『For a while I was a pretty avid Twilight fan. I ended up buying every book, cd, and even the movie. I also went so far as to buy every Twlight poster they came out with. I have to admit this one is my second favorite. (Only second to the poster with the Cullens kids + Bella and Edward) It's a great poster to get any avid Twilight fan. Especially "Team Edward" fans. Plus, Robert Pattinson is very nice to look at.

Also, this is a decent sized poster, so be careful when handling it. If you're worried about tears/rips, be careful about what you use when sticking it up on your wall because if you ever have to move it, it may become hard to get down without it taking any damage. I guess if you liked it enough, you could laminate it; at least that way it should protect it. Or get those poster frames/plastic holders. They are a good way to ensure that your poster stays in tact and out of harm's way.』

『The seller delivered on time and the price was right as well. I just came away a bit dissapointed in the video itself. As the tittle states Phil is a great golfer but he leaves a lot to be desired as an instuctor. The video lacked detail and the content was weak as well. It was just ok I guess I was hopeing for a bit more from one of the best golfers in the world.』

『The Phil Mickelson Secrets of the Short Game video provides very detailed instruction on putting, chipping, pitching, etc. Mickelson describes his view on how the various techniques proposed, explains why he prefers the ones he uses over others, and then demonstrates these techniques. Drills are also provided. The explanations along with the demonstrations are easy to follow. I especially found valuable the discussion and demonstration of putting from off the edge of the green. I had never been very successful when doing this. Since I have watched the Mickelson video, I have had much greater success when using the putter from the fringe or beyond in lagging the ball close to the hole. In short, I found the Mickelson video well worth the money.』

My 13 month old loves Shimmie Shake, Day-O, You Make Me Feel Like Dancing! She can't tell the computerized backgrounds aren't real, and the new Wiggles have lots of costumes which make all of the songs colorful and the dancing is always energetic. This one unlike the two nursery rhyme videos does have some songs that are all music with no words which is why we gave it a 4, I'm not sure she is old enough yet to appreciate the dancing only.』

『The Snow White on Blu-Ray looks fantastic. A remastering of a classic... not much to say if you've seen Snow White. I love that it comes with a DVD copy as well. This is great so that you can play on the DVD player in the car for the kids, while still having blu-ray quality at home. Definitely worth adding to your movie collection.』

(A Classic Strikes Again)
『There is little I can really say about this movie besides the differences between it and the older classic we all know and love.

1. The movie has the option of showing paintings on the sides of the film to expand it to widescreen size. I used these and while they looked kind of cool didn't really feel like the biggest improvement to me.
2. The sound and picture quality is good but it's a really old film so you can't really push the level of detail up too much. It performs well given the medium, however.

In general, you likely can makedo with just the DVD. The fact this combo comes with both a DVD and a Bluray disk obviously is hinting that while bluray is likely the wave of the future not much has changed given it can't really.

I'd suggest buying this if you have a bluray player otherwise just considering buying the DVD alone if you can find it.』

『If you are a fan of the Disney Classics, you have to pick up Snow White on Blu-Ray/DVD Combo. They film has been remastered and has never looked or sounded better. We previously had Snow White on VHS and the difference between the two is astounding.

In case you haven't seen Snow White, I have to tell you to beware as it is quite violent. I watched it with my daughter and I was shocked at how much more violent it was than I remembered it. The Wicked Witch orders the hunter to kill Snow White and cut out her heart. There is also a seen in which the hunter is standing behind Snow White with a knife, in position to stab her. So, this may not be the best movie to watch with your little one. You might want to watch it first and fast forward through the scary parts when watching with a child.』
『One of the brightest nuggets from Disney's golden age, this 1937 film is almost dizzying in its meticulous construction of an enchanted world, with scores of major and minor characters (including fauna and fowl), each with a distinct identity. 『Hello I'm an autistic adult.

This is my review on A Muppets Christmas Carol - VHS.

