I bought this last week at Best Buy ($64.95 + Fl Tax). Which was about the same price I'd have paid through Amazon. I read complaints regarding the other Sony iPhone clock (looks the same but also has a CD player)saying the display was way too bright despite 2 or 3 brightness settings. This clock's lowest setting is perfect for me, dim enough to not be disturbing, but certainly bright enough to see at night. The numbers are also nice and large so there's no problem seeing them without my glasses.
The iPhone functionality is good. I can dock my iPhone without removing the rubber case. The alarm can be a buzzer, radio or iPhone. The buzzer sound is not real loud. Loud enough for me, but some might sleep through it. Its a progressive interval beep, which starts off slow, and then gets faster (ie more annoying).
The sound is so-so. Not real important for me, but may be for some people. It is a tiny speaker after all.There is a back-up battery so power outages dont mess up the time/alarm settings. The remote might be useful for some who use it to listen to music with (just another useless remote in my drawer for me). The set-up is fairly straight forward (I'm not big on actually reading instructions). Its a bit tough getting to the alarm shut-off until you get used to it. Its the front button right at the 3O-clock position.

Over all I'm giving it 4 stars. I think its a bit pricey, but not pricey enough to buy another one for my wife. It certainly declutters the night stand a bit.
Oh yea, and a bounus if you have any of the apps like Sirius/AM or pocket tunes, you can get all your favorite sat radio stations on your alarm clock. I dont think you can program it to launch on wake-up, but other than than it adds a bit of flexibilty to your sat radio listening.
This is a great clock! It charges my iPhone with no problems and despite the small single speaker, has a surprisingly good sound. Not audiophile quality, but certainly not tinny. Pleasant listening. Radio works great too.

I am VERY nearsighted, but the display is large enough for me to see on my nightstand. It's been difficult to find a clock with a large display that also was not too bright. The display supports three different brightness levels, so it's not too bright at night.

My only concern is with the sliding docking tray. Feels a bit flimsy, but I suspect that won't be a problem. Most people really won't slide it in and out, so I wish they'd designed it with a fixed docking station.

Despite having a plastic DLO cover on my iPhone, there is no problem docking the phone. I am not using any of the docking adapters that came with the clock. Works fine without them.

Controls are easy to operate and setting up alarm functions is quite simple. Users can set two separate alarms (A&B) and customize for weekdays. weekends, or 7 days a week. The controls for the A&B alarms are located on opposite sides of the clock on the sides and I like that they are totally separated to reduce accidents.

There are two models made by Sony. This one does NOT have a CD player. I didn't want one. If you DO want the CD player, look at Sony ICFCD3iP CD Clock Radio for iPod and iPhone (Silver)

I wanted to add a quick note about this clock radio because most of the other reviews for clock radios don't address the issue that was the most important to me- the strength of the antenna. I was looking for an alarm clock that would get better reception in our bedroom than the one we presently own. This clock is able to pick-up stations that are either too fuzzy to hear or don't even come in on our current clock.

I also like that the iPod dock slides out, so that I don't have a large piece of machinery sitting on my bedside table! I am very pleased with this clock radio and my husband is going to be thrilled on Father's Day!
I needed a CD player/ipod player/radio/clock combo so I could listen to yoga and relaxation music in a room adjacent to our bedroom. This item exceeded my expectations! Not only did it do all it claimed, I also could plug in my old mini-disc player through its audio in! Since it's not next to my bed, the light it emits is a perfect nightlight glow so I can see my way in the dark. I actually took it with me in the camper and it was absolutely perfect! It's so rare for me to find something that I am totally pleased with these days. There's so much junk out there...

GET IT! YOU'LL LOVE IT!
I searched a long time for a combo clock radio and docking station for my iPhone. Although there are several on the market, I wanted something that took up as little space as possible on my night stand, had a display with large numbers, would charge my iPhone, play music from my iPhone as the alarm instead of the radio, and was easy to use.

I FOUND IT!! This Sony clock radio is great, and has TONS of features. I like the large illuminated display, which has different settings depending on how bright you want the light at night. Setting the alarm is very easy (you can go forward and backward through hour and minutes, without having to run completely through the cycle like most clocks), and there are TWO alarm settings. You can set an alarm for weekdays to get you up for work, and then a separate alarm for the weekend. Pretty cool.

The snooze button is nice and big on top of the unit, and let's you take the standard 10 minute snooze, or you can keep pressing the button and lengthen the snooze time up to 60 minutes in 20 minute increments. A nice feature.

There's a sleep feature timer so you can listen to radio or iPhone/iPod music while you fall asleep. For the alarm, you can have a buzz, AM or FM radio, or a tune from your iPhone, and it works great.

Buttons on the front and side are nice and large so you don't have to grope in the dark, and there are a variety of customizable settings.

The best part is the hidden slide-out docking tray. Pop it out when you want to charge your iPhone/iPod or listen to music through the clock's speaker, and push it back in when you don't need it, making the unit's footprint as small as possible. The docking tray comes with adapters to fit iPhone or iPod. I use mine without either adapter because I have a protective case on my iPhone, but it still fits in nicely.

In reading back my review, I sound like a Sony employee, but I'm not. Have no connection to the product, other than I'm a satisfied customer, and would recommend this unit highly to anyone looking for a docking station/clock radio for their iPhone or iPod. There are too many other features to go into here. Have fun discovering all the great things Sony thought of to include on this unit.

I (like most people) was lured to this product based simply on price. Well, thank goodness my iPod was under warrantee because the darn thing fried my iPod. I plan on purchasing an OEM charger and other OEM products from here on out! No more aftermarkets for me! (FYI: Had my Nano NOT been under warrantee it would have cost me $129 to fix my 3rd gen iPod.)
Very pleased and glad I made this purchase, now I have a spare just in case and to keep in my purse where ever I go. The original received when purchased is kept at home and don't have to worry about forgetting to bring it along, I have it with me all the time. Would recommend this item.

It does the job, safely. What more can you ask from a charger? How about a folding plug for compactness, and dual-charging capability? Oh, and good construction at a cheap price?

