Lightning McQueen (voiced by Owen Wilson) is the slick rookie taking the Piston Cup series by storm when the last race of the season (the film's high-octane opening) ends in a three-way tie. On the way to the tie-breaker race in California, Lightning loses his way off Route 66 in the Southwest desert and is taught to stop and smell the roses by the forgotten citizens of Radiator Springs. 『I purchased the PT-AE700U in early 2005, and have been impressed by everything about it, other than bulb life. This one is on its third bulb--all used at low power and high fan settings.
It is very enjoyable and satisfying to watch on a 12'/4' painted wall "screen". Everyone who has viewed it has been delighted with the HD picture, despite the fact that Blu-Ray is able to display more resolution than the native 720p of this model.
Easy to set up and use--and my feeling is the bulb issue is more related to improper on-off sequences and improper shutdowns. I now have it on an uninterruptible power supply and it is mounted on the ceiling. I have so far exceeded the life of both previous bulbs (the last had about 1000 hours on it before it grew so dim I replaced it).
SO--tbough bulb replacement is expensive, it is well worth watching movies and favorite TV shows on. Otherwise we can use our large LCD flat panel.』

『Ive owned this projector for over a year now and I love it. The picture is fantastic and colors are perfect. This is the second projector ive owned and the best by far. I was concerned about the picture clarity compared to the dlp projector I previously owned. Soon after installing it I was blown away by the picture quality of this projector. The only thing I would change is to make a few hundred more lumens of brightness. But that can be made up with a more reflective screen. The picture shows up excellent in the dark, and good in afternoon light with the right screen. I use it as a main tv and have it mounted on the celing in my livingroom. With curtains that filter light a little the projector is up to the task for anything. I know two other people who bought one because they loved mine so much. None of us have ever had a problem whatsoever with the projector. One even has over 3500 hours on his original bulb! With hdmi, componnent, s video and composite inputs this projector has the ability to connect to anything. Overall this projector is an excellent value!』

『I agree with the review that this is a defective product. My bulb blew at 312 hours. Wasn't under warranty and cost me another $400+ to replace. Panasonic service online and on-phone are terrible. Then had same problem with cycle-on and cycle-off. Took it in person to nearest Panasonic authorized service center (75 miles away) and they told me it was just dusty and charged $120 for the evaluation and cleaning. Came home and it still does the same thing. Service center now out of business and Panasonic wants me to ship it to Kansas. Judging from all the online info this is a lemon and Panasonic knows it. The bulb life is a joke and the power supply is faulty. Will not go with Panasonic again. Now I am looking for a good replacement as fixing this one will likely run hundreds. My current bulb is at 295 hours so even after it is fixed I am afraid it will blow soon and another $400+ will be needed.』

『I have been a proud owner of this projector for a short while over a year. I love the picture this projector creates. Bright, smooth images and the HD is awesome. However, there is a manufacturer's defect in the bulb. My bulb, after only putting 470 hours onto it, exploded last night. I'm finding case after case of this happening to people with this projector. I can only hope panasonic will do the right thing and replace my bulb at no cost. I'm sad to say that I probably won't buy another panasonic projector (and, from the looks of things, I'm going to be back in the marker REAL soon). I think I may go back to sharp, who made my original projector which I loved.

(Best MP3 Player I have owned... so far)
『I bought this thing the day it came out. I dropped it multiple times on hard floors and a little bit of the plastic chipped off once but the player kept working. I took it on long runs,and it never skipped or had any problems.

What I loved most about "The Vision M" that most other players lack is all the different type of files it would play. It would play just about every audio file and the best was video Divx files. It easily hooked up to the TV to watch videos that looked great on the tv and you could play music through the TV. Some other things I liked about it; the bookmark feature, the ability to add songs to a now playing list, you can delete songs right from the player, adding songs and video to the player was very simple.

The hard drive gave out a few weeks back but with the way I treated it I was happily surprised how long it lasted. I have an Ipod now and I think I'll try to treat it a little better.』

『I bought the Zen vision m 30 gig in December of 2007, it was a replacement of the same which stopped working after 60 days..I took the chance and replaced it with the same. I have not had one day of problems with this mp3 player, I use it while working out at the gym, walking, I play it through the audio system in my car and with a jack I picked at radio shack I can play it from my home stereo system..can u ask for more, i have photos stored on it and loads of music! I paid around $299 at that the time and tried IPOD before repurchase of this zen and hands down it was a better option in my opinion..IPOD a little thinner..not an issue for me. I have used the fm radio on zen also not the best radio...I would only use it in emergency ??? The battery life is ok I charge 2 times a week average...I use it alot! and I can play it while charging in the car, I also like the software program. I would recommend this to everyone who likes to have audio on the go.』

『The Good:
I've had the Vision: M since June of 2007 and it is EXTREMELY durable, I've dropped it more times than I can remember and it shows no ill effects. I take it into the sauna with me after workouts at the gym, again no problems. Sounds great, it has a customizable EQ feature, a "bass boost", and a "smart volume" so all your tracks will be the same level. (IE, so older tracks play at the same level as newer ones).

