I did puzzle #1 in 5 minutes. Then I did puzzle #150 in less than 10 minutes. Same with #149. I'm not even going to bother doing the ones in between. It'll be a waste of time. If you want hard puzzles, try MENSA Absolutely Nasty Sudoku Level 4.

I bought this book for my husband because he was doing his Suduko's in ink and not finding them very challenging. This book was perfect. I put it in his stocking at Christmas (he takes it EVERYWHERE). Finds it very challenging -- which is what I hoped to achieve!
Oh, my husband loves this book! He actually has to take awhile to figure these puzzles out. It's not easy finding puzzles to challenge him, but this book fits the bill perfectly.
I've bought it for my mom, and she loves this book very much! SuDoku are hard and very interesting!

I bought this for my son when he was 4, and he hasn't really gotten the hang of it so far. He usually loves puzzle games, so it may still be a bit over his head, but the book hasa nice progression of super easy to slightly more difficult puzzles. I actually with I had started with something like this as it took me a while to "get" how the game was played.
I wanted to try to learn how to play Sudoku to keep my mind sharp. I tried in the past to learn and couldn't. I bought Sudoku puzzle magazines by Dell and Penny Press but couldn't figure out the rules on how to play.

I wanted to try to find a simple easy to understand book that had rules that i could make sense out of. I bought three including Sudoku For Dummies which was not much of a help and one with grids that had the alphabet around it. Again no help at all. Wasting all that money i almost gave up until i had and ingenious idea. Knowing that it's hard for me to learn certain things i decided i wanted to get a book that was written for children. That's when i found Kindergarten Sudoku.

I'm 50 years old and hesitated to buy a child's book but i figured i wanted the simplest easiest one i could find. Children learn from simple formats so i took a chance. I love this book. I was able to do 25 puzzles by the end of the day. By the end of the week i could do a Penny Press puzzle magazine with 9 grids. I was amazed. The rules are simple and they give you example puzzles to show you how its done.

They use numbers 1-4 then you work up 1-9. The book outlines the puzzles for you from easy to hard. There is also shapes and alphabet puzzles. I prefer the numbers but what i like is it's so easy to understand that if i forget how to do it, i just look at the book at a puzzle i did or do and easy one and it comes back to me.

If you ever wanted to learn how to play Sudoku but can't understand the rules, then get this book. You'll be doing them in no time and by the end of the week you'll be playing like you always knew how. I highly recommend this book for adults as well as for children. It's nice to find a book that explains it in plain simple english and really shows you how to do it. I give it 5 stars!
This is great for my 5 year old boys since they prefer number puzzles. Unlike other sudoku books for kids, this one has only 4X4 grids and uses only numbers. It also has different levels of difficulties.
The book is great for young kids. It is the only Sudoku book that I know of that has solely simple 4x4 puzzles. Although the puzzles are categorized as Easy, Medium, and Difficult, most of them are simple and easy to solve. Smart 4-year olds have solved many of the puzzles in the book. Children of 6 years of age solved most of the puzzles while 8-year olds can solve all the puzzles.

I strongly recommend this book for children as well as adults. One distinct feature of the book is the variety of Sudoku puzzles that are included. It even contains Sudoku puzzles with pictures of animals - dogs, cats, and fish.

This is a book containing Sudoku puzzles for children in kindergarten - ages 4 - 8 years and up. All the puzzles in the book are 4 x 4 Sudoku puzzles designed specially for these children in mind. Sudoku rules are easy - each number 1, 2, 3, and 4 must appear only once in each row, column, or block. There are 80 puzzles in the book categorized as follows: 48 Classic Sudoku, 8 Alphabet Sudoku, 8 Shape Sudoku, 8 Symbol Sudoku, and 8 Animal Sudoku. Sudoku puzzles are a fun distraction and many, many people have jumped on the bandwagon. Even some newspapers have started including Sudoku puzzles in their daily publications, and bookshelves are lined with book after book of Sudoku puzzle collections. Being unwilling to buy an endless supply of books, I picked up this Sudoku program, which came with a Kakuro program as a bonus.

This Sudoku program is user friendly, pleasant on the eyes, and it does not annoy you with incessant chatter and distracting tunes. The interface is straightforward and clean and it allows you to just play your game - it stays out of your way and it is there to offer help when you want it.

It does have some helps it can offer. You can get pencil hints, or you can check for errors. These hints come at a price, though - this particular Sudoku keeps score based on your solve time, and every request for hints reduces your score appreciably.

There are three difficulty settings, from beginner to hard. The hard setting will challenge the average player but a strong player may find it to be insufficient in terms of difficulty. This is typical of most Sudoku programs though. There are definitely better programs out there if getting really hard puzzles is the goal. The beginner setting is very appropriate for anyone just getting started, though.

I tried the included Kakuro and I did not care for it. The implementation was fine and it was similar in design to Sudoku, so the problem was not the application. The problem is that I do not like Kakuro as a game. I cannot blame the game manufacturer for that.

If you want a good Sudoku program that has a pleasant interface and a good supply of puzzles, this is a good choice. It is priced right, it is a straightforward implementation and it has a very nice interface. If you happen to like Kakuro too, this program is for you. Sure, there are much more challenging implementations of Sudoku and if that's what you need, then take a look at some of the other offerings, but this one is an unbeatable value for what you get.
