『I'd love to say these were fantastic since my sons are completely enthralled with trucks and tractors... unfortunately these are old footage, grainy and slow. It keeps their attention for a few minutes but just ends up running in the background. The voice over is dull and for some reason doesn't engage them. Really wanted cool truck footage but this is clearly old reel footage repackaged and just doesn't do it. One clip has been a hit... where they blow up an old mill. We just jump to that a lot. They're cheap for a reason.』

『It wasn't a miracle worker, but my daughter who is 2 1/2 years asks to watch it everyday. I think it has encouraged her to want to go to the potty like the other big kids on the video. I wish I would have bought it before I started potty training her. I tells the kids exactly what they need to do when they need to go potty. I think my daughter is about 90% potty trained and still improving.』

『I ordered several dvds online. This is the first one that came in. My son is three and we were having a really hard time potty training. He's super smart but something just wasn't clicking. We tried all we knew how. We put the dvd in and he watched it once BAHMMM! He wanted to go potty. Then he watched it over and over and over again! In the video it shows kids throwing diapers in a waste basket, No more dieapers for me, I'm a big kid now. Two days later he takes his diaper off and throws it in the trash. It wasn't even dirty. We were so amazed!! He would still have accidents and we had to actually sneak diapers on him while he was sleeping till he'd wake up dry everynight. He would get mad if we tried while awake. "I'm a big kid now! I don't wear diapers!!" I'd say, a little over a month it took before he'd tell us "I have to go" or just be in there by himself. We also bought the Go Potty Go video. He liked that equally as well. At the time we didn't know it was made by the same people till we watched the video. Our son would want to watch one then the other. Awesome DVDs!!!!』

『Ridiculous video that will make you sweat. Nothing from Billy Blanks beats this first edition. Every other video has long stretching sessions, while this one gets right to the point (stretch on your own before and after the full workout).

Sure, Billy forgets to do equal number of reps every now and again, but do it 5 times and you'll memorize where you need to keep going and when to stop to equal out your workout.

Sweat will be dripping... not for the faint of heart.

『This video made me realize how far you can go in life with just a little bit of hard work. The workout is tough, but completely worth it. If you're not a kickboxing veteran you need to start with the basic video and work your way up to this one. (<-This point is crucial.) But you will love it once you can handle the whole thing.

I'm pretty picky about workouts and get bored easily when I do the same routine, but unless you're one of the lucky few (celebrities, Socal residents, etc.) with a great kickboxing instructor live at your gym, this video probably beats anything else you can do. The intensity of the workout is amazing. And the moves target very specific parts of your body, so that you'll start seeing good results quickly.

Finally think of all the money (and time, if that's a consideration) you'll save from paying gym membership fees / driving to and from the gym. It's a good investment.』

The familiar moves fromTae-Bo InstructionalandBasicare here, but Blanks has put a little razzmatazz on them, adding slightly more complicated combinations that should be fairly easy to master if you've completed the first two tapes. 『I saw this black&white movie Canterville Ghost(1944) years ago. The cowardly ghost was funny. I was excited to find it on Amazon. The ghost tries to scare the guest instead they scare the cowardly ghost. Once again I enjoyed watching it but it wasn't as funny as I remembered. I also purchased the newer version in color of Canterville Ghost(1986)staring John Gielgud, Ted Wass, Andrea Marcovicci, and Alyssa Milano. This Canterville ghost wants the new owners out and is very mischief. We enjoyed both movies.』

『This is probably one of my all time favorite Christmas Specials! I wish they had it on DVD!

I first saw this special 17 years ago when I was 12 years old. And yes, at that poignant moment everyone has spoken of I wept. I get teary when I tell people about the special and talk about that part. Many people have never even heard of this special! It's short and sweet, and once you see it you'll want to make it part of your holiday traditions!

Many children today don't even know the story behind Christmas, and think it's only about Santa Claus, Rudolph and presents. Now that my boys are 4 and 6 I've started talking about the meaning behind it all, and would love for them to see this touching little story. I think it's important for children to know that there are those whom will give all they have for the ones they love, and that is a prominent part of this story.

