『Amazon sold this through another vendor. Right out of the box it did not work right. I needed to freeze 56 lbs of meat from an elk I shot. Unfortunately, the unit just would not vacuum enough air out of the bags. Trapped air will result in freezer burn. Plus, it made all kinds of loud noise when attemtping to vacuum. When in sealing mode, the red light would flash and more often than not would fail at sealing. I called the company. The technician could hear the noise over the phone and told me it was a faulty pump. Okay, I guess there are a certain percent that are lemons. I could have returned it to the vendor or exchanged it through the company's warranty program. Since I had the company on the phone, I chose the latter. As soon as I had a UPS tracking number on my return to give them, they shipped me a new one. The good news was they upgraded my unit to the V2460 and let me keep the rolls of plastic that came with the original. This offset my return shipping cost. I had to temporarily freeze my elk meat in zip-locks while all this was going on, and yes, it was starting to freezer burn already in spots where air was trapped. The new unit works pretty good. I got the job done, but it would be nice if the vacuum was a little stronger and able to get more trapped air out before stopping and going into sealing mode.』

(Helpful hints when using your FoodSaver)

『Excellent product! I've had a Tilia FoodSaver Vac for about 9 years (I asked for it for my birthday) and have never had a problem with it. If the person who said that one corner didn't seal will check the rubber on the lid, it may have slid to one side and isn't making contact with the bag when trying to seal it. This would make it not seal completely. No one has offered hints to make using the Tilia FoodSaver Vac more economical or practical so here are some suggestions: (1) When making a bag, if the meat(as an example) is a steak 8 inches long, make the bag at least 12 inches long. The reason for this is that the bags can be washed and reused over and over until they're too small to use and still seal.
(2) After sealing the bag, there is about an inch of waste bag material on the end you just sealed so take a felt tip marker and write on that end, what it is, the weight, and the date. When you open the bag to use the "meat", cut off the end you wrote on, wash the bag, reuse it and write on the new end when you seal it again. (3) For sanitary purposes even though I wash the bag, when I reuse it for meat, I wrap the meat in plastic wrap before putting it in the bag. (4) If you want to put liquid in a bag for sealing, put the liquid in a zip lock bag and freeze it and when it's frozen, take the contents out of the zip lock and put it in a Tilia FoodSaver Vac bag and seal it as you normally would. If you try to seal a liquid in the bag unfrozen, the vac will pull the liquid into the motor and ruin it. I hope this helps some of you.

P.S. To thaw the meat I run HOT water in the sink and immerse the bag and leave it to thaw quickly. Thinner meats like chops or some steaks thawing will take about 15 minutes and naturally thicker ones take longer. I check by trying to bend the meat (still in the bag of course). If it's totally flexible it's thawed. If you want to thaw meat that's not in a Vac Bag just take a gallon zip lock type bag, put the meat in it and start submerging the bag. Zip the bag closed all but one corner which is kept above the water line and as you submerge the bag the water pushes the air out of the bag right up through that corner. Carefully lower the bag to the zip line and seal it. Now you have a vacuumed bag. If you don't have a vac machine and want to freeze something, do the zip thing in cold water, dry the bag and put it in the freezer now you have a cheap vacuumed, sealed bag and your food will last longer with the air removed. I've been doing this for years and have never ruined meat, ever. It beats leaving food on the counter to thaw for hours or in microwave to partially cook and get tough.』

『What a fantastic dvd combo, Who could forget Mr. Hooper's Store. This brings back great memories when i saw how young Bob and Louise were.And Kermits News Flash , forgetful Jones . Sesame Street 40 years of great television.』

(Before Elmo was king)

『This DVD set was nostalgic and at times almost brought tears to my eyes. For those parts (The ladybug picnic, The pinball counting to 12, the cartoon typewriter, the cast iron "I", etc) I would give it ten stars. Sesame Street literally shaped my life as a young child. I watched it religously until age seven (I'm thirty-five now). The reason for my three star rating is because of the lengthy songs and dull skits, which unfortunately took most of the time. Leena Horne singing didn't do it for me at five and she especially doesn't do it for me now at thrity-five. Sorry, but same to you Diana Ross. I wanted to see more of the aliens ("yep, yep, yep...nope, nope, nope"), Bert and Ernie, Super Grover, and the Tiddly-winks (who were suspiciously absent).