If you need a USB charger, don't pass this one up.
Bought this to use on a cruise. Plugs are at a minimum. It was great because we could charge 2 of our items at a time. It's flat to the wall design is very nice and space saving.
I bought this to use with my cell phone (Samsung i770) and Creative Zen players. Unfortunately, the output on this thing is NOT powerful enough to charge these items. It is not a knock on the product per se (although, why couldn't they make it up to 5V), but make sure you check the output of the items you want to charge to make sure this guy is high enough.
This device works without a hitch. Charges both devices quickly and neither device objects. My cell phone (Dare) rejected a third party charger so I was a bit apprehensive about this device but for the price I thought I would try it. I highly recommend the device. Received it quickly as well.
Works well, am able to charge my iPod classic and brother's iPod touch at same time. No problems at all. Easily portable. Good stuff!

I almost paid $30 for the "Zune" charger, but I'm glad I didn't rush my buying decision. Researched a bit and came across this charger with great reviews.

It's slim enough to fit behind my headboard and perfectly charges my Zune. Heck, I even tried to charge my HTC phone that supports USB charging, and it worked! I wish my Nintendo DS supported USB charging, but oh well. I'm very satisfied.
Finally I have found exactly what I've been looking for and it works perfectly. Simple and durable, I recommend this product.
I had previously purchased 2 other brand USB AC Chargers from other sites that I had problems with.
This MusicPower 0900-70 charger has worked with 3 different items and I am very happy with it.
I may purchase another one to keep as a spare or in my garage for my MP3 player.
This item worked perfectly; I had a different USB wall charger that we tried to use with a Zune, and it locked the Zune up. This one however, did the job. I recommend it if you have a Zune.

I bought this for a long plane trip. For Me anything over an hour is long. This trip was from Ca to NC. I love it. It made my day so much better flying. Never ran out of power for my ZUNE. Watching Movies.
I was hesitant purchasing this product based solely on it's looks (how will it compliment my iphone?) and was considering the better looking (and more expensive) APC product. Good thing I went with this.

The biggest difference between this product and everything else is that when you have your device connected (let's say iPod) and you're using it, it actually grabs the power from this product first, not the iPod. Most of the other products will only charge once you stop using your iPod. That means you can enjoy your iPod and have it fully charged at the same time. This has saved my life many times over flying 6-hours from coast to coast.

Also, having the dual USB is awesome. I've now invested in the mini retractable USB cables for my iPhone, Blackberry, Nintendo DS and PSP and have used all of them successfully with this product. I also have them all in a tiny little Muji bag so it's small and convenient.

I'm only giving it 4-stars because it really isn't pretty. But then again, it functions so well, who cares.
This a great idea, especially for travel. Unfortunately, the product is very cheaply made. When first plugged in it felt as though the metal contact blades were loose and unstable. I can twist the unit slighty to get the green charge light to come on but then it goes off (indicating that it is not working). Do not bother with this until made by a higher quality manufacturer.
The features are excellent, two USB chargers plus battery for recharging without AC. The wall charger works as expected, allowing 2 USB devices to charge, so no waiting for one to finish before plugging in the other. I use this nightly to charge up my mobile phone and Bluetooth headset. The battery does not list it's capacity, not in the documentation and not even on the battery itself. This makes one question how weak it is. I let my phone go completely dead and was able to bring it to a full charge using only the battery, but only once. The battery in the Encore had no juice left, so it is pretty low capacity. Most USB battery based changers can push 2 or 3 recharges, this can do only one. It did work though, so it can help while in the field or airplane. I wish the battery capacity were higher, and wish it was better built (it just feels cheap and cheesy) but the features are good. So far, it does what it says.

EDIT: September 2008
It's been just over a year now. This unit travelled with me for most of that time. It just DIED. It will no longer charge the internal battery, and it will no longer charge either of the 2 USB devices able to be attached to it, even when plugged into the wall. Nothing, completely dead. (NOTE: The battery is fine, it can be charged by another charger, but not this device...) I suspect it is out of warranty as well. What was that about marginal execution? Perhaps that was a bit too generous. (Still great features, maybe a less than marginal execution)

They point to the decline in Smoking in the West and point out the tobacco companies have gone to China in a big way. Bloomberg and Gates compliment and complement each other on this one.

This is an excellent product, full of all the key elements to help you master your new iPhone 3G in record time. I was a bit sceptical when I bought it but once I'd watched the first few minutes I was hooked. The video is really high quality and the narrative slow enough so you can follow along with it. And nearly 2 hours of it too. I highly recommend it.

Received this imaxpower IMP500 battery pack and I was very pleased with light speed shipping speed and also product quality. But I found AC charger was not included in the package, I learned AC charger wasa advertised in the video. Contacted customer support and requested for high charge speed AC charger. The gentleman handle my case very professionally and told me the AC charger is a promotional gift and it shall be included within this month. He promised to ship it out within same day. 2 days later I received a brand new AC wall charger. A very happy customer.
There are currently 4, 5 star reviews, check what these reviewers also rated, yep, the same product, they also say which seller they bought it from... Hey what do you know, all that seller sells is this item... So I have no idea of the product, but be aware of the false positive reviews.

After hours and hours of tracking a portable charger for my new iPhone 3GS I was fully prepared to the point I had the shopping cart all set for a Mophia product and then I stumbled over this product on accident. Am I glad I did. I do not usually go out of my way to write reviews unless I feel the product and especially the company behind the product warrants it. I have been working with it for several days now and find it a ABSOLUTE MUST HAVE for all you traveling families not just you traveling business folks.

