『This is a great way to get a cheap, healthy snack.

Just preheat the machine by plugging it in. Unplug it, and pour in your popcorn kernels. Let it go to work.

Soon you have a great healthy snack. Top with flavoring, or butter if desired. I think it's perfect plain.

I had one exactly like this growing up. Finally broke for my mom a couple years ago. So it lasted a good 15 years at least. Now I have my own.』

(Beware, Mr. Hooper's death episode)

『Yes, I love Sesame Street, but included in this video is the episode where Mr. Hooper is no longer alive. They were remiss to include the episode, because it is very suddenly sad. Your child may not have any experience with death/ loss of a loved one, so it could be quite confusing, especially when taken out of context! Or, if you have had a recent loss, you may not want this video around in your collection.』

『The first DVD (1969-89) is the best one. My 5 year old is enjoying it with me and normally she says she doesn't like Sesame St. I think that's because the new episodes are all Elmo now, which my 2 year old loves. I've had to explain a typewriter and a phone with a cord :) Some of the 1989-2009 stuff we already have on other DVDs. Overall I think it's a good buy.』

『I was a Sesame Street fanatic as a small child, and some of my happiest memories are of curling up with my sister to watch Bert, Ernie, and the rest of the gang. Now that I have a daughter of my own, I wanted to share these memories with her. I was disappointed. Although each of the forty seasons of Sesame Street is represented, the later seasons include more celebrity performances than actual bits by the characters themselves, and it's HEAVILY based around Elmo, Zoe, and Abby instead of including more of the traditional characters. It broke my heart to see Cookie Monster lectured about eating cookies; they have revamped the older songs to be more "hip," and they've included musical performances by bands/performers I would never choose for my toddler/preschooler to listen to (Destiny's Child, the Goo Goo Dolls, Feist, etc.). Let kids be kids and enjoy musicians and performers geared at younger children.

Don't get me wrong: the first DVD is a great walk down memory lane, and there were some fantastic clips not included on the Sesame Street Old School Vols. I-II. I'm not sorry I purchased this set, but we will be watching the first disk and skipping the second.

If you are a parent who's looking to relive your Sesame Street memories, spend your money on the Old School dvd's instead - this will be a disappointment to you.』

『I guess after having the displeasure of hearing this the message is: You'd have to be an American idiot like the members of Green Day to like this.』

(The hallmark album in my collection)

『Many people have called Green Day "sell-outs" or "modern rock/punk posers", but I beg to differ those opinions. True in their early days of "Kerplunk!" and "Dookie" they had a punk sound and were full of angst and rebellion, but one can't stay young forever. The prior album to this was "Warning". That's a great album too, but this one (American Idiot) is the hallmark album of their careers. This album also shows the bands maturity and it shows they have a bit of a soft side. "Wake Me Up When September Ends" is about Billy Joe's fathers death and also references to 9/11. For a band to be taken seriously, they need to show some softness and emotion. After 5 years of this albums release, I still get a little emotional when I hear that song. The first single, however, is pretty straight forward. Why conform to the accepted American norm? Don't be American Idiots people! Yes, this is not the first rock opera ever released in the history of music, but it is most certainly one of the best ever. I love every track on this album. I am thirsty for more Billy, Mike and Tre. Please keep on rocking until you are in your 50s!! (Did I mention that I've loved Green Day since "Kerplunk"?)』

I'll bet that the majority of the American public that bought this didn't even realize or care about the message and intricacy in the lyrics, concept and flow of this masterpiece of a punk album. For those of you that noticed, welcome to the suburban world of American Idiot, where the real idiots are the listeners that are parodied without their consent or even their knowledge. For those of you that got it, lets do something to change the dismal state of affairs of this great country. Talk about it and make others see that we need to pull together and make some changes before it's too late. Kudos again to Greenday!! All the accolades, sales and praise that they received is well-deserved. This will go down in music history as one of the greatest moments in punk/rock.』

『A Large portion of the movie could not be viewed even though reported to be in good condition with just the box dented』

『Waited in anticipation for this movie, I like micheal j. fox, joan jett, and even gena rowlands, how many of us have a g.r. for a mom? What i wished i'd had was a joan jett sister. My older sister liked dan fogelburg (barf). The music was fantastic, would have liked to have heard the hunz alittle more. Loved the suprise revelation j.j. laid on her mom on her death bed. This is a great representation of real life and i applaud their effort. My only problem was i couldn't find a decent vhs copy, the ones i bought had glitches in them would very much like a dvd. If you love rock, and love joan jett you'll enjoy this movie. Finally saw her in concert recently, she still looks good and plays very well. T.y. N.R.J.』

『Being we never had a stateside release of this film on dvd, lets see a U.S.A. blu-ray release! The music is awesome, the acting is incredible (esp on Joan Jett and Gena Rowlands behalf).

I have copies on VHS tape, but I just upgraded everything in my entertainment center to hi-def 1080P plasma and bluray. In otherwords, there is no more vcr in my entertainment center!