The not as good:
The older it gets, the quicker the battery drains (maybe that's with all mp3 players?). You can't use just any USB cable to connect it to your computer, it comes with an adapter that you have to have to attach to the cable so if you lose it, you're screwed. If you fill it up too close to the 30 GB limit it will start locking up on you.

If you put video on it, it seems like even at full volume it's still a little lower than I would expect something at full volume to be.

Overall, this is certainly a good media player for the price.』

『I originally purchased my Creative Zen Vision: M in February 2006. I did have a problem with that particular model after about a year but was able to get it replaced very easily through customer service. The one I have now has given me no problems. I use it to listen to music, record interviews, watch movies on planes and have even used the radio when a bartender refused to turn up the sound on a game we were watching. I am now a big fan of creative and when it's time to upgrade, I will probably go with Creative again rather than the Ipod. I love that it can take multiple file formats and I can use Amazon unbox to download tv and videos. As a surprise for my husband, I downloaded a classic episode of WKRP in Cincinnati for him to watch on a trip and he LOVED it. The battery life has exceeded my expectations. To give a fair review, I would say that it is unfortunate that all of the third party products designed for the Ipods are not available for the Creative, but it probably saves me some money.』

(Frustrated and Puzzled)
『While copying music to my mp3 player, I was asked by Creative Labs if I wanted to update the current operating software so I said yes. After the operating software was updated, the device stopped working stating that there was a firmware problem and no further explanation. I went to Creative Labs site and left an e-mail with their customer service dept. and was informed that I would have to mail the device to them in order for it to be fixed and that it was going to cost me another $50.
Needless to say, I'm very upset since I've already spent enough money buying the device in the first place. Therefore, I recommend to everyone not to update their firmware and avoid buying their products altogether.』

The posters had the peoples head slightly cut off. I was not all impressed with what I received and paid way too much for the stuff they gave me.』

『As always, this is a great movie! I use a playstation 3 to watch my Blu Ray's! The picture quality is just slightly better than what it was shot in, and the audio is still in a mono format, but it is still a great movie! I think the picture keeps it true to it's roots and give it that oldies feel, so they were good in not doing much to it! However, I do feel the audio could have been cleaned up and enhanced more. I will enjoy my blu ray Christmas Story!』

(This Story Is Indeed Deserving of a "Major Award"!!)
『As I've grown in maturity, my tastes have changed in many respects. For most of my adult life my favorite Christmas story has been Charles Dickens classic scenario "A Christmas Carol" written in 1843 and which still remains as one of my favorite Christmas classics. In fact the movie rendition by Alastair Sim is indeed a Christmas ritual to be seen by all. With the last 20 years I've changed my mind as to the ultimate "Christmas Story".
Up front, I must confess that this classic movie was indeed shot and is deeply ensconced into the very fabric of Cleveland culture. The very house in the movie scenes is now a museum on the near west side of Cleveland. The very mention of "The Higbee Company" issues the very essence of "A Christmas Story". When these scenes were shot in January of 1983, I remember the cold sweeping winds coming off Lake Erie putting Northeast Ohio in a deep freeze.
The story itself remains a classic in American culture. Set in the fictional city of Hohman, Indiana all the dreams and culture of pre-World War II America presents itself. In fact from a historical point of view the Depression was in fact over and America, not at war, was in the beginnings of unprecedented prosperity. The actual beginning of life in America as it should be. In fact Ralphie experienced life on the upswing.
The fact of this pre-adolescent receiving a treasured Christmas present shows the rise of the middle class which has gone unabated since. The Christmas morning scene in which the "Old Man" stated that he got a BB gun at Ralphie's age shows the end of the depression and the start of the "good times". However as we watch this movie we can see that discipline 7 decades ago was very real. Life was indeed more structured and disciplined. The family not only ate their evening meals together, they also ate their breakfasts as a family unit. Expectations were tempered and hoped for. Life was easier but held more accountable. Life was simple and fraught with troubles but in the end, life had meaning and purpose.
This story shows us a piece of Americana never to be seen again. Family life as shown in this movie no longer exists which to me represents the sad passing of an institution which is in desperate need in our 21st century way of life. It's really no wonder why this story runs a 24 hour Christmas marathon each year. This is the big screen equivalent of a Norman Rockwell painting representing what American life was.