My 3G iPhone runs down its battery rapidly,especially with wifi on or play games. This imp500 power pack is very powerful as it describes. Great book, but next edition covers SDK 3.0 and includes corrections. The eBook is already out, the paperback is coming early July 2009.
I picked up this book after learning certain areas of the iPhone SDK from reading the documentation and working on an iPhone project for some time. All of the stuff that I didn't know was covered in this book in enough detail to fire up XCode and start coding right off the bat. Authors do a great job on covering most of the basics and explaining how things work behind the scenes (whenever such explanations are necessary). If you are just starting out or need to quickly get up to speed on certain APIs, this book would be a great investment.
This is a great book for getting started with iPhone development. (NOTE: If you don't already know Objective-C programming you should first read through a different book.) The authors do a really good job of walking you through the steps of a task and slowly expecting you to be able to do it yourself. This really keeps your brain working and makes you really learn it.
I have all the books on iPhone development plus every bit of video, documentation and sample code, and out of all that I can tell you that if you want to follow a "path of least resistance" in learning how to code, get this book just do it from cover to cover. Be sure to type it all in with your fingers so that it gets integrated into your real-world experience and sense memory.

The authors have clearly taken great pains to make sure you are introduced to what you need to know in an orderly fashion so there are no missing parts which will cause you confusion and wasted time later on. Don't skip around or end the book early or you'll miss the introduction of some essential knowledge.

Once you get this book, be sure to visit their super helpful website and mark up the book with the few corrections before you get started.

There is this book, and then there are all the others. Take it from someone who has studied the "art of the explanation" for a couple of decades. This book is first-class.
So far, I've found this book to be just the ticket in understanding how to program for the iPhone. I've got plenty of development experience in a variety of languages (primarily C# and VB, but also varying amounts of Perl, Ruby, Python, Java), but nothing specific to Apple, much less Objective C.

I'm following the examples. They all work so far (a definite plus). We'll see how the book holds up now that my phone has been updated to 3.0. I can't fault the book for that, though.

I think the book has been a very good introduction to the iPhone SDK.

So far, I really like the charger. The thing I like the best, is the convenience of not having to find a computer to charge My I-pod. Another good feature of this charging unit, is that it doesn't reset the play count(on the I-pod), just because I'm recharging. I recommend anyone with an I-pod to get one of these. My opinion, they are a "MUST-HAVE" type of item for anyone with an I-pod. The price is Phenomenal for such a necessary accessory for any I-pod Nano. I'm very pleased with this product, and the charging time is rather quick. I would appreciate a "Fully-Charged" indicator lamp that can be seen from a distance, to make aware of a full charge, and is ready to be UN-plugged. I would imagine that it'd be a bit extra in cost for such a feature, but I for one, would be willing to pay for it. As long as it isn't an "exorbitant increase", that is. Again, all and all, a pretty good, and necessary product for anyone owning an I-Pod. Too Redundant? Sorry....

It's a VERY good cheap alternative to most of the plastic cases out there. I had a silicone case before this one, and I like silicone for it's non-slip purpose, but it caused a lot of friction in my pockets and leather belt case. This one is great on my white iphone 3Gs and would think would go great with even the black one.

There is a metallic soft shine to it that looks very nice in my opinion. It feels soft to the touch and has a bit more grip than the phone itself that I wasn't expecting at all.

The clip is VERY secure to the point where I doubt it would pop off a regular standing drop. The only downside is the rough edges on the side that hugs the screen. It is very sharp snap that may leave scratches on the sides.

To minimize the scratching, make sure you insert the side with the volume buttons in last, and don't try to use a cloth or anything. Using a cloth will only have you take it off and reapply without the cloth.. the case clips on too tight for the cloth to be pulled out after the case is secure. The only way to prevent scratching is to get a skin for the back.

There is no rubber or silicon lining on the inside of the case to prevent the phone from moving, but my case is so secured to the phone that I doubt there will be much scratching from pulling it in and out of your pocket. Don't know about drops.

Make sure you clean the phone before clipping the case on so dust, dirt, sand, etc doesn't get trapped between the case and phone to scratch your phone.

I actually purchased a skinomi full body skin for the phone so it wouldn't get damaged from snapping cases on and off.

After applying my skinomi film, blow drying, and waiting an hour or two, I snapped on my CaseCrown skin and it did scratch the edges of my protective skin. I could imagine how bad the scratches would have been had I not bought the skinomi film.

I highly recommend skinomi if you're going to swap through multiple cases. If not skinomi, then try[...]. I opted for skinomi for the price.

With the scratching aside, this is a great case for the price. I like how the red edge shows on the side of the screen. Makes it almost feel like I have a product Red edition of the iPhone ;-)
This protective gear is only covering the back and sides, not the front screen. It was not made clear on the product description, otherwise I would not have ordered it. I have to order another separate film to protect the screen from scratching.

Another complaint about the case is that the inner surface has a little sharps from the molding process. I had to use a cloth to smooth the inner surface before inserting the phone to prevent scratches by the case itself.

I Iiked the color and feel. It was easy to get on. A little hard to get off, but not a deal breaker.
I had very high expectations for this case from all of the reviews I read. I am somewhat disappointed now that I have the case in my possession. The case does not go completely around the whole phone. The top and botton of the phone are left bare with no protection. I also do not like the fact that you have to "pop" the case on and off and always feel I will damage my phone when doing so.
Otherwise, I like the feel (kind of a soft plastic feel) and color. I would just like more protection for my phone and believe the case should lower price.

This is my first bluetooth device, so I can't compare it very well to others. I was worried about the reception because the one my husband uses makes him sound echo-y and far away. (I can't remember which one he has...bought it at Costco.) This Plantronics Voyager 510, though, is very clear. It also sits very comfortably...I almost forget that I'm wearing it. (Please shoot me if you see me wearing it anywhere but in the car.)

My only issue is with the power switch. It's difficult to push the power button. I have to use the edge of my thumbnail, and even then, I have to push really hard and in just the right spot. I only way I know if I've gotten the "sweet spot" is to watch the blinky light on the mike boom blink to red (for off) or start blinking blue very very intermittently (for on). Not ideal, especially if I'm driving and have forgotten to turn it on before getting underway. Hawaii just switched over to its "no hand-helds" law on July 1st, so this is an issue.

Overall, though, I like the reception and price enough that I might get another one to replace my husband's. I don't know if the funky button is a manufacturing fluke or a design flaw.

