(Nothing New, But Serves the Purpose)

(sex sampler)

(Seductive Sex Positions-Sex Essentials Videos)

(Disappointed)

(Worth it)
There's nothing new or fancy in this DVD. However, if you're someone like me whe's not into hard-core porn, you may find this one pretty enjoyable. Whenever me and my guy watch it, the activity afterwards is extremely stimulating. So, the video serves it's purpose. If you are looking for something new, this is not for you.
I just recently watched the video. I found the "woman on top" and the "seated" positions to be the most erotic and exciting positions in the video. I did not find the missionary and other positions as erotic. I wish some of the scenes had been longer especially the woman on top.
Nice Video, My husband and I both enjoyed it. Nice looking couples. The only issue for me, as a women was I got distracted by the "instructions" @ the bottom of the screen, but it didn't bother my husband.
I was expecting to learn the art of the whole process but the video only show the intercourse position. There's no lesson on foreplay eg: how to rub or touch your partner or where to touch first and etc.
You can find all of these positions (and more) just by searching the internet. But it is really nice to just press play on the dvd player. They offer a little instruction that is helpful as well. The awesome sex we had right after viewing this video was worth the price alone.
Seductive Sex Positions is the definitive video guide for today's lovers. Join Crystal Lowe and Natasha Ray as they provide detailed instruction while you and your lover enjoy 27 seductive sex positions demonstrated by 3 loving couples. Choose to watch with voiceover instruction and introductions, or choose Lovemaking Mode to enjoy the erotic visuals and sensual mood music in the background while you and your partner make love. Looking for some fun? Spice it up with the Random Position Selector! Three ways to watch and infinite possibilities for your sex life!

(What you see is what you get)

(It delivers what it promises, often to sizzling effect)

(not what it claims to be)

(Delivers what you would hope it will)

(Typical fake soft porn non-lesbian acting...)
This DVD is, as claimed, a celebration of Sapphic Love. The soundtrack, which is entirely music and narrative, is interrupted at the beginning of each segment for a quote from Sappho herself (in English translation).

The actresses were sexy, the sex was both tender and passionate, and it seemed to me that in most of the scenes, the two women were very open to each other. I'm sure a 17-year-old boy would definitely enjoy it; oh to be 17 again!

There was one review in which it was remarked that the actors were acting; it is almost self-evident that if a camera is present, only the shallowest of people can emote in complete sincerity. There was even an accusation that the women were not Lesbians. I hardly dare to point out that most women who feel able to star in a piece such as this are probably bisexual, at the very least. This cynical politicisation of video reviews helps neither heterosexuals nor homosexuals, men or women.

The only problems I have with this often scorching production are 1) The image isn't QUITE as crisp as it could be, though it's definitely acceptable-to-good;

2) There is a relatively minimal amount of eye contact, smiles&words exchanged between most couples (although, twice removed that I am--as a man,&again as a viewer--I'm imagining all kinds of cues&interchanges may have been made between partners that are not overtly evident to me). Though it sometimes seems plausible, by the nature of their interactions, that some of the members of the (nine) couples may not have even met their partners before their sessions, most display SOME intimacy--above&beyond the sexual, obviously;

And 3) All we hear, following the somewhat dry, relatively brief instructive narratives from sexologist Dr. Patti Britton, is music--no sighs, cries or groans of ecstasy. Oh well. (These well-intentioned, helpful observations--some of which tiptoe over the edge from being sober, wise coaching, to becoming unintentionally a little funny, to me--are aimed at men, with the goal of making them better lovers.)

Despite these relatively minimal reservations, let me quickly add that much of what happens here is quite exciting! Most of the women are very attractive, some are downright gorgeous,&there is a feast of very well-filmed, utterly erotic encounters here that should leave anyone who is interested in this kind of play very satisfied. It may be of interest to note that, other than one partner usually taking the lead, there wasn't a lot of obvious (to me), clearly intended distinction made between butch&femme; virtually all of the women are quite feminine in appearance.

For the record, there's little silicone present,&of that, no one sports basketball-sized breasts.

There's a bonus, short photo gallery of stills, showcasing one other couple, but it's very tame compared to what we see in the main nine chapters.

All in all, highly recommended.

