(Beware - Defective or just dangerous) 『I hung this chair, new out of the box, yesterday. I sat it it and while getting comfortable the upper wooden bar broke and hit me in the face, effectively like getting hit with a baseball bat. I bled all over myself and went to the ER where I ended up with 8 stitches running from the corner of my eye all the way down my nose and a black eye. The doctor said I will have a jagged scar for the rest of my life.
I hope for others sake that this was simply defective and not just part of poor quality manufacturing. Because if this is the quality to expect, then if and when that bar breaks people will be badly injured as I can testify.
You can bet that I am going to be contacting the manufacturer and likely an attorney as well. When I get a chance I will be posting photos of the broken chair.』
(Red Canvas Swing) 『Very comfortable, easy to install. It's my all time favorite out door seating. I'm short so I wish the 'beer' holder hung a little lower. The webbing on the arm holders is twisted but doesn't affect function. Really sturdy but needs to be hung from a large hook and eye, with a large S hook. (Nothing like the picture on Amazon) 『I'm in the midst or returning the item. It was nothing like what was shown in the picture. Rough-finished 1-inch dowel pieces, poor surface smoothness with a lot of dings and divots, very dark (much darker than in the photo) inconsistent surface finish to the varnish or whatever was used on the dowels. The rope to hang the upper crosspiece (shown disappearing from the top of the picture at about 60 degree angles from the dowel) is so short that it makes more like 10-20 degree angles. Rope is dark polypropylene that's been quickly heated to seal the ends together. Worst of all, the rope joins are done by pulling the rope plies apart in the middle of rope sections and putting other ropes through the holes. Not something a sane person does to load-bearing ropes. A lot of the sections hang 'almost' symmetric and even. But only almost.
Instructions are typical not-made-in-America fare - iffy grammar, nothing on how to hang it properly, how long a rope or ropes to use, how to suspend the foot rest versus the chair. A perusal of the EWINS site shows the same picture and a longer description that's full of horrible typos and grammar.
I'd hoped for the best after seeing chairs like this at the art fair part of the Gilroy Garlic Festival years ago. This one, I unwrapped it and within about 5 minutes knew I'd NEVER trust the safety of someone in my family to hanging from/on it. As a further warning, if you go so far as ordering, pay attention to how it's folded up. There is only one very non-intuitive way to fold the parts back together so that it will fit, just barely, in the shipping box (and even then, it's about 3/4" longer than the box so that you have to distend the ends to tape it shut again.

Unfortunately, it didn't. My dog still makes a mess with the bowl and I guess he just pushes down the floating part so he still ends up gulping down water. Also, the bowl is pretty small for even my medium size dog.』
(My Weimaraner drinks without leaving trails of water now!) 『I cannot tell you how excited I am about this product! I was very skeptical as Weimaraners tend to have jowls that collect the water and later lead to trails of water all over the place. My pup is very well behaved otherwise and having just moved to a condo, I was really concerned about the cleanliness of our place.
I bought the bowl after much deliberation and I have to say, I am SO glad I did. At first I filled the little insert with water most of the way and she got used to the concept of having the little floater in the middle (of course at that point in time, there were water trails but as with any learning process, patience is a must). After I saw that she was non-plussed by the floater, I then removed half of the water from the floater and that restricted some of the water flow but now she was somewhat licking the water off of it and getting used to the sensation. Still water trails of course. Finally, after a week or so of this, I removed all of the water from the floater and she now drinks in a way that leaves no water in her jowls. I am happy to report "0" water trails in my condo. What a pleasure this is!!! I don't have to wipe after her or stress about stepping into gross doggy drool anymore! I recommend this to anyone out there but you HAVE to make sure you are patient and train your dog gradually to drink slower. You won't regret it!