Had a motorola and didn't care much for it. My plantronics is a better fit and more comfortable. It is a little bulky compared to motorola. So far happy with it. Works decent in noisy conditions but the ear piece is much more clear and loud compared to the motorola.
I love this headset. It is comfortable for about 2 hrs and then easily switches to the other ear. It also easily switches between my phone and my computer. I have successfully used it beyond the 33'range and while there was a lot of static I could understand the words. Battery life is also superb.

My only complaint is durability. I've had it a month and I am hearing a lot of noise that wasn't there when I first started using it. Admittedly I am rough on my equipment, it goes in and out of my purse daily, but I'd hoped for better. I'm pleased enough that I will probably buy another one when this gives up.
Had tried the Jawbone 2-- wouldn't work w/my Blackberry Pearl 8100. This Plantronics Voyager works awesome though-- and was significantly cheaper. The first one or two times you put in ear-- it feels awkward-- but is now second nature&comfortable... I love it!
Pros: Excellent sound quality (very clear - best in class), comfort (the smaller of the included ear pieces fits very nicely in my ear, and I like that most of the weight hangs over the back of your ear because it stays planted - even during quick movements), durability (I've had mine for years, just bought one for the wife and she loves it), works on either ear, folds flat and fits easily in pockets, excellent battery life, and good styling (subjective, to be sure, but I like the black&gray colors). It has worked with every phone I've tried it on - mostly Windows Mobile based phones and iPhone/iPhone 3G.

Cons: It's not the cheapest, but it IS worth the price.

Other: My very first one went through the wash. It didn't survive. I don't recommend submersion, but other than that seems impossible to break.

I would rather go with an invisiblesheild.

This product is a pain to apply and dust tends to accumulate between it and the phone making it very unpleasant to look at. The surface feels nice and the color from the screen is not lost. But all that is lost with the practicality of the product.

Do not recommend.
Not bad for the price, but not the best either. I was able to apply without any bubbles and smudges(that anyhow doesn't depend on the protector but rather how u apply it). All is fine, but im not very impressed with the clarity of the screen after applying it. It shows a shady image of the screen, and that is irritating. But, protection is really good; but for me what's the point of protection if it spoils the display experience.

The screen display changes as if the screen has a low resolution. I am really not recommending for that reason.
After cleaning my iPhone screen with the included polish cloth and applying the protector per the instructions, I found multiple specs of dust wedged between the protector and the screen. I removed the proector and found it was no longer usable, impossible to clean. Once a spec of dust or lint from the air clings to the sticky side of the screen protector you have to throw it away. "Unlucky first try" I thought. So I went through this same experience two more times. Each time there was dust or lint from the air that had clung to the sticky side of the protector in the brief window of time I had to apply the protector to the iPhone screen. Thus the product was completely useless to me. If you decide to buy this, I wish you better luck. I would suggest that cleaning the screen before applying is insufficient -- make sure you are in a completely dust-free, lint-free environment. The protector is a magnet for particles and they cannot be removed once stuck.
I have to give people credit for being a lot dumber than they look. Read any number of product reviews out there and you'll be convinced that nothing works, nothing is of good quality, and that everyone is out to take you. Come on people - get real. For a penny, I got three screen protectors that arrived very quickly. Had instructions and even an LCD cleaning cloth included. For a penny, this was way better than the screen protector that I paid $20 for at the Apple store. The reason you get 3, is that the first one is kind of tricky to apply. Try it, toss it, and by the second try you'll have it down packed. Your screen will be protected and the sun will rise again tomorrow. Don't get side tracked by all the comments that put a negative spin on this product - it is an excellent product. And it costs a friggin' penny.
Fits great! Some reviews said that it was a little loose, but I did not find this to be true. A little tricky to put on the first time, but after that it is a breeze. Color is great also.

The vendor I bought this pen from (PC Micro Store) sold me another pen at the same time - two prices, two ratings, two product descriptions and pictures - same product.
The "other" pen I purchased was this one:

I don't know if these pens would be the same product from other vendors or if it was just a scam that PC Micro Store was engaging it but be aware if you are looking to try out different pens as I was.
The pen itself functions OK. I actually hacked it by tapping a very thin piece of fabric over the head with aluminum tape. Why? The rubber sticks to the screen and makes drawing difficult. With the fabric on it is smoother and I am able to get decent results with Brushes and other art apps.
If you just want a pen for typing it should work OK as is. Frankly I feel I would have been better off buying a Pogo stylus instead of going the cheap route.

Bought two pens, One of them had rubber tip fall out, not glued well. Fallen tip repaired. Work fairly better, some effort required to "write". Great for small detail on internet.
I dont know how these people wrote the review for the pen using the Iphone 3G if the phone just came out last week, just does not make sense.
I think I finally have mastered the touch keyboard, but with my fat stubby fingers it was and is still hard sometimes. And with certain actions on touch pad, I cannot even perform unless I have one of these handy little pens around (like the slide controls!!!) Who would have thunk that the only other thing I have gotten to work on the touch pad was a metal tube with an air filled rubber tip? The stylus is perfect if you can't ever seem to type your password in correctly, or have apps that requires more precision that a fleshy fat finger.

I will say at first, the pen didn't seem to slide on the screen very well...in fact, it looked like little pieces of the rubber were being left behind (like an eraser) So i worked Vaseline into the tip, and after a little will, it was perfect. Every once in a while, i need to put some sort of grease or oil (protect your screen first!) but these works so well and I use them so much, plus since there's no place to attach the stylus to the iPhone, I need buy more.

I use them with handwriting recognition apps, musical instruments, painting/drawing, and most importantly trying to type in my passwords!

Great and cheap accessory!