I saw this movie when it first came out in the early to mid 1990's&decided to re - rent this movie from my local library for a week yeah they only give one week on movies but that's fine by me besides it's free. Anyway's it may be tad early to start watching christmas movies but I get bored easily&I love A christmas Carol (the book written by charles Dicken's) Anyway's I love the muppet version of A Christmas Carol as Kermit playing as Bob Cratchit,&Gonzo narrating Charles Dicken's story with Rizzo the Rat. Good family movie for everyone&extremely funny with Gonzo&Rizzo they were hilarious narrating. I loved it. Over all the muppets version of A Christmas Carol is right on the money for being accurate in following the book A Christmas Carol which is great what is exactly what I wanted to see in the movie that it followed the book in which it did. So if you want to get any movie that portray's to A Christmas Carol by Charles Dicken's this would be the most accurate movie. I've seen so far. I highly recommend this movie to everyone. The Book A Christmas Carol by Charles Dicken's is one of my favorite book's to read.

If you get into the Barbie movies like me there is only one I would not recommend to anyone which is called Barbie A Christmas Carol do not get the barbie version you'll be sadly dissappointed at how far off base it is from Charles Dicken's A Christmas Carol. If you get any christmas carol movie I highly recommend A Muppet's Christmas Carol as opposed.

『Muppet Christmas Carol has been my family's Christmas Eve tradition for about 10 years. I mean, we kept our lame old VCR down in the basement because we would forget to buy the DVD before Christmas each year and get stuck watching the VHS. I finally got motivated and ordered a copy for my parents and siblings.

The movie looks great, and the bonus features are pretty good considering the movie is from 1992. I SWEAR that a scene is missing from the part where Scrooge gets dumped by Belle and she sings that hilariously serious song "The Love is Gone." Not that I miss it, but we did notice it seemed shorter because we had less to make fun of.』

『I never thought I would change my mind about my favorite christmas movie but I have! This movie is now my favorite Christmas Movie. It makes you feel warm and fuzzy and christmasy. I have seen it 7 times already this season. I love it.』

(A Modern Classic - Fabulous in Every Way)
『I loved this movie from the moment I first came upon it. The plot is excellent and keeps you deep into the story wondering what will happen next. The actors are marvelous, each in his/her own way, very natural - in fact it reminds me of the old Jimmy Stewart movies that were so heart-warming, but this one is contemporary with modern themes. The film takes place at Christmas which is an added bonus. But I watch this movie throughout the year, whenever it comes on the Hallmark channel or if our family needs a group hug, I just pop it into the VCR. I highly recommend this film.』

(A Nice Show)
『The best thing about this movie is the acting. All of the charactors filled their parts so well that you forget it's a made up story. Carla Gugino convincingly potrays Emilie Thomson - a strong young woman trying to do whats best for her "kids" while being torn between duty and love in a society where red tape sometimes gets in the way of human needs. Her romance with the young police officer, Nathan Blair, was touching. I just wish they had taken the extra mile with the faith thing. Patty Duke played as an angel, but there was nothing about God or Jesus. It's weird how you can talk about angels and no one gets upset, but if you talk about God and Jesus, some people will lable you as religious and narrow minded. I also wish that they hadn't made Nathan "turn" on Emilie when he discovered her true identity. This movie is too short for that to be put in without messing up Nathan's charactor development. It certainly didn't do anything to help with the progression of his and Emilie's relationship. Probably the only reason why they put it in there was for a suspense ellement, and to teach a sound bite lesson on forgiveness . . . but I think it would have been better without. Thus said, it was a nice show and I'd reccomend it.』

(outstanding family movie)
『This is one (affirmative) family movie that will keep you on the edge of your seat on the first viewing. Will they be caught? Will the children be taken away from their aunt and given into the care of strangers? The fact that the man interested in the aunt is the local police captain adds to the tension. The resolution is credible and miraculous only for those who believe that nothing good ever happens.

