This poster shows a picture of a man and woman in a passionate embrace. At the bottom it says "Sex is nourishing, but sex without love is like trying to grow a rose with sun but no water." At the top it says "Kama Sutra". This poster measures approx. 24" x 36" Kamasutram, generally known to the Western world as Kama Sutra, is an ancient Indian text widely considered to be the standard work on love in Sanskrit literature. A small portion of the work deals with human sexual behavior. In the early 1990s its chapter on lovemaking positions began circulating on the internet as an independent text and today is often assumed to be the whole of the Kama Sutra.

(I'LL SKIP THE BUTTER ON MY POPCORN THIS TIME)
(A tragically misunderstood masterpiece...)
(Boring, Senseless, Waste of Time)
(I don't know what it is...) I hadn't seen this movie since it came out in the early 70's, and I'm wondering how I sat through the thing back then. I guess it was Maria Schneider's bod that got me through the thing. Things like that matter a lot more when your hormones are gushing like some Parisian fountain instead of like a fine wine being decanted. Yes, I'm aware that that's some pretty hokey mixing of metaphors. I'm just trying to say that Mlle. Schneider was hot then, and is hot now, but it takes more than that to get a viewer through this movie these days.
The good news for my fellow geezers is that, after 30 years, my memories of the movie were almost gone. It was like watching a new movie, so there's an upside to those senior moments. I stopped saying, "I don't remember this!" after a while.
There's a lot wrong with this flick, but the core of the plot is not without interest. The main characters test each others love to the max. Timing of their actions also comes into play, and has a great deal to do with the outcome of these lover's fates. I see what the director/writer was trying to do, and if Brando had been controlled a bit more, the film wouldn't have come off as being a bit silly in so many scenes.
I'm giving this movie 4 stars instead of the 2 it deserves because it's fun to watch Brando any place in the world, and Marlon Does Paris is much more fun if he wasn't in this one. I think a lot of his dialogue must have been improvised, and his choice of words gives an insight into the mind and upbringing of this Nebraska boy. I can't imagine that the Europeans came up with some of the earthy language that sounds like it came from a feed store in the good old USA rather than a Paris bistro. The soundtrack also adds another dimension. There's too much icing and not enough cake. Rent it and buy the soundtrack. Butter Flavored Popcorn ToppingThe Art of Decanting: Bringing Wine to Life1871 HOUSE THIERS PLACE GEORGES PARIS FRANCE FOUNTAINIcing the Cake: 66 Fast and Fabulous Frostings, Icings, Glazes, Toppings, and Fillings for Every Kind of Cake
Let me fist say this; if this film has offended you or left you thinking it nothing more than a pointless perversion then you've clearly missed this entire point and have misunderstood this films purpose.
I felt that was important because I've seen this film get unfairly targeted by some who refuse to truly embrace it for what it is. Yes, there was a lot of controversy that surrounded it upon its release; and that NC-17 rating doesn't help matters, immediately drawing the viewer to the obvious reasons for its harsh rating; but underneath the layers of sensuality lies a very poignant portrayal of a mans guilt and grief and how he chooses to free himself of it. If you strip away the gratuitous love scenes you will begin to see into the deep pools of Marlon Brando's phenomenal performance and begin to understand why this film had to be made the way that it was.
`Ultimo Tango a Parigi' follows Paul, a widower, shortly after his wife's suicide. Still grieving and obviously searching to separate himself from the whole situation, Paul looks into renting himself an apartment. It just so happens that young Jeanne is also there looking herself to rent the apartment. In a spontaneous and completely anonymous moment of passion the two fall into one another and form a curious relationship that serves as a way out for Paul, a way for him to remove himself from all that is crashing in around him.
Paul sets ground rules for the continuance of their relationship; first and foremost being that there is to be no names exchanged. Writer/director Bernardo Bertolucci mentioned that the idea for this film stemmed from his fantasy of making love to woman without ever knowing her name; but what he created with `Ultimo Tango a Parigi' is a film that fully explores why that fantasy happens to be one every man desires. He exposed the draw to such an encounter, allowing the audience to understand why a relationship with absolutely no strings is desirable yet disastrous.
