While this listing is a little less misleading, at least one of their others stated that they were selling a 10 count box. In the details it said that it was "blind packaging" which could mean anything, but should have said "chosen at random". Still, nowhere did it say that you were buying only 1 of 10. Otherwise, the item is fine. However, you very well may get the one figure you were least interested in as I did.

I LOVE THIS. HOT COSPLAY GIRLS OH YA
If you buy it looking for a guide to making your own costume, you will be disappointed. But if you take it for what it is - an hour or so of Japanese girls in pretty costumes posing and answering questions, it is reasonably entertaining.
This is an entertaining video, but is nearly worthless for learning about cosplay. (the art of dressing up as anime, manga and videogame characters) The man who interviews the cosplayers (almost all girls) knows little about his subject matter. He seems more interested in the girls than the costumes. Lots of close-ups of faces and few full shots of the costumes. The second half of the video is a japanese reporter interviewing the proprietor of a costume shop. It seems more like an ad for the shop than a news story. The reporter is quite cute in the various costumes but she looks extremely bored. Somehow the whole thing is strangly entertaining as long as you are amused by lots of giggling schoolgirls.
Japanese anchorwoman Akemi Matsuzawa presents the ultimate guide to costume play. Always wanted to know what Japanese fans do to support their favorite anime? I really enjoyed the humor this anime brought. It was also very informative about how competive a cosplay can really be. Part of the "Extras" has Cosplay Identification 101. I was able to recognize a lot more outfits after watching it. It also means that I need to watch a lot more anime. The only distrubing thing other than watching girls jiggle and almost falling out of their outfits was the relationship other than Jenny had with Maria's younger sister. Maybe I need to watch more Utena or perhaps Gravitation to fully grasps the situation.
This is the first time I've written a review for amazon, but I thought this title was worth it so here goes

I picked this title up at suncoast and was quite pleased
but first ill start out with the bad:
this isnt neccessarily a problem with this title, but with most ova. With ova's, unlike series, since they are short, you dont get to know the characters as much. But in my opinion this title would make a great long series as well

But on with the reveiw:

This series stars Chako who is in her schools failing cosplay clubs with her friends. Despite not being treated as a real club and no sponser they do pretty well, This story plays out quite well, as well as you can expect from something this short. Most of the characters are loveable, but lets get to the important part Cosplay. If you are a real anime fan, and have seen a lot of anime series, you will love this series. They cosplay about 20 different series in this title, including fan favorite cardcaptor sakura, evangalism, nadiso tv, sgt. from and others, so if you call yourself an anime lover, this title will not disapoint

While the japanese track is better, this is one of the better english tracks

This is a very funny three episode story about the girls of the East Oizumi Academy Cosplay Association. I do not know if there are such clubs in schools but this anime so yay, right?
There are a few things which will either stop you dead, or make you immediately want this DVD. Number one: with all the cute girls involved there are some views of underwear (almost a given in anime). Number two: there is also brief nudity, of the mild sort, in my opinion. Number three: one of the new members recruited really *likes* young girls. This is played for laughs and I didn't find it offensive; it was fodder for some very funny situations. Actually, I am thankful that the Japanese have a different view and it is refreshing to see a female perv for balance. The perv girl does learn a tiny life lesson in the second episode : ) She also experiences a nosebleed which should have killed her when she finally gets close to Athena,the object of her obsession; I still laugh when I think of that scene.
The DVD is suggested for 17 plus, which may be just about right, depending on your standards. I think this falls into a gray area between an R rating and PG-13. You have been warned, however. My advice is to read more detailed reviews at www.animeondvd.com and other websites.
Although extras are not the best reason to purchase a title, there are some annotated sketches, as well as Cosplay Identification 101 to help identify some of the costumes in the episodes, and clean closing, as well as a Japanese opening. The opening theme is bouncy and fun; however, I prefer the closing theme,The Cosplay Marching Song as performed by the Japanese voice actors. It is one of my favorite anime themes now. Photos of real cosplayers are shown at the end of each episode.
This is a highly amusing kind of whacko anime and has very memorable characters. The anime does leave questions(some of them huge questions) unanswered and the strong possibility of more adventures to follow. I fervently hope the series is continued.
This is a great new animé. It was such an easy idea to make an animé about the cosplay sub-culture, epecially considering how big it is in Japan. It is amazing nobody has done so before.

