After watching it by myself, however, I realized there was no way I could share this. Despite the introduction it is not really an introduction to swinging. It is more along the lines of a cheap porn flick. They have a few unattractive porn stars act out various swing scenarios and then pretend to talk to a couple of therapists. If you are looking for a bad porn feel free to get this film, but if you want a real guide to swinging save your money. If ever an argument against swinging (or sex, for that matter) existed, this would be it. The main characters are just plain unattractive. The "sex therapists" lend credence to the adage that those who can't do teach. The photos on the cover have nothing to do with the video content--don't be misled--what you see is not what you get. The sex scenes are anti-erotic. I threw it away after watching...need I say more? Just when I thought to myself," How bad can a cheap movie be". The movie starts slow and somewhat interesting,....up until you find out that the actor does not want to try the swap after all, so here you are awaiting for that promised scene until the whole movie takes a different twist for the worst. Please, save your $6.00 or so for half a gallon of gas that you will make more use of. "Swinging: From Fantasy to Reality" is a highly erotic educational film produced by the Alexander Institute. The DVD follows a couple as they enjoy pushing the boundaries of their sexual lives. The couple is in marriage counseling where they talk with their therapists about the pleasure and sometimes discomfort of their adventures. This venue provides an interesting alternative to other "educational" DVD that fail to present a negative side to experimentation. Despite the title, only part of the DVD is devoted to the couples' swinging fantasy. The erotic scenes are explicit and well photographed. We follow the couple as they make love in rooms other than their bedroom, experiment with outdoor sex with erotic scenes of them purposely making love knowing that a man is watching from the bushes. Yes, and finally the couple connects with another couple in an attempt to fulfill a swinging fantasy. Here the two couples make love to their own marriage partners together in the same room. In the final scenes the couple declines the offer of making love with the other couple. The sex scenes in this DVD and their very unusual settings are highly erotic. The DVD is very good, and teaches us that the journey of pushing sexual boundaries pays benefits by spicing up our primary relationship. However, I think it also teaches that it is wise to enjoy the pleasure from the journey rather than locking on a certain fantasy such as swinging. Swinging, like any fantasy can sometimes become more uncomfortable than fun when played out, and as we have learned, many times it simply does not happen. We've been interested in this alternative lifestyle for a while, and it's presented here as a viable option for couples who are committed but want variety. It's real and thats what I love about it. I love every single song been listening to it everyday since the day it came out. It never leaves my cd player or my Ipod...Love It. Tank does not get the respect he deserves. This guy continually puts out great albums. You can tell that he takes his time. Why is it that 40-year old men like R. Kelly put out songs like "I'm a Flirt" and sales go through the roof but someone putting out genuine R&B can't even get a decent record deal. Tank is signed to blackground records. I purchased this DVD as a combo pack with "What Men Want" and I will never purchase one of the tapes in this series again. The things they did in this video were all common knowledge. Carell finds both humor and humanity in Andy, and the supporting cast includes some standout comic work from Paul Rudd (Clueless,The Shape of Things) and Jane Lynch (Best in Show,A Mighty Wind), as well as an unusually straight performance from Catherine Keener (Lovely&Amazing,Being John Malkovich). And yet... something about the movie misses the mark. It skirts around the topic of male sexual anxiety, mining it for easy jokes, but never really digs into anything that would make the men in the audience actually squirm--and it's a lot less funny as a result. Dressed in a skin-tight red leather suit and delivering endless streams of obscenities faster than Richard Pryor ever did, Murphy is captured in this raunchy HBO special (a filmed document of his Grammy-winning album,Eddie Murphy, Comedian) at his confident, swaggering, comedic peak--a posture that soon disappeared after a string of bland Hollywood comedies. Here, however, his energy and sheer virtuosity command complete control over the audience for 107 minutes, whether he's mocking personalities like Elvis, James Brown, and Stevie Wonder, or spinning long, gag-filled personal anecdotes about the ice-cream man or dysfunctional family barbecues. Brilliant role by Cary Grant, with his classic expressions, and subtle moves. Just a great sit-back-and-enjoy movie. Father Goose is not only a showcase of cry Grant's considerable acting talents, but an excellent example of American culture and social attitudes during World War Two. Although set in the Pacific, this film (by turns dramatic, romantic and very, very funny) shows American mores and values of yesteryear. All in all, a great film that I'd recommend to anyone! Father Goose My husband and I both enjoyed this charming movie very much, very entertaining, lots of humour. There were some glitches in the script, but we forgave that. We enjoyed it very much. AND it was not at all dated. If you love Cary Grant you should go wild over this movie, where he spends most of his time in a grisly half-beard and scruffy clothes. It was his last great movie. Grant, playing against type, ends up helping the U.S. in World War II by being a spotter on a Pacific island. Who else could capture the screen time so well when being all alone on the island (maybe Tom Hanks, since he did it too?). When Grant meets Caron and the little girls it turns into a hilarious battle. The ending has some suspense before it all ends happily ever after. A great movie for Grant fans. Too bad he didn't end with this one instead of going on to make Walk, Don't Run as his final film! I received this new remastered DVD in a matter of days after ordering. The product is excellent, and the story "Father Goose" is humorous family entertainment. Cary Grant's penultimate feature before retirement was this cheerful 1964 effort to overturn his career-long image of urbane sophistication. As the unshaven, messy misanthrope Walter Eckland, a World War II-era beach bum who monitors Japanese air activity for the Australian navy in exchange for booze, Grant makes a convincingly hard-bitten, hard-drinking antihero. Until, that is, a pretty French schoolmistress (Leslie Caron) and her seven little charges (all girls) survive a nearby plane crash and invade Eckland's raunchy isolation. Directed by 1960s hit-maker Ralph Nelson (The Lilies of the Field,Charly),Father Gooseis a glossy comedy that also does justice to its more suspenseful scenes (a deadly snakebite suffered by Caron's character is especially memorable) and leaves plenty of room for Grant to indulge in some entertaining if atypical screen behavior.
