befits their gray hair, these new recordings are seasoned and relaxed. The whirlwind Scherzo in Trio no. 1 won't stir up any dust; the opening Molto allergro e agitato is far from being either very fast or agitated. Is it right to turn the finale, marked "very fast" and "passionate," into something more civilized? The same experienced, suave restraint hovers over Trio no. 2 as well. Comparisons with Istomin-Stern-Rose or the trio led by Julia Fischer, not to mention the ultra energized Martha Argerich and Friends, reveal how this music sounds when played with more vitality. On the other hand, there's no denying that the playing here bespeaks Cadillac musicianship, even if it rarely gets out of first gear』

『Who would have thought? To me, they sound like a group that should have come from Louisiana or Southern Mississippi because of their deep Delta bluesy swamp rock sound.

This CD could have been improved just a little better. I see that they gave us the whole version of "I've Heard It Through The Grapevine", but I really missed having the full version of "Suzie Q" as I've always known it. I've never heard it cut short like it was here, and there is no excuse for it. It would have fit on this CD, in addition, to having even one more bonus track, like "Born on a Bayou" or "Midnight Special".

Oh well, I guess I'll just take what they give us and collect my own perceived shortcomings and make my own second Chronicles CD. The second Chronicles CD that they released, well, I could laugh. The second half of "Suzie Q?" What a joke! I'll make my own 2 disc "Best of Creedance Clearwater Revival" because I do need "Ramble Tamble", "Keep on Chooglin'", and even, the two other tracks that I just mentioned, plus there are other great tracks. Hell, I could even make a second collection that includes John Fogerty's "Rock and Roll Girls", "Centerfold", and "The Old Man Down the Road" from 1984. It's so easy to make a second CD of CCR to complement this release of Chronicles. So, thanks for the effort anyway.』

『They should have left out tracks #7, 15, 19, and included a major hit, Born On The Bayou, and a couple of other of CCR's big hits that should be here. But apparently the plan was to sell a follow-up album, Chronicle #2, along with it's share of filler tracks. This one is still worthy of 5-stars.』

『It was 1961, and if not exactly a palindrome, it was an unusual year that read the same way upside down. After a solid run of 10 Disney animated features beginning in 1937 with Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs and continuing through 1959's Sleeping Beauty, change was in the air. It was the dawning of the Age of Aquarius, the sixties were upon us, and prophetically, as if foreshadowing the British Invasion, we have One Hundred and One Dalmatians patriarch Pongo relating this chronicle:

Pongo: My story begins in London, not so very long ago. And yet so much has happened since then, that it seems more like an eternity.

The art style was different, and the characters and location were more modern and contemporary. The backgrounds were stylized line illustrations, charming in their own way, but drawings rather than paintings. Compare the opening sequence of Pinocchio to the similar scene of London in 101 Dalmatians. The Afghan owner, a woman artist in a beret, who almost looks like she could be a beatnik, might have drawn 101's urban backgrounds.

Funny thing, though Pongo's owner Roger is a struggling songwriter, there are only two songs in the film, "Cruella De Vil" and the inconsequential "Dalmatian Plantation." Previous Disney efforts were more like Broadway or MGM musicals. Lady and the Tramp, for instance, had the venerable Miss Peggy Lee providing several spectacular songs throughout. Ukulele Ike provided "When You Wish Upon a Star" for 1940's Pinocchio, and "Someday My Prince Will Come" was even covered by Miles Davis and is a firmly established jazz waltz standard.

Though 101 Dalmatians had some big shoes to fill--or chew on, after more than 20 years, you can't exactly blame Disney for trying something new. Taken on its own terms, it is a perfectly delightful film with plenty of the Disney patented heart warming moments, colorful characters, and memorable villains. I was wondering why Cruella spelled her name De Vil instead of like Coupe De Ville, but then I realized that if you lose the space, you get devil, and Cruella is certainly a devil of a villainess. Martha, Paris, Imelda, Leona... What do they know?