The animé is cute, and funny, and interesting, and it has heart. I know a lot of guys will get it because it does have,"fan-service,"but there is more to it than that. All in all, the main point the animé is trying to make (as I see it) is about the fun and friendship from the cosplay world. Check out this animé if you love animé. Buy this DVD if you love animé and cosplay!
Cosplay Complex is one of the funniest films I own. Even I did things like this when I was a kid. It was well worth it to me.

I bought these ears for my Hazuki cosplay/gothic lolita halloween costume. They aren't bad, but since I already have a headdress for the costume, the frill on these ears was excessive, but is easily removed with a stitch ripper (or an exacto knife...that's what I used...but be careful!). I feel they are much cuter without it anyways. Also, I felt that the ears were a bit too "tall" and on top of my head (rather than to the sides a bit....can you tell I'm picky?) for my liking, so I sewed them down a smidge. Now they are perfect! It seems like alot of trouble to go through for a pair of neko ears, but trust me, I've tried making them myself, and it's a heck of alot easier to modify these than to make a pair from scratch.

Nekomimi mode! =^_^=
I can hardly believe I bought this thing, but I regret nothing. I only wish they had a white version so that it matches the nekomimi in the show better. The black nekomimi in the show didn't have the frilly stuff on it.

It's a great necklace. It came in a really nice metal (I think it's aluminum) RE-USEABLE tin, and is official. It's pretty sturdy, and it's not heavy at all. It'll go with most outfits even after the infatuation with this character has faded away. It's pretty fashionable too, and people have told me they liked it and they haven't even heard of the Naruto show. I wore it in the shower and it didn't rust either.

Overall, best anime-themed thing I ever bought online, best thing I ever bought on Amazon to this day. I'm very satisfied with it.

The shipper ships from California, and I am in New York City, so it took a good 4 days to get here, which is pretty expedient. They confirmed the order right after I placed it, very reliable company
It's a little big on me, so if I decide to actually cosplay as Itachi I'd have to tape it or tie it so it would fit better, but it's great to just wear as a regular necklace. It looks pretty cool, and the design is really simple. I wear it all the time.

I was surprised by the size of these hair pins. They're also pretty. However, they don't hold any hair. The ends are kind of blunt and it's easy to hurt yourself while trying to get them to stay put. I actually used regular bobby pin to hold the hair pin in my hair. That's so ridiculous. If you like Bleach, they're a good collector's item, but the practicality is 0.
When I got them, I was quite pleased. They were bigger than I expected and absolutely lovely. But the pins can't hold hair. At all. I put them in and they just slide out.
Being a Bleach fan myself and sister to another one, I was delighted to bring a pair of these Orihime's hair-pins into our house as a gift. It was, I assumed, a fail-proof gift, but the pros of the pins often directly result in the cons.

Their color is good - though a little dark in comparison to the anime - and the metal used to cast them is of a surprisingly good quality for hair-pins. (I was expecting cheap metal or worse: plastic!) Unfortunately, the metal used is too heavy to stay in the user's hair. My sister hasn't managed to keep them in her hair yet, and she thrives on hair-clips and pins.

Overall, they're a good product with a good deal of loyalty to their imagining in the anime/manga. I wouldn't, however, say that they are quite as practical as they could be. It takes either very thick hair or some help (hair-spray, additional clips, etc.) to keep the weight of the clips from pulling them out of your hair as soon as you've got them in.
This was a gift for someone and they loved it but they said it was a bit heavy and kept coming down bit by bit, but she also said that she loved it so much she'd make it work. Other than that this product looks authentic but I think it would only be for big Orihime fans.
These came in in only two days after I ordered them. They are so beautiful in person, and I reccomend this to all people!

