Construction is high quality and best of all the design is the best I have found. The best feature of this holder is that the arms are flexible (if you order the Form version) making the Ped compatible with nearly all cases for the iPhone. I have another brand that was quite expensive and matches my iMac very well but only fits if the phone is sans case. That is a hassle for me. I did find that the adhesive does not stick to my dash as others have stated but the surface of my dash is not smooth. I am fortunate that the base is a nice snug fit in one of my cup holders. Thought Out is planning a cup holder specific version (according to the web site) and I will be ordering that one when released. The NAJA King flex holder solves the problem of holding the iPhone (or Touch) while watching video in flight. Just coil it around your neck and position accordingly.』

I use it every day in my business since my iPhone is also my GPS. This is simply put the best mount I have ever had for any of my smart phones! I use the Zagg cover with my iPhone and this does work fine with it, holds it very snugly in place so that the iPhone cannot pop out of the holder.』
(Best of a bad bunch.) 『I bought the PED 3 rotating car mount because of its slim lines and versatility. It wasn't as good as I expected though. The base is not metal but plastic. Where the shaft screws into the base, you have thre options for different angles and positions - there is one metal thread, but two plastic ones - so be very careful not to put the shaft in crooked or you will strip the thread. I wanted to stick mine to the dash of my car but it didn't stick at all. I purchased another sticky pad and repeated the process following all of the instructions but it still didn't stick. My car is a Peugeot 206 and some cars surfaces may simply not be suitable. My backup option was to use the suction cups but these are very difficult to jam into the holes of the mounting plate. I stripped one of the suction cups and had to order another as it kept falling out when I stuck it to the window of my car. I suggest you heat the suction cups in some very hot water (not boiling) for 30 sec and they will become nice and soft to squeeze into the hole on the mounting plate. This should suit most peoples needs and I expect although you may have some problems as I did it's a better product that those giant chunky suction-cup and air vent mounted units.』
(Options - and more options!) 『My car seems to be designed to make PDA holders just not work. The cheap vent installs don't fit the vents, the dash surfaces all seem to be curved or textured in some way, and in general just a pain to deal with.
This holder offers four different mounting options (stem into the dash, and the bracket mounted by screws, glue, or suction cups). Further, the mounting bracket has three holes for the gooseneck at different angles. The gooseneck is flexible enough to position almost anywhere the holes point it, but stiff enough to let you turn the iphone on and use the touch screen with only a little motion. The iPhone then turns 360 degrees to get it oriented the way you want.
There are certainly cheaper mounts - but I've not found any that work as well in my car. I've seen mounts that looked better - but they didn't really have a good option for mounting in my car. This is the only one I've seen with enough options that it should mount in almost any car.
Just one caveat - some mounting/gooseneck positions can leave the weight of your PDA on the gooseneck unscrewing the gooseneck from the base. This is easily remedied with a little pipe tape.』

So switching from PHP to Objective-C has been a big change for me. I have purchased 3 or 4 different books on beginning iPhone Application Development (including one on Objective-C) and they all seem to either gloss over the fundamentals, or give unnecessary explanation making things even more confusing. They have made it slow for me to get started creating iPhone Applications.
This book has been an excellent guide to getting started with Objective-C and the iPhone SDK. It starts out by explaining the basics of Objective-C and Cocoa, including memory management, which PHP developers aren't usually concerned with. Then talks about the development tools you have to work with and how to get started using them. The rest of the book is chock full of examples that are essential to creating iPhone applications.
If you're the kind of person that likes to learn by example, then this is the book for you. It gets straight to the point, with clear explanations, without making you wade through a bunch of lengthy tutorials.
P.S. I just realized that I got my start as a PHP programmer because of a Visual Quickstart PHP book. I must be a fan of the Visual Quickstart Guide books because I really like the layout of the pages (how they give a code sample on the right and an explanation on the left). I just think their books are really effective.』