This movie does a good job of presenting life in a small town without turning the town into a make-believe toy town, as so many Disney movies do. And the children are real and believable without being brats. Moviemakers who think that children have to be brats in order to be real should watch this movie.

If you like this movie, see the Little House on the Prairie series (if you haven't already). Also, Mary Christmas. Also, A Thanksgiving Miracle. All of these will lift your spirits and make you feel at home.

『This motion light is great!! Not only that it turns on the light when it detects motion, it also records a video clip on an SD card. Not an HD video, but good enough to identify the intruder and see the sorroundings.
You can choose to have 2 different warning voice announcement or a barking sound. You can select to have either the light, video and sound during the day and/or night.
It has 3 AAA batteries as time stamp and video recording backup in case of power failure.
It has a red LED indicator to let you know when the batteries are low.
It has another indicator light to tell you the status of the SD card.
Super easy instructions (someone said something negative about the instructions on another review. Maybe they had an old version or "something").
Good quality materials and craftsmanship.
I hightly recommend it. Instead of just spending the money on a simple motion light, you can get video and sound features.
The only issue that I had is they do not supply software for Widows Vista 64-bit.
I had to use my old laptop with XP to set up the correct date and time.
The program that came in the SD card is setup_1109 for Windows XP, but you can go to their website and download the one for Vista. Unfortunately this program is only for Vista 32 bits and not for my new computer wich uses Vista 64 bits.
This program that contains the driver is used to set up the correct date and time. Without it, the unit will still record the same way, but is going to show the incorrect date and time on the video clip.

『I bought this same unit at Sams for under $30 and it wasn't even worth that amount. The instructions were completely worthless and absolutely wrong in most areas. The actual hardware was of poor quality...the screws were so soft that they immediately stripped. The housing did not have enough room for the internal wires, so you couldn't shut the unit together on the final step. On top of it all, the camera quality is very low quality. This unit is a horrible product. Please stay away.』

『The unit has good motion detection and that is about all. The instructions do not work for the unit setup so you have to call Support. Support is good however. The really bad thing is the camera resolution. My three year old cell phone camera has better resolution. The video is washed out if the subject wears a white or light colored shirt. Anything within 8 feet or so is washed out. Beyond 12-15 feet the video poorly renders the subject.』

(Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince)
『I love the Harry Potter series and Half-Blood Prince is one of the best books in the series. To be honest i enjoyed the movie except for the beginning and the ending. I didn't care for the fact that Dumbledore had met Harry at the train station. I was really excited to read in the book that Dumbledore had gone to the Dursley's and took Harry out of there. I was also disappointed when they didn't have Dumbledore's funeral. They pretty much just let him lay dead on the pavement. I thought the cave was exciting and i was really happy that it turned out the way it did in my head when i read the book. I thought it was a bit dark and different for the Harry Potter series. I liked that the writters incorporated the fact that Tonks and Lupin were in a relationship. I thought that it could have had a better ending. All in all i like H-BP and anyone who is a big fan of the books would probably like me and be alittle dissapointed!』

『Wow, I laugh at the people who rate movies poorly based on what they read in a book. Books don't normally make for a very good film in the first place. The best thing I feel to do is to separate the two ideas of film vs. book. Two different thing and therefore must be viewed in two different ways. It's like comparing apples/oranges, Tupperware/tool boxes, Ford Temp/private jets etc.

I watched this one before I saw the others so I went back and watched 1 all the way up to this (I finally understand it). In comparison to the first 3 the films do get better as they progress; less character development and more of the good stuff. If you're wondering, I'm not much into reading fantasy books. I'd much rather read a physics text, engineering text, or even a dictionary (something educational). I get my fantasy time from watching movies.

