『This little device sure surprised my 4 dogs when they went running to the backyard fence to bark at hikers passing by! You could tell there was something different by their reaction. They backed off and now bark at the hikers from a distance which I would consider to be less offensive. I can also see a little light blinking (as they bark) in the birdhouse to let me know it's working and the batteries are still charged.』

『I have a "Barker Breaker" that I use when I'm at home to keep my dogs from barking. It releases a high-pitched beep when you press the button, and it works well. Unfortunately, it doesn't work too good on the automatic setting, so I purchased this item to try to keep my dogs from barking when I'm not home. I have two dogs, an Australian Cattle Dog and a Corgi/Border Collie - both about 50 lbs in size.

This thing didn't do anything for my dogs. They would stand right in front of it and bark, and the little red light would flash, but it wouldn't make them stop barking.

I don't know if they are just too big to be affected by the "ultrasonic" noise, or if they are used to the audible high-pitched beep, or what. Regardless, I'm sending this back because as cute as it is, it's not worth $45.

『My husband and I bought this product hoping it would be our relief from the 3 barking neighbor dogs next door. They are untrained, mixed breed dogs. We have our own dog, a golden retriever, but she does not bark. We put the birdhouse along our property line and pointed towards the neighbors dogs. It has absolutely no effect on them. They don't seem to be bothered by it at all. The continue to bark even when the device is activated. Our dog, on the other hand, is terrified of it. She's smart enough to know that when neighbor dogs are barking, she better not go outside. She trembles if we force her outside and runs for the door. So, if the dog(s) you are trying to use this on are trainable and intelligent, this product will work. If the dog(s) you are trying to use this on are stubborn and not trainable, don't waste your money.

Also, there is a LED light that flashes every 5 seconds to let you know the battery is good. This creates a problem if you are trying to use it on neighbor dogs and be discrete (it can be seen at night from a distance). You would need to conceal the LED with duct tape or something else.』

『I decided to wait a year to write this review, just to see how this product would hold up. After a year of frequent use, I could not be happier with this mixer. I have used it to make mixtures that were quite thick - most notably homeade Marshmallow Fluff - and I found that I could not break this mixer no matter how thick the mixture. Egg whites, dough, mashed potatoes become cinch. I could not acheive the same results with a handheld whisk no matter how hard I beat - this is truly a time- and energy-saving appliance. I cannot say this about many small kitchen appliances, but I have good reason to believe this hand mixer will last 20 years or more - very consistent with the quality one would expect from Cuisinart. Despite the fact that the power rating on the Cuisinart is about a third that of a comparable Kitchen Aid hand mixer, it is seemingly bulletproof. Just so no one gets any suprises, the lowest speed on this mixer is surprisingly high - if you hold it straight and use a large mixing bowl, you will have no problems. After some practice, you can hold it straight enough to use in a medium-sized mixing bowl with minimal splatter. The recipes included in the manual are a nice bonus feature. It will probably be a long time before I need to buy another hand mixer.』

『I almost didn't buy this mixer because the other reviews mentioned it being so powerful it was mostly impractical. I beg to differ. I used it today for the first time and think the other reviewers who were having problems with too much power probably didn't notice that they turned the mixer on past the first power level. The tab for changing the speed of the mixer does move easily so I'm guessing these people hadn't noticed they turned it on past the first level. So don't let them scare you off. This mixer is great at all speeds!』

『This film does a good job of depicting the story of The Jackson family's life. I could watch it over and over and not tire of it. I think you would like this movie even if you are not a Michael Jackson or The Jacksons fan. It is a love story and the story of a family rising from rags to riches and all the hardships of both worlds. It makes you hurt for the family members while at the same time cheering them on. All in all it is a very good story. I hope this review helps.』

『Keith Wyatt's DVD IS the best bang for the buck. I have Learn and Master Guitar, a $200. 18 DVD,s and as many CD,s lesson set and wish Learn and Master would have had Mr.Wyatt teaching it. For the beginner you are playing music immediately and isn't that what the vast majority of us want. For about $20. you get around 50 lessons vs. paying an
instructor $20. to $30. per lesson x 50=$1,250. The only negative I have is the rather confusing menu system. But, still worth the bucks.』

There is a lot varied ground covered concerning picking styles, and various methods of playing that are useful to learn.
Much of it goes by too quickly to take in in one viewing, expecially if you are trying to play along.
Since it's a DVD you can repeat as much as is necessary.