I would highly recommend this film to anyone looking to enjoy a Shakespearean drama, or anyone just looking to watch a wonderful film.』
(Much to say about nothing...) 『Very Shakespeare meets Jane Austen meets...`Mama Mia', `Much Ado About Nothing' is in the very least an interesting feat. It has elements that work and elements that don't, and while certain parts (or at least one part) of this film are spellbinding, as a whole I don't really feel I can agree with the consensus (who seem to really, really love this movie).
The film is a hodgepodge of matchmaking, lover's quarrels and deceitful jealousies, and while Shakespearian legend Kenneth Branagh tries to give the film enough sparkle and enough darkness he fails to really give the film a solid flow. Add to this the fact that barely any of the actors are suitable for their parts (which in some areas is rather shocking) and you have a film that fails to live up to the hype for me. I will admit that I am not the hugest follower of this type of film, so many of you may feel that has hindered me in my approach to rating this film, but I must say that I was genuinely excited for and longing to see this and that I have enjoyed very much other films of this sort.
This one is just missing so much.
The few who have actually given this a negative review have balked at the plot, which I think is one of the few things that cannot be balked at. I actually found the story being told to be an interesting and amiable one. Young Claudio is in love with Leonato's daughter Hero and so Don Pedro takes it upon himself to get the two acquainted while struggling to draw out feuding Beatrice and Benedick's true feelings for one another. Don John own evil jealousies have caused him to seek ruination of Claudio's love at any means necessary. It's actually quite absorbing.
But alas, the temperamental shifts in the film don't sit well with me. The handling of the flighty quirkiness of the characters and the dastardly subplot involving Don John are uneven to me, and the random musical numbers come off rather unnecessary to me.
And then there is the acting.
I will say this first; Emma Thompson is utterly brilliant here and deserved an Oscar, and Kenneth Branagh is, unsurprisingly, right at home and very, very good. Sadly, they are the only saving graces here. Denzel Washington seems so uncomfortable here and actually comes off like a young child in an adult production. Michael Keaton does nothing but his Beetlejuice shtick, and he does it poorly. Keanu Reeves is, in my opinion, the worst actor working today or maybe even ever, and his Razzie nomination for this very film is not unjustified. The forgettable Robert Sean Leonard (I mean, really, can you remember his performance in any of his movies? He's always outshone by everyone else) is once again, forgettable (and very amateurish) and the beautiful Kate Beckinsale is nothing but pure eye candy with no real talent to back it up. Like I said, some of this is shocking (ok, Washington is the only one that is really shocking) but that's how the cards fell.
I'll take a minute to just bask in the glory of Emma Thompson though, since she is an utter delight. This is one of those rare occasions when a performance is leagues better than the film that owns it. She completely captures the free spirited wit of this young woman with the perfect mixture of sarcasm and determination. She is a woman in love yet she is stubborn in her own ideals. She is tender yet not weak and she is her own woman, complete with a fiery life growing within her. All of this boisterous nature and yet her most compelling and startling scene comes when she bares her darkest emotions (that whole "kill Claudio" scene is FLAWLESS). She knows how to make this character work in her entirety, even if the film attempts the same and comes off uneven.
So, see it for Thompson, because it is one of the best supporting performances of the 90's, but know in advance that there are far better films of this nature to be seen.』

Season Two isn't much healthier on the growth and esteem of the women involved. All are still relationship fanatical, needy and practically fraught and foaming at the mouth for commitment because apparently the end point in a woman's life is to be married. Note, I'm not a feminazi here, not militant or extreme, as I don't have a problem with commitment, monogamy, or marriage...just a concerned woman eyeing the horizon for the future of womankind who sees a very poor one; full of little girls sleeping around (more younger and younger), valuing their virtue less and less as they don the whorish clothing we see in juniors sections around the world, flashing parts of their bodies on television claiming momentary loss of inhibition due to excessive alcohol consumption, selling off parts of their souls to settle down with anyone, and all the while making themselves out to be the second sex instead of an equal.
Once again Big is in the picture vacillating between a pig and charmer, and Carrie is all too happy, like the little petulant masochist, to let him use her as a ahem...."dumpster" and nothing more. What did she expect when they got back together? Roses and a ring? Moving in together? If you have to question the validity of a relationship and have to hide it from people, than honestly you don't have one. Depraved, pathetic, and fairly degrading to the female kind in general. Charlotte is still mousy and about as wholesome as you can be with this troop, though equally promiscuous. Carrie (as aforesaid) is pitiable and full of the same silly quotables/questions she uses to "decode" men...though how anyone can assume she's a master of relationship advice is beyond me. Miranda seems to be more career oriented, as her jaded relationship views (not all unwarranted) have poisoned her on the idea of a healthy one (though she manages to encounter at least one this season). And Samantha, oh Samantha, still getting herself into interesting situations and circumstances with her slew of partners while fighting stereotype, age, and society's puritanical viewpoints. This was one of my least favorite seasons overall because we continue to see the decline of Carrie, in what will be (later seasons) an unending dance with the man we know as Big in her life, who'll, for years to come, jerk her around like the clingy, miserable doll she is luring her back over and over, destroying not only hers, but other relationships in the process.
Yes, it's entertaining to listen to the ladies as they lunch and gossip, sipping on their trendy cocktails, and accessorized in insanely overpriced ill looking clothing. There's even a handsome diss cameo from Bon Jovi. Worth catching on the occasion On Demand, but I wouldn't buy. 』