Anyway, I thought the film was good and I'd buy the blu-ray for $17

(Remedial Movie Making Paid off!)
『I know what you're expecting me to say if you've read my other comments "this movie sucks I hate it!" well then I'm here to prove you wrong. I saw this movie in theaters and actually walked away pretty satisfied. The plot actually works. Some parts were a little quirky but some were necessary. Like having Dumbledore stare at a picture of a woman to skave off the rumors that he is gay. The makers obviosly wanted him to die with dignity so people wouldn't say: "Oh, well there goes the gay guy." while I liked this movie I do have some issues with it (ooo issues.) Harry's new love affair with Ginny was unexplained. It just seemed like one day he lookd at her and said oh wow she is good-looking. Using Dean Thomas as a ruse to make Harry jealous was slightly referenced but not convincing as she was perfectly prepared to snog Harry when he was at the Burrow, even though she didn't succeed. Ron's affair with Lavender was ended to abrubtly for my tastes but oh well. But as always the adaptations suck. One is where Harry, with no explanation as to why, is not at the Dursley's but at a cafe making dates with waitresses while the world is being destroyed!!! Also the destruction of the Burrow, not only was it unnecessary and cruel but immposible. In the book it explains that the Burrow has all the enchantments that Hogwarts has so the Death Eaters couln't destroy it, or even apparate to it. It seems like a pointless hit and run just to creat enmity between Harry and Bellatrix. then when harry almost kills Malfoy, a member of Snape's house, he gets caught by none other than Snape and just runs away and Snape lets him go without a word! Don't get me wrong the movie was good I give it an A for acceptable. Not bad but I expect better for the two part seventh one and hopefully either John Williams or Chris Columbas comes back, just a hope!』

It's in these intriguing scenes that the dark past of Tom Riddle (a.k.a. Voldemort) is finally revealed. The actors cast as the different young versions of Riddle (Hero Fiennes-Tiffin and Frank Dillane) do an eerily fantastic job of portraying the villain as a child. While the previous movies' many new characters could be slightly overwhelming, only one new key character is introduced this time: Professor Horace Slughorn (with a spot-on performance by Jim Broadbent). Within his mind he holds a key secret in the battle to defeat the Dark Lord, and Harry is tasked by Dumbledore to uncover a memory about Voldemort's darkest weapon--the Horcrux. Despite the long list of distractions, Harry, Ron (Rupert Grint), and Hermione (Emma Watson) still try to focus on being teenagers, and audiences will enjoy the budding awkward romances. All of the actors have developed nicely, giving their most convincing performances to date.

More dramatic and significant things go down in this movie than any of its predecessors, and the stakes are higher than ever. The creators have been tasked with a practically impossible challenge, as fans of the beloved J.K. Rowling book series desperately want the movies to capture the magic of the books as closely as possible. Alas, the point at which one accepts that these two mediums are very different is the point at which one can truly enjoy these brilliant adaptations.Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Princeis no exception: it may be the best film yet. For those who have not read the book, nail-biting entertainment is guaranteed. For those who have, the movie does it justice. The key dramatic scenes, including the cave and the shocking twist in the final chapter, are executed very well. (Good Suspense and Gorgeous Rome)
『Angels and Demons has the formula for success. Tom Hanks at the peak of his career, Ewan McGregor (Obie Wan from Star Wars), a gorgeous brunette leading lady, a spectacular city, Ron Howard directing, and a good simple suspense story that doesn't telegraph the ending too soon; equals a movie worth watching.

The film is based on another Dan Brown book that does have the feel of The DaVinci Code. However, the DaVinci Code's story line was convoluted and actually lost me more times than not; Angels and Demons is a good solid straightforward story, sometimes simple can be better. It isn't too kind to reveal the plot of suspense films, discovering the mystery along the way is a major portion of this film. Broadly the film is about the Illuminati that stole a vial of anti-matter from the Hadron / CERN particle collider. The group threatens to blow up St. Peters.