Then there are Cruella's henchmen, Horace and Jasper, who aren't above cloaking their misdeeds with a counterfeit governmental stamp of approval:

Sometimes it almost seems like Disney will take the modern approach too far:

Can a 'wardrobe malfunction' be far behind? Fortunately, the soot washes right off, and the Dalmatians, or Disney, haven't changed their spots at all.

One unintended consequence of this movie was that it made the Dalmatian breed look so cute that every time it is re-released kids inevitably talk their parents into getting one of the little rascals only to find that in real life Dalmatians are high energy/high maintenance dogs that most families are ill prepared to deal with.

For the filmmakers, the challenge of 101 Dalmatians is only that it was difficult to give them all unique personalities. The runt of the litter, named Lucky, stands out, as do Patch, with his eye patch markings, and Rolly, with his insatiable appetite; but who can really tell Penny, Pepper, and Cadpig apart? Even the proud parents Pongo and Perdita have trouble.

Bottom line is The Hundred and One Dalmatians is something a little different from previous Disney films, but is nonetheless a very entertaining film that can be enjoyed by the whole family. Even my three dogs, Dusty, Delilah, and Miles enjoyed it. Three paws up; and a bark, two yips, plus one very enthusiastic group howl.

『Based upon Dodie Smith's excellent novel The Hundred And One Dalmatians (see my review), this is the story of Pongo and Perdita, a married couple of Dalmatians in London, and their quest for their 15 kidnapped puppies. Though it misses quite a few of the subtleties of the book (which is why I only rate it at four stars), it's still a delightful animal film--one, indeed, of Disney's best--with a large cast of very individual creatures (and humans, such as "my old pet," songwriter Roger Radclyffe, his bride Anita, Nanny (who's "almost canine at times"), and, of course, the over-the-top Cruella deVille and her henchmen Jasper and Horace Baddun). More overtly humorous than Smith's work (doubtless as a bow to the less subtle American sense of what's funny), it's still full of laughs, action, and suspense, and is a film I rewatch regularly. Highly recommended.』

(Great for Kids, Fun Viewing)

『This is the first in the "Toy Story" franchise (1995) and the first film animated solely by computer. It establishes a family of toys owned by a boy named Andy who plays rough with his toys and writes his name on his favorites. This is really an action flick with toys rather than people being the superheroes engaged in intrepid rescues.
The toys fear birthdays and Christmases because Andy may get a new toy as a present; this new one may win him over, and some of his older ones may end up in a dumpster or out at a yard sale.
The leader of the toy family is Woody (Tom Hanks), a cowboy puppet who plays some electric sounds if a wire in his back is pulled. Of course these toys can talk. The sequel to this movie was very good in filling in the back stories of the toys (Woody was a spin-off toy from a popular old TV series), and it individualized them. Bo Beep with her little crook in this one seems to have a crush on Woody.
On his birthday Andy gets a new toy, Buzz Lightyear (Tim Allen), whom he prefers to Woody at first. Buzz thinks he's a real spaceman which makes him take crazy risks. Buzz and Woody have to save toys from the nasty, sadistic next-door kid named Sid and his vicious dog. Sid turns toys into mindless mutants. Sid really is an evil piece of work.
People are the bad guys. Andy, a typical kid, is fickle about his toys. People are also dangerous for the toys because they are unpredictable.
This is a real kid's movie without any adult-aimed gags. When viewed with the second in the series, it provides some fun viewing because there's so much growth in "Toy Story 2."