『I love that movie, never miss an opportunity to see it again at Christmas. The script is perfect, and the constant humor makes it a delight compared to overly sentimental stories. It is one of the only movies where a child is represented with the mind of a child. The little guy is obsessed with getting a BB-gun for Christmas and nothing else counts. He thinks like a child: he is not made cute for our benefit.

I especially loved the more in depth development of the different personality types within the 7 Cylon models. I also enjoyed learning more about Simon and seeing that he was another Cylon who loved a human so deeply. I hope the team who brought us The Plan do more of these with the same quality and storyline I love in the BSG series.』

(A disappointing pleasure)
『I don't know how else to describe my reaction to this DVD.

I enjoyed watching it, recapturing that same sense of anticipation that I recalled from the early seasons of BSG - enjoying the character moments while trying to figure out, deduce what exactly was the Cylon plan that we were teased with in the show's opening every week.

But at the end of the DVD, I experienced the same let down as the series finale... That was it? I was dragged thru an emotional roller-coaster again only to be told the ride is over at the top of the track.

This DVD encompasses all that was good and bad about BSG.

The characters and the character moments sparkle. The dialogue and the acting is first-rate and evoked my fond memories of the series. The problem is, like the series, that's all this really is... a series of character moments (and most pulled from the old episodes). There is no real story here. Like the series, you get to the end and want to say "Is that it?". Yeah, I know the BSG creators lamely used the excuse that the show was always meant to just be about the characters, but c'mon, that is just a poor excuse for lazy, lazy writing. I had hoped and half-way expected this DVD was the show's runners' way of after-the-fact filling in the plot holes for the series, but instead it's just another opportunity squandered.

Nevertheless, you will probably want to buy this DVD if you were more than a casual fan of the show. Understand that it is in essence a "clip-show" interspersed with a good number of fresh scenes that enhance and expand on the older fare but really add nothing much to any kind of story arc.

Bottom-line: Good, but could have been so much more...』

『The Plan goes back to the very beginning of the (mini) series, and explores the circumstances with the human-like Cylons preparing and executing the massive attack on the Twelve colonies, and then continuing with the "mopping up" afterwards in the Rag-tag Fleet and with the Survivors on Caprica. It is almost all done from the perspective of the 12 or so Cylons, as they carry out their duties and discuss their assignments. It carries the "feel" of about 2 hours of "Deleted Scenes", in mostly chronological order. Most of the scenes are very short, but reveal crucial details on who knew and did what and when, and the scenes are full of what would be "spoilers" if they were included in the original series release. One would need to be very well-studied as a BSG aficionado in the entire series to really catch all the subtle points.

Incidentally, there are also some "real" Deleted Scenes at the end, without the "VFX" Video (CGI) Effects, but which do seem to fill in some odd "holes" in the running dialog. The parallel story lines as presented do flip back and forth between settings, and make references to "known" timeline events on Galactica, and on post-apocalypse Caprica, and elsewhere. A Time Stamp (xx days after the attack on the colonies) frequently provides points of reference at the beginning of some scenes. And there are a number of previously unexplored relationships presented between and among the various Cylon models.

Notably absent is the President, D'Anna, and any reference to Razor or Pegasus. One of the surprises is that the Cylons, including the Final Five, always seem to recognize each other in some way in passing, even if they are not always sure why. One disappointment is no added clarifications of Starbuck's status.

Some have argued that The Plan is a simple money-grab, using stock footage (etc.) to trick BSG fans into thinking it is a new "episode" or something. It should rather be thought of and treated as crucial scenes and spoiler segments that were withheld, but are a significant part of the Canon. I would argue that, when taken in context with the rest of the material, it fills in some otherwise unexpected and unexplained gaps in the main BSG storyline. It starts to clarify how the Humans and Cylons started to adapt and come to terms with their respective circumstances. Interestingly it only seemed to cover about the first 2 or so "regular" seasons; one wonders if there is to be a second Plan - Part 2 - that covers Seasons 3 and 4...』

Advertised as the story from the Cylon perspective it is essentially a two hour clip show with some extra footage added to try and weave the Cylon story. The pacing is incomprehensible unless you have watched the entire show, and I guess you have, with scenes lurching from one to another without any seeming logic. Shame on the BSG guys for letting this be released. Avoid.』

It doesn't matter. Audiences fell in love with the struggling novice Maria (Andrews), the dashing Captain von Trapp (Christopher Plummer), and, yes, the cute kids, all based on a real-life World War II Austrian family. Such songs as "My Favorite Things," "Do Re Mi," "Climb Every Mountain," and the title tune became part of the 20th century Zeitgeist. In addition,The Sound of Musicofficially became a cult hit when audiences in London began giving it theRocky Horror Picture Showtreatment, attending showings dressed as their favorite characters and delivering choreographed comments and gestures along with the movie. So why resist, especially when the 40th Anniversary Edition is the best DVD yet.