I have not seen any other videos of this sort, but I thought the range of information was good.
I thought the DVD navigation was lacking in that repeating a chapter could have been made easier.

『"I'm not going to be shot in the belly because you feel sorry for yourself. They're going to kill us, Mrs. Mims," says Pat Brennan. "Think about that for awhile."
"Well, what can I do?" Mrs. Mims asks.
"I don't know. We've got to keep our eyes open...watch every move they make...and when our chance comes, we've got to take it!"
"I'm scared," she says.
"So am I," says Brennan.

Brennan (Randolph Scott) and Mrs. Mims (Maureen O'Sullivan) have every right to be scared. They're held captive in the hot, rocky countryside 15 miles outside of Contention. There's Billy Jack (Skip Homeier), a young kid with a gun who doesn't much like being a virgin. There's Chink (Henry Silva), a dead-eyed killer who shot down his father when he was 12. He's up to seven notches now, and is looking forward to making Brennan and Mrs. Mims numbers eight and nine. Most of all, there's Frank Usher (Richard Boone), older and wiser than the two he runs with, and more ruthless than them both. He's the kind of man who laughs when a woman burns her hands on a hot coffee pot he could have warned her of.

Brennan and Mrs. Mims are in this fix because the three bad guys took over a stage station to rob the mail packet that was due. But up drove Mr. and Mrs. Mims in a stage they'd hired for their honeymoon, with Brennan riding on top because he'd gambled his horse for a chance at a seed bull and lost. He's heading back to the small spread he runs by himself. When Usher learns Mrs. Mims is the daughter of the man who owns the richest copper claim in the territory, and when the weasely Mr. Mims says he'll work with Frank on a ransom scheme to save his own skin...well, it's not long before a tense game of maneuver starts that leaves Mrs. Mims a widow. Frank Usher can't abide a weasel. Brennan knows Frank Usher will have Chink and Billy Jack gun them down as soon as he has the ransom. Brennan and Mrs. Mims must wait and take their chance. In the meantime, we get to see some of what makes Frank Usher tick (it ain't pretty) and of the kind of man Pat Brennan is.

The movie is an excellent example of skill and craftsmanship applied in just 78 minutes by Budd Boetticher...a small cast of good actors...limited locations...a taut and efficient screenplay by Burt Kennedy...scenes that establish character and build tension. The relationship between Brennan and Usher is unstable, and both Scott and Boone know how to make the most of it. Scott in his later films thrived when he had a charismatic actor to play against. Just watch him versus Lee Marvin in Seven Men From Now. The last 18 minutes of The Tall T crams in a steadily building climate of violence that leaves the bad guys dead (this is no spoiler; what else would happen in a Randolph Scott western?) in some startlingly effective set pieces. You don't take on Randolph Scott, even on horseback, when he's carrying a double loaded shotgun

This and Ride Lonesome are the two outstanding films in The Bud Boetticher Box Set, which also includes Decision at Sundown, Comanche Station and Buchanan Rides Alone.

Richard Boone was so dynamic an actor, and so easily played fascinating and ruthless killers, that he almost stole his movies from the leading men. Just watch him against John Wayne in Big Jake or against Paul Newman in Hombre. He seemed to me to be a man out of his place...too good for most of the movies he was in, too easily a charismatic bad guy to be given a chance at leading man roles, too effective an actor to be ignored. The characters he played, including all those bad guys, almost always carried a whiff of disgust at the doings they saw around them.

The DVD from the set looks just fine. Extras, which I didn't bother with, include an audio commentary by Jeanine Basinger, described as a film historian ("film historian" now seems to be as ever-present as people identified as "political strategist" on cable news channels), a feature titled Budd Boetticher: A Man Can Do That, and Martin Scorsese's views on The Tall T.』

『Small time Arizona rancher Pat Brennan played by an aging Randolph Scott has the misfortune of losing his horse in a wager over a bull, he had hoped to add to his stock. Hitching a ride in a stagecoach back home with a friend, along with a newly married couple Doretta and Willard Mims played by Maureen O'Sullivan and John Hubbard, they get ambushed by a gang of outlaws.