WARNING: This is not an instructional video nor a guide to anything. It is a collection of scenes from porn films. The menu/commentary makes this clear by citing which films the scenes are from. One female couple after another engages in, frankly, unconvincing love scenes, and the unconvincing part has nothing to do with the fact that they're attractive actresses (lots of lesbians are attractive), it's because the scenes simply aren't that erotic. Okay, I'm no expert on lesbian sexuality, but I would be surprised to learn that any noticeable percentage of lesbians consider these accurate depictions of how women make love to other women. As a heterosexual male, I suppose no nude love scene between two women can be deemed a COMPLETE waste of time, but I sincerely wanted an instructional video. If I'd wanted a porn film, I'd have bought one.
This is the best "sexology" DVD I've seen - no tedious "talking heads", no fake groans, just a brief voice-over at the start of each sequence commenting on the notable aspects of what will happen and then the action starts with two feminine women (there are different couples throughout) to an accompaniment of appropriate background music. Each sequence or chapter generally follows what you'd expect to be a natural progression, although the action is abbreviated a little from what it should take in reality - no doubt because of time constraints on a DVD - including explicit cunnilingus close-ups. There is a gallery bonus feature on the menu although this is just a slow slide slow of another couple. [...].
This is not "HOT" in my opinion, it is totally typical acting out soft porn type of sex scenes. This would appeal to a straight 17 year old male. The women are clearly not having "real" sex, they aren't even good at pretending that they're aroused. They aren't bad looking, they're just the usual cast of characters. No "real" lesbian would have such hideous fingernails (for obvious reasons) and have sex with such stand off and POSED positions. Boring. UGH, don't bother.
Lovemaking techniques between women. Learn new and highly pleasuring ways to kiss, caress, gently touch, and actively extensive variety of techniques.

(Typical dry and senseless Woody allen humor!)

(Woody in and out of control)

(An uneven collection of sketches mixing superb comedy with a dated feel)

(One of Woody Allen's Funniest Films...)

(Singular Hiccup in an Otherwise Great Series of Comedies)
This is a film that will leave a lasting impression on the viewer, but not because of it's clever writing, content and filming. It will be because of some of the most low based and stupid humor on film. There are some funny moments, but they are so few that you wonder why you even spent time watching it. This film does not show the best of Woody Allen, in fact, almost just the opposite.
"Sex" comes during a difficult transition in Woody Allen's film career. He was veering towards laughs with more substance ("Love and Death", "Annie Hall" and "Manhattan") while trying to break away from the more traditional guffaws ("Take The Money and Run", "Bananas"). He was logically growing into the role of a serious filmmaker.
But "Everything You Always Wanted.." shows Allen's frustrations at translating jokes. Some jokes---such as a man trying to have sexual relations with a giant loaf of rye bread---are funny when said, but take the joke too far when dramatized, undermining the natural humor.
On the other hand...You've got to admire a comic mind which can conjure up such wild goings-on in this film: doctors drift into love affairs with sheep, monstrous mammaries rampage the countryside, and even Woody himself gives a tip-of-the-hat to his comic idol Bob Hope as a cowardly jester (what else would you expect from Woody?).
Although EYAWTKAS stumbles on some poorly-translated jokes, it's a lot of fun!

In the late 1960s one Dr David Reuben released a book entitled EVERYTHING YOU WANTED TO KNOW ABOUT SEX *BUT WERE AFRAID TO ASK. Woody Allen's 1972 "movie adaptation" uses the questions of Dr Reuben's question-and-answer format as the titles for 7 comedic sketches all on sexual themes. This was Allen's third conventional film, and his growing importance in Hollywood is evident from the film's all-star cast.

The opening "Do Aphrodisiacs Work?", set in medieval times, has Woody Allen as a court jester who seeks to seduce the queen. Most of the humour here consists of anachronism: the jester's jokes are too bad for even a borscht belt comedian, and the dialogue consists of Elizabethian stylings mixed with sexual terminology and crude slang from the present.

The following sketch, "What is Sodomy?", is for many viewers the very best. A New York City general practitioner (Gene Wilder) is visited by an Armenian shepherd () who begs the doctor to restore the magic to relationship of him and a cherished sheep. What ensues, with the doctor descending ever deeper into madness, is made hilarious by Wilder's committed performance and the dialogue is immensely quotable. Another high point of the film is "Why Do Some Women Have Trouble Reaching an Orgasm?". Shot in black and white and with an Italian dialogue, the segment is Allen's hommage to the cool ambience of Antonioni and Fellini. Allen plays a suave, sunglasses-wearing film director who cannot manage to satisfy his wife, played by Louise Lasser, until they begin having risky sex in public places. The fun comes not only in the challenges the man must face in making his wife happy, but also in Allen's ridiculous accent while speaking Italian.