Woody does not realize that Andy's mother gave him an action figure known as Buzz Lightyear, who does not believe that he is a toy, and quickly becomes Andy's new favorite toy. Woody, who is now consumed with jealousy, tries to get rid of Buzz. Then, both Woody and Buzz are now lost. They must find a way to get back to Andy before he moves without them, but they will have to pass through a ruthless toy killer, Sid Phillips. I loved the story and liked the animations a lot. This movie is pretty much perfect. It's adventurous, exciting, entertaining, and good for the whole family.』

『I ordered this movie, Toy Story, for a Christmas present on December 3, 2009 and supposedly it was shipped on December 6, 2009 and was to arrive to my house no later than December 28, 2009. Unfortunately, it never arrived and I contacted the seller to get a tracking number so that it can be tracked through the postal service&I never received that number either. The seller offered to refund me my money or send a replacement on December 31, 2009 and I chose the refund due to it being well passed Christmas. It is now January 26, 2010 and still no refund or movie. I am very disappointed in this purchase because there was no hesitation to take my money; however, it seems that my order has been forgotten.』

(Another strong Disney release from the 90s.)

『he only thing that I don't like about these Disney DVDs is that they're all SO expensive!!!

Some new DVDs are 15 bucks, but the Disney ones are always 19 bucks +. I don't understand it. Can't a kid buy a Disney DVD for 15 or so bucks anymore? Guess that answer is NO.

Disney's "The Little Mermaid" mostly takes place in the sea.

Ariel, who is 16, is very stubborn and headstrong, and disobeys her Father, King Triton at every opportunity.

She's lovely though; smart, curious and representing for the pretty, red-heads. :P

She meets the dashingly handsome prince, Eric, and falls head over heels. She even makes a "fatal" deal to give up her sweet, uplifting and downright beautiful voice to the treacherous Witch of the Seas, Ursula. But that in turn, gives her a chance to love a human...But was it worth it?

Once she gets legs the story seems to lag (just a bit) but one of the highlights was how excited she was to see Eric's world she's been dreaming of for a while. She gets to command a horse and carriage, gets the wear a dress for the first time and embarrasses herself many times. For some, this part will be a true highlight.

The movie is more or less enjoyable from start to finish.

I'd recommend any kid to watch this unless they have a short attention span.

Not as good as The Lion King or Shrek, but better than Pocahontas, Toy Story and Ice Age.

4.5 stars.

End note: Part Of Your World is a breath-taking experience and alone boosts the score considerably. Very moving and emotional.』

『The top evidence of a great DISNEY movie? A preeteen / teen saying it rocks. Which I am willing to give. When I was 3, I LOVED this movie. I mean, that's all I would watch. And then, just as a "nbody's going to see me anyay, why not?" mood, I saw it again. And fell in love with it. Again. Jodi Benson - spectacular. She deserved, like, 5 Academy Awards. The rest of the quirky cast? Why are there not more than one "Best supporting actor/actress"? The animation spetacular. The storyline - ths is why I love it.
The storey line isnt about some pathetic female waiting for a prince or a faerie godmother, no-siree. The only thing old and magical is the witch, thank heaven. Sure, ther's a boy, but - he has a nice dog. I love dogs, so I kinda thought he was OK at the dog part.
MAybe I cracked a few "Omigosh, Ariel's like Lydia from Pride And Prejiduce" jokes, but still. I lov this movie. When will more like it come out?』

『You know I couldn't write reviews of almost every other film I have seen, and leave this one out! I remember the day I saw this film for the first time, when I was about seven years old. It was one of those films you never forget. I had the great fortune to see "The Little Mermaid" in the theatre (which is how it SHOULD be seen). Not only is the animation spectacular and absolutely stunning (this was before the introduction to computer animation, that is so widely used today), but the actors providing the voices for the characters are wonderful.

Ariel (voice of Jodi Benson) is a beautiful, headstrong 16 year old mermaid who wants nothing more but to live with the land dwellers and be a "Part of their world" (to paraphrase on of the most well known songs from the film). Her father, King Triton (Kenneth Mars), knows all too well the stark reality of the fish eating, two legged creatures and doesn't want his daughter to experience the pain of being an outsider, nor does he want her to put herself in harm's way. Nothing will stop Ariel when she experiences love at first sight, after rescuing a very handsome young prince from near-fatal drowning.

