I placed my home on the market since February of this year and purchased the St. Joseph selling kit did everything that I was supposed to and Have seen no results. I am a believer and a catholic, i really truly believed that it would work and now October is soon to be over and still no sale. The property is priced right, in immaculate condition and still nothing. Buyers even purchase the same house from the builder and not mine. Hmmmmm...』
(Just Try It) 『After my father became terminally ill, we decided to sell their home to help with expenses and have them move in with me. We put the home on the market in late February 2009 and had very little interest (one low ball, insulting offer in April). Following my fathers death, I returned to his home (still on the market) after purchasing this statue. We had no other showing since the first and only offer. I buried this statue the day after my fathers funeral in June -- 13 days later we were under contract with an offer that was great. The price was lower than we initially expected, but there were no contingencies attached (not even a finance or inspection contingency). We closed 4 weeks later.
I am not religious and I don't beleive in this type of hocus pocus--my dad did. Many friends told me about this and after 5 months on the market with no real activity I was desparate. Next time I try to sell a house I will use St. Joseph from day one.

I first heard this band and the track "Le Vent Nous Portera" on an internet radio station, and bought the album. While I'm still puzzling out some of the lyrics, the *music* itself is great, even if you don't speak French, you'll enjoy it. They have a fairly broad range of styles represented, or haven't settled down on one style yet, but it's a solid piece of work. Highly recommend.』

Specifically it was that Lexus Pebble Beach commercial that Kael Alden (of FPF) did through his commercial music production company Robot Repair. The music from that commercial sounded right up my alley so when I found this group was associated with the guy that did that, I decided they might be a good find. I tell this story to emphasize how difficult it is to find this band, which is a shame. But if you're here now, give yourself a pat on the back, you made it!
In this album, Irvine-based Faded Paper Figures has produced a very top quality indie pop music, heavily influenced by the likes of the Postal Service. The music is well-produced and catchy and the lyrics are clever... in all it has the right ingredients to be a popular album. Nevertheless, I've seen very little press for this group, leaving them somewhat unknown. So if you've managed to find your way to this page, do yourself a favor and give them a try. I've listened to this album quite literally over one hundred times and would definitely consider it one of my better musical purchases in recent memory. Throughout, my favorite tracks have remained Geneva's Gone and Metropolis.』

But when the Disney writers teach young girls that it's "fantastic" to be an ice skater and nerdy/geeky/boring to be scholastic, then we have a problem. It's movies like these that tell girls that they should focus on dresses, makeup, and hair (which is fine if their life isn't consumed by it...) and dream to be world-famous figure skaters. But getting a full scholarship to Harvard to study physics? Why would any girl in her right mind throw that away to pursue a silly dream where you'll be famous for a couple years and then everyone will forget about you??!!!
Girls need more messages showing how they can excel in math/science/engineering especially if it's obvious they have a talent for it. They can pursue something more worthwhile than skating around on the ice.