When I first got this case I was so excited about the color and the style. But after owning for a little over a week and just from daily use, the finish is wearing off everywhere on the case and showing a cheap white plastic shell. I know it was not that expensive but should at least last more than a week with normal everyday use. Very disappointing, would not ever recommend to anyone and really suggest Amazon be more careful about the quality of the merchandise they allow sold through them.
I ordered the case in clear color. It arrived a couple days later..super fast. The case fits perfectly on my iPhone 3G S. However, the bad thing about clear color is that it's hard to put it on the phone without dust. The dust on the back of the phone seems to be 100 times more visible. But I really like the case.
I accidentally lost my first shield slim fit case. I tried and tried several different cases, but none had the sleek fit and feel of the Shield slim fit case. I liked it so much I ordered another one. Doesn't protect the front, but guards all edges of the phone.
Don't expect a lot of protection with this case, it is a very thin case. However, if you are a minimalist (like me), this case is great. It is easy to pop onto your iPhone, the texture is perfect for me, allowing you to slip it into a holster or pocket with no resistance but still providing enough of a silky-polycarbonate texture to feel comfortable and secure in your hand.
The buttons of the iPhone are still easily accessible if you're holding the phone, which can be a problem for some other cases. The volume rocker and vibrate button are partially obscured from the front, but this is more beneficial than a bother since it provides protection from accidental key presses when extracting or handling the phone. The entire front of the iPhone is exposed, so a screen protector is advised. With a mirrored screen protector and the Gunblack color case, my iPhone looks very sharp.

I have tried several arm band for use with my I-Phone. This one is bar far the best I have tried so far. It is comfortable over long distances on my bike. It never feels like it is loosening or unstable in any way. Very easy to insert the phone (and remove later) and put on your arm. All of the buttons on the phone are exposed to be used. And best of all for me the screen has no extra thick plastic cover so the touch screen features are all available, even while exercising or walking. I highly recommend this product.
I run with this, as long as its on the back of my arm it stays in place and i have two hands free.

The only critical things i would add is that it traps my sweat against the iPhone and the velcro on the band sometimes rubs my arm but tucking my shirt under it fixes that.
I wore it on roller coasters and it is just great.
Stays in case, but goes in and out very easily. Better then others I've tried.
Just what I needed for my run. I use fitnio to track my progress and this does a wonderful job holding the Iphone in place and positioning it so that I can see the screen and make adjustments if necessary. The case is quality, as is the band. The band is comfortable and doesn't bother me, even on longer runs. Great job!
For the price this armband is great. I had a similar one for my Zune so I was already familiar with the style. I like the fact that the case can be the case you have it in all day. It is not like the other arm band styles that are big and bulky. I use the arm band when I go to the gym and it works great, I was concerned about the weight and it moving around alot but it is OK. It is a great product and the price was inexpensive!

i have paired the motorola and they have paired well.i have been able to pause play commands etc but there is no sound in the earphones,just a hiss.could someone guide me
I found these headphones very uncomfortable, and the large piece in the back very irritating when moving my head, though they sounded great. The total dealbreaker for me was that they would barely work outside, and I had to literally hold my Tmobile G1 up to the reception bar in the back to get them to work. YMMV depending on head size I guess, but they didn't work for me and I an average size head. I ended up going with the motorokr S305, and am very pleased.

A friend of mine recommended these headphones to me about a year or so ago, but since at that time I had an iPhone 3G that didn't allow for bluetooth stereo headphones (without an adapter), I realized he was just ribbing me about how cool his Blackberry Bold was.

Now the iPhone 3G allows for stereo bluetooth connections with their latest 3.0 software update.

I updated my iPhone 3G to the 3.0 software, then went out and bought the iPhone 3GS. So now I have both the iPhone 3G and the iPhone 3GS

MY REVIEW:

I will say, I mainly bought these headphones to listen to music, not for the call handling capabilities.

I got the package from Amazon today and promptly started charging the headphones for the 2 hour minimum charge recommended by the instructions.

After the 2 hours was up, I was able to quickly pair the headphones with my iPhone 3GS.

I have a gigantic head, and the headphones fit nicely. I was hoping they wouldn't be loose, but I read a few reviews that said they felt tight. To me, they feel just right.

The sound from the headphone is freakin' amazing. Great bass and treble tones.

As mentioned in the another review, with the iPhone 3GS (and iphone 3G with 3.0 software), the "forward" and "back" skip song buttons don't work from the headset, but I've read that this is something that could be fixed with a future software update.

I played some hard rock songs and hip hop songs and they both sounded great.

One thing I noticed. The picture on Amazon shows a red accent on the headphones, but the ones I received are all black. To me, this was a welcome surprise because the red coloring was one thing I didn't like about the phones.

Overall, I'd definitely recommend these headphones to someone who has an iPhone 3GS or iPhone 3G with the 3.0 software update.

I agree with most of what has been said before me in favor of the S9's. Sound quality is stunning at any price and especially for an instrument with a predictable and reasonable battery drain. I have tried to run them dead three times through continuous listening - haven't done it yet. Lightweight, comfortable, non-dorky. I work out for 90 minutes a day so the sweat alert is well taken.

BUT...is no one going to mention that if paired to a 2nd gen iPod the forward and back buttons are inoperable? Strangely, when paired with my 3rd gen Nano, all is well. I thought my headset must be a lemon so I exchanged them and got the same result. Play/Pause works, just not the touch-sensitive guys to either side. Again these buttons do work with my 3rd gen Nano.

Were it not for this concession, the S9's would certainly get 5 stars out of me. A challenging idea, adventurously conceived and elegantly executed. May my buttons remain ever dry.

I'm having a VERY hard time finding earphones for my 5 year old. I thought this would be it; but, these still did not fit. She must have unusually small ears. However, I did try them and the volume control was great.
The sound of these earphones are out of this world. The volume limits are there but its not at all hard to hear. My daughter watches her movies on her Ipod without any issues. Even on a 747 headed to the west coast. These look very cool and the quality of the earphones seem to be very high. Comes with several sets of earbuds so you will have the right size for any ear. Cable lenght is also good. I would be hard pressed to find anything to complain about with these.
I love these headphones! The volume is great, the in-ear size is great, and they come with a handy little carrying case. My last pair of headphones broke because they got squished or bumped around by other things in my bag, but that won't happen now. Also, I had trouble finding in ear headphones that fit my ears. I'm actually using the medium size and it's perfect. I am very satisfied with my purchase and will keep this company in mind if I ever need more headphones.
The pods fit perfectly into my daughters ears. She was unable to use traditional earbuds. The noise protection is a wonderful feature to protect little ones ears.
I really liked this product before it broke. The earbuds were the perfect size and the sound quality was excellent. However, the blue part split in half within a couple of months. I have owned the FM car transmitter for about two weeks. There is good news and bad news. I will give the bad news first, so to finish on an up note.