For those that this "traumatized" I am sorry you feel that way. Yes, it's sad and tragic for a moment, but the feeling it evokes show that you have a heart and can feel empathy for the loss. It's not something I would shelter my children from, and think that it is one of the things that make this little special so memorable.

It hurt my heart seeing how Nester was treated, thrown and tossed around like that by his ears with that horrible look on his face and then have his mother die out in the snow, dear gosh I had to get tissues. However, the ending is wonderful, I just wish it had been longer to counteract the sorrowful beginning. 『This is about the only Christmas special that grasped my heart. But after watching Disney's Bambi and reading Felix Saltens original novel of Bambi. I noticed how for apart they were but how great Disney made the film. Most story books(Shrek, Pinnochio, ect.) have more story and random adventures that all can't be fit in. What does Disney do? He crops the story down a little to a (in respect) animated film. Looking at Nestor's special, I have to say they achieved the same thing Disney did, but there is a bit more of the story. The rest of feature all depends on the "what-ifs" and "fanfic"(stories written by fans). Rankin/Bass did do a good job. But Nestor
should have had a longer special to answer the questions we ask. "Why did he go back in the end" "Did Tilly purposely fall off the cloud?" "Who was that deer, in the middle seuence?"』

『The show in general (all 4 seasons) is very good. The characters are diverse and the show is action-packed. Every couple episodes you'll find your self questioning who really are the good guys and more importantly who are the bad ones. The only reasons it gets 4 stars and not 5 is

A.) Plot lines start to get repetitive
and
B.) It almost seems as if directors are running out of material and trying to stretch the show along.

But even that seems a little harsh. All in all its a good show worth watching.』

(Worse than season 2)

『Yes, apparently season 2 wasn't the worst of Heroes we were going to see. As we all know, the series started strong but disappointed with the season 1 finale. Then season 2 came along and didn't quite work, though it added some good actors (David Anders, Kristen Bell). And now season 3 does not only 'not quite work', it's also boring, unbelievable and just plain stupid.
The series' problem is the writing: Too often the stories are full of plot holes. Characters have abilities the writers suddenly forget about. There are revelations that just feel hollow (I really don't care anymore who whose mother or father is). And all in all, the series just goes nowhere.
The second half of the season is a bit better, but there are many more moments that just seem pointles: The wedding is the biggest joke yet, so is Sylar's quest to meet his father. One or two episodes near the end are a little bit better (the best one in my opinion is '1961', though that storyline also doesn't really matter), but I don't think the beginning of volume 5 at the end is a shape of better things to come.
During the course of the season, I was reminded of another series that also had such a dramatic decline in quality. It was called "Earth: Final Conflict". Remember that one? It started with very strong episodes and seemed like it was all thought through, and then suddenly with season 2 the writers just lost it. They had heroes with superpowers they sometimes forgot about, they wrote episodes contradicting each other, well... it's the 90s "Heroes".
And just as I didn't continue watching "Earth", I will stop watching "Heroes" starting with season 4. I just can't stand this show anymore.』

(Elf)

『I guess with this kind of movie, you have to get into a cheerful state of mind before watching it, since it in all fairness is so embarrassing to watch at times you want to sink through the chair. The premise is easily enough explained, a human orphan baby; "Buddy", (probably not his real name originally, but you'll see why) crawls into Santa Claus' sack and returns to the North Pole with him. He is there adopted by an elderly elf in Santa's employ, and raised as an elf, among other elves. Naturally, since he grows up to be gigantic compared to his cohabitates, he in the end resolves (as so many adopted children) to find his true identity and his real father in the human world. He travels south, to New York City, where his father is a bitter workaholic publisher, not foreign to shortcuts in the world of business and neglectful of his wife and adolescent son. Buddy in full elf costume, seeks out his father (who doesn't know of his existence) and looks for his recognition and love. The twist is, that Buddy really believes he is an elf and is steeped in "elf culture" (sugar is the basis of all meals, making toys and Christmas is what life is all about and generally to be of good cheer no matter how life treats you, etc). This to say the least collides with the post-European society New York City has become, leading to hilarious situations. Ferrell does a wonderful enthusiastic elf that had me on the way to the floor at times with laughter. James Caan (the Jewish tough-guy in so many films) fills his role perfectly, as does the charming Zooey Deschanel. One could have wished for a better child actor than Buddy's half-brother, but that is the only minus I can find in the film. It is of course also quite sad to see how post-European the US is becoming, a city that was supposed to be the new York, has little that reminds one of that today and less every year.