For the first time in my life (I'm 73 years old), technical analysis of the stock market makes sense to me. Enlightenment came when I discovered trend following along with Point&Figure (P&F) charting.
I began learning about the stock market in 1953 when I read "How to Buy Stocks" by Louis Engel. After that, I added one or two volumes a year to my collection of books on investing. I faithfully watched Wall $treet Week with Louis Rukeyser throughout the 70s, 80s, and 90s. I was a regular viewer of the CNBC business channel throughout the 90s and into the 21st century. The Wall Street Journal, Barron's Magazine, and Money magazine were my familiar daily, weekly, and monthly companions.
I became a buy-and-hold investor in the early 70s, retiring in 2006 with what seemed to be a solid IRA retirement portfolio. Fundamental analysis was the name of the game. Value investing was my thing. The outlook for my Golden Years looked good to me.
Then my financial world came tumbling down with the awful bear market of 2007-2009. Early in 2009, after half of my net worth was gone, I pulled the plug on buy-and-hold. Enter technical analysis, P&F charting, and trend following. In a few short weeks, I turned my investment philosophy around 180 degrees. I made the transition (metamorphosis?) from long-term investor to short- and intermediate-term trader. Growth of capital plus protection of assets became my new strategy.
I acquired a used copy of the first edition (1995) of "Point&Figure Charting" by Thomas J. Dorsey. This is a practical how-to book on trading. I quickly learned P&F charting fundamentals with emphasis on rising columns of Xs (demand is in control) alternating with falling columns of Os (supply is in control), bullish&bearish trend lines, support&resistance levels, buy&sell chart patterns, bullish&bearish price objectives, risk&reward calculations, relative strength analysis, sector rotation, setting stops, money management, and market timing. Best of all, Dorsey introduced me to market and sector analysis with the power and simplicity of P&F Bullish Percent Indexes. For the first time in my life I have learned how to analyze markets, sectors, and stocks without dependence on the talking heads.
The advantages of P&F Charts are many. They eliminate minor movements by filtering out the meaningless ripples that often make bar charts appear noisy and confusing. They make bullish and bearish trend line recognition a no-brainer, being so obvious that you can't argue with it. P&F charts plainly highlight major support and resistance levels. Buy and sell signals are clear and unambiguous. Bullish and bearish price targets are objectively obtained. Outperformers and underperformers are easily distinguished by means of their relative strength P&F charts. Do you want to outperform the S&P 500 Index? Go for it with your P&F relative strength chart as your guide!
One of the nicest features of Dorsey's book is his presentation of statistical probabilities associated with the various P&F chart patterns. These probabilities came from research done by Professor Robert Earl Davis at Purdue University in the 1960s.
I especially appreciated Dorsey's football game analogy for shedding light on the Bullish Percent Indexes. When the market has the ball (falling column of Os), you make defensive plays. When you have the ball (rising column of Xs), you make offensive plays. Yes, football fans, P&F trading is really that simple.
You will probably want the newest printing of Dorsey's book, now in its 3rd edition (2007). My copy of the 1st edition (1995) is okay for learning P&F fundamentals, but it does not take into account the emergence of such Internet resources as StockCharts dot com and the rise of Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs). The new edition also comes with a CD-ROM containing tests and exercises for mastering P&F charting.
What's really great about P&F charting is the short learning curve. I progressed from mystery to awareness to understanding to mastery within a few days using Dorsey as my guide, proving that old dogs like me can learn new tricks.

It's not a useful 3D art creation tool. Do you ever flip through the pages of your figure drawing book looking for the desired pose, the correct hand position, the angle you want? Poser Figure Artist allows you to position the human body in any way imaginable.
Upside: The most obvious benefits of Poser Figure Artist is that it gives you a model that is more lifelike than a wooden model, more visual and adaptive than a drawing book, and Figure Artist allows you to work with implausible poses a live model would never agree to.
There are aspects of the software that are very useful, such as the basic packaged poses that include running, throwing, etc. and you can adjust them to exaggerate the motion.
You can also pose as many figures in one scene as you like. The camera angle is fully adjustable in free space.
Lighting color, and position can be adjusted.
Fortunately each model has variations that make them more muscular or thin, and changes their proportions.
The downside: Of course you can't design anything, including clothing.
The package does not include a wide variety of models. You only receive four models a man, woman, boy, and girl.
The boy and girl models, Ben and Kate apparently don't have hair, their hair is not included on the installation CD, so they're oddly bald. It must have been a mistake. Their clothing options are also very limited.
Poser Figure Artist also claims to provide multiple ethnicities but sadly they have to be purchased separately through the content website. Additionally you won't find any diverse selection of faces to draw.
While Figure Artist comes with various facial expressions, they can't be adjusted.
Limits to the motion of the figures are wacky, even when at their strictest a body can be twisted to unrealistic limits,...which brings me to my next qualm.
Multiple undos or a history pallet is an option that is missing and is needed when you over manipulate a figure and can't go back.
Summary: Poser is suited for the traditional artist. I use Poser Figure Artist only for getting the Pose I want, and that's what it excels at and was designed for.』