BAD NEWS

1.The remote is utterly worthless whether you hold it near or far from the unit. Some buttons do not work at all others are erratic and in consistent. At first I thought that it was dead then, I discovered a transparent plastic strip that had to be pulled to allow the contacts of the battery to touch the remote contacts. There was no mention of this in the instructions.

2. The instruction book is almost completely worthless. It does not correctly identify the controls. Has no drawing or photo of the controls. It mentions a 256MB memory for FM units that are black in color (more MB in units of a different color) but says nothing of how to use it. Gives little info for the remote control and misidentifies the controls on the unit to change the FM channel on the unit. Use the A and B buttons at the base of the unit to change channels.

3. The supplied cord to the unit from the head phone of the sound source is too short, only 12½ inches long. The jack into the unit is 2.5 mm in size, while the standard head phone plug and jack is 3.5mm. The local Radio Shop does not stock this size of adapter. Fortunately Amazon does. It cost only $2.99 but shipping cost over $4.00.

3.It plays SD, SDHC chips, USB flash drives and inputs from most any thing with a headphone jack.

The MP3 files on the SDHC card as well as the USB flash cards play, but completely out of sequence that they are loaded in the chip. It jumbles the chapters all up. This makes it worthless for talking books. The forward or reverse buttons on unit do not move to the chapters in a regular order but jump around randomly.

GOOD NEWS

This unit is very clear and powerful. As a test, I have tried playing Mozart with a full symphony orchestra on my Sony Walkman. Feeding into the unit and played on the car FM. It plays with no distortion,no static, no engine ignition noise and is very clear and powerful. I can pick it up with a high quality FM portable 100 feet away and 50 feet with a $9.00 FM. This makes for an useful and unintended purpose, feeding from computers, CD players, TV's, Shortwave radios etc, most anything with a head phone outlet. in the house and receiving it around the house or in the yard, as long as you have a static and 60 Hz hum free 12 volt DC power source for the unit.

There is one thing to be aware of this unit, it broadcast in 0.1 MHz or 100KHz channels spacing. FM radios in the US have 0.2MHZA or 200KHz spacing. If the unit is 0.1 MHz or 100 KHz off channel, it will broadcast with very bad distortion. All you have to do is to change the channel slightly to bring it on the right frequency and clear sound.

I bought this to play talking books on tape and MP3's on my car radio on long trips and it works very well for this purpose.
This product arrived before time. It was good for the price. But for Music Lovers, I dont recommand as this device doesnt give all the frequencies of music. There is also some noise heard. Elbow feature has a fault. After a couple of months the player would only work about 15% of the time.
I was impressed by the remote control feature and hence bought this however found the audio cable lose ... it also has bad quality sound. I could not fix the audio cable problem - the return shipping cost was equal to actual cost hence dropped the idea of return!

In an effort to simplify the material, the author strings out explanations too much. This was actually counter-productive for me. Also, this covers SDK 2.1 instead of 3.0 which came out in June 2009.

Instead get the "Beginning iPhone 3 Development" book from Apress. Its the best one out there and the edition covering SDK 3.0 is coming out early July 2009. I've read the eBook version (already available from Apress) and its great!

Also recommend "iPhone SDK Development" book from Pragmatic Press. Also covers SDK 3.0. Also currently available in eBook format only - paper copy should be coming Sep 2009.
If you are having trouble rapping your head around Objective-C and the SDK for the Iphone then this is the book for you. For someone like myself that hasn't programmed in several years this book did what four other Iphone programming books could not, Help!!!! This book has completely lifted the fog surrounding the SDK and how Objective-C works. If you have never programmed in Object oriented programming then this is a must read. Mr. Goldstein has done a great job of taking the complexity out of this frustrating language and putting it in a language we can all speak.
The author did a very good job of presenting the material and paid attention to the details, unlike some other books on the subject which were clearly rushed to market. I rely on this book and Dave Mark's Beginning iPhone Development.
I'm sure the author of this meant the writing to be chatty and witty personable, but the end result is that he tries too hard (and still fails) at those things to the detriment of actually teaching you anything useful about building iPhone applications. The pace is so slow as to disrupt any continuity in the material presented, and frustrate anyone actually trying to get something done.

If you want to learn at a pace that lets you start getting things done quickly, I recommend the excellent Beginning iPhone Development: Exploring the iPhone SDK and the Stanford CS193P course videos (available for free on iTunes).
The author does a great job of guiding you through the interface builder and the first steps of Xcode. The chapter on iPhone provisioning was great and easy to follow. I was able to develop a basic app and install it using a development certificate quite easily.

The book is well written and informative, teaching the language under the assumption of no previous programing knowledge gives anyone a chance to learn Objective-C. Though those with previous programing knowledge even a little may have a bit of a head start and may want to just skim the first couple chapters.

I read the book with some prior, minor, knowledge of C++ so it helped a bit. I also plan on reading the book a 2nd time to gain a better grasp of the language.

As some said there is a few typos but none of which really inhibit the learning process. The writer of the book is very active in his own forums always out to help anyone in need of assistance, and has helped me a few times. Also all the answers (to the exercises) and programing examples are available on his forum as well which is a nice added bonus.

All in all I would suggest this book to anyone looking to learn Objective-C
I purchased several other books on programming iPhone applications and they all assumed knowledge of C and object oriented programming. This book explains EVERYTHING so that a beginner can understand.
This is a well written book. However if you're a battle hardened professional C/ C++ engineer then this is probably not the book for you. It undertakes the remarkable task of teaching you to program on the assumption that you do not already know anything about C. It deals very well with pointers and functions and all the basic baggage the ObjC (and C and C++) language.