In "Are Transvestites Homosexuals?", Lou Jacobi plays a man who sneaks upstairs while at a dinner party in order to wear his hostess' clothes, and subsequently gets himself deeper and deeper in trouble. It's humorous enough, but one wonders if this segment were stronger when the film was first released. Judging from its high frequency in big Hollywood films of the 1960s and early 1970s, crossdressing must have once been a much funnier concept in that era. The following "What Are Sex Perverts?" is a parody of the game show What's My Line? where a panel of minor celebrities try to guess the perversion of a contestant, who wins $5 for every wrong guess. This is quite funny, but far too brief, as the concept could have been stretched out a bit more.

"Are the Findings of Doctors and Clinics Who Do Sexual Research and Experiments Accurate?" is a Frankenstein parody where Allen and Heather MacRae play recently acquainted sex researchers who meet a great sexologist (John Carradine), only to discover that he's a diabolical madman. The first half of this segment is pretty funny, as Allen and MacRae make their way through the doctor's castle of horrors. But the second half, when the pair seeks to defeat a giant breast ravaging the countryside, is some of the lamest humour I've seen in some time.

The characters of the last segment, "What Happens During Ejaculation?", are personifications of the organs as a man goes on a date with a woman. The brain is depicted as a NASA mission control, with Tony Randall and Burt Reynolds struggling to coordinate bodily functions. They call down to the stomach (men carting off a newly-arrived load of fettucini), and the genitals (blue-collar joes working an enormous pump), as well as other places. Much here will make you chuckle, such as the captured "saboteur" of the man's sexual ambitions, his conscience, depicted as a priest in a Roman collar, and Allen's performance as a sperm cell terrified of making the leap into the unknown. All in all, however, I find this quite dated as well.

While my overall impressions is that EVERYTHING YOU WANTED TO KNOW ABOUT SEX is quite dated, it's funny enough, and the portions with Allen as an Italian lover and Wilder as a befuddled doctor make it worth seeing at least once.

Before "Annie Hall," Woody Allen's comedy was very different. Rather than the mature quips that any Woody Allen fan is used to post-Annie Hall, most of the movies made before that are wacky, hilarious, and out-there bits that show (nowadays) Woody Allen's comedic range. "Everything You Always Wanted to Know About Sex*But Were Afraid to Ask" is a series of vignettes with Allen "answering" (supposedly) real questions. Usually in an unconventional, yet hilarious, way. Here is a brief synopsis of each:

1. Do Aphrodisiacs Work-Starring Allen and Lynn Redgrave, this story takes place near the Renaissance Period. Allen plays The Fool, the king's comedian who fails to impress anybody with his humor. The reason for this is, likely, because The Fool is written as a modern man placed in ancient times. Desperately wanting to have relations with The Queen (Redgrave), he gets a potion from a sorcerer before meeting his untimely end.

2. What is Sodomy-Gene Wilder plays a doctor who is shocked to learn that an Armenian shepherd has had sex with one of his sheep. When the man brings the sheep in, the doctor finds himself falling in love and conducting an affair with a sheep. Sounds morbid, but is just used as a (slightly insane) metaphor.

3. Why Do Some Women Have Trouble Reaching an Orgasm-This vignette is in Italian (I think) and stars Allen as a Marcello Mastroianni-like Italian man who has recently married. Problem is, he can't give his wife an orgasm...Except in a public place.

4. Are Transvestites Gay-In this one, a man goes to his daughter's fiancées parents house for dinner with his wife. Once there, he goes to the bathroom but finds himself in the room of the parents trying on the mothers clothing. Everything is fine, until he is forced to flee out a window and finds his purse snatched outside.

5. What Are Sex Perverts-In black&white, this vignette is about a gameshow in which people come on and reveal their perversions. Watch for a young Regis Philbin (looking very different, but with the same unmistakable voice) as himself.

6. Are the Findings of Doctors, Who Do Sexual Research, Accurate-This stars Allen as a man traveling to see a world-famous sexual research doctor. Picking up a pretty blonde reporter along the way, he finds the man to be insane and attempting to use them for his experiments. Pretty soon, a giant killer breast is on the loose.

7. What Happens During Ejaculation-This stars Burt Reynolds and Woody Allen as some workers in a man's body, controlling what he does. Allen plays a sperm that is scared about being "sent out" into the world.