Richard Boone, a personal fave, is outstanding as Frank Usher, the leader of the 3 man gang that includes remorseless killer Chink played by Henry Silva. When the cowardly Hubbard reveals that O'Sullivan is the daughter of a wealthy copper baron, Boone schemes to hold them for $50,000 ransom.

The wily Scott realizes that they won't survive after the gang shoots and kills Hubbard after his return from setting up the ransom drop with O'Sullivan's wealthy father. He must convince O'Sullivan to help him try to escape from their predicament.

Filmed in the beautiful setting of Lone Pine, California this worthy flick, based on an Elmore Leonard story, pits Scott against Boone as two men who have mutual respect for each other but fall on opposing sides of the law.』

On his way back to his ranch on foot he's picked up by his old friend Rintoon (Arthur Hunnicutt), driver of a stagecoach. Mims is a bookkeeper who has obviously married his wife for the money she'll inherit from her wealthy father who is a copper miner. Three killers hold up the stage, killing Rintoon. 『I had been hearing about this film and Leni Riefenstahl every now and then for over a decade and I finally decided that I had to see what all the fuss was about. Some of the scenes are interesting and some of the scenes are a little scary. But the long parts showing the parades are, after a while, kind of boring. Still the film generally has a unique character and a way of drawing one back into the terrifying atmosphere and ambience of that period of history - sort of like a reminder of where the world would be better not to ever go again.』

(Let Us Deal With Facts !)
『Let me preface this review by asking, 'is the Late Leni Riefenstahl's estate receiving royalties from her documentary, 'Triumph of the Will'? or is this just another piece of her brilliant work such as 'Olympia', the Olympic Games 1936 etc, that was stolen from her when she was suffering the most horrendous of persecutions for her production of 'Triumph of the Will.' Let me make it quite clear that one does not have 'jack's boots'under his bed, only slippers, but Iam speaking solely as a fellow film producer, albeit not in the same class as Ms.Riefenstahl. I believe that critic's of this genius in the art of filmmaking should stick to facts and not things that they would like to think are the facts. Ms.Riefenstahl was not a member of the N.S.D.A.P. more populary known as the Nazi Party. From all accounts she did not want to produce it in the first place, but did so on the promise that she did not have to do another of this type, and that promise was kept.After having previed this film one cannot understand what all the fuss is about. There is not one word of the so called term, 'anti semitism'. As one alert reviewer put it so well,
'Triumph of the Will' WAS NOT produced for Western Civilization,it was
produced for the German people. I for one shall be ordering a copy of this 'special edition' from 'AMAZON',a most trustworhy source. Ms.Riefenstahl can no longer be hurt, for she has passed on to a much higher authority who will judge her,inter-alia, for her deeds as we who believe,will all be judged. 『Triumph of the Will is an absolutley stunning photographic masterpiece. Bearing in mind it was made nearly 80 years ago, Leni Riefenstahl's photgraphic techniques are nothing short of brilliant. It was very interesting to note that many of Adolf Hitler's speeches were fairly bland, but the way he put it over was quite outstanding. In places it nearly had me up on my feet with my arm in the air! It shows how he was able to captivate millions with the power of his oratory.』
『Triumph of the Willis one of the most important films ever made. Not because it documents evil--more watchable examples are being made today. And not as a historical example of blind propaganda--those (much shorter) movies are merely laughable now. No, Riefenstahl's masterpiece--and it is a masterpiece, politics aside--combines the strengths of documentary and propaganda into a single, overwhelmingly powerful visual force.

Riefenstahl was hired by the Reich to create an eternal record of the 1934 rally at Nuremberg, and that's exactly what she does. You might not become a Nazi after watching her film, but you will understand too clearly how Germany fell under Hitler's spell. The early crowd scenes remind one of nothing so much as Beatles concert footage (if only their fans were so well behaved!).