The book is weak however in the area of Cocoa, Interface Builder and XCode. These are the tools that you have to master to be effective in ObjC on the Mac. To be totally fair - the book doesn't claim to be about Cocoa - for that you should look elsewhere.
I selected this book for my son who wants to write ipod applications, I waded through a myriad of reviews before settling on this one, besides all the great reviews&info I liked that there was a forum to go directly to the author for clarification if/WHEN needed.....
The down side is that a couple weeks after this book came out a new version of Xcode came out so that most of the illustrations will look different than what you will see on your mac!
That is pretty confusing when you have no prior programming language under your belt, if this book gets updated I would recommend it without reservation,&for the more experienced person it is probably okay as it is. Just my opinion as a newbie...............
This is a well-written book written for even the novice to programming. I have finished Part I and have been thoroughly pleased. Besides the easy-to-understand language (while some concepts are not so easy), the best part about this purchase is the online forum that you can sign up for free. There the other owners of the book discuss the program examples and exercises. Best of all the author himself actively involves himself in the discussions and answers many reader's questions. Getting and using this book is more like participating in a personal study/online classroom experience that solidifies the learning. I highly recommend for those who want to learn the subject.

Accessories for Men? I'm not a man, and I like this cover.

My iPhone 3G is usually in my pocket or on the passenger seat when I'm driving. For my usage, I wanted a cover that was thin enough to be pocketable, grippy enough to stay put in the car, and one piece construction. I tried a few others, but the material was so soft that they tended to pop off at the corners when I pulled the phone out. The Incase is a stiffer rubber, so it stays on. The charge port, headphone jack, camera and mute switch are all open and accessible; the volume rocker and on/off switch are covered but easily operated. The grip is smooth, with no irritating raised bumps that leave marks on your hands. The color is a neutral mid-tone green, matte finish with a little shine in the line design; not too professional, not too camp, kind of a Casual Friday in overall style.

Minor cons: the camera isn't centered in the case's cutout. The misalignment doesn't affect operation, but it doesn't look right. Also, I wish it came with a glow-in-the-dark layer; one of the cheapies did, and it made it easier to find the phone in my purse or at night. That feature would probably annoy as many people as it pleased, but I found it useful and would probably repurchase if it were an option.

I bought mine for MSRP at the Apple Store, and haven't seen it anywhere else for less. Not cheap, but reliable and a good value for someone who lives on their pocketed phone.

Used this product to try and get online with PS3, no luck. The network appeared on PS3, but it would always time out trying to connect.
The Wifi USB connector was very hard to set up. Windows warned me that it is not a Microsoft compatible product, though it seems to work fine.

I spent about 3-4 hours trying to get it to connect to the internet. I had to create a network bridge and make sure it was set as an access point. The manual isn't very helpful, it tells you what should happen, but not what to do if it doesn't happen.

After the initial set-up, it works quite well with my Nintendo DS and Wii.
After I purchased this item, a few days later I got notification that it was out of stock and they refunded my money back to my account. I went to a GameStop to purchase it and they guys who work there (who have the best interest to sell you everything they have) told me that the item is not worth it. I'm better off just connecting the Wii to my wireless router at home. Which I did, and it works perfectly. The item is not really needed.

I'm about as happy as I could be with the Impact case. Carrying around a slippery, glass-fronted device, I was primarily looking for a case that would provide good energy dissipation in the inevitable event that I drop-kick it across a room when fumbling for keys. As such, an unyielding hardshell case just wasn't ideal. The fitment, bracing, and silicone material of the Impact are a well-thought-out means of limiting shock intensity (although I thankfully haven't tested it to any considerable extent).
The Impact fits the phone snugly, provides a good textured grip for the hand, and doesn't drown out the mic and earpiece like poorly-fitted units. All slides and buttons are easily accessible - perhaps even more so than without case since my hand isn't slipping all over the glossy shell. Relatedly, the Impact adds very little size to the phone and weighs next to nothing.
The included screen protector works great too - I'd heard of rainbow refractions and a slightly-milky appearance, but cleaning the surface well beforehand and working carefully resulted in a crystal-clear application. Can't tell it's even in place. No complaints on that front.
I could do without the circular port on the back of the case, but it does nothing to harm structural integrity and it displays my MS sticker effectively. ;) It will certainly do the same for the Apple logo, however! The thickness of the silicone protects it from most direct scratchin' contact.
My second option in terms of cases was the Otterbox Defender, but I felt the Impact would suffice for day-to-day protection, and thus far this has certainly proven to be true.
The OtterBox Impact offers good protection for the iPhone and makes it easier to hold. The case does make it more difficult to remove from a pocket, that is my only real gripe about this case. It is easy to install, is quite durable and a good value. I also have the OtterBox defender case, which affords a higher level of protection than the impact. But is quite a bit larger and not for everyone. If you don't need the highest level of protection for your iPhone, the Impact case should serve you well. My wife has the Impact case for her BlackBerry, she loves it. The OtterBox folks make a great product, I would always give them a look when considering a case for just about anything.
The Otterbox works great to protect from drops and it lets you grip the phone and not worry about it slipping out of your hand like I did before.
I have had this case for about a month now, and it works great. Doesn't attract scum (dust/hair) that other silicon cases seem to. Cleans off very easy and seems to have a reasonable amount of protection. Also has a nice tactile feel that makes the phone a little less likely to slide out of your hands.