Little more need to be said, it is a wonderful film for all the family about Christmas, the little that is left of it in this ironically most Jewish city in the world; New York City. The film itself has a very "Jewish feel" to it, but not really in any bad way, it is respectful of Christian celebration and treats it mostly nice, although it of course is a very childish portrait. 5 stars and really one of the few "family films" that can be enjoyed by the whole family, if one is able to just laugh for 1,5 hours in these troubled times.』

『I purchased the Star Wars Luke Skywalker Light Saber as a gift last Christmas. I was happy with the order-to-ship time, packaging, and I got what I paid for: I better than cheesy light saber. This is not to say it is bad, rather to say that I wasn't expecting a great deal from it (have you seen the junk that is available out there?).

The bottom line: The kids LOVE this toy. They run around the back yard burning off 1000's of calories with this thing. They burn off energy and their creative minds go nuts playing with this toy. Amazingly, it has survived to this day through pretty rough handling (I thought it would have folded-over or been torn to pieces by now, but it has held up nicely).

Impressive. Great for the price. Get one if you have kids that like Star Wars and they need a creative energy outlet.』

『Like the previous reviewer.. I wasnt sure about getting Jolt...but after reading some reviews and seeing other pictures I went ahead and bought him. I am glad I did. This could easily become one of my favorites. I am an old school G1 fan and have always loved Jazz. But Jolt is just very pleasing to the eye..almost captivating. Very easy to get into robot mode and is extremely stable when standing. I am truly hoping the develop this characters personality in the next movie. From the back card on the box, could make for a fun addition.

『When I first saw pictures of Jolt, I thought his head sculpt looked horrible. When I saw how little he was in the movie, I was convinced I wasn't going to get him. I saw a few video reviews, however, and decided to check him out. I am so glad that I did. His robot mode is so well done. The head still isn't the best, but looks alot better in person. His panels can really be positioned however you want. I recommend the bumpers folded out, the back panels with the thin part up and almost flush with the back. His feet allow a TREMEDOUS amount of posability. Croutching, kneeling, leaning, standing, it's all possible. The blue of the car the the "Allspark" Blue all seem to fit very well together. His elctro whips are a little stubby, but they are cool for action poses. A warning, they have little sharp edges. Nothing too bad, though. His chest mold looks very cool done in the translucent blue, and the Mech alive featured in it is very nice. Waist rotates, and his arms and back can move around alot(his back due to transformation, you can actually make him look hunched over). His transformation is very fun and easy. Every piece seems to just go into place and fold out. His vehicle mode looks good. A bit of a dumpy looking car, but still nice. I would very highly recommend Jolt, and hope that he gets a bigger role in the next movie(or even some extra scenes on the ROTF DVD).』

『These days, suburban life is the stuff that TV sitcoms are made of. But Richard Yates' debut novel, set in 1950's Connecticut, shows us what lurks behind the picket fence. The story follows Frank and April Wheeler, a young couple who had moved in from the city, ready for the world. The problem is that the world had passed them by. Frank, once in search of greatness, is now bored to tears with his office job. And April, a failed actress, now struggles with life as a housewife. Equally frustrated with their lives, the two agree to move to Europe in order to distinguish themselves from the herd. But when an unexpected pregnancy squashes that plan, the Wheelers are pulled back into a reality that's as grim as ever.