Watching this DVD made me realize how they should now call Sesame Street, just plain Elmo's World. That's who it's really all about now anyway. I loved the good old days when ALL the characters received equal billing. Now it seems like the first forty minutes of Sesame Street is just filler until Elmo, the big star, shows up. Don't get me wrong, I like Elmo, and so do my three little ones, but all the other characters have their own personalities and ability to teach as well. This DVD is a reminder of that.

So CTW if you're reading this, I would buy every single episode of Sesame Street from 1974-79 if you put it out on DVD. Stop teasing us with these short DVD releases showing only clips. To those of you who are thinking of purchasing this DVD set, I would get it, it is worth it. You're sure to see something that will bring back a memory.

(Definitely NOT Old School.......)

『I am/was a fan of Sesame Street, was born in 1971 and followed much of the show up until about 1980. As the Old School sets were released, I purchased them, and although they are not perfect by any means, they are a great look back at much of what made the show so magical. When I first learned about this DVD I was a bit hesitant thinking it would be repeating much of what is shown on the first 2 "Old School" sets, but because there were some segments that I felt the Old School sets were missing(The "O" song, Lowercase n and a few others), I thought I would give it a try. Well, sad to say, the first disc 1969-1989 is basically the best of the old school dvds crammed into one disc, sure there are some "new" segments, but much more that I would like to forget (Mr. Hooper surfing in Hawaii...was his back really that hairy?..some creepy Televisionmonster thing). So...if you are a fan of the Old School Sesame, then stick with the Old School sets, and skip this one. Hopefully they will eventually release complete seasons so we get to see ALL the good stuff.』

『First, a proviso. I love Sesame Street. Love it. Or at least, I loved it from when I was a child--from its inception until approximately 1980. So, I write this review with a heavy heart.

Second, I was always looking for the Old School content on this DVD. I would rather Elmo and the post-racial rainbow kids had never been invented. Roosevelt Franklin, writers who met social, racial and class conditions head-on, the music of Joe Raposo--this is what I wanted.

How disappointing. There is a minimum of new material from the Old School DVD collections. And Joe Raposo's name is not even prominent (is it even mentioned?) in the book that accompanies the DVDs. I'll have to read it again, but Jon Stone is fronted and Raposo is definitely in the background.

Anyway, I'll just have to keep hoping that the marketing gurus at Sesame Wallet Project see fit in the future to release our childhood memories more systematically and completely. We trusted you. Now give us back what we invested in you!』

(What a wonderful DVD!)

『I grew up with Sesame Street, and now that my kids are 1 and 3, I'm falling in love with Sesame Street all over again. This is a fantastic DVD! It's literally packed with wonderful songs, ABCs, counting, story time - all the things myself and my parents loved about the show when I was little. My son's favorite characters are Ernie and Bert, and some of the stand-alone DVDs I've bought for him over the past year barely mention them. With over 5 hours of Sesame Street on this set, Ernie and Bert get a little more screen time.
It's a good value too - the individual DVDs are ten or more dollars for 30-45 minutes, and this HUGE set is only 20. I'm very happy with my purchase.』

One can still have fun thinking of new zingers, since this dreck can inspire one to create new ways to say "yuck":
- Hannnah Montana is the musical version of a credit default swap.