The film contains lots of metaphors, lots of double-entendres, and lots of hilarity. Despite it's subject matter, it's not graphic. There's no nudity or anything. The movie has a large cast and is easily one of the funniest films Woody Allen has ever done. Every vignette is good and none of them overstay their welcome (the film is only 88 minutes). The movie is so different from other Woody Allen material that it's possible that people who DON'T like Woody Allen might enjoy this movie. It's one of his finest.
GRADE: A-

From 1969's Take the Money&Run to well into the 80's, Allen created a series of comedies that established him as one of the preeminant writer/director/actor one-man-bands in the history of moviemaking. An argument can be made that Allen didn't really run out of gas until the mid nineties and the Soon-Yi&Mia Farrow public relations debacle trashed his image forever. The danger of filming a series of skits is, inevitably, some skits are going to be stronger than others. Thus, EYAWKASBWAA is a mixed bag with generally blah results. Allen starts the movie in fool's motley and ends dressed as a sperm. In between is some really funny stuff and some really tedious stuff.
A collection of vignettes, loosely based on the book by Dr. David Rueben, written and directed by Woody Allen,Everythingcontains some very funny moments. It's easy to forget that the cerebral Allen excelled at the type of broad, Catskill, dirty jokes and visual gags that run amok here. It's also remarkable how dirty this 1972 movie really was--bestiality, exposure, perversion, and S&M get their moments to shine. The Woody Allen here, who appears in many of the sketches, is a portent of the seedy old Allen ofDeconstructing Harry. Although the final bit, which takes place inside a man's body during a very hot date, is hilarious, most ofEverythingfeels like the screen adaptation of a '70s bathroom joke book. Still, a must for Allen fans.--Keith Simanton

(Seduction of Inga)

(It's sucks, don't buy it...)
Excellent nostalgiac film from early 80's, watch it to be seduced by this feeling and for a retro effect. Soft-core porn. If you're looking to simply get excited like the other reviewer, rent a porno instead.
I guess I was expecting humor and at least SOME nudity... but these movies barely had ANY and they both sucked. They had no plot, no good actors/actressess, no humor whatsoever, VERY cheap made (you can tell by the 8.00 price tag...), and deserves a PG-13 rating... Even though it was 8 dollars, I am still wanting my money back!! PLEASE don't buy this retarded movie!!

(ok flik)

(Surprisingly exciting)

(Sexed up, but still boring)

(Exceeds the formulaic take on the bank heist genre)

(The best caper film I've seen in years)
Statham is always great, but this movie was slow and boring. The only good part is that its a true story. And the English accents drove me crazy.
If you want a great movie, its not this one. Watch Street Kings!!

I didn't know anything about this film prior to seeing it other than that it was based on a true story about a group of English petty criminals who decide to tunnel beneath a bank in order to rob safe deposit boxes. The heist is the idea of a woman played by Saffron Burrows, who has a specific and ulterior motive for wanting to rob a certain safe deposit box.

Jason Statham shows that he's grown as an actor in this one. He's moved beyond simply scowling and karate chopping people in the windpipe. His crew members are distinct and colorful, and they are extremely likeable despite their criminal acts.

This film isn't fancy. It's a sad story told simply and in straightforward fashion. It's not as polished as The Italian Job or as smarmy as Ocean's Eleven, Twelve and Thirteen. It's a no-frills tale that will leave you wondering at the lengths people will go to for wealth and to save their skin when they get in trouble.

The Bank Job has more nudity and blatant semi-porn than any movie I've seen in a while. Unless you're a thirteen year old male, or want to watch porn without the stigma of actually having to rent it, you might find this movie a bit boring. I'm all for period pieces that are free from cliched car chases, violent shoot-em ups, or two-dimensional characters, but sadly this movie lacks the former but without the compelling plot of a true drama. There is a haphazard quality to the film. At times I was expecting it to go the direction of Oceans 11 and be a 'lovable set of criminals' movie where each character contributes their set of skills to accomplish a goal; a sort of criminal 'magnificent seven.' The Bank Job starts down that path, but then abandons it in mid stream.

Aside from Jason Stratham's character, all of the criminal gang are faceless and pretty unremarkable in the end. There is little likability among them. Also, the stakes feel fairly low until near the end of the film, when they are jacked through the roof, contributing to the unbalanced quality of the narrative flow. Most importantly, one of the best plot elements is left relatively unexplored: the story of a female MI5 agent who has infiltrated a domestic terrorist organization. Deeper examination of her story would have provided a very interesting parallel to the main action.