This is a gorgeous film. The scenes in Rome are incredible. Every detail feels perfect, the streets, the monuments, the driving, the people; I could almost smell the espresso and taste the gelato. My wife was lucky enough to spend two weeks in Rome, and commented about the perfection of the scenery - especially the Sistine Chapel (she spent an evening there with only 20 other people). The action scenes are well edited, Ron Howard builds tension, brings the scene to a climax and knows exactly when to move on - pacing is outstanding. The cast is beautiful. Tom Hanks was a big surprise in the swimming pool, and has aged very gracefully. Ewan McGregor has a beautiful British accent that is so pleasant. Ayelet Zurer as the CERN scientist is a gorgeous, intelligent, and strong woman. There is a wonderful chemistry between these characters.

The single disc DVD includes the theatrical release of the film, at 2 hours and 18 minutes run time. The film is about the right length. The disc includes a remarkable 17 minute bonus feature titled 'Rome Was Not Built In A Day.' I highly recommend this feature; it is one of the best behind the scenes footage I've seen in a very long time. There is also a 10 minute piece, 'Writing Angels&Demons' (kind of a yawner), 17 minute 'Characters in Search of the True Story,' and 14 minute 'CERN: Pushing the Frontiers of Human Knowledge,' (a somewhat fluffy science piece). These other bonus features pale in comparison to the 'Rome' feature.

The film is rated PG-13. The thirteen year old said the film was a bit too graphic in a few places. I'll admit there were some pretty gruesome scenes - an eyeball removed to work an iris scanner, people having their chests branded, and crypts full of human skulls. In fact to him, those gory elements lowered his rating of the film. Aside from the violence, there is no strong language, or nudity.

For some, I'm guessing this film is too simple and may play badly compared to the books. That's a common complaint with Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, and others. I sat back, relaxed, and enjoyed the story. The film took me to a city I absolutely love. The characters were believable. The mystery was decent. My only complaint, there were moments where the film jumped the shark. I found myself several times thinking, why didn't he get shot there, why did that person wave, how could that be possible, etc? In the end, those loose ends get tied up nicely, they are on purpose. In some regard the film does tie the story up with a pretty bow.

Simply go along for a wild, beautiful ride, through an amazing city, with some handsome people.

『I finished reading the book ( for the second time) 2 days ago.
I just finished seeing the movie.
I did NOT expect the movie to be entirely faithful to the
book because I knew there was too much info. and detail
in the book.
That being send,for me,this book to movie transfer was butchered!!
Why? Outside of the search for the four cardinals and the anti-
matter bomb there is little else that relates to the book.
The two MAJOR problems were the entire lack of motivation behind the
main characters actions and no character development.For example,in the book,the heroine,
Vittoria Vetra wants very much to be a part of the search for
the killer of her FATHER/scientific partner.In the movie she just
seems to tag along with Robert Langdon because she's just there.
In the movie the camerlengo kills and hires an assasin to kill because he feels his father the late pope is too liberal?
That's ridiculous.In the book his deep motivation is that he did
NOT know the pope was his father initially for many years.
He only knew that the man who became pope had looked after
him since he was a child.When the pope told him that he actually
was his biological son,the camerlengo was horrified to find
out that the pope had broken his vow of chastity.He had broken
his promise to God!!!This is what motivated the camerlengo in the book.
In the movie the assasin is just a cool unemotional hired killer.In the book he is a rabid nutcase who enjoys killing.
Because of the lack of strong motivation by the central characters
of the movie, it presents these people as having no depth and being more like cardboard cutouts.
Now for the ending.No I won't reveal it but,it reminded of
movies from the 50's where there is a miraculous event,and
everyone lives happily ever after.
I also feel that the makers of this movie were so wrapped up
in the set design and visual effects that they forgot about
character development.If you want to see a beautifully made
film about the slecting of a new pope, with great shots of Rome etc.,may I suggest The Shoes
of the Fisherman.In this movie they did not forgo character
development in favour of set design !!!
It struck me as strange that Robert Langdon virtually ignored
the stunning looking Ms.Vetra, yet in the the book he was strongly
attracted to her.
Personaly,I was really looking forward to seeing who would be selected to portray Max Kohler,the director of Cern.I think that part would have been any actors dream and if he was any good he
could have "chewed up the scenery."
Can anyone tell me the reason for changing the name of the cardinal who was chosen to be the great elector ( in charge of
conclave)from Mortati to Strauss or why the commander of the Swiss
guard was changed from Olivetti to Richter? Lastly why change the
design of the last branding iron? What's the point???
Lastly, I think ,to get the movie anywhere close to being like the book would have required 2 full discs because the book is incredibly detailed.