Like the fascists it monumentalizes,Triumph of the Willoverlooks its own weaknesses--at nearly two hours, the speeches tend to drone on, and the repeated visual motifs are a little over-hypnotic, especially for modern viewers. But the occasional iconic vista (banners lining the streets of Nuremberg, Hitler parting a sea of 200,000 party members standing at attention) will electrify anyone into wakefulness.--Grant Balfour』

『I bought one of these about a month ago. We have a small on-going flea problem, and I am trying to avoid foggers at all cost. I have caught hundreds of fleas over the last 4-5 weeks on this device, and find it simple and safe. We have had no issues with the kitty getting stuck to the glue as one reviewer had bemoaned. It is interesting to see the ebb and flow of the catch when there is a new hatching. My suggestion is to get at least one extra pack of refills. After about a week enough dust settles that the adhesive is not as effective. Also, at some point, it is nice to change them out to see if the 'catch' is decreasing. I am just getting ready to order a second one and see if we can finish off our flea issue.』

『This thing is phenomenol. We live out in the sticks and as soon as it gets cold out, the mice start to come in. I've tried every type of trap I could find, and set them up side by side to compare for effectiveness. Last night I set up three different types of spring traps (five total) and two of these electronic traps. When I checked them this morning only the electronic trap had caught one. Just open the door, empty it out and you're ready to go again. One thing though, when the trap has caught a mouse, the LED on top blinks green for one week, not one day as reported on other reviews. This appears on both the box and Victor's web site. When the batteries need replacement it is supposed to blink red.』

『I had read most of the reviews on this and was enticed by the many 5 stars, so I figured I would try it out and hope to not end up like the lesser 1 stars. I figured I would be writing this review in a couple days from now, when I had a chance to form an honest opinion. Well, it has now been 20 minutes since I fist put the traps down (I bought 2).

I am sitting in my home office, bright with noise going on and to my surprise I hear a sound behind me. It was the charge from the trap. Sure enough went over and the light was blinking. After reading some of the posts, I wasn't sure if the thing would be dead or alive, so I took it outside to open it up. I found a dad little mouse that looked like it past quickly and painlessly. Dumped it out, closed the lid and it is back in business.

『I both this product and a humane trap. Figured I'd try to catch and release first. The humane trap failed (and provided a few additional meals to the mouse or mice). So, I hooked this up. The green light threw me at first...it went on when I turned the unit on but then I heard a faint whine and the light went out. I figured it was defective until I read the instructions that specifically said the light would go out. Baited it and put the trap on the floor and the next morning had a blinking light indicating a catch. It was a decent sized mouse but it squeezed through to the bait. And this guy had fooled the humane trap a few times. I'll see how long it runs, as some below have noted that it failed after a short time, but one day out I'm completely satisfied with it.』

So, word to the wise - check these out immediately after receiving and make sure it's operable. Then follow the instructions on the top reviewer's review about no foreign matter, use small amounts of p-butter, etc.

I actually think the little guy was taking the poison pellets and hiding them so I would think I got him.read the reviews for the victor electronic trap and decided to give it a try, baited the inside with regular peanut butter and set it by the fireplace. A few hours later I started smelling something burning, went to check the trap and long behold I got it, disposal was easy I didn't even have to touch the mouse or see it. Highly recommend for anyone with a small rodent problem.』

(Straps do break a lot)
『I haven't bought this mask from Amazon, only from the local big-box type home improvement stores (and paid way more BTW).

But its the same mask, and the straps do break. I bought a two-pack the other day and after only a few uses the straps on both masks had already broken. The ones I had bought before were the same. I don't know if its a heat issue, as I live in Florida and this is in summertime.

If it weren't for that problem it would be a good mask. Why can't a major company like 3M come up with straps that don't break?』

『Great for filtering dust. As a bonus, I have also never contracted SARS nor Swine Flu while wearing this mask. I think one of the biggest attractions which nobody has mentioned, however, is that while wearing one of these masks I have also NEVER BEEN ATTACKED BY A LION NOR HAD A STRANGER RUSH UP AND POUR MUSTARD ON MY HEAD! I swear it is true. Why 3M doesn't market those two additional benefits on the box is beyond me. Probably the bureaucratic FAT CATS in Washington behind it. Stupid Obama. I think it is an unintended plus that when I wear this mask everyone knows how serious I am about keeping their dirty, proletariat germs away from me. In what is surely a rare show of respect, when I walk down the street in my N95 Respirator most everyone seems to veer out of my way and avoid contact. Oftentimes this includes refusing to meet my gaze. Why eye contact would transmit germs eludes me for the moment, though as soon as someone who identifies themselves as a doctor answers my online query I will certainly update my post.』

(Funny as hell, but not for anyone.)
『This movie has some funny jaw dropping moments. I can understand why some people would hate it. It puts you out of your comfort zone. Its unexpected, original, funny and shocking all at the same time. I personally loved every second of it and only wish they could come out with Bruno 2.