We got some our of the ordinary cooling/heating, but nothing that got her anywhere revelatory or celestial.
Stepping back a bit before we get into the details: the folks at K-Y should be pleased because it's apparent from a good number of the reviews here on Amazon.com that consumers equate "K-Y" with "personal lubricant." That's a good thing, as it implies deep and satisfying market penetration, and wide consumer name recognition. Good on ya, K-Y. But, these advantages are not working in K-Y's favor when it comes to this product. Too many folks aren't even taking the time to read the name of the product--arousal gel--or even the instructions on the box, and they're ladling this stuff all over super-sensitive sexual terrain like gravy on a biscuit. And then they're wrongfully blaming the product for their own inattention. That's not K-Y's fault, but it's still a black mark for the product, especially in influential consumer feedback such as Amazon.com's.
So, at the outset, K-Y needs to adjust the way they are selling this product. First, its packaging is far too similar to the Yours+Mine Couples Lubricant product, with the black box and the red-violet-blue colors. Even the two products' fonts are similar. K-Y needs to differentiate this product, to differentiate between lube and its other products.
My wife and I are Amazon.com Vine K-Y veterans, having tried the Yours+Mine product a few months back. My pronouncement was that it was just not that great. As hard as we tried to really draw out of this new product something more positive, we disappointedly report that this new one also just isn't that great. We didn't really get any of the promised intensity, heightened response, dramatic climactic harmonious peakage, glorious incontrovertible transcendental orgasmo-actualization, etc.
The gel is not like a thick shave gel, but more like a thick oil, not drippy, but it will flow if you slop too much of it about. Its consistency is very much like oil, which I'm sure also adds to the unfortunate and mistaken impression of some that this is a lube. Its scent is a faint minty. This gel also is incompatible with any kind of oral explorations. At first the taste is very slightly minty, but within seconds it is flat and bitter, and it does leave an unpleasant aftertaste.
We took a shot at this product on five occasions, and really tried to make it go. In the end, all my wife really got was a modestly different--not necessarily pleasant or stimulating or intense, but definitely not unpleasant--sensation. She described it basically as the same as the Yours+Mine reaction, kind of like a very mild heat rub/menthol cooling sensation. My reaction to the Yours+Mine was that it was essentially inorganic, and that kind of added sensation was a bit to far afield for me, not natural and therefore off-putting. It wasn't unpleasant, but it didn't really heighten anything.
Our experience was this was that it was more distractive than anything else. My wife experienced it as mostly cooling, with a little bit of heat in the sensation. She described this as "unnatural." We experienced no burning or other problems, but while not unpleasant, the reported sensation was out of the ordinary, and instead of light-speed rocketing to alternate dimensions of corporeal ecstasy, it was just a diversion from the well-practiced event. My wife did not experience increased intensity, no increased arousal, no earlier release, or increase in desire or satisfaction. As the man in this equation, I don't know whether I should be happy it didn't supplant me, or disappointed that I didn't help take her somewhere new.
This tiny product comes in a pretty big box, much like the computer software of 1 CD and a pamphlet in a package the size of a college textbook. One has to wonder how much of this product's price is simply to cover its packaging. So, K-Y: go with something like "tiny vial, big sensation," or, like jewelry, "every woman loves to receive a tiny black package...," "like nitro, use sparingly," something like that. K-Y: Use this product's size as part of its marketing strategy.
Others have noted the little black pouch, a vey sensuously soft black, with a double black drawstring and a delicate embroidered "K-Y" in silver thread--neato! I have to agree. Maybe the pouch is for travel, when one wants to be discreet and private. Or, more likely, the pouch lends an aura of the hidden, secretive, mysterious and naughty to what no doubt is a very finely tuned chemical product honed in years of laboratory and clinical testing. As anyone knows, there is money to be made from you-know-what, and if you can make it just a little bit more naughty, while at the same time being straightforward, striking the balance between the adult and mature discussion of a topic of mutual interest and the downright filthy, then there is even more money to be made.
You get roughly 20 applications in the roughly Chapstick-sized tube. Now, some have complained about the price, but at a little over $1 per application, this is not unreasonable.
Bottom line: More than anything, read the box, people--know exactly what you're smearing on your whosis. My wife and I did, but we just didn't get its hoped-for results. This new and innovative product was not a failure, nor was it unpleasant. It just didn't work for my wife the way it was intended. Your results may vary.』

This lubricant is better than most but NOT the best I've tried. When I pumped a little of it in my finger tips it wasn't as slick as my GUN OIL lubricant (it is a little thick and when I shake it in the bottle it doesn't move as freely like my Oil Gun lube), it can't be scented from a distance but you can smell it when it is under your nose and smells like old glue (it tastes like it though). It does get TACKY after a few minutes and does need REAPPLICATION, don't be fooled. MORE IMPORTANTLY this lubricant is not entirely h20-based, I tested it on water and you can see oils clouds separating from the cream, very little but noticeable.
If your looking for a really good lubricant that beats the most, this is it! If looking for the best look away.

The questions are very similar to those that would be on an actual IQ test. The one thing that disappointed me were the math questions. They seemed extremely simple... one example is "Mary lied to Fred about how much her shoes cost. She told him they were $400, but they were 2.5 times more than that. How much were the shoes?". It seemed too simple - and it was! All of the math questions aside, this is a great brain-teaser game to play as a group.』
(Worst...board game...ever) 『This is by far the worst board game I've ever played, in every way. Don't be fooled by the "IQ" in the title: unless yours is in the bottom 10%, you'll find the questions almost entirely lacking in challenge or interest. This is about the average level: "Fill in the blanks of this holiday classic: 'D-CK TH- H-LLS'".
That isn't to say that there are no challenges to be found in this game: for instance, some of the questions appear to have been translated from English to Chinese and back again. Here's a lovely design feature: there are two sets of question cards, for male and female, which are supposed to be kept separate, but their backs are the SAME COLOR, so if you accidentally mix up the rather large decks, you have to pick through them one-by-one to figure out which are male and female.