I won't get long winded on you, as far as plot details are concerned. All I am going to say is this......this is a MUST SEE. "The Little Mermaid" can be enjoyed by people of all generations, and will leave you with memorable tunes, a song in your heart and a smile on your lips. *two BIG thumbs up*』

I still howl with laughter at the antics of Sebastian and Flounder(he's so cute!), sigh romantically as Ariel sings to Eric on the beach(ARIEL RULES!!!!), boo(then cheer later)at King Triton, and shudder as Ursula makes her plans for "triton's undoing"! The wonderful music and lyrics by Howard Ashman and Alan Menken make me dance around singing. It belongs with all the classic Disney films. All in all, a wonderful film.

(Avoid this and don't waste your money!)

『It was an interesting idea but pull construction and not sufficient testing.

The smaller one broke after a week. I pulled the handle out and was not able to re-insert it back. Apparently it got separately easily (and unconsciously) while I was pulling the handle out to change bit. I suspect the big one will behave similarly at some point. This is all molded plastic, I tried for an hour and couldn't reinsert the handle back together, it also distracted me from my intended task. The handle slides out easily and does not give a feel of a good strong grip.

(A great screwdriver set for the office)

『I admit I'm a computer-gaming geek. I'm always searching for a screwdriver in the office so I can quickly crack open the case and fiddle around with something in my PC. This set is handy, comfortable and easy to use and I don't need to run downstairs to grab something out of the toolbox.

Two small issues:

1) The labels peeled off after about a week.
2) The smaller screwdriver uses a non-standard bit size. I'm not sure where I'd go for replacement bits if I ever lose one or wear one out.

(Great combination-driver set)

『I absolutely love these. I don't do any heavy-duty work, I just needed some screwdrivers for around the house. I've had several sets before, but I tend to lose the most-needed sizes. They take up space and I end up forgetting to put them back in the toolbox and eventually they get lost somewhere. Me being absentminded doesn't help either (I've once found my keys inside the refrigerator after searching for a couple of hours).

Regular drivers either take up a lot of space, or have small bits that get lost very quickly. This one solves both problems.

Pros:
- Bits stored inside the driver itself, no chance of them getting lost
- Takes up less space than conventional single driver-multiple bit design, or the individual separate screwdriver design.
- The clicks sound cool and my toddler likes to hear it and see me click around. I like the turning and clicking action as well.

Cons:
- The labels came off immediately, not very well put on. This doesn't speak too highly about the build quality.
- The bits can come off if you pull, sometimes too easily.
- The bits aren't fit all that well. It's adequate for normal purposes but if you apply more force, I can see them slant sideways (the handle's axis and the bit's axis are not the same, they're at an angle.

Overall I love this because I always can find it at its place and there are no small bits or individual drivers that can get lost.

『The small screwdriver is very handy for the junk drawer and the large is great for the workshop! It has most of the bits you would need for daily tasks. I have not had any problems with it. Good product!』

(Cheap bits diminish the value)

『The autoloader feature works great on both screwdrivers. As long as I properly align the selected bit, nothing gets stuck. The magnets are pretty strong on mine, so I don't see any bits flying out.
However, the bits themselves are rather cheap. Don't expect these to last long on the precision screwdriver.』

『I was upgraded to a larger salt lamp because the shipment was late. I thought that was very nice of them and I had planned to purchase more in the near future. But when it arrived.....the light cord was too small for the lamp and did not fit correctly in the lamp. When I turned it on the bulb blew up with a bang. I am not sure where to get a cord that will fit it, but the lamp itself is beautiful, wish it was lit,oh well, accidents happen. I can't complain, when so many people in our world are going through real heart breaking issues.』

『These look very plain and simple, not like the fancy colors and shapes of the slick foam plugs, and they are---they are also superior. They stay in the ear canal whereas the others slip out and provide no noise reduction. These are great for the shop, studio, concert or gun range (with muffs). Keep them in your pocket on cold days and they warm and go in easier. Forget them in your pocket? No problem. They wash clean and are fine to reuse. Follow the KISS rule and stick with these.』

『These were PERFECT for my needs. I have to sleep in the same room with a VERY LOUD, yet sporadic snorer. The volume of the snoring changes from moment to moment. The noise is impossible to become accustomed to and sleep through due to the stops and starts in addition to volume changes.