『THE DA VINCI CODE was easily one of the most lackluster action thrillers in recent ages. To be fair, the movie didn't have much going for it: miscasting in the lead role (Hanks is great, don't get me wrong, but he's not fit for thrillers); a short time frame (to cash in on the book's popularity); and a rather mediocre source novel (let's face it, Dan Brown isn't a literary master; he's just good at pushing buttons). The film had some good supporting performances, but overall it simply wasn't as good as a Ron Howard film should be.

ANGELS&DEMONS is an improvement from that. The film is pretty much a nonstop race to stop the religious terrorist organization Illuminati from setting off an anti-matter bomb. It picks up quickly and never rests. It isn't quite as good as the book--the novel, while no great piece of literature, is a decent-enough thriller, and far better than its sequel--but let's blame that on the PG-13 rating; the novel was gory and dark, with a truly haunting premise and enough truth-bending "facts" to make for a thoughtful (if not accurate) thrill ride. The film has toned it down a bit, honing the dark, rough edges to make it a little more palatable for movie-going audiences. And sure, it still doesn't feel like a Ron Howard film (anybody could have made this); and sure, Tom Hanks is STILL miscast; but we have three great supporting roles--from Stellan Skarsgard, Ewen McGreggor, and Armin Mueller-Stahl--and enough action for us to forgive the fact that the movie doesn't go as far with its subject as it should.

Of course, thrillers like this--where the facts are bent, where the action and cliched dialogue is laid on so thick that close inspection of the details is all but impossible--have their audience, and ANGELS&DEMONS delivers to that audience in spades. So, in those regards, this film is definitely worth seeing if you're a fan of the genre. If, on the other hand, you're like me and just wanted to kill two hours with some mindless entertainment, you can see this one or not; you won't be missing much, but it is, if nothing else, entertaining. Perhaps that's the best we can expect from mainstream Hollywood these days. (Though we certainly expect more from Ron Howard.)』

『I LOVE the book! I thought I would be dissapointed with the movie considering the other reviews. No, the movie did not follow the book and some of the characters are missing or different. However, this movie was great. The main storyline is still there and it makes a good partner to the book. I was much more satisfied with this book adaptation than I was with the Davinci Code adaptation. If you loved the book, I think you will thoroughly enjoy this movie. I love how it tied into Davinci Code with the score. For all of those who complain that the book is so much better....well of course, the book is always better because you form the movie in your mind. That being said...This movie is great!』

『Very briefly, I would like to begin by addressing some of the criticism concerning this movie.

Some are unhappy because the movie does not closely follow the book. This happens to be true but how many book-based movies do? For the sake of movie-making, Dan Brown's book was not followed to the letter or even closely. However, it may be worth knowing that Dan Brown was the movie's executive producer and he absolutely approved all the major plot changes. If fact, he confesses to actually suggesting some of the major changes. Perhaps those who read the book should treat the movie as work 'related' to the book but not THE book illustrated. It's still Dan Brown's work but this is cinematography that was inspired by his book, to be appreciated and enjoyed as a movie.

I heard statements that the book was somehow anti-Christian or anti-Catholic. I disagree. I will not reveal the plot by providing substantial details but the movie concludes in a way that suggests respect for religious faith and the Catholic church, in fact, comes out looking pretty good.

