I don't recommend it, I couldn't find the power off button, finally I figure out that it's automatic. I don't like it, it looks like a bad quality toy. You can find something much better for just a couple of bills more ($3 to $7 for example).

This is my second hand held Sudoku game (the first was even worse). I can't find the "menu" screen at all, can't abort a puzzle unless I find a screwdriver and remove the batteries. I can let it sit overnight, and the next day the same half-finished puzzle is still there. I don't think you can turn off the timer. Forget the instructions! After finding my screwdriver, I then had to find a magnifying glass.

I just received this in the mail today and can't seem to get the function keys to work. I can't pause it or turn off the sound. I can touch the numbers and then touch the board and my number shows up, but so far that's the only good thing I can say about this game. The curser blinks continuosly on several different numbers and I don't know why. Right now the only way I can restart the game is to take out the battery. The instruction sheet doesn't tell how the function keys work and the type is so small I needed a magnifying glass to read it.

I'm not sure I can get a return on this and there was another one I could have bought that I probably would have been much happier with. I would say not to waste your money on this game. I wish I had seen the first review before I threw my money away on this game.

i recently purchased this game. it was a little bigger than i thought i would be. there is no light on the game so i cannot play in the dark. there is no stylus pen to punch in the numbers easier like the one my sister has. other than that the game is good to bring where you are going except when its dark you need light to play.
Lots of features. Has everything I wanted in an electronic Sudoku. I find one bad thing about this model-----numbers are small!
Well I bought this for my mother-in-law who is hooked on Su Doku. I bought it just as a small token. The price was cheap and I thought why not?

Well it is hard to see the screen. It is also a bit impractical in that if you realise that you got a number wrong 20 turns ago, you have to go and delete all the 20 turns you just spent time doing to get to it and amend it.

The price was cheap, so I was not expecting anything fancy but to be honest I was disappointed with it.

When I realise that I have gotten a number wrong I do not bother trying to find it, I just start a new game. But the fact that is is so hard to see the screen and find the curser is very annoying and in fact no one even bothers using it now. We just print out the sheets from the web and do it the old fashoned way with pen and paper on a clipboard.

As I said, no harm done, it was a cheap thing anyhow.
We are really enjoying the game. The puzzles are well done and the board is easy to see. Our only complaint is that it is difficult to figure out the operations and the cursor can be tough to spot.
The cursor is so minute it is difficult to see it.

This is the best Sudoku book (series) that I've seen. The puzzles are all one level of difficulty, so I don't have to turn to the end of the book for the hard ones while leaving the rest of the book blank. They all have unique answers, and are very challenging. It's strange to think of a puzzle as 'beautiful' but some of these are!

I've almost finished the Level 2 book, and now I've refined my techniques enough that most of the puzzles are not too difficult (in the beginning they were very challenging). Now I'll move onto Level 3.
The format is very good. Puzzles are large enough. The difficulty matches well to the level. I buy all 4 of the series for myself and as gifts. If you're tired of sudoku books which claim to have difficult puzzles and find only medium level difficulty, then this is the series for you.
I recently purchased the entire Menza series, and I have to say they've lived up to the Menza criteria. You have to focus and know your solving techniques to get through these without guessing or cheating. Do yourself a favor and purchase the book Mensa Guide to Solving Sudoku: Hundreds of Puzzles Plus Techniques to Help You Crack Them All (Mensa) to help you learn the techniques used in these puzzles. I started out by letting my wife begin with Mensa Absolutely Nasty Sudoku Level 1 (Mensa), and I've been working on Level 2.
After familiarizing myself with the solving tips, I went to work on my Level 2. Usually I go straight to the back and try and solve the last puzzle in the book. That kinda tells me how difficult the book will be. That puzzle is still unsolved. I've now worked through the first 65 puzzles in Level 2, starting from #1. I've used the X-Wing technique frequently and also some Swordfishes to get through these, so you'd better be prepared. My wife is also struggling with her Level 1, but mostly due to inefficiant candidate marking and not staying focused on all possibilities while marking. Some of her puzzles have, however, still required an X-Wing to solve.
When I get really stuck, I also tend to use a sudoku tool called Simple Sudoku. This is freeware and can be downloaded from [...]. This tool will allow you to easily see things such as hidden pairs and locked candidates when you build in your book puzzles. Use the filters to find the X-Wings and Swordfishes, and if you still have trouble, the tool will provide you with a hint, although even the hints themselves can be a little difficult to figure out.
These books are definitely for the serious Sudoku puzzlers. I can only imagine how hard the Level 4 book will be, but I'll need to work up to that. Have fun with it!
These books are so nice! The puzzles are nice and big, and the paper is high quality, which definitely makes it easier. I concur with the previous reviewer, though. Volume 2 is not noticeably harder than Volume 1. However, Volumes 3&4 will wear you out! They did me (you might know all the crazy techniques I have yet to learn). The books are really well made and a pleasure to work. I enjoy them immensely, and I hope you do as well!!! :)
I like this series quite a bit, however, I'm only giving this one 4 stars because as far as I can tell, the puzzles are not any harder than those in the first level. For my next purchase, I'm skipping level 3 and going right to level 4. Hopefully those will be harder. See my review of level 1 for why I like the series.

Even more interaction—this time used in combination with other procedures…and alotmore heavily than in the first book.

The free one from palm has a much better interface but this one seems to have a better game type selection even though it doesn't do that very well either. Since I don't have the ability to see all the options in my head I have to use the subscript features. This one is a little odd but you can set the options to give you a pop up box or direct entry. You can set it to make the subscript selection easy by letting

If you can get Astraware Sudoku you will happier. It isn't perfect either but it
is a good level above this and it is more "fun".

Filao Sudoku is a functional version that I could see using if I was working a tough newspaper game (like many you can enter you own puzzle) and solve or let it solve for you.

Summary, for $3 it isn't bad. My CD was scratched due to the center clip not being well built and during shipping it came loose. Didn't destroy any data so just annoying in my case. I would have been upset if I spent more than $10 on this program, especially with the free one you can get from Add-It.
I wasn't sure if I wanted to buy this or not because of the bad reviews but I figured $3 for a game for my phone is worth a try. Once you get used to the keys this game is great. I really don't have too much to say.. but I do think it's worth my $3. It made my wait in the dr's office/pharmacy fun. I was actually mad that the Dr came into the room fast.. I wanted to get a game in.
The display isn't working properly, so I sent an email to customer support. (There's no option to call them - email support only.) They're supposed to get back within 48 hours. 3 days later - still no response.

The previous reviewer is correct. Even for free (plus the S/H charge), it's not worth it.
Palm offers this game this month for free (shipping&handling only), but it is not worth it. It is very difficult to input numbers. There are better versions out there that are much cheaper, even more so than the $7.50 S&H I paid. I do not recommend this game and wished I would have saved my money.