The DVDs
As if the direct involvement of Julie Andrews weren't enough, the 40th Anniversary Edition ofThe Sound of Musicis a must-have for fans because of the fond sense of nostalgia that will touch all but the worst cynic's heart. Andrews introduces both discs and contributes a commentary track on the film. It's a joy to hear her speak about the film (for example, she explains how she solved her dislike for the lyrics of "I Have Confidence"), and also heard are remarks by Christopher Plummer (who at one point refers to his being 48, which if true would mean his comments were made in about 1975), Charmian Carr (Liesl), choreographer Dee Dee Wood, and Johannes Von Trapp (the real-life Maria Von Trapp's youngest son, who admits that his father did have a whistle but claims that he was not as stern as portrayed in the film). Even with all those people involved, there are still significant gaps of silence, however. Retained from the previous two-disc editions is the commentary track by director Robert Wise, which during the musical numbers becomes an isolated score with no vocals. Also new are sing-along subtitles in English, Spanish, and French, which allow you to have your own sing-along at home. In addition, the film's remastering shows off a truer and much warmer sense of color.

On the second disc, Andrews participates in a new 63-minute documentary "My Favorite Things: Julie Andrews Remembers." But it's really a general making-of documentary with contributions from a number of principals, including director Robert Wise, who died in mid-2005 (not surprisingly, some stories are repeated from the commentary track and from the 87-minute documentary on the previous DVD). Andrews also shares a warm 19-minute sit-down with Christopher Plummer. Carr, who over the years has become the film's biggest advocate, narrates a new 22-minute documentary, "On Location withThe Sound of Music," in which she revisits the places in Salzburg where the movie was filmed, and even joins one of the "Sound of Musictours" that have become a booming industry. And acknowledging another big industry, there's a 12-minute featurette on the sing-along phenomenon, focusing specifically on the audience, costumed and otherwise, that attended a sold-out Hollywood Bowl sing-along in 2005. Making special appearances at the event are four von Trapp great-grandchildren and all seven of the actors who played the children. Thankfully, those actors also appear in a 33-minute documentary "From Liesl to Gretl: A 40th Anniversary Reunion," in which they explain what they do now (many are still in show business) and share stories about the film, who was afraid of Christopher Plummer, and what they feel is their responsibility to the film's passionate fans. What's touching is how the group still considers themselves a family so many years later. Other material includes an A&E documentary on the von Trapps, Mia Farrow's screen test for the Liesl role, and a restoration comparison.

What's Missing?
If you already own the previous two-disc editions, you'll want this 40th Anniversary Edition as well, but you might not want to toss those versions. Probably the most significant omission from this edition is the original 14-minute documentary Charmian Carr made in 1967, "Salzburg Sight and Sound." Carr's new documentary includes only a couple clips from the vintage piece. It's not a great work of art, but it's a notable loss and would have made a good contrast with the new documentary. In addition, the new making-of documentary is about 24 minutes shorter than the old one. Also missing are the audio-only features--the interviews, the radio programs, the Ernest Lehman spotlight--and the historical still gallery examining the history of Salzburg and the film. Granted, this material probably got the least play of any of the old features, but completists might want to hold onto their old discs for it. It would have also been nice to have screen tests other than Farrow's. Tests for all the children and for Christopher Plummer (including singing in his own voice before he was dubbed for the film) were included onHollywood Screen TestsandRodgers and Hammerstein: The Sound of Movies. Again, they're not critical but it would have been nice to have them all in one place. So maybe the 40th Anniversary Edition isn't the complete package onThe Sound of Music, but it's the most satisfying edition yet, with enough new material to please even the veteranSoMDVD watcher.--David Horiuchi

Design
Let's get things out in the open. The Apple iPod is the 800-pound gorilla when it comes to the digital media player business and, unavoidably, every other device is measured against it. In most respects, the Vision:M matches up pretty well, and there are few things you may even like better. Length and width dimensions are exactly the same at 4.1 and 2.4 inches respectively. When it comes to girth, though, the iPod has the Vision:M beat; the Vision:M is .7 inches thick, while the iPod measures .4 inches. The Vision:M is slightly heavier, too. These details aside, the Vision:M feels comfortable, yet sturdy, in the hand, with curved surfaces in all the right places.