After 463 pages of eternally cheerful neighbors, marital hell and one drinking social too many, life outside suburbia sounds pretty good. But Yates' narrative style tends to take the words out his characters' mouths instead of putting them in. "R&R" also suffers from the inevitable generation gap; in an age when the average American family can't pay their mortgage, who cares about a young married couple with a home fighting like an old married couple over unfulfilled ambition? The reader must then realize the encoded conventions of Yates' time, the unwritten laws and expectations that plague all the story's characters. And the way in which such conventions are challenged is what makes the novel so `revolutionary.'

(Road Not Taken Brings Tragedies)

『"Revolutionary Road" is a beautifully written, bitter (and bitterly funny) critique of lost opportunities and timidity. It doesn't evoke an era as much as it defines the era -- for it was one of the first and best books to challenge the notion that the Eisenhower years were truly satisfying to many Americans. It brings to the surface the tensions of the late 1950s that blasted through the crust of American society by the early 1960s and that changed ... everything.

For me, the writing evokes Richard Ford, with memorable phrases popping up every few pages. Also, the author deftly moves between action, dialogue, and characters' interior monologues (with those often playing out how a conversation or incident might turn out, only to then find that in reality, it turns out differently). It's rare to find a book so carefully woven.

The plot centers around the disintegrating marriage of Frank and April Wheeler, who moved to Connecticut to raise their children. Prior to having kids, Frank and April lived in a grungy Village apartment in Manhattan, and they entertained dreams of having the rich intellectual and social life that the city could offer. When April became pregnant, they did what most people do: move out of town so that they could purchase a house more suitable for kids.

But the move to suburbia left them both stifled and frustrated, and it exposed the many flaws in their relationship. The book takes place over the course of about a year, but it reflects back on problems that had been in evidence for much longer.

The power of this seemingly mundane plot comes from author Richard Yates's ability to evoke the sense of loss and longing that envelop Richard and April -- yet without making them fully sympathetic characters. Their fights are legendary: insults, physical contact, days of silence aftewards. Their drinking is prodigious. They cheat on each other. At times, they truly despise each other, but they don't have the nerve to try to solve the problem.

Neither Richard nor April truly has the talent to reach great pinnaces -- a vague sense on the part of Richard that he's an intellectual destined for a writing career, and a half-hearted attempt by April to be a stage actress. Neither of them really tried very hard, and, in fact, April's pregnancy early in their marriage was a bit of an "out" for them to take the easier route of a middle-class life. Though April suggests taking a big risk by moving to Paris and starting over again, but Frank backs away from his last chance to break out of the pack.

Then, real tragedy strikes this "safe" life. April gets pregnant again, and she decides she wants to have an abortion -- which was illegal at the time. And it goes badly, setting off the final demise of the family and its dreams.

Just like it's hard to imagine driving drunk all the time, which the characters in the book do, it's hard to imagine the horror that would grip a woman contemplating an abortion in 1960. It's always a traumatic decision; heck, a woman wouldn't be even considering an abortion unless having the child was going to be traumatic in its own ways, too. But throw in the illegal nature of it, and thus the dangers of a do-it-yourself project at home or a back-office procedure by an unknown doctor, and it's the stuff of genuine nightmares.

As a child of parents who were married in New York City in 1960, I've heard my parents talk about their own missed opportunities. Mostly those were from my mother, who had ambitions of a career as a psychologist and clinical researcher, which were thwarted by society's expectations that she should become a high school teacher. She did what was expected -- with a decade hiatus from the workforce to raise three kids born less than three years apart (twins in the mix) -- and she felt lonely and unfulfilled at times.

For me, the biggest message of the book is the way it evokes mixed blessing of having new opportunities emerge in the 1950s, but still having to fight against the strong tide of societal expectations that made those opportunities little more than dreams for many talented people. It's hard to put ourselves in that time and place today, because most people with an education realize that they can do many different things in their lives. But it just wasn't the case in the 1950s, when we were tantalizingly showing emancipated women and men seeking "meaning" in their lives -- but yet still restricting them to the grindstone through our consumer culture of the lowest common denominator.