Angels&Demons besides being a feast to the eyes, it succeeds in arousing the viewer's curiosity in more than one area: contemporary physics, Rome's landmarks, the Vatican. And those who watched the movie and may find themselves in Rome and at the Vatican are more likely than not to actually look for some of the landmarks featured in Angels&Demons. In fairness, Angels&Demons does not come close to The DaVinci Code's Earth-shattering scope, depth of research and sophistication but it's still unmistakenly Dan Brown and those who enjoyed the Code will probably love A&D. Those who hated the Code are likely to hate A&D more. To me, Dan Brown's works are not art and they aren't science but they are great, well researched entertainment that often challenge the reader's/viewer's preconceived opinions and stimulate further research and investigation - and this is a good thing.

When it comes to acting Tom Hanks does not disappoint as Robert Langdon but Ewan McGregor lacks the gravitas we would expect from an acting Pope. All others are up to the job but I didn't see any Oscar-quality performances and didn't expect to.

The special effects - when it comes to the recreation of St. Peter Square and parts of the Vatican - are nothing short of amazing. Like I said, the movie is a feast to the eyes and, for all intents and purposes, what you see is always Rome and the Vatican, even when the cameras were filming some California parking lot.


PACKAGING AND PRESENTATION

Sony is totally throwing the kitchen sink at us with this Blu edition. As the Blu standard bearer and main promoter, they want to show us what Blu can do to make our lives a little more interesting. Everything that you can think of when you think Blu-ray and more 'is in there'.

Everything is good quality, starting with the Blu case which is not the cheap, perforated, almost falling apart kind that some of the lesser editions are using these days.

The decision to include both the theatrical version AND the extended cut on the same disc is responsible for this being a 3-disc set with a second disk carrying the special features and a third dedicated to the digital copies.

Technically speaking, the picture is, of course, a sharp 1080p and the two available sound tracks are both DTS-HD Master Audio in English and French. Surprisingly, the bonus features are shot in high-def as well with 2.0 stereo for the soundtrack.


SPECIAL FEATURES - BLU-RAY

Besides BD-Live, a number of interesting Blu-specific features are available with this release.

The Path of Illumination emulates a trail through Rome, following Robert Langdon's through 5 Roman landmarks. It has high visuals, interviews, footage from each location, even a dictionary where dozens of terms are explained. Anyone passing through Rome could walk the path with the Path of Illumination feature serving as a travel guide.

CineChat is another Sony attempt to promote more interactivity. It allows those watching the movie to organize themselves into a viewing party and actually have their chats displayed on-screen as the movie is playing.

The movieIQ option is a BD-Live powered option. It logs into and checks some online database and provides up-to-date information about the movie and specific chapters while watching the movie. Pretty cool actually and not over-distracting, especially considering that this is not information 'burned' into the disc and it is updated, at least in theory if not in practice.

The digital copy, if this can go under Blu-ray specific features, is available for the PC, PSP (via PS3), Mac and iPod. Expires on 2/12/2010.


THE OTHER EXTRAS

Not as interactive as the BD-specific ones, they are also shot in hi-def for the Blu version, there are lots of shorts about the 'making of', actors, special effects, as expected. The featurette titled 'Writing Angels&Demons' should be of special interest because it's there where Dan Brown confesses to his specific agreement and cooperation on altering the story. Another interesting extra is on the CERN. Finally, we actually get to see and hear the real-life John Langdon, the person who served as the inspiration for the Robert Langdon character - he specializes in 'ambiagrams', of course.


MY RATING

I found this movie to be entertaining and to carry sufficient 'substance' to merit watching maybe more than once. The quality of the Blu rendition is nothing short of exquisite and the extras, both Blu-specific and the regular ones are worth watching and interacting with.

Angels&Demons is a keeper and, as a work of entertainment, it's a 5-star in my book.』