Blu-ray would make this movie even more incredible!

A bit of trivia for you:

Born In The U.S.A.

Not many people remember that this film was originaly slated to be titled "Born in The U.S.A.". Then Bruce released the tune he wrote for this film on his album titled of the same name (and he was originally to be cast in the film as well). An out of court agreement was made and Bruce wrote another tune, "Light of Day". Any fan of Springsteen or Joan should you-tube the video of them Performing this song together. It's INCREDIBLE!!

In any case, they really know how to cook up a tearjerker and they can definitely take care of a nauseatingly cute tyke monster. I personally think it was a mistake for Jo to switch from militant lesbian biker babe to white trash heterosexual. However, anything to improve on Alex as GOP spokesmodel I would have to say is a turn for the better.』

(Video Tape "Listen to Me")

『Tape box was old, but tape played just fine. I was a little disappointed in the debate because pro-life side was won on emotion and it's winnable without emotion. Put it under a microscope and it's homicide of a human life. Just because homicides will always exist is no reason to make them legal. The Supreme Court violated voters' rights when they overturned the states' rights to keep abortion illegal. I live in Michigan and stood in line for hours to vote against legalizing abortion 38 years ago (late in 1972). A few months later (January 1973), the Supreme Court jammed abortion down the throats of every state who had voted against it.

『As much as I'd like to think that my debate career was on the same line as College football quarterback, some how it just didn't have the same impact. I viewed this movie the same way geologists viewed 10.0 and Astonomers viewed Armageddon. It was pretty laughable. Knowing that Tom Miller, UCLA Debate coach, was the consultant for this movie explains it all. I truly believe that this movie expresses how he views himself』

(One of the worst movies ever made, debate or no debate)

『I'm rather humored, or disgusted, by the many good reviews of Listen to Me. This is one of the worst movies ever made, be it as a "debate" movie, or an "80's" movie, or whatever. It has terrible writing, terrible acting, and just a terrible premise.

Now, I'm biased. I teach debate, and as a result, I saw this film in the theatre. And it was so bad it was hilarious to debaters (maybe that is something to recommend about it). The script was essentially a wet dream of what debate should be like according to one debate coach, whose standards of debate were quite dubious at best (I knew him and had to deal with him). The debate part of the film is the worst of 80s montage movies. Not only is it just wrong in most respects (a plan in 2AR? Please! Even novice high schoolers know that's BS), its quite simply one of the most melodramatic and formulaic movies in the history of cinema. The one scene that just killed me was the final round in front of the Supreme Court (yeah, right), against Harvard, wearing three piece suits and using computers (beyond the pale, both in terms of the computers and the fact that Harvard (!) debaters would be in three piece suits--real college debaters know the truth).

But even if you were to dismiss my complaints as akin to my father's complaints about Vietnam movies not being "accurate," it's just a bad, bad, bad movie. It's laughable. It's sad, it's so laughable. Terrible flick. Watch it like you would watch "Plan Nine from Outer Space."』

『I am a huge Michael Biehn fan. I saw this movie on tv when it was a miniseries. Even without the commercials, this movie would have been more than 120 minutes, trust me, I actually calculated just how long this movie SHOULD be on DVD or VHS - it should be approximately 145 minutes. There were a bunch of necessary scenes taken out that shouldn't have been. But the film itself was still a good edge of ur seat kind of movie and Annabella Sciorra did a great job also. I too would like to know why this movie cost so much. Personally, I'd say that the price is a rip off, I mean, I was doing some price checking and I found a few other places (after I bought the movie of course), that were actually selling it for $70 LESS!! Someone is ripping the Amazon customers off and cleaning up and I think that Amazon.com should monitor them.』

『I liked this movie. It was thought provoking and insightful with the action taking place in a location not usually seen before. Dallas, Texas was a good choice as it is highly populated, but not typical like New York, or Los Angeles. Being a Colorado girl, I liked that the NOAA facility in Boulder was used. The FEMA aspect was something new not usually included in these types of movies, and gave a more human element to the story instead of focusing on the impending disaster.

『I've always been one to research what type of products I should buy and it was no different for this carbon monoxide alarm. I found out that it was rated well in Consumer Reports. I liked the idea that this monitor only needed a battery for backup purposes. I was afraid we'd bump into it on occasion since it hangs in our hallway and is only a foot or so off the ground, but we haven't as of yet. After reviewing several other places such as Walmart and other retailers, I believe Amazon came out to be the best price for the product.』

The only complaint I have about the power bar is that the power cable is short. I didn't realize how short 2.5 feet were until I tried to move the bar under my desk and couldn't get it that far under, away from the wall outlet.』

『bought this for my wife to replace a crock the kids broke in the old one. this is the first programmable slow cooker we have owned and we love it. we cooked a pork roast using the probe and it came out perfect. programmable,probe or manual, this slow cooker works great. the seal tight lid is fantastic! never have to worry about bringing it to a party or pot luck ever again. no more spilling it in the car.』