The one facet of this film that ultimately elevates it is the acting, all of which leaves me speechless. Maria Schneider is marvelous as Jeanne; truly crawling inside of her and delivering a heartbreaking performance. We are able to understand two sides of this tryst by comparing how Jeanne reacts versus Paul. Schneider gives Jeanne enough humanity to create an honest portrayal of a woman confused and guilty for her own love and affection. She wants to give herself fully to Paul but he refuses to accept her. She is being pursued by her longtime boyfriend Tom yet she can't bring herself to be happy about it. As the film spirals to its close we see the layers of this beautiful soul strip away to reveal a woman scorned by the seemingly selfish actions of a man.
And yet still...
The term `tour-de-force' was created for performances like Brando's. His portrayal of Paul is seriously why the concept of `awards for acting' was though up. One of the greatest compliments any actor can receive is that of being compared to Marlon Brando. Why do you think his name is so rarely used when describing another actor's work? Marlon Brando was incomparable. What strikes me so hard about this particular performance is that it is fearless, and honestly there are so few fearless performances these days that when one like this comes along you are forced to take notice. The performance isn't fearless because of the taboos his character is forced into, nor because of the dialog he is asked to say but because of the sheer dedication and veracity in which he attacks this role head on, delivering each word and confronting each taboo in a way that no other actor would dare. Paul ultimately because a beautifully fleshed out variation of our own male psyche (or if you happen to be female then the psyche of your male counterpart). His grief upon the sudden and abrupt loss of his wife is written all over his face yet effectively masked by his pursuit of young Jeanne and his complete and total domination of her. One scene in particular, where he asks her to violate him, is truly breathtaking (and precisely the reason why I call his performance `fearless') for it allows us, in a not so pretty fashion, to see all that his wife's suicide has reduced him to.
`Ultimo Tango a Parigi' is a marvelous film, a masterpiece at that, and rests firmly at the top of my list of greatest films ever made. This is a film that is often misunderstood, true, but it is a film that is vitally important for it helps us to see the truth behind our own facades and confront the deeper meanings to the actions we so boldly take. Don't waste your time. If you are watching it to see the controversial steamy sex scenes, you'll be disappointed. There is nothing erotic here. It's a film devoid of emotion or excitement. It's mind-numbing and boring. It may have been praised at the time it was first released, but it has not aged well. Surprising that it was ever determined to be a film with any value even when first released. Pointless film with characters that don't seem to have any direction in their lives and don't seem to care about anything important. The viewer doesn't care either. Glad I saw this free, as I would hate to have paid even $1 to watch it. Your life will be better for NOT having seen this movie.
but I love this movie. It's just the right level of sinful arousal and plot that really works. I also find myself really caring about the characters. Usually I'm not a fan of movies that have sex in them at all... it's almost always unnecessary to the plot. But this movie explores desperation in a way that makes lots of sexual content mandatory. Bernardo Bertolucci's controversial 1973 film stars Marlon Brando as an expatriate American in Paris reeling from his wife's suicide and entering into a nihilistic sexual relationship with a young woman (Maria Schneider). The film is still shocking, not simply because of its (sometime unconventional) sexual sequences, but because Brando's protagonist needs his liaison with Schneider's character to remain anonymous, an experience not to be shared but indulged on either end. Bertolucci is also operating on subtext here: in a way, Brando's nonengaging engagement is a metaphor for a certain attitude toward directing movies. Jean-Pierre Léaud costars, but the film is more than anything a vehicle for a great performance by Brando.--Tom Keogh An american expatriate tries to overcome his wifes suicide by engaging in sexual liaisons in this uncut and uncensored movie classic. (What Women Don't Want!)
(Why movies could be too long ...)
(Could and should be better.)