The book really doesn't have much to say about pilots, but is all about space craft flown in the Star Wars universe. While there are a few non-space vehicles described, e.g. podracers, most of the book is dedicated to famous Star Wars vehicles. X-Wings, TIE Fighters, the Millenium Falcon, the Executor, Slave 1, and the Invisible Hand are all mentioned as well as escape pods and Republican gunships. The book is filled with pictures from the movies, which makes it attractive for young readers. Though this is a level 3 book, many of the words seem more difficult than that too me. However, the books chronological order makes it easier to make sense of it all. Overall, this is a great book for young Star Wars fans.』

『Henry Hill was a criminal, snitch, con artist, drug addict and betrayer of people that were more or less family to him so you have to take a lot of what he says in this book with a grain of salt. If you have seen the movie Goodfellas then this is the book that film was based on. The only difference I noticed between the two was the book goes into how they were running a points shaving/gambling scam with Boston College basketball players. As untrustworthy as Hill is the book itself is a fascinating/entertaining read and I don't doubt that the overwhelming majority of this book is true.』

『This book is very interesting in that it is a true story of a man who chose a criminal career purposely - and was not coerced into it by economic circumstances or ethnic background, i.e., he was not of Italian descent. The man's name is Henry Hill - unfortunately for him, later in life (beyond the time frame of the book), he had big troubles. The book explains how the 'mob' (Cosa Nostra) functioned. A particularly interesting character was Jimmy Burke, of Irish background, who was a 'hit man for the 'mob' - and also a clever and successful thief. Burke died in prison just a few years ago. All in all, the book is a good read and gives insights into the strange mentality of the criminal mind.』

(MOB (Many Overdressed Bums))

『Wiseguy by Nicolas Pileggi tells us about the life of former mob associate Henry Hill (he was an ASSOCIATE, not a MADE MAN). Henry talks talks about living life on the edge and being in the company of murderers, hustlers and thieves, and the events that led to his downfall and him becoming a witness against his former criminal colleagues. Even though violence in the Mafia was a way of life, the principal moneymakers were major thefts, hijacking and racketeering (the robberies at JFK Airport, the Lufthansa heist and the dozen murders connected to it, and the fixing of a college basketball game in Boston). Forget all that stuff you have seen in the Godfather (my favorite mob film of all time); this is the down and dirty street level view of organized crime from a perspective of a guy who once thought it was good to be a crook, and hard work and honest living was for suckers. However, he learned otherwise over the course of 30 plus years. One would learn that as a mobster the people you were close with in that lifestyle were never really your friends, and that all the money gotten through fraud or theft would be lost as fast as one was making it (gambling, boozing and women); a vicious cycle that one could really get no percentage from- just a lot of overdressed bums messing over good people as well each other over (not to mention cutting throats)! 『I'm a huge Mandy Moore fan&I had such high hopes for this movie when I first heard about prior to its 2006 release! I purchased this earlier this week at Wal-Mart and just now got around to watching it... Now I know why it took me so long to get around to buying/renting/watching this movie :(
It really wasn't very funny... stupid is more the word for it. The acting was good, but it's too bad the script sucked.

2 stars for at least casting great actors (for a horrible movie).

I'm glad I only paid $5 for it at Wal-Mart.』

『I'v enjoyed many films by Paul Weitz and his brother Chris. They generally display a certain sensitivity and and maturity that I like. I understand the reasoning behind the attitude of the story. But the approach is a bit too cynical for my tastes. This is a well made film, with great acting/actors. The overall mood was just a bit depressing.』

『I think it was Woody Allen who wrote, "Comedy is tragedy with distance".

The basic premise of AMERICAN DREAMZ is hilarious: To boost his popularity, the President of the United States agrees to appear as a judge on a television show, not unlike AMERICAN IDOL. The President, delightfully played as a moron by Dennis Quaid, is not unlike George W., his wife (Marcia Gay Harden) is reminiscent of First Lady Laura and chief advisor Willem Dafoe is a Karl Rowe clone.