I wanted something to block out the snoring, but at the same time I needed to hear this snorer if he spoke or got up and moved about, so I was worried about using ear plugs. These were PERFECT for my needs--they block out 99% of the snore sounds, but so far, over several weeks use, I've been able to hear the snorer if he speaks to me (or talks in his sleep) or gets out of bed and moves around the room.

『On blu ray. Sleeping Beauty is a true classic and the colrs and sound on blu ray are truly amazing. The extra features are a great addition too. What I like about what most companies are doing is including the regular dvd with the blu ray...this way if your blu ray is a ps3 it is not being used all the time.』

『Haven't seen this since I was a kid. Now with the blu-ray I can take it in in a whole new light. There are nuances that I didn't recognize before. The resolution allows one to see the widescreen in the best detail you can for the animation. I highly recommend it.』

『This movie is a disney classic and one of my favorites. I love the villainous Maleficent. The sound quality is stellar and the picture quality is amazing.

If you own the Special Edition version of this that was released a few years back, it's not quite amazing enough to upgrade to this.
However, if you do not own digital non VHS verison of this movie, this is the copy you should purchase!

The one downside is that I wish it came with a digital copy like all the Disney-PIXAR blu-rays seem to be doing lately.』

『I first watched Sleeping Beauty years ago in Day Care. And of course, I must have watched it time and time again with my sister and my cousins. This Disney movie is based on the classic Brothers Grimm tale, about a princess named Aurora, who under the spell of a wicked witch will "prick her finger on a spinning wheel and die." Fortunately, one of her fairy godmothers revoked the spell, by saying that yes she would prick her finger, but rather than die, she would sleep for one-hundred years without aging one second. And that she would awake to love's first kiss. Like Aurora, I have always dreamed of finding true love, and living Happily Ever After. This is such a wonderful movie. The scene when Flora, Fauna and Merryweather put the kingdom to sleep before Aurora wakes up, makes me cry every time I watch it. Make sure to add this first-rate film to your collection, before it goes in the Disney Vault!』

『I am a big fan of extra features... and this has it. I loved the feature of having some art fill the black on the screen while it was playing. The Blu-ray also has the option of leaving messages to loved ones or communicating while watching the movie with a family member who is also watching it. I haven't used this feature but I can only assume it would be exciting. I love the extra features this has. The whole story behind how they built the Sleeping Beauty attraction in Disneyland Resort was Awesome!

You can't beat having two of a good thing. I love this movie and I know not everyone has Blu-ray, yet, so having a DVD copy helps. I can lend this movie out to friends while still having my Blu-ray copy on me.

I thought it was an amazing buy for me. If your even a little fan, you'll enjoy it.』
『Disney's 1959 animated effort was the studio's most ambitious to date, a widescreen spectacle boasting a gorgeous waltz-filled score adapting Tchaikovsky. In the 14th century, the malevolent Maleficent (not dissimilar to the wicked Queen in Disney'sSnow White and the Seven Dwarfstaunts a king that his infant Aurora will fatally prick her finger on a spinning wheel before sundown on her 16th birthday. This, of course, would deny her a happily-ever-after with her true love. Things almost but not quite turn out that way, thanks to the assistance of some bubbly, bumbling fairies named Flora, Fauna, and Merryweather. It's not really all that much about the title character--how interesting can someone in the middle of a long nap be, anyway? Instead, those fairies carry the day, as well as, of course, good Prince Phillip, whose battle with the malevolent Maleficent in the guise of a dragon has been co-opted by any number of animated films since. See it in its original glory here. And Malificent's castle, filled with warthogs and demonic imps in a macabre dance celebrating their evil ways, manages a certain creepy grandeur. --David Kronke