(Excellent reference tool for figure drawing) 『I purchased Poser Artist after first downloading the demo offered at e-frontier website. Here's a review of some of the features. The program is loaded with LOTS of goodies too many to really get into so consider this an overview of the most outstanding items.
After startup, the program is like an open book on the screen. There is a figure, `James' on the left hand side, which is the default that can be changed to something else. Below the figure are the controls for lighting, movement of the figure and camera. On the right hand side are tabs and choices for different figures, poses, clothes, props, etc. Even at the basic level you pick a figure, pick a pose, render the scene and start drawing. The figure `renders' in a beautiful photographic style. The rendered scene even on my laptop looks very realistic. I was amazed the first time I rendered a scene at the amount of detail and shading seemed life-like. I usually save the render to a jpg and open it up with the pc's photo viewer. I can then zoom in or out and see all the details.
There are several figures that come with the program, James, the male, Jessie, the female, a young girl and a young boy. James and Jessie both come with different ages, 30, 50, 75 as well as a `heroic' James and a thin Jessie. Also, which I like a lot are the skeleton and `stick figures'. I still do stick figure drawings to see the basic body movement, even after 30 years of sketching. There are various props included for the figures to stand on or by. As well as clothes and clothing items. As for the figures be all the same color, I don't find that to be that to be limiting since I know what other races look like I can easily change a skin tone or specific race feature.
I like the way multiple figures can be added to a scene. And the figures are in perspective. With the moveable camera angles and lengths you can setup scenes to show foreshortening and correct perspective. The figures can be placed so that they look like there is interaction between them. You can place figures in conversations, walking past or with each other. There is a movable horizon line and perspective lines which you can turn on or off.
One of the great features is the Poses. Several types are included from the classic poses, to common activities as brushing teeth. There are even comic book action hero poses which I found to be really fun to work with. It's an easy thing to freeze to figures in the middle of a fist fight and then sketch out the action. You have the ability to change a pose to suit what you're looking for. All the figures are easily moveable and move in a realistic manner. They have a center of gravity, if you move a leg, the hip moves to balance it self as real person would. This makes for much more realistic looking drawing. You can rotate the figure, move in or out. Move the camera around to various angles just like on a movie set.
There is tool where you can change body form. All the include figures are in excellent condition. With the `Magnet' tool you can make a figure add on the weight. This does take some practice to understand how it works, but I've created figures and saved them for later use. The poses will work with self created figures, but you have to adjust the pose for the new figure. All poses and figures can be saved for later. There an online manual and tutorials. I read the manual after working with the program some to learn more about how to do something. But basically once I started the program I found it easy to use.
The software has replaced my mannequins and photo references I've collected over the years. I can even print out a pose, but I usually just work from the screen since I can zoom in and get a better view. It's saved me money on finding a model or joining a class. I don't have to worry about finishing a drawing before time runs out. I can set down and do a quick sketches or a finished painting at my leisure. 』
(CHECK IT OUT...) 『I am not sure what is up with those other reviews, but I had no problems with this product. I am a fine artist, an oil painter working on her BFA, and even though I am not a "computer person" it was very easy to install this program on my computer and use it. I only paint from live models so at first I was really skeptical about using a virtual one but it turned out to be really great! The model is 3D so it totally works to paint from, and you can move all the way around it, zoom in, everything. And I didn't have to worry about taping and all that to get the pose back after the model takes a break. I use my knowledge of anatomy to help me while I am painting and I can make adjustments as I work. The company has all sorts of other things you can get to go with this too, like more clothes, furniture, different models (of different ethnicities), tons of stuff. Ambient Occlusion makes figures and objects appear as though they are in a natural lighting environment, thus providing a new degree of realism. Ambient Occlusion darkens surfaces within a scene whose exposure to light is blocked by other objects. This effect uses raytracing to calculate the degree to which other objects within a scene occlude the ambient light of a surface at a given point. Surfaces with more occlusion will be rendered as darker than surfaces with little or no occlusion.

This bra does have the one annoyance that many soft cup bras have, the bottom of the band tends to roll if you are slightly overweight.