The comedy, written and directed by Paul Weitz, also looks into the personal lives of the TV show's producer-host (Hugh Grant), a rather self-centered fellow, as well as two of the contestants, Mandy Moore from Ohio, who is sort of a female version of Grant, and Sam Golzari, a totally incompetent Arab terrorist with a yen for Broadway show tunes.

All of the performances are first-rate and the picture offers many amusing moments. The problem with the movie is that it also tries to find humor with the war in Iraq, where many people are being killed every day, and, worse yet, it has a major subplot that involves a plan by Arab terrorists to kill the President.

Unfortunately, this is a bit too close to the painful truth to evoke many laughs.

Even today, more than a half century after the event, one does not find humor in the Holocaust. You can make fun of Hitler, but not the Holocaust.

With this movie, you can poke fun at former President George Bush, but the threat of a terrorist plot to kill him is not funny.

Do we laugh at 9/11?

(Racist, Pretentious and Immoral)

『This film pretends to be a spoof about the current obsession with superficial fame as expressed through 'singing' 'talent' shows. Whoever wrote this film is not clever enough to pull this off.

The main characters in the film are :

1) An 'camp' Arab guy and his 'friend'. His colleagues want him to blow up the US president when they meet on the singing show (he is the finalist).
2) A blue eyed blond haired 'American girl' (the other finalist)
3) Her boyfriend (who wants to marry her)
4) The host of the show (played by Hugh Grant).

The problems I had with the film were :

1) It was hardly a spoof of this current 'celebrity culture'. This is evident in the fact that character 2) ends up being the 'good guy' character. She is portrayed as the sensible one in the film!
2) Character 2) ends up sleeping with character 4), yet character 2) still is portrayed as a good person in the film! In fact her boyfriend (character 3) gets so annoyed that he picks up the bomb which the Arab guy has dropped in the bin (he decides not to bomb everyone in the end) and threatens to kill everyone on set. In other words, the woman is unfaithful, but was portrayed in a good light and the man is ridiculed for being upset over his partner's infidelity! How ridiculous is this?
3) The portrayal of the Arab guy and his colleagues was the most reprehensible part of the film. First of all the Arab guy who is more western friendly is portrayed as lighter coloured, more camp (yes, they use 'campness' to signify western culture v. Arab culture) than the others. His colleagues who want him to carry out the suicide bombings are portrayed as more obviously Arab with beards, stronger accents, less western clothes and a backward mentality. The battle is basically portrayed as a western culture v Arab culture battle for the mind of Omar (the camp Arab guy). The Arab 'culture' is represented by suicide bombers. Of course, the western culture wins.

The film is dumb pathetic film and a (very small) part of the propaganda war that allows western governments to get away with the murder of so many Sunnis, Shias because they 'are all suicide bombers' who 'hate the west' and want to 'stop all of our liberties'. Subconsciously, many people who watch this film will walk out of this film with a small message of confirmation that Arabs are backward barbarians who are just dying (pun intended) for OUR help (the Taleban, Sadam Hussein, The Shah of Iran, the House of Saud, Hosni Mubarak etc etc)!!

And how many have died in the Middle East at the hands of such idiocy. And what have the Arabs ever done to us in the west (how many died on 9/11 v Iraq and Afghan wars - do the maths).

Whilst many will disagree with this view, I would only be interested if their disagreement is justified by sound reasoning.』

(How did I miss this at the cinema?)

『"American Dreamz" is a black-comedy/satire about an unwilling Middle Eastern terrorist who is called on to murder the U.S. President when he becomes a contestant on "American Dreamz", and "American Idol"-esque talent show.

When "American Dreamz" was on at the cinema, I thought it was just another stupid comedy making fun of reality-television, much like Ben Elton's "Chart Throb" (which I found to be disappointing, might I add). It was only when I found a cheap DVD copy of this film that I decided to give it a chance, and man, was I surprised. "American Dreamz" is smart, funny and highly underrated.