(Finally trying to learn iMovie on my Macbook) 『I just received the book "iMovie '08&iDVD" that I ordered here on Amazon from CollegeBooksDirect who sells here on Amazon. I went with their cheaper price and they were on Amazon where I like to buy most of my online purchases of books, merchandise, products, etc. I know how to edit videos and burn DVDs under windows - I record TV, edit out commercials, and burn to DVD or make DivX videos, or I do home videos and edit those - but now I have to learn how to do all that on a Mac. I have a Macbook running Tiger and it has iMovie '08. I know that Leopard and iMovie '09 (with iLife '09) are currently available right now at the time that I am writing this, but I don't plan on upgrading until Snow Leopard is out and probably iMovie '10 may be coming out by then. So, I have iMovie '08 here and I have to learn it. The first thing that puzzled me was how to do transitions and how to do titles or running text on the screen. How do you do that in iMovie. Agh! So I stopped peeking at what iMovie does on my Macbook. I was putting off learning iMovie since I still had the comfort of my windows pc-tv video system to edit with. But I wanted to learn iMovie. So I got this book. Now about transitions and titles. There's a whole chapter on transitions in this book. Yea! And there's also another whole chapter on titles etc. in this book. Double Yea! So I'm done. Well, not quite, but that's all I needed to know for now. I know, I know. There's more to learn. But I didn't turn to a book to learn how to edit video with Nerovision on my windows machines. But with a Mac, maybe it's because it's a different world, I needed a book. There's online tutorial stuff out on the net to search for, but having a book particularly these "missing manual" books by David Pogue are a great crutch to lean on and learn from when going over to the Mac side of the computer world. I also have the "Mac OS X Tiger: Missing Manual" book which I found useful in that other book's chapter(s) for learning more about the unixy side of the Mac. These books are cool to flip through for if you want more in-depth how-to information because you really don't get any printed manuals with the Macbook. Thanks for reading!』

(Just Switched from a PC to a Mac) 『One reviewer suggested this was a good book for the beginner, and he is correct. However, if you don't want to waste your time with curse-filled hours of trial-and-error, get this book. I've used a PC for 25 years and made the switch to an iMac this year, most frustrating at times, because Microsoft and Apple don't use the same words to describe common procedures. The Mac came with iMovies and no manual for it. Mac help is pathetic, and days of sifting through a Mac users forum is no fun. I'm converting old analog VHS and 8mm tapes to digital using a Canopus ADVC-55 converter, and wanted to do some still photo splicing, voice over narration, add music soundtrack from a vast iTunes library, then burn to DVD, and was incredibly frustrated until I got this book. Great tool, life is much better, and the wife doesn't have to listen to the bitching anymore. iMovies is a nice app, but for those of us with a mind organized by MS Wndows, it's not totally "intuitive" - one of the words I hate most when talking with computer geeks. Get the book. If you're an expert, have fun with your trial-and-error. I've got better things to do with my time than flop on the deck like a fish.』

(Just as promised, but buy two) 『I purchased the Mivizu Nike+iPod sensor pouch so that I could avoid having to buy some lousy pair of $100+ Nikes in which to bury the Nike+ sensor. The item was exactly as promised and arrived quickly. I would say based on the price and the quality this is an excellent buy. Probably one of my top ten purchases ever - value-wise - on Amazon.
The only two caveats:
1) Buy more than one. They are super inexpensive and if you are like me, you have more than one pair of running/workout shoes. It's worth adding a couple more to your cart now rather than finding out how convenient and great it is and having to put in a whole separate order. And once it's on, you are definitely not going to go through the hassle of unlacing everything just to transfer to another shoe. "Set it and forget it" to quote some cheesy late night infomercial that escapes me.
2) If you have already been using your sensor, you will want to recalibrate your stride/pace with the Mivizu set up. The reading will be different and the data will be off if you don't. That's simple enough and will make life easier in the long run.
In short, great product, great price, good shipping options and highly recommended.』

(Good Portable Speakers for iPhone) 『It is not always convenient to wear headphones with my iPhone when working on projects around the house. Therefore, I wanted to find some speakers that were very portable, shielded from the cellular signal and reasonably priced.
I purchased these speakers about a year ago and, overall, have been very pleased. Since it is a single unit, it is ultra-portable. No speaker wires to mess with. Also, the battery life is better than I expected (I don't usually trust what is listed in the product specifications). The sound is good, but not great. However, speakers with better sound are usually twice as much as these. So, I believe that these speakers are a good value. I also like how the AC adapter fits in the dock when putting it in the carrying case.
I don't like the remote control. It seems very poorly made and feels like it is going to break when I push on a button. The control buttons on top are also flimsy. They have worked thus far, but Logitech should increase the quality on these in the next version of this product.』
