Core2Duoノートレビュー 's review (Nice Looking Case - Extremely Fragile Coating - Terrible Customer Service) 『I purchased this case at the Apple Store in August and loved the way it looked, fit, and felt. My impression was that it actually improved my iPhone significantly. The matte finish didn't pick up fingerprints like the back of the phone, it is slightly grippy without being at all sticky, and it covered over the "I have an iPhone!!!" Apple logo on the back.
This feeling lasted exactly two weeks. At that point, I noticed that the black color of the case seemed to be flaking off, revealing shiny clear plastic underneath. I had not dropped or scuffed the case, and had carried it only in a pocket that contained no other items. I would expect any product to still look absolutely brand new after two weeks of being carried in a cloth pocket and only gently set down on clean surfaces, but that treatment was too rough for this case.
I now have areas without the nice finish (which I now realize is just paint). In fact, it appears that this item is just the clear Air Jacket with some black paint on it. I had expected that any minor scratches in the case wouldn't show up very prominently because of the black material that I assumed went all of the way through the product. Now, it seems that even rubbing on soft cotton in a bag or pocket will do permanent and very visible damage to the finish, and that it will do that damage almost immediately.
I wrote to Power Support in September, and still have not heard back from them as of the end of the year, even after repeated attempts on my part to follow up. The phone number listed on their official website doesn't ever have anyone to answer it, and all of the email addresses they list on their site (including the one that is supposedly for the Vice President of the company) lead to the same auto-responding "trouble ticket" system and nowhere else.
When I bought this product, I expected it to be a one-time $30 purchase that would keep my phone in good shape for the entire time I owned it. Now, it looks like Power Support expects their customers to pay $30 a month for the product -- at least if they want one that is still intact every time they use it.』
(This is a great case for the iPhone) 『This is my second case for my iPhone 3G. I started with the Elan Form, which is nice too, but bulkier than this one. I like this black version of the Air Jacket because it's rubberized, but not as grippy as some of the silicone cases out there (I can still slide my iPhone out of my pocket with this case, and it doesn't seen to be a lint magnet). The clear version of this case is hard plastic.
This case just snaps on the back, and comes just over (and protects) the corners of the phone so you can still see the metal band on the front. It's got a great form factor and is very thin. I've shown it to friends and they love the way it looks. It doesn't extend over the front of the phone, so I put on the anti-glare screen protector that comes in the package (there's also a clear protector included if you prefer that look), and together the phone looks great. Plus I don't see smudges on my screen anymore.

I proceeded to use the charger and did so for a couple days. However, on or about the 4th day I went to plug the charger in to my iPhone. I did so and as soon as I did I heard the sounds of electricity. I looked down at the wall and saw the charger short curcuiting, sparks shooting out and it even produced a couple flames. I immediately ripped the charger out of the wall and disposed of it. Suffice to say the charger was faulty and it was a complete loss. Now, I might have just recieved a faulty one, but I would say buyer beware of these cheap chargers, they might cause more damage than they're worth.』

(Yeah, it charges, but...) 『I've had problems using my iPod touch while it was plugged in. If it's not plugged in to the iPod all the way, and even sometimes if it is, it interferes with the touch screen. I have to unplug it and plug it back in to the iPod.
Also, the LED indicator light is very bright, so not good for putting next to your bed. It also heats up a great deal.
So it charges, but no telling if there is any long term damage being done to the battery.』