The idea of blending a comedy about reality television with a topical issue such as terrorism is just brilliant, and the script and the acting are great too. Hugh Grant is perfect as the self-absorbed Martin Tweed, host of "American Dreamz", a character so egocentric that he makes comments like "sometimes I envy myself", and Dennis Quaid does an equally good job as a President who bears more than a passing resemblance to George W. Book. Normally, I can't stand Hugh Grant, but for the first time in his career, I actually liked him. In fact, in the final scenes, he and Quaid had me rolling around my lounge room laughing. I think the thing that I liked most about this film, though, was the fact that all of the characters are written in a sympathetic manner. Writer/director Paul Weitz could easily have chosen to make fun of his cast of characters, but instead he seems to genuinely care for them and as a result he presents characters whom the audience can genuinely like and cheer for. Weitz did a similar thing in his directorial debut, "American Pie", and it was for this reason, I believe, that "American Pie" stands out as being one of the best teen movies of recent years.

This film came and went at the cinemas far too quickly and I think that is mainly due to the fact that most people didn't realize what this film was actually about. Now that it is available on DVD, however, it is definitely worth giving it a chance and you might find yourself as pleasantly surprised as I was.

『Highlights of the 2005 Masters Tournament This DVD is great for reliving the memories of the 2005 Masters, from Tiger's incredible chip shot on the 16th hole to the emotional ending you should add this one to your collection.』

(A great highlight DVD)

『This is a great DVD for highlights. This was an exciting tournament, considering Woods is unbeatable when leading after three rounds in a major. On the final day, Chris DiMarco almost pulled off the upset, after Woods bogeyed 17 and 18, and DiMarco nearly chipped in his third shot at 18.

My favorite part of the DVD is the coverage of "The Shot", the once-in-a-lifetime chip shot Woods knocked down at 16. The DVD starts out with a great angle of this. The camera used for this video clip was stationed almost at ground level directly across the green from where Tiger hits the shot, so your view of the action is like you are standing on the other side of the green looking in. There's no voice-over or commentating. It's pure video and audio, so you just see Tiger hitting the shot up onto the hillside of the green, and you hear the crowd's roar grow louder and louder as the ball crawls toward the hole until the ball sits at the edge of the cup, then the groan of the crowd as Tiger hunches down pleading for the ball to drop, then finally the ball dropping as the crowd goes crazy and Tiger pumps his fist. I don't know how many times I've rewound this. It's goose-bump material.

There's also a special chapter dedicated to this shot, with comments by Tiger. This DVD is worth the price just for this coverage.』

『I loved this disc. The quality of the video is amazing on disc...much better than what you get to see on television. I liked the coverage of the tournament from all the different angles, e.g. seeing the crowd react to big moments from the players. I really can see what it would be like being there...the disc really immerses you in augusta and the tournament atmosphere. You follow the players from preweek events, to the practice tee, and follow the leaders through the tourney. Nothing beats a tiger vs. dimarco show down either. Seeing Dimarco watch tiger blaze through the third round ahead of him and pass him on the leader board. Pretty cool. Watching tiger take control of the playoff hole, seeing jack nicklaus say good bye to one of his favorite venues, and seeing all the great shots of the masters...you can't beat this.

The only thing I wish it had was a flyover of all the holes. I really would like to see that on dvd.』

『For those of you out there that maybe are looking something like I did, that is, a video that compacted the action of the world's best golfers, this is not it, ok. I was expecting the highlights of all the major stars in golf to review their swing styles, but this is not the DVD intended for that. It is more concentrated in the tournament, Tiger Woods (of course!) and Chris Dimarco, not even all of the other top shots like Vijay, Michelson, Els, Goosen, Love, etc. have their own spot, instead just a slight flash of how they lost their opportunity.
But if you're looking for "Just the Highlights of the Masters" this is a good DVD. And don't expect a very elegant film production with great narration like those NFL films either.』