Creative takes a somewhat different approach with the Vision:M's controls, answering the iPod's Click Wheel with a vertical touch pad--which allows you to scroll up and down menus and control volume--plus four buttons that offer navigation through the user interface. The contextual menu button on the bottom right is a welcome addition, allowing you to make quick settings changes and view information about media files on the fly--functions that are more cumbersome on an iPod. Creative could have made the buttons a bit more sensitive--they require a firm press that gives an overall feeling of clunkiness to an otherwise well-designed user interface. Another annoyance is the touch pad's over-sensitivity; it's easy to make selections unintentionally, sending you on a wild ride through the user interface.

The Vision:M's screen, which measures 2.5 inches diagonally, offers sharp details, vibrant color, and excellent response with little or no video ghosting during high-action sequences. The 320 x 240 resolution is to be expected from a device this size, and although it's small, you'll likely have no trouble enjoying video while you're sitting on the subway or a flight, or in the back-seat of a car. Our only nitpick was the screen's less than stellar viewing angle, especially when compared side-by-side with a video iPod. While this can be good for maintaining privacy, the narrow viewing angle also means that friends beside you will struggle to see anything other than a black screen.

Music, Videos, Photos, and More
The Vision:M's music organization scheme is standard fare; you can browse playlists, artists, tracks, albums, and genres. Equalizer settings are robust, with a nice range of automatic settings, plus a custom equalizer that's easy to control. The music library's "DJ" function is a nice touch, allowing you to listen to your most popular tracks. It can also pull up the tunes you listen to least frequently--in case you've got some forgotten tunes lying around on the Vision:M's 30 GB hard drive. Sound quality is everything you'd expect from a top shelf digital audio player, and DRM'd Windows Media files played without a hitch. The device fully supports a whole range of "PlaysForSure" download and subscription services, such as Napster and Yahoo Music. Creative also ships a CD-ripping and music transfer application called MediaSource with the Vision:M.

Playback of Windows Media DRM'd video files (WMV9) was also hassle-free. Purchased videos delivered crisp colors and detail, with no frame drops. Video playback consumes a lot of power, bringing Creative's claim of four hours of video playback into serious doubt. Expect under three hours when watching videos continuously. Thankfully, if you need to come back to your video later the Vision:M's software remembers the timecode of where you left off--unless you power the device down between viewing sessions. In addition to protected and unprotected WMV files, the Vision:M can play MPEG 1/2/4, Motion-JPEG, DivX 4 and 5, and XviD formats, making it a very flexible device with respect to encoding options.

The Vision:M can also store thousands of photos, letting you browse through them or set up a slideshow. The device's TV-out option comes in handy here, as you can present slideshows on a TV or projector. Videos can be displayed this way, too. An FM radio with easy preset tuning functions and great signal reception, plus a voice recorder feature, round out the extra media features. There's also a handy application on the Vision:M that formats a portion of the drive for use as USB 2.0 mass storage, letting you set aside up to 16 GB for data storage.

Connectivity and Synchronization
A Creative Sync Adapter ships in the box with the Vision:M, making it a snap to connect the device to a USB 2.0-capable PC. With the connection made, Windows XP recognized the device right off the bat and Windows Media Player immediately asked us if we wanted to load the PC's music onto the Vision:M. Music management and synchronization has come a long way on the PC, and the experience of organizing and transferring music to and from the Vision:M was, barring a few curious click-through boxes, pretty seamless. The Vision:M also supports synchronization of your Outlook contacts, calendar, and tasks, in case you want to use it as a personal organizer of sorts.

Amazon Unbox Integration
To be truly successful, the Vision:M has to be more than a great media device, it has to integrate with Amazon Unbox and make the process feel like second nature. Although the Vision:M was tested using a beta version of Amazon Unbox, things are looking good already. Amazon Unbox and the Vision:M go together like peas in a pod, making the process of purchasing, downloading, and enjoying content on the go a real cinch. The Amazon Unbox Video Player, which queues, downloads, organizes, and plays your purchased movies and TV shows, recognized the Vision:M right off the bat. An icon for the Vision:M appears in the devices panel of the application, and you can immediately begin transferring downloaded content to the device. 『This is my second DSLR (after D80). This camera is simply amazing. This kit is perfect. It has all you need. HD video on DSLR is a poor idea. They could have added more features instead. Great amateur camera.』

(You can tell the D90 was designed by photographers and not just engineers! Wonderful user interface and image quality!)
『I am far from a professional photographer, but I take it as seriously as possible while still referring to it as a hobby. I take mostly pictures of people at events and many of my baby son without flash in low light situations.