(Hmmm...) First, the bad things: formulaic chick flic. Make that CHICK FLIC. The other bad thing, is Helen Hunt is as dry and unappealing as always (she sleepwalks through her performance, I'm not sure she ever felt pain at all when she was "acting" emotionally distraught). In addition, there aren't enough laughs to keep a guy interested when his girlfriend/wife makes him watch this. In addition, the "thoughts" that women have in the movie are both far too PG and PC to be believable, and any man who swallows that crap is doomed. This is what women would like to think of themselves thinking, not what they really think about most of the time (not that I would know, which is the point, right?). Alan Alda smarms his way through another role where he can't stop calling attention to the fact that he is Alan Alda. Would someone take up a collection for some acting classes for this lame-O, please? The good things: Mel Gibson gives a stunning performance as a man's man advertising executive who must reinvent himself as a meterosexual when his new boss arrives (Hunt) and starts dropping the Swedish Bikini Team advertising techniques to go after women-customer target accounts. This is delightful tension and a delightful plot twist. Director Nancy Meyers does a superb job, both in framing shots and making the visual narrative match the script and tone setting of the dialogue. There is some flavor of Chicago in the film which adds to the aura. But the best thing Meyers did, other than her mistakes with Alan Alda and Helen Hunt, is the casting. All the secondary women characters have real women's bodies, not the faux emaciated size zero everyone has defaulted to expect in films nowadays. For example, Delta Burke is featured in a role where her curves are simply normal both in relative and absolute terms to all other women characters. This was an excellent decision, and Meyers is amply rewarded with excellent performances from cameo and secondary characters alike. No one need ever fear that this film will promote body type anxiety. The movie is a bit overly long, and therefore the rather abrupt closure of the film appears a bit tacked on in response to going over budget or beyond shooting schedule. But all in all this is a stomachable film for those guys who have to sit through a chick flic every now and them with your slampiece. My wife had to watch "Scareface" with me in exchange, so it was a pretty good trade. What Women Want was a smash hit when it was released but this romantic comedy is unfunny and way too long. Mel Gibson gives another solid performance but I just couldn't relate to this film and I am a woman! Helen Hunt was so over-rated when this film was making millions of dollars at the box office but jeez you never hear anything about her anymore, her ship has sailed. This is a movie you rent or borrow from a friend, not worth purchasing! The movie starts a little emotional. Nick (Mel Gibson) is so arrogant that he doesn't even notice, what people around him happen to think about him. When Darcy (Helen Hunt) is promoted as his boss, his philosophy of life crumbles ... From this point, the movie makes a very enjoyable comedy. The audience is delivered quite a good insight into his moral -- compared to his workmates, who are astonished, what a man Nick actually can be. Yet, as soon as he falls in love with Darcy, the whole film is drawn slowly but irresistibly towards a drama losing much of its potential. It seems that Nancy Meyers tried to combine the funny plot with an appealing drama. Unfortunately, the movie just can't cope with such a claim. The performances of Gibson and Hunt are remarkable. Particularly the scene he plays Fred Astaire in, made me laugh heartily. Altogether, I give this movie 8 of 10 points, since it _is_ worth watching. But the second half could have been either cut or improved ! Romantic comedy in which Mel Gibson stars as a chauvinistic advertising executive who one day after a freak accident finds that he can hear women's thoughts, and uses this to his advantage, not least of all in the workplace. An intriguing premise that makes a lot of its comic potential but I felt that more could have been done with the idea and the ending is a big let-down. Could and should be better. Enjoyable but rent it first or buy on sale or second. It is fun but not sure if it is worth full price. It must've made for a great pitch meeting: Male chauvinist advertising executive gains the ability to hear the thoughts of any woman around him. Add Mel Gibson--as Nick, the divorced "man's man" who can charm almost any woman into bed--and you've got high-concept comedy made in Hollywood heaven, right? Not necessarily. The smartest thing director Nancy Meyers did withWhat Women Wantis dispose of this ludicrous plot contrivance before it wears out its welcome. It's fun to see Mel react to a deafening chorus of female thoughts, but his dubious "gift"--courtesy of an accidental electro-shock in his bathtub--is a mixed blessing for the audience. The women in Nick's life conveniently think in complete sitcom-friendly sentences, and the novelty quickly wears thin. The movie improves by focusing on the fallout of Nick's predicament. Exploiting his unfair advantage, he sabotages the career of his new boss (Helen Hunt) even as he's falling in love with her; says all the right things to the aspiring actress (Marisa Tomei) who previously spurned his advances; and uses mind reading to curry favor with his 15-year-old daughter (Ashley Johnson). This two-faced scheming isn't malicious, however, andWhat Women Wantis blessed by Gibson's amiably nuanced performance. His graceful riff on Fred Astaire is a dazzling surprise, and as Nick reforms, Gibson takes major credit for whatever depth this movie achieves. After a bit of nonsense,What Women Wanthas a lot to say about maleandfemale behavior, be it noble or unappealing. It's both amusing and truthful, and that's almost as fun as a glimpse into someone else's brain.--Jeff Shannon After an accident a chauvenistic executive gains the ability to hear what women are really thinking. customer 's review (IT WORKS!!)