(iPhone - Best Armband Case)

I purchased the defender armband so that I could bike with my iPhone 3GS while it was in my otterbox defender case. Unfortunately, the third time I used it the silicon armband tore at the corner as I was securing the device. Otterbox was extremely accomodating in sending me a new armband even though I did not buy it directly from them. Be very careful when you stretch the molded silicon in order to insert your defender case. Stretching the silicon armband to secure the corner of the defender case, especially if you have any fingernails at all (I am a guitar player), can cause the silicon to tear straight through, redering the armband useless. I should think women with long fingernails should be particularly careful.
I ordered this item because I love my Defender Iphone protective case and don't want to take it apart and this works great.
I have had an OtterBox case for my 3G iPhone since 2 weeks after I got the phone, but that case is really inconvenient for use in sports activities (it doesn't quite fit in the pocket and can be awkward to hand carry when you need your hands for steering a bike). It was not clear at-first whether this arm-band would work with the iPhone 3G Defender case, but I asked OtterBox directly through their web form and they cheerfully confirmed compatibility.

The arm-band works great, although the strap-loop tends to get bunched up if over-tightened, otherwise it holds the OtterBox quite securely. Most likely due to the larger size of the iPhone 3G, the rubberized material of the strap doesnt quite seem to fully seat over the OtterBox, however when a set of head-phones are installed through the conveniently placed voids, it becomes impossible for the phone to simply fall-out accidentally. The stretchy rubber material of the holder has a fairly high level of friction and takes a couple of insert/remove tries before the process becomes automatic.
I ordered this product for my brother - he loves his iPhone! I got this along with Otterbox's Defender case.

My brother loves them both. He now normally keeps his iPhone in the Defender case at all times for the great protection. He uses the armband, though, at will, and at odd times (not just outdoors or physical activities - sometimes in sessions, meetings, etc. if critical subjects are under scrutiny that merit priority attention, sometimes just for his convenience if he's on the go and using the iphone heavily (airports, flying) = doesn't have to get it in/out of a hip case).

Otterbox makes great, quality products. Recommended if you want an armband case for your iPhone - one of, if not, the best.

I was sent a case for 3 g I phone the invoice clearly stated that it was 1G and it was gift I gave it as a gift to someone that really helped me out
well needless to say I was real embarrasssed with the mistake the shipper
made I offered to send it back and he said maybe someday he might get a 3
g phone and thru it in his truck it sure made me feel small the cases are great when you get the right one......my expereince was bad
I read lots of review for the Otterbox for iPhone 1g. The most frequent complaint I saw was regarding the oil slick under the screen. I have been using this case for about three weeks. I did notice the oil slick when I put the phone in the case but after a few days it was gone. The oil slick evaporated.

I needed to get to the mute button which required that I open the case. When I snapped the case back on the phone the oil slick reappeared. Again, after a few days, the oil slick was gone. I do see bits of the oil slick from time to time but it is minimal.

I feel that the oil slick issue is overblown and that it was written immediately after receiving the product. Have patience and the issue will go away.

I have a first generation iPhone and have been using this case for a year. If you are looking for a protective case for your iPhone, I think it is one of the very few good choices out there!

Some of my friends told me that it is a bit bulky; however, I am kind of an active sports person so I want to have the maximum protection I can have. Although this case is not completely 100% water proof, it can stand almost everything except if the iPhone gets emerged under water (OtterBox does have a water-proof case for iPhone, if you are a hard-core-water-sports person). I have been using this case traveling and hiking around. I am especially impressed by its durability. One time, I was riding my bike and had my iPhone in my pants' pocket listening to music. All of a sudden, the phone fell out of my pocket onto the ground. It happened so fast that I could not even stop my bike. As a result, the rear wheel of my bike ran over the iPhone!! At that moment, I thought it would be over; but guess what, it was completely fine and worked as well as before!!! Without the OtterBox case, my iPhone would have gone for a long time.

Most of the complaints I have heard about this OtterBox case is that the membrane covering the screen creating a lot of glare. My solution is to put a anti-glare skin on the screen first before I put the phone in the case. It solves all the glare and oil bubble issues.

You know what is the most awesome part of this case? The silicone layer got wore off after one year. I read the warranty and it says that the case carries a life-time warranty. I thought it did not include the silicone skin. However, I love this case so much so that I wrote to OtterBox and asked if I could purchase the silicone skin only. Guess what? They told me that the silicone skin is also under warranty; as a result, I am going to have a replacement for free!

I just totally love this case!

I really have two thumbs up (three if I had three) for this product if you are looking for something really protective but not overly bulky. I know most people are using 3G iPhone now. OtterBox also has a case for the 3G iPhone. I do not have one but I can imagine its quality, if not better than, should be as good as the one I am having now!
This is by far the best iPhone case I have ever used. Nevertheless it is not perfect. My gripes would be the oil slicked looked of the screen cover...tried everything suggested to remedy, but in the end had to run an adhesive screen cover under the Otterbox one. Only other complaint is how badly the case muffles the speakers and earphone...had lots of people on phone calls say they had trouble hearing me. I actually cut away the speaker and earphone cover material and now is all well in the world!

The thing is rock solid and gives great piece of mind that my iPhone is very protected. I would highly recommend this case over everything else on the market. If I had to chose a second place case, it would be the Oakley.
I have read all the reviews, good and bad. Having said that, the Otterbox for the iPhone 3G is the best thing since "sliced bread." Yes, I know there are some issues with the mute button. Drop it once (as I did) and you will find out what mute really means. Then there is the oil slick... Well, when you open the package you may notice that your Otterbox is oily and generally appears to have come from "oily" origins--possibly a petroleum based product? Here is my cure for that: (1) Take the Otterbox apart and gently rub both pieces in warm to hot water (yes, water) with Dawn (yes, dishwash that cuts "oil and grease") (2) Rinse thoroughly in clean, warm to hot water (3) Allow to dry completely in open air (4) Take some cleaning solution used for contact lenses and clean the front of the iPhone and the otterbox clear cover protector, front and back (5) Allow to dry thoroughly and you're in business. Final note, don't get silly with the water and dawn, be very conservative and warm to hot water is key. Do not submerge the phone; just wipe the front and don't allow any water to seep in; use good adult judgment. Last, this is at your own risk but worked great for me. I have no oil slick and is clean as a whistle. Even the Otterbox is not oily feeling anymore. So, in closing, just love your otterbox, care for it, clean it, and it will never fail you--like a trusted friend :).