I had been using a Nikon D40x for 1 year and very early reached my limitation with that camera. The Nikon D40x has very nice image quality, but the camera's interface is not suited for a more serious shooter who wants quick single button or dial access to such shooting parameters such as white balance, shooting mode, metering mode, etc. I also felt very limited by the D40x not having an in-body focus motor that would allow me to use non AF-I/AF-S lenses (which are lenses without the focus motor built-in).

The Nikon D40x limitations were severe enough that I was about to consider purchasing a Canon 40D until the Nikon D90 appeared just in time.


PROS:

1. Fantastic set of separate buttons on the camera to control parameters like ISO, white balance, metering, autofocus, image quality, shooting mode, etc.
2. Two command dials
3. High resolution 920K pixel LCD screen (like the one on the Nikon D300)
4. 12.3 megapixel CMOS sensor
5. Low noise high ISO capability (for low light shooting) I can shoot ISO 1600 with good image quality with this camera, while on my D40x I could only shoot with ISO 400 and obtain acceptable IQ. I will even use ISO 3200 frequently with very usable results!
6. Separate top-viewing LCD screen in addition to the rear high res screen, to show shooting parameters constantly
7. In-body focus motor which allows the use of Nikon's non AF-I/S lenses, including wonderful and CHEAP prime lenses such as the Nikkor 50mm 1.8 (~$100 lens!)
8. Continuous shooting of 4.5 frames per second
9. Small size, although larger than the D40/D40x/D60, it is still substantially smaller in the hand than the D300/D3
10. 720p 24fps MPEG video shooting capability with incredible ability to use depth of field that I cannot achieve with my Sony High-Def camcorder.
11. Eleven auto-focus points (not as nice as the 51 points on the D300, but substantially better than my D40x with its 3 points)
12. GPS option
13. HDMI output
14. Enormous number of options to customize camera and shooting settings to fit your style of shooting
15. Fantastic image quality right out-of-box if you don't want to do any post processing
16. Terrific build quality
17. Top notch camera ergonomics (but this will be a very personal opinion that differs for each shooter)


CONS:

1. "Rolling shutter" phenomenon while recording video: The D90 CMOS sensor has the same problem that other CMOS video recorders have when recording video. If you move the camera, especially horizontally, you get a "jelly" or "rubberbanding" effect where the image wobbles significantly. It is nice to have the video features, which looks very sharp at 720p, but it is NOT a substitute for a video camera. If you use a tripod, and do not do quick zooms/pans, the video quality is excellent. Without a tripod, however, you may get nauseas watching a wobbly video. The sound is also in monoaural.
2. 1/200 flash synch: Not a problem for me, but it might be for you.
3. No weather sealing: This is found on the Nikon D300/D3 and even on similarly priced models from other camera companies
4. The buffer will fill up after about 8 continuous RAW + JPG (FINE) shots. This number differs depending on the shooting parameters that you will choose. If you shoot primarily JPG, the buffer seems to allow a very large number of continuous shots, but I have not quantified this for JPG only.


TIPS:

1. Get the FREE Nikon ViewNX software from Nikon's site as your 1st step in your workflow. This will let you examine your RAW images that you can process for either Nikon CaptureNX2 to do further RAW processing or just export to JPG for a JPG editor such as PhotoShop.
2. Recommend buying the Nikon CaptureNX2. It is a RAW converter (if you shoot in RAW) that will read the camera settings properly for export to JPG. Capture NX2, however, is not as slick as the Adobe products and Capture NX2 requires a fairly powerful computer, otherwise it can run pretty slowly on a PC>3 years old.
3. If you use JPEGs out-of-camera, consider increasing the sharpness above the default 3 or 4. Nikon uses a very conservative sharpening default setting. Nikon has decided to change the default JPEG images to match the higher end D3/D700/D300 cameras which produce more neutral images. Consequently, the D90 images that are less punchy than the D40/D40x/D60/D80, so you may also want to turn up the in-camera saturation and contrast.