This is a busting at the seams steam fest with crud loads of gratuitous sex, nudity, and titillation, but with very little real substance. If you want a cleaner alternative, check out Flawless. If you want a more traditional, more action packed heist movie, watch The Italian Job. If you want something in the middle, there is always The Thomas Crown Affair.

I went into "The Bank Job" thinking it would be a rather formulaic cinematic take on the bank heist genre. Instead, I was pleasantly surprised. This is quite good stuff! I especially liked the 'Extras' on the DVD, which reinforced how much of the tale was snatched from a real-life event. Hats off to co-writers Dick Clement&Ian La Frenais for wrapping a taut thriller around that.

I was looking for a way to characterize my feeling about Jason Statham. Then, I read this pitch-perfect gem from reviewer Monkdude on these pages: "I'm not the biggest Jason Statham fan, mainly because he always looks and sounds the same in every role, but here he shows a little more range and is quite likeable."

Exactly! He'll always be Handsome Rob (The Italian Job (Special Collector's Edition)) in my book. Lucky for me, he continues to play slight variations on that role. Hey, why mess with success? The guy's carved out quite a good career, despite having started as a model. [Guy Ritchie put him Lock, Stock&Two Smoking Barrels (Widescreen Edition) straight from a French Connection UK ad shoot.]

What struck me in the Extras is how Statham's managers picked and shepherded this film as a project for him. [I think this was Steve Chasman discussing this point - he's a producer of the film.] I'm impressed. As I mentioned earlier, Statham's got a nice little career going. Good management has definitely played a part in that. Good show, Steve Chasman.

Everybody enjoys a good heist flick, and this one is much better than most. Based on the true story of the 1971 robbery of a bank in London's Baker Street, it involves a group of small-time crooks who use ingenuity and imagination to make their big score by tunneling under the bank's vault. And this one turned out to be bigger even than the Great Train Robbery. Terry Leather, whose used car business is slightly bent, is recruited by a woman with whom he used to be involved -- who was strong-armed into it by MI-5, which actually wants to acquire the contents of one of the bank's safety deposit boxes, which includes some incriminating photos involving a Royal Person, which were taken by a Trinidadian hoodlum, whom the government is consequently powerless to arrest. Yes, stated like that, it's a somewhat complicated plot, but the characters explain everything very nicely along the way. Not all the characters survive the robbery's aftermath, but those who do pretty much get away with it -- and are mostly sympathetic, at that. One thing that makes this yarn especially enjoyable, at least to me, is that there are no big-name stars. In fact, Peter Bowles (whom I remember from _To the Manor Born,_ 25 years ago) is the only one I had even heard of. This means the actors are defined entirely by their roles here, and the result is almost like a documentary. The result is much preferable to the _Ocean's Eleven_ remake.
Disney The Bank Job (Blu-ray) A small-time crook takeson a bank heist when an old friend offers him an inside track to the vault. Along with his hastily assembled team of low-rung criminals, Terry (Statham) finds himself deep into this real-life heist and quite suddenly the target of ruthless mobsters, the police, government officials at the highest level, and even the royal family.
A cheerful, energetic, and completely entertaining movie,The Bank Jobfollows some small-time hoods who think they've lucked into a big-time opportunity when they learn a bank's security system will be temporarily suspended--little suspecting that they're being manipulated by government agents for their own ends. The result is that the movie doubles its pleasures: While the robbery itself has the usual suspense of a heist film, when the robbery is over the hoods find themselves being hunted by the police, the government, and brutal criminal kingpins who were storing dangerous information in a safety deposit box.The Bank Jobwon't win any awards, but it's enormously fun. Director Roger Donaldson (No Way Out, Species) propels the action along with vigor, editing zippily with perfect clarity among multiple storylines and various colorful characters. Jason Statham (Snatch, The Transporter), as the leader of the bank robbers, successfully steps away from his usual bone-crunching roles to a more human presence. The rest of the cast--including Saffron Burrows (Deep Blue Sea), Keeley Hawes (Tipping the Velvet), David Suchet (Poirot), and many faces familiar from British film and television--give their characters the right degree of personality and flavor without getting fussy or detracting from the headlong rush of the story. A little sex, a lot of action, a sly sense of humor, and a twisty plot; if more movies had these basic pleasures, the world would be a happier place. --Bret Fetzer