This costume is waaaay big fun. No, you won't look like the woman in the picture, so I don't recommend you share that. The accessories, except for the hat, are cheap plastic toys -- my badge broke when I was trying to pin it on. The hat and belt are great -- anybody would look good in them. Warning: Unless you are a size 2-4, you should get the Large. I am a Petite 8 and the dress was very much too small. I might have sent it back for exchange, but....it got torn. This might seem like a contradiction in terms, but my overall thoughts on this costume are that it's overpriced......but worth the money.
This outfit is good for what it is. Not the highest quality but I don't think it will be on for very long. The dress runs a little small. I'm 5'6, 125 and the med/large is snug, but it looks good.

I bought this for my roommate for her birthday and am definitely considering purchasing another for myself! It came in the packaging, working - which was a concern of mine! It was easy to wind and looks beautiful, no scratches or anything (the clock part was covered in plastic that was easy to remove). Great for cosplay or just daily use.
I love this watch! I am a big fan of Fullmetal Alchemist so I had to get this.
The quality is amazing and it looks exaclty like the one from the anime. The only thing is I kinda imagined it a tiny bit larger...

But i wont complain it has the famous engraving "Don't Forget 3.Oct.10" by Ed in there too. I use it as my regular watch to check time becasue it has the cool hanging chain and clips comfortly on your pants.

The hat is pretty good, with one big drawback its the wrong color. I had an official Shonen Jump hat that was white with green stripes this one is beige, at best off white with green stripes. The cut is right on this hat unlike so many other of the very poorly made Urahara hats. I want to accurate as possible when I am announcing to the world I am an enormous dork and wear cartoon characters clothing, please make a white hat!!

I just got this and it was delivered so quickly. I ordered it Wednesday, it was sent out Thursday, and here it is today, SATURDAY! It's so cute and little, it runs PERFECTLY! They did mess up on the year in the engraving, but that doesn't really bug me. Overall, this is a great cosplaying item that all major Fullmetal Alchemist fans should have.
It's cool and looks awesome.....

Hey, its a cool product I guess, but the quote on the inside is wrong... They have "don't forget 3 OCT 11" The actual quote is "Don't forget 3 OCT 10" I know its a small detail but I'm picky and as it is a recreation it should be correct. I went back to the episode just to verify about 17min and 40 sec into episode 17. Yeah, I know I'm a nerd.
This is a nice pocket watch and a very nice fullmetal alchemist item. Its just like Edward Elric watch, with the Alchemist simbol on the front and the "Don't forget" engraving on the inside. My only complaint is the little drawn non working dial under the otherwise perfectly functioning watch.

Wanting to portray Cleopatra for Halloween this year... I couldn't turn down these shoes. They fit perfectly, looked amazing and didn't give me a single problem despite all the places we walked to. I was very happy with how fast I received the item, BUT when it arrived my son found it much too heavy to play with. Therefore, I sent Top Swords an email asking if/how I could return the item. I didn't hear back from the Seller even though I provided him with my personal email address.

I would appreciate you looking into this matter. I would be willing to look at other items by the Seller so as not to receive a refund, but I don't want to end up with nothing to show for my money. I haven't contacted you sooner because I've been taking care of my mother who had heart surgery a few months ago and is slowly recovering.

This was a Christmas gift for my 24yr old nephew. He loves the anime Bleach and Ichigo's sword when he goes Bankai. I would have liked to have bought him the metal version but wasn't able to spend that much on him alone, plus he has three young children at home. He loved the sword so much he actually carried it around all day! The hand guard is plastic but the chain is metal. The delivery was on time too.

The strap broke off after one day of use. Also the strap is too high on the mask, so if it is comfortably situated on the back of your head, the mask will hang too low on the face. Elastic also too tight. This mask is work about $5.
Ilike the mask, but be warned, all of the various complaints about the elastic and/or glue are true. The FIRST one I received had one eyepiece swatch only half-attached, and the other had a glue spot in the middle of the eye. The elastic poppep right off it's anchor point as soon as any tension was added. I sent it back per instructions, and they sent a better one almost immediately. The elastic came off immediately, again, but my use is mainly for wall display, so it doesn't matter to me.
stretchy band holds mask so tight to your face that it hurts, but thats only if the elastic holds long enough for you to put it on. easily fixed with hot glue, and spare fabric. looks just like the one in the anime.
it was ok. the elastic strap in the back was glued on and came right off immediately after i took it out of the box.so i duct taped it and it served its halloween purpose. arrived timely though.
My son purchased this mask to use for a Halloween costume. It arrived quickly after we ordered it, but the elastic strap had come off the mask on one side. We were able to easily glue it back on, but then the other side came off. Glue fixed that also, and the mask made it through Trick-or-Treating. The mask has no mouth opening, so my son found that the mask got wet on the inside from his breathing. It was uncomfortable and cold. I think masks in general are difficult for Trick-or-Treating. My son thinks the mask is very cool and it is now hanging in his room. Naruto fans will think it's great.