『at first i wasnt sure if i wanted it without the telephoto lens but when i got it i discovered that the 18-105 lens is plenty for a starter lens. so i was also unsure about an 8gb card. i wanted a 16 gb card but it cost more. if i could go back i would have gotten the larger card. also. the card reader that comes with the kit does not look like the one in the picture. but it still is a card reader. the bag is small but is enough for a camera, a lense, and filters or other accessories. i love this camera and i will do future transactions through cameta camera. thanks cameta camera for the great buy!』

(Drive OK, but poor Backup software (HP SimpleSave 320 Gb))
『The drive works OK, but the Simple Save Backup software doesn't work well.
I saw the same long file name problem described by CycleJoe.
Additionally, it could not find all the (Windows Vista) User Accounts on my PC. (If it can't find all the accounts, it can't back them up!) Attractive interface, though.
I tried Technical Support, both via e-mail and phone, and they were completely unfamiliar with the product.
(Their familiarity with the English language left something to be desired as well!)
They even blamed the problem on the fact that my PC was made by Dell. What a cop-out!

『My son had been asking for this for months...so we finally got it for his birthday. Little did I know that this model doesn't actually change from robot into anything. Instead, it just articulates a bit and makes noise. The first thing my son asks me to do is change it into a car and I had to explain that this one doesn't actually change into a car - oops! Too bad that wasn't clear from the description (silly me for thinking a Transformer would, well, TRANSFORM!). My son still likes the toy because it's colorful and noisy, but it's clearly a let-down that he can't make it into a car.』

(Long Haul... worth the money.)
『Long Haul is one of the later Voyager Transformers that comes out, but if you had researched well, you might have definitely heard about him months before he came out. Since Long Haul is a Voyager, he is a couple inches higher than the average deluxe figure. It is funny, however, how his vehicle mode makes him appear to be a deluxe (but there is always more than meets the eye). He has very fine flexibility with his legs and arms. Much like leader class Optimus Prime, he has pop out swords. As for his Mech Alive gimmick, he has moving pistons (that work suprisingly alot like bicep muscles) on his arms and a move gear on his chest plate that turns along with his head. Transformation may be difficult at first, but once you understand the general concept of how everything pulls out, it becomes simple. Unfortunately his size is smaller than it should be. In fact, his petite size can be slightly annoying for those who like Transformers with the same balanced measurement. And unless you don't care about his vehicle mode being nearly the size of a motorcycle Transformer (e.g. Arcee or Chromia), this shouldn't be much of a problem for you. Sadly though, I do care. So over-all I give it 5-stars.』

『Long Haul is really a figure that his quality depends on how much you are willing to work with him. He's not as bulky as his movie model, but his sculpt looks great, and compared to other figures, still pretty huge. The wheels posistioned floating over his head can be moved over his shoulders like in the movie. I kind of wish he had a better weapon than the pop out swords, but they are cool and aren't as annoying as Leader Primes. His posability is kind of weird. Legs seem to do fine but his wrists and arms only move out and in depending on how you have his shoulders positioned. I haven't noticed anything popping off, so he seems pretty child friendly. Transformation can be a little ackward; his legs are hard to fold up correctly to form the front. Vehicle mode looks great, though. He can even really dump stuff! I know not all that exciting, but it's really cool that it was included. I like him better when compared to the other Constructicons. I would would rate him a #1 out of the 4, with Mixmaster a close second, Rampage, and then Demolishor.』

『Long Haul was my new favorite decepticon when I played the ROTF game for xbox and I couldn't wait for his voyager to be released. I had thought he wouldn't be released until August but I was a Target the other day and found him. In the box, he is already in robot mode and looks great though not as bulky and his color is brighter then he appeared in the movie and game. He has great articulation 'cept my only complaint is his arms move left and right at the elbow instead of up and down unless you rotate it at the shoulder. Long Haul has a flip out axe on each arm that reminded me of the Wreckage figure from the last movie. Tranformation is a little difficult but after trial and error you get it sooner or later. Vehicle mode looks great and the dump bed actually works too. If you can find him, get him because he is one of the better Transformers in this line.』
『LONG HAUL is too bitter to be an effective soldier on his own. Despite the fact that he is part of one of the most destructive and terrifying DECEPTICON squads of all time, he is too often treated as little more than a cargo hauler. Other DECEPTICONS sling their gear into his bed without a second thought, and order him to carry it around for them. Rather than confront them, hed rather grumble about it privately, then stop on the way and destroy whatever hes been given responsibility for.』

The tone is fun and really gives you the feeling that you're hearing it straight from Sam and Dean; it is true to the characters. Be aware, this is not an exhaustive reference book. It is a fun, quick reference to many of the creatures in the Supernatural universe with a little Sam and Dean thrown in for your pleasure.』