(Have not noticed anything)
(It does work.)
(Ogoplex3 Disapointment)
(Waste of money) I got it and I am very satisfied with the EXTREMELY positively results:
- Harder erections - 8-15 contractions - Shooting further. - My appetite for sex has doubled - I can stay hard for a long time
AMAZING Stuff! These are some of the result that I have observed so far. Regarding volume increase: Yes, I have seen an increase in volume but only slightly. This is because I have been taking Ogoplex for about a week.
I started off by taking 3 pills right after lunch for about 4 days and then on the 5th day I returned to the suggested dosage (1 pill a day with meal). I stared with high dosage only to speed up things. I will update my review after 1 month.
In short...GUYZ!! Please do yourself a small favor and get this product. I haven't noticed too much of a difference in my climax. Perhaps this is something for older people rather than the younger folks. I gave it 3 stars because I have not been consistently using it, perhaps this will change when I start using it over a period of a month or two. I have tried a few of the volume enhancers on the market today. I realyy like to ogoplex for the simple fact that it's cost effective and it does work. Semenax works very well but cost 3 times the amount of ogoplex and would recommend someone in the volume enhancing department give ogoplex a try before others. on a side note it does take 3 to 5 days to get into your system, but they all do.The longer you use it the better it is. We initially bought this product hoping to enhance our already exciting sex life. After taking this product for 15 days, my partner and I have not noticed any positive sexually enhancing effects or changes. This has turned out to be an expensive disapointment. Absolutely worthless! The supplement does not provided enhancement in any way. You do more for yourself and your partner if you drink a cup of coffee.
It is composed of a "proprietary blend" and 25% of Vitamin A&E. Unless you are having sexual problems as a result of extreme vitamin deficiencies, this product will do nothing for you.
Furthermore, I am suspicious of the positive postings for these pills. I wouldn't put it past the manufactures to post positive ratings in an attempt to generate sales.

(Not my thing)
(This rabbit can really HOP!!)
(what a pleaser)
(Oh How Lovely!) The suction cup does NOT stick. It's bulky and rather unwieldy. If this is a rabbit, then i'll just go back to a normal vibe. not worth it. This was my first rabbit. I have discovered rabbits just aren't my thing. I either like deep penetration or direct vibration. I wish the rabbit part was detachable, but I see most rabbits aren't like that. this half-way penetration is annoying to me. and when you reach the beads part, it stops squirming and circling. Other problems: the suction is bad. i tried it on a wall, didn't work, tried it on a wood floor, didn't work. its pointless which is sad cause one main reason i bought this was the idea of a suction cup to hold it in place. I'm surprised people haven't complained how annoying the sound is! its not very loud, but its not close to silent. and my biggest problem is just the sound it makes! its not a regular vibrating. When it squirms in circles it makes a whirling noise with a certain pattern to it like, whirling around, pausing, round, pause, round, pause. i find it incredible distracting. I have no problems with vibrating sounds but this whirling is just too distracting for me! In general, if you like rabbits than this isn't horrible, if you can handle the sound it makes. I do like the squirming and the softer material is it made out of, I just don't like rabbits general. Plus amazon is starting to annoy me because I bought this for $22 and 3 days later it was down to $20. This product worked really well. I have an over-sized bouncy ball that I tried to get it to suction onto, and it stayed for a few minutes, but once things got hot, I started to clench my kegel muscles a bit too hard, and the vibrator unstuck from the ball. I'm sure if I put it on a more sturdy surface like the shower wall or something, that I can clench for as long or as hard as I want to without worrying that it will detach. Also, if you squeeze your kegel muscles too hard while its in you, the beads kind of stop rotating/ get stuck. Other than that, I guess you can say that I just have to play nice. LOL =0) It's a wonderful toy, and the veins make it feel real inside you, and the head is a nice shape as well, not to |