I had expected the famous Sears scene that was in the trailer to make the DVD but sadly it had disappeared along with the other scene where Bruno is dancing in a club setup. It takes great courage to go through what the production team and actors had to go through shooting the film. Like Lloyd said that America is lacking sense of humor today so enjoy the movie for what it is and GET UBER IT.』

I thoroughly enjoyed both the UK and HBO TV series of Ali-G as well as the Borat movie. Bruno on the otherhand, was tasteless and completely unfunny.

I'd recommend that the reader of this review spend their money on Mr. Cohen's much funnier earlier works.』

『Hilarious. It's not exactly tasteful or wholesome, but it had me in tears with laughter. 'Bruno' is not for the easily offended, and there's no shame in being a offended by this film. The film is full of crude gay humor with a copious amount male-nudity, that some argue perpetuates LGBT stereotypes and enlightens institutionalized homophobia issues. I think 'Bruno' mirrors perfectly the pervasiveness and vulgarity of 'heterosexual approved' comedies, and it brings out society's true colors when it comes to LGBT's. And I think people ought to lighten up a whole lot more.

It's an outlandish over-the-top satire with subtle themes dealing with yes, homophobia and homosexuality. It about everyone's need to follow their hearts and dreams, but at the same time it also explores the social and political controversy and the universal acceptance of homosexuality, in a very funny way. It's a post-coming-of-age, obscenely heart-warming, hopelessly uninspiring mock-biography.

Cohen is a master of his craft. In 'Bruno', he conducts interviews with respected figures and performs more than vulgar antics in random public while posing as the flamboyant Austrian fashion reporter, Bruno, who seems entirely unaware of his morally-unique perverted nature. Those he interviews ostensibly believe that the interviews are sincere and legitimate. The authenticity of his character and the reality of the movie, not only make the absolutely hilarious; it makes it shocking, brilliant and transcends the film into multiple genres.

I laughed a lot, but I'm not afraid to admit it was fairly tasteless and obscene.
I would not recommend this film to just anyone. If you're not sure of how you'll hold up to repeated viewings, than maybe you should rent it first.

『The brilliant British comedian Sacha Baron Cohen dips into his stable of pre-existing characters and comes up with a big-screen vehicle for Brüno, a gay Austrian fashionista. Brüno is blond, fame-hungry, and prone to wearing unexpected combinations of lederhosen and hot pants. But it's his runway disaster with an all-Velcro suit that gets him barred from the Milan fashion scene and leads to the cancellation of his TV show. ("For the second time in a century, Austria had turned on its most famous man," he complains.) Clearly, he needs to go to America and share his philosophy--or at least become a celebrity in whatever way possible.Brünorolls out in a fashion similar toBorat, a combination of a scripted through-line interspersed with scenes of Baron Cohen improvising with people who don't realize they're being set up,Candid Camera-style. About half the time, this reaps some healthy laughs: a sequence with Brüno sitting down for a conversation with a "de-programmer" who claims to cure people of their homosexuality is on-topic, and there's a wild series of interviews with parents so desperate to get their kiddies into showbiz they'll agree to all manner of dangerous and irresponsible childcare. A lot ofthe humor isn't about Brüno's gayness at all; Baron Cohen is at his best when displaying freakish comic bravery (sitting across from a terrorist, he advises that "Your King Osama looks like a dirty wizard"). But the other half ofBrünosimply misses the movie's best targets--homophobia and celebrity culture--by miscalculating the nature of ambush comedy. When Baron Cohen gets former Presidential candidate Ron Paul in a hotel room and begins to undress, Paul isn't showing bigotry by storming out (except in his language); he's understandably reacting to obnoxious behavior in a supposedly professional situation. Too many set-ups fall short of the mother-lode pay dirt thatBoratso frequently hit, leaving this a distinctly lesser item in the Baron Cohen portfolio.--Robert Horton

These reduce the fogging by 90% or more.