『Both the video and book bring an interesting angle to the subject. It has been most helpful with a reflux baby. I would agree with his concept of a fourth trimester if you look at a when a baby's interactive and functional skills start to really come into play. (Toy Story 2)

『I ordered this for my young grandson when I couldn't find it in the local stores (was told they had to pull it off shelves). He loves the movie just as much as the Toy Story disk he has. 『"Toy Story 2," the Pixar computer-animated flick entertains us wildly, but also teaches a lesson: it's better to be a toy loved and played with by a child than be a toy admired in a collectibles museum. Woody the Cowboy (voice of Tom Hanks) is owned by Andy who accidentally almost rips his arm off.
Andy's mother puts broken toys out in her yard sale, and Woody, trying to save a fellow toy from the sale, inadvertently gets spotted at the sale by Al, a greedy toy collectible dealer. He gets stolen and taken away by the dealer. Woody's toy buddies trace the dealer and hunt him down in order to save their buddy.
Woody learns that Woody the Cowboy had been a very popular puppet in a television series in the fifties. Toy Woodys were made as spin-offs back then. Now he's rare and valuable as a collectible especially to the Japanese market. One of the toy gang out to save Woody is Humm, a piggy bank (voice by John Ratzenberger - Cliff, the mailman on "Cheers".) Woody meets and falls for Cowgirl Jessie, and he encounters a bad toy, Stinky Pete, the Prospector (voice of Kelsey Grammer of "Frazier" fame.) The toy dealer calls in an expert restorer who cleans up Woody and reclaims the use of his arm.
There are wild chases, escape scenes, some very close calls, and a lot of toy ingenuity. Don't underestimate the skill of toys engaged in a rescue operation. The action is non-stop, and the movie is great for all ages without adult references and innuendoes to throw the kids off. The scenes at the airport are scary and hair-raising. It's a toy trip that most people will enjoy.

Popped it in when my little girl was about 6 months and playing in her bouncy seat....she was hooked! Both kids absolutely loved these movies and actually I do too. Just a picture of these bright toys reawaken the kid in us. Filmmaker John Lasseter thinks of himself as a storyteller first and an animator second, much like another film innovator, Walt Disney.

The 10th anniversary edition of the landmark film repackages most of the extras found in the originalUltimate Toy Boxset plus a few more. Two keen retrospectives are new, one with an assortment of talents including Roy Disney and Peter Jackson chiming in on the film's impact. The other is a roundtable with Lasseter and three of the creators simply talking about the experiences without--thankfully--any cutaways to noisy film clips. There's a load of other extras since theUltimate Toy Boxwas one of the first and best DVD sets. Missing (besides the second film, which will be released separately) is the effects- and music-only tracks. Added is a whopping DTS soundtrack along with a remixed Dolby 5.1 track. The DVD has a higher transfer bit rate for a better picture, but only high-end enthusiasts will notice it. Since the film is a digital-to-digital transfer, both versions are eye-popping. A must-have set unless you have theUltimate Toy Box.

Lasseter's story is universal and magical: what do toys do when they're not played with? Cowboy Woody (voiced by Tom Hanks), Andy's favorite bedroom toy, tries to calm the other toys (some original, some classic) during a wrenching time of year--the birthday party, when newer toys may replace them. Sure enough, Space Ranger Buzz Lightyear (Tim Allen) is the new toy that takes over the throne. Buzz has a crucial flaw, though--he believes he's the real Buzz Lightyear, not a toy. Lasseter further scores with perfect voice casting, including Don Rickles as Mr. Potato Head and Wallace Shawn as a meek dinosaur. The director-animator won a special Oscar for "the development and inspired application of techniques that have made possible the first feature-length computer-animated film." In other words, the movie is great.--Doug Thomas

(A Lot Darker than Expected)

『I bought this poster for my classroom as a "gift" to my female students. Well, they were happily satisfied. The poster size is large and it's an authentic movie poster, but what I was not expecting was for the poster to appear darker in person than the image on Amazon would lead you to believe. Aside from Edward/Robert's pasty white face standing out from the background, the whole image seems to meld together.

It's not blurry, but the "foggy forest" artistry does take away from the clarity of the poster and makes it darker than necessary.

However, if you're a 15 year old girl, I can tell you they love the posters all the same.』

『I recived this poster last week from another website that I ordered it from. When it arrived, I totally forgot that I ordered anything, I was surprised to see how beautiful the poster actually is compared to what you see online. The colors are amazing and the actors fit into their emotions on the poster wonderfully.