I've been a fan of Aimee's online journal for awhile now (she loves costuming, Dr Who, and is unapologetic about being a total geek) so even though I've never felt much interest in Japan I decided to buy her book.

It was worth the price; full of great detail, fantastically cute artwork, and awesome geekiness involving cosplay. I now actually want to visit Japan myself!
I sought out this book because my teenaged daughter is obsessed with Japanese anime and manga and I thought this book by an American "otaku" would provide some insight! Aimee Steinberger's account of her trip to Japan with two friends is truly delightful; I loved her quirky drawings and funny comments on her travels, particularly on being 6 ft tall as an American woman in Japan. She shares with the readers her visits to Kyoto Shrines, learning about Geishas (including a photo shoot where she is made up as a Geisha, Otaku Tokyo, and finally, her trip to the VOLKS doll factory, where she is invited on a special visit because she writes for a doll magazine in the U.S.

Manga lovers will really enjoy Aimee's adventures but you don't have to be a manga lover or even knowledgeable about Japanese pop culture to enjoy her writing styles and her cartoon-style drawings.
I was curious to see how well the book would look on my Kindle 2, but found some of the journal handwriting difficult to make out at the default page view. Zooming in was much better and I would have liked it to be the default setting, because turning the page zoomed it back out, and meant I had to zoom back in which hampered the flow of reading since the inputs would take awhile for the Kindle to respond to.

All in all, I suppose the Kindle is first and foremost designed for text reading, but I think it needs some tweaking to handle graphic browsing at a comfortable speed.

The book itself is enjoyable, but I wouldn't recommend it in Kindle format in this current version.
My daughter is crazy about manga, and we are planning a trip to Japan this summer. We stumbled upon this book in the bookstore and LOVE it. Manga-style, the author relates the adventures of herself and friends on a trip to Japan. Along the way, it serves as a fantastic guide and travel-idea book for those interested in Japan and manga. Even if you're not planning to go to Japan, it's very enjoyable, funny, and insightful. Absolutely terrific.
As a tall man who lived in Kyoto I just love this book. It's an illustrated travel log of 3 self-proclaimed geek girls in Japan. It covers the wonders of life in Japan from bizarre foods, to tiny shoes to squat toilets all with wit and grace and no small amount of cuteness.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT for anyone going to Japan for the first time or former residents looking for a reminder.

the awsomest book ever and i dont care what other people say it is awsome!
Hay this book has a lot of info. But if you just watch the show at 8/7 central than you dont need this book. Its pretty easy to get this info. then again there isnt a lot of stuff about this show that I dont know. . . I would give this book a 2 out of five. Some info is very handy if you are young and cant figure it out on the show or in the manga books. There is a novel on this but they havnt gotten to it yet. Its also fun to read if you never care to watch or read the other stuff about it because its got a fanticy going on.
Well I wouldn't give this a perfect rating since some of the facts that were in the book were pretty easy to figure out on your own (like who naruto's parents are, etc.) except that they went more into detail with some of the stuff and found some evidence to make their thoughts for the anime true. The book goes up to about the time where Orochimaru hired the Sound 4 (or Sound 5) to retrive someone (I won't tell you in case your not that far yet) So it's pretty up to date of where the anime is now on Cartoon Network.
As the title of my review states this book was slightly disappointing. Some of what the authors call "facts" are questionable in my opinion. I was also disappointed that there were no pictures, which might not be an issue for some. Some of the theories come way out of left feild, which are sometimes good for discussion and other times mind boggleing. Since there is no discription for this book I will add some brife facts. This book's information is based on Japan's manga up to the time-skip. So there are definent spoilers for American audiences. So this review has been mostly negative, but I still give it three stars.