Sleeping Beautywas the last and most lavish of Walt Disney's animated fairy tales. He told the artists not to hurry and to give him "a moving illustration": The film required almost four and one-half years and one million finished drawings. Instead of the 19th century storybook illustrations that had influenced the look ofSnow WhiteandPinocchio, the artists adapted the flattened perspective and jewel-like colors of 15th century French illuminated manuscripts. The results remain unmatched for sheer visual opulence. However,Sleeping Beautysuffers from a weak story: the vision of an ageless princess slumbering in a vine-shrouded tower was replaced with elements ofSnow Whiteand a boy-meets-girl musical. The evil Maleficent and the three Good Fairies (Flora, Fauna, and Merryweather) dominate the film, rather than Princess Aurora and Prince Philip.Sleeping Beautywas originally released in 70mm, and the Blu-ray edition restores the film to its original splendor. (Great Cookware at Resonable Price!)

『I've purchased two sets about six months ago and had a chance to use every piece. I have to say that this set is a bargain, but noticed that Cuisinart Multiclad Pro is what I would prefer over this set (if money was no object). I've purchased the Multiclad Pro 3 qt saucepan and the 5-1/2 qt pan to compliment this set, and love the true triple ply and heavier gauge sides which prevents scorching. Can't compare this set to the Cuisinart Multiclad Pro set that cost two to three times as much (or All-Clad)...and I'm quite happy that I have purchased this set!

As for the 10-piece set, I agree with the high praise from many already posted. This is a very good set for a resonable price. Would it last a lifetime? Probably not but I will get good use out of it for at least ten years. Sides of pan are a bit thin and will flex slightly (compared to the Multiclad models). If the pan fell from my hanging rack, it would probably dent. You can hang the pots with lids on, though one would have to be careful not to knock them off. One of the lids came off and hit the countertop then the floor, but survived the fall without any damage. My favorite is the 3 qt saucepan and the 3-1/2 qt saute.

Cameo or Bar Keepers Friend does a good job of cleaning up residue that can't be cleaned up with standard dish washing soap or in the dishwasher. I have some pitting on the interior of pan from throwing salt from soft-boiling eggs or pasta. Pitting does not impact the performance, but a bit ugly looking (doesn't bother me as this set was inexpensive and I've purchased to use everyday). I've done a comparison between the 3 qt provided in this set compared to the Multiclad 3 qt. I was surprised that using same amount of water an at same size gas burners with switching the pans every minute to ensure even heating, Chef's Classic boiled water quicker than the Multiclad by at least a minute (I'm a professional engineer and a bit quirky that way).

I've also purchased the anodized non-stick pans by Cuisinart and been using the glass lids from that set on the Chef's Classic. Since purchasing the stainless set, my non-stick pans are in storage and though they are fairly new, teflon started coming off from the top of the cookware where lid meets the pan. I realize the professionals use metal lids as it keeps in the heat better and easier to clean, but I do like to see what's going on inside the cookware when I'm cooking. I'm starting to get used to the metal lids. This set has also retired my Lodge cast iron cookware to use only on the grill, as the stainless base heat retention is great and much easier to clean and maintain.

I would highly recommend this set to anyone who wants a long lasting cookware, likes to use metal utensils with their cookware as long as they don't mind superficial scratches(instruction manual states that non-metallic utensils be used), enjoys developing fond (brown bits) for making tasty sauces, or simply wants a cookware that one can abuse without having to worry about ingesting Teflon, this set would be very satisfactory. If you want the absolute best and spend considerable time in the kitchen, spend more for the Cuisinart Multiclad or All-Clad and don't complain about the little details. For most everyone else out there, this set would be quite adequate. Happy cooking!

Other Info: As for interchangeability with Cuisinart Multiclad line, 3-qt line has different size lids as Multiclas line has deeper Saute pans. Frying pans are the same size. Pam or similar cooking spray should be avoided as they will bake on to the pans and will be difficult to remove. I've started to cook eggs on real butter mixed with olive oil. Wow! Eggs are so much better than cooked on the non-stick skillet with spray oil. Everything in moderation, but I've been learning to live a little and exercise more to make up.』