『I knew going into this book, that it was more detail about the various monsters, spirtis, and demons that the Winchester boys run into in the show Supernatural. I liked the idea of it and as I skimmed through the book before reading it, I liked the format of what I saw. I found some of the legends and such interesting. However, this book is very dry. I feel like this wonderful information could have and should have been presented a more entertaining manner. The book claims that this is coming from the narration of the Winchester brothers but in my opinion it didn't feel that way at all. The best parts of the book where the brief mentions of parts of the episodes from the show and the explanations given in more detail than what you get from watching the show. Again, those were few and far between. There should have been some pictures from the show in with the book also, to go along with the drawings. This book was a good idea, but poorly executed.』

『My little girl LOVES Diego. She asked for an Animal Science Book for Christmas and this is what I was able to find. Well, she has looked and looked at this book and an has used it whenever she pretends she is Diego. If your kid loves Diego then he/she will love this Animal Science Book.』

『My daughter was not a huge fan of this toy because it says, "I love you mommy" and she yells back at it saying that she is not her mommy. Maybe I just have more of a tomboy child or something!
After reading the reviews on the food, I decided that I wasn't even going to let the doll have any of the food and just have straight water. The problem is that the doll is continuously saying that she needs to go potty and then says she has an accident even when you don't give her anything.
Overall, it's really not that bad! Just stay near if your child is going to give the doll any water or food because you need to help them with getting her on the potty.

『How many times can you read the same book? I'll let you know. My daughter loves this book and we have read it so many times that I may have to replace it soon from wear and tear. It's a great book. She is 19 months old and loves pointing out all the animals along their journey. I usually point to each one as we count the bunnies and the lizzards etc. Now she is doing it...pointing as I count, so I think she is learning a good lesson with that. It's cute. I think it is great for the counting and animal recognition, that's for sure.

No, at this point it isn't really "reading", but kids need this kind of book to encourage a love of reading. Otherwise they get bogged down in the nuts and bolts of phonics, and "learn" that reading is all work and no play. As it is, my little guy brings me these books every few hours, and reads them to me. He reads them to everyone he meets. He is excited to read, and even feels ready to tackle harder books.
My older son never had any of this type of book. At the age of 6, he is well advanced in phonics, and can read any word you put in front of him. However, he is intimidated by books. He doesn't enjoy reading them at all. He is catching on, as I have been introducing him to these readers however, since they are so easy, they guarantee success.

I highly recommend these to parents whose children are "ready to read" but need easier texts than most early readers (or easy readers) provide.』

- works fine. No IR connection problems.
- great for people that don't already have a DVD player.
CONS
- doesn't play DVDs in progressive scan. Why not? They can make games in 480p (old HD) for the xbox.
- takes up a controller port slot. Not a big deal, but if you often have 4 friends playing, you won't be able to leave it in all the time.
- no backlit or glow
- no eject button
- no power button. What? Never seen a remote without a power button. Thus you CANNOT turn your xbox on/off with this remote.
- cannot learn
- not universal. If you have lots of remotes, you're better off learning this one into a universal remote.
- many people already own a DVD player, many with progressive scan.

A project such as this could be very tacky but the sincerity of his quest carries this whole film. Brian is a charming, regular guy and the lengths to which he goes to work through people who know Drew is often hilarious. As the film goes on you get so caught up in his venture you can't help but imagine yourself working to make a dream come true.

You must watch through this whole thing to encounter the last 30 minutes that will put you on an emotional roller coaster. I actually cried with this documentary !! The payoff at the end will fill your heart.

Original, daring, creative and filled with heart this documentary is a must for anyone who has a dream that could possibly be within reach but fear holds you back. It also shows there is still pure honest goodness in this world and to find moments of happiness are worth the journey.

『I am studying singing, and so far I have had quite a success. My mentor is Jamie Vendera, and I study mostly by his books/CDs. However, I also wanted to see what else is out there as far as singing tutorials go. I picked up quite a few different books, CDs, DVDs. Some of them were quite interesting and challenging. However, this set is far from being really useful, in my opinion. It is so basic that it hurts that I paid for it. It is not taught by any professional singers, rather, by kids! And, those kids don't sound that well either (some of them were just okay, some were just so-so). So, if you'd like to get some useful material to study and learn how to sing properly I would suggest to look elsewhere. My personal recommendations: all books by Jamie Vendera, Hard Rock Academy Performance Vocals DVD, Singing for the Stars: A Complete Program for Training Your Voice (Book&2 CD's) by Seth Riggs.』
